Ladies and gentlemen, a dp n give a big round of upon applies to Connor Company.
Hey, Thank you That I'm blushing.
Are you how we do it? Good. Thank you.
Ah, Living the dream brother.
Living the dream? Absolutely.
We excited for the off season or what? Oh, jeez.
It hasn't been good. So called.
Give me one second here for some reason I'm getting a weird feedback.
Are you okay? You're there? Yep.
Perfect. There we go. It was streaming through.
SportsCastr and I could hear myself talking here, and you double up, but we're good now.
All right, Good.
We're good to go.
So thanks for coming in, man.
I appreciate you having me.
It's like I said, I I accidentally found you on Twitter.
Yeah, and ah, you were I don't know.
You're doing some joke about saving something on a PVR and blame it on your sister.
And they caught me so funny that I had to just I had to come in.
I had to find you.
I had to follow you.
Then you started Connor commentary with you and I have talked about in the past that I believe should have such a bigger following than it does.
It's such a great show.
I'm hoping the people on this podcast listen to it.
And, uh, what i'll do is guys is after this is all done in the comments.
I'll put out the link to his ah, two corners YouTube page, and I'll also I retweet all stuff on Twitter all the time, but keep an eye out for it.
Good. That's great. So let me start.
How are you? How's the family? Are you all doing? Are you suggesting I safe right now? Yes.
So that's the good thing, man.
Not too much going on in my general area.
But, you know, it's it's crazy.
The numbers are multiplying by the day.
How you doing out there? How's your family? Everyone's good.
We're Yeah, we're surviving.
We all seem to be okay right now.
We unfortunately live in what seems to be the epicenter in Toronto.
Uh, it's Ah, where you were.
The epicenter of Canada are numbers.
Just We went up by another 100 today.
Oh, yeah, It's schools have been shut down.
We're going on a week to This was my first week.
My wife is still working.
Oh, really? Yeah, she's a champ.
She's still essential personnel.
Apparently she is a part of the supply chain Thio, um, to real estates and real estate.
Real estate right now is what's actually keeping our economy alive here.
So Ah, because of that, she's still staying open.
We don't know how much longer that's gonna be But so you know well, we have that fear, but their herd company's done a really good job.
I mean, they all say, 20 feet away from each other.
They scream across the room at each other, and the guys have got to go out and deliver the stuff to the Realtors, whatever.
They don't even come in the showroom anymore, so Oh, really? I mean, you don't feel great about it.
Hey, you feel better.
I think they're doing everything they can.
I'm Day three of Mike Warranty and I'll tell you the truth.
I'm going. I'm going bananas.
Ah, you know, my kids like God bless him.
It's been a week and 1/2 now.
They're doing pretty good.
They're doing pretty good, but it's a nice day today.
They're calling you a nicer tomorrow.
I told them I'm like you have to have the work from home, and tomorrow we're going for a walk.
We got to get some fresh air, some vitamin D, and just absolutely get out for a little bit and avoid all my neighbors.
We're gonna try to talk to me because you know what it is.
I want to remind the bread's It's it.
Then I wanted my other people on SportsCastr.
If you do have any questions, please put them in the chat and Carter and I will answer them as we go along here.
Kinda usually just wait till the end of the show.
Okay, so if you're okay with that, we'll go through our talk and then we'll go.
I see that Joe's on.
Joe, can you give me an OK? Do you see me clearly, you hear us Clearly.
I need to know what's going on.
I just bought it.
I just had to spend man yesterday.
Why they spent the two days ago online picked it up.
Yesterday was surreal experience.
I'll tell you about that in a minute.
I just spent, like, $1100 on new equipment because really, it's how we good, thank you.
Everything was chopping up.
Everything was bad.
Everything was just brutal.
And ah, so I had to go out by new computer by some new stands.
By some new stuff.
It was, But you know, it was funny because someone said yes to the hell of toilet paper.
Man, when you need video equipment, that's what you spend your money on right? Seriously, You guys have hoarding where you are, right? You're a mass, I assume, right? Yeah, I'm in Massachusetts.
I am in a city that's, like, 20 minutes from Boston.
And I don't I don't know.
I haven't noticed that when I go to the stores, I think it's pretty well stocked, but I don't know.
I'm sure there are some people doing it.
We got a bad here.
It I went shopping when this thing first broke.
I mean, we're talking first broke your here in Canada, and I think at that time, we had, like, 70 cases, right? And I went shopping the pasta.
I'll empty toilet paper.
All right? I did by Uncle Ben's rice, you know, expensive land prices compared the regular rice.
And it wasn't even like the good flavored stop.
It was like the jasmine plain ass white rice.
Oh, well, yes, that's where we are in this world right now, and it's for my end.
Lies now do our shopping force, because what they've done up here is ah, lot of seniors were getting trampled.
So now is they open up from seven till nine o'clock.
It's only for seniors can go without their shopping.
So now they have.
They do my shopping for me, and I could do the same thing here.
They just started that as well.
Yeah, because it's it's insane, right? People were going nuts, man.
That losing their minds, John.
So you know what? Let's hope that this is over sooner rather than later.
I think we still got a big, long haul that we got to go.
And I know that Ah, you guys were having some problems with testing and stuff up there.
So I hope that that all clears up, gets a little quicker as your along and ah, you know, and, uh, let's just all be safe and hopefully God, I I can't tell you how much I hope this is over before football season starts.
Yeah, And then I was just saying that today I would be devastated if this affects the season in any way.
Oh, yeah, It would be what? There's only one upside, and I don't care how evil this sounds.
Imagine if Tom Brady can't play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has to take a whole year off he's not gonna come back a 45 years old after taking an entire season off.
Now, I would be absolutely shocked.
Yeah, not a chance.
So maybe Tampa Waste is $30 million guaranteed dollars.
And Ah, and we don't have to watch Tom Brady playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Right? That would That would be nice, man.
I don't want to see him play for anybody else.
It's going to kill me to watch that.
We're gonna get into that in a second.
But I do wanna bring one more non football related topic up for you.
A cz you kill it on Twitter Or try what's your twitter handle? This? So the people up there knowing Connor commentary with with one end I see it right here in the corner.
Can they see that right there? Guys that they could see that commentary guy kills it, kills it on Twitter.
Thank you one there all the time.
Now it's off quarantine, man.
I got nothing to do.
I was on it all the time.
You would not insult if my boss ever went on Twitter to see how often I'm on there during the day.
That's a great point.
I'm telling you, I'd be I'd be screwed.
But I'm on there today and ah, people.
Some people appear they're upset with some of our politicians.
I for one who have not supported our politicians.
So I'm not like I'm a you know, I'm not Ah, pumper.
And we got Canadian politicians.
