All right, you guys, What's going on? It's your boy, Brad.
Back at it again with another broadcast.
Now, today I will be broadcasting for you guys.
Um episode free of the N B.
A draft, um, biggest skills breakdown.
I know that the syriza called that there's not a series for it, but with that being said, this will be the third video that I've been doing off breaking down of some of these envy.
A draft prospects such as Lemelle a ball.
Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman Right here, um, Nick Romanians, the Arizona point guard, Tyree's Maxie out of Kentucky.
Just a few other guys like that that are breaking down later.
Kili and hes overseas.
So it makes you guess Stay tuned for that.
It's going to be very exciting for you guys.
It's exciting to research about these guys that I didn't know a lot about before.
But with that being said, let's go to get into it.
So give us a quick intro on James Wiseman, and then we will break down five different skills, Um, instead of Anthony Edwards and available because centers obviously most centers aren't going to shoot well, so you really don't need to include that.
Most point guards and shooting guards don't rebound as well, but I don't block is well, so I'm just doing different skills for centers, then, um, different skills for centers, different skills for point guard and shooting large and kind of a combination for a small forward and power forward, because most small forwards and power forwards can do it all, basically.
So I'll be getting into that in just a minute.
But the skills that I will be breaking down for James Wiseman is his rebounding, his scoring, this blocking, blocking shots, his defense and finally, his physical for file.
Or if it physical attributes, whatever you wanna call it.
So with that being said, uh, James Wiseman is obviously the most intriguing draft prospect in this N b A draft class.
Onley played three games this season, and I was because he was suspended, um, by the NC double because of his family illegally accepting funds while Wiseman was still in high school.
Which sounds a lot some something that yes works would do paid a win games change.
Wiseman was kind of getting paid toe win in a certain aspect of his family accepting this funds.
But in his 1st 3 games, James Wiseman looked like he'd have a college basketball season for the age is kind of like how Sion Williamson did last year or whoever else you want to name.
Ah, Steph Curry's magical breakout year, a Davidson in his junior year, just really any of those, um, seasons.
I mean, James wasn't looked like he'd have a great season, um, as well this past season, but it was cut short by the suspension thanki for Wolverine Girl Ash joining the broadcast.
Um, Wiseman quickly averaged 19.
7 points per game in college for a year in college, um, along with 10.
7 rebounds for game in 3.
1 blocks per game, which are pretty solid numbers.
If only he could have kept them up for the rest of the season if he actually played the rest of season.
I mean, if you were to average a double double along with three blocks per game for the whole season, definitely the number one overall pick, that's a pretty pretty, pretty good stat line.
Ah, in my honest opinion.
But because of the lack of film of Wiseman a college Wiseman's envy.
A draft stock has taken a hit, but like I said, anyone who's averaged a double double in college has a great shot at succeeding in the n B A.
The six foot 9 19 year old has the intangibles to succeed in the N Va.
I got a great I Q.
Great size for center.
He's got a pretty great weeks, man.
What I'm getting into in a second, Um, but here is how I graded James Watson's biggest steel is entering the n B. A draft.
So, um, but that being said, Well, look, it is rebounding.
So his rebounding is where his wingspan really helps him out.
Um, is rebounding is an A plus for May, and since he has such a pretty long wingspan, it's gives him a very unfair advantage.
Um, for him, Teoh, you know, get rebounds for him.
Just just sweep up easy rebounds over opposing centers.
Thank you for the follow.
I appreciate that.
Um, but James Wiseman does have a skill that many other centres struggle with.
He's a great rebounder on both ends of the floor.
Um, now, statistically, he is a better defensive rebounder and he is an offensive rebounder, which most centers are.
But I mean, he can average for he ever just four rebounds a game, four offensive rebounds, a game, six defense rebounds a game.
Those are pretty solid numbers, regardless.
I mean, I know some MBA players that can only average four rebounds total in a game, So James Watson is a pretty great rebounding center.
Now Jim's Wiseman does have reported nine, um, foot or knife.
Um, he has a nine foot five standing reach, which is by far the best in the N B A.
That's kinda like your vertical jump, Um, but that was by far the best in college by any other center.
Um, which does give him great skills to be either ah, great rim protector in the n B A with his defensive rebounding skills or if it were an offensive rebound, or somebody who can clean up plays off the glass if it's a Miss three point shot.
If it's an Al Yoob.
