All right, Matty, you're, uh, woo Your periscope should be.
Look at your cheery little look at your I guess it's on my her The postgame stream explanation thistles my content at night.
My I'm making unwholesome content.
York e I didn't know it was gonna be a loss or win.
And I titled these things really so that I don't forget to do it and haven't say like, Nets Jazz from two months ago Way.
All right, that's that's that.
Well, then that was great.
Uh, yeah, that was really something.
Who did it, boys? Yeah, we got through waist.
I think we sat around for about I would say, Who is that good? 20 minutes of us Just not really saying anything would be grunting a little bit because we're all on different.
Um, Think we're watching different feeds of it, So yeah.
Yeah, that was really watching the life coming in.
Let's see who's here.
Thanks for watching guys.
I appreciate you guys.
Thanks for being here.
Um, you guys, are we ready for a fire filter? Oh, you ready? 24.
The filter is fire.
There's a fire ass loss with sweet did it, boys? Um, well, I mean, okay.
Do you wanna do silver linings or do we want it? We want to get it out.
Just one ****ing noted for a second.
Mike, how are you feeling? Give it to me.
Um, I honestly, I can't tell you really how I feel because it's like this all There's so many emotions tied into the Kyrie.
Things like the game itself just feels it would have been nice to get the win.
Because emotionally, you're like, OK, this team obviously can be, You know, the Sixers, despite all their issues or one of the best home teams in the NBA.
Actually, that probably be best in terms of record.
And besides the Bucks, I guess I don't know.
They only have two losses at home.
D'oh! You like, if they would have won this game.
Wow, What a great feeling.
Everyone's super happy.
We're all vibing. Great.
And Laverty, who shot Paul was a 29 times a win.
Would it just felt different.
It would have been like, Oh, this vindication that this Kyrie lists Maybe Katie Less team that could keep winning basketball games.
But, um, then they lose and they lose the typical way, which is, like, really like ugly end of game possessions.
So I'm feeling a dour towers.
My feeling is that it's appropriate feelings that where you're like sitting in in your car, are you? You've been ejected out of your house.
Thinks things are going bad.
My just everyone does.
I am. I am sitting in the car.
I'm in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
Come find me if you hear anyone with a security guard party.
Why? I thought I was gonna get got cuffed and put into the back of the security car.
So I feel very net.
See, right now, just like not in a completely safe position.
Where's your head at? You had a lot of grunts and bums.
Got final possessions there.
I mean, I felt like they could have called.
There could have been a time out at the very end of that game, especially those final two minutes.
And then I feel like because they didn't really call a time out.
That kind of explains the whole, like, only scoring for this for, uh, three points from the two minute mark of the fourth quarter.
Londo tee shots? Yes.
So that's kind of problematic.
I feel like that was there needed to be a stoppage in time.
She kind of, like, settle everybody down because there were just so many of these, like, awful, awful, like, You know, I'm fine with taking midrange shot that they're open.
But if you're doing, like, step backs, you know, off, like, certainly ate dribbles from your two main creators, like no riel motion beforehand, then that's obviously not great.
So yeah, um, pretty classic game. They're like the gate.
That game felt like it was like, three hours like there were so many story arts and that DeAndre Jordan went from like the, uh went from an elite, all en bas center to a slow told Janet about a span of two and 1/2 hours.
So there's a lot to launch a process that cares turned back into a pumpkin.
Yeah, it was great.
Yeah, which is a Cinderella reference for all you kids out there that the central is on everyone's mind right now.
Um, it's, uh Let's for all you streamers now.
Emotionally, where's your head? at right now? Um, I'm dead inside.
You know, that's that's our deal.
Um, I'm in that blissful, you know, dispassionate place.
Um, trying to get to you.
Cem, Cem chat here.
What's up, everybody? Thanks for, um, hanging out cheating? A So you doodling thio? Tom remixed some old friends and new friends.
Um, Chubu, a Brooklyn.
Merle says do This is sickening.
Spencer needs to relax.
He cost us this game.
He needs to put the ball on, carries his hand and get out of the way.
Um, so interesting.
