and and where they're being taken in dress at the moment.
So as soon as the J D hops in here with us, we'll get started up.
What's going on? J d.
How you doing in that moment? Doing alright? How are we doing, Kevin? You advance tastic, buddy, huh? Like I said before, before Jenny, hop down, We're going to break down sports dot com.
We're gonna become an action that was in college football.
Talk specifically with quarterbacks where they are being taken in drafts and what our thoughts on that.
So whether they're taking to high taking too low, what we're gonna do is we're breaking down round by round.
And, uh, it's gonna have, like, a little round table discussion on it and give a few shoutouts while we're in here.
So, uh, trucks that my name is Kevin.
You can find me on Twitter at K hooking and, uh, also qualifies fall along with us at the breakdown sports dot com at the breakdown on Twitter and JD introduces, several have No that kind yet.
You have a sub uh, JD, find me on Twitter at Yonkers 805 Uh, last name Janki y one kg.
Um, pretty new here to the team.
Some excited to get started talking college football.
I got a mock draft up on my Twitter.
You can expect to see me talking a lot of college football.
Love fantasy, break down.
Got a long off season hoping that we get football in general and that brings up a good point.
We have nothing confirmed or or either way good or bad.
So for me, as a fancy football diehard, I am preparing as if it's starting Labor Day weekend.
Just like every other year JD's knew at one of our newest members on the team specifically covering college football and vanity football.
So we're not gonna spend a ton of time did not hear of, probably gonna try together in about 30 minutes or so.
So we're gonna jump right in.
What we're gonna do is we're going to go round by round with quarterbacks, and we were.
I was a part of an industry Best ball draft.
11 participants, 26 men, rosters, best bus, a little bit different beasts than regular redraft fantasy.
So they were much deeper rosters than unusual.
Two quarterbacks to running backs three wide receivers Todd and Flex and to flex Excuse me, a defense that is including the kicker inside the defense, so we don't have an actual kicker position.
But the kicker is part of the defense of special teams.
We will probably do four or five of these of these videos covered each position group probably quarterbacks, then running backs, wide receivers, tight ends and defense's and then probably an overall before our next best ball draft, which will be you sometime in this month of June.
22nd is when it's coming up.
So without taking any more times 80 room, get starter menu. Red Rock.
Yeah, let's roll.
All right, so in the first round, we had three quarterbacks taken.
It was Justin Fields at 103 Sam a longer at 105 Sam hails a bit of a surprise, but somehow going in the first round, he's gonna go in the first round in the vast majority of drafts that you guys do.
Uh, he just got way too much upside.
So anything that you want to toe John between fields a longer and how JD, uh, I mean feels an alligator pretty straightforward.
I mean, there gonna be first rounders.
They're probably gonna be top five.
Calendar might be 67 or eight full of guys. Pretty straightforward.
And I think we know why.
They're they're sure they're anything That's Russians.
That, um how old? Interesting.
Um, is definitely, in my opinion, a drop since the 1st 2 He's got tremendous upside, I think is why he's there.
Um, but there's a chance of some draft will be in the second round, and I think that be it feels she's gonna be fun.
Got to great receivers.
He could have a huge year.
Um, his Russian size Not quite where the other guys are, uh, get a few rushing touchdowns last year.
But he's not gonna fill up that sheet rushing wind, which you usually look for in a first round quarterback.
So I think you got to kind of be in love with marriage.
You know, you got Fields with 3200 passing yards, 41 touchdowns on the season through the air, another just shot 510 touchdowns on the ground.
So 500 restaurants and 10 touchdowns, which 510 is a really good mark.
It's a mark that most people probably thought they would.
It would be higher for Fields going into this season last year, but still, you get an extra 500 yard rushing yards and 10 touchdowns out of Ah, 41 touchdown.
You're pretty happy with that.
So it makes perfect sense like it goes. One.
Sam a longer is not number three quarterback going into this season, but I can.
I can totally understand why he's going second off the board.
Shout out to my man, Chris Kate out there.
It went back and forth on Ah, why have L Number three and Rattler at two? And we'll get to rather here in a second biggest thing for me with a longer 3600 passing yards, 32 touchdowns.
Last year, he had 600 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.
Now, any other year, you're pretty stoked about get about getting that out of your quarterback.
The only thing that makes me not as how name is.
The year before, he had 480 16 touchdowns, they seemed to really save him on the goal line a lot and me being a big Texas fan.
I totally understand that because Texas at the point where they're not just tryingto win six and seven games anymore, you know, they flipped that here for the past decade.
It's been a pretty big struggle.
So they were saving him on the Golan last year.
And it's it's yet to be seen how they're going to really, uh, using this year around the goal line.
Whether it's more Chiat, the Ingram Weddington, um, and then be John Rob Robinson, the true freshman coming in now, Sam, how for sure is a little high for me.
Uh, he's definitely high for me, considering that the guys that were that were sitting out there still available and with that being said, You know, Sam, how it doesn't have a lot of brushing, Like J.
D said, that doesn't rushed the ball a lot.
I know it's in his skill set because that was definitely a skill set in high school.
