00:00:15
I want you guys just Justin something here.
00:00:22
Hey, guys, look, Come in.
00:00:25
As you all know, my name is Steven Tato.
00:00:28
I am the host of the Fantasy Coaches Podcast and a member of Unwrap Sports Network to great organizations.
00:00:37
Have been glad to be a part of this past year now And looking forward for another unit out of these two, especially all my fun work with SportsCastr.
00:00:46
They have been doing a great job having this full fun experience that be on here.
00:00:51
So, um, gonna start with the big news of the night.
00:00:55
Um, as you guys probably already know, branding cooks and 1/4 round pick has been traded from the L A Rams to the Houston Texans.
00:01:05
Exchange for 2021.
00:01:07
22nd round pick.
00:01:11
Um, that hasn't really been too much big NFL news in the last couple weeks.
00:01:14
Now, it's always been, you know, speculating the draft and everything like that.
00:01:20
See stuff Khanna dwindled.
00:01:21
Alan, we had a little light here.
00:01:23
And basically, uh, I'm gonna go over right now.
00:01:27
The fantasy impact that and no.
00:01:30
What does Brennan cooks leaving L.
00:01:33
A Rams do for the L A Rams, and it's pretty simple.
00:01:37
It's all positive progression, guys.
00:01:40
Wrong side because it's flipped.
00:01:41
But, um, you know, this is a great thing for the L A Rams for fantasy football if you're in a dynasty league.
00:01:48
Oh, if you're thinking about one of the grab these RAM players, you're gonna be thrilled, because now you know, they don't have right and cooks.
00:01:55
They're, you know, they're taking away a guy who has been part of that team the last two seasons.
00:02:00
Alan, No Woody, some targets, you know, 70 some targets and ate almost 600 yards.
00:02:07
I mean, that's a lot to give up and kind of move around.
00:02:10
And, you know, everyone kind of benefits from this scene. Cooper Company.
00:02:14
Brendan Brandon Cooper Company.
00:02:16
Robert Woods is going to be both 1000 yard guys next year.
00:02:19
Hopefully, Woods would get a little bit more in the touchdown category of next year, but obviously opened up targets for them.
00:02:25
It definitely is an open up targets for last year's tight end heroic hero in the White House and Tyler Eifert because right now, before this Tyler Eifert was an individual like, Well, he had a really great stretch, But I'm scared of the targets they not gonna maybe see next season.
00:02:43
They play a little differently, and now I'm not as scared about it.
00:02:46
Uh, you know, I think Woods and cooks are both strong wide receiver twos that you could get your team.
00:02:53
I know if you go the high pick guy like Godwin and go cook, go woods.
00:02:58
I'm gonna be a whole think your teams and very strongly in that situation.
00:03:02
Um, Josh Reynolds become somewhat of an asset for those deeper man leagues.
00:03:06
A, uh, ram a lam Brit, you know, having feelings like that.
00:03:11
Josh Reynolds could be an interesting later around.
00:03:13
I now, um you know, Dyson Thailand.
00:03:16
Maybe, uh, he kind of was outside my top 10 and tight end's going in the next year, and mostly is due to be I'm known of the targets.
00:03:24
And I think at this point, now you can save assume that he's gonna see somewhere between, you know, 60 80 targets at least and kind of be a top 10.
00:03:32
Probably maybe a low top 10 tight end next year in fantasy is always in confined out.
00:03:38
Be your own ever Don't touches every week.
00:03:40
And I think for the Rams think it's all positive, positive work.
00:03:45
I mean, only one that really loses.
00:03:47
Maybe Jericho off.
00:03:48
I mean, yeah, it was a target, but he still has a lot of targets in that backfield there.
00:03:52
And that's wide receiver, corps and tight and core.
00:03:55
I think he's gonna be just fine, But yeah, it sucks.
00:03:58
The guy We could get 1000 yards every year.
00:04:00
It's definitely good that, you know, maybe go and draft somebody now in the second round, who knows? But right now, as it stands, I mean, l a Rams for fantasy is looking all positive progression.
00:04:11
Right now, you have to be happy if your dynasty leak.
00:04:14
If you add these guys now, you don't worry about them moving forward now because they're going to be all all ups from here.
