00:00:18
Good evening, everybody.
00:00:20
This is bankers all along here.
00:00:22
SportsCastr on Tuesday night Patriots Episode seven Um, I hope you're all are doing okay.
00:00:30
I know we're all going especially, You know, we're going for a Tom in a world where it's obviously we're trying to unite his one.
00:00:41
And it's obviously been very, very tough.
00:00:45
Ah, for many people, Um, and especially in this world of what, What's going on and stuff like that, huh? So I'll talk about what players air Talking regarding the justice for George Floyd.
00:01:01
Um, because obviously that's, I think, bigger than sports really right now.
00:01:06
And I will get into some Patriots and NFL news, obviously later.
00:01:11
And I'm gonna get my stance regarding the, uh you know, players were saying on social media regarding Ah, black lives matter and it really, really Does it really, really this time of, you know, our, you know, really know world right now it's it's coming down a part where we have to list in and United's one.
00:01:35
And, um, I think that we have to really, um, you know, violence and race is obviously very, very tough, for for a lot of people and even for myself.
00:01:49
That's not a African American.
00:01:51
That's really tough to see many people that are getting violated it, and it sucks to really see And it hurts on the street, Honestly, for me to see, um, for many of those people, but to pretty much get into my episode for tonight, I wanted to try to get into what some players have been saying online in terms of social media of, uh, regarding, um, the, uh, the George Ford situation.
00:02:21
I'm gonna get into the payout patriots and wastes about that, um, get into the power rankings of Peter King said, um, last call days ago.
00:02:31
Um, mostly going to post like I mentioned last week.
00:02:36
Talk about posting my episodes for non SportsCastr members.
00:02:43
So I'm gonna start doing that tonight after my apps is done to post.
00:02:48
I am bastos on pretty much every social media platform.
00:02:52
Um, and I do also just want to first say, just thank you for all the people that have been joining me tuning in for sure.
00:03:04
I really, really appreciate it.
00:03:06
Um, so, um, just some odd agenda things to point out for Episode seven.
00:03:16
Um, so obviously I want to get into, um, you know, it's been really going on a world right now in the joy sports situation.
00:03:26
Another thing to the NFL had memos for turning camps.
00:03:30
Another thing, too, is I got invited from another sport Castor account to join their show tomorrow night on Fort on Flood Stirs Sport Zone It's their page.
00:03:48
I'm not sure if they have joined in and onto mine for tonight or they have in the past.
00:03:54
But they wanted me to join talks in hockey with them tomorrow night at seven o'clock Eastern Sohn.
00:03:59
So you want to want to miss that? I also have my regular Thursday night show.
00:04:04
I'm going to return to sports.
00:04:05
And obviously the return of sports last week is a big show for me, especially with all these leagues trying to come back.
00:04:13
Uh, you know, with Cove in 19 and everything like that, we have to kind of see work sports league stand, and so n ba has a big voting decision on Thursday.
00:04:25
So obviously got in the latest.
00:04:27
I'm not getting the latest off the latest remember will be and ah lost against you for Thursday night at seven o'clock so you won't want to miss that one as well.
00:04:36
But for tonight, obviously want to talk about the power rankings.
00:04:40
I want to get my own roster projection for the Patriots, and, um, let's get started.
00:04:48
So I'm start off.
00:04:50
I just wanted Teoh, um, talk about really what the big topic is, and it's it's pretty much what we're living through in the world world today and for not just people in general, you know, myself not as, um, African American, but for somebody that can understand and support people for for their race.
00:05:14
Um, obviously, black lives really do matter and in our world on and the racism and violence is just something that is that is really tough to see with all the protests soon stuff The peaceful protest in is obviously very, very understandable.
00:05:28
And I know the social distancing and cove it is kind of big thing.
00:05:33
But, you know, really, as a country, we kind of all have to really speak up and, you know, do our part.
00:05:39
And as a patriots always say, Do your job, whether it's donating, it's speaking up online to really send the message up to these people saying, You know, we're behind you and I think a lot of people today on social media lots of athletes went on, spread the word out for sure, and I think you will see much more of that throughout the week.
00:06:02
Um so the latest from many, um, at least for Boston Sports team.
00:06:07
But for pretty much a lot of leaks and teams in general, they've released statements out that I wanted to just say some words from the statement off Robert Cracks from the New England Patriots, a craft family released a steaming acting out too long ago.
00:06:23
The Revolution, which across also owned as well.
00:06:26
They released a statement on their part.
00:06:28
The Red Sox did. Bruins did.
00:06:30
The Celtics did Many.
00:06:32
Just many teams, all in general, have basically, by now released a statement, Um, even worried.
00:06:37
What's a school in college in college? The president, Dr Rooney, who, obviously for Philly with the craft group.
00:06:44
Um, she released a statement now, which is very, very nice of her and just really just giving up this message.
00:06:52
Everybody, our, um regarding of what race you are, but especially were coming together for for the race of black and African American people, and they really do matter and all worlds for sure.
00:07:07
So I wanted to get into some of what this team had to say, and ah, I don't know if I get into all of it, but I'll try to do some of some of the ah, some of the the writing that they had so, uh, pretty much want to say over the last several days, we had trying, listen, learn and reflects.
00:07:28
We have been at a loss for the appropriate words.
