Free agency is only a few days old in the NFL, but already a few clear winners have emerged.
Let's take a look at which teams have made themselves better, either with big budget, high profile moves or some more under the radar transactions.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the obvious big winner so far in free agency because they got the biggest prize Temple on the Tom Brady sweepstakes.
Now they get to pair him with a pair of elite receivers in like Evans and Chris Godwin.
It isn't just that Brady is going to be a market improvement from Jameis Winston under center.
It's also that players around the league suddenly want to play on Florida's Gulf Coast.
What was once an NFL backwater now looks like it's going to be one of its glamour destinations.
Tampa is going to get a lot of hype and attention, but there's no arguing that their status right now is as free agency's biggest winner.
Brady had better be good, by the way, because the Saints brought back Drew Brees on a below market deal on another team in the NFC South has already gotten better.
That would be the Carolina Panthers.
Cam Newton's time with the franchise is going to end either via trade or Newton being cut.
But Teddy Bridgewater coming in gives the team stability at quarterback.
And what Bridgwater isn't the athlete that Newton was in his prime.
He's an above average player who could become even better in Carolina with full control of the starting job.
The last big winner early on in free agency is the Arizona Cardinals.
Arizona's biggest move wasn't assigning, but rather a trade when they fleeced Bill O'Brien in Houston and acquired DeAndre Hopkins.
Not only did the Cardinals get Hopkins, but they also unloaded David Johnson in the process, which gave them more flexibility to add to their roster down the road.
The NFC West still looks like San Francisco's division to lose, but the Cardinals gave them to Stern tests in 2019.
If Cuyler Murray makes big jump in Year two, Arizona could be a major surprise.
So there you have it.
