I am Matt Williamson with E.
Barker here at the combine in Indianapolis, bringing you my NFC West preview starting with the Cardinals.
Good things happen for the Cardinals.
They look to have a foundation quarterback coach in place.
There should be an excellent receiver or maybe defensive tackle, certainly offensive tackle available for them and round one.
Maybe they could luck into Derek Brown.
They have some cap space, but not overly amount to spend.
They didn't already lock up T. J.
Humphrey's starting tackle and Kenyan drinks, really their only big decision.
Unrestricted free agent.
I don't know how much it costs, but they probably don't wanna invest a lot in the running back position.
Still, they've got a lot to do with this roster.
The offensive line needs help.
They need more playmakers around Cuyler. Murray.
Pretty much everything on defense needs addressed.
So still a work in progress, the Rams very top heavy roster.
They might have to rebuild the entire offensive line.
They got a lot invested in several big name guys, and they need a more depth and more of a middle class.
As usual, they don't have a first round pick.
Very minimal cap space.
Some of their unrestricted free agents include Dante Fowler, Andrew Whitworth, Michael Rockers, Cory Littleton and even Blake Bortles.
Only backup quarterbacks costs money.
The Niners, runner up in the Super Bowl picking 31st also don't have a ton of cap space.
Can they stay on top? I tend to think so.
I think they're super well coached, have a really good roster.
They've done some great roster building, but Emmanuel Sanders up for free agency.
Jimmie Ward had a really good season for them as it Eric Armstead.
Both those off this great defense are up for free agency.
There is a great core in place, though, with San Francisco, so I don't think they're going anywhere.
Seattle Such an interesting team because, frankly, I don't think their rosters all that great.
But I still think Russell Wilson is the premier player in the NFL.
With all respect to Pat Mahomes, Wilson does more with less than anyone in the league, and it keeps his team highly highly relevant.
They have the most cap space in the division, but still they're kind of just middle of the road in that regard.
They did already signed Greg Olsen.
It looks like you'll be their starting tight end, at least for this year.
To Davian Clowney's up for free agency.
I would think they'll consider Franchising him.
They They have some others of know, too, but mostly defense of Lyman concluding.
Giron read a player I like quite a bit.
This defensive line could use a lot of work, and, frankly, the whole roster could use quite a bit.
The offensive line isn't great.
The receivers air pretty decent.
The running backs are pretty decent, but Wilson makes it all go.
I am Matt Williamson from your barker. Take care.