It's a little bit different than right down there, but it's cause I always say here, like our conservative government, which is like, you know, I guess your Republican is actually probably more equivalent to your Democratic government down there, you know? Really? Yeah.
And are liberals are more like Bernie? Okay.
What? I mean, so very socialist, Very that kind of thing, right? So right.
It's always weird up here when they're like, they're like, Oh, yeah, you racist reporter, you racist conservatives.
And and we see what happens down in Georgia.
And I'm like, No, I'm like, you're confusing the two different politics right way don't have a true, like Republican conservative, but in my province, our premiere, which would be like your governor of your state people, Some people are upset with him now.
I don't like the guy I never have.
I think he's Ah.
His brother was the mayor of Toronto.
I don't You probably heard about my crack smoking mayor.
Oh, I know exactly that guy.
Like a reward for Rob brought forward.
Okay, so his brother Doug is now our premiere.
And what? He's dead.
As his first year in power, he he got vendetta against everybody in Toronto.
He shrunk city Council.
He took over the subways and made them provincial.
He used ah law to to the toronto tried to fight some something he put in and use the law that has never been used in the history of our of our province.
What? I mean, so, yeah, I don't like the guy.
I'm not a big deal.
It's funny thing is, I love the crack smoker.
Hey, it seemed like a funny guy. He was funny.
He and he was passionate about this city man, and he really did he cut the gravy train.
I love them, but I don't like his brother, but he's actually I thought he's done a really solid job throughout this whole thing.
I've been probably even our prime Minister who I owe, I think is a goof.
Yeah, they've both done.
I've been pretty proud of my government compared to when I look around the world.
It's on the way. Some of the other governments have responded.
I've been very proud of our government.
How we did things.
I mean, it's not fast enough for people, but I don't know much faster.
You know, you're right.
You can't make irrational decisions.
Yes, so I hold it.
It's a big leap up for nice.
Nothing to do with what I'm gonna ask.
Okay, so I'm on Twitter today and some guy says, you know, he responds back to our premier who thanked our nurses.
Right? Which I know it would turn into a partisan conversation because, God forbid, we can just say thank you to the nurses without arguing politics.
Right? Well, you never can.
You can never just say thank you.
You know eso eso he writes You've lost your voters confidence Now I did vote for him because our voting systems a little bit different here.
We don't actually vote for our leader.
We vote for our representative in our in our city, right? Like I don't actually vote for my prime minister.
I vote for the representative of my city.
And if they get the most votes, they become prime Prime Minister.
Your name? Okay? I will never click Justin Trudeau.
It's not an option for us.
I voted because it's actually our health minister, so it's kind of weird.
All right? I lied.
I rose real big support of our repertoire of our minister.
So I did vote conservative.
I did vote for him, but it was because of her, not him.
And I said, You know what I said? I said, he's actually got my vote back.
Don't speak for everybody else. Speak for yourself.
I thought there's a very fair comment to make, right? Yeah, he responds back to me.
And why would And why? Why? Why what? Why should I do that question? Mark and I was like, Are you really asking me why you shouldn't speak for the masses? You know what I mean? Like, are you really asking me this question? Are you really ask me? Why should you? Greg, the retired schoolteacher, Why should you not be the representatives of Ontario? And But that got me thinking like that's the problem with Twitter now.
Yes, Twitter is very bad with that type of stuff, and we can't have any kind of conversation.
I like to go on Twitter.
I like to find out what's going on with the Patriots.
Yeah, I like to go into my private shot and catch up with a couple of my homies, right? Not joking, guys.
I go on to see what corner has to say because he's all like, he just you got me the other day.
There was a couple weeks ago when you were talking about Bryan Adams, when when they quit the band.
Uh, you think you're having a bad day like that? Just I I texted my wife that right after the credit for that joke, it's funny. I was at work.
When I put that, I asked my manager and he didn't get it.
Really? Yeah, I don't know how I had to explain it to him. It's hilarious.
Funny is when you have to explain it, you know what I mean? You know, I texted my wife and she just got him out Well, and I don't get a lot of Allah wills. You get I roll.
So you won over my wife, and I'm gonna I'll be honest with my nights of credit for it.
And I didn't I didn't give you the credit of play.
That's all right.
Like I make her laugh. I do.
So I go on, I go to see what you have to say, because I know you could have some sarcastic A and you Sometimes it's the most serious topics.
And you, uh you do a quote retweet, and I just I just kill myself laughing.
That's why I had to have you on here.
Yeah, If you're anything in real life like your Twitter account, I think that I have We lived in the same like place would be we'd be best friends.
I mean, but it's like That's what I want to see, but we cannot have a conversation.
I tweeted something about Julian Edelman, and I had people on there talking about Donald Trump.
But I'm like your first of all, I'm ****ing Canadian.
So don't coming on here talking to me about Donald Trump because I don't give my opinion on Donald Trump because I'm the only time I ever have is when he screwed us in tariffs, you know, I mean, that's the only time because he screwed my country.
Unless that What? What happens to you guys? No offense gone.
It doesn't affect me.
You okay? It doesn't even really affect.
So if it doesn't affect me, I have nothing to say about your president.
Like, don't talk about my prime minister.
I won't talk about your president, right.
Well, I let me bash my own in my own, right? Yeah, exactly.
But I'm like, bro, Why are you in here talking about Donald Trump? You gotta be like, Why are you in here? Why does everything we talk about have to turn into this and I don't? To me, it's just Twitter can be such a powerful tool.
We can joke week.
Look without Twitter, I never would have met you.
I never exactly.
You know, I got this private chat.
We call it the inner circle, which are people.
They started his fans of my show and we got to know each other.
I actually consider a lot of them friends.
You okay? One of them is in Australia.
One lives a Rochester, New York.
You know what I mean? Like it's Ah, another one's out in Maine and it's like I never would have met these people.
I never met them in person.
We were over the Internet, you know? I mean and informed these relationships to the point where something happened.
One of them, I'd probably be sad, like your demeanor upset like it was a friend.
And it's like you have this powerful tool you got.
Someone like you has this powerful tool to to make people laugh, make people feel better themselves.
Sometimes I'm ****ed and I click on Twitter and I just you and I'm not looking for you.
But I see one of your tweets and it just enlightens my day.
That's the goal, man, but I think that we have 20% of us.
Use it for those reasons.
And the other 80 is just for toxic waste, right? That's I think that's completely accurate.
And honestly, I think Twitter is the worst.
I'm on all of them.
I don't know about you, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, take talk, whatever any anything to go on.
And I think Twitter is like rabbit hole sometimes where it's just crazy negativity.
You'll put something as a joke.
And then it will spiral into a thing where it's just people complaining, like us saying Julian Edelman.
And then someone starts talking about Donald Trump, and it's like There's no correlation there. Just looking to argue.
