So we will do that.
Twitter is also it's in the Twitter, um, area.
So let's go ahead and go of some news headlines up on the screen.
So we have everything in the screen.
So on the website of screen, So I will go over.
What's going on? Okay, um, I must say.
Okay, um, Bear bear bear wearing black lives Maris t shirts on bands before the ler LeBow's kun's skin class.
So this is what they're talking about.
This is from time, Hamilton, you can follow him at ESPN and ESPN dot com.
So they was wearing that black lives matter T shirt just up like that.
So I think what they're doing right now is sending a message across the world that black lives absolutely do matter before all lives, because that they could say all lives all they want, but it's doesn't make a difference.
So ah, once again, just from time.
This was in the, um, one of the upper Slater matches today.
So we'll give you Slater scores.
Um, as we follow us, we get him.
So let's pull this up, Okay? We just talked about some of the stuff from yesterday.
I'm gonna palazzo more information.
Um let's see, um, sources MBA left out Orlando mauling ways to keep players active in on a monster hiatus.
So this is from Brian Winners.
You can reach him at ESPN also, Adrian Wojnarowski.
Follow him at Wo Jo, ESPN does wo jo, ESPN.
So let's play this video.
So I will just reported that several teams left out of the Disney restart have proposed ideas regional, many summer leagues, training camps over the years, things like that.
What hurdles could be in their way? Only about 300.
You know, one of the things that is gonna have to be reminded all the teams and all the organizations, even the players, and I understand this, But the reason that they're not having in Orlando for safety Reese they're doing that to try to cut down on the people who are both and groups of large vehicle together.
That makes any conversation about then getting other teams together in another area.
Not to mention that you have to negotiate that players unions, which, by the way, is already having negotiated a dozen or more other issues.
Get this Orlando's been going, so I do think, you know the MBA does want to be something for these teams.
They don't want them to feel this advantage.
There's nor likely to still be in the cities where they have periods to Bill right now, the day.
Was there also worried about their upcoming draft picks? Remember, it was guys have played since March either.
And that's another topic, just us.
Now, I'm gonna be honest with you.
I think to be honest with you, I think the 22 teams is more more suitable.
Because if you would have had 30 teams, you would have had a lot of incidents and stuff like that and infections and stuff like that.
So So I think the 22 teams right now it's absolutely, um, respectful.
So once again, this is from Wo Jo.
You can follow him at Wo Jo ESPN.
Um, so let's move along.
We're gonna pull us up.
Okay, Let's go over some the Slager scores.
I'm going to go over the Spurs Lakers scores with you.
I'm gonna do that One second.
Let me get the bulls.
Get to the full school board screen.
I'm going to switch that over and one second.
Let me get my full school board up.
A full school board screen up in just a second.
Okay, um but Slater scores on from today.
I'm Munich on winning for two main.
Um, that's m a, um I m winning, um, to nothing.
And I'm tied up to between, um, Apple are and, um uh h o eps.
So that's Ah, but Slager action today also.
Let's see, um uh, bad wins over l E um, Ellie, I It was a 11 tie.
Also other games going on 11.
Don, don, you don't dina hand.
I'm saying it right.
It's some in German league play will play at 11. 30.
So also, um, puts two G's ah, legal will play it 3 15 today.
Also German, but Slager to, um So the scores are owned the screen.
So once again in the Australian bus llega it is, um ADM on top about Matt.
That's m a t their tune up.
So mats on top to nothin.
Also, w um sw eyes up one Nothin also.
Ah v I v is on top of sk n in the 65th minute.
That is one nothing.
So that is going on right now in the soccer, um, leagues right now in the bus llega.
So, um, this is the Greek Super League games going on as well.
But the Norwegian areas are post phone also on the Israeli, um, Premier League is going on today, so they will have their games.
Also a major league soccer.
Hopefully, majorly soccer will come back.
So, um so let's all move along, okay? We got everything off the screen and we will switch over.
Ah, once again, Amanda Nimes would take on police.
Um, Spencer tonight in the u UFC 2 50 that's a featherweight division.
So that's going to be tonight, um, on, um, ESPN plus.
This is from the undefeated Kevin Durant.
Stronger than ever.
So let's go ahead and show you this article.
Wait one second.
Let's say we can get it up.
I don't know why we can't get it up over the screen, so we got it up on the screen.
Okay? Kevin Durant's pull us down.
This is ah, newsletter.
Kevin Durant's black pride.
Um, stronger than ever.
This is our culture, So he's absolutely correct.
This is for Mark and Jay.
Um, Marcus Marquet Spears.
You can reach him at ESPN.
Eso um, Kevin Durant discusses the, uh, what's going on right now in the, uh, country with the protests and stuff like that.
So um, so he says black pride is stronger than ever.
So I think I agree with him.
It should be, ah, stronger, because luck, um, black lives do matter before anybody's.
So I don't want you to get mad at me, but it's the truth.
So So, once again, this is from on the undefeated and go to the undefeated that's on ESPN.
Okay, let's see what else will talk about here on our ESPN before we switch out.
