right now, I enjoy my own thing, right.
Hey, guys. Thanks for joining.
Um, as you all know, my name is Steve. Can't Tato.
I am the host of the fantasy coaches podcast, but I'm also a member of the Sports Network and unwrap sports.
Um, they're great network.
Definitely to check the mouth to do a lot of great things that cover all kinds of sports.
Everything you can wish of.
They do a lot of great things, and I recommend checking them out.
But last night, they actually did a two round mock draft.
Um, it was a lot of fun.
I was on there the whole time under all Lawrence Owens.
If you want to check out his stuff, he had the entire coverage of the draft on there.
Where the Check it out.
It was almost five hours long, A little long, but it was a lot of fun.
A lot of different picks went through a lot of trades.
It was kind of like the XFL in the NFL met at the draft.
And you have to see the background coverage of people making trade on the spot.
You know, trades coming in unannounced big trades going down.
Pigs going down. It was a lot of fun.
And if you have time, I'd recommend going Check that out.
Um, it was a lot of fun.
And also Amber Vickers, Vickers, She also broke down every single pick, so definitely go check that out.
She broke down parts around one in two, so definitely check out out as well.
Um, she breaks down every single tree signing and trade everything like that.
So Hey, terrible.
Thanks for joining, but it was a lot of fun.
And I'm here to go over some winners and losers that I thought personally were great.
Um, began People may differ, but, you know, I just from what I like and what I've seen, You know what I've done the research wise.
It was a lot of fun to see, so I'll start with the winners first.
Um, in my eyes, one of the waiters has to be temporary buccaneers.
I think the importance of getting making sure that Tom Brady was a upright quarterback.
He's in his forties.
They need to make sure he's safe and does not get injured.
Um, and that's what they went out and did they actually treated up draft to scare the pick from the I believe the Arizona Cardinals and they end up snagging offense.
A tackle? Um, Andrew Thomas.
The only bad part was they actually had to give up O.
Howard and Trade didn't preferably like that.
But they do have a guy like Cameron Break can survive.
You have slot wide receivers who can kind of take advantage of that as well.
So they didn't really need a tight at eso getting rid of Howard.
Kind of sucks, but they think they moved up and got themselves a great left or right tackle.
How things will follow, um, that they needed thing guys, A true you know, Cornerstone tackle on who's gonna be a great asset for this Bucks team, especially for the couple years of Tom Brady, is there is gonna be a guy who isn't gonna let up tackle sax.
He's not gonna have time to get hit.
I think was a great move.
It was a really needed to make, and they give up 48 sacks last year to Jameis Winston.
They can't have come bring taking 40.
It's acts that this just doesn't work and they made the trade up and I think it was the right move wrong.
So I think everybody's a winner there.
Another winner would be the Dallas Cowboys.
One of the biggest things I happened prior to the drop was they made a um being made a big trade, and it was a risky trade.
But I think if it works out right, I think it's gonna be a fantastic trade.
They traded away their second round pick.
Four Brandin cooks again.
Guys, this is all fictional draft here.
It isn't actually what's going in action about what's happening right now. The NFL.
But it was a big trade that happened last night in the NFL draft, and wow, it was it was a big one because I think Brennan Close could bring in kind of speed to this Dallas cowboy team that, uh, especially for it, depending where they place him is gonna be a great fit.
I think that this team here, they're gonna have who Mark Cooper.
They don't have cooks and have Michael Gallant now basically operating from what they had last year.
I think long this Cokes and stay healthy doesn't getting concussions.
I think wasting a second round pick on a guy like that who's got tremendous talent was only 26.
Still, I think we'll be a great fit.
And then they went.
Also picked out with a first round pick, pick pick, see Jake Anderson corner back.
And I think it was a smart move.
Berg. Now they lost Brian Jones to Miami.
Um, and they need to fill that void up.
Got one of the better quarterbacks in the league.
I had just about second on my draft boards, and I think it was a smart move.
It was a need pick.
