I am me and Glendon.
And on the other line with me, of course, is my man Mr Mike Debate Mike, how we doing on this hump day? You know, uh, Mike, Mike, Mike isn't like that is right much.
Someday it is Wednesday.
Hello, But no, I I am here, folks. I am here.
$3 Internets working for the time being for the next 30 seconds.
Hopefully not all kidding aside, It is good to be back here.
It is great to be here on a Wednesday, flying through the work week and another week almost down.
But right now we're at the midpoint and ah, still a lot to talk about, my friend. Yeah.
Hey, look, way obviously got off to a little bit late start.
That's kind of our m o.
But it wasn't because we weren't ready.
Uh, I had a little bit of technical difficulties to start to show, but that's fine, You know, it is what it is.
We're trying out some new things, so we're kind of going through some Ah, some hiccups here and there but the but the point of it being is eventually everything's going to work just fine.
And we're gonna be rocking a role in nice and efficiently, so Ah, we do have a little bit shorter show today.
We are off at 9 30 just because again, you know, this is the first couple weeks of kind of working with the new 8 30 to 10 a.m. schedule.
So we're so juggling some prior commitments.
So we're gonna work through those.
But we are excited because we're gonna have Ah, and you've heard the promo a few times.
I didn't play it this morning.
We're kind of like I said, we're off to a late start, so I want to kind of just jump into the show.
But we're gonna have brush Jackson on to talk about the new show that he has coming up that debuts on July the first.
So we're pretty excited about that.
And plus course, we're gonna talk a little football with him because I know you two are obviously colleagues over at locked on, and you both cover to our you know, we'll see about this year, but to ah in the past.
Very ah kee NFL teams.
So in the Patriots and the Saints, so we'll we'll see.
And that's gonna be a fun little conversation.
Oh, it definitely will be again.
Ross is someone I hold in very high regard, not just as a colleague, but as a friend as well.
And the fact that he will be hosting and along with Dylan Ah, an afternoon evening radio drive time show here on full press radio.
It is great news to me.
I'm looking forward to it.
I can't wait to listen to these guys.
Extremely entertaining, extremely informative.
Much, very much like Ian and myself.
You know, they're the evening version of Ian and myself Riveted will keep you on the edge of your seat.
And, uh, we will definitely make you wish you were listening to something else.
But not Ross in villain.
They will make you glad. Your list.
And look, this seems like a perfect time to bring up, and you can see it on the bottom scroll.
There on the bottom.

Maybe we'll do it a little test run the rest of this week.
But that will be added on the site as well.
So check it out full press radio dot com And of course, I've already mentioned it.
Download the up All right, Apple Google play.
It's simple search, full press coverage, all that fun stuff.
But anyways, before, before we get to to Ross and he's gonna be coming up here in about 15 minutes.
Um, I I There's a lot of little stupid things that I want to talk about because that's just kind of how my brain works.
Mike kind of lands on stupid topics, and it kind of just wells on it.
And, uh, obviously working from home, I watch a lot of stuff on my iPad.
I brought that up many times, and I've been watching a lot cooler recently And watching a always sunny reruns, little things here and there.
But I'm getting absolutely sick and tired of seeing this **** king of Staten Island commercial previewing this movie.
First of all, I I don't understand.
I really don't get the get the appeal of, um What the hell is his name? The main character.
Do you know the movie I'm talking about? Um, I just talking to a wall here.
Do you know what I'm talking about? Here, it's It's It's the guy from ah ah, SNL.
And I'm now completely blanking on his name.
Yeah. Pete Davidson.
Thinking of yeah, for Mother King of Staten Island. Yeah.
Um you know the fact that Steve Bushemi is gonna be in This, I guess, is enough to intrigue me and at least raise my eyebrow.
But I share your curiosity.
Let's just say I share your curiosity on this, and, uh, yeah, um, I I'm gonna let you all know what you have.
I don't I don't I do have something to have some feelings, but you know what? I I probably will, you know, will refrain at this point.
Well, look, I'm basing my opinion on the way they do these things.
They literally kill these adverti*****ts to death.
I mean, literally every single time of one of the shows on who goes to commercial.
Uh, you know, this this adverti*****t place.
So you got to understand that a part of my ranting is, uh, coming from annoyance.