That's exactly what it is.
And, you know, in a majority of my followers are from Boston.
You don't make sense.
You're an argument bunch, you know? I mean, I got it.
It's that I've learned that about Boston or just mass in general.
And I got a family that lives out in New Brunswick, which is really close to Maine.
Yeah, I know it. Is it. Yep.
So I find New Brunswick people and people from Maine very similar.
You again and again, their argument of people out there.
So I get it, masses argumentative.
And in Toronto, where we're kind of we're like the New York in Canada.
So we're very arrogant on the perfect Patriots fan, right? I'm like an arrogant Torontonians who walks around with his Brady jersey, just like our six rings.
You know, I think the most a with a market of room for Oh, yeah, and I'm on.
I'm in Buffalo. Bill's countryman.
Yes, they must really hate you.
Oh, yeah, they hate me, but people are sitting here like, how do you become a Patriots fan? And my old man was a page us when this became a patch fan.
Yeah, it could be honest with you.
It was 19 years around 95 or 96.
I can never remember the exact year they weren't in the Super Bowl yet.
But we got like I, especially young kids, are like in their early twenties.
I try to explain to them that back in the day, we got one game at one o'clock, one game at four o'clock, you know, like there was no Sunday ticket.
There was no this I 35 channels.
And that was like my parents had, like, the primo package, right? We got TBS superstation.
And, like, we were like, the king ****s on my street E because I got the watch Gilligan's Island in the morning and W C w on Saturdays.
So it was like we were like that king of the rats, I So there was no games like we I got Atlanta Braves Baseball, Toronto Blue Jays baseball.
I got Buffalo Bills, football, New England, Patriots, football, Detroit Lions football and, Ah, And then we got and we didn't get baseball and hockey every day.
We got, like, two days a week, a hockey, two days, a week of baseball, like it wasn't the way it was.
And I was a little kid and I had the Lions.
The Bills in the Patriot, like the Patriot jerseys Better.
Oh, is that what it came down to it when it was the only three teams that they aired? Yeah, those were the three games.
Those were the three teams we got every week, week and, you know, and occasionally if there was a bye week, we got Miami way.
Always got the A F C East in Detroit because we're close to Detroit here, right? So it was.
And because we're closer to Buffalo, we always got a F C East.
So it was like and I didn't even get to watch the Patriots every week, you know, because of Buffalo at one o'clock game in New England at one o'clock in there.
We showed Buffalo right? My old man was a Patriots fan, so he told me that I hated Buffalo.
You know what I mean? And then we went on.
So now, being a buffalo Bill's gone first.
Well, they all think I'm a bandwagon, which I love.
I embrace it, right? People must go nuts over that.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Oh, you see, in person, I go out to a bar.
A How long you been a Patriots fan for last week? It is not an issue, but ah, but here's here's now, this is gonna lead in perfect to my next.
My next segment here.
I'm the next line of questions.
So let me tell you about my day last Tuesday.
All right? I'm driving in in the morning.
This cold bed viruses is increasing.
We had our our biggest, you know, our biggest ah, positive test outbreak we had yet.
And I hear that at 8 30 in the morning, my prima is gonna come out, and they're gonna put my province into a state of emergency.
Yeah, Um, start talking about closing nonessential businesses and all this kind of stuff, So I'm driving a working eight o'clock thinking.
I'm sitting in my car.
I call in to the other manager.
I'm a manager of my place to call into the other man's.
I'm gonna listen to this.
This Ah, you know Doug Ford things because, Well, come on in.
You know, im list on my computer.
So I go on and we're sitting there not practicing social distancing and watching them tell us to practice social distancing.
Yeah, and it's scary, right? When you hear state of emergency, you're like, Oh, my God.
And schools were shutting down the schools until April 6, and now they just extended that like So we're just like we're getting worried, right? Right.
So he finishes this boat, I don't know, 10 after nine.
And I'm like, Oh, my God! So I'm about to call my wife cause I know she's at work watching the same thing.
And you know, I know she's probably worried.
And so I'm walking back to my office.
I click on my phone and I see a headline.
I'm looking down and I Tom Brady.
What? Click on this thing? Oh, Brady announced that he's leaving the Patriots, so I called my wife.
She thinks now I'm calling the doctor about the state of emergency.
I start talking about Tom Brady.
You're not gonna believe what happened.
I know. I just saw You saw.
Where is he going to go? What are you talking about? Brady just bounces.
Not going back to the Patriots.
Is your wife a fan? No, she wasn't there.
She likes to watch the games with Meeks.
I think she likes to watch my reaction to the games.
Yeah, but, uh, she enjoys it.
She's gotten the no fool, but she hated it at first.
He's gotta know football, but here we are. We're in a state of emergency.
She's panicking about a state of emergency.
And I'm calling about Tom Brady.
Yeah, that was my last Tuesday.
It was It was devastating, You know, every Tom Brady.
So what was your reaction to Brady leaving? Honestly, man, I couldn't believe it at first.
I You have been saying all along.
I never thought that he was gonna leave.
I thought there was no way they weren't gonna find a way to get a deal done.
And when he came out and said that I was like, Nah, mom, like this can't be real.
I went on and checked like everyone's thing. Adam Schechner.
I had to make sure that everyone said it, so I knew it was real.
And honestly, I don't I don't know what's gonna happen next.
Wait, who do you think's gonna start? I think it's gonna be here instead of I do, too.
I think that I think stadium is gonna be our guy.
I think that Ah, I think he's going to surprise a lot of people.
I'm gonna be honest with you.
And and I'm also Look, I'm I completely understand.
People tell me I'm too optimistic, and then I give the patriots too much credit.
Well, that's what people people online loves would say. Is that type of stuff.
Like they love to be downers.
You know what? You want to talk about Twitter being the cess pool? It's actually probably the second cess pool going YouTube comments.
Those are the That's what I've been told.
Yeah, that's why I actually love SportsCastr and and, you know, thank you, neck giving me the opportunity to be on here and do my show on here.
because, um, the crowd here are sports fans, right? And if they don't agree with you, we can have a civilized debate about it.
And I have sat here and had civilized debates with people live on my show.
They're making comments, and we're, you know, we're having respectful arguments, all right? Oh, you two.
When the When the YouTube comments starts with Listen, fat ass, You know, it's just, you know, just going to go downhill from there, right? Right.
And you get used to do I mean, I'm sure with the amount that you're out there on social media, you get used to that kind of stuff.
But every once in a while, you don't want to be called fat ass or a piece of **** her.
You know what I mean? There's e don't want it to happen, right? Eyes on you, like you know what? You know what? You wouldn't say this to my face if I was standing right in front of you exactly half the time and people with no picture or anything, right? I know.
