I think we can go live now.
Let's get this skull in here.
Let's get the scone. All right.
Welcome aboard family friends.
Um, I apologize for the late start, and as you can already see in the screen, you're just staring at my face and you cannot see my friend, Coach Steve Penn, Tato.
But he is joining me via phone so we can continue this NFL draft slash mock draft debate.
So I'll give you guys a few minutes to get into the chat here or not a few minutes here.
We're already kind of running late, but, um I guess for those of you that do not know we you know my name is Jesse Clark.
This is Steve Penn Tato.
He runs the fantasy coaches podcast and that is centered around fantasy football content, for the most part.
And that is going on year round, believe it or not, and it's kind of starting to heat up a little bit, especially with quarantine times.
People are starting to join Maur Dynasty fantasy football leagues and so these you know, the NFL draft next Thursday is super important for those dynasty leagues.
So Steve runs that we have a website.
Um, I let Steve kind of chime in now and give his plugs on his twitter.
Maybe the fancy coaches twitter and where you can find the website for the content.
All right, Jesse, what's going on, man? Thanks for having me on.
Um, no, thank you guys.
Awful listening today would be a fun fun up.
Sold Livestream s.

We have a lot of great things going on over there with podcasts episodes.
We have our live streams up there as well as long as well.
As you know, some articles and rankings were dynasty and, you know, 2020 drafts coming around.
So we got a lot of cool things going on over there.
So that's over at w w dot the fantasy coaches dot com.
So come over and give us Give us check out.
So just to give you guys an update we have behind the scenes and not really behind the scenes.
A little publicas.
Well, we've been running for the fantasy coaches podcast for the month.
When when did we start this mock draft? Steve, I want to say it was March 27th or something like that.
Okay, so March 27th we started this mock draft and we've been doing, like, a pick a day.
We've been posting it to Twitter and just to give you guys a little bit more background, you know, each of us had maybe 123 teams total in the group, and we selected who we thought we would take if we were the GM or the manager for that giving team.
And so the reason we are doing that is, too, you know? Well, for one, it's it's it's kind of fun, but for two, we are actually recording a podcast this Sunday, and it will be released on Monday and we're going to break down, pick by pick who was selected, and then maybe a little blurb as to why a certain person picked that for a certain team.
Is that the way you see it going? Steve, do you have basically, basically were given their and take on that? You said that nature is that person.
And why was the pick teammate for that franchise? Okay, so what teams did you have? Um well, I had my Miami Dolphins and I had in Minnesota Vikings, so Okay.
And I believe I had the Bangles and the browns.
Um, I'm looking at it right now.
I think that you have two teams, like I did as well.
Hey, Cleveland, to get Cleveland, too.
Brown said the Browns. Yeah, you're right.
Okay, so Josh is posting in the chat here.
I'll throw this in here for the discussion.
How far do you guys think Tuo will slip, if at all? So that leads into what are one of our main discussion points for the stream was actually going to be so I had the Bangles and Steve had the dolphins, and we actually, in this mock draft, I won't spoil the whole thing because obviously I want you guys to listen to the podcast when we release it in full on Monday.
But we pulled off a little trade amongst the two of us.
And Steve, do you remember exactly who you gave me? So? So I moved back to the five spot where the Dolphins are now.
And you had you then moved up to the very number one overall pick.
And then what other picks did you give me? You gave me the 18th overall pick in the first round as well.
Which the Dolphin zone.
And then what else? I believe it was additional second round pick, maybe two second round picks.
Um, definitely one second round pick.
You wouldn't let me give you the 26 pick out to give you the 18th but, um, I thought it was a thing of smart.
I think we'll both sides of the bug since I had to get that draft capital capital while Miami went up and got their franchise actually up, I'm reminded here.
So I traded back to the five spot I took the 15 or 18 spot as well.
And then you also offered me a first round pick for next year.
So more likely s so that's what the deal was.
So it was basically three first round picks for the number one overall.
Pick two first rounders this year and then one of next year.
And give me a little feedback as to why you wanted to pull the trigger on that move as a Dolphins fan? Yeah, absolutely.