But the other part is, I've just never found Pete Davidson funny or I mean, look, I I'm I'm so much locked in the yester years of SNL that I I can't I can't stand.
I really I really just don't think that the new version is for I just don't I There's hardly anything I find appealing about it.
Very rarely do I sit there, and I'm like.
OK, well, I This was actually worth watching compared to what it used to be for me.
And I'm sure as your you know, like yourself.
You know, it was it was pretty much appointment watching back in the day, but not so much anymore.
Ah, but yeah, I just I don't know.
I don't understand the obsession with the I I don't know, I Maybe it's because he was, uh was any Ah, God.
See, I'm terrible.
I saw I I feel like I'm losing my mind because I I can't think of all these like, ah, stars today's star of ah, the singer The girl that he was dating for a while That he was in the news.
Maybe I just don't get it, e I'm sick of the commercial.
It's driving me absolutely nuts, and I just every time it pops up, I just want to bang my head of gives the wall, and it kills me to see Steve Bushemi in it.
You know, I'd rather I'd rather watch Ah, the chaperone on reruns for 24 straight hours and then watch that movie.
Actually, that's that's not that bad.
I would do that anyways, to be honest with you.
Great. Yeah, I think, Yeah.
The the the girl singer that you were clamoring for their Ariana Grande right again.
Yeah, that did not work out for long at all.
But basically, what it comes down to is just to me. It's that overkill.
I'm a fan. Obviously, I do impressions.
That impressions, folks.
I'm nowhere near on this man's level, but I find Frank Caliendo funny.
I still do. To this day. I love Impressionism.
I liked Rich little.
Back in the day, I used to love Phil Hartman and Dana Carvey and guys that could capture voices of different celebrities and be able to do that.
So, you know, those are some of my, um those are some of my favorites that do comedy.
So frank TV was something that I was intrigued by when I heard about the concept.
I was sick of that show before even haired anybody that remembers the baseball playoffs that year were members on TBS, the Frank TV at about three or four spots, every single game, every single winning, and it was it was crazy.
It was just overkill to the point where I got to the point where I was just saying, You know what? I don't want to watch this anymore.
I can say I've seen everything that they're going toe.
Have I tuned into one episode? I realized that every good joke, every good voice that he did was already given away by the spot.
So that, to me, is what is wearing me out about a movie like this.
No disrespect to Pete Davidson.
There's some you know, there's some strong members of this cast.
I mean, obviously you take a look at the cats.
They just had a chance to look at it.
Bill Burr is going to be in it.
He's very funny, Man, remembers Tom a Steve Bushemi.
Obviously, I'm a huge fan of his, whether it's the time a like bald, stocky men, short, stocky, bald men.
I mean, I don't I got the hair, but I mean, you know, at the same time, you know the rest of it, I may fall into line.
Who knows? You know, it might be dating Mona Lisa Vito, but in any case of a bill, double check may have something to say about that.
He likes Mona, Lisa, Vito as well.
But in any case, folks, when you look at a movie like this that has a strong cast getting strong reviews, you start to see it just plastered all over the place, and I get it.
I understand that right now, especially in a pandemic you're trying to advertise.
Get the buzz going for the movies sometime, it can have an adverse effects.
When I said earlier, I was having feelings, it wasn't so much toward the movie itself.
I haven't seen it.
Judd Apatow is going to direct it.
We know his track record.
He's no good movies under his belt.
So maybe it will be, you know, pretty funny, but cut down on the adverti*****t a little.
If you might want to give the public a little something to look forward to, you keep advertising it like that.
Pretty soon, all the jokes go away and you get caught onto pretty quickly.
I always I'm always leery on things that are so heavily promoted.
It is saying there must be a reason they want people to view this often and early because once word gets out, it's probably not gonna be so popular.
So I hope I'm wrong.
But you never know.
No, I I don't think I think it's gonna suck, but, you know Hey, that's just me.
I'm being very It is the voice of realism.
I try to be a little diplomatic.
He comes, it's gonna suck.
No, but I'm glad.
I'm glad you brought up the frank TV, cause as soon as you started talking about it, I started getting flashbacks.
Um, is dramatic.
It was It was because, you know, I had, you know, for the most part, you know, wiped that from my memory.
