And welcome back to another broadcast.
I know how it has been a little while.
I have not done a broadcast since Thursday.
I got sidetracked a lot this week, and I know it said I did.
I was going to do the, uh, Broncos and Cowboys game, and I promise you I will.
That is still on target.
I was supposed to do that on Thursday, I think.
But I could not get that out.
I had some other stuff going on.
I just didn't, uh I wasn't able to get out.
I was outside doing yard work for a lot of the weekend, so I didn't really do any broadcast.
But Sport Show is going to resume.
I didn't do it this week, and I'm very sorry.
But first, before we get into this broadcast, which is news around the MLB at stake, you I say for during the broadcast and super Sam comment down below anything you would like to talk about him.
But I have not done a lot of broadcast lately, but I am going to be doing a broadcast, uh, later today, hopefully on the Cowboys Broncos.
That is my goal.
Thank you. Oh, dog. Awesome.
Oh! Oh, awesome.
You were the one that commented, I think, for the broadcast on Super Bowl 12.
That is going to be coming out, hopefully later today.
I know. I said I would do it on.
I have been kind of postponing a little bit.
So very sorry about that.
That is my goal in later today is to do that.
And then I also have a surprise for you guys on a Wednesday.
I'm looking into doing something a little bit new here on SportsCastr.
I'm not sure if I'm going to do it yet.
I will let you guys know tomorrow.
And a sports show will be up tomorrow on Tuesday for the broadcast, which we're going to be doing is going to be about NFC East predictions.
So we have a lot to talk about today.
Here on this broadcast.
This broadcast will last for about 25 minutes.
What's reducing? So the new thing I'm looking at is doing broadcasting a little bit of ah, something that I just kind of been doing lately.
It's not like it's kind of like Xbox, and I'm sure you guys have heard of We we You.
So I haven't I don't know how it's going to go.
I don't know if people are gonna like it or not, but I haven't think about commentating and having my brothers playing some.
Will you mark your card games? I'm not sure how it's gonna go.
So comment if you guys do like that, Yes.
Thank you. Wizard Warrior for during bracket.
I'm not sure if that's going toe work doing the marker thing.
I'm not really 100% on that yet.
That's why I'm kind of waiting to see you.
How do you do that? Because it's not sports.
Really? Yeah, I don't know.
It's kind of a little bit of commentating racing.
I'm looking is probably 50 50.
I haven't really thought about it.
It's not really that much sports, so I might not do it.
And I might stick to doing Xbox and this for the rest of kind of until we get normal sports back.
Or I might download some some of the other NASCAR races kind of trying to do.
Ah, that on Xbox too.
So I have some ideas, but yeah, like you said, Isaac, Thank you for the feedback.
It's not really sport, so I don't think I'm going to do it.
But I'm still unsure.
But it to the MLB news.
So I actually have I actually have a lot of talk a lot to talk about here in this 30 minute broadcast, just thinking about this, Really.
I mean, the MLB has had a lot going on without its league being, uh, right now going on right now, there is just this is sudden.
There's just no no way toe really understand.
Unless you listen.
Listen to what MLB is doing right now because there's a lot going on in the MLB first wall.
Blakes now is a big topic to talk about.
If you're if you like MLB, that's a big topic to talk about.
Blake Snell is probably the most popular player right now around the MLB because of his comments about the MLB and what he said. So Blakes.
Now I am, I am so against what he said that I can't even put it into words, really.
I mean, what he said is just so it's just it's really just stupid.
It really just makes absolutely no sense what he the words that came out of his mouth make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
And he doesn't even understand what he's saying There.
He's saying It's silly, It's just so silly.
He is saying that he is going to risk his life by playing for half his salary.
So let's see what Blake Snows salary is.
Actually, I believe it's $1 million 50 million, five year contract, which means he's getting a $10 million a year.
So that means that if you cut that in half, let's see he's getting five million instead of 10 million year and you're risking your life. Blakes.
Now that is so silly.
That is the most silliest thing I've ever heard.
It's just it doesn't make any sense.
I mean, Constable, if you were the what he has said saying makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Blakes now is telling me and telling everybody else that he's gonna risk his life by playing for $5 million.
What really that is so silly.
Half the world is struggling to make money and struggling to make ends meet to just survive, and you're complaining about making that much money.
You're complaining that your salaries cut in half, but I said it perfectly.
What he said, decisional.
They should just be quiet and just not go about talking.
That's what the MLB's player associations for.
You talk amongst yourself.
