What's going on today? Guys? How This this evening, Wherever you may be in the world.
But what's going on? Say, Ah, this is Steven Tato back with you Once again, uh, if you don't know who I am as always, I am the host of the fantasy coaches podcast and a member of Hung Up Sports Network.
Uh, definitely Go check us out everywhere possible for me.
And I said, I am because of the fancy coaches.
We have a fantastic website.
If he adds up more information on fast football, it's over.
A WW dot the fantasy coaches dot com where we have all over great content for the tire off season, including officers and rankings, offseason episodes and name it.
We got it over there.
I got a couple new ones.
You got the, uh, 2019 rookies were redraft for dynasty leagues.
That was a lot of fun that helped get done.
Uh, a lot of fun going on over there so difficult tickets out.
But tonight I'm here again with you to talk about my a f c West.
The vision of you got two more to go all offseason.
I've been doing these divisional reviews kind of looking back on what kind of happened throughout the season here and kind of give you a quick preview of what's to come in the coming weeks.
So it's been a lot of fun to do this so far.
So I do enjoy talking about fantasy, football and everything between before we get started.
I just want to mention the XFL guys.
I don't know about you, but it's it's not that.
Actually, it's it's entertaining.
I watched both teams on, say, report from these games were kind of blowouts.
But you know, there's a lot of good football playing in, especially yesterday's games, a little more little more intense.
But no, it's still pretty fun to watch this, even though the postseason now you know, kind of off right now until till August.
I mean, it's it's something to look forward to.
It hopefully kind of grow and could be something that, you know, gives football another couple more months before we may be no May, June and July.
Those months, birth kind of even more dead.
So it's it's been a lot of fun and hopefully they expand on it just a little bit.
Maybe add a couple of teams.
It would be nice to see that.
So, uh, you know the XFL isn't going for is going pretty well, but get over to my first stop of the night a f C.
West part, too, if you want to see Part one.
I did that a couple nights ago.
I didn't want to split in half, but I had to unfortunately stop anything's joining going gold comfortable, great name.
So I have slipped splitting up TOC West into two parts.
Last week we talked about the Open A Las Vegas right now, and the change can City Chiefs and tonight would be talking about the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers, both great divisions, both great, no great division but great fantasy players on both teams here.
So I'll get right into it and start with the Denver Broncos first off and, well, what's that with a quarterback situation? And, you know, the beginning of the year of Joe Flacco was a quarterback who what's playing okay? For the most part, he had a couple of decent games that you could say we're kind of fantasy relevant it was definitely more so that he kind of made quote on Son started off very strong for us in fantasy football.
But we'll get a quote in something a few seconds.
But, you know, he got injured out for the year it happened.
And, you know, he made May and may not be coming back next year.
Who knows? Uh, but you know that more than light or even starting quarterback probably will be Drew lock unless something changes with Black.
Only want to see him out there.
But if they're the Denver Broncos, you need to see if you have a franchise quarterback Andrew Lock.
And I think at this point you saw enough for him this past season that you got him a shot at it.
I mean, human week, 13,000 yards and us no, and the seven touchdown to interception ratio.
And then they won the last four or five games.
Uh, at the end of the year, and he was averaging almost 18 fancy points in the winds.
He had a 64% completion percentage, and again, he wasn't so fantastic.
But he had a pretty facing game that you don't look well this guy who could fix the real deal.
He got that strong arm.
I mean, he was out earlier in the year.
We probably would have played thanks to follow.
Who? RK who? Three. Thanks for joining.
Appreciate that as well.
I'm working on a horrible name.
Guys, I don't mean to butcher them, but, you know, he wasn't too bad Overall, He he had some good moments for sure.
He definitely has a huge arm, but he's got a couple things you need to work on.
Fresh is full book you could see during games or he kind of got pressured and kind of threw off balance, which, you know, we don't want that.
You don't want that football in general.
And you know that leads over bats football.
So if you can work on that this offseason, I mean he's primed to be a sleeper candidate for a huge breakout year.
He's got weapons around him being needed another weapon or two in this offseason, but he's got the He's got the town to be a star quarterback for us in fantasy football, and, you know, it seems like every year these off seat.
These two year two guys come out of nowhere like, you know Patrick Holmes two years ago.
Mark Jackson your past year on me.