I hadn't thought about that whole promo spot until literally today, and then all of a sudden, it was just I was right back there and it was just It was so maddening for that month or so that they were running it and ah, yeah, same thing.
It's just it's driving me crazy.
But that's that's not what I intended to spend the whole morning talking about.
I just I had to get that off my chest, because again, it was just like I was watching a lot always sunny yesterday while I was just sitting, working and I think I saw that commercial like 175 times. I don't know.
Maybe I'm exaggerating.
That's what it felt like, but it was bad.
But hey, you know, instead of being negative, I'm gonna go to the positive real quick before we hit the brake and bring Ross and to talk some talk, some new shows and ah, NFL news and notes some good news, actually, out of this neck of the woods out of my neck of the woods down here.
Um, well, good news spurring from bad news because a local high school had ah recently lost all their football equipment in a fire at the school.
And ah, former Patriots tight end and current Buccaneers tight end of so used to saying that Rob Gronkowski and the Buccaneers Foundation stepped up to the plate and replaced all the equipment.
So that popped up yesterday on Twitter and I thought that that was a really cool thing to do.
And, you know, obviously that's that's certainly something that's gonna help.
Ah, you know it.
Endear him to the community down here in Tampa.
If if if he isn't already left already because A it's it's drunk.
How can you not love the guy Todo brown when you're getting thrown out the club? But you know, hey, get throw.
Yeah, exactly, But Sergio had it coming.
Look, in any case, Robin, one thing that you can always give her up Gronkowski, whether you're a fan of his, whether you're not, I still don't understand how people are not fans of is, you know, with all of the community outreach that he did up here in New England.
I can tell you so many opportunities so many times that he took advantage of to go to visit kids in Children's hospitals all over New England, not just in Boston.
Spent a lot of time at Boston Children's Hospital, spent a lot of time at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence.
So much that he did was off the books and so much that he did was away from fan fear.
Any time there's something of need in the community, Gronk's always gonna be there.
It's not because he wants his name in the paper folks, and it's not because he wants publicity.
That's just truly how he is that's its true nature.
And it didn't surprise me to see that it all.
I'm still not over the Buccaneers emblem on issuing a shirt.
Those are the times that is just I look at that and it's like it's like a ketchup stain on your shirt.
You're trying to pay attention.
You're trying to.
It's almost like when George Costanza was having that interview and he had the possibly stuck in his teeth and the guy couldn't he couldn't listen to a word George was saying because he had the partially stuck there.
It's very similar.
It's just It's one of those things that just catches your eye and you can't get over it.
But I'm in therapy, folks.
I'm trying to deal with the loss of time and Gronk in my own way.
But not all kidding aside, It's a wonderful thing that they did down there.
You know, being able to, ah, get the football equipment back and again.
It's just a guy like Rob being able Teoh, step up and be a part of something that helps the community.
It's second nature to him.
The fans in Tampa Bay are going to see that very quickly.
Ah, that this guy is for real when it comes to all the stuff he does off the field.
And with that said, I almost forgot the, uh, speak after you're done talking.
It was so well said, you know, you took my breath away, Mike.
But with that said, though, we're gonna take our live show away for just five minutes because we're gonna go to break.
Uh, listen to these couple commercials.
Then when we come back, we're gonna have Ross Jackson on.
We're gonna talk, talk a lot of things to the last half hour.
We'll be right back.

That's rope a little little too loud for the intro music.
But there you go, folks.
Ah, I I wasn't going to play the ad again.
But our co host, or are one of our new co host here on the full press radio network insisted, That's right.
He's Mr Ross Jackson Ross, how we doing this afternoon or this morning? I'm doing great.
I love nothing more than to hear myself, and you happily obliged me.
I know Dylan was in there getting in the way a little bit, but yeah, I enjoyed.
And I appreciate you doing that for me.
No, it's good to talk to you guys this morning.
Thanks so much for having me.
And of course, you know, we're thrilled to have you and Dillon joined the radio network where we're really putting together quite the crew for your Monday through Friday listening needs.
So we're hoping that we can obviously pulling a lot of great new fans because of that.
We're excited, Obviously, the have you on.