He's a big body, dude, you would think that use a little more and go line, but they just they just didn't really happen.
Need you last year to do that in the second round at 20 to be had Spencer Rattler and then the Air King at 203 All right, that was only two quarterbacks taken in the second round.
Now, to give everybody a little bit of, ah, background on this draft, we have done a another draft in April.
To where there was a vast change in how fast quarterbacks went off the board.
So there was seven in the 1st 3 rounds, what, six in the 1st 3 rounds, seven in the 1st 4 rounds toe where there was something around 17 taken in the 1st 4 rounds, the in the previous drafts.
So ah, lot of people decided to wait on quarterback in this draft, which is exactly what I did and what will cover that, you know, a little bit later on, Um, so again, we had Radler endear King in the second round.
He's my number two guy.
He's if if I'm in the middle of the first round somewhere and those Big three running backs are gone and no, with A T and Paterson and ah and Hubbard, then there's no way that I pass on rather even if Sam Melander, still on the on the tape on the table on the board, I'm still taking rather, for the simple fact is it's scoring opportunities.
Oklahoma moves the ball so much better than Texas does, even if they don't have the even.
If Rather doesn't have that.
Ah, 1015 cuts down upside.
You know that that j on hurts at and that that 1008 touchdown upside that collar Murray had they're going to be inside the Tony and inside the 10 so many more times than Texas is going to be.
And for me, that gives him the opportunity and shout out to To my man at the at the CFF sat Joe, He, uh he brought up a point on one of his, uh, you know, video Bob casts.
I guess what you want to call that Lincoln Riley, even back to the EU days has has yet to have ah, quarterback start for him.
That said, less than seven Russian touching touchdowns.
So I think that you're going to get seven ish touchdowns at a wrapper on the ground and at that firm evolves him up into that second spot without question.
I don't even think twice about it.
So in that second round between Rather and Dear King going in the top, pick two and three in the second round.
What your what? Your thoughts on those JD I mean, there can't be a bigger difference in back to back picks.
In my opinion, she's a rattler like you are.
I'm came at all this year.
I mean, a my on he's good quarterback has a lot of potential, but as opposed to a guy like rattler Or you know how well Ford within about five picks? Um, I don't think it's all that close.
I'm with you on rather obviously huge upside track record for Oklahoma Q B huge recruit all the scoring opportunity, but not seems to be that he's probably not gonna run as much.
Um, but like you said, they're gonna add scoring opportunities.
He seems mobile enough or he's gonna get some on the legs.
It's not gonna be a zero there, so I'm definitely on Rather, um, I think Did you get rather in the second round? You're celebrating for sure.
I don't think going forward.
Yeah, in the in the third around.
The only quarterback taken was Jamie Newman, and this was the only quarterback in the 1st 3 rounds that I actually had issue with.
I'm completely out on Jamie Newman this year.
I have him on a dynasty team, and I wish I did not.
You know, if he would have to stay with Wake Forest.
To me, he's a first round top, the second round guy. Easy.
Georgia just is a black hole for fantasy production, and I'm talking at the running back position and I'm coming at the wide receiver position.
All of, uh, running backs.
That's always a running back by committee.
You're going to get 1000 and 10.
But for the the price tag that you have to pay for Georgia running backs in Georgia, you know, skill position players, and it just doesn't line up to me.
So, Newman, I'm out on, uh, he's probably sitting down in the in the late teens early twenties for me, and I know that the Todd Monken higher for the offensive coordinator position.
I know it's got people fired up because he's had every quarterback he's had in college and had 4000 and 35 yada yada yada.
But I'm not so sure that that's not Mike Gundy compared to top month, because Mike Gundy is still doing that same thing without Monk in there.
So, uh, where you don't **** you knew Majayda you How low, you know, kind of kind of new.
I'm actually somewhat neutral, probably on the lower side, Closer to you, he's catching a lot of steam.
It seems like at first the Georgia moved.
Really scared a lot of people off, which I'm with me for the reason why.
Um, it is kind of a black hole for fantasy production? Um, I think so.
I probably won't have a whole lot, see when he's going up this high ground.
Um, I think I do want have them once it's wife shares because there's the chance that he does just go nuclear this year.
I don't think that high of a chance, like he said, the track records not there, but just with the talent.
I mean, it doesn't happen often, but that's having somewhat of a revolution right now.
Yeah, a new offensive coordinator.
There's a chance with him and chickens and the other guys.
They got there. They're putting up a point.
He could get a lot of rushing touchdowns.
Let me Probably is anyway, so I'd like to have them, but you're going to need to pay a pretty price to get him your most draft.
I'm probably not getting because there's a lot of downside here.
Like like I said he did it taking out of the game real early.
They give the ball to four other back who are gonna culture a lot from him exactly in that door.
That's exactly that's exactly where I'm that with him.
Eso next up in the fourth round and pick 11.
So toward the end at the end of the fourth, Family had a whole nighters go.
I think that's a great spot for him.
I think that's where he's going to go when the vast majority is drafted, right right there that that middle fourth, middle fifth somewhere in that ballpark.