Well, don't fall.
So okay, the also on the race.
Also, a serious is on right now, so please give him your patron.
This is, um, Marcia Taylor delivering a strong message to breeze on me.
Put this up on the screen.
Lets you hear it s some half Paul's 86.
Thanks for joining us.
We appreciate you coming in.
I don't know about it, but I know what you're e.
I don't believe that you have to be trolled and dragged through twitter and instagram and awarded to change your mind and realize that what you said was intolerant and or could be considered insensitive later if you had been educated and forced to confront the issues.
And, like I said, have empathy in your heart.
Then you would have known The black experience is not easy, especially when 70% of your league is African American.
And either the conversation that she should have had.
So maybe it's not not his whole heart sad.
But something about empathy was off.
If the first thing the first thing out of his now with its disrespect, I will not tolerate anything that is disrespectful.
Teoh our nation and the flag That was the first thing Now, if you would have pain on, said if he would have said, Oh, well, you know, I understand why it happens and I understand the meaning of protests and why we need it, however, X y Z but that's not the way we've been down in that conversation.
And it wasn't a quote in a magazine, wasn't quote in a newspaper, and I'm exhausted, and I'm tired of having to listen to someone say something like that and then have to step back and, well, maybe he did it.
Maybe it's not his heart, and it's this, and it's that when you reveal yourself to me and you say something like that and you say it out of an intolerant mind and or heart or not empathetic heart.
And for the last five years, always done is the countless deaths in the street.
My patients left my body when I watched George Boy take his last breath.
So if that didn't affect you and making one reassessed the way that you're gonna address the question that includes racial injustice in our country after you watch that me and die in the middle of the street, something off, I don't know if it's your heart.
I don't know if it's their minds, but I don't accept either of them anymore.
I will not tolerate it anymore, what she's saying, um, which is absolutely saying it's 100% true.
Look, you've got to understand, look, sore social media is going to drag you through the mud.
That's that's the, um, um, son.
What the truth of the matter is, he said, what he said, and that's it.
The damage is done.
He should have kept his mouth shut and and roll with the punches, but he wanted to run his mouth and and get it because your mouth will get you in trouble half of the time.
So once again, this is from ESPN.
You go to ESPN dot com.
Okay, lets bullets up.
Um um, Mos might have one CB a negotiations, but some players damage is done as airy place a ble era patch Trouble.
So So that's what they're saying. Yep.
Um, Carlao is the writer, So once again, please give him, um It's a good article.
Please give them a patron.
It's so that is what they're saying in this article.
So, um, what's the concessions closed? 7.
5 percent salary cut for the rest of the season.
So that's what they're talking about in this article.
Um, we go back to 2015 Gap.
That's absolutely something.
So we're showing this article right on the screen.
So once again, this is from ESPN.
You go to ESPN dot com.
Let's move along to another article.
I'm gonna pull us down.
Okay? We're going to go to local sports news here in D on New Orleans area with Tom Ah, Crescent City Sports. That is cross.
The city supports crested.
The sports also talks about nuance area sports locally here in the local billing.
Okay, um, local groups taking the return.
Meier link baseball to New Orleans.
I think it should happen because look, since the A New Orleans baby cakes left on New Orleans is without a minor league baseball team, so hopefully in the near future, they will return a minor league team.
So it's some I spent 27 years on the suppers.
Came here in 1993 the state they Then they moved over toe the stadium, destroying on airline.
It's, um so but there, Like I said, I hope Willie minor league baseball does make us preempt that return here in New Orleans.
So, um, I think it's very Ah, we owe it to the fans here in the city that once baseball here show we're not going to get a major league baseball team.
That's not gonna happen.
So a minor league team would be a better will be the best solution because, look, New Orleans is a small market, and that's one thing about it.
They're not big, like New York City and stuff like that.
So I think, to be honest with you, I think if we can get us, um, a small market team low like a seven league team, stuff like that. That's what they want.
I mean, the PC always here for years, Peace help in here from almost I could say, um, towards the young at the, um, turn of the 21st century.
But the truth of the matter is, we need tohave baseball here.
Sure, you could drive on our, um, our down.
I tend our galaxy and go watch the game over there.
But it's nothing like here in the New Orleans area.
So ah, once again, um, on it, Wilco's one of the, um, person that's going to lead the charge to get this team here to the New Orleans area.
Because, look, if you can get a Southern League team here, that would be a good matchup between Biloxi and Pensacola.
Because Biloxi is about an hour from here also.
It's about maybe four for 45 hour drive down I 10.
So I think it would be Ah, good fit.
Pretty um, buddy, the Gulf Coast Reason here.
So, once again, this is from on.
I know a dot com.
Go to nola dot com.
Lending 1,000,000,000 Gilgit is Thea, um, writer of this article, please give him your patron.
It's ah, and so described to him.
Let's go over to this one, okay? This is when Ken, trey, hand can tray and, um um, talked about there's now 17 teams involved to guidelines.
Ah, whip progress without, um eso.
That's the face to guidelines.