Take, um I don't necessarily trust either of those two.
D'oh! I'm assuming this is this is crunch time we're talking about, um, here's the thing.
I think like the way that I sort of think about the difference between those two players.
Sort of, um I have, like, a couple of plays in mind, just like Spencer Dinwiddie doing a give and go with the under Jordan, where he is the Gore and the really smart and sort of off beat plays that just like work and he's got this obviously got more chemistry with the under Jordan and you know, he's got more chemistry with everyone that Caris Levert has with with anyone at this point cares individually is, is doing interesting things and and playing, trying to ascend to the star level, whatever, obviously, like seizing this moment.
He knows that he's got 29 games to, um, like be a real meaningful part of this Nets future for this blissful utopian.
That's future next year.
Um, and I think he's really playing pulling up to the volume of that kind of thing.
Um, but I would love to see him like I always say, Like, you know, like That's just like a smart thing.
That's mentors that does to get a quick basket.
I never see a quick, little easy thing for cares.
Just get a basket.
Everything is so labored, so arduous.
You feel like I can feel him.
I feel sweaty just watching.
That's how it, um, But I'm just I'm just sweating out anyways, So that's sort of how I feel about this.
Not to say that I don't want Laverne shooting the ball in crunch time over dinner because I think I agree with you.
But, um, that's it's maybe 6 to 1/2 a dozen for May.
Yeah, and It's like it's really so.
There's a big story that Michael Lee wrote for the athletic, about caress avert that came out.
I think like during this game, which is basically care subverts, I'm ready to take on this burden.
Thio be the guy that leads the ***** liver.
It had been obviously playing really well leading into the All Star break, but as you said, Brian, it's it becomes such when he's off it, it's really apparent, and it feels really, like tough to watch because he he doesn't have this leg.
He's obviously athletic, but his games also herky jerky.
So when he's herky jerky and slipping and sliding all over the place, um, it's just like he just looks like again a deer on ice and not like the graceful gazelle that we all I have known in love in the good lover.
So it's just I mean again, this game went over time.
The Nets really were stupor close to winning.
Obviously, that's a little kind of point of overtime.
Um, the you know, Matt, I don't know what you thought.
I remember hearing your reaction to that final possession.
The den woody in terms in regulation didn't would be driving.
Who passing off to Wilson Chandler, I got I think that was the right play.
The mean Wilson Chandler was open at the hoop, and if he just just goes up with all of his might that he has stored inside of his body, I think he either gets fouled or gets the bucket.
But instead he delays, tries to go into the hoop and gets blocked by indeed.
But I think you thought that it was not the most the fission way to really have the final game possession.
I mean, it was just like I felt like there was the right play in there somewhere.
Like I think that it based on I have to go back and look at how much space he had.
But it felt like he had room to do the floater and find a few.
If you see on being committing, then, yeah, addition, often them.
But then, like, kind of compounding upon that Wilson Chandler just didn't go up with it.
Like if he got up with it right when he got the ball.
Which again, like, you know, we're like, we're asking these guys to make these lightning quick decisions in real time with the pressure.
But you know, the game essentially ending.
But you know, if he'd gone up with a, I think he would have run contact because be kind of, like, came in overhead or be he would have slipped in the layout.
But, I mean, you know, it's just like it felt like everything was like 1/2 2nd too late. Like both.
You know, Jen Woody's original, I guess.
Decision to drip to drop it off the Chandler.
And then you know, Chandler's actual shot or attempted shot.
I guess I should say you don't have calculated Oh, you know what a Super didn't want to hear on the broadcast tonight was, uh, the Sixers are missing Ben Simmons.
They're missing his defensive presence there, missing his transition offense.
You know, I super didn't want to hear that tonight because we also received the news today that Kyrie Irving is done for the season, which also probably ripple effects.
100% means Kevin Durant ain't coming back this season.
So forgive me that if I'm if I'm unsympathetic to the fact that poor little Ben Simmons has some back spasms and that unfortunately for the Sixers, that's why their offense was so disjointed in the first half.