You've seen these guys kind of just come out of nowhere and just dominate football.
And, you know the one saying It's Carl Murray.
He's gonna be the guy who who would be the breakout about what you could.
Very much we'll be.
But, you know, Drew lock.
He could be a guy to you by many games, and he's got that talent to him.
It would be interesting to see if he gets out and breaks out.
I will talk about this quarterback, his quarterback, but his new offensive coordinator and Pat Shurmur, who we've seen him, you know, work with case Keenum in Daniel Jones and no produced fantasy like season.
So Drew, lock of the grossly mechanic.
I think I saw that he saw enough out of him that he has a Billy, told him to be very good and fantasy football.
It just means that work on a couple of things to solve season.
So Drew Lock is an interesting player.
Go move into the running back situation here Now you have voice. Freeman.
You have Phillip.
Lindsay, These guys, you know, a lot of battle between who should be the real starter.
And early on last year, you had a very split combo.
I mean, both these guys were kind of fancy relevant.
At one point, people finish the top 36.
Just pretty good for running back to Oahu.
Had a losing season.
But in the 1st 8 games, you know, very similar carries.
Just be free, Manel 1 15 to 1.
But darn second half since season.
I think the organization kind of really that Lindsay is their main guy.
He's a guy continues to do it.
It's not that injury problem we were looking at early on.
So, uh, in the second half of games he had in the 88 44 carries, and he just obviously took over And second half, you know, even with them being down in games, he was able to compare Lee just dominate the early down roll, while Freeman still was involved in the passing game.
He kind of barely out targeted are starving and Phillip Lindsay, 50 48.
But overall, I mean, these guys were very heavily used in the red zone on the way.
The offense working back then? No.
They use their running backs very much so.
These guys had fantasy relevant games all year long.
And with the new of Z coming in, I think it's gonna actually even help favor if it'll blend Z right now, I did do an article on cocaine changes, and if you wanna check that out, I told you to stop by our website that we never got the fantasy coaches dot com where, you know, Pat Shurmur likes to use them or all purpose back than just splitting around in the ops.
Yes, he had going back in the day, but, uh, he likes that all purpose guy filled Lindsay can do that.
You know, people talk about his size and small and everything like that, but he has an ability to still do it all the whole three gun role.
If he wants to. Yes.
You know, that takes a lot of cold for a guy who's kind of smaller, but he seemed to be very, uh, stayed on the field.
He wasn't her injured that much, or he was He's a little banged up, but still yet played games.
So not that overall.
Lindsay did have, you know, 10 7 games over 10 fast.
He points, and three of those games over 18.
I've only had 200 yard dog games.
I think that was just morally do to us what they had.
So it's not really his fault that you didn't do produce more than what he should've.
Just because they used Freeman so much as well.
And in this game here, so filled.
Lindsay's definitely clear ****, I think, going into next year well, Freeman, I think, is he and I think he needs a change of scene change of scenery, but he won't get that till his contract expires.
But he's definitely a guy who you could see this past season.
He was involved after Holland Walter be coming into this new offensive coordinator change, and he's definitely someone you might want to take in the later rounds.
A handcuffed, filled lends itself and then we go to the wider sea before and unfortunately, outside of Poland, son, there wasn't much.
I mean, we had Emmanuel Sanders there early on, but he was traded away and the only other guy who could be thought maybe could have a shot at the show on Hamilton, but unfortunately, didn't really fizzle out Right now, maybe you need to know the year stop before we really get simple.
Corland sod That me breakout season from Corleone says it's something this past season.
I mean truly break up, you know, he finished 19th overall again.
He was only real option there in the 1st 8 games, he at least 60 yards.
And during the second half, a kind of where things kind of fell off a little bit, going at the regains over 60 yards on I said most of success that do it. Joe Flacco.
Early on, she Joe Flacco, adjusting the love Berlin sign, which is the throw up, throw up throw and think, Well, it's on the type of player that will fit in this new patch from are often very well, you know, you've seen stuff on Big, juicy at dealing.
You seen decked in area slate in the ground.
Hold tape, darling.
Sheppard, These guys performed very well in this kind of offense.
You know, he's at 64 to 15.
Who could you know, jump up and get the ball And he had at least a game.
They pretend fancy points again.
Think kind of fizzled out a little bit when Drew lock and a thanks for joining Paul.
