All right, Here's the deal.
Here's the deal.
It's tough for us content creators right now.
We got nothing to talk about, but I got something.
Okay, So last week, Fox, I think it was Fox.
Fox Sports Network replayed the 2003 Eagles Packers divisional playoff game.
Now, I didn't watch it because I literally watched this game maybe 3 to 4 months ago and Ah, all right, So here's the window.
I'm gonna introduce you guys.
That's something that you guys may not understand, But we'll see.
So I do a scoring system.
Ah, when I grade NFL games, and I This is this is a notebook from Okay, So this is 2000 to 3 2004 2000 to 30,000 for the NFL playoffs in between these years.
So I have a notebook.
You know, these notebooks? I don't have a mommy right now, but I fill out a bunch of stuff and I do a plate a play by play scoring system.
Um, that, I guess if you want to check it out, maybe maybe I can leave something in the in the comment section below.
But if you go on my YouTube channel, The Bitter Birds and you click on the Notebook.
If if you search for the notebook better birds, you'll see some examples of how I do the play by play scoring system.
All right, so let's get to the 2003 NFC divisional playoff game between the Eagles and the Packers.
I'm to tell you right now, the Eagles had no business winning this football game.
This was a team that was struggling to stop the run in 2003.
Ah, this They were, I want to say, a year to remove from Jeremiah Trotter leaving for the Redskins.
So linebacking situation wasn't that great? I'm trying to remember what it was exactly.
Ah, it was like, What was it back there back during that time? Oh, man, I'm completely blanking.
But I don't even know if Carlos Emmons was on the linebacking squad was like Mark Simoneau, Nate Wayne.
It wasn't very good, and the Packers ran all up and down the field against the Eagles defence.
It was Ah, it was a very good Green Bay offensive line.
They generated a lot of push on the ground and they just controlled the game, then you know, Brett Farve didn't really have to do too much.
Ah, so I'm still trying to find this game.
I probably should have, like, flip to this game before I started the video.
But here we are, all right.
So in my play by play scoring system, the Packers won this game, 94 to 81.
But the Philadelphia Eagles obviously 1 22 17 in overtime.
So there was, ah, point in the game, about 22 minutes and 30 seconds left on the clock.
The Packers were faced with 1/4 and one.
They elected to pump the ball, despite the fact again that they were running all up and down the field on the use.
They punted the ball.
All they had to do was hand the ball off one more time, and the game would have basically been over.
I'm trying to remember if the Eagles had any time outs or not, but here's what I wrote down.
I can't believe they didn't go for this.
Like even watching it back all these years later, watched the game back.
I'm like, man, I still can't believe it and go for it so Eagles.
They regain the possession because the punt went into the end zone. There was a touchback.
They were at the 41 yard line when they didn't attempt the fourth and one.
So within one play, Duce Staley goes off left tackle for 22 yards.
They're already at the original line of scrimmage that the Packers rat when they could have just went for the fourth and one iced the cake.
So, obviously, we have a situation here.
Where the Eagles eventually were faced with 1/4 and 26 eso bow Jew came on a safety blitz.
On second down, it was a second and 10 and Donovan McNabb was ruled in the grasp.
So that's what I had.
I'm I'm fun during on the details.
I I probably should watch the highlights before did this.
This video, But that's my fault.
Eso we have 1/4 and 26 year where Freddie Mitchell was wide open.
There was Ah, it was a cover to coverage.
Ah, and he got behind the defense if if I'm remembering correctly and he was able to hold on, obviously for the first out, So we had to come out.
And then first day for Freddie Mitchell.
Yeah, Fred X baby.
Because he always delivers.
And he delivered on fourth and 26.
Eagles obviously go on to kick the field goal.
Ah, and and then in overtime Ah, first possession for Green Bay.
Unfortunately, Bret Farve throws a ball up in the air, Brian Dawkins picks it off, and it was pretty much over after that.
So Ah, this This was a game that came on a weekend where we may have actually had the best divisional playoff weekend in the history of the NFL.
So just going back and, you know, looking back at these games, All right, so here's what I do.
I have a scoring system that I use.
It was 94 to 81 in the play by play scoring system.
I also rate gapes.
