This is Yard Barker's Chris Muller.
The 2020 NFL draft is in the rear view mirror, which means, of course, it's time to take a look ahead.
At 2021 this year's draft was defined by two big names at quarterback near the top of the board, and next year figures to be more off the same.
So with that in mind, let's take a look at the three players most likely to go number one overall in the 2021 NFL draft.
The draft is, of course, determined by the needs of the team that has the top overall pick.
With that in mind, Oregon tackle Panay Sewell could well be first off the board in 2021 2019.
Sewell won the Outland Trophy, given to the nation's best interior linemen on either side of the ball, and he was only a sop****re.
If a team picking number one overall already has a franchise quarterback in place, Sewell could very well be their choice.
Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has prototype size at 63 to 20.
He had crazy numbers for the Buckeyes in 2019 thrown 41 touchdowns against just three interceptions and adding 10 rushing touchdowns in as well.
Feels is a true dual threat quarterback, but he also has the arm talent in the knowledge to hit the ground running in the NFL.
If he has a huge season in Columbus and leads Ohio State to a national title, he could easily go first Overall.
The odds on favorite, however, to be the number one pick is still Clemson's Trevor Lawrence at 66 to 20 with a great arm.
Good mobility, Lawrence is the total package.
He's the prototype that NFL scouts are looking for at quarterback.
He's got 66 touchdowns against just 12 interceptions in two seasons for the Tigers, and most feel he has not come close to tapping into his full potential.
When most general managers envisioned the guy they want leading their franchise, they tend to think of players like Trevor Lawrence.
So there you have it.
Three potential top overall picks in the 2021 NFL draft for yard Barker.