00:07:31
Perhaps because there are none to adequately describe the horrific incidents of the last few weeks, it is impossible for us to comprehend what happened to George Floyd or the pain in this family must be feeling, Ah, pain that Rennes states with so many others who have lost loved ones and similar brutalities that were not captured or on video for the rest of the world to see, we cannot be going to understand the frustration and fear members of our black community have faced for generations.
00:08:02
Recent events has shined, Ah, light on a topic that's a man's much more attention, then he pretty much want to say this here, our family and our own organization stands.
00:08:14
Excuse me.
00:08:16
We are horrified by the acts of racism we've witnessed were heartbroken for the families who have lost loved ones.
00:08:23
And we're devastated for communities of color or sad and who are exhausted, who are suffering.
00:08:29
We know that none of our sadness, exhaustion or suffering is new.
00:08:33
We know it's just systemic.
00:08:36
Our eyes, ears and hearts are open.
00:08:39
Our family has a long history of supporting vulnerable people in our community and advocating for equality, which is we're trying to get into for everybody.
00:08:48
Equality that's the biggest lie in that country really needs to under really understand.
00:08:55
But past efforts don't mean anything until we all stand on equal footing in America.
00:08:59
So we must act in the present and not simply rely on what we've done in the past.
00:09:05
There remains much work to be done.
00:09:07
We will not rest on statements because of words without actions are avoid.
00:09:12
Rather, we will work harder than ever before you are still in there and therapy, community engagement, advocacy and supporting the work of our players.
00:09:23
The build bridges to equality, to stand up for what's right in the value of all people.
00:09:30
Obviously, what the big thing on social media that people have done today is, um, put out an instagram or social media thing with pretty much the block age on it and pretty much putting out that sweet black block out Tuesday, which has been spread all over.
00:09:48
I think that's something that is really, really important for all the people, especially the African American community, to stand back and appreciate for everybody that we're trying to promote all love you, no matter what race or gender you are.
00:10:06
He always should be treated as this as a person with respect, no matter what.
00:10:13
Um, so I really wanted to kind of get into this for sure, because it's been a really, really tough Um, it's it's obviously we're trying to do everything in our part, and I've see people are protesting peacefully for sure.
00:10:30
I mean, obviously the people that are, you know, breaking stuff, and doing that to city, I think is a little much.
00:10:38
But I think what security has been they've been really, um, you know, trying to block a lot of places of stores so they won't have to do that anymore and to support a lot of our communities and businesses.
00:10:54
There really struggled due to cove it.
00:10:57
So Rob Asi we're trying to find a common ground here and I think that, you know, we're obviously live in the world or are year is already tough as it is, but this is something for sure that we have to really, really understand that it's not right and we have to stand up and speak out and making sure that people understand that we have Teoh come come together as one and this in these situations.
00:11:27
Um okay, I just wanted to reach Just want to say some people that said something's Who posted that this certain on instagram with regarding the that all the situation Rob Gronkowski Tom Brady Um Julian Edelman Um David Ortiz.
00:11:49
Lots of athletes Pretty much that had a lot of just similar um Instagram Twitter stuff to really even media people.
00:12:00
People to stall in general is just We had to really spread and show off war a race that's been very hard getting discriminated against that which is not right whatsoever.
00:12:15
And ah, we we have to make sure that all roll can come together soon and and hopefully, you know, work hard.
00:12:24
I mean, for myself, obviously, as an African American, I don't understand it.
00:12:28
But I do understand that we have to be coming together as one and showing love his black lives.
00:12:33
Do matter like I've like I had mentioned.
00:12:36
You're sure? Okay.
00:12:41
So now, um, going to transition over to what's, uh, Adam Schefter said today Some import, I guess.
00:12:52
Important news regarding, you know, activity leading up to ah season.
00:13:01
You know, hopefully with there being one for sure.
00:13:05
And obviously, the biggest thing is, you know, there hasn't been any ot A's for these players have a lot of virtual workouts.
00:13:15
Um, and now the biggest thing is, do how do they manage training camps? And for a lot of teams, training camps are not in, um, some, some are, you know, for more than a part, that others Ah, and I've been a I've been the pager training camp couple times.
00:13:37
They're writing Fox for a mass where facilities are, ah, place.
00:13:41
Like the cowboys.
00:13:43
I think they're facility is another state and obviously states that different regulations and rules.
00:13:48
We're going all the what can open back and everything like that regarding care of it.
00:13:54
So I just want to get to some of that quickly and for the newcomers that have joined me, I always like to drink water during this time, especially if I I'm usually talking between 45 minutes to an hour on my own.
00:14:11
Um, for most of my episodes, um, so just obviously bearing with me a little bit for that.
00:14:19
So I wanted just to reach out to what Adam Schefter said.
00:14:25
So here, couple friends to say so obviously, the cowboys, uh, in the Panthers hats and three tough from several reporters.
00:14:36
Um, and, uh, well started the panthers one basically saying that the Panthers will not hold training camp at Wofford College in South Carolina for the first time in team history, dating back to 1995.
00:14:50
So, um, the reason walks in this is because, ah, the NFL this year is not letting any teams ah, break apart from their home facility.
00:15:04
So the giants or the Jets, they have, you know, facilities that are I believe that my ways So they're going to have obviously practice closer to their home facilities.