It's kind of like a think about how a movie critic, uh, kind of rates Ah, a like a movie.
Or if you're wrestling fan, you're wrestling fan Think it Dave Meltzer and how he writes wrestling matches.
So I rate games out of five stars and I gave this Game three stars.
It really wasn't a well played game, but because it was close because there was some theatrics at the end.
You had obviously the fourth and 26.
Yeah, I gave it three stars.
But was it a three star game? Probably not.
All right, so the other games from this weekend, let's just quickly kind of go through the other ones.
All right, So we had Oh, I remember this game.
Indianapolis In Kansas City, there were no punts in the game.
Indianapolis 1 38 to 31.
I I remember this game very well.
Indianapolis was just humming offensively the week prior.
They played Denver, ran all over Denver.
Ah, and then they do the same thing again against Kansas City here.
So, um, then they lost in the A F C Championship game to New England.
So this game I rated as three stars, no punts.
First time in NFL history.
There were no punts in the game.
I'm gonna gets first time in NFL playoff history, not the first time in NFL history.
But if you remember that, that's what happened there.
So I think I think it was Ah, Priest Holmes was the running back of the Chiefs at the time.
This was pre Larry Johnson.
Ah, Tennessee and New England.
New England won this game 17 to 14 79 to 69 in my play by play scoring.
5 stars this game.
I remember it was very cold, bitter, bitter cold.
I know Tom Brady is watching this video, so you can.
He can attest to how cold it was.
Ah, Adam Vinatieri kicked the late field goals 46 yards.
If I remember the field goal that didn't, like, just barely get over the bar or was that the, um, I just thinking of the snow game and that's it.
But it was bitterly cold.
Terry did it again.
He kicked the go ahead field goal like over two minutes left.
Ah, it was like four minutes.
So that's where the go ahead field goal was 3.
5 stars for this game.
The best game of the weekend was the first game of the weekend.
Carolina and ST Louis man.
I watched this game back and I couldn't believe how good this game waas and when I say a well played game, Here's what I'm talking about, so I want to see good offense.
I want to see good defense.
I want to see good football all the way around.
So let's say Let's say there's a go route down the right sideline, right? And you know, the receiver has a good release.
The receiver runs a good route.
It's a perfectly thrown ball, but the cornerback, you know, makes a good play at the end and is able to knock the pass away.
That right there is beautiful football because you're seeing the quarterback make a good play.
The wide receiver run a good route, and then the cornerback makes the play to bat the ball out of the air.
Eso It's like when I when I see stuff, um, I'll give you an example of a game that I remember on top my head.
I don't remember what year it waas, but it was.
I think it was Denver When Peyton Manning was on Denver Denver against Seattle, the game was in Seattle and Seattle's defense was so good.
Peyton Manning had to be so pinpoint with his passing just to move the ball down the field, and I just remember, the separation was very minimal, but he was still completing passes because that's how deadly, accurate Peyton Manning.
Waas and I just remember that this game was just awesome to me because the defense was great.
The offensive execution was great.
It was just a great football game all the way around.
Uh, I'll give you an example of, like, probably one of my favorite games in last 10 years.
Super Bowl between New England and Seattle.
That game was unbelievable.
Oh, I was a really, really well played game.
Um, so, you know, that's kind of what I'm looking for when I'm talking about a well played game and, you know, kind of what I'm looking for when I grade a game.
That's what I'm talking about.
So Isaac Sports said, Hey, what's going on? Eyes exports.
How you doing? You're speaking with the goat.
All right, but how you doing? Isaac Haouari.
So is this easy to follow? You guys know what the hell I'm talking about? Or is this just like Swiss cheese? Are goat cheese for you guys? Okay, you're good.
All right. Sweet.
So Carolina ST Louis, let's see this this game was a double overtime game.
Steve Smith caught a 69 yard Ah, touchdown for the winner.
And yes, from what I remember Oh, my God.
Yeah, I remember this.
So the Rams recovered an onside kick.
They tied the game at 23 23 23 with a field goal.
I haven't watched this game in a couple months already.
Forget the details, but, ah, Carolina was able to run the ball on the ground and Ah, the offensive line of Carolina was Ah, you know, very good in the day.
Are you new to SportsCastr? I guess I'm relatively new.