Hey, But he left the real nasty taste in a lot of people's mouths.
Mine, including last year, really, really ****ting the bed for the 1st 2/3 of the season seemed like and my boy Justin Heisey on Twitter and if you guys speaking off.
Shout out real quick.
Uh, Jodi Salvo at the CFF site.
Mike Brain Bridge.
Andrew Cats, Justin Heisey, John Lobb All those guys, if you're playing finished college, face football on your not fun along with those dudes.
You're doing this wrong.
Uh, they are stay are sharp, and they got all their ducks in a row, and then they know what they're doing.
So if they're talking and you're playing college, Thanks for what? You guys should be listening.
My boy, Justin, Heidi calls me Mr November, you know, full or is for 505 and six touchdown games.
Toe finished the season off last year.
And, ah, the recency bias is gonna have people excited again for incoming in this season.
Where you at with whole Nader's issue? E think this thing to take a look? Um, just following on a round by round, like the top four.
Um I mean, you can have your where exactly they're going, Like you said Rather Ellinger.
But not for pretty strong.
Howell Rather Hellinger and field.
After that, it's kind of it gets kind of crazy like with King.
And then there's a whole lot of picks go by and there's Newman, and then you know, I want the whole nother round goes by and we got all those here.
So I think you could get him at this spot around 44.
That's pretty good, most because he's going to get a kind of opportunity.
Yep, they throw the ball.
I think it's 36.
8 times per game.
Last year, that was a for the nation, that's all.
Hatred, poverty, good receivers.
Yeah, that's what fantasy is all about, right? Opportunities and civilians.
Not like it's going to get a job taking away the ads, rushing stats, throwing a ball over.
He's crazy, inconsistent, But as you get older, you would assume that would change a little bit.
So I'm with you.
I don't want him on every team because what if he throws up another stinker for the first game? Yeah, doing.
I tried to scooping up every good last year, and it hurt me a lot during the front and excess spending high capital draft pick on him, and it's done for a while until until and they wouldn't come around come playoff time.
It was great because he was carrying me through the end of the season and into the playoffs.
So that's just one.
Those things, too, where you gotta hope he hits on the front end because if he hits on the back end and he's getting off into that conference schedule and they are just rolling through those and especially like you, like he's talking about the opportunity.
Don't about 37 times a game.
That's what you want to see.
All right, So in the fifth round, we had four quarterbacks go off the border.
Costello at at 5.
1, Shane Buechele at 54 brought party at 58 and Trevor Lawrence at 5 10 Now there's there's two guys were three guys here that I think are two guys being weight under, directed from their position, and one guy, in my opinion, being over drafted and and I'm gonna catch some flack about this, but I'm not in on K J.
Costello this year.
I'm not in on the brutal schedule that they're gonna have to have to play.
They play Alabama l issue Auburn and then plus of by weeks.
So there is a legitimate chance that you have to lease, have that internal discussion on whether or not you're gonna bench a guy.
You draft that high four weeks out of the season, right? So outside of those outside of those four games, there are three games and then the bye week.
Of course it's pretty.
It's it's It's pretty soft, I mean, but there's a lot of games there that you've got to really think.
Do I need to start this guy? And on the same on that same topic? How is the Michael each Air raid offense going to transition over into the SEC? Whether or not the SEC is going through an offensive revolution or not, they they still play the best defense by far in the country.
LF l s u Secondary is going to be stacked again this this this year.
They had a rough year last year, but you would have to assume that Obama is going to be bam in there and they're going They're going to write that ship.
Auburn had a great defense last year, so I'm not I'm not too awful How on the fact that Costello is gonna be a 40 40 45 plus, you know, passing attempts every single week, looking at that hot 300 yards and two or three touchdowns at least every game.
Like they like Michael.
It was pumping out at Washington State.
So that so, if he's going in, though, that top five round range, which he definitely he definitely will, just for the fact that he's in my creatures system, there's not gonna be a lot of teams I'm gonna have cost along because I'm not sold that it's gonna work just flat out any any.
Any thoughts on K.
Costello? Uh, think I'm with you almost your point a little bit lower than among consensus as well.
Any time you get a raid quarterback of Mike Leach quarterback around five, I won't kill it too much.
You could do a lot worse things around five germs, but there are a lot of concerns.
So I'm in Northern California.
I went to a lot of Stanford danger.
You felt play and like he had a great year, I think two years ago we went over 3000 Stanford.
Not bad last year when he always said he was not great at all.
I mean, They had offensive line issues, but he was really inconsistent.
He's injury plagued.
Uh, first year we got people leaving the program like crazy and start, go there. Just a lot of confidence.
I don't think they're going to light the world on fire. You're one.
Especially with that practice.
Yeah, I think Year one, but no spring practice.
I think it's gonna be a struggle, but And look, last year I was I was out on l S u and I had to put my foot all the way in the back of my throat for that, so I could I could told you.
So you guys just that's just not concerned.
So two guys that I think are being just spit on right now and in drafts are our shame to Shell and Trevor Lawrence.
