Uh, hello, everybody.
And welcome to another episode of NFC North draft Recap, as always, on your host Drew stall today.
You guys know how these works? This is our sixth division that we have done so far of this draft recap.
Days All we have left is the emcee South in the NFC East.
Today we are doing the NFC North.
For those of you who don't know, the NFC North consists of the Bears, the lines, the Packers and the Vikings.
And we will be, um, look, taking a look at the draft picks that these teams selected back in April.
Um, so this has been a continuing Siri's.
We'll have two more episodes of this, Um, and it's been going pretty well.
You guys have enjoyed it.
And, um, I'm ready to ah, do it again and etc North style.
So again, what we do in these, we take a look at the way we do it.
We go team by team on, and then what we dio is we kind of go through all the draft picks and then we talk a little bit about each one on Ben.
We will give them an overall draft grade.
Um, and we will do that for all four teams.
And at the end, we'll have four draft draft grade teams, and then that will be our episode.
That's kind of how the draft recap, um, works.
Ah, here. Cold? Never.
So we're actually going to start today with Chicago Bears, the Bears? I'm actually What we do is we share the screens that you guys at home can actually see the fix as well.
So you guys can see it here.
Hopefully, um, actually gonna zoom in one more.
And there we go.
Us can hopefully. Now see it.
Um, so the bears actually did not have a first round pick because of the Khalil Mack trade.
They didn't have one last year as well, but they did not.
Multiple second round picks.
Ah, so we're gonna start.
Let's just get to work.
43 was acquired from the Raiders.
Almost part of that Khalil Mack trade.
And what That I selected a tight end, um, cold comment out of Northern name.
The one reason I don't like this biggest cause the Bears, after they selected him, they now have 10 tight ends on the roster.
the Bears need a lot more help and other other positions in the draft is about getting depth.
And the Bears did not do that because it's about dept.
That other positions you already have.
Ah, lot of depth that tight and you already have a lot of depth that other positions.
So I really don't.
I don't see the need to draft a tight end, and, you know, I think he's gonna be a good player.
But I just I don't like the tight end picked by the Bears and by any team that doesn't need a tight end.
OK, don't just pick a tight and just to have it, you Every team has some hole or someplace that they have any depth or actually have a hole to fill in the draft.
So I don't like this big.
But this next pick, though I do like Jaylin Johnson out of Utah.
I think he's going to be a great player and I'm not saying it was a steal in this second round because he definitely is a second round guy.
Um, but you know, I think the Bears, you know, they really don't have corner depth, and that's you know, I can't express this enough having corners.
It's just so it's so important.
Um, nowadays in football and I think it is, um, I think this is a way better pick than the cool comment pick out in order Dame that, you know, to add on to that pick.
They actually probably reached for my thought of him as I third to fourth round guy.
So there's not 1/3 or fourth round pick.
I'm assuming that was part of the Khalil Mack trade as well.
Potentially a George Howard trade and a few other things.
The Bears made a lot of trades over the years, and you're starting to see these different holes.
Fourth, but they have two picks in the second round, and I think it it went OK.
Drafting a very good corner between drafting a tight.
If you were embarrassed fan, it's fine.
Um, your day, too.
But now we're gonna go into Day three, where they had to to fifth rump 3/5 round picks into seventh round picks.
Let's get to the fifth round picks.
Um, so again, they didn't have a big and have a say on first.
Fourth of the Devil 15 06 But we're going to start.
They have a lot of fifth round picks this year to start off day three.
And then I was an edge rusher, which is interesting because they have Khalil Mack.
I'm not exactly sure why they would go out and get an edge rusher, didn't it? Didn't really make much sense to me trying to draft an edge rusher.
When I saw this pick, I was, you know, I had to do a little bit of research and I like he's gonna be a good player.
But I just think that the Bears really didn't need to select him.
I don't think it's a very good pick for the team.
Um, you know, you don't always draft on talent, you draft on team needs, and I don't I just think that's I just don't think the Bears did that in this draft so far.
They did draft a very good corner, but aside from that tight and you don't need that an address for you don't need that.
