when the Philadelphia Eagles initially hired Doug Peterson.
I like probably 99% of the city hated the higher ****ed it.
And then he's the guy who wound up leading the birds to their first suitable title.
It was Doug Peterson.
You know what I also did at the time of the hiring? I wrote a paper I wrote like a 23 page paper.
We're actually looked at the other side of the argument.
I looked at the positive sides of Doug Peterson.
I looked into how it could potentially work out in Philadelphia.
I looked at, you know, per Dr Sets.
Hey, had been the, uh, he had been calling plays in the second half of games for the Chiefs, and I forget what season was.
But the year before, I guess it was 2015.
You're before he got hired.
And the Chiefs were just rattle off a lot of points in the second half of these games, and he was called some really great games anyway, pointless.
I like every one of you in Philadelphia.
I disagree about what the Eagles did tonight.
There's gonna be a lot of passionate rants that you're gonna here.
And you know I am.
I am going to try and look at another side of this argument.
Just try to rationalize, because everyone's going to say, give you the same stuff.
I'm not gonna give you the same stuff.
I'm gonna try to do something.
Let's try and look it what they're trying to do.
All right? So obviously we know about Taysom Hill.
Uh, how New Orleans utilizes him now.
He was somebody who was undrafted out of Ah, you went BYU.
And they just, you know, they use them as a receiver.
The running back throws the ball, he's just a dynamic weapon.
And, um, you know, this is kind of like Taysom Hill, but but this could be something even more.
Um, Now, I don't know where the NFL is going to be going, like, say, 5 to 10 years from now.
And this isn't something that the Eagles are going to do because, uh, they have Carson Wentz and he's he's the guy.
He's the outfit mail.
But, you know, we see more and more of this where quarterbacks like, you know, the backup will see snaps Marcus Mariota when he was the backup he still saw snaps in Tennessee, the New Orleans, and it's like I remember it.
We always talked about that sort of thing in the college game.
I forget what teams would do it.
You know that the experts would always be vehemently against it because it was against tradition and it would buck tradition.
And, um, you know, you know, you don't go against tradition, you have to do what's right and look again.
At 53 there were guys like Jeremy Chin on the board.
There were good cornerbacks on the board.
There was wide receivers on the board and they shocked the world.
So all right, so let's try and figure out what they're trying to do here.
Okay? So where the NFL could be going, say, 5 to 10 years from now that there was a a college program at, um the F B s level by the name of Louisiana on Louisiana Monroe in the Sun Belt conference, the warhawks as they called and and this was a program they used to quarterbacks at a time.
Um and I'm not saying that this is gonna be something that you know the NFL does or anything, but in terms of more gim**** plays and more gadget, please.
This could be something that the NFL dives into.
And, um, I look at Jalen hurts and you know, he is somebody who is the ultimate professional.
The ultimate team.
Got to think about what he did in that was the SEC championship last year to fill in for to a Taco Viloca and to win the game for Alabama.
And then, you know, like this dude is special in terms of his character.
So he is somebody who isn't going to have enough of the Niego where he, you know, he knows he's going on those rolling.
And look, if he turns out to be something, you know, special here, where he turns out to be something good for the Eagles and becomes ischemic player.
I'll get into that later, I guess.
But if he turns into something, you know, maybe you can trade him for something down the line.
You know, you got a first round pick out of it.
Somebody really needs quarterback.
And you know, that's the guy that they want.
You know, maybe that's to play, but going back to, you know, where the NFL could be going that this is a separate discussion from from the Eagles one.
But just thinking about what the San Francisco 40 Niners did, Uh, this year, with the running back situation, then in the platoon.
I mean, what what if their teams out there? I mean, we were seeing Lamar Jackson, for instance, and and how he's revolutionizing the NFL with his legs and our obviously and throw the ball as well, a lot more accurate this year.
Which is why you won the M V p really, really worked on it, honed in on his craft and God's where he needed to be.
But what if we're looking at a situation here where we're almost looking at, like a platoon system at the quarterback position where you get draft one guy who is like your running quarterback and then the other guy is your is your more your prototypical thrower? Uh, and use both guys? You know, almost where you know.
Let's say you're a team that likes to run the football, and you like to, you know, obviously pound the ground, pound the ball in this mission, and you want to use that running quarterback, uh, as as your guy. Right.
Well, let's say you fall behind and you really can't use that running quarterback anymore.
You need somebody to get you back into the game.
That's where you would go to your past thrower.
So I'm trying to think down the line.
I'm, you know, like I am afford thinker.