Said Miami has been in need of a franchise quarterback since the days of Dan Marino really even know we've never had anyone.
That was someone who could be a long term solution.
Uh, you know, I am a huge fan of to, uh the injury with hip is a huge concern.
And, you know, I figured, you know, we have first round picks to use.
We have additional first round picks in 2021.
Uh, this is the time to go get the Heisman Trophy winner and Joe Borough now, while we can.
And I think we have a good shot based on what the teams are in our division to really make a move with.
Drove our But if that's the case, okay, so now I'll tell you why I did the deal.
Well, first of all, because I don't really own these teams and it's a little easier for me to make deals way.
Don't have so much stock involved in the in the deal.
Um, but that being said, the reason I did the deal is because I, um you know, there was a little bit attraction there for a while that Washington might take two and number two overall.
But I think Ron Rivera is a first time head coach with the Redskins.
He's a defense of special teams guy his, you know, as his background.
So I really don't think he's going to take a risk like that now.
I love to, uh, as a player, but you're right.
He does have those injury concerns.
And I just think since he just got the job, he's going to play it at safest possible.
And I think you know, you almost can't get Maur of a camp Miss Prospect than Chase Young.
And I just think that there's no way that he doesn't go there at number two, and then is number, uh, refresh my memory.
As to the three and four picks I know the Giants have won, and then I forget the other team.
Yeah, so, uh, Detroit is the third pick.
That's right. So they have Stafford.
So I didn't think that they would go quarterback at three, and then I You know, the Giants just drafted Jones last year, so I will admit that I could see my fear and making this deal is that we, that is, that the Dolphins are the Bangles would not get, too at number five.
That's the fear at, you know, in this deal.
Because that's the reason I did it owning the Bangles because I thought for sure that I would get two at five.
But I definitely could see a scenario in the rial NFL draft that another team trades up above five to get him.
You know what I mean? Yeah.
So that's the risk in that deal not working out well for me.
But I didn't think anybody in this mock draft would do that.
And like I mentioned, I think the teams that are before the fifth pick don't really have a risk of taking two.
Uh, so I thought if I could get to, uh, another first round pick with 18 and then another first round pick next year, it would be hard for me to pass up a za Bangles fan, but I will admit I completely understand your perspective as well, given the fact that you haven't really had a franchise quarterback for quite a few years and burrow, she's the safer option for sure.
And Miami has quite a few first and second round picks.
You know, in the next couple years, right when they traded Minka fixed Fitzpatrick and a few other assets, you know, do you know off the top of your head how many picks they have in the next couple years, Like in the first couple rounds? I always said We have Greek picks This year, we have two second round picks, the shares Well, we had two first round picks, um, as well, and I think we have another two second round picks next year.
We have a lot of picks in the early rounds over the next couple seasons.
I know we have two first round picks.
That's kind of why I felt OK about giving you one of my first round picks for next year because I know that we'll have another one just in case and I think we have an additional two things that stick around picks in 2021.
So I guess we have draft picks to kind of keep us alive and moving even with losing some pretty big A assets.
So draft capital at least, do you have any concerns about two other than health issues? Oh, no.
Um, I honestly don't really love to it personally as a Dolphins fan, and I was just, you know, somebody's been doing a lot of work on.
You know, these quarterbacks and staff season is just the hip.
Injury is a huge concern.
You just don't know what you're gonna get out of him.
That hip injury, it's it's scary, and Nina are.
You can see things that early on.
And if he doesn't seem never being get back on the field right way prior to that injury, uh, we'll lose another.
You know, 65 for whatever years of you know, bad seasons once again.
And as the Falcons fan, it's it's hard to want to do that ever again.
It's time to go get the franchise dye job has just discuss.
That's the really do everything that a ripple quarterback and going out to get on a little pricey.
But again, you're getting a guy who you know, is almost a sure thing.
Yeah, and we have another message in the chat here? What about a potential three teams deal between the Lions, Giants, Bangles and Dolphins? Well, that would be for well, I guess he lists four teams, but he said Lyons slash giants really thought teams Dolphins tried to slot in at number 3 to 4 to get to a For sure.
