Sportscaster Teddy Solomon here with Down's insiders.
I want Thio go over the the schedule in the Pac 12 if you guys, uh, just came out now, as many of you guys now, I personally think that the Pac 12 is a fairly relatively weak conference.
They were pretty weak last year, and they're probably gonna be weaker this year.
Uh, one team that I think will improve significantly is Washington State under head coach Cal Smith.
I'm obviously, by its being Dawn's insiders Kyle Smith coming from USF.
But I do think they're bringing in some talented players.
But programs like Stanford losing aka Paula or Arizona State leads in the glens door on organ loosens employers.
It's gonna be tough for the conference day, even maintain what they did last season.
And, quite frankly, they didn't do much.
So let's go through this schedule Week of January 1st 5th the first week in conference play.
We got Arizona State at Arizona.
I think Arizona is gonna be one of the top teams in the conference.
Arizona State's been good the past two years, but I'm gonna go with Arizona to win that home game.
Uh, and then, Ah, the second game that we've got is Cal at Stanford.
I think Stanford's gonna be a really weak team this year.
You guys saw me talk about Stanford.
Cormack, Ryan transferring out, Paula obviously leaving the school.
Josh Sharma graduating.
I think they're gonna be a weak team.
How could take that game quite honestly, then we've got organ Organ State playing at Colorado and Utah.
That's of course, the pair in there.
I think that between those four teams, organ probably looking to be the best team on.
We'll see some interesting matchups there, especially interested to see organ against Utah.
I think that could be a tough matchup, especially being at Utah.
And then you see L.
In USC with the parent at Washington and against Washington State.
That's always a good one when you see those L.
Schools, which tend to have decent programs.
A had been struggling recently, but they could have a very decent program on a very decent team and playing at Washington that should be very interesting.
Not much to say about those parents, though.
I think those are all teams that are gonna finish, probably third Kate third to ninth in the conference.
I'd probably estimate, I think the big shocker team of the Pac 12 is going to be Washington State.
I think Washington State could very well finish in the top three in the conference.
That would be a big shock or do a lot of people, but I think they're really good team.
So then the next week we've got Arizona, Arizona State playing the organ schools.
We got us seaplane, U C L.
A Utah at Colorado and the Washington schools at Cal and Stanford.
So I'll talk about the Washington schools playing at Callen, Stanford.
I think those will be some blowout games.
I think Washington State's a much stronger team.
And when Callen, Stanford or preparing for these two teams, they gotta prepare for both of them this year.
I mean, of course, Washington State had the capability of beating Callen Stanford last year, but now Washington State is probably going to be callin Stanford this so they definitely have to prepare differently because those Washington schools are strong.
And then, ah, week of January 15th 19th CAllen Stanford, playing at the L A schools, they'll probably get destroyed in those columns.
Stanford are probably looking to be looking like they're gonna be bottom serene.
In my opinion, we got Colorado and Utah Arizona schools.
Not much to say about that.
Colorado and Utah pretty bland teams to me.
I think they're probably gonna be somewhere in the middle of the conference, middle toe, low area in the conference and then the organ schools at the Washington schools.
That's always good.
And especially this year, with Washington State being, I think, better than last year, I think that will be pretty interesting to see organ playing at Washington State.
See if Washington State can pick up some quality home wins and then, uh, we'll move to the next week.
We'll do this a bit quicker now.
Uh, what I think the highlight.
There is a Stanford at Cal.
I like the Bay Area matchup.
I think both teams they're gonna be around the bottom of the conference.
Uh, so in terms of being equally matched, that's definitely good matchup.
And then we've got Arizona at Arizona State.
That's always a That's always a classic.
Um, it's always a classic matchup, especially in recent years when those two have been knew the top of the conference.
Ah, and then we've got Ah, I'll pick out the next week.
What? What The top matchup is we got, We got, I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Arizona at Washington State being the best match up there because I like Washington State to be my break away team in conference s.
So I think that Arizona who I think Arizona is the favorite to win the conference.
Quite honestly, I think they got a lot of great freshmen coming in.
Uh, Nico Manion really is the one that stands out to me, but I think that will be a great matchup and then my prediction to win the conference.
I'm gonna go with Arizona.
That's my big prediction.
I think they'll win regular season and conference tournament.
I don't know that everyone is picking that, but I think that they really are the most talented team.
I think Stanford and Cal obviously are out of it.
They don't have a chance.
I think Oregon State doesn't have a chance.
I think Washington State's gonna be strong, but not strong enough to win the conference.
Obviously, just It's tough to make such a big jump in one year.
I don't think they have any chance that went in the conference.
Arizona State I think we'll take a hit because they lost loved ones.
Door really carried their team in terms of scoring.
And I think that teams like Utah and Colorado still, as I said, looking like pretty bland teams, and I think they'll be somewhere in the middle of the conference.
So that's a look out for you guys right now in the Pac 12.
Thanks for watching.