Um, Borgo eight picks later, and they started another corner at a Georgia Southern, Uh, tender build or again, You just like you already drafted a corner. Have what you get.
Maybe an offensive lineman.
I'm a safety just like anything You don't have toe really repeat positions because there's so many positions in football, they're selling positions the bears really need to fill.
And it the bears have not done that yet.
Which is which is interesting.
Um, yeah, again.
Just very questionable picks.
But the Bears have selected, and I don't know, it just it just doesn't make too much sense for me so far.
Um, with this draft last now we're gonna go to their 3rd 5th run, pick their third and final fifth round pick.
Finally, a pick that I like another guy kind of now Arlena Power five school.
They really didn't draft.
According to that, you look at, um look at where we start off power five, power five and then none of these guys are power five, Mom.
Kind of just something to note that, But Donald Monory Aziz, 1/5 round pick, is going to be a very good steel for the bears.
And you look at the bears wide receiver in court and it's really not that great.
You have Alan Robinson.
But really, aside from that, the bears really need for C person to keep up with this division.
You know, Adam, feeling in over a minute soda.
Um and then you have Davante Adams in Green Bay and then you have, you know, Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones Jr.
Over there in Detroit and the Bears.
You could say they have Alan Robinson, but really compete the way I think they potentially can.
You're gonna need more offensive weapons, and it looks like the Bears have been trying to do just that.
So I did not have a six ton pick, but they had to seventh run picks, and that's what's gonna close out.
Um, that's what's going to close out.
Our, um oh, are are Bears selection on for the draft.
And these these again are more questionable picks.
So we'll start these picture action back to back at 2 26 on the one with Arlington Hambor at a Colorado Al Qaeda combined.
These fixing each other's Simmons out of Tennessee State again.
I just don't think these were the best available guys and the bears.
You know that they have a decent offensive line.
I'm not exactly sure why they decided to go back to back offensive lineman.
I think the Bears definitely could have drafted maybe a safety, Remember, just any defensive back, Um, But I think going back to back with offensive line is just not really the way to go, especially in the seventh round, when there's just a big talent pool, kind of just all in the same employers air flying off the board.
And there's so many more to choose from.
I don't see the need to reposition the the Bears did.
That was multiple positions that's directed multiple corners, multiple offensive line in the second round.
Um, I have to say, I don't I don't I don't feel too hot about these bears, um, draft picks and, you know, let's let's take a look here.
They had a couple good picks out the wide receiver pick.
Jaylin Johnson picked that.
So I pretty good.
But really, I I I'm not in love with the Bears draft flash, and it doesn't help that they didn't have a first round pick.
Let me remind you, um, but I don't know, I'm just I'm not a big fan of this.
And now what we dio is we I will update a banner, um, off the great.
So we're gonna get our 1st 1 ground here.
Uh, and this might be a little bit too harsh, but I think it's fairly accurate.
The bears get a C.
Uh, I just think they didn't really draft.
Really? According to who I really thought they would.
You don't need a tight end, okay? You don't need to go back to back offensive lineman, Especially in the seventh round.
Um, yeah, that That's kind of my explanation for that.
And, you know, let me know in the chat down below.
If you guys agree or disagree, um, with this with these pics, So what? We're done with the bears now? Um, and if I can, For those of you who have just joined us, we just finish up.
The bears were still have three more teams left to go.
And, you know, I think this bear draft class is not one of the best, but we'll see how they how they dio Um but now we're gonna go to our next team on I'm actually gonna pull up round draft picks before we get to talking about him.
So if you look at this line Chef cast, it really is.
Ah, lot more likable.
Um, so I'm going to pull it up.
I shall be at, uh, once the at is over, we can go take a look at this line.
Hey, I was humans that you guys at home can see it.
So we're now going to go to the Lions Lions draft.
Recap is next, right here on the golden hour.
Sports now working lax.
You're gonna get straight to it.
We're going to share the screen, and, um, let's get rolling.
So lines did have a first round pick third overall at that, and they will with Jeff.
Oh, could I think this was really the only way to go? Um, they could have gone offensive tackle.
But after getting rid of Darius Slay trading them to the Philadelphia Eagles in the off season, I really think they didn't have to go corner.
