Nick's family was popping.
Is your boy what's going on with your man? Excuse me as I clear my throat.
Well, the Knicks, we did what we thought they were gonna do.
They lost after having an 18 point lead.
I guess it was about 18 point lead or whatever. It waas.
They got down 13.
They got up 18 20 whatever it was.
And then, obviously, they could not sustain the good doings.
And they lose this game to the Washington Wizards.
As most expected they would do.
The New York Knicks are.
You know, the Washington Wizards are a little bit more desperate than the New York Knicks at this moment, ladies and gentlemen.
So it only makes sense that the Knicks would lose this one and not be able to pull this one out for the Washington Wizards, although you know they trying to put up a little something in any way.
Ladies and gentlemen, the New York Knicks lost to the Washington Wizards in the game that we expected them to lose.
But hey, let's look at the bright side.
Frank Miller, Akina.
I like the bright side bay.
Let's get down to get down and talk about this game.
Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate you guys being here with me.
I hope you had a great day.
And, you know, we're gonna try to make this an even better nights as we break down the Knicks and the Wizards from Washington D C.
No Corona virus could stop Frank Miller Akina tonight, ladies and gentlemen, let's get waiting.
We'll get right into it.
Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at the matchups tonight.
And if I get a chance to break down some of the game through video of something like that, then I will.
I don't trust what's going on with the MEA, though.
You know, they you know, they're cracking down on us showing a little bit of video, even though it was considered fair use.
But anyway, the Knicks had the biggest lead was 18 points Tonight.
The Knicks had an 18 point lead over the Washington Wizards, and they blew it.
Ladies and gentlemen, why? Well, because the Knicks do Nick things.
They do, Nick things.
Washington, which had a four point lead listening.
I didn't get to see the entire game, but I got to see what was happening and what went on.
Its one wages went up.
Nix went up in the wishes went back up.
Nick's trying to make a run at the end, but it was just a little bit too late.
The Knicks got outrebounded about one tonight, only 36 rebounds for the Knicks tonight.
And that's usually that's not a usual rebounding number for the New York Knicks.
Usually the Knicks of somewhere between 40 and 50 rebounds per game.
Tonight, they only grab 36 rebounds.
Now they did shoot the ball well.
That could be part of the reason they shot the ball well defensively.
Well, they couldn't get the stops that they needed.
They let these guys going to run the Knicks.
Only 36 rebounds tonight, 30 assists for the New York Knicks.
It's nice number, but listen, you're not playing a very good defensive team in the Washington Wizards, Aye, but 30 assists for the New York next 10 steals, three blocks.
They also had 18 turnovers that will contribute to another team coming back when it down 18.
The Witch has had 37 rebounds.
They had 23 assists in 98 steals, four blocks and 16 turnovers.
9% from the field.
9% from the field.
1% from the three point line and 74.
2% from the free throw line.
The Wizards tonight they shot for there were 35 for 74 from the field for 47.3%.
They only took 74 field goals on the entire night.
The difference in the game.
The Knicks allowed him to shoot 40% from the three point line.
They made 14 to 35 3 pointers.
The Knicks lost this game, and obviously down the stretch of the game, they let the Washington Wizards go up about 13 15 points or something like that.
The Knicks lost the game by 71 22.
Tow 1 15 All right.
They were outscored from the three point line by six.
Not by six bite by 63 point baskets.
They were outscored put a three point line by 18.
The next outscored them from from two.
You know, the Knicks made 42 field goals.
The Wizards made forties 35 field goals.
The Knicks only made 83 points.
And then when you look at the free throw line, the Wizards, they scored 38 points from the free throw.
Line it with 38 or 45.
That's another story.
The game 38 of 45.
All right, look, they scored 18 more points to the next one. The three point line.
They scored 15 more points to the Knicks from the free throw line, and that'll do it to your lots That will definitely do it to your life.
We'll see if the next thing the next play again tomorrow night, right? They play in Atlanta tomorrow night.
We'll see if they can rebound.
But let's take a look at the box scores.
Let's take a look at the box scores because for the first time in his career, ladies and gentlemen, frightening Lucchino.
Now for the first time in his career, frightening listening. Miller.
I've been waiting on this for a while.
I've been waiting for a while for frankly, looking to score 20 points.
You finally scored 20 points tonight, burst the Washington Wizards.
You know, Let's take a look at the box scores, man.
Mo Harkless For the Knicks, he had four points, one assist.
Not really a good night for Julius Randle.
Hey, had 16 points.
That's 5 11 from the field, six for 600 feet on line, five rebounds and two assists.
Four turnovers for Julius Randle Tides.
Gibson had 10 points, three rebounds.
J Barrett shot 33% from the field.
It was 5 to 15 from the field.
He had 16 points, six rebounds, five turnovers.
He also had four steals.
R. J um, I'm sorry.
Listen, last night I talked about it for paying.
Went out on next weekly.
And if you don't, if you haven't seen next weekly, you know, make sure you get a chance to go check out next weekly.
But last night I was talking about her opinion as the play of the week for the Knicks last week, and I said, I said the game on That said So I said, and I watch over pay and come out and have, you know, a bomb game.
That's what he did tonight.
He had three points.
Four assists tonight.
Bobby Portis in front in L. A. Kennedy.
Those guys were the stories of the night, and when the Knicks came back and took a lead, it was those guys who really powered them through and help them come back.
Bobby Portis had 20 points.
It was not for 15 from the field.
He had six rebounds and five assists.
Frightening Latino? Yeah, 20 points.
He was six foot nine from the field, three for 503 point line.
He had 10 assists to go along with it.
Kevin Knox had no points.
Mitchell Robinson had 10 points and three rebounds.
Reggie Bullock had 10 points, two rebounds and three assists.
Wayne Allinson played 16 minutes.