00:04:21
And then we go over to the Houston Texans, the true teen that Brandin cooks got traded to, and there's a lot of things going on here now.
00:04:32
It's definitely a buffer to Shawn Watson, who lost, You know, DeAndre Hopkins this past offseason.
00:04:38
He definitely a big hit.
00:04:39
He definitely rises of just a little bit.
00:04:42
Do tradition, and you're getting a guy who had four straight 1000 yard seasons prior to this coming, injury plagued season.
00:04:49
Um, you're gonna go get a guy who's virtually a one.
00:04:54
You know, one be wide receiver one.
00:04:56
I don't know if he's a true wire Siegel one, but he's closes.
00:04:59
They're gonna probably get Um, yes, it's another speed starling team there, but I think he's in a demand target.
00:05:04
Still, he's going to be very involved.
00:05:06
You know, you saw over the past couple season down, he's been able to be very productive, and, um, it definitely lowers.
00:05:15
You know, Kenny Stills ran back off a little bit.
00:05:18
Hey, things for the whistle appreciate it.
00:05:19
Um, you know, these two guys were, you know, possible sleepers now, and, uh, you know, I'm known target situation where they were going to see a lot more targets.
00:05:29
But Brennan cooked, I think, is a guy who could get 1000 hearts from 1100 targets this coming season there and kind of lower the value of both.
00:05:37
Kenny stills, n drop of Randall Cobb? Uh, willful.
00:05:40
Or I think he's kind of stays a seeing these kind of the same situation no matter what he's in.
00:05:46
He's a guy who is a favorite of Watson and his long she's healthy on the field and put a big game.
00:05:51
But assuming he's not gonna be on the field a Jesse What's going on, man? Assuming assumes, Not gonna be on the field for parts of the season.
00:05:59
A zit Cooks is a great addition.
00:06:01
I get a known worry is this concussions? And it's been a pretty big thing that those concussions have been lingering over his career now.
00:06:09
And it could be one or two more than if he gets another one.
00:06:11
His career could be absolutely done.
00:06:14
Um, but we have to hope in the soon that doesn't happen.
00:06:18
He comes with risk.
00:06:19
I think he's still Ah, a low and wide receiver to at this point now with the trade, but it comes with risk.
00:06:25
You probably will want to take him out of the wide receiver to MME.
00:06:28
Or, more than likely, your mom becoming be comfortable with maybe a wide receiver.
00:06:32
Three maybe even a low and maybe even a wider see before it happens all and drives.
00:06:37
I doubt it, though, just because I think people are gonna know Name Brown and dropped him early.
00:06:41
But you get a measure, Wide receiver three.
00:06:43
I'm not gonna be mad about it.
00:06:45
He can put a big number.
00:06:46
Still, he just comes with a lot of risk.
00:06:49
So, no, it's an interesting is an interesting trade.
00:06:52
I said, I think Houston needed in the wide receiver.
00:06:55
I think they could have gone cheaper than spend the big money on cooks.
00:06:58
They had a second round pick with Lundy of rookie wide receivers in this class this year.
00:07:03
But I guess there were no more when now moved without, you know, treating away some star players already.
00:07:08
But, um, you know, okay, trade for Houston.
00:07:12
Um, good for fantasy. Definitely.
00:07:14
Um, you know the Rams.
00:07:16
I need to get money off the books.
00:07:19
Probably why they did it.
00:07:20
They had an opportunity to take a guy who as a concussion, away from losing his NFL career, you take the money off the books.
00:07:27
Good for them, you know, again for them as well.
00:07:30
I think this is a both fantastic.
00:07:32
That and some of this group Addison date for everyone because just opens up more targets with people And what we will become more fantasy relevant now because of the situation.
00:07:39
So, um, I love it.
00:07:42
Great trade overall.
00:07:45
Houston is doing some crazy stuff with trading so much away and getting so little, I feel like in return.
00:07:49
But, um, no betrayed overall football teams and great for fantasy on both sides of also that's usedto.
00:07:56
That's cute. That's cute. Brandin cooks the Houston.
00:07:58
Now I'm gonna go into my top 7 2020 rookie tight ends, guys, a wild child, 88 things with Jordan and, um so yeah, well, over the rookie tight ends now and like a date.
00:08:11
If you guys want my episodes earlier this week at the quarterbacks detectives out, if you have any interest in that, they were a lot of fun to do.