Um, with progress without Orleans Parish show.
Like I said, they're going to be 17 teams.
That's gonna be in a lot of trouble.
What? The Louisiana High School Athletic Associates.
And so they're gonna have to come up and fess up what's going on with their practices, because what? They had rules in place.
You cannot practice until June 8, but they kind of, um, jumped the gun.
That's one thing they did.
They absolutely jumped the gun and and they're in serious trouble with the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
So I'll be honest, which I hope they dio come out and best up.
I know they're going to get, um ah, one year ban from postseason and stuff like that.
But the truth of the matter is, look, when you have rules like that, you've got to follow him got there by by him as Noah eps and ah buts about it.
So let's go ahead and play this video.
This is from Eddie Eddie Boehner.
Um, it was a bus guy on principle. Play it.
It's about obviously the journey date was set up so that everybody started the same time being the same level playing field in terms of sort of activities.
The mayor of New Orleans that big weren't ready to go toe paints, too.
Uh, this is wondering the impact.
Maybe on those new early in schools.
And also was there maybe any kind of thought our discussion about Let's see if the mayor was saying like we would go, We're ready to go next about made it back in the data in the eighth to the next week so that everybody and that's a good way didn't have that conversation with committee day.
I let that discussion once we decided that a vote was taken for the June 18 year, they start some.
The consensus is we're not changing everything for one particular region in the state.
Uh, New Orleans was under a different kind of order earlier than anybody else to stay because of the day.
Doesn't make a right.
It doesn't make gone.
But I'm working to try work for majority.
The mayor made the choice she made.
I trust through the su****ions, and I trust their leadership in that regard.
Arrest status has moved in the face to which is static groups of 25.
And when I open that they could catch up, if you will.
Truly, I didn't read anything.
Maybe for the record, you know, Does she say isn't for another 14 days of 50 names of this you give? Yeah.
She just said they weren't ready.
Stoneware her our advisor about that.
I think it's said she thought you were comfortable in in two or three weeks, but they didn't get any specific date.
And I read anything Sweets of my 50 switch script on you and Kanan and whoever's with them.
But, you know, there was a rumor got back to me, and I just were closed group by here.
Was there something that stated that there would be no contact sports in a lot of release pressure? So there was a vaccination.
Did you hear anything about that? I have a dirt.
Not not specific It's been talked about, but that's not been stated publicly.
Okay, could I get that opens up another old conversation? Every move for specifically your question.
How will form? But the unanswered question has been There will be no accommodations to eggs today.
Everybody's gonna open up the forties.
Fresh Champ can.
If they can't, they can't but know that.
But we have submitted to all of you and others is recommendation.
Those recommendations from the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee of the National Federation, which encompasses over 300 doctors and on athletic trainers nationwide as well as our sports medicine advisory committee, is chaired by Dr Greg Stewart to lay in order to do so.
But we're giving you his recommendations.
They're not mandates.
Um, I had a question Day coaches air football coaches were having indigestion that the app things have to wear masks in the way, but the group's prostatic with 25 didn't know where mass.
You don't want to me ESA decision.
You have to make within your own school your own school marriage district, and if you will be aware of, if you don't, you know temperature checks all the stuff.
We've recommended our recommendations by medical personnel as you looking for a minute ago.
The mayor is using a medical adviser.
These are on medical people have done this.
I've empowered our coaches association and others here to get a deal with Attic office called Dr Stewart and Coach Different sports on what it looks like, what you do.
That do***ent is 99% living and breathing with what Federation recommendation work as lows walking Maher Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, which encompasses docks and 80 a certified trainers.
Would you want to get that answer? But it was one that we're gonna continue on, and I'm hoping that they could come up underneath that water sooner than later.
But it's early, nitty Right now again, I stated, That's got doing the name and June that have fetched you long.
I had an honest will brand.
We could okay may, but I also know participating potentially we'll see what the residual effect up Memorial Day weekend may or may not have across our state.
Let's get past that and guess what we got come Or the July it's getting past that I don't We we get into base three, which gives us more people could be together and decide what we're gonna do is before now.
The New York schools can start when they were just ethical by, uh, phase one by lines as opposed to base, too.
And yes, they would be in phase one.
But now, in phase one and us pulling back and letting someone will start the coach to play oration was one before in football, we just wonderful.
Now it's to grab co two coaches, eight athletes.
So you are in that position where now, if this group is 25 But you have been New Orleans is to with would be in groups of 10 which is the order from Jurgen Mayer.
So there, someplace outside of the school school school, lock down outside the school in a park.
So I'm gonna say this What? Ah, look at that.
And all these Paris.
Look, I they taken on that saying, if, um if they can, if they don't want to wear a mask, that's no, that's on them.
So they'll have to have some temperature checked that some recommendations body the medical staff.
So that's one thing about it.
So right now we are in phase two of the of the rial reopen of the state of Louisiana.
Um, this could lose the city of New Orleans right here.
So it could be, um, a domino effect That could happen.
So I'll be honest with you.
Are the 17 schools what they did on? They're gonna have to up.