Uh, Trevor Lawrence has been a 35 100 yard passer and 35 touchdowns, you know, benchmark since he's been playing.
Last year he had 3600 yards and 36 touchdowns.
He added 563 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Now we're always talking about the difference between Trevor Lawrence and Justin fields filled is an athlete.
He's more of a runner.
Trevor Lawrence is more pocket passer, and people need to get off of that because that is not the case.
Ah, this was this was brought up the other day on a on the CFF on campus with Scott Bagman, Heisey and John Lobb, and I could not agree more.
Trevor Lawrence is an excellent runner.
All right, if you're going to give me a quarterback that's gonna throw for 3600 and 36 touchdowns and then add on another of 600 yards and 10 touchdowns running, that is phenomenal.
That is huge output and the fact that he's going in the fifth round, the end of the fifth round.
On top of that, I just don't understand that.
That was that was on those things.
I took him the previous draft.
I took him in the fourth round, and, uh, and he just didn't have a lot of people were just kind of, you know, just really nearly on.
They weren't like they were.
He just kept falling and kept falling.
I thought, Man, somebody's got to take Trevor Lawrence.
He went in the first round in the draft previous to that, uh, so people need to quit.
Uh, I mean, it's hard to say that you're sleeping on Trevor Lawrence, but come on and he's gonna grow.
Yeah, these is gonna be the number one overall.
Pick him or fields coming out of the draft next year.
So if we have a college football season, he's gonna ball out.
He's playing on a team that's going to kick the **** out.
Everybody they play during the regular season.
Yeah, he may not play the half the third in all the fourth quarter, but if he's thrown for 353 touchdowns and possibly giving you another Russian touchdown there, it doesn't matter.
That's what That's all you need out of a quarterback, right? So and then Shane Buechele.
He's got arguably, he's not.
Arguably, he's got a top five finish receiver coming into this season.
He's got arguably the number one tight end coming into this season, and he just he just keeps falling down.
I've seen him go as late as the eighth and ninth round in mock dress.
Uh, if you got a top tier town in wide receiver, a top tier talent tied in.
They've got other wide receivers there that I'm pretty Holland and I don't know His first name is last. Things arrest.
I can't pronounce his first, but they've got a lot.
Well, that is in you and eggs.
Avery Jones graduated chamber shells.
A really good quarterback.
Had it not been for shame to shelve in.
Texas may still be in that five win range.
He's the one that bridged us two when we got to a lover.
So between those four guys with Costello Bushell party and Lawrence, where do you Where do you see those guys going into madrassas? You're done.
Um, I've seen you shall go later than I think I grabbed them in, like, eighth or ninth round one.
There's no reason there's no reason.
30 is usually about this range.
People are pretty high in.
And, um, and then Lawrence kind of all over the place.
Some people the highest vomits third round, but it's been mostly lower sick.
I don't get the hate. The guys.
Yeah, I mean, college quarterback that ever seen, so Yeah.
I mean, he's fantastic.
And looks I was the leader of the Trevor Lawrence is over.
Hot trained last year, and I pounded on that drum all off season long going in the last year, and I got ridiculed and punched in the mouth.
And then through the 1st 8 weeks, I was looking like a hero.
You know, I was I was talking trash.
I was letting people know I told you it's gonna happen.
And then the second half of the season, he just absolutely dominated.
And I had to kind of ring that battering rain that back a little bit, but yeah, definitely.
Ever Lawrence going that, Lois, is this criminal to May? I've seen him go in the first round in some drafts, and I've seen it dropped.
This is the lowest I've seen him go.
Is is the fifth most time.
It's in that third and fourth round, and I just don't get so uh, no, I didn't have Ah, Justin.
Rachael's out for the year.
A little bit all even ****her.
Yeah, but at the end of the day, man, it's It's Clemson.
They're pulling in five star receivers left and right out there, they were just going to read just the same way Obama does.
It's, I don't think that hurts him at off.
So in the sixth round we had three quarterbacks go off the board.
Asher O'Hara, Jane Daniels and Dustin Crumb at Astro Hair.
It's 64 Daniel that 67 and Crumb at 6 11 Uh, and I'll be totally honest with you.
I was I totally forgot about Astral Hera.
Whenever I did my initial quarterback rankings, I totally forgot about him and somebody should have smacked me right in the mouth for doing that.
Because that is a guy that plays at MTs you super soft schedule.
He's 1000 yard rusher.
He's going to get you around 10 to 12.
But sounds he is the centerpiece of that offense.
Hey, doesn't have to light it up through the air.
If he gives you 2500 yards and 25 touchdowns, you will be doing backflips over getting that guy in the sixth around.
So, uh, like I said, I told you, forgot him being there he was.
He was 1/12 quarterback taken off the board, and that's probably where I would having rank.
Now that I've been that I was paying attention and somebody called me out on it.
Jane Daniels in the sixth round.
I'm pretty Highland. Jane Daniels.
I think this year they're going to allow you to run the ball a lot more asses.
We stayed that on the last SportsCastr that I did.
I think he's going.
He's going ahead, see a major uptick in in Russian last year.