Don't put it out to the public because we don't want to know what you got to say because you're just jeopardizing everything.
The owners have agreed to this contract of split revenues 50 50 that salary.
If that's cut in half, that's five million.
That is so silly.
And what he said just absolutely so terrible.
Just just to think that that was OK to say what he said.
And then, on the other hand, you have Bryce Harper agreeing with him.
And, oh, people are like, Oh, Bryce Harper Oh, why is he angry with Blakes now? Maybe because he's making $230 million he's contract is so absurd that if you cut his money in half, he's still making more than half the people in the world.
It's normal and I'm not saying that these are bad people because Blakes now and Bryce Harper, great players.
I'm not saying that they're bad people, but these are terrible comments to say This is terrible, terrible for these two people to save it.
It's terrible for the MLB Players Association.
They It is terrible for all off and will be for them to say this and go out there and do that.
I don't think that they should ever say something like this again.
I think that is so, so terrible to think that.
And I think that Sam is on my side. Simple Reese.
We both just talked about it.
I mean, it is crazy that they think this is okay.
Took Teoh, even think that they're cutting their salary and 1/2 is risking your life like it's just It's so absurd and it's so crazy and I can't say it enough, Bryce Harper said.
Someone had to say it, Yeah, why? Why would someone have to tell us that cutting their salary and 1/2 is going to hurt you? It's not going to hurt you whatsoever.
If you want to play baseball and you want to play and you want to really play, you're going to not say these kind of things and you're going to go out there and you're gonna actually probably offer up some of your money like hello.
We should not have toe ask half the players for their money.
Players of the league like Mookie Betts, Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, the front line players.
A lead should be asking MLB if they need some of their money.
That's what I would do if I was a player, and that is silly and you don't have to offer up your money.
But when they're asking for you should 100% being on it.
And it's a different story for the rookies and the players that are barely making enough money and art making rude remarks like this.
This is crazy what they're saying and so absurd.
And it's so crazy, and I have no idea how they even think that's that's within realms off what reality is.
I'm risking my life out there, okay? Someone I can agree.
If you were to get the virus.
Hopefully the hopeful not, but you know, if you were to get the virus, think about it.
You're still risking your life and you're still getting money.
So I mean, it's crazy for them to think that swimming in a cellar in half is going to affect them.
It's so I believe you get seven million this year, something like that.
Seven million dollars.
Could that unhappiness three have 1,000,000? All that's so tough that that's and no longer do.
I even think that MLB's, uh, I think that and will be is not even going toe their main problem as thank you, Robert T. J.
Yeah, they're they're number one problem for MLB.
I don't think is no longer trying to avoid the virus and trying to get things to work, because I think what they're going, where they're putting in place is going to her.
I think their biggest problem is the MLB Players Association and trying to get them to agree.
That is certainly the biggest problem, and it's just so so crazy to think that what they said and it's just they need to just be quiet and they need toe.
Let this thing play out, and I think that they're fighting over money like this is so silly.
Do you wanna play or not? The bottom line is, would you like to play or not? Because you can't play without reducing your salary let me tell you that there's no other way.
MLB What? Everybody comes from deep money and they're not making any of that because they're not making any revenue because nobody is going to be in the stands watching the game.
The only money they're gonna make is pretty much from television viewers, which is gonna skyrocket this year, incredibly, because people are just gonna wanna watch baseball if we have a season and heart.
Bryce Harper, Nolan Aaron out Support place Ellen produced pay salary.
He's speaking the truth.
That is not the truth that is just so far out of reality and what he is saying, It's crazy, said one day after race.
Starting pitcher said he would not play season If his parrot is good, you don't have to play the hell.
They will be fine without you.
You are a little piece to the puzzle off the MLB.
Without him, the MLB still fine.
They're fun and I don't care.
Raise You know you're not gonna play without celery.
That's your fault.
You're still making $5 million.
It be another case if you are already making less than a 1,000,000 weigh less and if you were cutting that in half, and then that was really not even a normal salary and you weren't able to survive.
I perfectly that is so silly.
And it is so crazy.
Don't play then.
I mean, that is the only thing I could say anymore is do not play baseball if you're gonna if you're really gonna be upset about money and I know it's hard to say, it's not about the money, but it really isn't.
And I know in a ah, what we have here is just so crazy.
But, you know, it really is about playing the fans.
Just baseball is just a game of the past.
I'm a game of America and you're fighting over money and you're not gonna play because you're making what half your salary, which is 3.5 $1,000,000.