Like I said, they're gonna have toe, um, confessed there on what they did.
I mean, I know it's just some they got.
Like I said, they have video evidence, and also they have photos, and I'm gonna tell you photos do not lie and videos do not lie.
So, um, once again, I will listen to what, um Ah, the LHs a had to say about the during their arms own press conference.
So let me go ahead and get this.
So we'll, um, listen to and I'll come back in and now give my opinions on it.
You can see 10 years in your situation.
So you're still based one off? What are do***ent says? Yes, I spoke.
This approach is at the time the decision was made to go with Junaid than sentences were contentious.
Waas that they thought it was a good idea.
Eight extra time to learn about.
You know, the sanitation that is they don't like kind of stuff that they felt that it was gonna be more stuff that was coming across about how they could do the same.
Untie that kind of stuff.
Since that time.
What kind of stuff maybe has come up? What are the kind of things maybe then will probably be doing in terms of dealing with that one negative comment that Mr Boehner, we're not ready.
Thank you for doing that.
We got more thank you's to go, that giving us all an opportunity and we're gonna let the annals of all together, if you will, I wish forward we're putting on the H.
But it's nothing for the most part of temperature checks sanitization if you're inside of doing outside of building. Dr.
Walton made that very clear for us with what would be a Brazilian Louisiana planets love and that part about the reopening schools because we're still dealing with summer school in some specific parishes transportation on.
I think the bigger issue us being a an education based association.
What's what's gonna be the call our school woman.
And with the new state school superintendent in place now what Stock brothers approach, they're gonna be this skateboard on.
The consistency is her consistency.
Is there going to be left up with 64 barristers and after opening days, Who's prepared is not prepared all of dialogue and common perception that between now you get into July hoping we get through these paces and then we can open up schools.
But conversation that I've heard have been more about platooning not opening up full capacity transportation is gonna be a comfortable when it comes to trying to get school step.
You're talking K through 12 little people, the elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and some of those routes you share all of those age groups to get into campuses.
So glad about a school district personnel, transportation director or assistant superintendent assigned oversee transportation because that's really gonna be a bug of a weapon for a lot of a lot of the parishes. Pacific.
You're gonna have to check temperatures have 60 seats.
Buchberger Thomas bus now is basically that 20 people on a staggered I mean buses.
You're gonna have to run and all that kind of stuff.
There was a lot of issues that have that full restructuring possible.
What's the What's the latest that you want to say publicly about the investigating of the schools that may have violated things where we have with that right now? What would you say to that at this particular point in time? You're and the bottom line is today I was given.
Give it a because we're that chart water should be regards to taken actions for something.
We set out and extend the school year because we moved the Judy start for summer, basically extending the school year of what you could do out of season.
So that was the one I can use.
The one before the coach ratio.
What's the issue way? We received notification that a specific schools schools were not adhering to the one that forward.
There was a group of athletes and schools they were out in part of the state is not of the campuses high class video or pictures before almost city.
But I have to look, I want to see myself.
What's for you? Provide me that then all since about that said Off the 17 schools be out now that were alleged.
I have video on four off the video.
We're still making determination.
Was their coach their know who did it? I know.
Post sugar Ready? Okay, hot.
You're called and I have a do not disturb on it. Takes you away.
So maybe back one part in two year, just like before that we're talking about 17 alleged four on video and you say that's when he got it at 17.
Reports that people were doing something we're supposed to do.
Our response was, Thank you.
You have if you have pictures of this tribunal.
So you know his dark job at that point to sit investigator out.
You said investigators out to to 77 site.
Like I said, those videos could be substantial.
Anybody could make those videos at any time.
Anybody, I mean, they I mean book.
I could go make a video about it, and I could go report it to the LHs. A.
That's something like that about It's got to be substantial evidence that these are 17 schools was in violation off that June 8 rule.
So that's something right there.
What? Uh, Eddie Bonin is tryingto discuss with the our media.
Um, so I be honest with you, the 17 schools, if they do find out guess what? They're gonna be in a line of hot water.
So, um, so right now, like I said, I'm a key saying that I'm a keep putting this point down.
You have toe have substantial evidence, and it doesn't lie.
I mean, sometimes you might get someone that's going to go into them schools or go into those areas Filmon on those coaches.
Auto, some stop, um, doing something they're not supposed to be doing before the June a deadline.
So once again, I will go ahead and play the, um well, place, um, or the clip.
So this is the 19 minute clip.
So we will be playing this.
So let me get that Switzer over, Okay? What? We did that Me.
We investigated weeks, which was a Lafayette area.
There was no violation with, um, you area.
That's where we had four, actually, three of the ordinary in one and outside of the Orleans area.
But we have video evidence now.
What we're sorting out was there a coach there Or was it just kids? Was the visit of public school? Because the camp is supposed to call home the jump up? It's to get into working with a private schools within campus of work clothes.
There was kids in the way room was one kid for coaches, which is allowed with that campus open.
And was there more kids in the just one of the coach we're still sorting are short our way through that.