It's it's it's infuriating.
I want them to be like a fat ass when they give me their address? Yeah.
Thinking like, let's have this conversation face to face.
Yeah, they just want to hide behind the egg picture on there.
So how do you think the patriots are gonna do this year? Honestly, men, I I don't even know what the expectation without Tom Brady's gonna be.
I can't imagine the offense getting better at this point, though.
I think the defense will still be pretty good.
I think they're gonna live and die by the defense.
But I said I think it was a week ago.
I got them going, like, nine and seven nine.
It's, um Yeah, that's probably not a That's a safe pick, you know, it really is.
I'm not gonna get my prediction till after the draft.
I want to see what they do at the draft.
That's very true.
That a lot of question marks, Um, I think that the perfect time Ah, to be a Patriots fan is when everybody expects them to suck.
Unit has, um and I got really excited when I saw Devin McCord is comment the other day in the Tribune when he was just like, everybody's already counting us out.
And this and that I'm like, Yes, that's the leadership.
They're throwing their weight behind stadium, which, you know, you could take both ways because, I mean, sometimes I wonder, like, what do we expect? They're gonna come out and say yes, it is a piece of crap.
Of course I support him, right? Right.
But they he brought this up after Brian Hoyer was signed.
So it wasn't even like, Hey, you know, we trust Brian.
We trust steady and and we'll see what they could do.
Like they threw their support behind Jared Stadium immediately.
And I have what's comin.
Ah, Guests are not again.
Ah, viewer of my show.
His name's Joe and he does a Tana Research and sends it all to me.
And, uh, he should be on my payroll, to be honest with you.
But she write any sends me a ton of research, and he started showing me all these draft ****ytics from last year's are from a two years ago from the 2018 draft, when we got Sony, Michelle and, um, they had Jared Stead.
I'm going in the first round.
Oh, really? And then he went back to Auburn and he s wet the bed and he fell down toe, you know, like 1/4 round.
And But when you start reading into it, they had his entire offensive line from the year before either graduated or or went to the NFL is two best receivers injured themselves with a C L injuries before the season started, and he had a choke moment where he blew a big game.
And basically, that's what dropped him down to, ah, to the fourth round.
I'm saying they're going Okay, so Mel Kiper and I'm talking really, like, really draft guys.
You what? I mean, had this kid going in the first round in 2020 18.
It's not like he forgot how to play football.
No, there's no way. Right.
So I again as as an optimist rather than a pessimist.
But I think there's enough pessimism and Pats Nation.
They could be 14 to know, and everybody will tell me why they suck you 100%.
Like, people always talk about the haters.
I'm like there's no bigger hater than a Patriot fan, right? Exactly.
For a team that has been astronomically successful for two decades Oh, Yeah, yeah, There's no no bigger hater than a Patriot fan.
I mean, whenever anybody says to me, they're like, what? Fanbase drives you crazy of something called Patriots Tribe.
You are patriots.
And I'm like, Yeah, exactly.
So I'm like, I can't say it.
I'm like where the worst were awful were we rip our team more than anybody else.
All right? Like, I always tell Chief in, Just sit back and be quiet.
We'll say everything you are saying at some point.
Do we write it exactly? We'll be attacking our own.
Oh, yeah, you know, you see it right? The teams eight know where the kings of the world we lose the game to Baltimore Season's over.
We socked Tom Brady's watch Stop! You're like in the nearly got here, the media saying like you hear what you're saying and that's been going on for, like, 10 years since it's been going on since they really did suck.
Yeah, and I don't tell you something, man.
You guys are so spoiled in Boston.
God, Yeah, with socks and the Celtics and the Bruins.
And, you know, even you guys are so spoiled when the Raptor made it to the finals last year, everybody in Toronto would have been okay with them losing because we finally had We even had a team in the final since 1993 when the Blue Jays won the World Series way were just so happy to be there.
The Bruins lose to the Blues, blow up the team.
You always have to blow it up like this is just ridiculous.
How do you lose? And I'm like, See, this is when you've been winners for so long, which is funny because very much like we are now, Toronto is really a city of losers.
We finally won with the Raptor, so we kind of dug ourselves out of a bigger whole.
But when you're talking nineties, you know what I mean? Even into the boat.
You know, right until you guys finally beat the Yankees there in that in that wicked come back, right? Yeah, which made me that.
Even though I hate the socks, I'll tell you the truth.
I hate the sauce, but maybe the biggest David Ortiz fan in the world.
Yes, that was upset.
Since Larry Bird.
Who the hell have you been? You know what a night.
It hasn't been anything.
And then all of sudden, it's just like a poem and you got Big Poppy, in my opinion, is the greatest baseball player.
Maybe not from a pure talent standpoint, but from an ad.
Baseball needed David Ortiz, right? All the time.
Baseball needed him on my desk.
I have my little David Ortiz guy that always sits in front of me is I do my show.
My Brady stuff is my pager stuff is there? It's my only any Red Sox you'll fight.
Is my little David Ortiz guy that sits right there. Yeah.
I mean, he's, uh, Poppy was the man, and then after the bombings, and he came out and this is our concede E.
And I'm like, How is this guy not the greatest man in the world? Why does he not the mayor of Boston? Well, actually, he did come in, like, third that year when the voting for mayor of Boston, all the writings, right? Other, right.
And yeah, he was He was, like, 30 Got thousands of votes.
Whose clothes? Great police rightfully.
So may I please.
You know what again? Poppy is the kind of guy.
He's kind of like a Derek Jeter.
However, what? He hates someone they're playing.
But I think everybody realizes, like, Holy Jeez, you know, I mean, like like Like when Fenway gave Jeter a standing ovation, you gave a Yankee.
I've seen you guys do that three times.
Bernie Williams, Mariano Rivera and Derek dear.
You're all right, You guys boo Dog Mattingly way.
A lot of people, man.
You d'oh! You do you know.
And it's like, ugh, boot Wade Boggs.
But when to see Fenway do that, who's as much as I don't like the socks? I don't like the Celtics like anything You guys were the most the best fan base in the world.
I always say I'm not kissing people's ass because most of my family's from Boston.
Yeah, literally are the best **** based in the world.
I think you're very knowledgeable.
I, um I always say, I don't think you're as knowledgeable as baseball's you think you are, but you're very knowledgeable fan base, you know what I mean? It's very passionate, very passionate and very argumentative.
Why I love you guys.
Why because I wish we could have that passion Were bandwagons in Toronto, right? I've been a Raptor fan since they since the inception of the team, Right? I think I was like, nine years old.
When they got a team, I became a rafter stand.
There was a lot of new Raptors fans last year that didn't even know half the players names on the team.
Oh, of course you know it is.
It's like they don't have any fans in the stands.