And of course, you know, you came highly recommended by my close Mr Mike debate and those Please tell the listeners out there that Mike is actually a real person because I get emails daily asking it Does Mike actually exist? Or is he just a photo on my SportsCastr dot com screen? I can I can confirm that, Mike is just the photo on your okay.
I got that backwards and backwards.
He is very much a rial person.
Mike, Mike and I go way back.
We both hosts over at the locked on podcast network with himself covering the Patriots, of course myself.
Covering the saints most closely.
And so Mike and I have done quite a bit of work over the past two years.
It's interesting because Mike and I, technically, you know the Saints and Patriots haven't played each other during the time to.
Or at least I was covering you.
It's where we recovering for the last podcast that work.
But we've talked to each other quite a bit because of all of the Brady Brees offseason business that had gone on over the course of the NFL season.
It's true we have had some great conversations and welcome Ross.
It's great to hear your voice, my friend.
Well, it is a thrill to hear your voice on full press airwaves right now s O that we share another yet another commonality and that's that's awesome.
Now, getting aside highly recommended.
But I didn't need to sell you too much.
You're your work and everything that you do sells itself, and we're thrilled to have you here.
And we have had some great conversations about Tom Brady.
The synergy between the two fan bases and the two franchises, Saints fans and Patriots fans kind of have a mutual enemy, uh, you know, had besides, in the commissioner's share, no all kidding aside, I mean, with all that's going on right now, I mean, we have had, you know, some opportunity to talk about, you know, the theme similarities between these two fan bases, and it has been great.
I look forward to continuing, you know, those conversations with you unlocked on.
But now we have another form to be able to bring it to a swell where we can broaden our horizons a little bit, talk about all of the world of professional sports.
And I can't think of a better steward to hand off the baton to in the afternoon hours, the drive time evening hours than you and Dylan, who put on a great show.
So Ian and I are gonna be fans were looking forward to it.
You know, you look atyou is the counterpart tow us in the morning and the evening.
Of course, people will be glad to listen to you.
They're glad to turn me in an off in the morning, but the bottom line is, it's ah, it's great stuff.
And we're thrilled to have you here, my friend.
I appreciate that.
Were very much looking forward to it.
and we're grateful to be able to join such an incredible team along with you guys and to sort of be that foil, even because for us, it's It's very much just about an opportunity because both of us cover football most closely in terms of what we're or the NFL.
Rather, in terms of what we're what we're writing on right now.
And where were, you know, currently putting in work with myself over at locked on and with Dylan over a whole nine sports.
And so we do a lot of NFL in college football coverage.
But we've been passionate about sports, period.
As you can tell, Dylan really loves ******** and Ping Pong.
But you know, our our our passion for it all really runs deep.
And for us, it's It's an opportunity to come together, have a little bit of fun.
Talk about the news and notes of the day, all throughout all of these all throughout the sports leagues.
Officially, as we get closer and closer to return to play for several different sports leagues, Aussie football starting up in just a couple of tomorrow.
We have so much more on the way with NB a now on the way MLB, looking like they might actually like the league, might actually listen to the players for a change.
So there's so much going on, and we're just grateful to be able to come in and, uh, and help what is already a fantastic network covering all of this.
And I have a little bit of fun while we do it.
You know, we picked the name Dylan Ross save sports because we wanted people to know that the name is about as serious as we take ourselves.
So we're really just around the have fun and give people the information that they need, but make sure that they get a laugh at a time.
To where? Maybe people are looking for laughs as well.
And they're actually gonna give people information.
I'm sitting down here taking notes like, Okay, give information.
Uh, you know, it's just think we'll start every day by letting people know what day of the week is eso by that you're already now? I wore a Sunday fun day shirt yesterday.
I thought I was right.
You know, it's funny that you bring that up because I often fumbled the days when we when we start because you think it's such a It's such a It's something that you would just know, But I I just I don't You know, I come up here and then I'm like, Oh, my God, I forgot to check what day it was that I'm already 90% into my intro.
So it's Ah, uh, Thursday, Wednesday. Wednesday.
And you know, of course, I don't ever change my calendar until a week into the new month.
So I'm kind of guests left just guessing.
And, uh, yeah, so we're gonna have to step, are plug step up our our game.
Like because, you know, we want people actually coming back in the morning, not just waiting until the afternoon, so no, you don't sell yourself short, My friend e, I hope in very high regard.