And there's no better corner in this track that is not named Jeff a Cuda.
And I really think he's actually going to be a difference.
Um, for this lines organization, especially after, um, trading away Darius Slay.
I I think it is actually a very good pick for the Lions.
And now that's That was their only day.
One pick third overall.
Jeff Oh, could again.
I think it's a It's a perfect pick.
There's no other guy that really could have went with without saying.
Oh, that's a good pick.
Really special it third got Borough Young.
The lines really did not.
Didn't even quarterback.
Okay, they could have used in all offensive linemen, but I'll code is definitely the way to go here.
I spent enough time explaining this pick.
You guys know that this is, um this is a good thing, and now we're gonna go.
This is actually sneaky.
Good pick for me.
Ah, them landing.
DeAndre. Swift idea.
Actually going 32 the Kansas City Chiefs and they didn't go running back, but it was flat.
I would so lair and DeAndre script.
Okay, He's going to be a great NFL player.
And you know that there the lines, they have a running back, but they don't really have great ones.
um, You know, if you just look at it, they have carry on Johnson.
Ah, why are no others coming to mind? Um, let's take a look at the lines.
Actually, I'm curious.
Yes, they have. DeAndre swift.
Carry on. Johnson.
Both Scarborough Todd Johnson thes aren't great guys.
And I think you know, you have carry on Johnson.
And that Scarborough anti Johnson, you know, they just you know, they're not starting running back, but then bring in DeAndre Swift, I think is really gonna help him out in the ***ually good pick. So I like it.
Um, So through the first and second round, they're having a pretty good draft so far.
And they had to third round picks where I think they excelled exceptionally well.
Going with an edge rusher, especially this one.
Um, Carla, I really think he's actually he's going to be great.
And the blinds you to just at an edge rusher.
Especially after ever since no Nadon **** and Sue has left eye.
I just don't think the lines have had that address, your presence.
And now that they have that the lions, you know that they're building something I'm not.
I can see it working, but I still think you need to find another option at quarterback, but not to take away from this pick.
This pick is great on, and it will be.
It will be a, um It's a good pick.
Now we're gonna go eight picks later.
Where did they acquire 75 from that, right? 75 from the Colts as part of a draft day trade.
So this cold *** was number? Um, back.
It looks like, um, with the Colts and they went with one of the best guards in this draft class, Jonah Jackson out of Ohio State.
I mean, he's a great player.
I remember watching him, um, at Ohio State, and I'm sure some of you do, too.
I mean, he was just one of the best guards in the country, and I really thought he was second round talent fell to the third, but again, and, um, a great pick nonetheless, there by the lines lines s so far, so good, honestly, that this Lions draft vice is actually shaping up pretty well, and that's you know, there's a reason why they're drafting Third, but drafting third always potentially gives you the best available guys.
They did have 1/4 round pick and they went with another guard.
I don't like repeating positions.
Okay? You don't have to draft a guard, okay? You only have to starting guards on your team, and you still need a lot more help elsewhere.
And guard is just not the place to do it.
Toe put up death.
You only have two guards playing at the same time.
If you go with corners, you could have upto or off receivers.
And maybe even more.
More, more on the defensive lineman side, you don't have to repeat guards.
And that that's still in reason.
I'm not in love with this pick, but it hate drawn a Jackson never works out.
Then then you have Stemberg out of Kentucky.
Um, but bubble Really? Ah ah.
Don't let I don't like this pick.
Um, I don't I don't like repeating positions.
And after you drive college, Axl and the best bars in the country, you don't have to go on draft another guard, Okay? That that's kind of they start they were doing They were doing so well and then drafting Steinberg in the fourth round just kind of put them down a little bit.
Um, well, let's go check out the rest of their draft class.
So I did have to fifth round picks, and these pics are more interesting.
I like the receiver pick out of Wisconsin action, Remember, in plain as well, suit Sioufas at Wisconsin is going to be a great player in Detroit.
Eso I get another good pick that the lines already have receivers, but you can never have too many receivers.
Especially one offense is your weakness.
But this big is interesting.
You already have carry on Johnson here if side Johnson area both Scarborough and earlier in the draft.