And then when the championship comes, their absolute sellout Oh, yeah, yeah.
I mean, the Raptors are probably the most popular team we have in the city, out of all of them.
But, like one of the Blue Jays finally made the playoffs.
They're back in, like 20 AA for 15 and 2016.
Yeah, like, let me tell you a story about a Boston Red Sox fan.
So Jays are playing the Red Sox on a Sunday or Saturday afternoon one o'clock, Game 105 Pitch off, right? My wife and I Sharif was my girlfriend at the Times.
It's probably back in 2005.
Okay, we show up to the stadium I walk up to the box office stuff.
So someone who goes to Fenway, this is gonna blow your mind, right? I walk up to the box office and I go, What are your two best tickets you got left? They go.
Well, we got four rows behind home plate.
Thing is half an hour before first pitch. Yeah.
I'll take 125 bucks. Whatever. Right.
So I show up the plane, they're playing the Red Sox like that.
That's a big game.
I mean, even if you're right, and I think both teams, let's just find the Red Sox for good.
So you had a good team coming in.
That's when you guys had Manny and you guys had, ah, Poppy and Pedro's pitching.
So you guys had a good team.
So we show up and Ah, and we're 44 rows behind home plate.
And I'm sitting beside two guys from Boston and they got Boston Bruins Fats on.
They're in town for business, and the guy can't believe it.
He's taking pictures, sending them home to people, like taking videos on his ****ty ass flip phone.
Yeah, and I can't do the mass accessible.
He's got the He's got the axe on you like you got the perfect.
You've got the mass accent, You mean? Yeah, definitely.
He's like, Can you believe this city's just going right? And I'm like, Welcome the trunk.
That's what it was like to watch a game in Toronto.
I could get tickets 4.
4 rows up from home plate, right? More than more than 3/4 of stadium empty, right? I see it all the time.
Yeah, they go to the playoffs.
My dad and my sister, who are Blue Jay fans, they go to the game.
My dad said he could touch the roof.
Yeah, they pay 250 bucks a ticket.
I paid 125 to watch.
Probably one of the best Red Sox teams in 100 years.
I could hear them spitting on the ground.
All right, this guy is in the rafters because suddenly everybody in Toronto became a blue Jay fan, Right? Just like that, the night you don't see Fenway half empty, unless it's pouring rain.
And then you look about that half and that other half there.
There are just diehards.
Yes, you see that all the time.
They're there in the ponchos.
They're still going nuts like it's still a few 1000 people there in the pouring rain.
People always talk about.
Although the Patriots Day when we were playing in front of Gillette Stadium has been selling out, I think since 1994 or something of that nature, you mean like they fired consistent cells since 94? For people who don't know, that's pre Tom Brady.
You know, that's young Drew Bledsoe.
All right, you know, like that.
So you guy, I never see Bruins games out full.
I never see Celtics games half full, you know.
I mean, how bad the teams are.
So you guys are passionate, passionate sports city, and I do show a lot of respect for you guys.
It's hard for people to play here, though.
It's so up and down.
It's such a love hate thing.
You know, you're great when you're doing bad, you sock.
Yeah, you turn very easy.
Very easy, very easy.
But I've never seen you guys turn on on Ortiz.
That's what all I've cared about? No, no, you can't.
You can't turn on a tease to clutch.
He's done too many things.
No, there's there's, there's certain people.
But now you guys got a great a great city.
Okay, I got to keep this going, or we're gonna be here for four hours, okay? Love talking to you, man.
I appreciate it.
So I've been seeing a lot of chatter on Twitter and another guy that has a show's called master at work.
His name's Tyson.
Him and I do stuff together a lot, and I'm gonna bring him on the show to talk about this as well.
But I've seen a lot of this tank for trouble, Lawrence thing.
So it's a two part question for you.
Okay, What do you think about the odd? What do you think about the patriots? Like, how would you feel about the Patriots going through a year of pain to get Trevor Laurence? And then the second part of the question is, do you think that Bill belch I could actually let it take happen? Um, I'm gonna say I don't want I personally don't want to see it.
And I don't think Bela Chick would let it happen.
I think, honestly, Bellatrix wants to take the opportunity to prove that he can do it without Brady.
I think that's what Alex wants to do more than anything.
And I think bigger.
Brady kind of wants to do the same thing to prove that he can go do it in Tampa.
So I think Belichick is going to have an incredible coaching season.
I mean, he always does, but I think he really, really wants to prove it.
Yeah, I think you're 100% right to its.
I just He doesn't have it in him to Tank and I would be shocked.
Yeah, and I was seeing it on my show last night.
I said, What do we always start with? Double check how prepared he is, how you know all that kind of stuff, and it's he just what? He's suddenly gonna stop preparing his team.
He's suddenly gonna stop game planning game by game.
He's just do what you want, like just go away this year and then figure it out next year.
It's the exact opposite of his mentality.
That's why I think they're going to draft Jordan love.
That's why I'm here.
And I'm a fan of Jordan love.
He almost reminds me with Stadium.
Had a great 18 had a rough 19 but that's a big turnovers at you Talk and I'm a big fan of his has the same kind of arm throws like Patrick Mahomes does well, but he's got the athleticism to run, but he's more of a stay at home quarterback.
I think he could do, and that's why I think the page is gonna do that and I'm gonna let him instead, um, fight it out.
I think they're going to carry three quarterbacks.
I think they're gonna carry Hoyer.
He's gonna be there to mentor the young quarterbacks.
Yeah, I would agree.
I think that's exactly what they brought Hoyer, and he already knows the system as good as anybody in, you know, for a cheap money.
He's gonna be a great mentor for whoever is the starter.
It was really amazing to me how many people got upset by the Hoyer signing like it really was.
They just didn't get it.
I don't think they got y Boyer was being brought in.
Like I think there's people out there that believe he's actually competing for a starting spot this year.
Now, I would be shocked.
Now there's no way.
Right. And last spell check really is trying to tank.
Yeah, and then we can start Brian Hoyer.
I don't even think that I'd rather if we're gonna tank start Cody Kessler.
It's too much of a chance of winning if we have him out there.
Yeah, we couldn't mess it up and get that the sixth pick.
Yeah, exactly. Right.
And I think, like, next year, beyond Trevor, Laurence is not that strong of, Ah, quarterback class.
You what it means, um, no, I think Hoyer's there because, I mean, if you go back to Super Bowl 53 he was, you know, he watched the hard knocks thing and and figured out their audibles because of hard knocks.
And you're a mimic golf all week, You know, they say is one of the best scout team quarterbacks in the NFL, right? Yeah.
So I mean, that's why he's there, and he's gonna mentor.
I mean, he thinks I think he thinks he's got a chance toe to start, because I think that the Patriots played it to him.
