What's going on? Everybody.
Antony here from unwrap Sports You want to come back and talk a little bit about the XFL games and recap? Um also puts him up place, um, ownership on myself on how wrong I was about all of his ex fo game today to went on and that all sto just discussed the Rockets and Celtics game here to an extent as a continued Thio battle closely in the fourth quarter here, so wanted thio xfl dot com e is being clearly just a place to view the game's more show than she.
Statistics of the game.
Okay, let's start with the L A Wild Cats and New York Gardens game.
Um, yeah, uh, I thought I'd really disrespected Luis Perez there thought.
And the guardians of the whole.
I thought that Les Wildcats were going to blow them out.
I was clearly wrong.
I thought they were training in the correct direction in terms of just just coming off last week, playing a pretty good D C defenders team and undefeated DC defender steam blowing them out of the water about Josh Johnson was gonna ride a hot hand of this game and you know, just based on what I know from Luis Perez wasn't very good when he's playing the burning game.
Iron was really, really carried by that defense, and he proved me wrong, did that.
He looked really good down and stretches.
He certainly provided enough throughout the game.
I mean, 18 of 26 150 yards.
I mean, that's pretty pretty much what I expected, and I also had a touchdown.
But defensively, I mean, they were really able to hold Nellie Wildcats. You know, Joe.
Surprising 54 points.
I don't think Wildcats had a really good balance.
Johnson threw for 40 passes.
They didn't run the ball much year.
Olds like like 10 13 times.
Johnson threw for 3 32 touchdowns and a pick.
Trey McBride had a big game, but ultimately, the defense was doing enough in the offensive enough.
I mean, crew does to the Guardians.
I think they put a big win at home and much needed win it to, and two, I think the Wildcats.
There's still a lot of hope for them in terms of just ah, starting wide receiver was out.
I mean, for for the Wildcats you mean because I not too sure about I was Spruce.
Yes, Nelson's first was out.
That's true, but I think treatment run has come on pretty strong for them in the past couple of games.
I think he's an underrated asset for this Wildcats team.
And to be honest, I'm not sure if Spruce would've made the difference in this game.
I know Spruce has been a good threat, the good threat for them and also expressing, You know, I think a lot of the reasoning found the NFL is because of injury and what he's had to face and the inverse if he's under faith, but I don't know that necessarily made it would have made a difference today.
I just feel like they had no run game to compete against the Guardians.
Even when they were leading in this game.
They just didn't do enough to, like ultimately stop them like Perez like going for 1 15 touchdown and Victor being the they're leading runner Russia with 80 yards.
I also anything comes out that guardians defense like I think they look really good week one when they were playing the Vipers and I think in this one.
They kind of showed like a little bit of, Ah, regulation of that.
You know, I think the past couple games say I slipped a little bit, but I think that had more to do with how how much the Elephants was forcing the defense to be on the field for stretches of a game.
And I think in this one they controlled the game script a little bit better.
Allow the defense to rest up a little bit.
Well, now we can see you know how good they can be when they do rest up a little bit.
Prez are honestly, at this point, I view Perez is a game manager, 18 of 26 1 15 to touch out.
That's enough to get it done.
If the defense is doing well, you know, hold the ball and have enough time of possession offense.
And but also, I think president game Andrew.
I think it's gonna be a good that it's gonna have to come down the balance for the Guardians to compete in this one.
The Wildcats like, pretty disappointing not gonna lie.
I wanted to, you know, I think they drop that first game because it Johnson not playing we to that.
Yeah, that definitely hurts Mr Fielding on the streets, obviously with, especially with it being a three point game, I think the wild catch to, you know, not being able to put that game against the Renegades, which was really, really close.
I think that was probably Landry Jones worst game and the two games he's played so far.
So that one definitely hurts as well.
But, like ultimately, I I still I still have more confidence moving forward with L.
A wild casting Josh shots and what they're able to do within Montes Winston Mosque in a defensive guy and, you know, hold them to 17 points.
It's pretty good still, you know not you didn't like you gave a baton and points and you were completely out of it the whole game.
Ultimately, I think the Guardians just did.
Maura made more plays.
I think that's really what it comes down to and sometimes it just happens like that.
But ultimately what I liked about this game is that there's a lot of uncer*****y you don't really don't know which direction each team is going still here in four weeks in the XFL.
You know, we're still getting surprised by teams that don't look very good for a couple weeks, and ultimately you're pulling out.