So what? I got directions, get back to place.
What I got direction and cool today is that if we have solid evidence that we can make a determination that yes, it was coach generated when there and there was a violation of operational one opposition that I could take action, almost schools by buying for sanctions and also take action on the coach and where Oregon and then reboard Mason Determination may indeed out of Ireland.
I speak because I have this.
I wanted to coordinate this one o'clock with you. All of that.
You know, you, Chuck, the date where you were standing was six or seven different ones.
I want to get one Massive.
Obviously you can.
You can hit the keyboarding and do what you need to do at your earliest convenience and make it s so I don't know, something with 24 48 hours.
No, let's just say is now our summer hours, a week for a month.
So what we're gonna get, get however many attended, the baby also has a bigger schools.
Memberships only hurt, and you way through those way is because of it.
So we're still pending approval for that.
When we are having a June 24th meeting.
Get back and we are gonna take to do that in person.
That will be a potentially enclosed public meeting.
Only because you better building.
We're gonna extend that rectangle for the board almost all the way to be in a store or social business.
We're gonna be we need to do.
And I know the staff was plea is 25 but we are all business and Ramones 500.
So we're going to try to work to see how many people you get in there.
But when they will discuss that point, uh, notification, they need the other ignition of those schools.
If they're going to be buying, we're gonna be sanctioned.
And if that one will have a chance to repeal of that and with regard to there's one, there may be one school involved at this point that I'm aware that's already admitted, that they may have violated something and they fixed it and moved on.
And I'm sure we know who we're talking about in that regard.
So with that in mind, is there a different Christ point there in terms of how did you deal with somebody that immediately said, Yeah, we we did something will fix it right away And I think I did you exclude yourself? Reported So if you've ever seen are sanctioned, form it as list of diesel boxes self reported reported by someone other than the association are reported by the association.
These were reported by the association.
That is one factor I take due consideration.
Report says that here's the deal is what we did.
What does it do to ask somebody to tell him this stuff? Still nail.
OK, so I do used especially kind of sense when it comes sanctions.
But I didn't sit out of communication that missed all the potential.
I have no intention of this point and throwing the book at anybody but the end of the day.
But I say we're going to find Meier said, is gonna be, think sanctions.
I mean it some there, some to the chagrin of saying We never do anything.
I don't know what they've been falling.
But if you see what we get in the last year, regard by into sanctions were hearing to wear pushing our Constitution, which charge? So if there's one school yes, we are in agreement that move.
They're not been notified of the sanctions disclosure, but they will be on then.
At that point, everybody at least three above phone app, abilities or for appeal.
And if I receive anything else, the meeting, what else has been alleged that into concrete? I was send our investigator out to get their own evidence, associate themselves and move on.
But I do know that there's schools not just put up with that baseball softball.
And there's a very, very large wrestling events take place to, you know, go back to your media.
War was area at a local school down there breast June 11 through 14 eso we stopped way to see.
But I know that in the summer rules, Malatesta has very, very, very limited authorization.
And he becomes the schools issue and or the school's responsibility to do what they want to do in regards to what we've provided for re opening the guidelines.
Recommendations? What, they're allowed or not.
You locked up there again? Oh, yeah.
You mean it? Yeah.
That was a coal company. Yeah.
Bob Federal says she can't get on resume interview.
We use a different system, and Brandon can download the software.
I I don't like this.
I can't think there, but you don't know what a way to permit because it was a text.
Okay, but OK, yes.
And that is an answer.
The last question didn't hear Revere were good.
I think we're good.
One other quick questioning of the 17.
That number have they all been notified by you or by the L.
A s a l black that tail until I have some concrete evidence? Because I want Anika Stretch and the only people that know of the remaining 15 14 or 15 on the exactly committee which I notified today and told them what I'm telling you right now that we're not chasing every anonymous mean when attacked, the school man will check that school.
We did have an alumni attorney.
The school provided pictures and video.
You just I'm calling you a liar.
But if you see that, we're gonna go out chicken our stuff.
So they did not want to just react any email or anonymous tip that I got that something's going on.
This is a few weeks ago you sent out one of those memos.
Please don't put me or the association in a position of having I just got general comment about, you know, zero years and it took you in a position of having to deal with Well, you speak about this.
Well, let me say this.
What? What on the LHs? A commissioner say the same, But please don't put him in there because he's not gonna answer any anonymous, um, e mail attacks.
Ah, they have, Like I said a few minutes ago, they have toe have substantial evidence that the violation occurred.
Um, that that's absolutely I know it's concrete, but it's the truth.
You gotta have those substantial evidence.
I mean, The truth is, what if they did do this again? The LHs a will sanction them.
Um, so that's one thing about it.
I'm not trying to speculate.
I just hope all of our media outlets and not speculating this some situation going on with the LHs A, um, what the 17 schools involved.
So that's just some speculation and stuff like that.
So, once again, this is from Crescent City sports.
You go to Crescent City sports.
Um, conference call with the commissioner, Eddie Bo 09 So, um, so it was a nice little, um, conference calls.