He had six points.
Damien Dotson and Dennis Smith Jr did not play.
Okay, so there you have it.
That's the New York Knicks.
And then, of course, for the Washington Wizards.
They had to contend.
The New York Knicks had to contend with Bradley.
Bill O'Reilly Bill dropped off 40 Burger on the Knicks tonight.
Bradley Beal had 40 points, seven assists.
He also had five turnovers.
Valley Bill was 11 for 25 from the field.
Obviously, he led the Washington Wizards.
You guys should.
Basnet pizza bass, Napier, bads.
Napier had 21 points, six assists.
He also had four turnovers.
Tom is Bryant finally back in the lineup for the Washington Wizards.
He's going to make a difference for that team.
He had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Really hot. Tamara had 12 points.
Their own Robinson didn't do anything.
Blew hot summer.
He had 12 points, seven rebounds? No, it's, um, Moritz Wagner.
I always say, Wagner, it's Wagner.
Well, come ahead.
10 points, three rebounds.
Garrison Matthews, five points.
He had 11 points, three assists.
He had nine points.
Nobody else scored for the Washington Wizards.
So that's the story.
To gain my friends on.
How the Knicks built in 18 point, you know, went down 13 built an 18 point lead and gave the lead back and gave the game back to the Washington Wizards.
On a night when Frank Miller Akina was, for the most part, the man.
Ladies and gentlemen, he was the man for the New York Knicks tonight, him and by reporters, frankly, Latina and R.
J. Barrett played the most minutes tonight.
They both played 29 minutes.
Hey, you want to see the young guys? You want to see the young guys do it? You've got two young guys out there.
They play well together, man, while J bad Frank Miller Kino.
Let's get to some of the guys that's in the chat, man.
I didn't get a chance to get these guys in yet, but I'm going to get a man before I do that.
Let's just say peace to you guys.
Thank you guys for stopping through.
It's gonna be a short show.
It was only gonna be about an hour because I got a ton of work.
I got to get done for a meeting that I have tomorrow.
A presentation I gotta get tomorrow.
So I gotta finished data? No, but let me get to whoever he is.
My man light is in the check.
See what light thinks about tonight's game, You know? And then we'll talk about whatever we talk about.
Light was going on with you, man.
Children, man, How you Good? I'm good.
Did you watch the game tonight? Yeah.
I mean, you leave it to the next man, right? Get down.
14 13 40 points.
Go up, then come back, Go up 18 and then blow it right the next day.
What the Knicks do? Uh, um, pieces it again.
You know, let's talk about just different Pete pieces at a game.
Let's talk about Ah, frankly, Latina.
I'm proud of Frank tonight, Frank.
Frank made me proud tonight.
That's That's the front we've been wanting to see since forever.
That's the frank we thought we were getting when we drafted him as high as we did.
So you know that that was that was a lot of fun for me to watch.
I mean, I didn't get to see the entire game.
I'm gonna go back, and I'm gonna watch it.
Um, but I'm you know, I'm looking forward to, you know, just watching, you know, watching what what he's doing.
Mike Miller said, And in, uh, in in a interview, I guess.
Ah, you know, practice interview after practice or whatever that you know, he's not worried about frankly, Latina or Kevin knocks that he believes both of their offense is going to come.
You know me and frankly, Lucchini, you've seen him the past few games since he's come back from that groin injury, Just beam or aggressive, you know, be more aggressive, you know, shooting the balm or Ah, just playing with more confidence, whether or not he's making those shots, this play well, I mean, he's had more confidence the entire year than we've seen in the past.
Anyway, That's true.
I mean, he just he just seemed more aggressive.
It's all about just being aggressive.
He looked to finish in places where he typically pulls up, and I think he finding that teams are already playing off of him.
So these little silky moves, he comes in there with the finger rolls, and he looked like he was supposed to be playing with Whoa the way he moves around the court and gets into these these positions.
But typically when he got there, he was looking to dish tonight.
It seemed like he made it a decided effort to take it as far as he could get it, and if they give it to him just take the opportunity.
He scored those points very efficiently.
I think he was six foot nine.
Something like that.
Yeah, he was six foot nine tonight.
Yeah, yeah, that That's extremely efficient.
To give you 20 point, he had a double double.
Tonight you have to write.
Be optimistic as a Knicks fan when you see that out of him because it's a glimpse of what we wanted.
We know that it's in there and he was doing it against stiff competition.
Washington's backcourt is very good that there's some quick, shifty, crafty little guys over there.
And then you got Bradley boot.
So they were up against it tonight.
And Frank really showed out.
And, you know, you gotta see promising that and hope that the organization has taken note of that because that's a guy that we need to be looking to mold and grow and cultivate.
Um, yeah, yeah, we're going to see in it.
Yeah, I mean, and you know the thing.
I was talking about it last night.
I think on when I did the next weekly that you know, the big thing back a few years ago, in its first season, everyone was like he needs to go to the Jie Li to the genetic.
I didn't think you needed to go to the G G got time simply because he could defend his position.
I I feel like a defend your position in the n b A.
You know, the offensive side of come as long as you're not, you know, people just taking the ball from you every single time that I got the ball, you know? I mean, you know, the other things that come, but he could defend his position, you know, we kept it knocks, you know, he has a hard time defending his position.
So he needs that development.
He needs to grow a little bit.
That's why I'm a favor of him going to the D League, which is probably not gonna happen this season.
But it was so close to the end.
Um, what? You know my things.
I don't know the Geely Goto MBA.
I feel like it should all be the same for these guys. At this point.
Like your professional basketball player, Your your job now is to grow your craft so there's there's really no reason for you know, whether whether it's It just feels like to me, Knox is there.
But something's missing in a in a development.
And that's within him whether he's in the N b a what a ge li he he's gonna have to find that, you know? Yeah.