00:15:19
Um a team like the Patriots.
00:15:23
Obviously, they have their facility right there.
00:15:25
Um, so they don't have to worry really about it.
00:15:28
But there's a lot of teams that don't practice that their facility in the NFL is pretty much saying that they have to practice at their home facility to do these training camps for this summer.
00:15:44
Um, so the Panthers, obviously, like I just said that sweet regarding that they can't hold training camp at Wofford College in South Carolina, the first time in Haiti in history dating back to 1995.
00:15:54
The Cowboys will not be heading Teoh, Oxnard, California, for training camp this summer.
00:15:59
Ah, with the lead directing teams to remain at their own facilities because the Corona virus pandemic.
00:16:06
Um so he based some Schefter.
00:16:11
But he pretty much had to say was, Here's why.
00:16:14
All teams will be home for training camp.
00:16:16
The NFL. Mehmed if L. P. A.
00:16:18
Wanted to re wanted to limit the need for travel and also limit the risk off meaning to facilities.
00:16:25
So obviously I'm getting the facilities open is one thing you need.
00:16:30
A play at the facility is another thing as well.
00:16:32
There's a lot of different key components to try and get things kind of like I've flare Paris in the past.
00:16:39
We're going to last.
00:16:40
All of us are things trying to get a little bit back to some normalcy.
00:16:43
Obviously, it's going to take a while, and who knows? One of that's gonna be.
00:16:47
But in terms of getting so many type of civilization supposed to for a lot of these big time leagues, uh, they're trying to figure out how they can.
00:16:58
They do this in a safe, um, you know, safe, safe environment and the way that they can handle doing their routines without, you know, worried about a full risk off of of Cove in, um, so they wanted to focus on one.
00:17:18
Last year, 10 teams 10 teams had camp away from facilities.
00:17:22
So this year doesn't mean not, um, He also went on to say Congressman Steve Scalise, who was a superb shot injured 27 2017 before returning to Congress, will conduct a conference call Wednesday so tomorrow to have a conference call Wednesday to talk about what a group of sport commissioners, including Roger Goodell and Gary Bettman, months others Purple Resources that call is going to adjust the return of sports, so that will be customary returning.
00:17:56
Sports Next episode's Thursday.
00:17:58
The conference calls tomorrow.
00:18:00
We'll see if there's anything coming out of that for sure.
00:18:02
But if there is, ah, mixture to you give it soaks you guys on Thursday night, you're sure? Um so the turned the 10 NFL teams that were away from their facilities? Um, let's just trying to see 10 NFL teams help.
00:18:21
Train came at least 10 miles away from the training facilities.
00:18:23
The Bills, the Panthers, the Bears, the Cowboys, the cults, the Chiefs, the Rams review, the Steelers and the Redskins.
00:18:34
All those seems air going to have to be at their facilities.
00:18:40
That's something the Patriots are not going out to worry about.
00:18:43
Is trying to figure out getting their facility phone from one facility to another to worry about training camp.
00:18:51
They have it all the one spot that their own practice facility right outside the stadium.
00:18:55
And there, that's for sure.
00:18:57
That's such a very convenient place.
00:19:00
Did you train camp? Uh, and Boksburg, um, then the next thing.
00:19:10
So obviously with that being said for teams not to be at other facilities for training camp, usually a training camp.
00:19:19
You have a couple of teams leading up to the first preseason game to do a joint practice and for now that being said of teams being at their own facilities to do this, they are not going to be able to have joint practices.
00:19:33
So obviously that's a big thing with the Patriots.
00:19:35
They usually have to join practice with the team leading up to their gain.
00:19:39
I've issued by a player's got to meet up talk with some players, Um and you know, because it's a little bit of the Aussies.
00:19:46
Obviously, the work is kind of starting to pick up closer to the preseason games, But that's not gonna happen this year.
00:19:52
So that was another big development coming out of today.
00:19:58
Um, obviously, you know, going back to the George Floyd and obviously the racism situation in sports, they're not just for African American athletes, and, you know, African American general in sports.
00:20:13
A lot of athletes have going to attend protests, their privacy, Muslim or priest, peaceful protests, um, and destroying Watson.
00:20:23
I'm set this that the sun once attended off March in Houston.
00:20:27
That was led by George Floyd's family.
00:20:31
So that was obviously ways from not, um, my next waas gonna be about Peter King's latest on the power rankings with hatreds I'm trying to go trying to see soon.
00:20:53
We started out that trying to see if there's anything else that I wanted to quickly it and into Before then let's say it doesn't look like it, Um, but I do want to get into Waas.
00:21:20
The Patriots one year training camp.
00:21:23
They usually do, Obviously, that Fox burrow.
00:21:25
For most of the years they had to do a one year at Bryant University and round.
00:21:30
Not exactly sure remembering why that was a case.
00:21:33
But, um, they have had their training camp in another facility before, but it's pretty much where it's pretty much at the seams. That facility.
00:21:43
Yeah, you're right at Bryant the Gillette Stadium facility.
00:21:50
So that being said, um, another things here, um, was regarding back to the racism in protest for gardening.
00:22:06
Uh, you know, the George Floyd and, you know, black lives And I are, of course, for sure.
00:22:12
Um, you know the way our world is going on are now.
00:22:17
Ah, the recorders.
