First of all, I would like to know what I did to deserve this.
You're gonna take thanks.
Drawl and beat and bent Simons away from me.
You're gonna take both of them.
God, the hell's that? Take both of my stars.
Well, right now, we don't even know the extent of Joel and beads injury.
We know about Ben Simmons because we heard the reports on Tuesday.
Ah, but Joel Embiid, for those of you who don't know he suffered a sprained shoulder in yesterday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
And he's gonna get an m r I tomorrow, so we don't know the extent of that injury.
And then there's Ben Simmons, who's dealing with a bad back.
And you have the report come out on Tuesday.
Uh, a dream Ogonowski on ESPN.
He's got nerve impingement in his lower back.
He's gonna be sidelined for two weeks and then be reevaluated.
But I don't think he's gonna be back any time soon, and I don't even know if he's gonna be back for the rest of this season.
So this is a critical point here, uh, for the Sixers, because if you look at the schedule coming up.
They got some tough opponents on the road and you look at the standings in the Eastern Conference.
It's kind of getting away from you.
So one of those top three seeds is probably at this point gonna be un obtained unattainable.
I don't think it's gonna be attainable, especially with these injuries.
You're gonna have to, you know, kind of get through this here, But now you're looking at it potential, you know, first round where you don't have home court advantage.
And that is paramount for the Sixers.
So it's, you know, you're looking at again a situation here.
It's it's gonna be difficult because, you know, you're without two guys.
I don't know what's up with Embiid and you look at this road stretch here.
Let's just look at the schedule real quick.
You got after New York tonight.
You got the Knicks at home.
You should be able to win that game tonight even without Ben Simmons and impede.
But you never know.
You would think they would have beat the Cavs last like that didn't happen.
But these road games starting on Sunday, you're in L.
For the Clippers and then the Lakers, and you're probably not gonna have Joel Embiid.
I'm gonna guess for those two games, so there's gonna be else.
Those were gonna be hard elves.
And then you got to go at Sacramento at Golden State.
And here was The thing is like, if you had Joel for these, you know, a couple games, it would have been it would have been huge, obviously, because after L.
A it gets a little bit easier for the Sixers, Let me just run down the rest of the slate at Sacramento at Golden State.
Detroit at home, Indiana at home.
That's gonna be tough, but at least it's at home.
Washington at home, Toronto at home at Charlotte.
Not that great of a team.
Atlanta at home at Minnesota, They've been disappointing.
They're not very good.
Phoenix at home.
Portland at home, Houston at home at Washington.
Not that good, but they've lost to him earlier this season.
Orlando have lost twice to them on the road, but they got him at home.
Milwaukee at home at San Antonio, not a playoff team at New Orleans.
That's gonna be difficult.
John Moran fighting jockeying for the eighth seed.
You know, that's gonna be difficult.
And then they closed the year you got Charlotte.
So you look at that slate, that remaining slate, It's really not that bad.
But if you don't have both of your star players for an extended period of time, I don't know what they're gonna go in those games.
So right now you're looking at 36 23.
You look at the standings in the N B A, and they are 1/2 game behind the heat for the fourth spot.
The heat right now are kind of in a spin as well, because last 10 games, they're three and seven.
They've lost two in a row.
Defense has not been as formidable as it was earlier in the season, so you know, they were playing a lot of zone.
I don't know if that zone has been kind of figured out a little bit, but they probably played more zone than any team in the N b A.
And you know, they got off to a great start with Jimmy Butler and, uh, you know, bam Anna Bio.
Ah, still really good team.
But no, that's That's what you're looking at here.
You want to get that four seed to potentially, you know, host the Heat in the first round.
Siri's Now you look at the Pacers, though.
The Pacers they're nipping on the heels to Pacers or two games behind the and then a game and 1/2 behind six years.
And then, as I explained, uh, these two teams are gonna be playing each other on March 14th.
So sprained shoulder.
I'm gonna hope and pray that Joel will be back by that point.
You get a home game against Pacers.
That's gonna be a really important game to win because you're looking at you know, that four and six range.
That's probably what you're looking at this point because, you know no Ben Simmons.
No Joy Ll Bean. You're not gonna catch the subjects.
And the Raptors Celtics 41 in 17.
They have a five and 1/2 game advantage over the Sixers for the three seed and in Toronto's even further ahead at seven and 1/2.
Actually, is it No. Six and 1/2.
So six and 1/2 behind Raptor, five and 1/2 behind the Celtics and then to your top players. Not there.
You're probably not gonna win a lot of games.
Uh, definitely not on the road.
So, um, probably not gonna get to the three.
Ah, let's see, Away from home.