Um, you know, there's always been questions about, you know, Does he have the fire, right? And you know, his motor.
That's his motor.
Right? Um, s So I guess you can question does.
And I'm not trying to base anything off of this being itself.
Your sop****re year, right? You know, different players go to different steps, steps and stages of development.
He could come back next year and look like a totally different player.
Who knows? Right.
But do you think that when it comes to him training, he likes to fire? Like I have my first day? You practice tonight off of the season, and it was a rough practice for the girls.
I do it, you know, I do it every year I started off.
The first month is, like, really crazy is really helpful in, you know, I would not want to go through the practice that I put in tow.
E uh injury, you know? I mean, I killed him.
I said last night that I was trying to make a couple girls throw up.
I didn't succeed it and thought they came close.
A couple of had to sit out because they would nauseous, but they didn't throw up.
But I soon trying to hurt nobody.
You goes one player there that you know she's not gonna be a basketball player because every other player they will fight.
They fought through it.
I mean, if if you feeling nauseous, there's one thing, right? And basically, you know, one of the girls, she just she didn't eat before practice.
So, you know, she does this all the time.
It's like she comes to practice.
And I'm like, Did you eat? No.
Why? I didn't know what to eat.
Like what you mean, and I give them.
I give them menus off what to eat before that, the practice.
But anyway, that's neither here nor there.
We can get into that, but well, you got the diet laid out to man.
Yeah, man is this thing.
It's called, um, it's called on athletes plate.
And it tells you if you did a light workout.
This what you eat a medium work out.
This is what you eat.
Ah, hard work out.
This is what you eat.
You know what you eat before practice after practice before games is the whole.
The whole thing is good. It's really good.
They are taken into, like Howard a calculating how many calories each person would need.
So so, you know, on the plate.
I mean, obviously you have to like the portions.
You know, each person has to look at their way in and those things to know portions, but they know the type of foods.
You know, that's going to give him the proper protein so the mussels could heal.
You know, the proper energy before games, Especially when we go on a tournament.
You know, the fools that's gonna help them to perform, you know, optimally.
You know, um, you know, after at their highest S o.
You know, I'd give a mom, you know, I gave him all those things in a binder, you know, so that so that they're ready to go.
But for whatever reason, she never eats.
You know, but But it's one.
It was one girl.
Everybody else, you know, they fight through the drills, they'll be hurting.
It was one girl there, you know, he's kind of young.
First time in the practice that she was She was about to start crying, but she fought through it anyway.
But there's one girl she just couldn't do it, you know, saying it.
And she just didn't have that fired.
I'm saying to myself, she's not gonna make it as a basketball player because you cannot have skill.
They need to develop.
But you gotta have the desire to get better.
The desire, you know, And I don't know.
It's all for me to say whether or not he has that desire.
He may have that desire and, you know, we just don't see it because we're not in practice and nothing like that.
What do you think? Do you think he has that desire? Not even just the motor, but the desire to get better.
I think, um, watching him played, you see a guy who's trying I don't I don't feel like desires measured.
An effort and my C Knox give good effort.
If you know people like glad people like the Raglan Knox but I see him trying.
The problem I have with Knox is his awareness is so low, and that's where does with all his problems, stem from.
If you watch knocks, he comes down the court just staring ahead of him.
It's like he's looking at where he's trying to get to with no spatial awareness of where the ball is coming from.
Where is that? Do I have an advantage? Maybe if I speed up right here, I can get to a clean lane.
He's not doing any of that.
It's almost like this system has got him to trained.
He's not solving problems on the fly.
He's following the recipe so strongly he's unaware of other things.
Just trying to hit the dance steps is what it looks like.
Um, if you watch and go down the court, he'll have a clean land.
If he would just cut in on the on the transition cut and get that ball.
But he's not looking, he's staring down at the ground at the ground.
He's not aggressively moving up the court and those of the things he's missing and it goes on both ends of the court.
But I don't think it's a matter of effort.
I think it's a matter of awareness and the ability to think on the fly.
He always seems kind of lost for lack of a better way to put it.
Yeah, yeah, that he definitely does, right? He's, You know, sometimes, you know, they're nights when he he looks like he's fully engaged in understanding sees.
And I guess that I guess young players go through that right.
You have some nights when they look like bam.
Everything's hitting, everything is clicking.
And another night's win.
It's just not, you know, I mean, and you know, he he has a few nights.
What looks like he's on it defensively, playing hard.
I mean, I think he always tried to play hard, like you said, but he's onto defensively.
Its feet of moving well contested shots.
Well, like the other night. He had two blocks.
Uh, you know, because you know, he was moving.
Well, it's still lost his man a couple times back door, but he was moving.
Well, um, you know, maybe that's just his.
Maybe that's just his path.
The path that he's gonna have to take.
I know reading an article his father said This year, you know the thing for Kevin knocks Waas two focus on his defense, right they didn't worry about the offensive was to focus on his defense, all right? No.
So, you know, you know, maybe maybe that's maybe that's something that somewhere in there I don't I don't know.
It's showing up, though, because I think he's like, I think I heard him say he's like second and third on the team in total blocks.
Oh, yeah, say what you want, he that's what, and that's what I mean.
I feel like season one was all about his offense.
He was trying to be shooting, you know, That's why his percentages was so low he was actually getting.
He was being used.
He had a high usage percentage when he was on the court.
Kind of like what's happening? We're arctic.
The ball touches R J that you could tell them making an effort to try to get sergeant going at times.
Um, but, you know, that's that's another subject when it comes and knocks he had at the first year.
Now, this year, it makes sense that the offense will trail off, especially if he's my focusing on training on defense, although it seems contradictory.
Excuse me, because at the beginning of the season, Knox was talking about his three pointer and how much he was trying to focus on becoming an outside shooter.