You already drafted Dion very swift.
So I don't see the need to go draft Jason homely in the fifth round.
Um, again, I don't like I don't like, um, repeating positions, and that's what the lines have done twice so far.
But they made it up a few times when they have actually been drafting some of the best players available at the time in the draft.
So they have been rippin positions, um, which I'm not a fan off but there you could never have.
Well, you can't have too many running backs.
I take that back there, have a crowd of running back field and you'll quite two guards at a time, so you don't have to get a guard as well.
Um, so there's really only two picks that I really don't like here.
But now let's keep on going through the draft class, the lines had 1/6 and 1/7 and again repeating, um, positions.
You don't have to go on draft to back to back defensive tackles.
Um, you don't you don't have to draft back to back defensive tackles, but one is clearly better than the other.
John Tennessee out of Utah is going to be a great player on, and then Josh and Cornell out of Ohio State, he's gonna be OK for them.
I he's nothing more than a backup, honestly, and I again they repeated three positions in the draft, but with the talent they selected, I don't think you can really be too mad about these Lions draft picks.
Um, I don't and I think I have my grade lines.
You feel that you guys can see, um, the trays they required.
They had to draft day trades, and they got 1 66 from the Eagles.
Um, and then they got a pick from patriots as well.
I have my have my grade.
So I'm go, actually going to update in here.
Okay, So I have, um I have my, um, selection and lions get it. B minus.
The only reason I didn't give them higher is really because they've repeated three positions, but the pit, the positions, they repeated, they got some good players there, Okay? I mean, you got DeAndre so swift.
So I think it was first round talent.
Okay, You got one of the best cars in the country, and then you've got a pretty decent defensive tackle in the sixth round and, you know, you look at they got a great edge, rusher.
The lines had a good drafting.
Let's not forget Jeff Okun of their biggest need going into the draft.
It's a it's a good pick.
And, uh um, the lines, I think, had a pretty decent draft.
So to kind of recap, the bears have a sea mine.
It have a C and the lines have the B minus.
We have two more teams left.
We have the Packers, and the Vikings will go in that order.
So our next team will be the Green Bay Packers.
Let me just pull it up and then we'll get straight to the Packers selections.
So I was always I do after close up this ad, you're and it looks like we are Get ready.
So I will share the screen, and then we can get Roland.
Okay, so I don't want to get off on a bad flood here.
Um, but the Packers did not have to trade up in the first round, and they definitely do naff to trade up her Jordan love.
Um, it's It's just hard for me to say anything good about about this pick and you don't have to.
You have am Rodgers who's still.
I mean, he's out of his prime, but he's not way out.
It is far. I'm OK.
His prime was just a year or so ago, and he said, you slowing down a little bit, but he still has four more years.
And in four more years, Jordan, love's gonna be a free agent.
Um, you know that he has a team option cause he's a first round pick.
But, you know, he has four guaranteed years.
Um, and I think they're going to be really wasted.
And I don't know if I don't know what the plan is with Aaron Rodgers, and that's where we're gonna have to.
Unfortunately, start off with these Packers selections, and it doesn't get better.
Honestly, you don't You don't need a running back, and you could definitely do better than a J um, Dylan out of Boston College.
You have Aaron Jones.
Um, you have Jamal Williams.
You have a lot of running backs accessible.
Um, Aaron Jones coming off a career year, one of the he was a top five leading rusher taught five and rushing touchdowns.
He was a great player last year.
And then you have the change of pace back to Mo Williams.
You don't have to get a running back in the second round, okay? I've nothing wrong with doing in the later rounds, but you have other needs.
You have to fill running back isn't one of them and talk to talk about keep going.
Bad drafts of the Packers.
They don't need a tight end.
They have Jimmy Graham.
Um, and they have.
When you think there's Aiken bit? The packers have pie dams.
Okay, you don't have to draft one.
You got Jimmy Grant.
You of Jared Cook actually was on the Saints right now.
My bad on b of Jimmy Graham.
Um, and you really only have one tight end at a time.
You don't have to draft.
I tied ent in the third round.
And the Packers draft is really not off to a good start.