James Westman succeeds with rebounds whenever they were incorporated on the offensive or defensive side of the ball, Um, but really, Wiseman's length and his athleticism just makes him a great rebounder.
There's not a lot of there's not a whole lot of great rebounding big men in this draft class.
James Wiseman is one of the few, and you can go back to his days of high school, um, where he was just dominating for rebounding wise, Um, it was it even fair to the other centers that had a rebounding chance.
Their chance was slim to none.
Um, James Wiseman.
It's just not gonna rebounding center, I guess.
There's not much else to say about that.
But Cleaves Wiseman can death or contribute offensively and defensively as a rebounder.
Both centers can only do it defensively.
Uh, for example.
Juel, indeed, is a great rebounding center defensively.
Offensively, it's a little bit harder because Ben Simmons and whoever else clogs up the paint offensively.
So if James Wiseman, yes, it gets drafted onto a team like the 76 years where there's somebody else on your team that's competing with you and the pain offensively, Jim's Wiseman defensively will still be a great rebounder.
Um, so you already got rebounding out of the way.
She's pretty good.
Now it's scoring is the next one, so this is basically all offense, just all of it.
Incorporated in the war.
Um, not passing.
I mean, senators using are asked to do that.
Besides nickel Yokich of the Nuggets, That man is a walking triple double.
Uh, let me tell you.
But James Wiseman scoring is a C minus for May.
Now Wiseman does have a lack of shooting at the three point line and also the lack of post offense, which means just being able to work in the paint.
Whether that's layoffs, going one on one, trying to hit the post fadeaway hook that Dirk Nowitzki is famous for.
Um, that's why this keeps up.
That's why this rating is so low.
Um, Wiseman has loads of potential to be a great shooting center, but he struggled beyond the arc in college, against teams such as South Carolina State and you. I see.
I don't even know you.
I c stands for I just wrote it down.
Um, and that's where Wiseman should have been dominating, right? Uh, thank you for less.
Is Morrison joining the broadcast? But in college, James Wi***** couldn't even make one free planner in his 90 plus minutes in the script.
That's definitely a concern for MBA scouts.
Um, just not even being able to get a free.
I mean, I guess we should be thankful for long their ball who can actually hit freeze? Um, me.
At least you can hit them where you have a Gala James Wiseman who can't hit a free to save his life.
But, um, James Wiseman does have loads of potential to be a great shooter, first off his form.
Now his form is very silk for Sochi.
Um, it's very smooth, and that's really what makes it a player, a great shooter and a player, a knocker, it shooter.
It's the form that they use.
And I really think that, um, Wiseman's form will definitely help him in the n b A.
Because you have guys like Lonzo Ball.
What? He was out of college with U C L. A.
His form was bad, and that's why he wasn't making shots.
But in the n b A.
He fixed his form, and now he's hitting buckets of three pointers, just draining them down the hatch.
And it's just crazy, like we never thought this would happen but it's happened because he's put in the work.
Same thing for Wiseman Onley.
He doesn't have to change his form on his brief grows.
I mean, he's hit 80%.
Um, in three years of high school, three out of the four minuses freshman year, he had 80% from a line and then in college, 75% in his 1st 3 games because that his form now his form reminds me of Chris Bosh is form when he was with the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors.
If you could just go.
If Wiseman congrats, comfortable.
We're shooting the three pointer like he does shooting a free throw.
And James Wiser will be a great shooting center.
Um, no questions about it, But with that being said, let's go to his post.
Go to his post offense, right? Um, that's not going to be as easy to us to fix.
Wiseman lacks strength and awareness in the post, which makes his offense very one dimensional, especially the fact that he can't shoot.
I mean, teams are going to have to double team him and worry about him making a big play, um, to either find somebody else open in the corner where they get an easy dunk.
I mean, Wiseman's going to struggle offensively a lot, Um, with whoever he gets drafted by.
I mean, there's not going to be a team that's going to be a great fit for Wiseman because we don't know how he fits with a team we only have limited experience with.
Watching him of Memphis and Memphis is a pretty solid team against back competition.
So it's going to be even harder to know whether Wiseman should be put in the pain or if you should be put in space.
We don't know, um, but this post offense and a shooting will be a liability for teams that might draft in in the end, a draft.
So it's going to be interesting.
You want to be very interesting on weather teams.
You take a shot with him with the top five top 10 even a top three pick.
It's going to be very interesting now with that being said, well, look at our third skill and that's blocking now, blocking shots not being blocked, it's blocking shots on the defense side of the ball.