And there's certainly cool and just Sam as well on here.
If you still here.
And there's a bunch of people around the world play people that don't play baseball and that don't make that kind of money agree.
And then there's also people on the other side little this way and make points that they think are valid.
But, you know, the bottom line is, if you're not gonna play baseball for 3.
5 $1,000,000 then that is your fault.
And, you know, I think that this would be a whole nother story if oh, it was.
If nobody agreed with Blakes now that way wouldn't have any of this kind of problem.
But people more other than Blakes now that seemed to be out of the pack are agreeing with him.
And it's just it's just crazy.
And like I said, I feel for those rookies because they're hurting the workings.
They're hurting the players from the mire lead, trying to get up into the major leagues.
Thank you, Robert J.
1974 for the tip of TENDEX.
They're hurting the players trying to get into the league.
They're really hurting the players trying to get into the league because of this, because the players that are in Double A and Triple A and a trying to get in from different leagues and stuff trying to get into the Amobi, you're hurting them because we might have a baseball season and they might not make the bunny money.
They need to live because of them and that's selfish.
So it's so not only is it selfish, not only is it hurting you, it's hurting them.
It's hurting the fans.
It's hurting the MLB Players Association.
People need sports.
People need to rely on sports.
We're going through a pandemic right now and I'm telling you that people need to watch sports.
People are at home and they have nothing to do.
They need toe watch sports.
We need sports back and we will seem.
Or if we can do, I'm starting to tell you that if we realised MLB can be the first sport back.
And these players are the only thing stopping MLB from going through with this plan and that is a terrible, terrible thing that MLB is being stopped by the Players Association.
So they're stopping and will be from playing their stopping fans from watching because you might even get new people watching baseball because you could be the 1st 4 to resume and people might just book for something to watch because it will be really the only thing on TV.
We're seeing other sports trying to resume and they don't have as big a problem as the MLB.
There was something about each game Employees supposed to lose $640,000.
Like everyone sport football, we hear that the Packers have 348 million dollars.
I think toe help with the NFL if they need relief like MLB is going through such tough times right now with these players and not being able to just agree with the owners and this proposal.
And you know it is tough for some of the players, but it should not be easy. Teoh.
It should not be tough for these kind of players like Bryce Harper like Blakes now, and it's just one year.
It's not like we're asking for the rest of your life to do this, which even that 1 p.
It's just crazy that they think this is just absurd.
And we're gonna move on now because I've said enough.
I certainly have about this moving on to the MLB's uh, safety proposal.
So now that they have gone through a T, least the owners have, with baseball's new plan to resume, play or really start play, uh, we already for the safety protocol, and this is big because this is going to change baseball for the future.
So this is why ESPN Jeff pass on Major League Baseball's ambitious return to play plans during the Crown virus pandemic, including per spot processing and upward of 10,000 cove in 19 test per week.
Overhauling stadiums and in game settings to encourage social distancing and rigor.
Rigorous rules intended to prevent the spread off Cove in 19 according to the draft of the league's Health and Safety Manual obtained by ESPN.
And this do***ent, which is missing missing multiple sections, will swell beyond its roast 67 pages, one complete.
In this form, it's still highly detailed roadmap that will require a staggering amount of effort to complete the complete before the least hopeful Mid June returned facilities in early July opening day.
So this is what we're looking at here is we're looking at no spitting.
We're looking at no hugs from broke all his stuff like that.
Lauren at 38 from the breakfast roll again, uh, travel being reduced.
Ah, high five space bumps and hopes will be prohibited.
As with spitting tobacco use chewing sunflower seeds of reading this off of ESPN.
Um, fuelers would be encouraged to retreat several steps from the base runner or, um, pie erskine me from the base runner between pitches.
You know what this says If they're going to be near them during place, tagging them, literally, tagging them with a glove, getting them out right next to them.
It doesn't matter.
If one play against them during game, they could all get it.
And if you're already next to them during a play and you go on after, you're still already have been near them so that I think it's kind of silly and I don't really agree with that, but they're saying they're encouraging, too.
So I'm guessing they're not forcing them to.
I think you know you can't do too many changes because baseball will be a laughingstock.
It'll be a joke.
But you know, whatever you can't, um, it's just, uh, first and third base coaches Air not allowed to approach based Warner's or umpires and the players shall not should not socialize with opponents that that is the big one.
Thank you, Lauren. L.
Look oh, should not socialize with opponents that's a big one, because that that happens a lot during MLB games, and I think it's kind of crazy to get rid of that.