Of course, I'm contractually obligated to Seo in any case, Ross.
Now, it sounds great.
You and Dylan definitely.
Like I said, you guys put on a great show.
Um, I'm a fan of your work with locked on.
Without any question.
Ross, host one of the best podcast on locked on network across the network, and that's saying something.
We have some amazing amazing hosts and amazing shows, and we're doing some great things and so proud to be a part of that team so proud to be a part of this team.
You and I have been in this from the beginning.
Uh, these shows, this content and the type of environment that he's built here at full press is his ingenuity.
And it's his, you know, brainchild.
And I kid him all the time simply because it's an easy target and he's a great friend of mine.
I I love him like a brother and seriously, you know, it's it's great to be able to work for such great organizations like this.
And I'm so glad that you're here is well, you'll get a chance to see that.
You know, we're a pretty good, pretty good group, and we're all complete idiots.
So you guys are gonna have a chance to really shine very, very strongly here amongst the rubble.
Actually, they think our our legacy will fit right? Well, they thought it.
It's obviously one of the requirements here.
And look, when it comes to Mike, I have A.
I have a visual reminder of him each and every day because I don't know if it was a coincidence or not.
But the first gray hair that I ever got popped up around the time I started talking with Mike, so I don't have many, but there's a few of them that stick out.
What's nice? You did.
Did you name it? Mike? No, no, no, no.
There's there's two.
There's many of them right now.
No, no, that we'll save that for another time.
Another perhaps off the air.
But when? When people actually aren't listening to us.
But again, I mean, who knows? People may not be listened to us right now.
We're just talking for the sake of talking, because at the like you said at the end of day, we like to have fun, and we like to hear ourselves speak.
But no, in all seriousness, the great thing about doing something like this doing a live show where, like obviously we love talking football.
I mean, we can sit here and talk football all day, every day.
But you know, we're more than just people who talk football.
We can talk other things as well.
And of course, Mike and I tend to lean on on old wrestling.
Where do you stand on 24 year 24? Fan.
Um, I'm more of a classics fan, If that makes more sense.
I haven't really watched.
I haven't really watch pro wrestling.
Well, I'm saying that the show 24.
Yeah, we're gonna show.
Yeah, like the 24 7 title.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Yeah. I love 24 awesome.
No, you're you're good.
You could actually frosty cross.
Do you want to be my co host? Oh, yes, I forgot.
I forgot to mute uh, Mike's ah.
Yeah, we artificial intelligence over here has something to say about that e.
I don't know if until you know what, You know what? I've knocked on your enough, Mike.
I'll be nice the rest of the show.
No, I'm right there with you.
No, I probably won't know.
I'm right there with me.
I I tell I tell folks all the time Might Mike, my wrestling day to day watching ended in, like, 2000 for the show ever went to was WrestleMania 20.
And you know, after that, it was kind of, you know, here and there.
I'll watch I watch WrestleMania.
But, you know, again, the bulk of my wrestling knowledge come from the late.
Well, I know late eighties because I used to watch all the replays and stuff on his kid, but, you know, obviously the late eighties nineties and today way No.
The good stuff. Exactly.
Exactly the good stuff.
Okay, so exactly so.
And that looks great.
Because, you know, generally that's what fills our shows.
Each and every day is talk on 24 wrestling.
I mean, just just the the whole ah, library of wrestling theme songs at our disposal that, you know, week we could play it at any any given moment.
Mike, what do you want to hear right now? What are you feeling? What do you feel it? Oh, I don't know.
Put you on the flight.
You know, I think in this mood, because we're ushering in such an amazing new era here.
Who? You see radio.
We need a little pomp and cir***stance.
I think we need Oh, yeah.
Randy Sa***e to kind of bring your in, you know.
Okay, well, you know, I was going to say, if you want to just take the mic and just be Randy Sa***e the rest of the show, we could we could We could accommodate that.
I don't I don't mind doing that, Mike.
I'm gonna have I'm gonna have to make sure that you and Dylan share the mic sometime soon so that you can do Randy Sa***e And he could do is Coco Impression.
And you could just go for an hour like it's probably something that I don't want any.
Oh, yeah, Pop, you get the cir***stance.
I don't know what the pop is under no other cir***stances.