I think that's just the fun of sports in general, but at the same time, like, I think I like the fact that I'm not necessarily unable to pick a A favor every week in the XFL because I think it just it just ultimately can switch up and down just based on on teams and match up.
So kudos to the Guardians Big win today for them.
I think the Wildcats still have a lot to play for, and hopefully they can continue to figure that out.
The other game was the Seattle ST Louis game, which a little bit closer, I thought.
But I think that has a lot to do with the fact that Seattle made a change.
You know earlier today was talking about how Brandon Silvers wasn't necessary, necessarily the option.
He hasn't looked very good.
I like he says, my favorite team.
Yeah, I'm a big Houston fan as well.
Uh, I've been really following PJ will hurt Camp Phillips there, I think tomorrow's game against the Dallas renegades is gonna say a lot of Houston's certainly looking like the Orlando polyps of the A F right now, kind of just like blown blown teams out of the water here.
Or at least, you know, blowing the conversation out of the water in this, in a sense, but the Seattle ST Louis game right now.
I mean, I think ST Louis is are very viable threat right now.
Jordan Camus continues to look good.
I would like to look a little bit more.
Their stats actually get that.
See, the end of the game saw the beginning of the game Brands Overs obviously switched out with B.
Daniels, who I think it's good that B.
Daniels got his chance.
But before Silver's will switch on me 4 10 27 yards, I mean, that's that's kind of in the, you know, the base of his play, but like disregarding Week one B J.
Daniels coming in 5 10 100 yards touchdown take.
But just having the threat on the ground 84 yards today, 35 with us Long don't necessarily like what they did with running.
I mean, what 13 carries between the three of them? Uh, 41 yards.
I mean, definitely have to get the run more involved, but, uh, offensively, I think she has to struggle throughout this game.
The fact that they only lost by seven was pretty surprising.
And whoever picked ST Louis, I'm sure they're pretty upset because Seattle's offense that lived it very good, but defensively, they were able to hold them.
Tim, you still have pretty had a pretty efficient day.
2027 74 yard or 264 yards and a touchdown.
63 yards on the ground.
Um, but ultimately, I think the battle Hawkes, you know, despite maybe an easier schedule, this sharp teeth, and they looked really good so far, I think they're definitely that the number two seed right now.
And, you know, I think ultimately there, between them and the renegades, they're giving Houston the most run for their money right now.
So, uh, I was pretty surprised.
I'm not gonna lie about what Seattle was able to do in terms of keeping it close.
I thought maybe the battle hawks would cover the spread.
I'm glad I didn't bet on them.
Although why My MBA bets weren't too much better, however.
That being said, I think that what I had to do with B. J.
Daniels finally getting his opportunity.
The quarterback, you know, long time receiver in the NFL, buying special teams with the Seahawks.
You know, last season with the Salt Lake stat Stallion's and A didn't get his opportunity because he was injured after being picked on the quarterback draft.
You know, being able to see him play this year.
And are you just even getting like a more of an opportunity in this game? I think it's huge.
I think Seattle would be stupid not to move forward with B.
J. Daniels and see if he can't be the answer.
But at one and three, you know, you're kind of you're kind of doing anything and hoping for the best right now.
Um, you know, in order to get back contention four games and already one and three, you only got six more games left ago.
You got You got to do something.
And changes are gonna be made quick here in the NFL.
So certainly was a fun day.
And that still some competitive match ups and tomorrow's gonna be, You know, another good game between the first, the Texas rivalry and Houston and Dallas and then two teams that are looking to prove themselves to tame the fibers sitting at 13 and then the D C defenders.
You know, being too and one.
But coming off a game where they were completely blown out and exposed.
I think they're really out to prove something, so we'll see.
You know what happens.
But between the two of them, let's move on to a little, eh? NBA basketball here.
More specifically, the Rocket and Celtics, which is a game of the night right now and going on.
See, I want to see what the scores right outside checked there in the fourth quarter, 91 87.
Houston certainly made their comeback after being down 13 at the half or whatever.
Take him having another extent.
But on the inside of that, Westbrook having another outstanding game as well.
The Rockets continue to confuse people with this five hour offense.
You know, center that really kind of plan, like kind of, Ah, I want to say like a to K style.
In a sense, I can be a two cages playing five out, Really facing the floor here, giving West Room to Operate Me continues to capitalize on it.
I mean, 33 points so far.
33 points, five rebounds.
Flores is hardens.
Got 17 7 and two are.
I should say 17 3 and set.
