Welcome back to equal Capital Media.
My name is Miles Davis.
We're gonna get right into it.
So today we're gonna be talking about the Philadelphia Eagles.
Remember? I told you on the very first episode that I would talk about the Philadelphia 76 years in the Philadelphia Eagles.
And then over time, I would talk about more variety of sports teams and leagues, so we're gonna get right into it.
So Ian Rapoport recently reported that the Philadelphia Eagles and running back Darren Sproles have agreed to a one year deal.
Now, I'm gonna give you my take on it, and then we're gonna go to the next subject.
So I'm gonna be honest with you guys.
I like it, but I'm also a little bit confused about it.
Okay, Now I want you to hear me out.
I like it from a fan perspective.
I am an Eagles fan.
When I was growing up, I got to see Darren Sproles returned punts for 80 yards and take it to the house.
And even on running plays like it wasn't just how his impact on special teams like punts.
He also was able to sprint right through the holes like a quick, mighty mouse, as they used to call him.
But you also why I'm confused about it is Darren Sproles is currently 36 years of age 36 that is extremely, extremely old for a running back.
So that's what that's what My concern lies.
Because if he gets injured, what are we gonna do about that, which is? But if he's able to stay healthy as well as still show that quickness and that spark where he's able to just get, then I will my confuse mindset definitely completely disappear.
And if he's able to stay healthy, definitely, definitely.
Also, another reason why I'm confused about this signing is because currently, with the Parentsrole signing right now, I'm looking at it in my notes.
So the Eagles currently had eight running backs under contract, so I'm almost say their names by how I would rank them.
So I have Jordan Howard.
It's Jordan, Howard, Miles Sanders, Corey Clement, Darren Sproles, Josh Adams, Windows, Smallwood, Boston Scott and then L Pumphrey.
Now I'll keep it real with you all.
Smallwood, Scott and Pumphrey should not make the team. They should not.
Smallwood hasn't really shown anything as well as Scott Pumphrey.
Pump three has been a disappointment, considering he was the Hebrew Barry Sanders all time rushing record in college at San Diego State.
But I didn't really do much, so I feel like I'm a I'm gonna be a little sad because with their unspools, I'm not sure if they're gonna keep Josh Adams.
And I met Josh Adams.
He's a great guy group of Eagles fan.
I really hope he makes the team, but I truly do not think that's going to happen with you have with him being below Howard Sanders Clement and strolls on the food chain.
So I really only makes the practice squad.
So someone, if someone that I listed above in the top floor gets hurt, we'll always have Adams to back him up.
So right now I'm ah, before we get on to our next subject, I'm going to allow you guys have any questions about any sports.
And yeah, before you get on to the next subject.
All right, so we're gonna get into our second part off today's show, and we're going to be talking about the Philadelphia Eagles schedule.
It's training camp is about to begin, and you got pre season about to begin in less than a month.
So this is going to be my prediction.
I'll probably cover another episode closer to the season when we get to see, like, the final rosters and who has shown in preseason, like if they actually like our good or if they've I guess what I'm trying to put is, have started getting to, like, some sort of slump or something like that.
So let's start off with the Eagles.
I'm gonna read their schedule here.
Um, you got weak.
One Redskins Week two Falcons Week three Lions Week, four Packers.
Then you got the Jets, Vikings, the Cowboys, the Bills, the Bears And you got a bye week, Week 10.
And you got Pats, Seahawks, Dolphins, Giants, Redskins, Cowboys and Giants yet.
All right, so I'm a get started with this with my prediction, and then I'll be Then it will be so long.
See you later for a little bit.
Um, so we're gonna start off with the Redskins Week one.
Everyone should be healthy.
The Eagles are just better.
I don't really think I need toe.
Explain that, Uh, Yeah, I got Eagles winning that.
So they want to know right now.
Then you're moving on to the Falcons Falcons it.
So it's only a game.
So that's very interesting.
On if there's not any substantial injuries from Week one, then I'd say Eagles got in the bag.
This is basically off.
If nothing substantial like big happens. Basically.
So, yeah, I got Eagles winning that one, considering I feel like the Eagles have a better offense, I guess.
Then the Falcons and a better defense, I feel like So I've had just being a superpower, moving on to the Lions lines, just literally, just the junior version of the Patriots.
If I'm offending anyone 16.
You know, um, I hope so.
I hope so, my friend.
Let's let's check it out.
All right, Packers.
That's gonna be an interesting game.
I remember in Carson wants his first year when they had a home game in Philadelphia against the Packers.
And I thought that Carson once was gonna do really, really well.
He and I thought that you were gonna win that game.
They lost, and I was kind of disappointed, but I also feel like the Eagles don't have as many weapons as they do now, offensively and defensively.
So I feel like the Eagles are going to take that and start off the season for no.
All right now, moving on to the Jets, the Jets are going to lose to the Philadelphia Eagles Week five.
I just don't think they were still young.