00:08:18
But now I'm gonna go to the top 10 5 cents up, seven tight ends.
00:08:22
10 is a little harder to really get going because they usually don't do much until after year three.
00:08:29
You're not gonna get too many no tight end is doing some great work early on.
00:08:34
I mean, there are some of us we saw last year a couple tight end for some of relevant certain parts of the season, but not many tight ends as Burke Ese can really take it to the next level.
00:08:43
But this class is an interesting class.
00:08:46
There's something some good quality guys that could turn into some very valuable Fanny's side of that sums some sorts of the, uh, their careers here, and it's gonna be interesting to see who they are, and we're gonna go through them right now.
00:09:01
When I start with number seven.
00:09:02
I like the work my way up. Always.
00:09:04
My number seven is Jared Hinckley.
00:09:07
Um, Tight out of Vanderbilt, 2019 stats.
00:09:11
233 yards in just two touchdowns.
00:09:14
Um, injury plagued season, but 2018.
00:09:17
He had 774 yards and seven touchdown.
00:09:20
So this guy has, you know, good production that you won't.
00:09:24
You won't see it on the on the staff board and from 40 90 but he is a really good guy.
00:09:29
I always like to go over my columns first.
00:09:30
You know, some things I don't like about him, though.
00:09:32
I mean, he has a slow 40 time.
00:09:34
He looks a little slow on the fuel during his routes.
00:09:37
Um, doesn't look the hit, doesn't it is not afraid to get hit with the ball, but I think defenders can't push him around a little bit.
00:09:44
Break off his timing again.
00:09:46
Injury injury problem now at this point, and the speed and burst doesn't really isn't there to really break away from a defender very quickly, but he's got positive that I really enjoy about him.
00:09:59
That's kind of why I have a moment Top seven now, compared to some other guys who maybe other people's boards at this point of the season here.
00:10:06
And some of the good thing is that he's a good sized tight end, even though we kind of gets don't off his routes at times.
00:10:13
I think that's just more of a, you know, strategy play.
00:10:16
Hey, Alex, Thanks for joining.
00:10:17
Um, I think that, you know he's can break tackles.
00:10:20
He could get yards after the catch.
00:10:22
To an extent, he's ableto locate the ball.
00:10:26
Um, you know, he's a really good blocker and you know he possesses good ball control and skill there.
00:10:31
And I think for him, I think it's I think it's more about, you know, strength and conditioning.
00:10:37
Um, he could do that in the next level.
00:10:39
If you can kind of slowing down a little bit, get a little faster, get a little more bulkier so you don't get pushed around a little bit.
00:10:46
This guy could be a really good tight end on the right scenario, and he's a little bit of coaching and he's very competitive and very decisive after the catch.
00:10:54
But he doesn't even work on some of his athleticism and just needs to be no smarter with his rock running ability there. He doesn't.
00:11:02
You can't be letting defenders pushing around the field.
00:11:04
You need to be able to control that.
00:11:05
That route he's doing in, take it to the next level and get open for his quarterback.
00:11:09
So he comes in number seven here, Um, so this is isn't a real huge deep class there.
00:11:15
There's some good guys here and there, but in reality is a smaller group.
00:11:19
Compared to other years, last year's fighting class is really great.
00:11:23
This one isn't as isn't as ah thrilling and like, Wow, you gotta get this guy And it seemed kind of athletes.
00:11:31
So coming at number six is Harrison Bryant out of Florida Atlantic yet 65 receptions, 1000 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019.
00:11:40
Again, I always like to go with my con first.
00:11:44
He isn't really want to break tackles, usually gets caught short after catching the ball.
00:11:48
Can't take it really to the next level, has some work to do as a blocker, and all tight ends have to be someone of a blocker or they're really not gonna make it into the NFL too often.
00:11:59
I don't really see a lot of high riel type of plays out of him.
00:12:02
I'm not seeing as a guy who's gonna be making the crazy catches out of nowhere and, like stunning the crowd, stunning the coaches too much.
00:12:10
Very average athlete needs to be better at it.
00:12:13
Separations to really make it into the NFL because people are gonna be faster and bigger there, and it's completely different in college.
00:12:21
But he does offer a really good passion option downfield again.