And I love with when the team goes out there and actually get something they actually need now, Um, and a great pick over off of them.
And this guy would bring a lot of talents and, uh, coverage to the secondary.
So great move for the Dallas Cowboys.
Next up is the Indianapolis Colts on her announcer last night.
Oh, and, uh, lots of, uh, you know, he was telling us about the draft that he doesn't want to move up.
You want to stay put? It didn't want to trade back didn't want to do anything.
They already had their first round pick trade away.
Um, Bill Buckner from the 40 Niners, as we all know, that Israel Life stuff.
And then he just sat there and he waited for the guy he really wanted.
And we were all wondering we're all in here talking with him.
He wouldn't tell us who it was to.
The draft pick was, uh, and he went out.
And in the second round, the 34th overall pick, they went out and got Jordan love quarterback.
Um, they went and got their quarterback.
The future, without having to trade up, didn't have to give up a lot or anything.
Basically, to get this guy who is an extreme talent, talented arm Concrete's plays out of nothing.
And he kind of reminds you of Pat Mahomes.
Although he's very raw, still needs work to be done.
It shouldn't be starting right away.
Thank you for that.
First, the phone finger.
I mean to sit for a year, and he's in a perfect I think situation where he's gonna have Philip Rivers starting in 2020.
He can come in 2021 take over.
And he's got a fantastic offensive line.
The culture one of the best offensive lines game.
So give him time in the pocket.
Makes smart, great throws that.
I think he could really stop this team up.
And the Colts could be a team in a couple years now That could be on the rise once again after, you know, kind of losing after losing era and look for a while there.
And then they also later on.
And what got Enzo whims out of Baylor wide receiver? Um, again, this was a little controversy, I hope is a good pickle for all.
Uh, this is a real no kind of junk up, all kind of guy who I think this time and bear It was really good.
And they still need another weapon. There.
T Why we all know is getting older.
Paris Campbell hopefully is jumping up, and hopefully we'll make those next steps.
And Zach Pascal already kind of mentioned he was more of a kind of just an average guy just above average wide receiver and bringing whims, and I think we'll just be a fantastic pick for them, and it's been a little long way.
And, um, it was a great, great moves and stick around for the whole story there.
And then the next one was my Miami Dolphins.
Yes, I'm a Dolphins fan.
Yes, I know it sucks, but Miami made a trade up.
They went up and drafted to a They traded the 26th pick and the fifth pick for the third pick in the draft.
They went about their guy to is gonna be a staple point for this franchise for the next No.
He gets it even sitting here if he has to behind Ryan Fitzpatrick, he doesn't have to worry about going in starting, which is a fantastic thing.
Um, I think he has a time to heal from that hip injury.
Still, I think it's not gonna be concerned as we get moving forward in the league, and this guy could make all of Rose.
And one thing I think it's really good at this.
Dolphins team wants the leader at the quarterback position.
Ryan Fitzpatrick demands the locker room when he's there and quarterback right now, and I think to a can do the same thing to do is been known to be a great leader of the Alabama team, and I think once he's healthy, fully healed, it may not be in 2020 but 2021.
He could be the full time started in Miami and make this team great, which really hasn't really seen that kind of greatness.
And a quite a while.
Lexie, who thinks of joining.
But yes, my mom went with that pick and then later on, um, they end up trading back down, then trading back up to get your gross make toast.
Defensive end out of Penn State and defense was still need for this team, and they went out and got it again.
This guy, great sack leader, Greek tackle for lost kind of guy.
You can't have enough Ed Rogers edge rushers in your team here.
Yes, Miami, but I've got a lot of defensive pieces, but they're gonna have to replenish that some point.
Guys like Charles Harris they drafted a couple years ago, reason really handing out.
They're gonna have to get another young talent in there.
They don't have a lot of money to, and I think this I can feel that need and boy for this team here.
Uh, and then in the second round, they went out about the Andres with in the second round pick.
They elected to go over that over Jonathan Taylor, and I thought it was the right move.