I want to say, had 300 yards and four touchdowns.
Maybe not even that much.
I think it is gonna get its considerable bump there.
And then Dustin Crumb Chrome is going to be one of those guys you know, Shout out again to my bullet, Justin Heisey.
That's gonna win you a league.
But you're gonna have to take the lumps on the front end.
He has an absolutely brutal opening schedule, you know, for him to play Penn State, Kentucky and Alabama all in the 1st 45 weeks that he's that he is going to have a rough go of it on the front.
But to finish off the season, he's in that conference schedule on its look and sweet.
So it if you take Dustin crime, especially that you're gonna have to make sure you invest in quarterback.
That at least has a pretty soft scheduled to start the season because he has a brutal schedule.
Much of thoughts they're dating.
Yeah, I had the same thing highlighted for chrome when I was because he was looking at his last year.
Yeah, crazy split in the first half of the year.
Um, because they over the last six games, I think the average 43 points per game, they were running like crazy, throwing like crazy even in the bowl game.
Um, so at first I thought I want to jump all over crime.
I could get him in.
What? He got kicked around seven around here, Six round into the 6 11? Yeah, supper.
So I thought I'd jump all over him.
But then, you know, once I saw that non con I thought you're probably gonna need to strong quarterback is pretty wicked.
The good thing is, you can find people on the waiver wire.
They're going to be playing week.
Not on, because that's right.
Getting weak non com so I could see it.
But it is tough drafting to take a guy that high when you're also gonna need to supplement your officer to feel great about it.
Yeah, but they're definitely ways around it.
So, yeah, you know what? You just know that if you invest in Crumb wherever you getting mad, you have to make sure that your third quarterback has a pretty soft schedule in front of because you will not put him in the starting lineup unless you're in a super deeply.
I know I play in a dynasty like that starts four quarterbacks, 36 man roster.
That's pretty intense.
You know, you may have to starting against Kentucky.
You may want you may have to start him against Penn State.
I don't see any way at all.
Anyway, inhale that you're starting against Alabama, but you may be forced into that.
But for the stent, for the standard college fantasy football, you're looking at two quarterbacks and stuff like that.
So you have to make sure that your third quarterback that you take if you're investigating that, huh or feed your first quarterback that you take.
If you're like me and you wait on, you have to make sure that you get a couple guys like that's gonna be able to hold jobs that 1st 34 weeks, cause it's gonna be pretty brutal.
Uh, next up in the seventh around, we started seeing a lot of quarterbacks go off the board.
So we got in book at seven to Spencer Sanders at 73 Keating Slovis is 76 Sam Hartman at 77 and Adrian Martinez at 78 So we went, uh, essentially quarterback ever pick in the seventh round? Almost so.
Look at seven to I'm not the biggest fan in book.
I just and it's just I'm not the biggest fan of Notre Dame in general, you know they're there. One of those things.
Every year, every year and books been started, he seems like he's finishing as a top 20 quarterback.
So I get why somebody's taking their He was 15th off the board here.
I'm just not going to invest in in book.
I just I don't I don't see the upside.
Very nice floor, though.
He's gonna he's gonna be ableto get you that 18 to 22 points just about every single week, 250 yards, two, maybe three cuts.
Sounds and be nice, but Notre Dame place pretty good defense, and they're not gonna They're not gonna like the scoreboard up on fire.
That's understandable spot for him to be a huge upside ton of town on the team.
He has to continue Jumper Hubbard.
But you got Thailand Wallace and all those guys.
Still, that is gonna light it up.
I think you should go significantly higher with, especially with J.
Daniels transferred now to Georgia.
Um, I was I was surprised.
I know I've tried to draft slows and just about everything that I've that I've done so far.
And I specifically passed on him here because I wanted to see how low that he that he fed and 76 is pretty low.
If I could grab Keating Slovis in the 7th 6th or seventh around, I will do that 100% of the time in every one of my riel re drafts coming into this season.
And I'm one of them degenerates that playing like 10 10 leagues this season.
So he's gonna be on my team, bond that Yes, uh, Sam apartment await forests.
You got the r p.
O offense makes perfect sense there.
He's stepping in taking over Jamie Newman.
When the Newman was hurt last year, he performed great.
He was He was a guy you could start week in, week out.
And then Adrian Martinez little banged up last year.
The name hopped the upside for the Russian ability to have in the seventh around, especially the end of the seventh is pretty nice.
So of those five JD who were the two that you would like the best there if you had to pick two between books.
Sanders Slovis apartment Martinez Uh, definitely not Martinez, not book.
Um, I think I probably definitely slow this, So I'm gonna go global.
Uh, I think I'd rather have standards.
I think Oklahoma State have a big year.
A lot of returning production.
He showed out as a freshman.
He didn't light up the scoreboard, but he ran for a lot of yards.
He had somewhere between, like, 107 100 only two Touchdown.
He's going to get one and two Russian test.
Sounds like it, but athlete Yeah, yeah, I think you somewhat safe with a Russian on good team with silent walls to throw to the mother returning talent, But I like him.
He's got a pretty tight floor ceiling on the Slovis, like even on.