I know the music gets it.
Yeah, that's right.
You don't like It's funny because I actually thought I and I almost jumped the gun on this, and this would have had a very few times where our ah half brain was not on the same page.
But you were talking about new ah, an order.
And so I you know, I was thinking, you know, you were you were just gonna go straight and w o a new world order.
So I was getting ready to cue up the you know.
Ah, a little N w o.
But fortunately, Ah, eventually, you jumped right in and mentioned Sa***e that we're pretty happy about that.
So I think it had to go old school.
You had to bring up the legality of how was when he was the macho king and just the bravado were any sa***e? Yeah.
You gotta You gotta bring that up now.
So I gotta ask you, Ross, who screwed Bret? What was it, bread or was event.
It's because we had a little bit of a discussion the a day about this, and I tend to say screwed, Bret, But that's a good question.
Um, I'll go with Vince.
So I just think that Vince Vince was all about just trying to screw anybody that he could and also like her, get his players, get his, get his guys off the air as quickly as he could to get himself some more.
You on that screen time and everything.
These events is just like your classic madman bad guy and sort of put him in a situation like the situation that went down with With Brett.
It's hard not to look at him in this bad guy.
The situation, You know what I mean? He kind of set himself up for it, in a way.
Ross, See, the Canadian works once again.
You know, we agree.
I've gone on record yesterday by saying, I believe Vince did screw bread.
I also believe he had no other alternative but this group bread.
But he still screwed him nonetheless.
I mean, he could have just done nothing.
Uh, and I guess that's a choice in and of itself.
So yeah, I kind of do believe they've been spa have been screwed, Bret.
So? Well, well, I think I'm out between you two and Kyle, who was commenting in the chat room yesterday.
I think I'm outnumbered 3 to 1 here.
So it's really Yeah, that and and remember, is specifically with Kyle being idiot.
The Montreal screw job was huge.
Yeah, that's true.
And of course, that's something that, you know, happened literally in his backyard.
You know, this this manipulation during at what was that? WrestleMania Survivor series, right? Yeah, it was in 1970 seven.
Say that that steps. That's our wheelhouse.
late nineties early 2000.
So? So if we're out dating people by 20 years, which could be the case because it was over 20 years ago, we apologize.
It's just it's our strength and we're playing to it.
But see, see how great this works out is We're already off on a tangent, completely not doing what we we thought we were going to be talking about, because again, you open up the door to old school wrestling talk and you know, again the possibilities are endless, endless right.
There's no you're not starving for storylines when it comes to, you know, the the Golden Age of Wrestling.
You know, if it's not, if it's not something like Vince McMahon versus X y and Z plug in anybody you have, you know, the entire and I think incredibly unsorted of underrated and really undiscussed and mind into gold dust arc, which I think is one of the most interesting arcs in professional wrestling.
Yeah, you have the sting art.
You've got the NWS or like there's so much, man, there's so many different ways that you can you can access it, right? Yeah.
Goldust Was that thing that people forget how controversial and all around swell that when wrestlers were coming out and, you know, all of a sudden it was like, Wow, it was like, Oh, my God, really? I mean, this guy, What is he What? How do you make this? And then when you found out it was Dustin Rhodes, it was like, really I was really like, Wow, you know, I know you get started.
E Just I love that song.
I mean, how could you not? So Yeah.
And I that when I finally do get on camera, I'm gonna have to cut the hard times.
That'll be. That'll be good.
I gotta work on my dusty.
Dusty is not upto where it needs to be.
I want to make sure to nail that one.
That's arguably one of the greatest wrestling pro most of all times.
I call that off.
I'm doing my job.
Thing is, you have you have to hit the list without being over the top with it because, you know, you could use anyone could sit there and do a list.
But like, you know, you got it's got to be.
Don't want to say subtle, because it certainly was not subtle, but it he was just a master at it.
And of course you know the music.
That lets the subtlety to be unable to do a voice like that.
It's very much like Hyman Roth from The Godfather, where he's that catching of his breath.
Well, he's given that soliloquy TEM to Michael, and he's, you know, talking about Moe Greene.
And everybody kind of puts that voice cracking way too often.
He doesn't use it that often.
He uses it for dramatic effect, and it's just you got to get it down.