It so I don't know which way they were doing.
Maybe they touched on both in the last thing they were working on with threes.
And that's why that was, you know, whatever.
But he had this in you.
I don't even remember where I'm at. Now.
This guy, he so many things with Knox.
He mister, You still there? Yeah.
Um I don't see how Knox doesn't have how he's not further along, but it seems like it comes right back down to getting the right people to train him and to show him which which way to go with his game.
He needs a decided approach, and the Knicks have been lacking that.
And I think that's part of why his growth is so stunning.
That is a good kid who would listen to you to a fault.
You know, I'm saying, like he's gonna run through the brick wall even after he learns he can't get through it.
So you got Ah, you gotta give that the right direction.
And I thought the Knicks haven't done that.
Yeah, that And that's one thing you said, right? He's a good kid that, like he said, we'll run through a brick walk through here will fill er, you know, he'll do what you want and listen to what you said to a fault.
You know, man, in Yep, I agreed to 100% had a kid like that man that I coached And hey, listen to me so much.
And it was one time he just shouldn't have listened to me, Really.
I mean, he's a good kid.
He was. He was the best player on our team.
Um, and we also had Ah, 668 guy on the team that that we were playing, that we weren't a tournament.
And I think we were down one right? And I always played off those two guys.
So I told him I said, Listen, just want to do I want you to get it, Thio.
I don't want to say his name is still kind of someone I want you to get it to him in the post.
Right? And then I want you to slip past a slip past your player, Uh, and then you know his into the guy that bone opposed his job was to find them right.
And so he did it.
He cut past this player.
He was open, but the guy didn't pass it to him.
He went up for the shot and he missed the lay up.
He had to lay up Mr Lay up.
But the guy, they had the ball, he was our guy.
And we should have just cleared it out.
Let him go one on one because he could beat his man.
Just about any time, you know, saying, But, you know, he was like, you know, we talked about the words I was like, You know what? I should have just let you go.
He was like a You know, you called it.
I was gonna listen to what you said.
But that was one time when he probably said it just got the ball, said, Hey, clear out. I'm going for it.
But inflows And I mean, you know, improvisation doesn't come into you gain confidence and yeah, what you're doing and what's happening around you.
And I feel like he doesn't have that caused his placement.
And that's what I say.
Really, We really need to nail down who were keeping what we're doing and our plan moving forward.
We have never touched on that.
And that's why these guys ah, faltering because they've never been given a position.
Yep, yep. No roles. They have no rules.
Yeah, Nate, I'm gonna, um you two, man, since there's only, uh, it's just us three here, so we can all kind of talk together, um, back to frighten a Latina.
Do you think Frank right now is ready to break up? I hope so, man.
Coming 21 years old.
You know, Frank is like a tease, man.
He there's times where he looks like he's breaking out.
And then there's times we kind of fades away.
Ah, I hope so, man.
I mean, the kid plays hard means I really believe that this kid wants to be good.
It's just that I think it's in his head, you know, I think it's confidence is what is shaking a lot of times, and I mean to be fair man.
He's had, what, three coaches? You know, different systems.
A lot of people don't believe in him as it has only been three coaches.
It was his first coat.
Who was his first coach? Okay, maybe two to I think he's had more than three.
Who's his first coach? Wasn't hold a sec.
It was It wasn't that official, right? It was a second one sec, Fizdale and Miller that three coaches one sec.
Okay, Yeah, right.
And he's probably gonna be on his way to his fourth coach.
I mean, I mean, the guy, the guy who plays hard, man.
I mean, you know, he I rarely ever see him, you know, get to hide, get too low on the initial motion yesterday and got a technical.
So that was that was kind of good to see that was weak.
Yeah, still, but it's good to see Frank show that emotion, man.
I mean, like, black people say all Frank's too quiet or each passage, you know, he's got it in him.
I think he does.
It's just I think it's just gonna be the right coach, man.
The right coach to believe in him and the kind of bring out more of that confidence in himself, you know? I mean, I like Frank, man.
I'm route to the kid.
I mean, whether he stayed here with us or he goes somewhere else, I mean, he's a player, man.
He just got the right mentality.
He you know, he doesn't doesn't talk a lot.
You know? He just he just goes out of place, and he does this thing.
You ever think about the fact that we should be trying to build? And Frank is a great guy to have around to build with.
He's not someone that's gonna garner so much attention that another team's gonna come swept him from you.
But he's so skilled that he gives he gives you so much.
He's a perfect French guy.
He's a perfect bench guy.
And we got to keep going to start investing in those kind of guys.
You know, that working in that, that everybody loves you? No, I'm saying we need that guy that's on me.
Not be that you do a lot.
Um, I'm making a patient thing.
So So, looking at I mean, obviously tonight he was six foot nine from the field.
Steve 5.3 point line.
Can you see? Can you see Frank average in 15 points a game in the future sometime in the future? Being a 15 point per Game seven assists? Guy, I mean.
I mean, it's just his jump shot.
You just gotta be more confident with the jump shot.
Be more aggressive, anything, if anything.
The one thing I've seen from Frank this year that I haven't seen them path.
This is aggressiveness to get to the lane to make those layups.
I mean, you symbols layoffs.
He made man who was like, Wow! Oh, man, it was like, You know, Frank, I mean, hey, given the opportunities, but doesn't matter of comfort.
The problem is, Frank has never since he's gotten to the Knicks, been given the opportunity to get comfortable dear by his own doing.
Because of injury will be about coach decision.
He stays with his opportunities being given in this, a sporadic and erratic manner.
So but all I see is him getting comfortable because he's getting his minutes and solid chunks that he could do something where he can make mistakes and learn from and get come back right back to it.
So way we need again.
We need to complete it is one of those.
He's one of those players to that on the plus and minus category.