I mean, I wouldn't be surprised that guys, you know, Heisman or higher.
I think it would be healthy.
He's already been knocked out of quite a few games.
But I mean, that marriage, Graham Harrell should not.
Hey, there looked good last year, man.
I was I was really important where they looked last year on offense.
I was I was very happy with Slovis.
I know I picked him up late in the season in a lot of places and the, uh you did well for me.
All right, so to keep moving on, we had no quarterbacks taken in eighth around it all.
We had to in the knocked around John Reese plumbing out of the moments at 94 and I took Chevron Cordero with my picking at the end of the ninth at 9 11 John Reese.
Bumbling is a guy that is man.
If if there was any news that drops that he is the confirmed starter, he will go in the first round.
If he's not, you're doing you're doing backflips and your eyes to yourself, right? You're having a shot with your buddies because that guy's and electric elite runner uh edl edl miss.
You know that they have to play, have to play a couple tough games a year, but that's his ability to move outside of the pocketing and make stuff with his legs.
Completely offsets the fact that he's gonna have to have to play a couple really ****ty teams, you know? And then really, really, excuse me.
Really good defense is to place, and I have really sheeting matchups.
Uh, if he's locked down as a starter than my boy Andrew Cats here got a major steel with John responding and the nights around.
And then, of course, Chevy Cordero took him at the end of the round.
This is where this eruptive my personal quarterbacks I waited to the ninth and 10th round to take him.
Uh, you know, Todd Graham has knots offenses at Arizona State.
Uh, I don't think they're just gonna completely do a 1 80 with what they've been doing it.
And why this for the past 15 years, Eso I think seven per day was gonna have a good season.
I'm pretty high on him.
I'm definitely higher on the 21 overall.
I'm probably closer in that 15 to 12 range for him personally.
So I'm pretty happy with getting him and then the best about draft, especially being able to wait that long to get a quarterback.
I was pretty happy the two that I got.
So John Reese formally Shevin Cordero, Wait, Were you thinking Uh, yeah, it's only confirm starter.
I'm all over and just seeing that guy around like he probably only a handful quarterback from like that ever got special.
But with Lane Kiffin, uh, you know, he probably wants to throw the ball a little bit more, I think, with no spring practices, uh, you know, weird off season since he started the majority.
The games last year, I think will probably be the confirmed starter.
So if you're thinking he's gonna start and or you watch a highlight taken, get jazzed up on our enemy in June and he's your guy, there's so many good quarterbacks.
It's pretty much just taking your guy.
You like Cordero.
You know why often that could go crazy.
If you like Plumlee here than go with family, but nobody was aware of.
Actually, it's all about whatever you want.
But don't feel scared if you think you're taking a guy one around to earlier.
And and my boy Andrew Katz said it the right way.
Whenever they did, the the cast over at A at the CFS Is the bus great? It's pretty hot for college.
Thanks for about. Anyway.
If you're playing in a power five only leak, it hurts a little worse because you don't have the pool to choose from.
But if your guys out there and you want to make sure you having been friggin draft if you got a drafting, you know, over drafting by two of the rounds to do it, who cares if he bust out? I would rather be wrong and had my guy on my team, then wants the guy that I love going into the season on somebody else's team kicking my ass all year long, right? Uh, if I'm wrong, great, I'll cut him.
There's 130 teams out there, guys.
So go get your guy.
If you got overdraft a little bit, do it.
If you try to play the value game too much.
It's gonna botching the S.
And you're gonna be real sour about it when somebody else is winning a championship.
Because, you know, John, respond.
He's running for 180 yards every game, right? So don't go get your get your dudes 10th round round that our top 25 in the first pic of attempts 10 draft Another quarterback with Tender Morgan McHale Cunningham a 10 6 miles Brennan for L.
S U at 10 9 and killing Monde at Tim Tim.
So Tender Morgan.
I have ah, Bateman on this team as well.
He was my in my first round.
That's who I took it at. Wide receiver. I'm not mistaken.
I like having that 12 Punch that combo out there and I think baby's gonna have huge here.
And I think 10 or Morgan hasn't really safe floor.
He may not know for 404 in the game, but he's gonna give you that to 75 close to 302 touchdowns every game.
Be really consistent.
A lot of games is going to be able to squeeze that third touchdown in there.
So to meet Tanner, Morgan is more of a say floor as compared to an upside pick.
McHale Cunningham at a. At a level.
I'm not super highlighting, I think.
I think you have a fine season.
Louisville. I mean, it's the schedule they're playing.
They're gonna play the same week schedule that Clinton plays in the A C C.
So there's no reason for him not to have a pretty decent season.
He's a piece of really asked, Let it quarterbacks should be able to get plenty down in his legs.
Next up his mouth.
Brennan, Air, Parenteau, The Great Job Borough.
We will find out if it was if the system stuck or if it was all Joe Brady.
Ah, but getting a guy that has that kind of potential, he's got a cannon of an arm.
You're surrounded by offensive town.
You got great wide receivers.