Do you see the Dolphins giving up any more pick assets to move up? Even? Uh, it really depends.
I'm show what the rumors are when it comes to, you know, if they I'm sure they're gonna be on the phones of both the lines and Giants consul and say, if the Chargers or maybe the Jaguars turned out, you guys know will give you more, probably and more, Mother, they will and reality.
Even though I have been taking going up to get Thio about, I really do believe that the Grant take two at some point here.
It's unfortunate because I think they'd be better off taking the short thing over a guy who I really like really injury phone.
But there's a good case scenario where you could see Miami trading up to the third or even trying up just one spot with the Giants just to secure that quarterback.
Yeah, Yeah, I would worry about that as well.
Yeah. Josh, Josh said Ah.
If you can't pronounce to his last name, you can't take him.
You have to talk about whatever it is.
So, um, I guess next, I think it might be good to just break down who you would, you know, have your eyes set on from, you know, the dolphins perspective again.
And was it 26 as well? Okay, so who do you think s O before you start? I'll give my two cents.
There are so many wide receivers that are elite in the strife.
This this wide receiver class is extraordinary and all they really have as a threat.
Our guests icky and Devante Parker, in my opinion.
And I guess Preston Williams is kind of coming off an injury.
So maybe maybe he can, uh, fit in there.
But if they take to our somebody Ah, would you be super disappointed if they took Herbert at five? Just curious.
Um, it just doesn't do it for me.
Obviously they take him.
I'm gonna have to follow them.
But, um, I prefer not to.
I just don't know if he has no rights.
Is not the frame is not the arm for the NFL last.
Don't know if he has the, um you know, the NFL like you to really know re defense is the right way at that next level there.
That's something that's a big concern for me, but I wash his film on him, but even he has the size and everything and the arm strength.
I just don't know if he has that is so difficult, like you really do it for me at five.
But it's a possibility.
It's a big possible big rumor right now that we could go around instead.
Yeah, I'm hearing a lot of buzz on Herbert lately, and and I honestly, I'm a little bit surprised by that, because I was not high on him, you know, even a weaker two ago.
And now I'm, like, second guessing myself of this.
Is there something that I'm missing is there, you know, So I'm just wondering, I'm just wondering if that's going to be a really possibility for the Dolphins at five, but I guess we could move on from there.
I kind of prefaced this a little bit ago.
I honestly think maybe not 18 but either with 18 or 26.
Do you think Do you see them taking a wide receiver Or I guess.
Who? Who Who do you have your sights set on as a Dolphins fan? Yeah, so Miami has so many needs.
I said we definitely need some safety help with the released her shot. Jones.
We definitely offensive line.
Um, and there's this definitely world Will Might be just skips on the quarterback early ghost offense a line of five and then figures it out later on.
There's definitely a world where they do that, which I would be surprised if they did, but definitely scenario they take the top offensive linemen they can and look for a quarterback later.
But, you know, offensive line.
You get selenia running back because we could use a wide receiver.
They take a wide receiver unless, maybe, like obviously, you know, Judy or lamb or anywhere expose the 18.
Then maybe that I could see them really taking someone, um, that they said for me, I think it really depends is available for offensive line that time, any team.
If not, I think they go safety.
They go, you know, a dresser and try to get good bye rock for a team pick, huh? Interesting.
Okay, so do you think, uh, so you don't think? Gosh, I'm just trying to think of the names that could be available at 18 or 26.
So let's just say rugs is gone.
Let's say lamb is gone.
Let's say Judy's gone.
Do you see a possibility at 26 of either? Like Mims or maybe even Jefferson? I mean, you're generous in Sit now 26.
Um, I wouldn't mind that I really I'm really hired Jefferson.
He's my water Super three right now in the rankings.
I don't mind it.
I just don't think they go that route.
Still, I still believe they go again.
Offensive crying or edge rusher at that fixed up, I'm gonna be real surprised at Miami goes another scope.
They they go with a scope position player in the those two picks is I think they can get to great wide receivers a lot running backs in the second round because they do have this two picks a kind of maneuver, often down that second row, where there's a lot of a lot of great towns in that second round.
Okay, Yeah, I guess.
I guess you're probably right there.