You gotta get the nuances down.
So I gotta study a little bit on Dusty, get the list down without over doing it without dishonoring the man's memories.
Oh, I've got my homework to do.
I know what I've got.
Yeah, I have ah, have a godfather.
Three story for you.
Very, very quick story.
Oh, if you're interested in hearing so Andy Garcia and Andy Garcia is actually a friend of mine.
He and I have worked together, and he and I have done a couple of shows together my other life is in live theater in Los Angeles.
And so we get a lot of weight due to do some work out here.
Ah, and he filled me in that the classic pistol whipping moment in Godfather three.
He actually hit him.
That that that full on reaction that he had.
When? When Pistol whipping.
Uh oh, gosh, I can't remember the name.
Well, anyway, what? Well, pistol whipping the gentleman.
The gentlemen's reaction is very genuine.
His reaction is very genuine because he actually pistol whipped that guy in that moment.
And that's the shot that they used in the film.
Because obviously, it was the most genuine and the most authentic because they actually pistol whipped.
That's amazing that really I've seen interviews with Andy, and I never knew that about you.
So that's great. That's that. Unbelievable.
I can't I can't tell you in private how many times I'm going to pick your brain on that day.
He's great. Yeah, okay.
It is actually a similar story that I heard I actually heard an interview with him about the steam from a scene where he bites the ear s Joey's as, um, and the prosthesis that was on his obviously.
I mean, you didn't really bite the guys here.
Then nobody's going.
A couple is not that sadistic, but prosthesis.
When he did bite the process thesis off, it actually took off a good chunk of Joe Montana's hair on the side of his head.
That was that was glued into the prosthesis.
I guess the makeup artists are, well, wide.
It didn't really do a great job.
And when he did that, it really did hurt Montana when he took that off and it took him a little while to what it get back to what a film, this scene again.
But the first take was actually what couple used it looked better than the second time around.
When they did it, it was a little bit more benign, and he had a little bit more of ah ah, candle reaction.
This was more genuine, so that doesn't surprise me at all.
But I didn't know that about pistol whipping.
I didn't know that.
It's see this will be interesting stuff to share on the shape it be my pot, which is also hosted year on FBC Radio with my good friend Thomas Murphy.
Ross knows murder very well.
Oh, yeah, My show.
He knows he knows the big green man who is my my weekly.
Ah, wisdom and council there.
Well, definitely we may have to have you on for Rather Godfather three chronicle.
My other good buddy on the other end.
Microphone right now is gonna help us with Godfather, too, So things could be something really good.
I like the way this is brewing together.
Uh, yeah, it certainly is coming together quite nicely.
And ah, you know, it's funny, you break, you bring up that scene with the pistol whip and I immediately think of and I think this is I think this is a fairly well known story.
I think anyone who, uh, you know, we we started the show talking about SN Oh, now how it sucks.
Well, back when it was actually good, there was a guy named Chris Farley on there, and they actually used to produce movies that were really funny and and actually worth going to see and one of them being ah, Tommy boy ends.
Uh, when he gets hit in the head with the two by four they missed the pre broken spot.
So he actually got hit with with a pretty solid chunk of that, you know, it was obviously pretty broken.
So it was supposed toe, you know, snap or whatever.
And I think David Spade just missed the spot.
So, like, that bruise on his face, much like the reaction, you know, from from the God.
But it was mostly riel.
I'm sure they did it up a little bit, but, um, yeah, he got walloped in the head with that.
And it does. Yeah.
You can imagine how much that hurt.
This is why I love radio, fellas.
We don't have to worry about that.
To sell anything.
Aside from our our knowledge, uncertain top.
We just have one coming, people.
Yeah, Lou, just have to convince people that we actually, you know, know what we're talking about.
What you know can be difficult sometimes, but, you know, to give you a glimpse into how my my head works, uh, I think two by four.
And I think, Yeah, I know it.
It just never It's never ending.
And the late, great Owen Hart, who really was one of the greatest rivers in, uh, history.
Ian knows this story.
I'm not sure if you heard this, but Bret Hart, when he was inducted into the W.
Hall of Fame, had a story about Jim Duggan and Owen Hart.
They were in Dayton, Ohio, and all the rest of us were coming in.