If that system sticks the way that we're hearing that it will, then that's a That's a home run pick in the in the 10th round and then round that I was Kellerman and I gotta tell you guys, stop it.
Stop drafting Helen mind before the 20th round that he's going to give you **** for Russian numbers.
He's going to give you $2500.
22 touchdowns along with, like, 13 or 14 interceptions.
You guys think I'm a Homer and I'm cool.
That think I'm a Homer.
But if you draft Telemann and he ****s on you, I told you so.
So four quarterbacks here, Morgan Cunningham.
Uh, my bringing Miles and Kellman.
What? Your thoughts there? Yeah, I'm with you on Mont.
He plays a big game at all.
Or a televised game.
Um, primetime game.
We can play better every single time if you want to watch that and your team go dumpster fire.
Yeah, that's what you get.
So I'm actually I'm actually on Cunningham.
Um, so you didn't play the full four year last year? That Puma path to start the year.
Who is he takes.
If you give him a full season of that, he would have finished with somewhere around 3100 yards.
34 td, uh, through the air and in 600 rushing and a touchdown.
Oh, get pretty darn good.
Your first, Especially that late.
And getting him badly It's gonna be an explosive offense.
Have the top options back? Satterfield's second year Louisville HCC's a week schedule.
The online was God awful last year and it still put up the great steps.
So who knows what they're going to be any better.
But Satterfield's good coach and in the second year you like things will be at least somewhat better.
But I think he's somewhat they might even give you more stuff through the ground.
Great runner on.
They're gonna be scoring all over the place.
So I think he's got a decent floor, a good So I love him here.
All right, so that rounds out our top 25 we're going to run through the quarterbacks taken after that.
That that I personally like more than kill Amonte.
This is gonna turn into a kill mind back.
So we're going for our way along.
So, uh, Doreen Thompson Robson from U C L.
Alan Bowman, Logan Boehner or Lane Hatcher.
Whichever one is confirmed, it would probably is probably gonna be Logan Bonner.
Um, but whoever is starting at Arkansas State, we'll go with that.
That I think they're floor is much higher than that keeps on Thompson at Virginia.
If he can win the starting role there, that's that's, Ah, that's an offense designed around his skill set.
You know, you're gonna you're gonna take over for Brass Perkins.
A lot of running the ball.
He's an athletic dude.
Dylan Gabriel Next Arkle the transferred at San Jose State.
They are that fun and gun unsettling all over the field, you know, 40 plus times a game so that that's a lot of opportunity and it really easy schedule.
They're not very good, so they're probably going to be down. Most games.
They're playing catch up a lot of opportunity to score there, Uh, a guy that that was surprising.
And the reason why he drops is because of the incoming freshman.
But Matt Jones? He will in the 17th round, uh, 183rd pick.
Overall, He played really well for in replacement for two last year, so I would expect Matt Jones to at least start this season, and, you know, it's if he if he struggles, then you know, maybe Brass Young steps in a play.
But to start the season, of course, Alabama sketch is not gonna be wicked hard until that.
Until that middle, That conference to the get the meat of that.
So Matt Jones could put up some serious games in the beginning, especially playing the likes of Ah Kent State and teams like that to start the season out break.
You want out of Memphis, you know, he went it to 205th overall.
He's he's just he's a safe gotta take, especially when every you're in in the best ball format or if you're looking for guys deep to go to shoot that shot on it to try to swing for the home run, he's another going.
I took Matt Corral in the 23rd round at 10th a 20 23rd round 10th pick 253rd overall, for the simple reason is, if I get lucky and he wins the starting job with Ole Miss, that's a guy that might start in my best ball on up every single week outside of the Bama week.
That's that's a guy that could really light up.
I don't think that he will.
I still think John Reese plumbing will be the starter.
Uh, but just in case, you know, you never know what happens. Running quarterbacks.
I might get lucky there.
Shawn Chambers is the same way at a Wyoming major, big time, big time runner.
Not not a very polished faster, but it doesn't matter when you're playing Mommy.
Schedule weekend a week out.
Big time runner.
You're looking at 150 you know, rushing yards, a game type of guy.
Um, so definitely keep an island.
Shawn Chambers and Matt Corral.
Because if they win those starting jobs there, there will be players that people will will kind of be sleeping on a little bit.
So any of those guys that mention out there you want to hit on a GTR? Bowman, Bonner, Thompson, Gabriel.
Brady Watt. Macro Chambers.
Anybody there? Yeah.
Two main ones are Gabriel on white for me.
Um, as far as you taken corral there.
So if you're new to see if I may not know this, but he's been playing You know that the late round quarterback battled for guys We could just go insane, like last year, getting Anthony Gordon late before he was a starting at Washington.
See, Russell, big winner.
So you actually you have to be doing that, if I could get so far, is why, If I could get White in the 19th round, that's pretty much the same thing for me.
Getting handbook Indian.
Both went six rounds.
Um, exact my exact thoughts.
Who is the same place? Yeah, pretty much the same player.
He's been in college for like 18 years.
So he's got the job Borough effect, where he's a veteran playing against a bunch of kids and he's got good talent.
Memphis to cruise like crazy compared to receive their plans.