So once again, um, this is from my question.
City sports will move along with our sports headlines here today, or non sports talk, and I'm gonna move along.
Let's, um, hit this one right here, okay? Daniel Cabrera could be the latest first round draft pick from Metro in the Wallens.
Yes, I think he's gonna most likely being, um, first round.
I think it's gonna be probably between eat a non attempt pick.
Overall, this is from Rich Cellini.
You could follow Selene, I you to follow him at Crescent City sports.
He's also saw um So the draft will be this coming Wednesday and Thursday.
We will have coverage.
He on SportsCastr.
I will, um, go through the, um, picks.
So I think, to be honest with you, it Daniel Cabrera goes into the first round.
I think it's most likely going to be at the start.
Are probably at the latter part of the first round.
Ah, that, um, Daniel Khobar will be on selected.
It's going to be in the first round are folks.
So I'm These were ones were first round picks on 1971.
He played with such a 90 rides in the California Angels.
Um, also this another pick, Frank Willis.
He also played a de LaSalle high school.
He played with the he was a two lane, um punter.
He also played baseball, Hit a to 81 e. R. A.
In 10.5 strikeouts per game.
Also, Will Clark, back in 1985 years from the New Orleans area.
He played a Jesuit high school.
I will Clark, um, Jason fits Joe. And 1997.
He played that whole We cross high school.
Um, he also had a scholarship to two lane So he hit 3 87 That was back in 1997.
That was one of the first round pick.
So, Jason, a Jeff Winchester.
Um, in 1998 with the Colorado Rockies, I wore the rubble uniform they played at Roma High School.
No, um, played at Salmaniya. Slidell.
Ah, you also played with L s U um, Thomas Domine.
Um, in 2004 with the Texas Rangers.
Play what? Rumble.
Um, you also had a c looking at it some Ah, he played, um, 52 games.
He had 26 quality at a 64 rocket.
He played with the U N o Privateer.
So Thomas on Diamond back in 2004.
Bo Jones with the Atlanta Braves.
Ah, he was at the Times Picayune.
I'm Lord School Player of the year.
He played with Destrehan High School.
That's if you're not familiar with Dustin hair in high school.
Yes, Trahan High School is in sight.
That's Ah, few a few miles from my house here where I'm at.
So that's a few miles away.
Um, um, he had 11 3 record.
Hey, had a 103 e r a.
So that wasn't too bad.
So, Rick, Um uh, sir, um ah.
So high s s See you.
I c c h i u could follow him at.
Ah, he's also a metro New Orleans.
Ah, he's with the Metro knowing throughout baseball database.
Please follow him.
Give you give him, um, follow.
So he's a pretty good a story, and I'll trust him any time.
So across the city sports.
Okay, let's see what also talk about here.
Tim Duncan, this it came out, um, on the four.
Tim Duncan speaks candidly.
Um, how will experience about race and police? Um, relations.
Jim Duncan talked about it.
So, uh, hey, see, uh, you know our athletic director, University of New Orleans here in the city.
So he talked about the race relations and police. Let's go ahead.
Play this video for you.
This is a body 18 million video already made.
His mark in New Orleans is the athletic director, the university, the woman's work.
Michael goes to all these games all the time and praise with the team at such on a regular basis.
Of course, I have a rich history of university.
The woman's and loved it loved all my years there.
Jeff Duncan is with us now and looking to make a difference on and off the court, and we'll talk about that with it.
It's always a pleasure to welcome to the show.
Great to be here, man.
How are you? Uh, you know, is good as could be expected, given the strange times we find ourselves in across the bear on my dad.
So these are strange times, and I know before we talk about, you know, before we talk about your experience and what's transpired over the past week and your own unique experience, I know, e I know your background.
I think you're a man of faith as well.
And I know you have a brother that's that way.
And you heard my opening monologue.
I think it's so important to not only lead on that, but to live it every day.
It's a love one.
You know, it's hard to do sometimes with people.
But if it's has got to be our goal, to do that right to try to understand people and respect people rather than hit on it, absolutely.
It is difficulties day.
I think the last week has shown just how far will you go? We'll come with Jim.
I I actually didn't get to meet you until the first time I was with with Mark.
And we were Sports foundation meeting, right for the end of the year there.
But I gotta tell you, way went to our first game this year.
Your fingerprints are all over that place.
You brought a new a new system of excellence and shows who you are.
And so that's why I want to hear what you have to say.
I just pray blessing upon you, and I just I know the Lord.
The Lord has his hand in all of this.
You're not here by accident at a time like this to speak the word.
I just want you to know we appreciate you doing this with us tonight.
Second month operation.
I am happy to be here.
There were several jobs open during the time that impressive Northern came opening.
I wanted this one that I'm complete.
I like like you.
I think that I'm here for a reason and gender.
I will be able to carry out that assignment in the appropriate patches that little wants me to.
But I'm excited to be here.
I think we have a lot of potential, and we just want to get people back out.
I think they will.
On I am confident that we'll get more than back on the lakefront, Similar to what we have back when I played here in 1989.