Oh, oh, yeah, but no, he's there to mentor.
The mentor, a young kid.
And you know what? Even if he does start, let's just say that happens, right? He's there to start again so the kid can watch somebody who knows the system, you know, and have a conversation.
If they don't draft a quarterback this year and Brian Hoyer's the starting quarterback, it's because they believe in Jared's did him.
That's why my piece, that they want to give him one more year, sit behind Brian.
You mean watch him play? He's not Tom Brady's not as good, but he understands the game like Tom Brady.
You mean right? Right? And it wouldn't surprise me if lawyer was more open to mentoring to Tom Brady got very crusty old mannish near the end there and didn't want to mentor the young quarterbacks.
All right, so if he does start, we'll say we heard it here first.
And you and I are the geniuses of fascination, right? Yeah. There we go.
Ladies and gentleman SportsCastr.
I am here with Connor from Connor Commentary.
Ah, great podcast.
Great Twitter follower.
You can follow him at corner commentary.
You can find him on YouTube, also called color commentary.
Yes. Yep, also called Khar.
Go check on my Twitter after this.
If you don't follow me, you should be.
It's at DP An underscore Ray again.
That's at the piano score, Ray.
I'll tweet out all the links to I'll tweet out his Twitter handle.
Tweet tweet out his YouTube page corner before I go on.
I got a couple more questions for you.
But why don't you just what do you got going on with your podcast in your show going on? And, um, you know what? When people find you, what can they expect out of your show? Honestly, I do something different every week.
So we do literally anything.
Its current events, I bring it on guests.
I've had comedians, authors, some reality TV people, people from the area.
Um I just try and make people laugh.
Man, it's the same thing on Twitter.
I try and make it funny and like conversational.
I just did one tonight.
It was me with a guy who's from AII I was actually the producer of the show now, so we talked about everything Corona virus.
The purge If that would have happened.
Also all sorts of stuff, man, it was It was Bonnie.
Do you do alive? Or is that all pre recorded? It's all alive.
Yeah, So there's no messing up.
How do you like being life? I thought it was gonna be really difficult when I first started it.
I was under the presumption that they would edit it out there.
But now I'm used to and I actually like it.
Even if I do mess up, I just I'm like, Yeah, that's that up, Lucas.
I'm exactly the same way.
I mean, I make fun of myself now when I mess it up, right, it's that's like right.
I started live with sportscast there in July, and I was so scared for my first week of shows, like all right, because I've always been Not only have I done recorded, I was a scripted youtuber you what? I mean, so I went from reading office scripts toe having to come out and actually give the thoughts off the top of my head.
And I was so scared to do that.
And you know, when you're first starting out.
I was relying on when I go live on YouTube.
It was easy because I'd have 500 people in the in the and they'd all be chatting, asking questions that kept me going.
Yeah, we'll start on, SportsCastr.
My first view was like, 20.
Not a single question gets asked.
Yeah, I'm supposed to 1/2 hour show.
I finished all my content in 12 minutes, Right.
Started freaking time to panic. Yeah.
And now all of a sudden, I look down, I'm supposed to 1/2 hour show.
I don't I think I've been like like what we were at 41 minutes, like now.
Like now it's just simple.
Now it's Sometimes I look at them like all guys, we're at 55 minutes.
I gotta wrap this up.
I think it's better when you do it live.
Doakes. It's more authentic.
I love like guys.
I'm telling you gotta check it out.
Because it is It is different.
It's always something.
Uh, you had a mixed martial arts guy on there once, right? Yeah.
See, I remember.
I think the 1st 1 was like a motivational author.
Something like that. It was about something.
Yeah, always something different.
And if you're just looking for a break from the regular Corona crap and in a break of me just running my mouth about the Patriots, check O'Connor. Commentary.
It's a It's a great, great watch.
And make sure you follow him on Twitter as well, and I appreciate it dead.
Maybe he's here with us tonight, So I got a couple more questions for for you, Connor.
And then I write, Turn it over to the SportsCastr audience to, ah, ask their questions if you're cool with that.
All right, man. Perfect.
Okay, so here's one.
I saw this on Twitter today and I'll give you my boy.
I wanna give you mine 1st 4 players or it doesn't have a place for people.
Who's your Patriots? Mount Rushmore? Tom Brady.
Wait, is it? Players only know it's anybody.
Oh, Tom Brady, Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick right out the gate for me.
The fourth man. Wow.
Oh, that's tough.
There's been so many people who are worthy.
I'm gonna say Adam Vinatieri.
Oh, that's a shocking 18 Nothing.
I didn't see that one to me.
That's a good one.
But it's true. You get the most points all time.
Probably the best kicker to ever kick in the game.
And he started the whole thing back in Eau one with those kicks and I Oakland in the snow game and then winning the Super Bowl twice with the kick.
I mean, you know, we got it.
We caught a break with the talk rule, and then he hit probably.
I mean, John Madden called it the best cake ever saw.
Ray and ah, we'll hit two of them right now.
I can't get one to tie it.
Wanna win it right? I wonder when I'm the one that I was like 45 yards and a absolute blizzard, it looked like it was gonna drop 20 yard short.
That just kind of kept fluttering and went through it literally made it by like, a foot.
Jeez, that's a good one.
You know what no one's had been? I saw a lot of John Hannah's today.
Yeah, for a lot of the younger people, said Gronkowski, I was going to say Gronkowski must have been in that.
Yeah, I saw a couple say, Jules I can always tell people's ages by who that fourth person is.
Right? Right? So I was the same thing as you. I was.
Kraft is number one Brady ever to Caltech. Three.
No, and no craft is number one.
Because without craft, there's none of this exists and then brag about checking flip flop in my eyes.
My fourth was actually Drew Bledsoe.
Alright, because Drew Bledsoe took the Patriots out of the Dark ages, you know, right? I say he started it.
Tom finished it.
You know, Mom brought it to the next level.
But I mean, after the 86 Bears lost, which I wasn't I that's here.
I was born, so I don't remember it at all.
My parents were actually at the game. Really? Really.
Yeah, they shouldn't.
The Patriots shouldn't even have been there.
You want me to look at that? They weren't a great team.
They kind of snuck into the playoffs.
You what? I mean, pulled off a couple of huge playoff victories, and then they go get stomped to the bears.
All right, Right.
So it's like And then there was the dark ages again, and then I mean, if you ever want a good laugh, just go read the career. Steve Grogan.
Just like how many times he was the starter, that he wasn't the starter than he was a starter again.
And he wasn't the starter for like 14 years.
Just how he just got flip flopping back and forth, right? Yeah.
They were always trying to replace Grogan, but they could never find anybody.
Didn't deal with steak.
But then Bledsoe came along, and that was the first bout of stability, right? To meet him.