Um, you know, kind of fizzled out a little bit when the Brendan Allen and Drew Lakhan took over.
He didn't get nothing production, but you know, these young guys who are over the experience and there's gotta get the ball more.
And, you know, no fan also had a little insurgents and two as well.
So thing kind of got away from Colin.
Signed, I think people a little love on him.
No, I'm still a little on the edge about if he's in a really break out.
It really just depends on how this quarterback played goes out and your life will have a big, a big responsibility getting the ball this year.
I think he's a solid low and wide receiver to I think he could be a high.
I think he could be a wide receiver when I don't think he's there yet, but he could be.
But for right now, I think he's just a low in white issue for two with upside.
And then we go to the last position of the Denver Broncos, and it's a very promising position going forward now.
I mean, it's been a while since the days of Julius Thomas that they've had a tight end who was worthy of a fantasy spot, and it's no fat.
And no, the biggest question is that no effect can he get into the next tier going into your too.
It's very hard for tight, quirky tight ends or young Titans really like into the scenes and be a dominant forces.
And they have to be a true, truly special kind of talent.
And it's on where it was unsure if he's gonna be there yet.
I mean, he had successor True True Locker and during the season, which was good.
So, you know, you have that ability to like, you know, how that chemistry come up strong, you know, get a decent year, you know? I mean, it wasn't too bad, was it? He's a big guy.
64 is 2 59 I mean, he could be a real dominant for, especially in the red zone.
I mean that we only had one game move for yards this past year.
Uh, you know, he he needs a little bit warp again.
These work young, tight ends are interesting.
You know, they don't really pan out early on too often.
So it's gonna be interesting to see how they do go next to go.
I'm going next year with this guy.
And no, basically, you saw this year, I don't think he's a guy was jumping that top 10 yet.
I think he's gonna be someone who, you know, needs another year or two.
Three thing No fat really could take that next level, but he's gonna take another level next year.
And he isn't somebody you should be worthy about drafting early in early drafts.
He's someone you probably wanna wait until, you know you're in those later rounds you want take a shot on him because he has a tremendous talent toe.
Really do very well in fancy football.
But you really you wait to see what we're capable of getting from a new one.
Bones on more reliable, like you know what? They're Wilder was later rounds.
You know, you go with somebody like no after Henry if he stays in And the Chargers? You know, these guys you want to take, You have that short thing that go with the guy who has nothing.
But you take that role, you're gonna take the risk where you know he may not produce.
Very when you may be searching the waivers for a tight end.
And, you know, that was last year.
Very hard to find a vomit.
I didn't from a wave response.
So that is the end of the Denver Broncos, guys.
And now we got the Sandy San Diego.
I've got Los Angeles charges.
See, I'm still I'm something in the Charter of Joy in San Diego.
But a lot, huh? Thanks for the whistle.
You. Always forget about that.
I'm gonna be talking about the the Las Vegas Raiders as well.
I'm gonna see the open murders so many times.
Season may be great, but onto the Los Angeles Chargers.
And while they have an interesting situation come this year, I mean their quarterback filled rivers after 16 seasons and no longer will be the starting quarterback.
Now, you know again, Philip Rivers, wherever he lands, you know, we'll talk about him a little more detail at that point.
You know he get a decent season overall.
But right now the quarterback situation is a revelation.
That a mystery because pyro Tyler, Tyrone Taylor's there and East and sticks the quarterbacks in the roster.
You know, there's a lot of speculation that they're gonna drafting, like to, uh, just Herbert this coming draft.
But again, we really can't talk about them until they actually do.
The best scenarios to draft this young guy, that Tyrod Taylor leading team for a year or half a season where I belong, he can hold on to the job, for it's a row.
Tailoring that's football picture would be interesting.
Uh, he is a mobile quarterback.
Still, in an age where the mobile quarterbacks seems to be flourishing right now, Jackson shot lattes and Russell Wilson.
Josh, Alan, these guys are runners who could, you know, yards for us.
Advance football would make it even better.
Port about a better play for us and fantasy.
So Tom Rotella still could be there.
You know that guy who you could get in the later rounds and drafts, and he could be someone who? That's a pretty decent numbers she's got.
She's got a strong worship, a weapon for this time around, compared his times in Buffalo.