He's probably rarely, ever in the minus category because they were playing really good defense or ease, you know, assisting on the ball or is making points like he's probably rarely, ever in the minus category.
I mean, because he brings something to the table every time.
Yeah, you know, we'd love to see and put it all together, but hey, man.
And I mean, you know something you said one time if he could be Rondo or Marcus Smart dude, or I think the market smart.
You could be Marcus.
I'm cool with that.
No, man, you got it.
He got to be Frank. Never. Keenan, man.
Yeah, he's different dudes, But if he plays like market smart man, I'm cool with that, You know? I mean, if Frank can just get comfortable with being aggressive, he was the m v p of this scene that he came from in France.
This guy is was the go to guy.
Not that many years ago.
You know, a blooming it ain't mine.
It's a matter of getting given.
Who? How many draft picks that were drafted? It's Hi, it's frank on the team is bad as ours at the point guard.
Position is not given heavy minutes.
You draft a point guard that high in the draft and you don't gift him His heavy minutes Of all of our rookies, I feel like he's the only one who didn't get that that high dose of minutes that knocks received his first year that there it's getting with its oceans and all that in the minutes. Yeah, I agree.
I mean I mean, but that's one invention.
We see this coach and change has not changed how these players are being rotated and that we thought Mike Miller was gonna introduce Trigger back into the lineup and do some other things on What is it done so clearly, the coach in charge has no control over how these guys are getting that minutes.
Some to me to have the layoff of Frank didn't make any sense, but also to, I think the Death man.
I mean, the mixers have way too many point guards on this team, you know, one playing good.
It was not playing good.
And just too much.
Too much, too much uncer*****y at that position, you know? And not the right coaching either.
So it's a combination of a lot, eh? So so, of course, in the, um, in the chat, you know, you always got you.
You've got to naysayers 1 12 as you need.
How how was how was Frank Latina? Late bloomer at 21.
Um, basically say he's still young.
I mean, basically saying he's still young.
He's 21 years old, is still very young.
So, you know, it's not a late bloomer.
Probably about a drink, man.
I mean, I still think he's learning the American game, and it came to eat.
He came from Germany. Wrong man.
I mean, if anybody thought it was gonna be France, sick time player, friends from France, and I thought he was gonna be like, this big time school or me.
You didn't watch the video of him.
I watched the video of him, and I said, You know what? This guy could be a good passer, and it looks like a good defender I never thought in the world that he was gonna be able to be a score.
You look too slow and you look kind of, you know, Shot was saying, See, I never thought he was slow.
I always disagree with everybody With that, everybody looked because he didn't always put the Jets on.
But, you know, But if you when you watch games, there are times when he could turn on the Jets.
He just doesn't know it all.
It's a first right there.
Top of the bowl.
And you say, Oh, I didn't know he had that.
Now he doesn't have the exact He's not fasted in R J Barrett Weight vest, man.
That's little real.
He's in the O. R.
You remember that ankle weights You wear the ankle weights and strengthen your calves were I said two sandbags with the vote quo, right? Look like you playing in them Joe Hardin a fast either man.
You know, you don't have to be fast to be effective hurrying superfast.
We're gonna have to be fast.
It's just, you know, there were so many people back in the day that would always complain.
He's not fast. He's not.
But I think this guy let's talk about since we're talking about Let's talk about R J bear for minute.
Um, Okay, so he's been, you know, since Marcus Morris is gone.
You know what you know, he was He was out for a while.
He's had the ball in his hands a lot.
Right? Which is good.
You know, I'm not complain about I'm just saying He's, you know, um, how do you feel he's doing right now? We're having a ball in his hands as much as he does.
Well, I mean, I trust him with the ball more than just some of the other players tonight.
I'm not impressed.
Okay? I'll be over money.
Honestly, you know, I mean, their nights when I mean, there's gonna be upper down nights.
Of course, the more you put the ball in the stands will be opened down night tonight.
He was worth 33% from the field.
Yeah, you know, the Oh, yeah.
I'm not complaining about him.
I just I'm just looking for your assessment, You know, he said the ball his you know, his his Ah, the possessions that he's had the ball in his hands moved up significantly, you know? So I'm just, you know, have you once a chain of markets Morris away? I think fans want to see the ball in our jails hands more than Randall.
Because everybody knows that Randall's gonna do is gonna turn into a double team, suspension it all over, panted getting Thio, get close and have nowhere to throw the ball to.
I mean, I have the ball.
Margie Parentsand, man.
I mean, he plays well.
We told the ball in his hands, he's just gotta shoot better.
That's what the reality that's That's the only thing in this game that he really got to get.
Better I to shoot the ball better.
Well, I mean, he's going to wait more than that.
The work are, Yeah, he got a guy a lot way more than that to work on.
You need to work on moving this one.
That's the big one.
He needs to learn winds of those passes he needs to understand when it's it's time to take it, and when it's time to keep the ball moving.
It needs t o take a lot of bad shots.
He doesn't He doesn't really take back.
This is a bad shot.
You just have a bad shot.
Sometimes argue takes bad shots are they will take the ball and try to force it into a triple team.
Just let's cook a Julius Randle will e.
He doesn't say when he gets his opportunity, he'll run into a wall, too, and just take it when he could have passed it.
Well, where is it? It's a lot of games.
Well, they need at least one tries every game.
This is part of this part.
Is the nature of being showing that you got that? That thing, you know, you're not going back now.
From now on, I'm gonna go right in and are No, But this is not smart basketball.
No, you're the rookie.
Go where? Not what You get some Jeffrey, He's He's a lucky Hillman.
And you just, you know, you know that the one big thing about him is he's got to become a better shooter.
Well, I mean, that's all that's about.
But you know, the mental part of the game.
You know, he's gotta learn some things.