And the Packers did have one of the worst drafts I'm and being primarily because they trade up for Jordan low.
But if you really look at the rest of their draft picks there, they're not impressive guys.
And let's just continue.
The Packers did not have 1/4 round pick, but they had 1/5 and a lot of six.
And then so they had a first a second.
If there are no fourth that they did have 1/5 their original fifth.
Um, and then what was the linebacker Camille Martin out of Minnesota? Um uh, fine.
You have linebackers.
You have like Martinez.
Ah, yeah. Preston Smith.
You have a lot of linebackers available. The Packers.
I know they don't have a lot of draft needs they made to the NFC championship game.
There are one win away from reaching the Super Bowl, But you you you don't have to, um, drafted linebacker here.
They need a lot of our positions.
They need a safety.
They could always use more receivers, and for some reason they didn't get a receiver.
You have to get an Roger Self and they didn't get her a super.
There were 30 or 40 water.
She was taken in the draft from.
For some reason, the Packers did not select one.
I think they could have had tea. Higgins.
They could have that.
Basically, every single receiver beside about three or four they had accessible to them.
Um and, ah, not a good start.
And through the fifth round, you at least have one good player that you're confident about, and I don't think the Packers have that, but they do have 36 thrown picks and then to seven So snow, five more picks.
Let's get to their sixth round picks.
They acquired 1 92 from the from the Raiders, and they required to await from the titans.
So to await, um there, Acquired from the Titans and n 209 tool nine.
They were quiet.
I'm not even sure where they got that one from, um oh, to organize their own pick on the dope.
So they have their 336 round picks.
And to be totally honest with you guys, I don't like any of them.
Um, you already have a strong offense.
And Lyman, you have didn't back to your e an all pro.
You don't have to draft.
North has alignment a center and then offensive tackle.
Okay, 36 run picks, all offensive linemen.
You don't need that.
Let's look at the Packers offensive linemen.
Let's take a look here.
Um, let's take a look at their roster.
Um, Well, yes, I I am just I don't know.
It just I don't know.
Just doesn't make too much sense to me.
You have to go back to your e. Okay.
Um, you have what's great. A look.
You have Travis Burr fee.
Um, and then you have, you know, let's keep going.
There's so many more offensive line.
You have Zach Johnson? Um, right.
There's just so many guys that they have accessible to them.
They go on half the draft.
Three offense of lineman in the exact same art, especially those you acquired from trading back and up.
Okay, the Packers on so many draft day trades and really, it's not.
It's not impressive.
Um, and the Packers don't have one thick through six rounds.
They don't have one draft pick that I that I that I think is going to work out low for them.
Jordan love. Absolutely not.
Absolutely not now by Aaron Jones.
Jamal Williams? I'm and you'd have to track three on offensive linemen in the exact same around.
All right, they have to seventh round picks.
Let's see if that can be any better.
Vernon Scotty T.
You have Adrian a Mills starting at safety.
You don't need a safety.
But a final pick here that I can actually come around finally is the edge rusher Jonathan Garvin out of Miami.
The Packers do need an edge rusher.
I'll give all that.
The Packers had a very rough draft.
I'm sorry, guys.
That to be so negative, but let me know when that shot down below.
I'm actually going to check the chat.
Um, do you guys do you guys like, um, do you guys like any of these? Um, any of these? Ah, any of these draft picks? I honestly really don't.
There's not a single one that I actually do like from these packers track picks.
But guys, I'm gonna close it out.
You know, you just look at all these guys.
I don't feel comfortable.
You don't need your love.
Nor in Asia 1,000,000,000 You don't need a tight end.
Okay? You don't need a line.
Linebackers are you don't need three offensive line and you already have a safety and ed rush track and come around on.
I know the Packers don't have a lot of holes to fill, but you can still draft.
Well, could look at the Chiefs.
The Chiefs had a pretty decent draft guys, even though they really didn't have to any holes to fill.
So I have my grade b a lot worse than the, um the, um then both these teams.
I'll give you that.
And this one's actually going to be one of my worst grades.
And I think actually, one of the worst I've given, um, now explain why in a second, actors get a D plus, um, to be cold.
Be honest with you guys.
It's nothing personal.