I don't think that a team whose has shown who have that still, if that Super Bowl core is going to match up really well against the Philadelphia Eagles, especially with even though they have Levy on Belle, who may still may be washed up after a year of just not playing foot tackle football.
So, yeah, so and I feel like the Eagles having still having that really, really strong run defense, you got to give it to the evils, all right.
Moving on to the Vikings, huh? He literally This game is going to depend on injuries, and, like I physically, I want to see how Preseason goes to see out.
Kurt Cousins doesn't know that defense turns out because they got a good offense and I feel like they have a better.
They have a better offensive they did two years ago when we put them in the NFC championship game.
So this is going to on this game is, in my opinion, going to depend on how well Carson wants comes back.
I don't believe the other five games, and I just said, are going to be like If Carson went, has a good game, then the Eagles are going to it.
That's the only way I know this week.
That is going to be the game where it or it has to be. Carson wins.
Or, if you like, Carson Wentz is going to be the deciding factor in whether if the Eagles go 65 1 now, I'm just gonna be a little passive on this and more pessimistic than I feel like whence.
I just need to just see if one's doesn't come back.
Hopefully, my pretty, I really hope my prediction is wrong.
But I got the Eagles losing in Minneapolis to the Vikings, and I've got them losing to the Cowboys as well, depending on whether, of course, this another one of those games, if, well, a injuries that killed us last year as well as is Carson.
One's going to deliver in that game, so we'll see.
I got them losing, But we'll see it's an away game.
So that's why you'll see later on Week 16 on my opinion one that we play the Cowboys again.
So then we got all we have a three game a waste, and OK, so we put the Bills Week eight.
I got us winning that because the Bills are there, you know they're gaining more and more talent.
They got a solid defense.
I respect Shawn McDermott.
A lot, in my opinion, could used to be. The Eagles puts a coordinator.
I have a lot of respect for him.
I feel like he's doing some great things up in Buffalo, but I feel like the Eagles are going to pull through.
It was not like Carson.
What, like that's gonna be a nice breaking for Carson once.
We're not gonna have to, like, go off, because he's gonna have that depth and all that positional skill in all the other positions for the Eagles that are going to really help him beat the Bills in this case.
All right, so before the body for Week 10 the Eagles play against the Bears at home.
Now, once again, this is depending on whether or not Carson wins.
Has a good game or not.
So basically similar to the Vikings game, I have toe.
Have to think more pessimistically on this.
And if Carson isn't completely like his 2017 m v p self yet.
So I got the Bears winning that one and the Eagles before the buy going, Um, six and 36 and three.
All right, So Week 11 we got the Patriots at home.
Um, Tom Brady, That's gonna be tough.
It's gonna be a tough matchup.
I feel like once again Tom Brady in the clutch is going to be really tough for end of play.
So I got Patriots gonna win that won it at the lake.
And who's got that's brings us the six and four at Week 11.
I actually have the Eagles win in the rest of their games.
So Seattle I have them winning Seattle, Miami, New York, Washington, Dallas and then New York Giants to finish off the season.
A long time ago, this was a while ago when we played this.
No, this was during Carson once is M V P caliber season.
You got them playing at centurylink field, Amanda up losing to the Seahawks, and I was a little frustrated.
I was a little scared, that is, Are we just playing bunch of weak opponents? But now I feel like since we have a lot of tools and that we feel like Doug Peterson's gonna be ableto like Rally the guys to be able to play a team.
The sea ox, where they're a little, they're not their former Selves.
They're they're like they have Russell Wilson, but they're also trying to rebuild.
So I got us winning that.
So that will bring us to seven and four on the year.
So moving on to the Dolphins, I got us winning that. The Dolphins.
See how Brian Floors does as the new head coach, Um, but I feel like Eagles gonna pull it through.
They just are better than them and basically every position so than the Giants.
When next question Redskins, I don't really see much happening there as another win Cowboys.
So early on I said that Cowboys would give the fill up the Eagles their second loss of the season.
A week seven on Lee.
Because it's in a way, I feel like if you have, it's week 16.
You need like this.
Ah, must time must win.
Like free division, I guess.
I feel like the fans are gonna be behind them.
The the city is going in behind them, and I feel like he was gonna pull it through. Definitely.
And then giants, depending on if they really need it.
Like if they're playing you like a bi or something that I think you're actually gonna play like they're good players and I think they're gonna pull it off.
So, yeah, right now, currently, I'm not predicting any injuries or anything.
So right now, I got the Eagles going 12 and four in the regular season, and I think they're gonna have a good chance of going deep into the playoffs and actually making good chance of Super Bowl.
So now, before I wrap up, I noticed that some people were riding in the comments section, so I'm going to read some of those and then I will see you guys later.
Are you attending any games this year? Um, I believe so.
I will definitely cover the games that I go to and report about him.
Get my takes on it and deaf and probably go on sportscaster later on giving my takes on those games unless I'm focusing on either focus on something else.
But it's likely that I will go to multiple games.
I have season tickets, so I'm gonna try to get to as many games as I can.
