What's that was that was checking back in.
Ah, don't think I've done a stream this week.
Maybe I did one earlier in the week, but good to see you.
Um, I saw this article pop up last night, and I do Ah, podcast for the Brooklyn Nets about the Brooklyn Nets called talking nets.
And I tweeted out that I can't wait till next episode because we recorded yesterday before this story came out, and I can't wait to talk about it.
So in not being, um, or in on the fat Why I can't talk saying I can't wait to talk about it.
I'm gonna talk about it now so we don't have to wait until next Wednesday to record when the news isn't hot.
So the title of this article by Bruno Our guy Bruno Manrique The headline reads Timberwolves D'Angelo, Russell throws shade at former Nets coach Kenny Atkinson.
Now you guys know where we're at with Kenny Atkinson.
Kenny got fired.
Kenny is unemployed as faras being an m b A coach.
Who knows what can he's doing? I wish, Kenny Well, I'm one that defends Kenny.
I was upset when the Nets made the move to fire him when they did, basically signaling that the season was over for the Brooklyn Nets.
Basically the ah, front office telling the fans, Hey, we don't care what happens this year were on the 2021 Kenny, help develop this.
That's team, If you look behind me black out in Brooklyn, yeah, can.
He helped develop this Brooklyn team? That's from, Ah, 2000 and 13.
Kenny came in not long after that, but he basically came in with no pics, no superstars.
And he helped develop the culture that we've gotten to know.
Ah, with the Brooklyn Nets, the dancing on the sideline, whooping it up, that fun hip hop energy, uh, rep in Brooklyn.
Just that swagger in that style that look what it did.
It attracted Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets.
Now I give Kenny all the credit for that.
I give credit to Kenny Anderson for more than that.
You know, coaching a lot of these guys in developing these guys like Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Caris, Levert de lo.
You fall under that, too, and I'll never understand why there's so many young Nets fans that stand this guy.
There are de lo stands for you that don't know the term stand Dear Slim.
I wrote you, but you're still in call.
Stan was Eminem's number one fan.
There's a bunch of deal Oh, stands.
I just are obsessed with them.
Now Don't get me wrong.
The kid is cold ice in his veins.
Let's go through his career, though.
Right? Drafted by the Lakers high pick.
And I thought he was drafted higher than he really was worth.
But high pick doesn't work out with the Lakers.
I love any chance I get to throw out there that he was a snitch.
He recorded swaggy p on Snapchat when Swaggy was dating Iggy Azalea or ah, is that her name? Something like that.
The rapper Ah, And that made headlines.
And that made him look bad in N B A locker rooms and in the n b. A community.
It's like, you know, you don't do that.
Kobe didn't want him around.
That was rumored.
They got him up out of there.
He comes to the nets and the nets were, ah, huge part of his maturation process and you have to give that credit to Kenny.
You can't say that, can he didn't do anything for him.
So I have a problem with the low, um, taking shots at Kenny during a pandemic while we're shut down talking to the athletic.
Kenny has been fired for months without, ah, head coaching job.
There's no need for you to throw any shade at Kenny Atkinson.
I Let's get into the article a little bit.
Basically, D'Angelo Russell was talking to the athletic and he said he wasn't gonna give it to him.
He wasn't gonna give Kenny credit for like like he still holding something.
Now That's immature, right? He's still holding some feelings against Kenny.
And instead of saying them a year ago two years ago, he waits until now to express these feelings.
Here's a quote says Brooklyn was a place that he needed a swell as Brooklyn needed him.
That's from Antonio Russell Jr.
Um, D'Angelo's older brother.
They were able to mould each other and build each other up.
Okay, I guess you could say that.
But when he landed with us, he was hurt, and then he became an all star and Kenny was instrumental in him becoming an All Star.
But he says I'm not going to give it to Kenny.
I still don't think he knew what he had.
Honestly, I don't think he knew what I was capable of in the fourth quarter.
Kenny has made some questionable decisions in the fourth quarter, but you're not alone.
We've seen caress on the bench in the fourth quarter when we felt like he was supposed to be in.
We've seen Spencer Dinwiddie on the bench in the fourth quarter when he felt like he was supposed to be in.
Can you make exchanges? And you gotta learn from him when he sits you down? Um, honestly, bro, if you were that great, why are you on your third team in four years? Clearly, the Lakers didn't think you had it.
Um, the warriors who you went to after us.
You were on one of the worst teams in the league.
They got you up out of there, and then you land on Timberwolves, and we haven't really got to see what what that's gonna be like.
I was extremely happy for you to land with Karl Anthony.
Towns Well, bro, if you know if you have this feeling that Kenny Kenny didn't know what you have, I think you know the entire league is looking at you like that, too.
So I really don't get why he's kicking Kenny while he's down.
I really don't see the the angle in saying that.
Kenny didn't know what he had in me.
Um, what else do I got here? I don't know.
I'm just looking at this guy.
He's had a couple instagram lives.
He's had a couple of moments during this pandemic where it's just, like, say less.
And all of these MBA players should be saying less.
All these MBA players should be holding like their comments.
Ifit's a thing like this.
If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all, right? Save some of your comments.
Save some of your comments.
D'Angelo Russell that are not going to make you look good at all.
Right? When you were in Brooklyn, you became an All Star with us.
Carrie Scott, her Spencer got hurt and you were the a one guy.
You were the guy that had the ball in his hands.
You had some epic moments with us.
The Sacramento Kings game.
There were games where you took over.
There was games where you hit seven threes in the first quarter and Kenny sat you down.
Now, that's part of your maturation process, right? You're not bigger than the team.
Maybe Kenny was trying to, um, save you for the fourth quarter.
Maybe Kenny was tryingto teach you something.
He taught a lot of lessons, and Ah, Kenny was a good coach and helped build up this Brooklyn culture that has now attracted to of the top 15 players in the world.
And you will see, I don't want to hear any more of this deal.
Oh, versus Kyrie stuff where people are saying, Oh, the Nets would have been better off with the low than Kyrie.
We didn't need Kyrie, not dude.
When Katie and Cairo your plan, we had to give up the low to get Katie.
And I'm more than happy with that.
Ah, you delusional stands.
Gotta come off that a little bit.
This guy's good.
He's got ice in his veins.
But he had to go and look how he's talking about his former coach like he still has it all the way.
He's not all the way a pro yet, and he still got some growing up to do.
So that's all I got to say about DeAngelo Russell.
Someone's gotta defend Kenny Atkinson.
Someone's got to defend the Brooklyn Nets.
D'Angelo Russell saying what he said about Kenny not giving it to him.
You could have just said nothing at all, bro.
You didn't have to take any shots that Kenny saying he didn't know what you had in the fourth quarter.
Show us we can't wait to the n b.