You know, Swift, I think will fit much better with Jordan, Jordan, Howard, who was there for the next two seasons, I think Taylor and how it would have been too similar of running backs.
Who really a Jesse thinks of drawing in.
Um, you know, No, Jonathan Taylor and Jordan.
How would have been too similar? They're more heavy nose runners up.
Got kind of guys gonna bulldoze you over less with the small exclusive you can kind of make you miss, you know, stop and go.
He's got greatest boost acceleration to him, and I think you're fit nice and much nicely with Jordan Howard.
So, you know Miami Getting Swift in second round was a great pig.
And then the last second round pick, they had his hero, uh, Cleveland often Alignment of Boise State.
It would have been nice to see Miami ghetto often attack or early on in the draft, just because I think it's still a major need for this team.
But they won't even get a guy who I think is a bit underrated and getting him the late in the second round.
I think it was a great move.
This guy could come in Week one and start for this team. He's got.
He's got great, no coverage.
Told him he's got no good hand, good sized hole in my mind.
I think he could make a big impact for this dolphin friendly intended to protect whoever the quarterback is in 2020.
So my may think is a one another winner of this draft here.
Then we go to New England, Um, New England again.
Um, they went and not elected to go quarterback on this on this, any of their draft picks here.
They didn't go up and get a quarterback or anything that made people thought they consider doing the State put.
They actually traded back in the draft a little bit and they got a guy basically a steel last hot 10 towns and a J s beyond the defensive end out of Iowa.
They got him in the 20 ego overall pick.
I thought it was a career move without, basically, just kind of waited and got a new defensive play for their team.
This team lost a lot of defensive players in this free agency classroom now and having a guy like that who has top 10 potential tone, I think it was a fantastic move for them, and they need to rebuild this team now post Tom Brady.
And then in the second round, they got a price and Hopkins the tight end.
Um, and I thought that was another great move to, um, you know, they're gonna need count on the offense, whoever the quarterback is, Brian or jokes.
Um, maybe someone else comes in.
They don't really have a tight end right now.
Um, again, Ben Watts was airtight and last year and games of 39 weeks, 39 years old, tight.
And you need a young guy in there who could kind of get downfield and get downfield quick.
And that's what kind of Hopkins could do.
He's a good block or two, but he's definitely known for his catches, and he's gonna be a guy could be a good friend to Joseph him or Brian Boye whoever the quarterback is and be someone who just up middle of field and kind.
Just get you those actually ours when you need him.
So, uh, like another great linger there, Um And then I will go and talk about the, um the wide receivers.
Um, wide receivers and the rookie plot here are cute is this is a passing league.
Now, guys and 12 wide receivers go in the 1st 2 rounds.
Six in the first round alone.
Um, it was a big thing.
Wide receiver seems to be a heavy thing.
He works on a ****. This chief steam.
Would they have plenty of talent all over the field And you need a wide receiver to do that? A lot of teams went out there and grab the wide receiver so that the wide receiver rookies are a big winner of them own on their own self on.
Then I'll start with Seattle first, but I don't want to give up the big secret yet.
But Seattle, um, they had a great draft us.
Well, they took two defensive players early on one of the first round and leveled Goldman fella more defensive tackle from Oklahoma.
They got him and late first around.
I think they need to rebuild this defensive line up.
Joe, leaning founding may or may not be coming back, so they usually need to bring some pressure.
The quarterback and I thought that was a smart move right then there.
I didn't think they reached for whatsoever.
On the second round, they got Julian of, uh, and Russia from Boise State.
I thought it was another good, great pick there.
Someone who kind of dropped a little bit.
But it could have been earlier.
Second round pick in.
I thought they were too great pics of a defensive line to rebuild it.
Younger price don't have.
They may not get cloudy.
Now, at that point, you know, if that's the case and I thought it was a great move overall, great move for them.
And then the very last pick of the second round, they went out and got, um they went out and got a date.
Dobbins, running back from Ohio State, who fell really hard in this draft.
You kind of say he could be a loser.