00:22:18
Devin McCourty um, and his brother have a podcast that they do every single Sunday, and, ah, they usually do questions.
00:22:31
You know, asking about different things were on patriots and life and everything like that.
00:22:36
But this past Sunday, they did a round table.
00:22:40
Um, and they asked a bunch of people that they knew that were African American.
00:22:48
Um, and they basically gave their stance.
00:22:52
We're in this situation.
00:22:53
What? They've been counted and stuff like that.
00:22:56
Um, and, uh, I thought that was really well done, you know, for it. Basically.
00:23:04
Obviously, there's a lot of things.
00:23:06
I mean, sports is a big thing in our life.
00:23:09
Um, but in terms of our worlds, um, you know, the way things were going especially right now with, you know, covert already.
00:23:19
And now this, um, you know, sports really always to me.
00:23:24
You know, I I hope it comes back, and obviously I'm rooting for it.
00:23:27
But in terms of the current time, right now, there's obviously ah lot Teoh, you know, take it step back of and focus on what? We were all kind of making sure that racism and violence regarding these these African Americans were just awful.
00:23:46
awful to see.
00:23:47
Um, you know, people trying to figure out ways that we can come together and really United's one, as they say, we are the United States of America and hopefully at some point between come to you common ground.
00:24:02
Teoh, resolve this this this issue.
00:24:05
So people off the next year that they, you know, especially the non African Americans especially, you know, for us to stand up and spread love Teoh through that culture that that their buyer need offer right now.
00:24:24
Um, I also wanted to say congratulations to the MK Ortiz as well.
00:24:33
They were recently nominated for the Mohammad at least sports humanitarian award.
00:24:39
Um, the record is I've separate people.
00:24:43
I've never met them in person.
00:24:44
I talked to them on their podcast and they're great people to talk online with, um and, ah, you know, they do a lot for the page.
00:24:52
It's a lot for the community.
00:24:54
Devin, Sign it to your deal, Um, this offseason.
00:24:58
And, uh, obviously he's a easy guy that that doesn't want with this crowd organization for sure, and his brother, who now gets to play with them for now, China thing.
00:25:14
The third season maybe, um, you know, and the best thing wanted, sir, must have won a Super Bowl.
00:25:20
It's twins, which is really quite something to see.
00:25:24
I also LeBron McCord's.
00:25:27
It sounds like it's a lot preparing the recorders for this episode tonight, the wife of dead McCrory staying out a statement.
00:25:36
That was tough.
00:25:37
Really, really tough.
00:25:39
Um, they were expected to have a baby, and, uh, they unfortunately had a miscarriage.
00:25:47
And we've, um, in their family.
00:25:49
So obviously, my condolences are with Devon and their and our family and lots of former current patriots and a lot of media people restarts their family.
00:26:02
And, uh, pretty much Devon was on the pockets on Sunday and a lot of people killing myself extend my condolences, prayers up for their family, um, and is pretty much dead, Most saying that you know God and, you know, lots of things that you know.
00:26:19
Well, he will get through it on it sounded like he was able to, um, you know, he was still in the grieving process, and it's gonna be tough for a while, and I can't even imagine what they're going through because it starts out to say, especially through what we're all going through right now.
00:26:35
Um, but, uh, just oneness in my condolences at Cory's Devon pages organization, for sure, and the NFL, because it was out on a lot of places for this week.
00:26:51
So that being said, you know, on the agenda Patriot Carole ranking list from pure cane.
00:27:04
Okay, so this'll list was put out today.
00:27:21
The article, um and this is what he had to say.
00:27:32
Uh, basically, from a football perspective, the Patriots have endured a tunnel roster tune of our key positions this offseason, and no departures were substantial and losing.
00:27:44
You know, Tom Brady to take us Dallas to temper band for agency.
00:27:48
Ah, besides Brady, Calvin Oy, Jamie Collins, Danny Shelton, Duron Harmon all up due to free agency.
00:27:57
But that case, But that being said, that creates a lot of cap room and, uh, stereo, um, the, uh, personnel executive to start seen ways that they can get their cap but pages struggling celery Now to find some cap room s so they can lock up some key players down the line with someone and that they might have, um, after losing a lot of the key players from this team.
00:28:30
Ah, pure cane went on to say kind of dolphins.
00:28:34
Yes, on Miami Dolphins, who pretty much were in the talks of taking for to attack of a low last year.
00:28:43
Um, who did, though? Coming into New England, asking about this season and, um, beat the Patriots, Um, on the last pretty much on last minutes drive from Ryan Fitzpatrick.
00:28:59
Um, and that pretty much blows a shocker, obviously, for not only for me as a page griffin, but for Medicaid.
00:29:06
Your fans, um, in which the patriots beat that same exact team we to buy a square, believe of 43 nothing.
00:29:14
And, ah, the last game being said, Page is gonna get by.
00:29:17
And they were out first game this season.
00:29:20
So obviously like that, I was mentioned.
00:29:23
Every game is going to be tough, no matter what the opponent is, because some things are in the mindset that we have nothing to lose.
00:29:33
Some teams, Aaron mind sedative.
00:29:35
You know, we got to play, um, you know, to our ability.
00:29:39
Because if we don't give her a game, stuff like this happens.
00:29:43
So, like I always say, when I placed perceiving myself against teams that might not agree.