Probably filling the needs.
And honestly, I kind of like the coaching staff that they've built, you know, within the last year or so.
And, uh, it seems like they at least have a good vision in a good culture that they're starting to create there.
So, you know, hopefully for your sake there, you know, turning the tides a little bit and actually making some smart decisions with all the luxury that they have in all the pics that they've ac***ulated over the last year or so.
Yeah, that think they're moving in the right direction again.
I think we'll be competitive this year.
But I think in next two years, even next year, I think we could be making a that are showing her name for the Dolphins at least and making some kind of play off.
You know, at least the playoffs, which we haven't made.
And I think it was like, four seasons now, so yeah, I know what you mean? So I had the Bangles, which I kind of just teased in the beginning portion of this stream.
I took two at five, and then I'm trying to pull it up.
Here it is our list up to date here.
The one I post that? Yes, on the recent group shot.
Okay, so I also had the Browns, so I'll just give Ah, just let you guys know who I took.
Uh oh, no, I also had the Arizona Cardinals, so I had three teams.
Yeah, so with the Cardinals, I took Tristan worths.
And then for Cleveland, I took Anthony Thomas, So my picks were really boring.
I don't really know what else to say there.
I thought both teams needed offense.
So, you know, when you have guys like I was hoping, uh, for the cardinals, Uh, I don't want to spoil it.
I don't want to spoil this, so I'll just say the person the player I really wanted to take you got taken right in front of me with the Panthers, so I was forced to address the offense, align and, you know, let me just tell you.
Drafting offense alignment in a mock draft is one of the more difficult decisions that you could make.
You want to make a splash move, and you want to do something fun.
But, you know, sometimes you just gotta do what you think it's smart.
And then what I thought we would do.
Okay, so then in AA number 18 since I traded with the Dolphins, Cincinnati Bangles, I took another offense alignment.
So offense, alignment all around, except for two, uh, for me.
And then can we just discuss the potential deal that we had on the table? And I'll explain why I wanted to make that.
And can you explain why you didn't take it? I'm glad you didn't.
Now, given the cir***stances, yes.
So, uh, I saw you with the Indianapolis Colts.
Are you already did.
Outpost called Miami sitting here 26 with their second pick in the classroom.
My favorite team just let everybody know. So I took.
I was acting Ah, little biased.
I would say definitely.
Well, I said you wanted to trade up for a certain player.
Not gonna name a moment.
But I said your offer me a second and 1/3 round pick for my 26 pick, and you think you offer me an additional third or fourth and 2021 u uh, I just couldn't do it.
Miami needs needs and their players on the board.
Who? I guess you tomorrow.
When I announced that pick tomorrow for the 26th pick there, the guy that who absolutely fell on, I had to go and take a car like that and before even before that.
Like I said, there are plenty of players on the bullet that Miami still needs help on that offense of line ed Russia.
There are definitely players on the board that Miami could have taken right here, 26 I think they just needed to get some top quality.
You know, football players on their team and trading back to seem kind of kind of just work.
Let's have a point from Miami right now.
Yeah, so I'll tell you why.
I wanted to trade up into the first round, and I'll just say this.
The Colts originally had a first round pick this year, but they gave that up, which was the number 13 overall pick right to the 40 Niners and they and they got Buckner.
So they only have a second round pick now.
And I'm wondering if in the rial draft he'll fall that far.
But I didn't want to take that risk.
And I wanted to move up to the first round pick because I wanted Indianapolis to take Jordan love.
And I don't know how you feel about him, Steve, Uh, I know, you know, I kind of I caught a little bit of your streams on the on the dynasty Quarterbacks rankings six through 10 And then I I think I might have even caught Maur of the six through 10 than the one through five.
But I'll tell you why.
I thought my guy that I was going up to would be a good fit for the Colts.
So the guy I really wanted was Jordan Love out of Utah State.
And the reason I like him at that spot is I really trust Frank Reich as an offensive mind, and I think Jordan love is his success in the NFL, I think is I don't want to say solely dependent, but it heavily relies on him going to the right situation because I think he has all the talent in the world, and I think if he goes to the right team and I'll, I don't want to spoil it.