We'll talk about that a few, but, um, the 60th pick The real reason behind it was, Come on.
I mean, Chris Carson last year of his contract.
Guy who's been injured guy who was bumble time sharp, any you know, they have under contract still, but he can't seem to stay healthy.
Ever Dobbins to come in and be the starter in 2021 easily.
And and he's gonna be healthy, too, so that I think it was a big a big not need.
But, um, you know, thinking smart and just making sure you have a solid running back and getting him in the 60th pick of the draft.
I mean, basically a steel for this Seattle team could be left without a great starting running back in 2021 if they didn't do this and then the last one, probably the highlight of the entire draft here.
And, um, it was the Los Angeles Chargers and which forced Miami to comment reasons why they had trade up.
But, you know, the charges went out and traded their sixth overall pick and got Matthew Stafford.
Any Annabella banks of joining Matthew Stafford with the sixth pick was Ah ah, huge move there.
They obviously are.
This this charters in a wind now situation.
They stop father defense with great players are getting injury players back Design.
Chris Harris, The and Bring brought back Awesome echo in the offense.
And Hunter Henry.
They were left without a quarterback.
Tyrod Taylor would have been the four back.
Would have been a terrible situation, but they went out there.
Got Matthew Stafford.
I think Matthew Stafford would be is gonna be great for this team here.
Yes, he has some injury concerns over the last couple seasons now, but this man was doing really good and he's a great fan support about just a great NFL quarterback to giving all the pros and legal.
This charming team is a wind now move, and they got their franchise quarterback for the next six years.
They could have a guy here to play until he's 38 years old.
He's 32 now, but you know, they could get some serious time out of a team who was actually ready to win now.
And instead of electing to go with the young guy, they went out and got the veteran who is ready to make them a soup or wrong a couple other picks.
I thought this was another great one.
That Austin Jackson offensive tackle in the draft and second round as well.
I think that was a major need for this team.
They allowed their like one of bottom teams in offense, offense of Lions over the last four seasons.
So and they need to get somebody.
And then they got a guy who has first round great talent in the second round.
Um, Austin Jackson.
I think he's a tremendous block reason.
The great blind side, too.
You know Matthew Stafford, and it's been the great.
It's a great book, this team and then the last pick of their second round.
They got Jonathan Taylor, a Wisconsin running back on, and he was the second running back off the board.
And this is a guy.
They fits perfectly what they need right now.
They have lost in a killer who was a you know, you know, multi dimensional kind of guy who'd been played, who's in the passing game, who could run the ball.
They don't have it in between the tackles old line guy, and that's what John Taylor could do for this team.
You could be a fantastic in between the tackles early, down or beat down the running, the defensive players let that would kind of do things later on in the game.
I think it's perfectly what they're gonna do.
They can split the carries up.
They don't get off my clothes, much work, and they get him in a second round, which you really can't beat that.
So, Taylor, it's great paper for this harvest team and again, a couple other ones.
Obviously, we're good.
I mean, since I had a good draft open, I have a pretty good draft overall.
Um, some of these teams went out, got great season, and I thought that was a really good good for them.
And I really like that one.
Before we get to loses, there's just one middle guy had a little bit issues with, um, and that was a jog.
Wires taking tea.
Higgins in the top 20.
I was 21 I believe.
Um, I thought that was a bit too soon form a bit of a question mark what they need.
Miss Team wants a lot of offensive pieces, and they have, ah, that that wide receivers, I think they could have waited until later around so kind and go get a guy Higgins again.
A great guy cut up, no zoning on the ball.
And you saw that in the national championship game.
And, you know, you saw that his entire senior senior season.
I mean, this guy's a beast, but, um, I think they had better needs of the time.
You know, they have sharp they have west work. They have conley.
They put a singer on tender and keep holding have Marqise Lee coming back from injury.
I think they could have waited on this position, and But this has to go for in the first round.
And I thought it was a think, a scare tactic that they wanted to get a wide receiver.
But they got earlier that I think they really should have gone.
It's so middle round because they did pretty good.