I apologize that my feeling wasn't sympathy, but it was a shrug of the shoulders because in Nets land, I'm living in a scenario where, for the final, what, 29 games of the year, the Nets are Kyrie and Katie less so.
I don't really give a crap that.
Oh no, that What? This is why the Sixers offenses in playing that well because they don't have Ben Simmons in there.
Oh, that's why the defense.
That's why the Nets could attack them so easily in the first half.
Because Benson's of there.
I don't want to hear it.
Don't talk to me, don't I? E you put it on Twitter like you commute certain topics and appearing on your feet.
I want that for commentating when I'm watching non yes, net broadcasted games where I don't want to hear about injuries about another team.
Just don't I don't care.
Doesn't bother like don't tell me about it.
Don't bring that energy into my ears.
I only want to want to hear um, how disadvantaged the nets are and how plucky this group is for ever even trying to compete without their horses who are currently in the stable being mended for broken limbs.
It's, Ah, I'm bitter.
I think it's another feeling I'm dour better.
Well, let's see if this cures your your ales.
Um, but your boy Dear Oxes Wilson Chandler defends well, but he's a negative on offense.
Cure X is the answer.
Agree or disagree? Hot takes only fire.
Emoji is everywhere.
That shed in Chandler's been good.
I was looking at his shooting stats, and he's basically shooting like 50% or better from, like the left corner and word.
I think he's even like 70% from the rim.
So I think he's been like, relatively surprising defensively.
And then tonight was a really good example.
He's just like a smart defender, the way he was actually successfully digging at at MBI the posts and like really causing, you know, light turn over action.
I don't know, like I really almost like their problem right now is they have two guys that I think should probably play with fireworks and in Chandler and like I'm almost having like second doubts where I guess like second thoughts.
Um, for the first time this year, about the four position, they almost look there, staffed a little too much in that.
Yeah, I think they could probably planet the three like corks.
I would say, um, so a raid Durant.
Now, is that what you're saying? That they should get rid of Kevin Durant now, because they're who stacked at the four clear room for roadie.
That's never gonna see the light of day.
And then just like getting him used to the fact that he's never gonna get off the bench, Kevin Durant comes.
There are a few questions that, you know, maybe bigger picture about.
Like like, should the Nets even, you know, how much should they invest in actually playing younger players right now? Because we know for a fact that Katie and I, we are gonna play this season all that type of stuff, right? It even beyond that, it still doesn't really make all that much sense That rodeos corrupts isn't planning at all beyond that, the only reason why he's not playing is that truly, uh, Sean March and the whole front office don't feel all that investigated him in the moment and that Kenny Atkinson can't trust him out there.
For whatever reason, there seems to be nothing that could happen in the moment right now.
Maybe that will change.
That would give Reince groups minutes.
You would think again, with definitive nature of the fact that Kyrie won't playing.
Katie likely won't play that rodeo.
Maybe he's one of the guys I would pick out that I want to see get minutes more than loose like I want.
I want to see where the screws back on the floor and it's not happening.
Um, so you see something in Chad here? Tom remixed great.
Um, thoughts on Kenny's new haircut.
****y Steve Curse.
Her cut looks a little more snappy.
I don't know why I'm even glancing at this awesome Rockets Warriors game.
And what is that? What is a God? He's got a tight crew cut.
Yeah, he's really he's got like, a military cutter now.
Does he look like the t one the t 1000? Um, that's sort of how I think it looks already.
Kenny Atkinson's hair look pretty slick. I don't know I like.
I like that he's still doing a tight suit, Um, with, like, you know, I like.
I like the appearance of him next to Brad Stevens Stevens looking like a child's like a CZ, a prom just swimming in an ill fitting suit and that the bangs just treated just lately traipsed over is This is bad? It's bad looking.
I liked how neatly put together Kenny Atkinson.
This has slicked back is have you ever seen? I think there's like some of those, like America's got talent shows or whatever.
There's those sort of performance artists that, like attach hooks, tear their back and, like they hang from the ceiling with, like literal hooks seemingly on the back, pulling their skin.
And I feel like that's the way Kenny Atkinson sleeps because he is the tightest skin on his face off.