00:12:26
If you didn't work on this blocking skills and get that up.
00:12:29
I think that's probably one of most important things in the tight.
00:12:31
And if you can't block in, not gonna at least have an opportunity.
00:12:34
But if you can catch like he can, um, you're gonna make it much more wild in this new past heavy offense.
00:12:41
Here he showed ability, toe looking and a locate the ball on the field There.
00:12:46
You make smart moves after plays and he works and he works very strong toe.
00:12:52
Get more competitive every single season.
00:12:53
I mean, I watched his games and trustee during tougher matchups.
00:12:57
Water Laning really doesn't have too many tough matchups that they go through every year, but they played Ohio State and he was really good against Ohio State.
00:13:05
Held his own in that game, especially.
00:13:08
Get some of those bigger, you know, defenders on the teams, you know, he sewed a pretty decent game overall playing them, so I was never very impressive.
00:13:16
See what he's able to do again.
00:13:18
He has some coaching work that he needs get done on him, but he does offer a passing down value that could be very relevant, especially fantasy football may be in the first early seasons if he gets an opportunity to actually be on a passing tight end of situation on field.
00:13:34
So and then we come in at number five.
00:13:39
Adam Drew Mon Truman.
00:13:41
Um added a in 70 receptions, 916 yards and 14 touchdowns this past season.
00:13:48
Guys, there's really not much.
00:13:51
I want to sing negative about this guy.
00:13:53
I mean, he isn't a huge yards after after catch even.
00:13:56
You know, his blocking ability is just mediocre.
00:14:01
Average decent. Um, he is a new word.
00:14:03
Um, experience the tide opposition.
00:14:06
When he came in in tow college, he was a quarterback's, which the tight end.
00:14:09
So he doesn't have that many years of experience at position.
00:14:13
I think he needs a book up just a bit if he wants to be a really good blocker in the next level.
00:14:17
But this guy, I mean, he is gonna be, I think, a really great steal for a team that can get ahold of him.
00:14:23
Um, a Dodger blue stuff, things for joining.
00:14:26
I think he could really grow competitive The next level.
00:14:28
He was highly productive all through college.
00:14:30
I think he'd get gets top speed.
00:14:32
Even though he had a slow 40 time 4.8.
00:14:34
But if you look at his game T, he does not look slow on the field.
00:14:37
And some some athletes kind of do those kind of things.
00:14:39
They look faster during the games and the nearly are a 40 yard sprint.
00:14:44
I like his ball adjustment, his body control when it going up to catch a ball.
00:14:48
Hey presents a real big target in the red zone, 14 touchdowns past season.
00:14:51
I mean, that's pretty impressive for a tight in college.
00:14:54
Usually they don't get that kind of opportunity to show their showcase like that.
00:14:58
I got the right size and heights home to be an NFL tight side, and then is the back of basketball background.
00:15:03
He played basketball in college, too, a CZ.
00:15:06
We all know many tight ends that are have been productive over their career.
00:15:10
Small being guys like Tony Gonzalez and tell your Gates, Um, um, you know these guys were basketball star is back in the day.
00:15:19
Um, and this guy could be in this kid's father of same pattern, and you know, when you have those kind of jumps that get up and catch the ball like that from basketball.
00:15:28
Um, you can definitely take that skills and friends the NFL again.
00:15:32
He still knew it to the position, but, um, he's got talent to grow and be even a stronger tight end in the future.
00:15:40
It's just some practice, and experience is he built it up over his career.
00:15:43
So I really like I really like this.
00:15:45
Get I think he could be a real steel in this draft here after coming in at number five on my board.
00:15:51
So and then we'll come in at number four Dadaist Moss.
00:15:56
L s u 2019 sets.
00:15:58
Seventies 70 47 reception.
00:16:01
570 yards and four touchdowns.
00:16:04
Yes, this last name is Moss.
00:16:06
Yes, he is ready.
00:16:09
So these guys, this guy has the drake of beings, you know, he's got the genes in him to be a great NFL player as long as you can produce it on the field in.
00:16:18
You know, there's some things that definitely bothered me a little bit.
00:16:20
He doesn't really have great speed.
00:16:22
Doesn't have that burst off the line, especially to take those long caches to the house.
00:16:28
You know, he really is a kind of like a sloth like atmosphere told sometimes they really doesn't really go hard.