So, yeah, I'm all over White.
I don't think you'll probably last the 19 ground most draft, but he does live.
He is old and boring in place.
He's got a minute.
He's not throw for $400 game, but he's gonna be pretty consistent.
He's going to do the same.
Like you said, the same thing in books.
Gonna get Yeah, I like one of my strategies.
I like taking a lot of Group of five guys because they'll drop like people want to take eyes.
Will be on TV a lot.
Yeah, So I mean, obviously I want those guys to switch it up.
But there's always value to find a group of five guys.
That's usually my approach.
Um, Gabriel that as well.
Looks like he went 163rd overall.
15 rounds? Yeah, I'm all over him.
I think what a lot of it is is, uh, Milton potentially coming back? Sure.
I mean usually wait on quarterback battles.
You know what you did to corral really or somebody else relate.
Um, but I think I mean Milton.
They're saying you may never play football again. Like at first.
Yeah. I mean, it was really bad.
It would be great.
It would be tough for me to see him starting this year. I hope he does.
Uh, he's one of those if you want to root for, but I just don't I just know they have being ableto happen.
No, I don't think can happen.
I think it's a fairly safe bet.
Or as far as they said, it was weird.
Crazy off isn't sure if you know, nobody knows, but I think it's far is like taking white higher.
He's a star pretty high on and being the starter, I think it's above the 80% chance, maybe even higher, because he was great as a freshman.
Last series got great talent.
You could just go crazy when they score.
Hey, can add some running stats.
He didn't quite show that last year, mainly because he was throwing like a 40 yard deeper on every single place around every place.
And it's gonna be the same thing this year.
There's a good default.
If they're athletes are better than their names.
It is a clear advantage.
It's just too easy.
Throws deep every place and it works more often.
So I'm all over Gabriel.
Um, I think as far as looking back out like Steve, I've fallen.
You can get some great quarterbacks if you don't get up early.
Like if you went, like, move shelling Slovis.
I think that was DeMint round.
Yeah, amazing 12 guys, probably going over 4000 yards all season.
That'd be great.
Yes, If you want, I believe even ****her.
Like we said, there were a lot of guys.
Even I like Cunningham in the 10th when you weren't on ties him.
But there's a lot of you got Cordero and Morgan on the 9 10 Flip.
There's just so many quarterbacks, like I said earlier, so I'd be I'd be all about waiting, grabbing some good group of five guys.
I don't even know if you mentioned Chris Reynolds.
Now I know I raised over him then.
Yet from Charlotte's, that's a great point.
You know, you you got yet probably the tough nonconference schedule.
But once he gets in the conference by man, he's gonna eat.
Yes, he's like a lower version of crime, but not too far off.
They're gonna be good this year and he round a lot.
So I'm all over that.
And they Benny Low man who got the ball, it telling over there.
And now he's out.
I think Ronald run even more so.
There's so many good guys.
I think you have a few sticks out.
I mean, most, most fantasy sports are all about value called football, Like we said earlier.
Not quite like that, Probably less so than any other sport because you know you can hit from Rio home round.
Yeah, just before many people to choose from.
Yes, in the home run and value even late, you could get both home run and value late on some of absolutely well, All right, so we'll finish up talking about this of the quarterback.
So there is a significant drop off after that second round.
I mean, you got guys going, you got the fields that l lingers house Rather's kings.
You know, Taylor's even, I mean, costal could blow up in the shell's that kind of stuff.
So in that top 10 or so there, there is definitely Cliff and the difference between I have heard people talk about this on other shows.
Playing in 25 50 it's not huge, you know, there's not.
There's not a huge gap, and probably in the output that you're probably giving those guys.
So that gives you the ability to wait.
If that's what you want to do now, me, I'm typically a quarterback, pretty early guy.
I want to get me a good, solid running quarterback early.
Uh, if you know if the right ones there it's.
It's a first round pick for me, no doubt about it.
But, uh, obviously you got guys that are in the better in the that 15 to 20 to 25 range that are out there that are viable starters week in, week out.
So if you're not going to go after one of those elite quarterbacks at the top of the draft, you can like you go it deep, and you can write a long time to get him.
So, uh, you got any other clubs and comments? JD, Uh, I was just gonna agree with you.
I think usually I almost always get a quarterback around 12 and it's not, you know, try to grab like Stream four in the back.
I want to study what? We're gonna go crazy this year.
It's not really shaping up like that so far.
And there's so much, so many good players.
Um, I mean, it's all.
It's all in your strategy, because if I could get fields in round one obvious, get everything, that's Louis calendar.
So I have some rather probably have to go.
But I think waiting here it will be interesting to see the 80 p the draft position on guys because I think something's going to creep up when there's more in store who show are slow. This certainly.
We've been a little bit longer than planned, but we got off into some pretty good, pretty good topics there.
So, uh, next week, if and it could be middle of this week, we haven't really decided to schedule on a yet, but at the very latest, next Sunday will be coming out with either running backs and receivers.
Me and Jamie will talk about that off affair, but you got stay tuned for that.
Next time we will see them.