I mean, you have Keenan Allen.
My Williams hopefully have under Henry going into next year.
So, you know, time Britain looked being the guy who were sleeping on right now, vanishing.
If you have, you're in a dynasty lead right now with your quarterback situation in a you know, mystery.
I think Ira Taylor is not bad.
Pick up right now.
I'm just a little on your bed to see what you know.
It was possible for him because this is the age of mobile quarterbacks and Tyrod Taylor could get the job done very easily.
Then we go over to the running back, which is another headache of us. Inherit.
Lots of problems as well for the Chargers.
I mean, what? Melvin Gordon, Austin Bechler.
These guys are both technically free agents known. Gordon unrestricted.
Also necklace a restricted free agent.
We can all assume that most likely also likely will be back, and Justin Jackson would be there to hold the rock.
But from a belt going real quick, he sat out for games, and let's say he comes back to the team.
I think he would be a solid part of doctors who were running back to his team.
I mean, come on.
He know sawing off a little slow, a little rocks off, you know, wasn't as productive.
And then they made the OSI switching Week eight.
And then he end up, you know, having at least 10 fancy points and all but one game we get on on even split the season with Elsa.
Necklace just got kind of dominate the red zone.
Um, during that second half, a season hit 38 attempts in the red zone, too, compared to no snack was 19.
Yes, he's been in your throne all season, but if he comes back, he should be a solid wide receiver running back to for us and fax football.
You know, he just it seems like they want to run the ball and they want to give Melvin Gordon pressure without Philip Rivers there.
Excuse me, guys.
I'm Melvin Gordon will probably see upwards at least 15 to 16 carries with Austin Echo and more than likely receiving, you know, close to 10.
Probably and no more, both in the receiving game, but, uh hey, things were drawn in, uh, you know, but Melvin Gordon could be a real interesting candidate.
Who knew people are sleeping on it.
Could be a solid wires.
You're running back to keep saying, wide receiver running back to for us in fantasy football.
So you keep your eye on him, see where he goes.
He goes somewhere else.
Depends where he goes, where his value will be.
Probably a still alive running back, too.
But in San Diego, not saying to go to Los Angeles he's increase a great candidate.
But let's talk about Let's say it.
Melvin Gordon leaves and fell before leaves Austin Actually, thing, isn't it Very funny.
Interesting cancer football candidate.
You know, we saw this past season where what he was able to do without Melvin Gordon there.
I mean, wow, very strong.
I mean, he was dominating early on, kind of fell off a little bit, especially with the no, the OSI switch.
You know he'll have one performance over 20 fancy points.
You know, after you know, just dotting the 1st 8 games this season and I still think He's gonna be really strong and minutes befall me.
And Philip Rivers kind of made him a little bit better than I think he waas because deliver little rivers really likes the throat.
Still running back position here.
So you have to take that consideration a t mobile.
You know, someone also may not be, as you know, favorable to that position.
They're so mean.
Also, Heckler is a guy.
They're gonna be family.
The pieces started, You know, I think he will get that 15 carries a game with Justin Jackson.
Kind of rotating in.
And we saw Justin Jackson is someone who's also so when you want to drop in later around it, he is the backup to also neck because he was very productive in those four games with Gordon out.
No, he had 17 carries, 442 yards.
So, you know, that's pretty decent.
I don't think he takes over as the star started or anything, unless they don't bring back where were awarded.
But it should be back.
And I think Justin Jackson was split with them, and they think there will be a real solid planets.
Have you know that you're gonna want next year on Standard League.
I don't think you want it.
Get that heckler value very early and PPR league.
The pathway to your leaves.
You definitely shouldn't that early third round pick for him, um, and Justin Jackson, who's looking for that? They just after around 10 or 11 or 12.
So not a bad combo with the starters run back for broke out, and they had a lot of people that could talk two year deal with and whatnot.
But over to the wide receiver position now.
And we talked about Keenan Allen and, like Williams, those guys you really want, that's football.
We're not gonna mention Keenan Allen too much because I think you're unhappy now.
Has a solid around every guy.
You get him in the third round.
He could be your running wider steeple.
One. I don't care.
I think he's good enough to be able to just keep everyone involved.
He is their number one wide receiver on this team.
No matter who the quarterback is next year, I think you have to take him.
