I'm currently joined by the Baltimore Raven.
Bronson Reich Steiner, Bronze. And first of all, congratulations.
Make things were doing this.
Thank you, guys.
So tell me a little bit about what brought you to Kennesaw State.
It's a FCS school for those who don't know about in Georgia.
So what made Ugo there and how did um, maybe how did your high school any other offers that you had? Um so how did you just end up there in general? Um, first of all, the coaches and staff, there were great people, and, uh, I can't song local to me where I grew up.
Microbe in Acworth is about 15 minutes away from the university.
So it was a local thing to, um, you know, the community and the people around.
They're great people.
I just thought it was the the right move for me to make it.
Um, you know, I had other options at the time, but that that was the best option for me.
And that's what I went with.
And I saw some of your film and my God Almighty, you and your dad or a carbon copy of each other.
I thought of Mike All Star when I saw it when I saw you play.
Um, you big physical.
Not that solace, but just a John Norman, this behemoth of a man.
My God, I don't mean to sound like I got a man crush on your anything, but watching you play is a lot of fun.
Like I said, Mike, also, I was kind of who you reminded me of.
Is there someone that you kind of model yourself after? I mean, I would I would say, Bill Goldberg.
Probably, though he played University of Georgia, and then he played for the Falcons.
And then, you know, most everybody knows him for being a Debbie Debbie wrestler, and, you know, that's how I got to know to show Is it potentially is something I always try to match.
And, um, you know, he was He was a phenomenal athlete.
So, and those who don't know just over 900 rushing yards, seven touchdowns.
You threw a touchdown last year.
Did you throw a touchdown last year? I was peeping your stats and it said that you Yeah.
So, what do you think that overall mean? You look of the running backs and fullbacks currently on the Ravens roster.
Mark Ingram, They Dr J.
Dobbins that, you know, should you know, come September October whenever we get this thing started.
Uh, what different element do you bring? Those guys don't in terms of kind of how you balance each other.
I mean, I don't know, quite bring something that those guys don't get better step of its and, uh, no.
I mean, those guys actually speak for cells.
So, um, you know, I just hope my picking tomato and contribute to the team is overall success.
I mean, that's all I'm looking to do, man.
I'm just looking to give it my best shot and go make a roster.
And, uh, you know what? Whichever wherever the coaches and everybody sees me, um, you know, best fit team.
Whether that's full backpacker running back and or wherever they, you know, you know that the whole process of you go in the Baltimore comes from a really talk to you.
Who got a hold of you first? Oh, it was just I talked to numerous coaches from the there and I talked coach horrible a few times.
Um, build a relationship with him, and, uh, they were just kind of communicating some things about where the seamy fit and how they want to use me.
And, uh, you know, things like that.
And they, you know, they were excited about me, and, uh, you know, I'm excited about them.
So I didn't want to make this focal point of the interview, but I'd be remiss to not ask you about what it was like growing up in a wrestling family, Cause for this go No.
Bronson's father, it Rick Steiner, his uncle with Scott Steiner.
Both of them performed in various promotions, including W W and C.
And so what was that like? And how did that kind of influence your athletic career? Um, yeah, it was cool.
Um, you know, the the expectation was really high for me and my brothers growing up in athletics and stuff.
So, um, you know, things were challenging and things were tough.
My dad was pretty tough, honest, but maybe hope him today.
And, uh, you know, I mean, I appreciate everything he's done for me, and, uh, you know, it's a cool process, and I'm happy that Teoh get this opportunity, you know, Now And you know, for myself.
And, um, you know, in another sport so far after you being sign, have any Baltimore player reached out to you since you were signed it, You know, just one up.
Um, not not from, uh, really means.
Former guys I've played with guys like that reach out.
And congratulations and stuff to me.
So take me back to your college days in terms off.
Um, what do you think that your best performance was? Maybe this past season? Um, and kind of, uh I mean, I would say stance wise.
We don't know. Stats guy.
Um, I probably say Missouri stay because I rushed for, like, 202 100 yards, my best performance overall, in my opinion.
And I think it was against Hampton University.
My Russian cuts down like, 50 or 60 yards out.
I have 15 knockdowns in that game, which was probably doesn't know that that's just absolutely absurd in terms that's go watch his go watch his highlights on.
I think you get planning on ESPN dot com.
It's just fun to watch you battering everybody around.
I loved every second of it having for this? Did your pops and uncle ever? No.
Did you ever consider getting into this to that business? I probably will.
When I'm done with football.
Um, I'm gonna think football as far as I can, and as long as I can, and it when it remember, it's time for you hang up clean.
So all of you know, wrestling will be there for me.
So that's that's, like a definite thing that you would want to do after football's done.
Um, yeah, we'll see what happens.
I, uh you know, I'm not really thinking about wrestling, really? It all right now.
I mean, I'm focused on football, and you know, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Won't small.
So I've got so many different questions about that that I won't ask you.
I don't want to focus that around it, though, because obviously I could talk football with you all day long, so I'll ask you one more.
I feel like I'm just one more intemperate wrestling, and then we'll get past that.
So growing up I've heard I see ah bunch of guys being around, and that's just kind of how he got appointed, were you the same way where there are, You know, a bunch of different guys around your dad, your uncle that you kind of got acquainted with.
And you were you were you kind of like the kid running around the locker of them.
Oh, I believe it.
I didn't really go to a lot of my dad's pressing stuff.
I was little young brothers that are older.
They're gonna get to G o.
Um, I went to some of this stuff when he wasn t and a, you know, that was kind of later on in 7 4008 but I didn't really, really get to go.
Um, you know, as much as I probably wanted Teoh, But I build a relationship with I am for the rustlers from that generation.
And, uh, you know, I stay in contact with a person, so all right, so acts a football, then what in terms of, you know, an off steam program right now.
Are you gonna be able to participate him? Obviously, with the looming situation around the world right now, it's hard to do much of anything.
So has there been a plan set in place for Baltimore in terms of any sort of, you know, rookie offseason programs or just team offseason programs altogether.
Um is for us all that I mean, I I know that things were gonna be virtual just because of the virus and stuff, but I you I do not know.
Um, pretty much anything further demanded because of you're I'm sure those guys air busy up the air drafts two days ago, so they're probably doing there.
Probably busy as hell, So I'll just whenever they let me know, You know what I mean? I'm just gonna go with the flow and do what I'm supposed to dio.
Well, I'm a gotta let you know this ahead of time.
I'm a Steeler fan, so I hope you make the squad.
But if you do, you know, um, when you head over to Pittsburgh, I gotta root against you.
Hope that that's all forgiven.
So Alright, Bronson, appreciate you.
Give me a little bit of your time.
I just wanted everybody get acquainted with you.
Wish you good luck in this entire process.
Um, hopefully we can all get to witness that sooner rather than later.
With this entire pandemic going on.
But good luck to your brother of everything goes well for the welcome to coming on whenever you'd like.
Okay? Yeah. Thank you, guys. Thanks for having me.
No one took the It is.