They were checking in, and I guess Jim Duggan's wife is from Dayton.
So he took her on this road trip, and Jim and his wife had obviously, they had their own room.
They were checking in, and Cohen was down checking in at the desk.
Jim and his wife are up there in the room.
So Jim dials down to the front desk, wants to know where the local Jimmy is, so you can go in and get a little workout going before the match that night.
Well, the guy at the front desk, I guess, was probably knew he didn't really know a whole lot.
And he goes because I have a Jim Duggan on the line and he says, I'm looking for the gym.
Anybody know where the gym is? So and you know, being the prankster that he is looks over and he's just give me the phone.
Give me the ****ing takes the phone.
So Oh, and picks up the phone.
But Jim doesn't know it's all in on the other line.
And he goes, Yes, I understand you're looking for the gym.
You go see how it goes always. You know, I'm so sick.
You wrestlers just, you know, not want everything cater to you.
Why don't you just look it up yourself, you lazy *******? And Jim's getting really, like angry with him on the other end of the phone is like, how dare you talk to me like that? And he's like, Yeah, what you gonna do about you? Want to come down? You want to come down and do something about it? I'm not afraid of you.
What do you think? Just because you're a big, bad wrestler, you're gonna come down.
The guy at the front desk is freaking out because he thinks Jim's gonna come down and fight and always just hands the phone back.
Teaching things up the phone really angrily is like upcoming down there right now.
Owen hands the phone back to him and the guys liquid economy like, Please, look, don't don't do this today and and, Oh, and said he really wanted to leave him there, But he was so scared, you could see, like it's like, you know, just completely devoid of all.
He believed Owen says he didn't have the heart to let this guy take that.
So he just sat there and the elevator doors open up.
Owen sitting and laughing hysterically.
And Jim Duggan looks at him and he says, Ah, man, you got me.
And And Owen did that to just about every wrestler.
So I love that when you mentioned yet when you mentioned Jim, Doug and I had to share that.
And And look at that.
We've had an entire uncredible great conversation about old school wrestling.
So I got one final question for you, Ross, before I'm gonna let you tell people out there where they can fall You all that stuff because we're obviously really ports.
Your show. So one more question.
Who is your favorite wrestler of all time? Oh, man, That's such a great question.
Um, I have personally, I think the guy that I connected with immediately and really tracked all throughout.
My viewing time was stink.
Okay, I really think.
And I remember there's some.
There's some things that I remember fondly the time that he took off a mask of himself to reveal himself one of the best deal that's out there.
Still one of my favorite moments ever.
Um, his his quick change over to, ah, to the n W. O.
And then also the change into the Wolfpack with the red and black sting as opposed to the white and black thing.
But I have to acknowledge one other guy because it's really split between two.
Um, it's sting for sure, But also Diamond Dallas page.
Okay, GDP The moment that he he looked like I'm such a mark, I'm such a mark like I'm the perfect viewer for because I get so emotionally invested.
So it was a perfect viewer at that time.
The moment that he was going, like, you know, looked like he was turning over to the n w o.
And and just, like, kick the crap out of Steve Nash and, uh, anyway instead, rather, it was I think it was actually more Scotty.
But It was an incredible moment than him in the stands with the fans surrounded everything and all the work that he's done for professional wrestlers after his wrestling career.
Just an incredible guy.
And so for me, it's really between those two.
Know that That's a great see.
That's a great answer, cause we we tend to talk more WWF and w w E whereas, you know, obviously that was obviously WCW, so that's a great perspective.
And and, of course, how can you not forget one of the greatest wrestling movies of all time that TDP was in, right? And I forgot it.
Ready to rumble.
Yeah, that's right.
I had to think about it.
What is it? Ah, David Arquette and, uh, of it, uh, Jack Black? No, no, it was not.
It was the spot of the blonde guy.
If you're an entourage fan, you kind of played that.
Like, um, counterparts E.
When he went to the big, uh, agency Got a blanket on Sean.
Sean? No, you think? Are you thinking Sean William Scott and no, not him, you know? Yeah, not him.
It was I don't know the actor saying but we'll have to look it up anyways.
Anyways, we'll have to pick up this discussion at another time because we're gonna have to wrap up the show here.
But before we let you go, Ross, let everyone out there.
No, where they can fall you.