So I went, I would for go those two rules right there, the seven away from base runners I think you got to do with Kubo's doing.
I don't think there during those two I don't know spitting and so far seizes.
All these rules are huge, spinning some far seeds and stuff.
That's a big one, because that is a normal habit that you gotta forego cold, perky so that stuff players will be discouraged from showering at stadiums.
That's not too bad.
After years, it would not be allowed to take taxis or used ride sharing app on the road.
Teams were asked to respond, but they're suggested input by May 22nd which is five days away.
The protocols were written by L.
B or soon actually for by MLB senior vice president Patrick Hoolahan, Brian Steele, Seeley and Chris Young and Vice President John Coils.
Young is a foreign pressure retired of from 27 season, so the biggest, the biggest one is about to.
I'm about to show you the big part of this, this is huge.
Players were required it where masked everywhere except on the field and during strains, activities their activities outside the stables, which eats, too, particularly on the road.
But they would not be allowed to leave the hotel and restaurants, even at home.
Here's the big one.
After I just read this last thing Ah, a bone will be thrown away after is touched by multiple players and throwing the ball around the infield will be discouraged.
So that's another big one.
Pictures would have their own set of balls to throw during bullpen sessions and personal row baseballs with mud for the empire's much use gloves.
I'm thinking, How far are we going to go for a baseball season? Is it really worth it in the end, losing all this money and stuff, but again, keeping in mind what the fans want to see.
What we want to see is also a big one, so I really don't know.
But, uh, that back to when I was going to talk about this is a big one, and this was reported by, uh, missing in live.
I believe I believe that's what the website is called, but is very is very interesting that Ah, MLB is going on the path they're going so trying to do as best they can to slow the spread of the coronavirus with Emily.
Hopefully, um, so I'll be Thank you for the tip of 20 ticks.
You have the hattrick following joining and sending a chip.
So this is Michigan live.
And they reported this from the MLB.
I'm I'm pretty sure this is a good so m of the protocols means no spitting.
And guess what? No fighting.
So this means that if there were to be some sort of an incident, let's see, somebody got hit by a pitch on on purpose and are bad flips go up and stuff like that.
I think that is crazy.
I think you can.
I don't know if MLB will be able to do without fighting.
I don't know why that is the big one.
I just don't think that will be able to happen.
So that's just it seems crazy.
No, it just seems e don't know.
I think you have to let fighting happen.
You know, the rarities that it happens during in 100 game season or what you're proposing is very rare.
So I don't know if we were going to see that happen.
I think it's crazy that that we could do without fighting.
I think fighting has toe happen at some point in the season, and, you know, even though they're going to be near each other and fists are going to go find stuff, I believe that.
You know, as much as we try and stop this Corona virus, there will be people that get Emily.
We can't say there's not going to be so I do think you have to do with fighting and I don't know if there's fighting in the Kubo common double.
If there is a money there for sure.
But I know that I tie Wayne Baseball League.
I believe there was fighting, you know, bras and stuff.
I believe that that is, that is part of baseball and that is something we cannot change along with the tobacco city and stuff.
You know, we can either take three different approaches.
We either completely shut baseball down for this year and we cancel the season, which will be the bottom line.
Worst thing we could Dio.
Then there's the one where we just go at it.
We just play it like it's normal.
But which probably also will not happen where you know South.
Some part of me says, you know it isn't even worth that should be just shut this holding down and as a fan, I really don't want to see that.
But another part of me says, You know, let's just try and make it as best as it can get And then there's another part of me.
This is all, like 33%.
All these, another part of me that's saying Let's just play it normal and you know, players were going to get it, But we have to try and keep a limited.
It's gonna happen.
So you know that is that Those are the three parts of I think, every person who watch baseball, You know, there's part of me that wants to see baseball go on normal and wants to see that spinning in that tobacco flying hand.
Uh, not really, that much of it but just seeing that was fight seeing a normal baseball game.
There's part of me that wants to see fans in the game, and obviously that will not happen this year.
There's part. There's, ah, 100%.
I wish this could never happen and I could just wish we'd be all all out of baseball game Right now.
I wish that we could all be watching a baseball game and I could by you all tickets, the one or somebody could buy a Celtic.
It's the one that that's honestly what I wish, and I know it's It's tough to think about that, and it's tough for everyone stuff.
For every person who's ever watched baseball or whoever has just played it or whatever.
It's tough to not, and especially for like younger people.