00:29:49
Record. I might not be the best.
00:29:51
And, for instance, if my team had, ah, pretty solid record, you know, you know, people will say, Oh, it's just it's just a team of their face.
00:29:58
Well, my mind said is Okay, we're going to give our best for sure and not take any team lightly because, especially in football, they're all veterans.
00:30:10
For many people, there are all veterans.
00:30:12
They are having their playing for their for their jobs, so they're obviously playing at their highest potential that they can, Um, and so pure Cane wants taking the Dolphins really top the Patriots in the East.
00:30:32
Obviously, that's a big question, which I personally don't think that's case.
00:30:37
I think that seem that could relegate if Full can be the other team that I could really see given the Patriots and, uh, you know, fits with on the Bills and the bills.
00:30:49
Obviously, I have spawned dig this off season.
00:30:52
Their head coach is really good.
00:30:54
The head coach of Miami is pretty good at Barn Force, who was a former defense.
00:30:57
According for the Patriots.
00:30:59
Hey led the culture to kind of get somewhere where down one The next couple years they will can be.
00:31:06
I think they will start to compete more made to get Teoh.
00:31:11
They got some offensive line help.
00:31:13
They got Calvin Annoy, a big time player on the Patriots defense.
00:31:18
Um, you know, that line got better.
00:31:20
I think their defense, I think, got better.
00:31:23
They got Byron Jones on who they pay a lot for, but he's a quick learner, so they paid a lot for a lot of guys.
00:31:31
Um, and I think they're starting to seed now with life after Tom Brady for the Patriots, that they're not going to be the I don't see automatic team that won the division, but they were usually all the the high current favor between Bernie Bell. Checked A.
00:31:46
The other teams really are like, When is this ever going to stop? And now with the Patriots? Yes, they have dull check.
00:31:52
Who's arguably in my mind? The greatest.
00:31:55
Um, you know, there's there's obviously other said you can say the greatest, but personally for may know, little biased.
00:32:00
But for sure, I think that will obviously the greatest you know, pages still have build.
00:32:05
I don't know for how many more years has? Obviously, he's he is getting up there, needed and, um, But I think with that being said, I think as long bills there, I think that Patriots still should be in the next.
00:32:17
Always compete division for sure.
00:32:21
Um, and that from in terms of going to the playoffs, making some deep runs with the likes of the Brady, it's obviously not gonna be the same for sure.
00:32:30
Um, but maybe there could be peace in noiseless from Seasons online, but we'll have to see about that.
00:32:43
So Peter King's ****ysts pretty much said the page based He put the pictures.
00:32:52
Um, I wasn't as high on the paper, says other experts.
00:32:56
He placed them in 21st in his new power rankings, pretty much sitting that their views on the 133rd pick of the 2019 draft.
00:33:04
George did, um, are good.
00:33:05
But the shadow of the 199th pick in 2000 which who was obviously Tom Brady, always be a long one for anyone who plays quarterback in New England.
00:33:14
There is no book on stadium.
00:33:16
A tough kid will not be afraid of the hot seat, but his gold is to keep New England and games and leave the page to the decision to make on a quarterback in the 2021 tract.
00:33:26
Whatever happens America will be watching for the final nine games will be prime time for the Patriots.
00:33:33
I think this season breaks the pages.
00:33:34
11 year string trains hold on the issues, but I'm pretty sure everyone in the building let's rubber faces productions and not the great motive.
00:33:42
Air So king, right to the Page.
00:33:44
80 East rise higher.
00:33:47
Lose to the Bills.
00:33:48
The Miami Dolphins theon makers still believe the Patriots from draftkings through the Patriots believe sponsor with sport books has New England at minus 1 77 hours make the playoffs, and ah, there also, in addition to being slight behind fair, it's to the Bills.
00:34:03
Today, it's the East title lots.
00:34:06
Um, transition from Brady system will obviously be challenging, no doubt, but the pages still should be a playoff contender next year.
00:34:12
They have a roster low, talented veterans to bring ton of championship experience as well as a head best psychos in league history and Bill Belcher so like that.
00:34:24
With that being said, I do.
00:34:28
I don't I don't agree with this.
00:34:29
Anil it ****ysis with the dolphins being there because I didn't think the dolphins have at least a couple more years.
00:34:36
Yes, I think they're starting, I think.
00:34:38
I think at least for this year, um, with hopefully there being a season, I do think that they're going to start you, uh, you know, not be like the chiefs of the Ravens.
00:34:50
Good, but maybe starts creeping to need where the builder, Maybe last year.
00:34:55
Um, because there's one of you explain it, express my my called X expanded playoffs.
00:35:04
Um, the new C B A rules.
00:35:05
So that means that there's only one representative from each conference, and there's gonna be 33 game match ups, um, for the wild card, which will lead into division and then from championship Super Bowl that, uh, you know, that being said out from there? I also wanted to get into what Calvin noise said you had some words regarding the Patriots and Dolphins comparisons.
00:35:41
So let's hear about that.
00:35:52
So called Vanoy, um, was a really well known player compatriots in Foxboro.
00:36:01
Um, he was a player that in Detroit, I didn't get a lot of recognition because, you know, people didn't think he was that good enough.
00:36:13
Um, and obvious.