If there wasn't a word for the league's best blocking center, James Wiseman would have wanted unanimously.
Wiseman average 3.
1 blocks for game, the most in college basketball.
Of course, Wiseman's blocking highlights both the good and Nevada's game.
Wiseman is a very undisciplined blocker, which leads him to picking up Easy, which leads opposing centers to pick up easy vowels or easy and ones in the paint.
So he bites bad on the pump fake, which could be a very, you know, big liability, especially with elite centers in today's NB A, such as Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis and soon to be banned out of bio as they all loved.
Where they off drive on the pump, fake in the paint so James Wise was going to need to work on his pump fake defense.
But I mean, other than that James Wiseman does a great blocker.
Now, most of his struggles come went with when he's biting on the pump fix.
Whenever it's in, the pick and roll were smaller, more agile guards take advantage of Wiseman size and speed that honestly happens in the n. B. A.
We see some of the best ankle breakers in the N va court Corsi of Stephan Curry and Chris Paul with big guys like Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol, Um, Blake Griffin, less agile guys in the point guards, um, just taking advantages of their weakness and exposing it.
So smart Centres are going to do just that with James Wiseman's blocking skills.
But I still think it's a solid B plus for May um, he's a great blocker whenever you know the balls up in the air.
But whenever he gets faked out, it's all over on the defense side of the ball, for sure.
Okay, so so far we have rebounding, which is an A plus, scoring, which is a C minus and blocking, which is a B plus.
So our second to last skill is defense.
This is just overall defense steals blocks included, Um, just the way that they helped out fellow teammates on the defense's side of the ball.
So I gave that a B minus for James Wiseman.
I mean, there's not too much to hate on with his defense.
We've already established how good of a blocker, um, Jame James Wiseman is, but James Watson still finds different ways to contribute on the defensive side of the ball, right uh Wiseman's Defense of Box Plus minus was 4.
9, the highest in the A C and Wiseman's block percentage with 13.
6 was awful at the A a C.
That's the all American Conference.
Um, now Wiseman led both of these stats despite having a usage rate of 29.1.
So basically what this means is James Wiseman was very, very effective with whatever he did on defense.
Whether that was in the pick and roll, whether that was blocking shots.
Um, James Wiseman was very efficient for the most far. Defensively.
Thank you for Sean.
Goes the Portland join the broadcast.
I appreciate that, man.
Um, finally, his physical profile.
So the 19 year old, he's already six foot nine.
Um, you might need to put on a little bit of weight so he doesn't get bullied as much as he did in college in the paint because some senators were so strong that they will just body you in the paint if you're right enough and we kind of established at with Lemelle a ball, how he's very undersized.
He needs to put on more weight for just guarding bigger guards like Ben Simmons and whoever else, right? So James Wiseman will need to get bigger, but him being six foot nine does give him a lot of optimism with his rebounding skills.
So I definitely think that his physical attributes physical profile is definitely a solid B for me.
But, I mean, that's really it.
James Wiseman is a very, very intriguing player.
Maybe he turns out to be the premier center in the N b A.
And a couple of years.
Or maybe he becomes a big bust.
We haven't seen enough film for teams to be comfortable drafting him.
But despite that, teams with, um, Senator needs are still going to take a shot at, um, the former Memphis star.
So thank you guys so much for watching.
I hope you guys enjoyed this broadcast.
Um, and I'll give you guys a quick recap of his skills.
So his rebounding was an A plus.
This scoring was a C minus.
Was blocking was a B plus.
Um, his defense was a B minus and his physical profile was a beef.
So all around James Liza is pretty good.
He had an above average stat and rebounding below average in scoring.
But other than that, I mean pretty solid center.
In my opinion, is he worth a top five pick? I don't know.
Is you work a tough re pick? I don't think anybody knows.
Um, but we'll definitely see who takes him in the draft draft lotteries in a couple of weeks where we'll see the order.
And if it seemed like I don't have the Cavaliers need a big man.
Andre Drummond is not getting younger by any means.
They need a center.
James Wiseman could be the number one overall pick, Depending, will have a lottery unfolds.
He could be the number fifth overall pick.
We just don't know.
But with that being said, thank you guys.
So much for watching.
I hope you guys enjoyed this broadcast.
Um, more videos like this will be coming out very soon.
Make sure to keep gone.
Number one guys in peace, out.