They go to the Super Bowl, lose to Brett Farve.
But they should have been at that Super Bowl.
That's the whole thing.
You what? I mean, like, they deserve to be there.
Ah, they play around and then, you know, uh, Bell check comes in, and then they have the passing of the torch against the jets, right? Or the passing of the kidneys, whatever you wanna call it, right? And and Brady takes over.
But I'm like, without Bledsoe, I don't know how good that team just I mean, that was a great defense.
I was Willie McGinest. Teddy Bruschi.
Richard Seymour, You at? Ah, that was Lawyer Malloy was still on that team, right? Ty? Law, Law.
But, I mean, do they have the confidence? If if you know, uh, Trent Dilfer's to quarterback? You know, I don't think so.
You okay, lets those sort of that was that stabilizer piece.
That's why I always put him up there, too.
He said he kind of He didn't start the dynasty, but he took us out of the Dark Ages, brought us to this point.
And then Brady brought us the rest of the way, right? It's always why God bless.
That's why I bless all my thing.
That makes sense.
Yeah, that And then he took the hit for Mo Lewis. Man.
Then Mo Lewis started the Patriots E eight saying it like that, but he did.
He crushed him, and you know, it always kind of makes me laugh, because Drew Bledsoe says, I shouldn't make me laugh, But it does.
But Drew Bledsoe lost his starting job that Tom Brady, and then he finished his career, losing his starting job to Tony Romo goes the Buffalo, can't get them to the playoffs and couldn't beat the Patriots either.
They can never be the pills.
And on this Sunday, I have ah, guy from hashtag Sports Name's Mary.
He's a Bills fan and him and I did something on a Jets fan channel not too long ago.
So him and I, we got a couple of arguments that we got muted about.
So we want to come finish them off on my show where there is no mute button. Nice.
I'm keeping the power.
Those, like, just kick him off in case it gets to be Oh, no, no.
We're going to go on where him and I are gonna battle it out.
But, you know, he's a big blood.
So fan, too, right? And, you know, as a Bills fan.
And and that was the one thing we agreed on was Drew plight.
So, you know, I I I think Drew Bledsoe's career and what he did for the Patriots is very underrated.
It wasn't like he was bad.
I mean, he brought us to a Super Bowl.
I know they lost, but it's where we're at its very hard.
Just to get there, we take it for granted bad.
We really? Do we really do my last question for you That I'm gonna turn it over the SportsCastr audience? All right.
What are you expecting under this year's draft from biologically were What do you want to see? I guess not expecting because we never know with ballot check.
But goes on to say that Yeah, I never know what Bellatrix gonna do.
What I want is a tight end duo again.
They've always had a We've had a tight and duel for as long as I can remember We had Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez at one point.
I mean, even at that, we had Rob Gronkowski Motel A Spend it if you want to go even further back before that.
Ben Watson and Daniel Graham originally before they're even.
Even before that they had Christian for you and somebody else.
But you need the the tight.
I would like to see him drop two tight ends and get back to how they used to play.
You know, I agree, man.
It was It was a weird year this year watching Well, first of all, old Ben Watson.
Um and I let him on.
I'll tell you the truth, I This is where my optimism got the best of me because I was I don't know why my head, I thought we had 2004 Watson coming in.
Yeah, I I really thought we were.
And then, you know, he looked like 2019 watts and four guys 38 years old.
He's, like, just they wanted to help.
You got Tom Brady, Who's not, You know, you know, being affected by time.
And then you just saw a guy that father time kicked his ass, all right? And that was bam.
It was like I couldn't even give mad at him because he's Ben Watson, right? Exactly.
I couldn't even get mad at the guy.
He mean he came out of retirement to try and help us because we had nobody at the position. Exactly.
And he was only going to re sign with the Patriots like that.
And then? But then you know Matt Lacoste.
Allah cost is gonna be a really good third stringer for the Patriots.
You know, Toby third, right? And Ryan is Oh, I know some people.
I'm not a big ISO fan.
My Joel my researcher guy was talking about.
He's a big ISO fan.
Wants to get a chance.
But I think though I said no matter which way they go, that's our third tight end, right? Yeah.
I mean, whether you keep the costs or keep it so we need to starting tight ends on this team, right? And I thought that's still one thing that surprised me with this.
Almost everything that's happened, this free agency hasn't surprised me like, um, Brady.
I was upset, but I always knew there was a chance. All right.
I told everybody in December.
Kyle Vanoy was not coming back.
We never could afford him, right? Right.
He was gonna get paid by somebody you knew that was coming. Yep.
I knew Jamie Collins was a 50 50.
If somebody wants, you know, McCord e.
I had a good feeling he was coming back, and he's Slater was gonna come back.
Ted Carris was the only one who surprised me.
I thought they could have secured him.
Ah, but he went with the dolphins and Landon Landon Roberts to I thought they were going to try to secure land and Robert, So that was sort of what I thought, but I really thought about Jack was gonna bring the tight end like a Tyler Eifert.
You know, our or Ed and Eric a brand one of those guys.
Which tells us either he loves somebody in the draft or he's gonna turn around.
Ago, I could win without Tom Brady and without a tight end.
I don't need drunk.
I don't need Brady. Just watch me.
I I want to see somebody at tight.
And it was painful to watch.
Costs go out there last year.
No, no, I I agree with you.
We need need somebody.
All right, Corner, I'm gonna turn this over to Ah, the SportsCastr.
Now, if you're good with that and I think they got any questions, I'm gonna warn you Sometimes they're full of questions.
And other days we have a lot of radio silence.
So we're either why they're gonna answer some questions or I'm going to say goodbye.
So, SportsCastr, now is your time to ask the questions.
Joe, you're always good for a question.
Keep us alive here.
I don't want I don't want I have to let calling to go because I'm enjoying this too much.
I gotta have you back on the show if you're cool with.
Yeah, I absolutely want you back because this has been a lot of fun for me.
I have me on, man.
I thought you were gonna say No, I'll be honest.
Really? No, definitely not.
I wasn't even expecting.
Back when I message to you and I was I was prompting, like, absolutely.
Oh, I appreciate that.
Okay, Apparently, there were questions asked.
So I'm gonna go through the top of the chat and look here.
They know they're supposed to wait, but they decided not to.
All right, here's a good comment about our Twitter thing.
Noses from Make Chicken Blog's.
He's an easy a D P and O G.
Nice knock from the YouTube days.
And when we're talking about 20 Twitter's a sandbox of topics.
One part of sports and others politics and the dark corner is porn.
Those porn bots have been on hyper fire the last couple of days.
Like I can't even open my phone around my kids anymore because Every time I click on Twitter, it's just and I don't even know.
And I'm looking at the guys like Who's retweeting? Right? They know you're stuck at home, though.