I'd say maybe the lead third round now because of the quarterback situation, but I think you the third round guy who could bite you without water tuber one roll or, if you want to work cheaper to market open but talking about Mike Williams because he seems to be the bigger Kennedy of no Mike Williams the last couple of years now.
And no, he was burgled.
Guy had, you know, 10,000 last year.
You know, we're efficient with this passes, you know, and that 36 catches last year.
But he was a guy primed to be a big 1408 touchdown kind of guy this season at over 1000 yards, finally, for the first time in his career.
But he had two touchdowns, all your guards and I think was three touchdowns, actually, three touchdowns all season.
So it was It was very interesting to see what he was able to do early on because he was he was pretty bad guys.
I mean, it was wider issue 54 1st half of the season, and, uh, a lot of people dropped him like Midi admit season, and it was just like Mike Williams is just not the guy we want right now.
And then the offense, according to switch, and this was big.
This was a really big this charge team, this offense, according to switch, because he's coming back next year and he played much better in second half.
They really made an effort to get him the ball more.
He finished the top wires 30 wide of super there and second half this season, and that's what you got is two touchdowns.
His heir yards picked up from 16 to 25 under this new weapons corner, so they were able to throw the ball downfield more.
And Tyra Keller is a quarterback next year.
He had a year he was playing with, like Sammy walk ins, that bigger guy.
Get down the field quick.
Mike Williams has the potential to do that as well.
So, you know, he made, you know, Sammy walk ins, 1000 route receiver and six touchdowns back then it in this drawer in his rookie season.
So you know my plane is still someone we want to take.
I think he's a solid.
I think he's around seven round a guy right now.
Things could change about that.
This offensive line is a key factor in how this whole team kind of plays out.
I didn't really match them too much in the running back for, but their offensive line was pretty bad last year.
So if they get that kind of going this coming here, that could really change a lot of things.
But he, Mike Williams, I think he's a solid.
We know he's around seven guy, he's got that touchdown outside.
He's got a yard that he did the upside to be a 1400 yard receiver and six touchdown based office.
You know, his physical ability and the talent that he does possess that we've seen glimpses off, but not as consistent but glimpses off.
So Mike Williams, fantastic candidate, uh, going into next year.
I last but not least, system Hell, you in position, guys.
And so about 100 100 contradictory.
Got what? Any, uh, he's a free agent as well, and if he doesn't come back, if he doesn't, he's got some good options out there.
But I think the Turks will try to get him back, and so he comes back.
What kind of value? This process for us advance terrible.
Well, obviously, the top eight title for short.
No doubt about it. He's a top, a tight end.
He was a dominant after he was injured early on season at me.
He he only played one game under 60.
He hasn't played a game under 616 yard games.
He's played a 16 card game, 16 yard, a 16 game season.
Get guys, I'm sorry, Uh, isn't that a 16 game season yet? And that's football.
But he's been productive every single year.
He's kind of improved Every single year is a dangerous red zone guy who I could get those touchdowns early on.
And I think if you're looking for a tight end next year's draft, you have to see what you have seen 100 100 this past year, and he's just too good to pass up.
I think you need to get him on your fancy teams and is long as he's there, you know, you sell Tyrod Taylor, especially Tyra fails a quarterback.
We've seen him make.
Guys like Charles might be very productive back in the days of Buffalo.
So, you know, you wanna look in Hunter.
Henry of Tyrone has started.
He could be a tight end.
You're kind of jumps that next year with Tyrod Taylor at the home.
So Hunter Henry is another guy who I think he's in around seven around eight.
And you could just scoop up and your started for the whole season.
So Well, I like him better, though, if he stays in San Diego, Huh? I mean, if he goes to Green Bay or you know someone who's at a more franchise quarterback, things could be different.
Maybe he no, he signs with the Colts and deliver those there.
I would be used.
But that is the end of the rest of the A F c West, Part two guys.
Thank you guys for listening in tonight.
Appreciate you guys.
Anyone jumping on and listen to what I have to say always like hearing some great things out there.
I will be back on tomorrow night, actually, to talk about my, uh, my you're to work.
He's heading into 2020.
Uh, what? Their rankings on wedding project them to be what we saw early on.
So I think you guys listening tonight and enjoy the rest of your Sundays, and I will see you guys on tomorrow night.