00:36:15
E What one thing the Patriots do really well with is turning players that are, Ah, no players that coaches complete that they have a nail, the other potential in them.
00:36:31
Look at a guy like Chris Hogan.
00:36:33
Chris SoGen, a guy that, uh, not many people give a lot of recognition with.
00:36:43
From the Buffalo Bills goes over the Patriots.
00:36:46
There's a two touchdown game, the NFC title game, one year against the Pittsburgh Steelers and everybody not pretty much talks about, um, not a ton of people, but people Can you hear the name? Oh, crystalline yeah, from for the patriots, right? Yeah. Yeah.
00:37:03
Wide receiver, right? Yeah.
00:37:05
And so called.
00:37:07
And I was kind of one.
00:37:08
Those players that, um you know, he made a lot of big plays, but now he's He got a big contracts from the dolphins.
00:37:17
Move all that being desert for sure.
00:37:20
He's known Miami and had some words to say about his former team.
00:37:33
He said this three days ago.
00:37:36
He basically said to the pagers comparisons, we our own scene.
00:37:43
Um, this car tear apart.
00:37:46
I'll wrote this and he said You could call the Miami Dolphins box for South.
00:37:51
Just don't call them that in front of Kalabane Oy.
00:37:53
The veteran linebacker is one of the four former New England Patriots who signed with the Dolphins this offseason, joining Phil Linebackers UH, Landon Roberts, who was a key component last year because he filled the void at full back when James Devlin got hurt and helped Sony Michelle create some running room towards the end of season.
00:38:16
Remove grip Gruber Hill, who was kind of more, uh, practice squad player and obviously, center contact.
00:38:23
Caress.
00:38:24
Join the Patriots joint.
00:38:26
Joined the doctor from the Patriots, Um, this this offseason as well.
00:38:30
And caress was a guy who was a starting center last year to do to David Andrews being out last year with blood clots.
00:38:37
So and another thing, too, is like I mentioned, um, Brian Floors is an expatriate coach, so he obviously has a lot of, um, uh, he knows a lot about the Patriots and a lot of players with them and trying to see that they can bring some players from there from there for the paper sticking over to their taking as well.
00:38:58
Those alliance who now have let me saying Trey Flowers, Duron, Harmon, um, Jamie Collins during Shelton and, obviously, map.
00:39:09
Patricia, who was a former defensive corner of the Patriots head coach there now, like Brian Floors, is in Miami.
00:39:15
He has a lot of major players, that defense as well.
00:39:18
So there's a certain you know there's a certain way that they can get players in the off season.
00:39:26
I won't that will definitely relate to their times.
00:39:30
Um, so Vanoy apparel is growing tired of those who believe the Dolphins are trying to replicate the painted model of success.
00:39:39
I don't know how many New England guys there are, but we're going to get away from that talking, he told them.
00:39:46
I'm Harold out of BC in a recent interview, pretty much saying that we're not going to be the same type of culture that New England this we're gonna be our own culture.
00:39:55
We're going to do things we want to do our own way on or our own team.
00:40:00
This is not the New England Patriots.
00:40:02
This is the Miami Dolphins.
00:40:04
It's totally different, and I'm excited for that nudie.
00:40:06
Then it's no like I mentioned earlier, and my episode, the podcast in Denmark.
00:40:12
Or does he? Every single Sunday, or from usually eight o'clock tonight for about an hour and asking questions.
00:40:22
And there's a certain out called the Fairground pretty much you down on the fan threw it up and then, ah, there's a something called double coverage of them.
00:40:30
According twins.
00:40:31
You clicked on that.
00:40:33
I'm usually the late the episode that's airing on live, and there is a bottom green button on the bottom.
00:40:40
I hated quarter called Van Line, and you click on that.
00:40:43
You can ask them questions.
00:40:45
Ah, producer will get.
00:40:46
We get you on backstage and can ask some questions, Um, on there.
00:40:50
So, um and also with you on the banker, it up on your lesson in.
00:40:55
They also stated about wears a day.
00:40:56
You can connect with them as well, anyway.
00:41:00
Usually in that podcast they bring guests on and what the first times ever go.
00:41:04
I went on to look toe watch that McCord's podcast Jason McCourty he had called an oia.
00:41:12
Obviously, there were a great team mates together because they were gone, but they're all on the defense.
00:41:16
And, uh, you know, Devon and Jason were saying how much they are gonna miss tile on defense for sure.
00:41:24
Still, really like cows? Well, a defense made a lot of big time plays.
00:41:28
They asked how about his transition and saying that, You know, obviously no one lives in a hold a special place in my heart.
00:41:35
It's a lot of people doing one, because the one is a very good competitive culture for, I mean for many, many different reasons.
00:41:44
Um, it's a football town.
00:41:47
I would consider New England a football town.
00:41:49
It's just just one of those places where they've had so much success.
00:41:53
And obviously it's not going to stand success like before, but obviously be very fortunate and a za fan of how much we've had success with the team.
00:42:02
But regarding the fact that Vanoy lets the Patriots with a couple of rooms himself and, um, now he pretty much is saying that he wants new change, which is obviously understandable.
00:42:15
He has a contract, and she's very for new new beginning.
00:42:19
New challenge? No, um, pretty much you want to say where the Miami Dolphins, we're here to represent the people of Miami, you know they want it bad.