Like like like I was saying, you know, just understanding where to go with the you know when to take the ball over where the wind, the past.
Because I see him sometimes.
Try to throw some of those passes that you might know when you displaying with your boys.
Oh, if you're on a college level and he's gonna think he could make that pass, you know, I mean, you know, whip it down in one hand.
The times to Miss Robinson man way things guys talented, just didn't need to move to the smaller.
You still got that stupid like that.
That's what we need to be.
Yeah, that's my boy is he needs to be a small forward.
Yeah, that's what we need is a powerful He needs to be too small for Mitch.
Needs to be the center that needs to be.
Did the lineup Let me get Isaiah and Isaiah? I think we got him.
We got, like, crop on that shooting guards.
Which one you want, right? Just put one in, which doesn't matter.
Put your hearing starts here.
I say it was going on, man.
What's up, man? But no one has left the gym, man, on my way home.
Also could you know, I'm trying.
You ready for this cruise, man? You know this crew now, eh? Yes.
He's planning on engaging to his lady on that bull he's trying to get right before you know.
Now, now you got Hey, you guys.
Huh? Got to because I'm pretty sure she probably caught the show's.
Now you've got to You're probably right about that.
You do be watching.
So now she's saying way getting ready for the ring That makes those Eve.
Um, but we talk about hard work, but the bullet there, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Um, you know, um, pro org with the ball in his hands.
You know what you mean He's a rookie, Sim.
I mean, people are taking them, like, you know, we gotta learn howto do.
That's that's that's coming. That's gonna come.
That's not You know, that's not not going to come for r. J.
And not learning where to put the ball when you take over the game.
When the passage to the right player aren't that type of player where he learns and he gets better, you know? So I'm not really worried about, um I'm not worried about that part of game and you're gonna take bad shots.
You You're gonna when you like a top college.
But you're going to still believe you could do certain things in college.
That's that happens to everybody. So I'm not.
Things are rather, you know, said my brother have these issues then, like his shooting mechanics are like a shooting, you know? All like it.
Just like stuff like that. That's really a hue.
A bigger issue, are they? Oh, pretty much R J stuff is fixable.
We hope we hope I know.
But noble, you're ugly.
I agree with you.
You know, it is his stuff is his stuff, man.
Who he'll be fine if the kid projects how we think he is and we see them and tell you that he has r J will be fine, Man, I like seeing our deal with the bull. I do.
I told you before, So I think the best r.
J we're gonna get one day is gonna get it.
It's gonna be a 27 7 and seven kind of guy that I think are just let me let me ask you this, though, right? Because I always hear people.
I hear two different things from next fans, especially in this chair here.
I hear that we gotta have the type of all friends where the ball is moving and everyone's touching it and it's going.
It's going, it's going and then I hear Put the ball.
Are Jake's hands? You think them? I think so.
I think what Knicks fans really want.
I understand that you think is divided.
I don't think it's the fight.
I think it's more yes, we're gonna have.
Ah, we the Knicks.
A lot of Nick's friends want offense that, you know, people touched the ball and everything.
But, you know, if we think are just gonna be that guy, you know, sometimes seem that it's come down to give me the **** ball.
Do it does it does, but their specific times when it comes down to that right when your team, when your team, when whatever you trying to do as a team doesn't work, then you know you might say all right, we need this guy to get us a couple of buckets to get us on the roll.
You know, um, you know we'll have a system or anything.
So we're just playing street ball, basically out.
I mean, I don't know, no one was really gone, but but but like, But, you know, it's situations like that or teams going on, you know, 15 and run.
And you need R J.
Like, Yo, we need you to get us a bucket.
You know, to stop this run.
We need you to get us a bucket to stop the bleeding.
Times like that, or or he kind of could do that.
He's not scared to do that.
He's not scared to do that.
That's a That's a That's a big thing for somebody is only 19 years old.
I agree. I agree.
I'm just I'm just saying I'm just talking about you know, You know, some people say they want the ball.
Are Jake's hands like giving the ball? Given the bug in the ball one.
Some people, some people want tomorrow to be envying the Julian Lennon. Turn it over.
You gotta listen.
What I'm saying, This is what I'm saying.
All right? Right.
What? I'm saying is some people want the ball to be moving.
Some people want to try to feature R. J.
Do we want a feature, Arch? I mean, obviously what? You know, what a fan.
So we have no saying what the Knicks are going to do, but, um, how how is going to be the best way to use them is the best way to use him to feature him and make him like the LeBron James of the team.
Right, Because LeBron James has the ball.
Well, I haven't watched the leaders that much, but before, like his uses rate was right.
Are you looking for that? Are you looking for, You know, certain situations when he gets to that level and maybe you start grooming him for that level now, right? But certain situations, you know, the ball is going R J.
You don't see a way.
We don't have a point guard, man.
They cannot facilitate the offense.
And if I was having an r J.
Barrett's hand, then let him go for it.
He's one point for yeah, God as a so So before I say that, I'm not saying he's LeBron James.
Let me be clear when I say this.
The way I see r j is LeBron during the Heat years, and I'm not saying he's LeBron.
But I want all ready to play that kind of road where he was off the ball was still commute on the ball, like from 2010 toe like 2014 with went with LeBron.
I love that because he was off the ball.
He was moving without the ball, and he was dominant because then he got the ball sawdust to meet at our highest.
And I'm not saying he's gonna be LeBron James, but I want him to be played in that role of when LeBron was on the heat.
That's what I'm looking for, Sergeant.
One day you come from, all right.
Well, we'll see if that works out that way, so don't try to kill me.
But, you know, I didn't think that.
So, what do you think about this? You know, the Knicks were supposed to have a celebration against the Warriors.