But he went to the right team in our mock draft.
That is the one that's probably the first or second team.
I would have chosen him to go to a CE faras just like me, wanting a player to go to a team to see him, you know, see how his career progresses.
That is one of my top choices where he went, so I won't give it away.
You guys will have to tune in on Monday, have to listen to the podcast.
But that being said, I thought Jordan love would be a great fit for Indianapolis.
I think if they were able to land another receiver in the draft this year, you know it's so deep that if they put Jordan love in a situation with a good offense, align a pretty good number one receiver in T Y Hilton, even though he's a little untrustworthy as Faras Healthcare is concerned.
And then Paris Campbell Man, everybody is forgetting this guy.
He is a good player and I just want him to stay healthy because you know, if I'm in a dynasty league, he's He's up there on my list a ce faras like trading for trading low buying, high type thing.
You know, you kind of want almost treated like the stock market in a dynasty I really like.
So I like the explosiveness in the pieces around him.
And, you know, Marlon Max proven to be a pretty good, uh, you know, dynamic runner out of the backfield.
So I think if he if Jordan love sat for a year behind Philip Rivers learned everything he could possibly learn and then start, you know, be the starter in 2021.
That's the kind of situation that I would love him to go into.
So that's what I was trying to pull off on that trade.
No, I definitely understand that.
Well, being as you exit, you already heard kind of my spiel on Jordan.
Love the sky, I think tremendous potential form.
Ah, he really has the upside of a Pat Mahomes but also has the downside of the Jamis Winston and not the fantasy football player Jamis Winston, the actual proposed player, Jamis Winston, who isn't our team right now and throw 30 exceptions this past season.
He has that tow him like he has the arm strength.
He's got that creativity, Tom.
He's got the escape from the pocket and do something with nothing.
But this man can also throw.
You know, I think you could seem thrown 20 picks and a season easily.
I mean, eso it za concerning his decision making.
So that kind of lie like this guy can be a first round talent.
But he also can't also be 1/4 round talent easily to me, he's like a combo of Jamis, Winston, Josh, Alan.
And he's got a little Brett Farve to him.
So all three of those guys are, you know, known to take a little risk.
But sometimes they in the NFL you know, the windows air so tight you half the take a risk.
You have to be a risk taker.
You can't be a guy that just, you know, on Lee throws when he sees a guy that guy open, you have to have some anticipation.
You have to have some guts to you to be ableto you know, let it heave in situations that might not look good until they develop.
So again, I don't think he's going to turn out to be a good pro if he goes to a bad team and he doesn't have a good offensive mind and a good quarterback coach, that can kind of teach him the intricacies of NFL quarterbacking.
But if he goes to an experienced team with a great system, I think he could thrive.
He he honestly is a really, really interesting, just debatable topic and study case because you just don't really know what you're going to get.
Yeah, actually, And we actually, def, on episode on Monday and actually had him Isa landing spot with Indianapolis because I think he could learn a lot from Rivers and percent there.
And they have the one of the best offensive line in football to make his life a little bit easier back there when he could take over.
Any guys like you said you had guys have weapons in India that I think are good enough to get the job done, so absolutely, absolutely well, let's go ahead and wrap this up unless you have anything else that you wanted to say.
I just wanted to kind of preview and promo what we have coming up.
Do you Do you have anything else you want to chime in with? Uh, no, I guess I just just to check out the episode should be pretty fun to hear about why everyone made their decisions.
There's definitely a couple head scratches, but definitely a couple of really great picks that some people made.
So it's gonna be really interesting to see what happens.
We're picked 25 today, and we only have another best week.
Left a minute we ended.
We're gonna end it right up to the NFL.
So if you have been falling off, he used are following a couple pics right at the end.
No won't be will be on the podcast, But you have to wait on Twitter for them on pop up stuff.
And you can follow the fantasy coaches at coach's fantasy.
Yeah, All right.
So that being said, I wanted to kind of preview a few things.
So for one, we have mentioned this several times.
We are conducting a podcast on this Sunday that will be released Monday for the Fantasy Coaches podcast you can catch that on pretty much any type of podcast source that you get your podcasts from.