00:42:29
I consents environment before all town.
00:42:32
I'm gonna go into that quickly after I take a quick sector.
00:42:39
I do agree with that.
00:42:43
Miami being a football town.
00:42:45
Do you buy ivory that Florida is a big football state? Yes.
00:42:50
While the Southern states, for sure.
00:42:52
Big football, competitively high school, college.
00:42:56
Um, do I think when I talk about the man Miami Falcon, I brought the boffins? Uh, my part is being a football town.
00:43:07
Um, well, I just think, really is at a Southern beachy, a place where people just enjoy the life down Their party's seen everything like that.
00:43:21
The University of Miami football college team, where I think the Dolphins also play their same games.
00:43:26
They're hard rock steady. Miami.
00:43:29
They're pretty good team.
00:43:30
They found the past.
00:43:33
Do I think that he had been overall great basketball time? Army? I mean, some years, some years, Obviously, they had LeBron one of the best one of the best players ever in the n B A.
00:43:45
They had doing weight and Ray Allen and Chris Bosch And you don't It's as, um, a lot of well known type players there.
00:43:54
Marlins.
00:43:55
I don't see them as a baseball town.
00:43:58
Yeah, I had that one World Series against the Yankees.
00:44:02
Uh, but they haven't had really much success for a long time.
00:44:07
Um, so I mean, do I think the dolphins are a football town? I don't know.
00:44:18
You just one.
00:44:19
He has a sense that they will be because their cultures started turned.
00:44:23
I give him credit for that.
00:44:24
I think it.
00:44:25
I think they are getting into a certain culture area with that team, for sure.
00:44:30
And now, having to attack of a low, who? Yes, he He was dead of a lot of their time receivers.
00:44:37
I pretty much four of the wider serious, he added, We're gonna be first round two of them to me with Henry rubs and I think Turkey duty to those being on this top four out of a stop for two of them being some of the best for Sears that he's ever had Alabama because they're recurring so good, their main a football school.
00:45:06
And then they have still Jalen Waddell and Devante Smith, who have another year of eligibility with the Crimson Tide.
00:45:12
They're gonna be two first round picks the next year's drop.
00:45:16
So you know two hours that's figure out is gonna be worth their time and worth worth the hype down in Miami.
00:45:28
But I think the Dolphins have desperately needed a quarterback.
00:45:31
Or so Mommy, the best quarterback that they've has obviously been Dan, Ric, Dan Marino.
00:45:38
And I don't think the fans, When he was saying there are a football town, I don't I mean, I can really relate at this point cause I finally see much of it at all.
00:45:48
But I don't really remember them being owe.
00:45:50
You know, we were we as the Dolphins we wanted, um, really, you know, hope that Marino would do so well down there and get some of success for our football team program.
00:46:04
I mean, I think there might have been some of it, but, you know, I plead for sure, like a team like the Packers, with bright, far like, you know, the Packers were willing to fans.
00:46:15
They have a lot of good fans are and the, you know they are used to give farm huge, huge ovation when it gotten doctor the Packers Hall of Fame a while back so that being said, I think that will be get into the 45 minute mark.
00:46:35
A bill that passed that for now.
00:46:37
Um, just to wrap things up, Um, So I got a couple more minutes left to You're gonna try to get to that our market thing for sure.
00:46:46
Um, and you guys were warning about the contractor of Calvin Oy.
00:46:53
It was a four year, $51 million contracts.
00:46:58
So let me just quickly wants to some much meets, see if there's anything, um, on you too.
00:47:09
Maybe not. Maybe a video.
00:47:11
I can show you guys before I, uh, complete for tonight.
00:47:23
Let's take a look here.
00:47:27
So for those who are just joining me, um, what I did talk about tonight Waas a little bit of the the lease and kind of taking a step back with, really, it's black lives matter and what we're going through a world with all the protests and fuse peaceful protest is the most part, which is obviously understandable for sure.
00:47:49
And the race system that our world is really suffering.
00:47:52
I'm going to kind of send a message, a little bit of a message for my own sake on here, um, with obviously myself not being after American, but for me, standing up for a lot of the African Americans who work Don't really tough times.
00:48:05
And, you know, the passing of George Boyd, you know, you united and for this family and many people, Um, but I've seen just spread in love and giving backs, people showing people that they're respected and that they belong with you.
00:48:23
And, um, your friendships.
00:48:26
Um, no matter what race you are, it's It's the people.
00:48:30
Ah, you know, they're obviously supposed to be treated the same way.
00:48:34
And and, uh, you know, what I'm trying to say is just giving back and spreading love.
00:48:40
See people, especially in the black community, where they need it badly.
00:48:44
Um, So people like me in a couple a lot of people that are not African American are spreading.
00:48:50
Looks like being in a lot of NFL.
00:48:52
Another athletes regarding even African American athletes are spreading love on social media because I know so cliche to say, but it's really big in this part.
00:49:02
We're really on this together for sure.
00:49:06
Excuse me.
00:49:09
So I talked about that.
00:49:11
I talked about the evidence, the memos the tweet from out of sector about how training camps are going to be now, how that their own facilities for the teams that didn't have that don't have a training camp at their own facilities normally.
00:49:27
But regarding the Koven and all the situations that are going on, the teams are gonna be having to be state.