That plan, like Little League and stuff, is tough for everybody.
But, you know, I just don't know.
I think that if you were to end the league this year and cancel it, what would that do for the players? They're not gonna have practiced this year.
Everybody's gonna be rusty come next year, but I do think that it is crazy to go down fighting uh, I just feel like it's just insane to not go with the normal stuff, so I'm But it's just I don't know.
So the bats of Blakes.
Now, this is what boy Self said here from Sports Illustrated.
I'm not playing less.
Okay? That's just the way it is for me.
Snow said on his Twitter account.
Like, I'm sorry.
You guys think differently, but the risk is beep higher than the amount of money I'm making his way lower.
Why do you think I'm what? Excuse me? Why would I think about doing that? That that is crazy because you're making what, at least $500,000.
That's still a lot of money for one year.
It would be worth the risk during the wake of the core of ours.
So you're telling me that you're gonna think less money you're still gonna survive, but it's not worth the risk.
Um, I don't know.
Uh, here's no one there.
I think he was being honest.
Just being real, you made a lot of good points.
Told I Renato or now told the athletics Ken Rosenthal, I could make so many valid points about why that's wrong.
Here are some points you made were true that of the facts.
Ah, lot of economists perceived trying to get the public donors just it's not gonna work well in our favor.
I certainly don't understand what they were going out on.
I could certainly narrow down my opinion and say that, you know? Okay, they are going through tough times, but, you know, and I do understand that, but, you know, I still do think that what Snow said was crazy and what not what everybody is saying, At least from standpoint of the Alavi players that agree with him, I think it's just crazy.
But, you know, that is pretty much it for our broadcast.
We're going to continue here.
We've got about three minutes left to this one.
But, you know, but this has been a very interesting and will be last month or so with MLB proposals going on and safety guidelines and everything my ultimate season would be on, and I have to come up with some sort of a idea for this because I don't know how this will go.
But some sort of a proposal where the players would play a certain amount of games if each month and it would go on till problem.
The regular season will end on October and then we'd have the Northern teams playing November at neutral sites and, you know, I really don't know.
I wish we could just have one big stadium.
Have are a few big stadiums of one place that seems really realistic and that having the players all cooped up in a hotel or something, I don't really know what we would dio.
That's something to think about.
Just what a few big hotels around Arizona, because the Arizona governor said that he'd be open to having baseball play there.
I think that that might be a more valuable plan to look at something that MLB will again look at, most likely if this plan does not go through, it certainly is not going to go through from the angle of the Players Association.
I was very optimistic and hoping that it would, but the MLB Players Association isn't gonna agree with this.
Alisa's three that I just sent a Renato Snell and Harper are definitely not agreeing with this, so I don't know how many MLB players would There's certainly a good amount that that will end up agreeing.
I just don't know out of the what 2000 plus players, how many are gonna group that? I believe this one, right? This mother.
Two dozen, right? No.
19,000 women saying, That's how many players in the MLB I don't even know.
There's 750 getting those two, Really.
We're at least gonna see 300 plus disagree, So that's pretty much it for this broadcast.
I hope you guys did enjoy.
We talked about sports and MLB's proposal to come back very interesting.
What they want to see.
It will be a very interesting toe.
Watch and learn from what the Kubo is doing.
Like I said, some Kubo games.
I I don't think I'm gonna do tomorrow car.
I thought a little bit more about it.
I don't think I'm going to commentate on that, cause it's not really sports.
But, you know, maybe some NASCAR and Xbox, something like that.
You know, anything that could grab people's attention to look at more sports, stuff like that.
We're gonna have manning game, so let me actually lay out my skin before us.
So my schedule is going to be to start with tonight doing the Broncos Cowboys game.
So if you're still here, are Bodog awesome? I don't know if you are.
That is the goal for tonight to do that broadcast.
And then for tomorrow, the show SportsCastr show on my sports show is going to be cowboy or excuse me is going to be Yeah, Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, Giants, NFC East predictions.
And then Wednesday, I'm looking at the LDS Final five innings from 2018 with the Red Sox and the Yankees finishing that up.
And then Thursday will be the sports show F C West.
And actually, we might have yields venom on for tomorrow with me.
And then Friday's looking at doing wrapping up probably the throwback that I'm going to do today, the Cowboys and Broncos robbing that one up.
But if everything goes this plan, that's what I'll look like also some little broadcasts in between.
But that is all for today.
I hope you guys enjoy this broadcast CC stay strong and I may even signing off