All right, well, apparently they've scrapped that celebration to the RV, you know, due to the Corona Virus s So is this the article that came out today, says the Knicks are postponing the 50th anniversary celebration of the 69 70 championship team on March 21st Because of the Corona virus, team officials have started to reach out to the Knicks legends of their first title team to inform them of the cancelation, according to sources.
Some players expressed concern to the organization about flying amid the crisis, according to the CDC elderly.
And, of course, everyone that's going to be would be at that event, would be elderly, right? Elderly are considered most vulnerable to the virus, and flying has also deemed a risk of attracting germs.
All the players on the 1969 70 team are over 70 years old of the Knicks plan to honor the living members of the team during the halftime ceremony of their game with the Warriors.
Um, so they still get their good like that.
She's do like a video montage.
There's some something.
Yeah, that'd be nice.
To maybe do a video montage would do something like that, You know, just just a still honor them, you know? I mean, I I would I mean the least.
You could do it together.
Some video do it like show.
Have their announcer talk about them.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And star players from both teams just say something on behalf of the team, you know? Stefan, come out the half court.
R j could say something more.
Julius Don't know who we picked Mr Kids, right? I mean, it's up across an area e get it? Yeah.
And, you know, starting tonight, you know, Ah, Major league baseball, hockey, basketball, NFL, everybody.
They put out a a letter, ah stating that it was a combined later all of them together that Fay are not fans.
The media was no longer going to be able to go into the locker rooms, at least for the foreseeable future and dedicated area dedicated area for the for the press.
And I guess they put out to the play.
The NBA has put out to the players to prepare themselves to play in empty arenas.
Can you? I don't know, televised games, But that be that if that happens, that's gonna be wow.
Yeah, you know, So they would still play the games, but the arena's would be empty.
No fans, whatever the way things were going with this so Corona virus thing, I could see it happening.
Okay, I march man.
That's about spending March madness.
Possibly right, right? It's crazy.
I'm getting concerned.
I'm thinking, you know, some of my a few tournaments are probably going to be suspended.
You know, this whole thing events, man, I don't Texas here.
I mean, we've got, like, like the council south by southwest.
I don't Have you ever heard about that biggest music festival in Austin, right? And they canceled it, you know, And they're probably cancel fiesta in San Antonio, which is one of the biggest offense, too.
So and there'll be more precautionary.
And, you know, why is because their insurance bad, Nate, what you say? No, I said I said, you know, you know why? You know why these events are gonna be canceled? Because none of these insurance policies cover for infectious diseases.
And so no one's gonna put that kind of risk owns Probably somebody catch something at these events, and then they try get sued because I'm an insurance agent and, yeah, most post policy did not cover for infectious diseases.
And I've been here for so All right, the game very, very quickly.
I mean that And they got they got billions of dollars running around there down on that court.
And exactly you don't want none of them to get that exactly.
And it's probably, you know, they've stopped the N b A players from, you know, shaking hands with fans, taking pictures and all that stuff, you know, at least for the time being, you know, you know, based on everything that's going on, it's just a matter of time before you want some professional athletes.
Comes, comes down with it.
Now, if you're a professional athlete, they should be able to get over it, right.
You would think that a professional athlete should be young enough, healthy enough that they could get over.
You know they'll be down for a couple of weeks, but you never know when a player in the N.
A has some kind of respiratory issue.
You know, that could be Steph has got the flu right now.
They say ****** squeezes that he's supposed to play on Thursday.
Yeah, so And it is not Corona virus.
It's just a flu.
They said that I'm gay, right? Okay, you s o b put shaking so ***y.
I want just last thing on his Corona virus.
Man, I watched a movie called Contagion.
Oh, you saw that Came out in 2011? No, right around 2011.
But everything about that movie is what's happening right now.
So basically, basically, write a lady, she goes to China and she comes back Thio she comes back with a virus.
Okay, Hug my bat too, right? Exactly.
She comes. She comes back with a virus.
She's in contact with different people while she's in China and they go off to their countries and they affect their countries.
This virus, What was it? I forgot what the incubation period was.
But like it killed you, right? It had a 100% mortality.
It killed you, right? And, um so, you know, the whole you know, they had the whole thing going on with basically what we're saying going on today in the news.
All of that was going I mean, even the words, the words that they were using them, like know what were they were just talking about this on the news.
The same is that was a novel virus.
And it's now like, Oh, this is crazy.
And then at the end, they know where it came from.
A movie now? Yeah.
Look, Guillermo, somewhere like yes, just exactly.
Um Right, right.
But they didn't know where it came from finding, you know, they found a vaccine, and they got a bye vaccinated, whatever.
But they didn't know where it came from at the end.
What they showed is that over in China, um, or wherever they were, whether she was someone cut down a tree.
When the tree went down, the bats flew out of the tree, one into the bass.
That's no one of the bats found some bananas, right? And ate a piece of the banana.
And while it was flying, a piece of the banana fell into, like a pig farm, right? One of the baby pigs picked up that piece of banana.
That baby pit ended up, you know, was slow.
And it ended up being at the casino where the Lady Waas and cook, the chef, you know, was cooking up the pig making whatever they was making.
And the lady acts to get a picture with Chef.
I don't know the chef washed his hands.
They didn't show up.
The chef washed his hands, just dusted off thing.
Yeah, it looked like he just dusted, you know, white.
This hands off on his apron and they went out and took a picture with her right, and she shook his hand and all of that.
She shook his hand, and then she went to, you know, play, play blackjack and do whatever.
And she she shook other people's hands and, you know, she drink, drink in the in.
The waiter cleaned up her glass and all these people caught the virus.
And that's how it started.
Look that I was like, That's that's that's That's too close to what's happening right now to close.
I'm not ready to be in the city and have something. Get Corentin.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around quarantining the whole city.
What does that look like? What does that feel like? It looks like we need to show it on TV.