The Packers, they just didn't They didn't draft well on that.
They they just didn't.
And that's kind of my explanation for why the Packers get a D plus.
No, not very good dress guys bear for the seed lines with the B minus and then the Packers with a D plus.
Let's see if we can get on something a little bit better with our fourth and final scene, the Minnesota Vikings.
Let me just pull them up here and then we'll get right.
Okay, So just But judging look up, that already like this draft class A lot better than any other team in their division.
We are going to take a look at it more.
There is an ad, so I'll sit through the at and then we can get to the Vikings draft recap.
Uh, this one's a longer ad, so I apologize for you who are waiting here.
We are ready to rock.
Vikings had a lot of draft picks and multiple first round picks.
All right, let's take a look at the Minnesota Vikings draft class will start off a total stool just in Jefferson.
I'm pretty sure me and everyone's grandma thought that the Eagles would select Justin Jefferson, but it actually fell one spot after the Eagles went with, Um, why can I think of his name? I don't know.
Um, but it's a great pick.
I know he only slid one pick, but he's a steal for the likings, especially after trading away.
Stefon Diggs were only 1/7 round pick to the Buffalo Bills.
You have Adam feeling just in Jefferson.
Delvin couldn't called Rudolph and Kirk cousins in Minnesota on.
They're always consistently a playoff team.
I still think they are just that little bit blow.
Um, Tier one and contenders.
But there are very good team and have a very good offense, and I'm just in Jefferson to it, especially after trading away.
Um, Stefon Diggs is a huge booster to them, and 31 I do believe they traded off with off boarding honors to select Jeff Gladney, and you look at the Vikings corners.
They actually don't have a lot of corners I'm available of.
They don't observe your roads anymore.
So drafting another corner is not bad.
And then two first round picks and guys, they made the most of it.
Thes two first round picks are very, very good, and the banking's had a very good day. One.
I like these grades so far, So they did have a second round pick and then with a czar in Cleveland and Boise State.
Another great tip.
Um, I had them going Josh Jones, I'll with this big, but, um, you know, he's lit a little bit more onto Number 65 I think.
But there's nothing wrong drafting an offensive tackle, especially when you need one and one of this caliber in the second round again.
Another great pick.
I really like these but this Viking draft class and keep going.
I know they repeated it, but it's not.
It's not a terrible cook.
You can never have too many corners.
You never I That's kind of the philosophy that I've been going with this one.
So again, I think it is, um it's going to be a great song.
It's a great pick.
So they went with two corners And why receiver? Um a ah Ende offensive linemen.
The Vikings have had a very good draft so far through three rounds, four picks.
I like the way the draft classes going.
So let's now go in today.
They had a lot of draft picks.
That the move, They have the sack? Sure, I believe they have the most traffics out of any team in day three.
So now let's go there.
We're gonna get to those in just a bit extra.
We're gonna go to them right out.
I don't know why I said in just a bit.
Um, so they went with thumb again.
Want him out of South Carolina.
I think if you wanted to go defensive end, he could have gone a lot earlier.
You had two first round picks.
If they really thought this was a need, they could have gone in the in the earlier rounds.
But at this point, the talent, it's still pretty good, but it's just at the point where it's not always, Um It's not always the best available talent and then going James Lynch again.
I'm out of a lot.
They had a good draft, but, um, these 24 13 picks I'm not too big a fan off again, in a way kind of repeating positions.
But this one, though drafting a linebacker is exactly what the Vikings did in a very good one.
Troy died out of Oregon.
This is a perfect picking, a perfect fit for this Minnesota Vikings defense the Vikings actually are putting together.
I know they're already good, but they're putting together a pretty decent team.
Um, you know, especially with this draft.
So we're not gonna go to their fifth round picks.
They had two of those 26 and, oh, gosh, with 57 So they went, they had three force.
And then we're gonna go to their to fifth round picks again.
You, um, another corner.
But the Vikings are very low on quarters, but I think after this one, I'm not sure how they're feeling.
Harrison, hand out a temple.
And then drafting another wide receiver, KJ Osborn, out of Miami, it's It's perfect.
All the Vikings are having a very good draft.