00:49:33
Put their Some teams that, um, already announced that day usually get rid of one at a state place for training camp.
00:49:43
And they announced that they're not going to be doing that this year.
00:49:46
Talked about McCord. He's dead.
00:49:48
McCaughrean just McCourty about their podcasts a little bit, as well as the unfortunate passing of the baby that Devon and his wife was supposed to have send my condolences for them and their family.
00:50:01
Tough, tough, tough news.
00:50:03
And then the Patriots for the statement, they released a statement with the Kraft of Kraft organization.
00:50:09
Um, we're going away.
00:50:11
You know all that stuff news that's been going on lately? Car in the world.
00:50:15
Um, and what other other sports leagues for sure.
00:50:20
Having staying stuff as well.
00:50:22
Um pages, power listing.
00:50:24
Power ranking listing from Peter Caine.
00:50:28
Oh, I forgot about this.
00:50:32
I think I have a couple more minutes that, um, I'm into my offense.
00:50:37
Roster protection Next Tuesday on Tuesday Pages episode Aiming to my defense is Ross production.
00:50:44
So that being said, I'm going to get into my own projection at off into the Patriots this coming season.
00:50:51
So, quarterback, let's start.
00:50:54
Quarterback Jared stood in my things gonna be obviously the number one quarterback Brian Hard to meet the backup Jamaar Smith. Grind the work.
00:51:01
You're gonna have Philly with last two spots for the undrafted quarterback.
00:51:04
The pager town problem.
00:51:05
This year's graft.
00:51:07
I do think one's going to cut from training camp, which usually that's case because they usually only whole three.
00:51:13
So I've seen a lot to find out who that who that is for sure.
00:51:18
Running back.
00:51:20
Holden's gonna be there for special teams because burnable has been kind of that that back for sure.
00:51:27
So sorry.
00:51:28
Michelle Rex Burkhead, James White.
00:51:32
The running backs pretty much or set Jamie Harris, who hasn't been used a lot, but he's probably be on there as well.
00:51:39
Now, receivers, that's going be interesting to see anything.
00:51:42
Locks for me, Julie Nadelmann, McKeel Harry Mohammed Sunu, uh, the ones that are kind of going to kind of the bottle, I think from your Jacoby Meyers.
00:51:53
Ah, Marqise Lee who? They added.
00:51:56
I want to see what they haven't him because he's that injury problems.
00:51:58
But they think he could be, ah, low risk, however, work I player, um so Lee Myers and Gunnar All Cesky, who I think they will keep because he was a big part and keeping element off the special teams and punt return and Sanou as well, who came in a distant punt punt returner.
00:52:18
Metro just got her last year for the year, and that's a new got hurt.
00:52:22
He wasn't the same type of receiver after he got her in that field offi game to be before against the Baltimore Ravens.
00:52:28
He had 10 catches with Brady when I got my ankle surgery this offseason, and I was gonna be fun for this coming year, hopefully outside in.
00:52:45
I'm sure the big struggle last year, Um, I do think either Matt, look, I don't about Matt because I do think maybe Ryan is a might get cut.
00:52:57
They got a Dalton, King and Devon, Aussie Aussie of the draft this year, and they're probably use them quite a bit this year.
00:53:04
See what they have potential wise.
00:53:06
Uh, but I do think Lacoste is It was gonna be there because they were in the system last year and they couldn't just run around, do some routes.
00:53:14
Maybe cups, Um, certain connection with ah young guy in Jared Stadium.
00:53:19
And who Tom Brady just said No time to wait it out for us.
00:53:24
Um, tight ends that are not not taking anything away from from men.
00:53:29
Lacoste Ryan is Oh, but after Brady was with such a great weapon and safety blanket across the middle of field and Rob Gronkowski, who not only can just make plays like, you know, like nobody else can, but he just gives that other mismatches for our receivers.
00:53:47
And really, this past year, you know Julian Edelman who are about to death, but he got so much beatings I received because teams were just double teaming him.
00:53:56
Knowing that that's pretty much brings only option.
00:53:58
If he's the only one out there that he trusts in the field with besides James, wait at running back.
00:54:04
So I got to the quarterbacks got through the running backs.
00:54:07
Definite finance, my starting tackles and guards.
00:54:12
My started offensively.
00:54:15
I left tackle Isaiah when it's pretty much the same of last year.
00:54:18
They went left tackle off large engine sounder David Andrews, who's coming back now.
00:54:25
Full strength, right guard shack, Mason and right tackle Mark Skin missing any position on the offense.
00:54:39
Fullback Dan Vettel, who Patriots got after the retirement of James Dumb, who will be missed a lot because, you know, he was kind of that guy who was very big and strong and feisty, you know, made a lot of unknown.
00:54:55
Um, selfish place was really just guy out there that does.
00:55:00
Everybody loves a great contributor for sure, for the team for so long on life, Super Bowls and the next sector.
00:55:08
And I kind of saw from that Seem, especially the running game created a lot of holes and stuff like that.
00:55:13
So Dan Natalja copy Johnson.
00:55:15
I thinks to be their backup for short fullback.
00:55:17
A lot to see about that, so I think that will be it free.

00:00:22

00:55:21
Muscling up to five in the market for the top of the hour on a SportsCastr.
00:55:27

00:58:30

00:58:48