The rest the draft. But that won't pick their army.
I was definitely a bit of a question mark in in my eyes, and now we're on total losers.
A couple of guys here, um I think one of the biggest one.
So thank you for the whistle.
I appreciate that, um me, I think the buildup eagles, unfortunately lost right now in this draft.
Yes, they need a wider see, They need a wider see her help? Absolutely.
I mean, you have injuries, you have guys, But the fact that they went out and drafted too wide receivers in the 1st 2 rounds, I thought it was a bit much.
This team still needs help with often, Zits happen.
They need help in the secondary that things they did not addressing this offseason as much, and they went out and go get two guys in the 1st 2 rounds here.
I mean, they got Jalen Rigor in the first round.
I thought that was a bit higher form.
I feel like it could be traded back in the draft and got him later in the first round or even the second round, and they got KJ Hamel out of Penn State again.
I love these guys.
I think they're great wide receivers.
I think they do a lot of great things.
They're very diverse individuals who will fit in this team here.
But there are so many other needs and this team can just run on open that Carson wants to get this offense the next level.
You saw what happened last year with that secondary? Um, I'm just getting beat constantly, constantly.
And they didn't just overall, so it was a bit of a head scratcher for me.
I just I can't see why Taking too wide receivers in the 1st 2 rounds.
It wasn't the best move, but they do have two wide receivers now in Philly for that in there.
A camel's things for joining.
Um, And then we go over to Minnesota.
Um, overall, I thought they could have made different moves there than that they did.
Um, they took Justin Jefferson, who I'm very high on, but they still have more needs, and I think they could have waited on him a couple weeks later.
There's a difference in price there when it comes to that, you know, you pigs here in there on and who they could have got him.
They had two picks and one was the 22nd of leaving. One was 26.
I think they could have got him a couple pics later, but they decided to get him early.
I think There were other players on the board.
Still that they could have went after a time.
They needed help with line.
They needed help.
Her corner, which they did address a little bit later in the draft.
They still need some help on the offensive line.
And to me, I feel like they made a couple reaches, In my opinion, Jeff Godly.
See point back out.
I thought it was a good cornerback, but I thought it was more of a second round kind of pick.
Their Lloyd crushed, very guarded.
L s U another guy who I thought could have went in later in the third or fourth rounds of drafts.
It wasn't as high on him.
I thought he was a little slow coming off off line on his ability there.
A coleslaw already talking about how great your colds work.
Winners of this draft.
Um you know, I thought they could have waited a little bit on them on and taking Justin.
Justin, Justin Jefferson.
A little early for me and for me.
I think Vikings reported lost this draft.
On the next up, I have the New York Jets.
They have you loving pick on the board and unfortunately, traded down, Uh, their strategy didn't really work out.
Yes, they think they've got a an extra sent around picking 2021.
Can't go wrong with that.
But unfortunately, traded down, um, and they went and got Henry rugs on.
I thought it was him.
At this point. I think there was a little early.
I think they made a little panic decision.
That was a I think they need a wide receiver right now.
They don't have any talent outside of really James and Crowder and unfortunately, went wrong.
Zs rugs, I think is one of the fastest water secrets in this draft class, and I think he'll make a big impact with this team.
But, uh, at that point, if they're gonna goto wide receiver, I think they couldn't.
Just told me 11 pick with Judy or CD Lambo, I think are true.
Number one receiver for this in this draft here, and they traded down, they got run still.
But, um, you know, sometimes when you trade down, it doesn't always work out for you.
So to me, I thought they were losers, but I feel like they should have went out and drafted Lambert, Judy and had themselves a true wide receiver, one over rugs of roots.
And then the next one here, running backs, complete losers.
I mean, come on, guys.
I mean, not one running back in the first round.
Uh, there's a lot of great talent that running backs deep class.
Still, even after losing, some guy's going back to college.
But, uh, you know, you didn't get our first running back to go until pick 39.
I thought there could have been something to cut.
It could have got him in the first round.