And, um, I'm like the way that the Vikings are choosing to go with this with this draft corners, linebackers, receivers and the occasional lineman.
That's a perfect way to draft.
Especially when your need of receivers.
Um, because they do trade away stuff on days.
So they had to six.
And then, I believe for seventh.
Also ate six more picks left to go and get another offensive tackle at Oregon State.
I'm not I don't really like this pick to be totally honest with you guys getting another offensive tackle when you already drafted one.
Um, I just don't see.
I don't see the need for repeating positions.
I know the tractors, although death.
But I'm very did, um They're ready Draft.
They already have debt at those positions.
And now I'm gonna go to their final six.
They selected safety.
Just, um, Josh, tell us out of Michigan.
And, um, you have Why can't I think of his name? You have Harrison Smith.
You don't need to get another safety to believe.
They have, um, a strong safety as well.
A pretty decent one at that.
But death it's fine.
I guess with these with these picks and we'll see what? Um, you know what? We'll see where the Vikings choose to go on before we get into the seventh round.
This is our fourth and final seem off the NFC North and, um, just ah, well, let's get to the seventh round picks.
4/7 round picks.
Let's share back the screen.
They went with some Kenny will kiss out of Michigan, say he's a great player.
Um, so I think I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt on that one.
But you already went, if we can check it out there already went defense event and defensive tackle earlier, so I don't really see why they went, Um, Denny will kiss, but it's the seventh round.
So it is just just going best available, and they didn't go best available.
This next big is very questionable.
Nate Stanley out if I will.
If you wanted to get all q B.
I don't think Nate Stanley was really the way to go.
Um, and you and I think the only reason I'm really okay with this is you have court cousins, and then you have Sean Mannion.
Um, and if you want to get a younger quarterback, there's nothing wrong with that.
Getting us getting one of the seven thrown is perfect, especially when you have 4/7 round picks.
There's nothing wrong with getting a quarterback.
Um, but I don't expect him.
He's not going to 10.
Contend with the starting job.
Car cousins, I believe, is in his final year.
Um, of that three year deal with the Vikings.
Crazy to see how long that deal has been.
I'm actually curious.
We're going to take, actually, let's take a look at that now, Kirk Cousins contract.
All right, so let's take a look at this.
Okay? I forgot he signed an extension.
So in 2020 he will make, um, a $9.
Then he signed a massive extension, um, where it makes 21,000,020 $2135 million in 2022.
And then he's a free agent in 2023.
So he still has three more seasons with the Vikings.
And the likings is perfect.
A perfect fit for them as we've seen.
So in 2018 2020 Signed a three year, $84 million contract.
84 fully here. Teague.
Um, And through 2020 I believe he was actually hit.
Teoh hit the free agent market, but they they agreed to a, um, a three year extension.
Teoh Um, there's actually a two year extension for the next two years.
This would have been his final year alum as a member of the Vikings.
But they're acting, what for two more years.
So three more years for Kirk Cousins.
We'll see what they choose to do with Nate's family.
So we now have two more seventh round picks for the Vikings to dio.
Let's get to its They want with the safety.
You drafted a safety earlier, so I'm not exactly sure why they won't repeat of safeties.
Um, Brian called a second out of Mississippi State.
Especially the seventh gonna pick the action.
They got this from a com pick and then four picks later, they got a conflict as well from the NFL.
So two of these picks were complex, um, one of and then the other two they got from trades and the final pick of this episode was an offensive lineman at a Washburn.
Someone tell me where that is.
Um, Kyle hinting at a Washburn again.
Just He was 2 53 There were 255 picks in the draft.
So Yeah, it's just kind of distract from a small school.
So that drafted.
And we'll see if he decides to make the team.
Um, and that'll do it for the Vikings portion.
And this is, um this is our NFC, um, North draft recap.
So I'm going to get the final grades up.
Okay, so I'm gonna put it up as a big banner here.
Um oh, go there.
In our final grades, RS followed the bears get a see the lines, get a B minus, and the packers get a d plus the Vikings get a B plus, and, um, I think it is a pretty decent, um a pretty decent, um, and a decent draft, especially for these nfu New York teams again.