00:16:35
100% he isn't gonna beat anyone off the line on And he could kind of get lost if he doesn't find ways to, you know, separate from the offenders in the next lot in this next year in the NFL's no seasons to come.
00:16:49
I mean, he could get lost and kind of not be a factor, and that could be an issue.
00:16:53
But this is a guy who great past and run blocker, great pass catcher.
00:16:58
When he does catch the ball, I mean, this guy could catch almost anything that's thrown to him.
00:17:02
He's got tremendous hands, great instincts.
00:17:04
Hey, he's a tremendous talent that he can improve on.
00:17:08
He just needs to get faster.
00:17:09
He needs to be able to find a way to separate from defenders and catch almost anything that comes when I'm watching play and he can catch literally anything that becoming is what But again, you need to get separation.
00:17:20
The next level people are gonna be, You know, these linebackers in college are gonna be the same linebackers you're gonna see in the NFL, so he needs the work on that to get a little separation from them.
00:17:30
So we could actually go out there and kept the Bulls when throwing him so lovely.
00:17:34
Sees potential love to see if he can live up to the family name again, and he's trying to make his own legacy.
00:17:39
But you know, Brandon Moss was a to be a great a great wide receiver in this league.
00:17:43
Maybe his son could be a great kind of mystery as well.
00:17:45
So looking forward to seeing what he's able to do with that next level on, then coming in number threes, Kolka meant, um, I'm a little bit low on him compared to a lot of people, I know a lot of ****ysts out there have him as the number one tight and overall, but you know, 1 19 sets, 43 receptions, 515 yards and six touchdowns, and this is the guy I want five minutes. Pros first.
00:18:09
I mean, he does have good hands, good size with long arms.
00:18:12
He knows how to find a way to separate themselves and coverage.
00:18:15
I've seen him, made some pretty crazy catches, got really good hands to him, but I think it needs to be coached up a little bit.
00:18:22
I think he has the tools to actually be a pro tight end, but I think he needs to really work at it.
00:18:29
Um, he's also a really great route runner, too.
00:18:31
But there's things I just don't like about him.
00:18:33
I said his blocking is very average for me when I'm watching him on tape.
00:18:38
I mean, he looks slow, kind of relax its explosion from what I've seen.
00:18:43
And again, this could be a bad thing.
00:18:45
A good thing I didn't see the place leading up to him.
00:18:47
But, you know, all six of his touchdowns wide open could be just wide open. Custom.
00:18:52
And I never saw contestable too often.
00:18:54
Never receive your physical, go up and catch the ball against the defender.
00:18:58
Thank you, Doctor.
00:18:59
I appreciate that.
00:19:01
Um, you know, he isn't a guy who, you know, could maybe out beat these NFL linebackers and just catch the ball from them.
00:19:09
I don't really see and I didn't see it in college against smaller guys and I don't know if he's going to do in the next level again.
00:19:16
He's, you know, find separation.
00:19:17
If he gets to it again, these guys are gonna be fast, or you're not gonna be worse than the slower linebackers.
00:19:23
You're reversing the best of the best.
00:19:24
So it's a bit concerning to me if you can actually get that separation.
00:19:27
No. He showed he was good at separation.
00:19:29
Umm, again, I really want to see me.
00:19:31
The more fiscal of the ball because he could get lost out there and not be a very good tight end, as many are predicting him to be.
00:19:37
I'm not seeing it right now.
00:19:39
Hopefully, you could change my mind because I always like to see people succeed.
00:19:42
But I'm not seeing him be the number one tight end on the board right now.
00:19:46
I have two guys ahead of him, so he doesn't show that number one time and skill.
00:19:50
But I'm looking at for him right now.
00:19:52
So coming in Number two is Bryson Hopkins.
00:19:55
Do 61 receptions, 830 yards and seven touchdowns.
00:20:00
Um, this guy Hopkins I mean, he's got some issues with drops.
00:20:05
Definitely a big red flag in my books.
00:20:08
Um needs the groans from strength you know, definitely as unable to beat off man coverages too often has some blocking concerns.
00:20:18
Like I said, um, and he really doesn't have that.
00:20:22
He doesn't really have that big building at the moment, that kind of block those NFL edge rushers coming at him.