It looks like martial law there, smoking out the streets.
It looks crazy, man.
The real crazy Upstate New York.
I think there's like they trying to quarantine an area I think they were talking about.
I need to call my sister mask.
It's crazy, man.
Just hope everybody is safe, you know, Keep your hands.
You wash your hands as much as you can.
Don't touch your face a whole lot.
You don't do everything that you can, man.
Yeah, if you can check the movie. I was called Contagion.
I mean, it's basically you when you watch contains and you'll be like, ****, this is us right now we're in the middle of his movie a big shout out the city for ill thinking for the super Chatty said they'd better scrap that ceremony.
All those old timers might get sick.
Uh, he said it's a good move.
Shout out to everyone watching the best Next on TV.
I appreciate that city, You know.
It's crazy, man.
I know in Corona Virus. Next.
It's crazy, but but a man I'm gonna get out of here cause I gotta I got a I got a lot of work, man, that I got to get done for the night, you know? Saying so.
I got to get out ahead and get ready for this presentation tomorrow.
I gotta do a presentation in front of a bunch of legislators.
I got you here today.
So you want to just give us a couple of last words, man, before we get out of here, uh, peace to the check.
Thanks for having us.
You're saying this platform, you Do You think I appreciate everything you put into it? Man to man.
We said that states that you coming way, we will be back.
Right? Appreciate it, Nate. Days.
He's like a man.
Season's almost over, But we had 19 games left, so we got, like, 17 games left, man.
Man, I want to see some of the young guys playing, man.
I want to say, Won't nerve or Iggy play? I mean, it was not playing what would had surgery.
He's not playing.
That's right. He did. That's right.
What about a G? Man wants to see me play.
I don't know if he's gonna come up.
Man, it doesn't look like he's gonna come up and play right now.
Did you see our Houston at the game with Leon Rose and, uh, Terry, not sure that they should, Officially, a ex ERT.
And during the game, it was Leon Rose.
It was Perry and Allan Houston.
So maybe I'll Houston's coming up, man.
Well, I'm gonna say this.
I'm going to say this.
I would not, you know? And I said it before, and everybody was like, nice.
And Scott Perry is gone.
Um, don't be shocked if Scott Perry sticks around in some say, push, you know, some some shape, some form, some fashion, some form of fashion.
Whatever words I'm trying to get out.
I don't know, but don't be surprised if he sticks around.
You think that's just just even over what you say? You think he's gonna be demoted from GM? I don't know. We'll see, man.
I mean, listen, him and Leon Rose, they worked together in the past.
They seem that, you know, they have a good relationship from what I understand and what I've read, you know, they have a good relationship, you know? Maybe Leon Rose, just like, you know, we just need to change altogether.
So But if we are, Rose looks at him and says not looks at him, but, you know, is a random says, You know what I could use? I can you, Scott Perry to help me, you know, be organized and run the show when this necklace.
Now another thing, you never know.
So, you know, I'm just saying everyone is just saying automatically Was like, Scott Perry's out of here.
I don't think he's automatically out today because I think he's got respect in the organization and respect around the league E.
I mean, if they would have gotten if they would have, they got rid of Mills.
I thought that they wanted Perry gone.
They would've got rid of Perry.
Yeah, I got you Both started fresh, though.
Well, they need somebody to run it while somebody had money.
So But anyway, I say hit us with some last words, man.
I'm glad to be out of, um, Yeah, man.
Um I mean, hopefully a print for everybody stays safe.
You noticed this, Mrs To me, like a swine flu. Seven.
This This has always talking every year with this kind of stuff.
Man, it is, But But when is the last time? When is the last time that there's been people in cities, cities quarantine, You know, in Italy, like 16 million people will quarantine.
Yeah, that's crazy manner.
I don't know, but, you know, so gimbal would say we're finally what The Matrix is about to explode.
You know, like, you know, I started to give a but your man, Frank, had a good game tonight. 20 and 10.
Let's, uh I've got a back to back tomorrow, so hopefully we play better, man.
Everybody be safe.
Have a good night, Sam. You know you the man.
You know the rocket.
Oh, same man, you know.
Listen, man, my girls were falling down on the surprise.
Her and her mother supported dinner.
Mom cooking for her mother.
Okay, what you do, no doubt just make sure wherever you buy the food from its safe, I I'm cooking that I'm you know, you're right.
You make sure where you buy the food from its safe, you know, uh, speak careful with Dad, man.
Yeah, man, It's crazy.
Just be careful. That's the last.
You know what I mean? You know, you healthy, you go.
Your girlfriend is healthy.
So but, you know, it affects older people.
so watch out for you don't want to bring it home and then give it to someone who's older.
You know, when they can't deal with.
Like I'm telling my mom.
My mother over here has respiratory issues.
I'm, like, just stay in the house.
I'll go get whatever you need.
Stay in the house. Don't do nothing.
So I know you know what Gamma would say? Yeah, I know what you're trying to get rid of all the old people so that we have Social Security going forward.
I know that, you know, he will know what he's thinking right now.
He just don't want to say that's probably get most thinking, trying to get rid of a lot of old people so that we still have Social Security going forward.
Oh, I mean, Sam, you know what game was that right now? Basketball.
He jumping on the rooftops with the Morpheus code on with the glasses when he throwing red pills that everybody talked about.
You know, you gotta wake up, Get in.
The Matrix is right now. He's listening.
He's listening to us.
He's on the chat right now, but I gotta go, man.
I got to get back.
All right? I said I man.
Later, Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate you guys being here with me.
All right, Um, be safe.
Please be safe out there.
Make sure your family and friends and your family, you know, your family and friends and all the seniors in your household or that you're related to or that you know, are safe.
Because, serious man.
So please be safe.
And I will catch you guys tomorrow night after the game.
All right, case?