As we know, the Sixers are nine and 21 but the more important number is there one in 12 on the road against teams that are over 500.
And you look at this late again just to run down here at l a Dada.
Ella, Ella, Ella at l A at l.
Easy for me to say and it rhymes on the poet Didn't know it at l. A at l. A.
Okay, those two teams over 500.
But then after that, the only team they have over 500 I see is, is Memphis and his Memphis even over 500.
Still, they are 28 30 so they're not even at 500 anymore.
So? So the only two games that the Sixers have on the road against teams that are over 500 or there are the L A teams, and that's it.
But they're gonna be without you.
Well, and be for those two games, so those are both gonna be automatic else.
I don't know if they win tonight or not, but let's just say, you know, sprained shoulder and beads out.
I don't say a week or two.
I have no idea how long he's gonna be out.
Um, but these l a games, probably gonna be else, but the rest of the way, Really? Not that bad.
So you know Tobias Harris? He's getting paid 100 $90 million.
You know, like there's gonna be no joy.
And B there's gonna be no Ben Simmons.
Okay, well, then that means that your other guys, we're gonna have to step up, and you're gonna have to tread some water.
And you're gonna have to, you know, hope by the time and beat gets back that you still have your still within striking distance.
Or, you know, maybe you still, you know, in the five spot for the four spot.
But the key is gonna be to tread water that when it beat comes back, uh, he's gonna be able to put the team on his back enough that they could maybe get home court in the first round.
Uh, because right now, if you don't get home court one and 12 on the road against teams over 509 and 21 on the road overall, they're not gonna win a first round series of if they have to start on the road.
I don't think they will.
I I don't know what's going on with Benson's.
I don't know how long he's gonna be out.
We think this whole thing is a mystery right now.
We have no idea what's going on with these two guys again. Emma.
Right, Amar for Joel and beat it sounds like, you know, obviously, and beat situation is probably not a seriousness Benz.
Um, but again, with the two l A games coming up and you're gonna have no drawing a bead, man, that sucks.
But that goes to the rest of the team, man.
No, they're gonna have to step up.
They're gonna pick up their play.
You just traded for two guys.
Alec Berg is Glenn Robinson the third, So they're gonna have to step up.
Everybody's just gonna have to step up.
And you know, you're gonna have to hope that you can win some of these games that are winnable at Sacramento Act Golden State, Detroit Ah, Washington at home I mean these air winnable games.
So after those two l A games at Sacramento at Golden State, Detroit, Washington, Indiana, can they go for on one, if not three and two? You don't want to go to and three against those teams, but who knows? So that's where we're at right now regarding this situation regarding ah, dwell on Bean and Ben Simmons and their injuries.
Oh, got some comments here.
Uh, Brett Brown needs to go.
It's so embarrassing watching them play, Can't even went on the road says RK RK 03 Is that for Randy Orton? Um, it's frustrating.
You know, I there is a direct correlation.
Um, I don't have the stats in front of me.
I did this study about a month ago, but when they shoot over 33 pointers, they lose basketball games.
When they're under 30 they win basketball games.
The reason for that, I mean, Brett Brown, who's got his offense where you know, it's kind of free flowing elects to shoot a lot of threes, but the roster wasn't really constructed to be one to shoot a lot of threes you brought in our Horford.
You know, guys that really shouldn't be shooting as many threes as they're shooting.
Um, So I saw about the game before the All Star Game, Uh, the one against the Clippers where they attack the rim.
That was really one of the few times all season that I saw them kind of play the bully ball mentality that that I've been waiting for all season long that you know, Brett Brown's been kind of preaching all season long.
And, you know, ever since then they've been playing better.
Dwell indeed, with 39 points against against the Nets and then follows it up with 49 against Atlanta.
From from a Philip philosophical standpoint, things were looking better.
Al Horford was put to the was sent to the bench, but, um, no injuries air now derailing everything.
So you know, we'll see what happens in the coming weeks, and we'll see.
The Sixers are able to kind of keep within striking distance.
You know Ah, your thunder or playing Well, So you're happy? Yeah, they probably been the biggest surprise in the n b A this season, man.
Um, you know, they got some young solid pieces over there.
I'm a big fan of Shake out.
He'll just Alexander Chris Paul was an all star for them.
So, you know, that's that's great, man, because it seemed like they were trying to play for the future.
You know, they made those trades, they stockpiled picks.
I thought they were gonna be, like, really bad this year and, you know, kind of play the process game kind of way.
But no, they They've been really good this year.
Chris Paul All star.
And you know, good for them.
So there is that All right, That's it for this video. I'm Adrienne.