Any coach giving into the personal wicked skinny correctly says, Of course, Mike raise the hair comment, likes exiting through a wall of text, finding the hair comment.
Uh, the only way to scout players.
Yeah, Do we want to talk about, like, bigger picture stuff like this painful meet? I don't know how, like if we want to get all the way down into this hole.
But, Mike, you had a tweet earlier about, um, the tanking truthers making the playoffs, not making the playoffs? Is this something that we're going to want to address? A dollar? We're just gonna not just sweep it away.
Let's address it head on.
I'm attacking the taking troopers.
Um, I understand your position.
Taking truth is being.
If the Nets were to not make the playoffs, the Nets would then received back the first round pick that is now heading to Minnesota.
It's a top 14 protected, so the Nets would get it if they don't make the playoffs.
Yes, that would be valuable to have another first round pick they could have.
They will have the six years, first round pick, and then they would have this one, too.
So you have basically two picks and within six so picks in the first round.
Yes, that's valuable.
I think what's more valuable is trying to put this group of care subverts monster Dunwoody, Joe here's Torey imprints and Jared Allen into the playoffs.
Yes, they make it swept by Toronto or Miami or the Bucks.
If the Nets slipped down to the eighth seed.
I would rather, though, just given that experience, let's see what happens is put him out there.
Um who you know, there's gonna be value, You know so much.
What's been talked about in Kyrie Irving's injury is the fact that the Nets are losing data on what type of lineups are going to work next year.
The next year when Katie and Kyrie come back.
Well, you get more data by putting some of those young players in the playoffs and see how they actually do.
I would rather see that, unlike the Nets, have the 14th pick the draft.
Yes, I understand that could be, you know, it could honestly be the next Johannes, where Johannes was after the choir, wherever whoever you want to say.
But it also could be the next Jarvis Hayes for, um, Marshon Brooks.
That's the first, you know, like so we all can overrate that 14th pick, and I maybe I'm underrating it, but I would rather the Nets make the playoffs.
I think it's more important for the grand scheme of things and to think like taking this team, it would damage this team's image, momentum, all that stuff if they just suddenly started to tank the season.
Well, it also gives you an idea of, Like, who? What? I guess, like what the individual guys look like in a playoff series.
Like I know that stuff will change.
You guys will be in such significant roles when you have Durant and Kyrie back.
But But you have these get a semblance of Oh, this is how this team's in a guard prince from three.
Joe Harris is we saw last year.
Look, I do think you'll kind of get a better idea of, you know, even how, like other teams guard their pick and roll like, Are they gonna drop on them and kind of take away that pick and roll off game? Or, you know, I think there is value in that, and you can steam off that from there, even if it is without your two best players.
Yeah, I'll say, like a silver lining Rose, Rose glasses on and everything, um, I there is a the Kyrie Irving situation this year was becoming a little bit toxic in general, and so, like, health aside, whatever, like obviously like, you know, That's like taking that out of the conversation.
Um, I don't think that they're sealing was especially high with him in the lineup.
It didn't seem to be helping any of the headlines or one of those, like the viable certain of the team, um, have him playing some of the time and then not reaching any kind of like greater heights for it.
And maybe even like throwing in a very, you know, high usage superstar player.
That's like, You know, it takes a lot of sort of consideration to do that.
If nothing else, this makes the rest of the season pretty easy going.
You know, like health concerns aside like, obviously, you want to make sure that this isn't a recurring thing.
All that it does make this you just slide neatly into next year in a very not confusing way.
Yeah, and like some mad you were saying you had a really good point about like learning about individual players in the playoffs.
They think it actually gets in pubs because it you know, it's not a strew thing, right, Like it's very conceivable that they could slip out.
But we're going to learn now that Carrie is under percent out.
That who cares? Avert is like there's almost no more excuse for care silvered ending up in these final 29 games or so I think we're gonna learn how good or not as great that he is.
I think I already kind of know what Spencer did, what he is, right.
I think we all we all know that he is, at the very least you know, like one of the best bench guards in the MBA and had his ceiling.