You can find it on.
Uh, that should be released on Monday.
And then the unwrapped mock draft is going to be alive.
One SportsCastr this weekend as well.
And Steve, I'll let you chime in on that as to I guess what time it is, when it is.
And then what you can expect from that? Oh, yeah.
Um, it said we did one, actually.
A couple, Let's say, three weeks ago, uh, we did one alive, one to live. One.
It was actually a lot of fun.
You're gonna expect to point it out.
What was that? This is 2.
Oh, yes. They're doing their 2nd 1 now.
I said it was a lot of fun.
You got a bunch of trades.
You got two rounds with their mock draft.
You got on the spot, ****ysts.
I was actually one of the ****ysts with a couple other guys.
They're very much very fun, you know, pick live, you know, tuning at seven o'clock and be on SportsCenter, probably under a large.
Oh, and once again and It's gonna be a lot of fun, definitely if you're looking for them to do on a Saturday night, especially just kind of get ready for the real NFL draft.
It's a lot of fun just to kind of washing.
See, you know where people pick and where people kind of found rise.
Yeah, and honestly, we're not really G M's, so there are a lot more risk takers, like trades and everything else.
You know, a lot of Maur craziness tends to happen in these types of things because we don't really have really stock in the game, so it makes it a fun little exercise here, so make sure you're tuning into the Unwrap Sports mock draft two point.
Oh, and then make sure you're tuning in to the Fantasy Coaches podcast, where we preview the mock draft we hosted with the fantasy coaches just the first round and that will be released on Monday.
So again, I apologize for the late start and I thank you guys for kind of sticking with us here.
We we, you know, made something out of nothing as the saying goes, and we tried to make it work as best as we could.
But you know, here shortly, I'm really hoping that we can figure out this split screen, the stupid thing through Skype and maybe one of these days, hopefully, even on draft day, we have talked about potentially going live again together.
So we're really, really hoping that a week from tomorrow during the NFL draft, we can figure out a way to live, stream this and have a dual split screen.
So again, apologize.
Apologize for the technical difficulties tonight.
But we're really hoping that we could, you know, sort out those kinks by next week and really make the NFL draft of fun experience for all of you.
I mean, let's be honest, none of us really have a ton going on in a ton to get interested about with no sports being on television at the moment and us not really being able to leave our houses.
So that being said, I would encourage all of you guys too, you know, stay tuned to Twitter.
Stay too, in the Facebook, where I preview most of the streams and just, you know, stay tuned as to whether or not we are going to broadcast live on NFL draft day a week from tomorrow.
So that pretty much does it for the stream.
I want to thank you, Steve.
I apologize for the technical difficulties on your end and having to deal with me and my Shrum ***** and everything associated with it.
But, uh, I'm just glad that we were able to make it work in some capacity, and hopefully next time we can do this better.
Captain, I absolutely awesome.
Uh, make sure you guys were given Steve a shout out and a follow on Twitter at Coach Stephen P.
As you can see on my screen, you can follow me on Twitter at J.
Crockett 24 make sure you're falling Steve on his ah SportsCastr stream user name is Well, what? What? Go ahead and give your SportsCastr name.
Yeah, I was just Honestly, I panicked.
I'm going What it was, but it is actually at its coach.
Steven, uh, us and so perfect at Coach Stephen USN.
So make sure you guys were following him as well.
And one last thing.
I wanted to preview waas the fact that if we can ever get this technical difficulty sorted out, I am planning on releasing an article and a live stream in connection with Jake A. Dobbins.
And what I'm going to do is do a little film breakdown of his game and maybe how that will produce into the NFL game and kind of just give his strengths and weaknesses as a player in general.
So I'm a huge Ohio State fan.
I've watched the guy for three years every name he's ever played, and I've also dug a little bit into the film and wanted to kind of give you guys a preview.
So I'm working on an article, you know, as we speak, and I will probably be producing a stream early next week to discuss that very topic.
So that's just about it for the moment again.
Want to think Steve and all you guys for tuning in, bearing with us for the technical difficulties? Make sure you guys were staying safe and I appreciate all each and every one of you peace out guys