The happened there.
And I know that we could be Yeah.
Jim on the show last night, Horses being inducted into the Allstate suitable granted a woman Sports Hall of Fame.
And of course, he he loved was loved, you know, to this day about some of the times that he enjoyed and how much he cares about the university and continues to care about it.
And those were great times having been.
Part of it is I was at that time.
Okay, guys, So you can have your allergist kids.
I When I was going to, you know, we went to the Chamber of Horrors.
Yeah, I hear you.
They still use it for volleyball, among other things.
So I know it's It was great. That was fun, though.
It was great place.
You've got nobody, but we haven't even or even lower together here.
You got killed is good, but, uh, we are happy.
We just got a floor reading and have a nice, beautiful loco.
And in accord over there that you would love We re finished all the floors and logo on the court there.
So I hope you guys like it awesome.
I will appreciate it.
And I will take you up on that, too, because you got much you know, people here are Son just graduated this past year with his masters from you Atone.
He's now doing extremely well as an archaeologist way have so many deep ties to the university and its tremendous for our community, and carries the name of our city as well.
Chan with the activities of what transpired in Minneapolis with what happened in Atlanta.
The problems in our country manifest themselves once again.
And I think everyone has to be honest with his or herself about who they are, where we are and what can be done.
It's not a matter of of shame.
It's not a matter of anything.
It's not a matter of failing.
It's a matter of looking at yourself in the mirror and understanding who are who you are, what you've done and what you can do and what's happened in the past again.
For those of us that faith, we understand that it doesn't matter what you did yesterday.
What matters is what you do now.
Go and sin no more, understand, learn, discern and then treat people properly.
Make still along with.
We still got a long way to go, don't you? Yeah, we do have a long way to go.
I think what people need to do is put there Selves in other people's shoes and not try.
Make judgments based on our own limited purview and just accept people for who they are and what they bento way.
Definitely not, at least to the Americas.
Uh, and in the far how the perceptions are with African Americans and staying with non African American, the other mind already have their own perspective.
Well, but I'm there.
We have serious underlying problems that you don't we have to get better at for us, you know, have the type of country that we all know that we can have for sure.
You know, Jim, when I when I saw your video, having met you briefly and know who you are and what your heart is for our community here I had one of those experiences.
It's one way one thing to see something from afar.
But when you see someone you know and I was reminded of the scripture is the Moses story there? And of course, the the King was going to kill all all the boy babies.
And then it was one floating in the in the in the river there, and his daughter automatically sees the face of that baby and no longer did for the other things import which connected with that one she she knew and she felt something there. And there was something to me.
They're connected when you begin to speak from your heart there because it that you didn't have to do that.
But the courage there, the thing that motivated you night and when I when I watched it, I just you know, I got more out of than I expected cause I saw your heart and it was like I was saying about healthy.
You know, I just I just I don't know the courage here.
And I just want to speak faith to your blessing.
Keep speaking the word, man.
Keep speaking the work.
Well, thank you very much.
I appreciate it.
Um, but the video will help our studio, actually, um, bright with Captain America student, actually.
So they can know that, you know, challenges that their uncles, parents, friends relatives may have had with police aren't just limited to the limited to them.
And then for our non Afghanistan actually told those who come from maybe a different background, Um that, Yeah, it's things like this don't just happen to a criminal element or know what you know, Some people able, um you know, I'm walking down one of the baby in a beautiful neighborhood right out out of Boston with my family to move them down here a couple of weeks ago and was stopped surrounded by cops.
And I'm walking with my wife on an afternoon in the neighborhood.
Were walking the whole food and, you know, they don't just put so clued up anywhere.
My theory has been in between trader does in the whole thing.
They're not in all the Boston area you're not 5 10 either.
And I'm not 5 10 Um, it would do nothing to know that you know that can happen to me.
You can have gone with anyone.
So don't just be don't allow your perceptions to think that is just the criminal element who can be stopped and have a gun put on in the Broadway right? So they definitely received messages have been a little bit overwhelming.
How much picked up, you know, here, Locally, back in Boston, back in news in Memphis, my own down in North Carolina, where I used to live.
I've gotten calls from friends from former donors from reporters from all of those areas.
It is the method has picked of this often.
Conference 80 meeting yesterday.
Our commissioners let off the meeting and talked about the video.
It called and, you know, offer is there's thoughts with me for this time.
So people is resonating with people, I think because I'm a regular guy, you know, I'm not on.
Start driving a fancy car.
There would be nice, but I'm not.
And then I'm not someone on the edges of you.
know the criminal element as well.
I'm just a regular guy that has a wife with multiple with a lot of kids.
It seems like they have the job goto work to try to help us to happen every day.
So I think that's why the message resonated.
And I'm happy that it is so you can help us open.
People died and it was the whole works as a dad.
How did you talk to your boys about this week? Um, I what do I have that my weapon at Tucson Dentist Art.
And soon as we got home from that incident, we told them that, um, you know, we were stopped by the car.
They so beautiful my hands on ahead.