I'm an outside the box type of thinker.
I'm trying to figure out where the eagles are going with this because nobody knows.
A lot of people are ****ed off.
Real ****ed off.
I mean, I'm scratching my head looking my hair.
I'm like, I see no nuts.
I'm trying to figure out what they're trying to do.
It tastes until I get that.
But what you took Taysom Hill in the second round starve ourselves.
Stoppers good aren't all right? So are the eagles.
Do something here where they're revolutionizing some sort of gadget place where you're almost like Louisiana Monroe, and you have two quarterbacks on the field the same time this is yelling her.
It's gonna be taken handles is because the eagles they do need They do need a bruising type of quarter are running back right in between the tackles.
Mile Sanders That what they're looking at Are they looking at a player who could do three different things, can catch passes.
He runs swing routes.
I mean, are they going to be? Are they gonna be okay? Let's think about pistol formation.
Urine, a urine A ah, you almost like in in a T formation in the pistol.
Yes, John Hurt's on one side.
You have mild Sanders on the other.
You can hand the ball off to the left side, or you can pitch it to jail on hurts, and he has the option to either run it or throw it on the run.
I mean, is that what they're thinking here? Is that where they're going with us? What's ducting? I mean, look, when I talked to the t last November, serious, by the way, I actually talked to you.
Figure this out come Moss.
But when I talked to the team, um and I was trying to figure out you know, how they're going to really get.
Get the ball going, uh, get the offense.
Because, you know, all this receivers were out like you guys.
Let's think of something how you could revolutionize the game, because right now we got no receivers.
But we do have some running backs, and this is before Jordan.
Howard, I think I don't know.
I'm trying to remember, but it was mild standards.
Jordan Howard, like, Okay, how can we run a different type of formation is different than the NFL.
Norm, what can we do? And now this could be a leading to something with Jalen hurts.
Now, I know that this is this is something that they've even they've even thrown about this idea.
And And I forget who My buddy Mike tweeted this, I think.
But it was something that that press Taylor said about two quarterbacks being on the field at the same time.
So I don't know.
I'm just trying to map out like, Are you gonna have to guys on the field like, OK, so you're gonna be in a shotgun and you're gonna have Jalen hurts.
You're gonna have mild Sanders to your left.
Is that we're going with this? These type of packages where you have you can hand the ball off the jail and hurts.
You can throw swing pass to jail and hurts.
Joanne Hertz will block.
Jalen Hurts will do whatever he you asking.
So I'm trying to figure out the rationale.
I didn't make the same video.
You know where I'm not gonna make the same commentaries.
I'm gonna try and do something different.
I'm trying to figure out what they're trying to do with this because there were other guys in the board that I would take.
Okay, I know that's what everybody else to say, but what's going on? What are they trying to do? Because the entire anopheles laughing? Everybody's laughing at the Eagles, But everybody else will.
Apathy Eagles on Doug Peterson.
Star Wars Parsons dot puts are working amount.
We reckon video.
Not a good idea, but all stop.
But seriously, what is going on here? My buddy on YouTube, sports soccer broke, so I was trying it.
I was serious about this.
My life as I'm finishing my starburst I actually thought were second that they drafted.
Jalen hurts with Jacksonville and they were going to send him to Jackson also, you'll get Young and Doc way he was trying to figure out the rationale in my mind why the Eagles will do this with all these good players, what they were trying to do.
Why'd you alerts? I know they value quarterbacks differently than the rest of the league, and this doesn't even have to do a car.
So this is this is Duck Peterson's philosophy.
They value these guys and John Hurt's second round couple loose pieces of Starburst.
Oh, and the Eagles also drafted some dude named David on Taylor, third round linebacker, off looking for him.
A guy who only played one game, a high school football due to religious groups.
Which is it? Which is crazy to think about because you have somebody basically and play high school football.
He was at Colorado, and you know, I see him is I haven't looked into the tape, but I watched him, but it seems to me like you could be somebody could play that linebacker safety type of hybrid type of player, and that could be where they're going.
Um, look, I said, hide home on Twitter after they picked him game of the 69.
So, you know, bodies trying to figure out what they're gonna do.
Louise, um, Louisiana Monroe and the and the Warhawks.
Two quarterbacks on the field at the same time.
I've been played running back.
Half back, full back, tight end.
Why receiver Taysom Hill? And if he special, you can trade him for a first down the line.
I am for revolutionizing the game I am for outside the box.
I am four forward.
Think everybody's laughing at the Eagles, but will they be laughing a year from them? Adrian, thank you.