I I mean, I've been on here since the summer.
Um, but I don't do like, you know, a lot of videos.
Maybe once a week or so.
Um, but I'm affiliate influencer.
So Philly influence on the on the Eagles insider for ah, Fox Sports.
The gambler in Philadelphia.
Um, this this probably wouldn't be doing videos like this.
Maybe I'll do another one in a couple of days.
Just kind of recapping some of the games that I saw a couple months ago.
So I mean, here you go.
Here's the notebook right here.
I write, I write the plays down.
I something I started doing. I started highlighting.
You know what? The big plays in the game.
We're, uh you can see.
Here's my plus minus system.
You can see where the pluses are. The minus.
There's a diagonal for when it's like a push, you know? So So let's say first intend the running back gains four yards.
Eso no win for the defense.
One for the offense.
It's It's a tie.
Essentially, Uh, so there you go.
All right, there you have it.
Um, I should probably be a little bit more prepared, but before I do a video like this next time, but I think that's what I'm gonna do.
So when Ah, when it was like January, February March, I I was watching a bunch of playoff games and, you know, maybe this is what my content is gonna be for the next month or so.
So, you know, I've got all these notebooks I want to say I watched from Let's see the playoffs from 1999 to 2000 and four and I got to the A F C divisional between New England and Indianapolis in 2000 for before it kind of stopped.
So, you know, we kind of got to the end of the football season and I moved on the basketball.
And now the thing that I'm doing is I'm watching.
This is I have a scoring system for Ah, basically every sport I watched except for hockey.
I'm not really big hot.
Not that I'm a big hot, not a hockey guy.
But I don't understand this sport enough to make my own score exist.
So there you go.
Here's the 2000 tenancy double tournament.
Maybe I could do Ah, video on this, I don't know.
But here you go.
I am, I am right now I am watching.
I'll show you what I'm watching right now.
I'm watching a second round game between Ohio State and Georgia Tech.
Ah, this is a very, very sloppy game right now.
Very, very sloppy.
Both teams are turning the ball over.
Both teams were not shooting the ball well.
Both teams were committing a lot of fouls, which means this is not gonna be a high rated game, Most likely.
So, um, this is Ah, 1010 Ohio State, Georgia Tech.
So this was think Ohio State that Evan Turner on this team.
If you remember those guys, George attack, Derrick favors Amman Shumpert who got some MBA players on on the Yellow Jackets side.
That was a team coached by Paul Hewitt.
Ah, Paul Hewitt did get to a Final Four in 2000 for Ah, that was man who was on that 2014.
It's like Jared.
Jack, who? Who else was on that team? Jared, Jack.
I got nothing else.
I remember they had this dunker named Mohammed and he could just don't the **** out of all.
They had somebody else who was good.
There was Jared Jack in another guard blanket on it, But 2004 they They beat Oklahoma State in the Final Four and they played Yukon in the national title game and they lost to UConn.
That Yukon team was absolutely stacked, absolutely loaded.
Ah, complacency was the reason why they were a two seed instead of a one Ben Gordon Makoko for love.
That so? Yeah, there you go.
Maybe that's the next video 2010 NC double tournament.
But I gotta finish watching it.
So I have one of the things that I do, you know? Here you go.
Here's here's the entire 2010 tournament right here.
I have all the DVDs of every game, not every game.
I just said every game, but not every game.
Oh, you no lie right there.
But, you know, um, I probably have I want to say 55 of the 60 plus games.
I'm only missing, like, 45 games.
So I have I have the entirety of pretty much every N c A A tournament since 2008.
Uh, and then I have, like, a bunch of games before that.
So I am absolutely out of my mind.
But this is why I'm the goat.
I do like go cheese, though goat cheese tastes good.
All right, that's the end of this video.
You'll get the 2010 tournament recap once I'm done with it.
I'm almost to the sweet 16 and I can't wait for the Sweet 16 because I cannot wait to relive Kansas State and Xavier.
You know, Gus can't wait for the calls.
Oh, I remember he I I swear.
Whose probably on cocaine during that game.
Going absolutely wild.
I love Gus Johnson.
I miss Gus Johnson calling tournament games.
Not gonna lie to you.
All right, Our major infect you amount of your piece.