At least one of these guys in the first round, but not a single runningback was taken.
Um, hasn't happened quite a while since we've seen blasting and non running back taken in the first round.
So for them, the murky running backs loses in this draft because they lost out on some money, right better.
And then we talk about the Detroit Lions playoff hopes, definitely loses of your Detroit Lions fan.
You gotta be somewhat thrilled, but somewhat confused that what's going on with his organization right now? I mean, they're in a situation right now that they have mapped your show support of the other quarterback at their head coaching position right now, a guy who's basically on his way up a Skinner.
Things have drawn it, Um, basically on his play out right now.
I mean, I think one more bad season, Mac Patricia could be seeing the front door row quickly and fans who were expecting them to make the playoff run or something.
At some point this coming season, you're gonna you're lost.
I mean, they're not making a playoff one now.
They're starting over as talk about Matthew Stafford already being traded to the Los Angeles Chargers.
They loud and pick and they got doesn't Herbert.
Um, I think he needs some work to be done still on him.
Brush his decision making.
I think it could make all the throws, eyes a tall guy, but he needs some work.
Have you done still? And he's probably gonna start a little bit this year, but you're not.
When you're not making the playoffs with Justin Herbert this coming season here, I think they still need us in pieces on the defensive side, the ball.
They need to fix their offensive line for sure who has not been in a lot of running game go for more than, like, 100 yards responsible last couple seasons now.
I mean, they need to work on that.
The grand they did get out, you know, they got a crop.
They got some good players.
I got a patrician whiffs offense alignment.
That was a great pig for them.
I thought that was good overall.
But again, their playoff hopes this coming season, you're gonna have to start over with Herbert.
And it's just a question mark with this this regime right now, because they seem to be on the ends of their time right now in Detroit.
So question marks there.
But overall, if they're starting fresh now, I thought that was good for them.
But for those fans out there who were expecting playoff push, that's not happening.
Twittering Now, guys, they're starting to rebuild.
And then last but not least, the last very last one is are the Tennessee Titans.
Um, they went out and drafted in the late in the first round.
Um, look, Travis, um, she's no, I can't say the same guy's eyes wide receiver out of Colorado.
Big question marks there, guys.
I mean, yes, they could maybe use another wide receiver, but there is definitely more needs on this team you want to replace.
You know, often attacker confidence just left this Regency.
They trade away defensive tackle Casey.
This year, they had other.
He's that they could have addressed it early on in this draft, but they went with the wide receiver.
Um, I think you have to give coy Davis and more time, I think, giving him if he's healthy this year.
It wasn't really there when they made their magical run last season.
So him being there, I thought was it could be a much better situation for them on going wide receiver in the first round, with much but different more needs.
They have right now like they needed.
They're going back with Derrick Henry.
Guys, they need a dress that often sublime, and they did not do that in this first round.
They could have easily had done that.
Not like Austin Jackson could have went there easily for me.
From my own opinion, I mean, but they went wide receiver there on it seemed to try to make it more balance.
You're not gonna give Ryan Tannehill.
You should not get Ryan Tunnel or Opportunity throw.
You guys won because Derrick Henry took that.
Took that team over last year, rounded on his back.
He could do that for a couple more seasons and left town.
He'll make the smart I'll no less strap strategic, froze and just let him get the ball down the field.
Open receivers while the boxes their stocks back.
And this picture, I just It just doesn't make any sense to me.
So overall, I think they're just loses at this point in the draft.
So but that is the end of the winners and losers of the Unwrap sports NFL Draft Brown one.
And to hopefully get to do this again with a lot of fun again.
Um, if you guys want to see that fool draft coverage, everything that happens, uh, I know I can't leave.

So she broke down the first and second round.

So I appreciate guys all for listening and tune back in because Unwrap will help come back.
Hopefully again and do another one of these drafts.
It was a lot of fun to do, and it gives us something with a would sports being on the hiatus right now.
So I think you guys awful listening.
Appreciate it and take care follower on rap and see you next time goes.