God, there they are.
They are doing their job this week for anybody who's looking for it.
I'll tell you that much.
Right? Ah, did Brady play on the Patriots and plan the exit or do you think this was on Bill Belichick? This comes out and that is a great question.
What do you think? I really don't know what happens.
I think it may be mutually parted ways.
I don't I think it was mutual.
I think they both hate each other.
To be honest with you, I agree.
I think they do.
I think craft loves Brady, but I think Tom and Bill do not get along.
I read a really good article a couple weeks ago.
It was it was before they're this split actually happened.
But they were talking about how, like Brady and Belichick, we're like a couple staying together for the kids and you know, the Lombardi Trophy for the kids, right, right and Then when they got knocked out in the wild card, it was like the kids went off to college. Yeah.
I mean, the two of them were looking each other going.
We don't need to be here anymore, right? I do.
I think I mean, balance check Didn't give an offer since August.
The offering, like 15 mil.
They turned around and told Brady, Tell us what you want.
He didn't say anything.
I mean, I don't think there was.
I don't actually now, like in the rat, Respected, like being able to see the whole picture and how it all resulted.
I don't think there's ever a chance of Brady coming back.
Now, now, reflecting upon it.
Yeah, Everything is saying they could have wrapped this up so long ago.
And then there was this radio silence between the two of them.
For so long of like, nothing was going on.
I mean, if you wanted to stay and Bill wanted to keep him, they could have done this before.
Last season was even over 100%.
Here's Ah, here's so here's the stock guy.
Joe, the research.
CBS Sports thought that stadium could have been the sixth player off the board in 2018.
So that they thought a lot about this kid, man.
Well, GI Bill always finds these weird like, No, we're like random people who was like, Oh, the year before, this guy was gonna go in the top, like, 10.
And we scoop him up in the fourth round.
And so this team could be a what? I don't think they're gonna be like Tom Brady level, but this team could be a lot better than people think.
Right? We still got the best secondary in the NFL.
You indefinitely as as long as we keep step on Gilmore.
As long as we keep stuff on Gilmore and Jacey.
Jackson's a solid number two. Yes.
You know what I mean.
I like him a lot. And McCord brings that leadership.
I mean, I think we got a good secondary.
Are linebacking corps we can address.
We still got high tower we still got from Bentley.
We can address the rest of it in the draft.
The defensive line got better, and it's all gonna come down to Campbell.
Get some at least one solid tight end and a good receiver out of the draft.
Right? But I think they need to really address that offensive line and get that run game going.
Yeah, that's gonna be a big thing, too is we'll see.
It's whenever they have whole Sony.
Michelle, that's fine.
But he doesn't make a lot of holes of cell if I've noticed.
He can't be the tackle.
I've realized that he can shed.
B. He's got finesse and needs help but hold.
But he has a problem shutting right.
Like when he was following behind Gronkowski and James Devlin two years ago. You look great.
And now they brought in another full back. So now they have three.
Make sure that's all right.
I'll be a good battle in training camp.
Oh, so this is a great one.
Uh, not a question.
Other comments? Yeah.
This is again from Joe.
I think to pre Lee thinks he's from Rochester.
Okay? Boston is so spoiled.
Even had the W w e champion, Seena.
For the longest time.
That Israel, That is great.
I love from the edge on see this from here? He's from Newbury, right? Yeah.
Yeah, that that is.
Needed wrestling, so Well, we don't have a now, uh, you need you need it. The fake sport.
You didn't have enough riel championships.
You needed the fakes.
Sorry to the rest of the nation.
Alright, this comes from a chicken blog's again. Another O G.
Um, do you think that the pats pick up Sony's fifth year option? Oh, man.
And we're gonna have to see you.
I'm gonna I'm gonna have to say it depends on what they do it.
Damian Harris? Yeah.
David here is gonna be the big one.
And I think that I think either they're going to I think they're gonna have Sony Michelle's contract figured out this year or they're not gonna pick it up.
It's the This is really a big make or break year from cause that's what.
It's gonna be 1/3 year 38.
So they might weasels fourth year for an extension, But they'll pretty much have it figured out before he goes into his fourth year.
Whether or not they're there, I don't even think they get to the fifth year option.
Part right? And the last.
They don't have a better option.
They keep him on just to keep the low salary.
Cause the differences between the first year in the second year with drastic.
But that could be totally to blame on the blocking.
Well, yeah, I see that is an offensive line in a fullback issue, right? But we also saw, though, that if he doesn't have the whole he's not.
He's not like Kira Blunt.
That's just gonna run somebody over, right? Exactly.
It's a big difference watching between watching those two. Yeah.
No, no, it was It's crazy, all right.
Got a couple more questions here before we wrap it up, guys.
Ah, of assets in the past.
But he's because he knows my answer.
So we'll put it to Connor.
Could you stay in Fort Holt? Um, the two.
Ah, I don't know.
The lineman never hurt last year that everybody seems to be in love with you.
Do you think that that they could be an impact on the team this year? Who was it who you used and Fort Holt.
I mean, yeah, we're gonna need all the help we can get on the line, so I think that will be a big That will be a big thing.
No, you just like the rest of them.
I think that everybody likes these guys for no reason.
I think they're gonna be duds.
I don't know, Dio.
This is, like, the only time I get pessimistic.
It's with these two guys.
I think that there is so overrated in the expectations of people have on them.
Our people are gonna be drastically disappointed with how poorly they play.
I'm gonna tell you, I hope not, because I think we're gonna need him at this point.
So I try to do the put Ah, positivity here.
All right, All right.
You stay positive.
This comes from summer's names also, Chris, he's not and I don't think he's an old G, but he's been around for a long time.
He's a part of the inner circle.
All right, um so obviously love is who I like that Jordan love kid.
Right? But there's a lot of talking with the Patriots taken.
Jalen hurts late in the draft.
All right? What do you think about? Jalen Hurts to the Patriots? I don't know, man.
I mean, it wouldn't be bad because then we could have a competition between him and stayed.
Um, but I want to see what happens with stadium.
We drafted the guy last year for a reason.
And like you're saying, he could have been drafted much higher the year before, had in various things fall into place.
I kind of want to see them go with him and Sawyer and see what happens.
Like, if this is the guy, I'm ready for it to be the guy I like that I like that positive because I'm the same way, like, is much If they don't take Jordan love this year, then I don't want anybody else.
I want them to go sit on.
That's exactly what my thought processes.
Um, and actually, I'd be fine with it, no matter what.
I just think they're gonna take Jordan, love.
That's just my thought.
Yeah, I guess, but I would love I've said it all along.
I mean, this is the year you might as well see what the kid has, right? Exactly.
Now, whenever Yeah, he's got it or he doesn't write.