And my wife didn't consistently saying, You know what? Your dad told you guys to put his hands on the day and then and told him to go in his going to talk about giving water.
And after officer close with him going while it.
And that was and I told them, because you know what? Your other people have gotten shot and and feel because they made that movement when the gun was I didn't want to make any movement, and that was part of the top that I had given them before.
And part of the talk that my parents that given me, it's almost like, sure, you know, African American folklore that you talk about how to protect your life in these incidents, and it's still not guarantee that we've seen, You know, a man who was due and had a neck on the throat for eight minutes and 46 seconds still died after he was to do so.
It doesn't necessarily mean it, but it gives you the best chance to stay alive.
And that's what I want for my kids.
And that's what I want for.
You know, everyone busy with Tim Duncan at the University of New Orleans, and I don't know what words you can use to describe it.
I haven't been there, done that, so there's no way I can possibly pretend to understand.
But I would imagine humiliating, Scary, Yeah, frustrating.
I mean, I'm just trying toe put myself in their shoes and trying to understand it and why.
So they're looking for a suspect that is described as being African American and tall So they stop you and pulled a gun on.
Right? Right, Right, right.
Do you know what I'm had a little bit of those Muslims.
Because, you know that happens in our community.
And I recounted stories from my friends and family.
So what else? Most one is that it didn't hit me up with happen.
I normalized that situation.
That would be normally even when Jewish boy was killed.
I was ****ed off at that situation, but still didn't relate it back to my own.
So one of my friends that you know that indefinitely, it could have been why, you know.
So it is not about the new competing again, unloved, living there at the great down.
They thought they did what they thought they job.
But the man of the people police to the civil rights off.
If they have a civil rights officer with please without, never even heard of.
So I talked to them and they are still protected.
I told them that I have to be a better way to do that.
Could they have this road down? Hey, we're looking forward.
You know, someone you know? Where do you live? Do you know anyone around here? And you know you have.
Have you seen the device is serious and then pick up the cues from there.
You know, I guess they followed the murderer that they should be costing.
And I want them to be costed after losing.
But I don't want to go and put in my face as well just because I'm coming back.
And then I asked him specifically as a work of age 68 they had a falling.
You know, when you're 535 kids.
So I mean his relatives, it has to be a better description.
Busy, right? It has to be done frequently.
A diet to some people, so I just want them toe.
You know, if the disk factor needs to take better notes to come up with a better description, whatever have you it needs to happen.
So, you know, the boats won't be stopped and, you know, threatened with guns.
Do they have power drives to you too? Yeah, they did.
They did, and I give them credit. They apologize.
It's open. They were looking for a murderer.
Um, and then they went on and doomed off to look for murder.
And in that neighborhood and every day where I want them to find, you know, absolutely.
It was somebody that was murdered in Boston.
And what I found out.
It was a collaboration between boxer PD and Newton PD, and he was not over his girlfriend in the in my neighborhood.
So it could have been a man walking down the street with the one I get it.
It could have been, but it wasn't.
And that we need to have better descriptions than, you know, when you see a black name pull a gun because these Yeah, yeah, this is This is a hard issue.
Man is the artist in Virginia, and it's an issue of the heart we have to talk about.
We get a chance.
Is that the best thing that happened, man? Put the gun on the job.
Yeah, I love people, and I want people to be excited, and I want our you know, African American kids to be safe as everyone else.
Um, I don't get it in.
Part of that is, you know our part.
We'll do our part by making sure that I interacted.
We're going to do that.
But also one give them those cubes.
But I hope one day that he doesn't know more decades don't have to worry about.
You know, I'm making sudden movements so they can say, Officer, I didn't do anything, and I I don't know what you're doing It, you know, in a reasonable manner.
That would be nice.
I would love for that.
Well, I think as long as Assad, long as you you take the time to do this.
You didn't have to do this.
You could have lived your life and gone on and not not had this.
But I got got to think that God God put you in this position Not only with your own kids.
I mean, really was all that with all the teams there.
You're a father figure two kids of these teams, and some of them do not have dads, and they've had some difficult situations.
So I think a man of your of your experience, but a man of your wisdom is a perfect guy in the spot.
I just want you to know when I see you, I'm gonna I'm gonna keep praying for you with love on you.
It's stand by you and and speak for you.
And, uh, I think that's a good start, like you said, because the heart, the natural heart, is wicked.
Jeremiah had said that.
It's it's evil that it's a hard issues.
They don't Don't don't don't give your excuses.
It's a heart issue.
So in my heart, I want to just encourage you.
It's big blessing to you, Mia, Thank you so much.
I appreciate it.
It's a rough issue upto contemplate with people on in today's society, with Tim Duncan saying with his incident that with the cops, they was looking for some kind of murderer or something, and they thought he fit the description.
But the truth of the matter is, that can happen to anyone in anybody in society.
Look, um, myself, I could be pored over.
I could be, um, subject to a Lina.
That's one thing about it.
So that's what he's talking about between race and police relations.
So once again, this is from Nash 106 point wind.