00:20:27
So there are some concerns, and there's some pretty major concerns that many people would have but some of his prose that I really saw this guy watching him play.
00:20:37
I mean, um, I think he can be a good block.
00:20:40
He just needs to get a little stronger.
00:20:42
Um, he can go up and get the ball anytime.
00:20:44
He's a physical guy, even though he doesn't show it as a blocker.
00:20:47
He's a physical guy.
00:20:48
Wanna get that football? Um, he condone he's a dominating force.
00:20:52
He has big playability for me at four games over 95 yards, Um, always looking to get the football really good route running ability, smooth and blew in through those routes when watching him play able to make good adjustments.
00:21:05
And it was an outside of that standing for a college career.
00:21:08
Um, so this guy, I mean, he's got the truth.
00:21:11
The attributes to be a really good pass, catching tight.
00:21:15
Then again, he needs the work on the drops.
00:21:18
I mean, you know, drops are hard to come off of it.
00:21:20
I think it's more of a mental thing sometimes, but he needs to find a way in the next level.
00:21:25
Did not drop the ball as much.
00:21:26
I think if he does that, he's just kind of dwindle down, because when you start dropping the ball, your mental toughness goes away very quickly and you lose that edge issues might have might have had.
00:21:36
And again, he needs to be a little more physical.
00:21:38
He's gonna learn how to block a little bit better in the NFL, And as long as you can do those things, this guy could be a really good tight end in the next three years.
00:21:45
You're talking about a fantasy in three years now, so and then come in at number one for the night guys is Albert.
00:21:53
Oh my God, Oh, the Alberto.
00:21:56
I can't say it's last name for my life.
00:22:00
19 sets, 26 or sections 306 yards and six touch out doesn't really scream the wound.
00:22:06
Number one guy I know.
00:22:08
Believe me, I get it.
00:22:09
Um, you know, there are some issues with them, you know? And the biggest things with this guy I saw was it needs to be a little more explosive off the line.
00:22:17
Seems to go half speed at times.
00:22:19
Doesn't cut his routes too much.
00:22:21
You know, I think I need to play with more toughness when he's banged up.
00:22:25
Could be a big question mark if he's injured.
00:22:27
Kind of doesn't get on the field as much.
00:22:29
Um, it doesn't really have a agility and quickness.
00:22:32
The outside to get downfield on routes on definitely could get, you know, ran down.
00:22:37
He's not gonna beat you with speed.
00:22:39
Um, sometimes you can, but I'd like to see you do it at the next level.
00:22:43
I know you did it in college, Ella, and he did a really good Ford.
00:22:48
Probably one of the best time for tight end.
00:22:50
But I want to really seem to be able to do against these stronger and faster defenders in the NFL.
00:22:55
But this guy's you know, 6522 55 running a 4.
00:23:01
I mean, that is unbelievable.
00:23:04
You know, it looks like kind of just like this.
00:23:06
Zion Williams, the n b.
00:23:08
A player for the NFL.
00:23:10
I think this guy has a great combination of no speed and strength, even though his speed isn't his strong suit.
00:23:16
Still, but I think he's fast enough to be would do something with it.
00:23:20
Um, it's got a nos to the end zone.
00:23:21
23 touchdowns off only 98 receptions on his career row.
00:23:26
Fiscal tight end.
00:23:27
Uh, DBS can't match up with them.
00:23:29
I think linebackers maybe too slow of Islam is he's working hard and great.
00:23:33
Body control for a tight and I need to work on is blocking.
00:23:36
But this guy has, like so much potential, I think it's just there's just some lack luster, laziness that he's showing a lot on the fuel.
00:23:45
And you saw it on this guy could put in the hard work and be regret, you know, really good at the next level.
00:23:50
Um, there's no telling with this guy.
00:23:53
Could be a tight end.
00:23:54
I mean, he could be the next very tight and as long as he put it into the the hard work and that's the big question mark if he's gonna put the hard working.
00:24:00
But for me, it's I'm going off the potential with this guy to be able to be really strong.
00:24:06
And I'm really enjoying what I'm able to see Adam.
00:24:08
So, um, I would oh, comes in at number one on my board, so I I think he's gonna be I think he's honest.
00:24:15
He's works hard.
00:24:16
Is that to be Thanks.
00:24:20