He's definitely a starting point guard who is leading a team offensively caress of what we're gonna learn about, Um, you know, I don't really know what we're gonna learn about Taurean Prince, that we don't know.
I think he's just like erratic shooter dude who has some good games, bad games.
I want Jared Allen could continue to get minutes down low like there's a lot.
There's a lot that this team is gonna get out of my going into the playoffs, that the team wouldn't get by having a first round pick in, You know, the 14th pick overall, the one positive Daven 14th pick overall is that now the Nets have two first round picks.
Caris, Levert, Jared Allen.
It's once You didn't even make a super big trade to get you know, whoever LeBron James.
Um, I'm like LeBron James.
Thanks for hanging out today. And thanks.
Captain Marvel, sir.
Three and suddenly preach.
Sing Thinned, Sir, if I **** your name up, um, everybody else's hanging out.
Thanks for hanging out.
I'm putting on my fire filter for this one.
Laverne for Levine.
Who takes Who takes He's going for it.
That's tempting That fire that I think Chicago blocks marks extinguished My fun.
Think of a package.
What's the package look like? God, I don't, uh I don't know.
What is it? Jared Allen and caress it gets in the convent.
I don't really I don't want Sokolov, but he's He's, um, or proven player than cares.
Laverty is more technically more talented, more productive.
All that stuff like I really would have won Tak Levine.
I like thinking, though I do like I enjoy that.
That's outside the box.
We haven't really talked about.
Yeah, that ravine is a guy I can tell.
Mike wants to talk about Bradley.
Beal already just just can't see the sentence forming in his mind.
I have a delivery for church and for Chandler Parsons hospital gown with fire takes what it takes.
Um, signed worse instead of Joe.
At least he can create his own shot.
It's not chemistry right now, but I wouldn't say that.
So I would say that you like Joe Harris fits a lot better once you have your two guys.
I don't know Marx.
Marcus Morris is such a black hole to me.
Look, I know he is shooting the ball really well from three.
He's usually around like a 39 40% 3 point shooter.
But he's not the level of Joe Harris.
He defends pretty well and like a one on one defender.
You kind of get lost in team defense sometimes.
So I think I would rather stick with Joe Harris.
And I actually think Joe, here's cost.
Wait, last assume.
I'm eager to see if Morris, um, assuming this is Marcus Morris.
Yeah, is able to, like, really stay in the rotation in L. A.
I think that that's gonna be an interesting cause him.
Blake Playing big minutes on a really good team is much different than just checking you away on the Knicks.
That's a big difference.
It'll be interesting to see actual take a lover for Derek.
Wait, that's true.
Boyd darling to anyone.
Any takers? Fire filter going on.
You guys pondered deeply.
They don't know.
But I mean, I think that's just because the thing that Steve needs isn't a Derrick White.
It's actually kind of not a care Silbert.
It's It is either like a Supreme shooter defender or just like a a third star like you.
Either go all in on 1/3 store or you get like the perfect complement to a Katie Kyrie team.
And I think Derek White's a perfect complement.
So you don't give a caress avert for like another kind of combo guard who, yes, he would give a lot to your team.
You still run the same issues like, well, you wouldn't play Derrick White Tyrion Spencer altogether, but I again I appreciate the thought actually fairly blown away by the amount of trade ideas for for liver people like he's been a darling up until very recently, and the thing.
The mindset has shifted a little bit here, I can tell.
Yep, yeah, I think he came in with, like, really tough expectations of, like, all star level or bust.
So and he's playing like that's probably what he's playing.
He's really set that for himself, and he's like I refused to accept anything less.
That's maybe his issue.
If he tuned down that expectation, just a hair he'd be really hitting a really beautiful niche of like, averaging, you know, his 6 15 or 16 a game on, like, way better percentages and just being like a crafty sort of not conservative defender that, like every team could really use now again.
Yeah, that would be a way safer.
I mean, that's the conservative career that's like me.
You know, that's that's like cutting out on like the big picture stuff that that he could take it very well.
It pursues still, um, but he, uh, he's going You looking like that of Yeah, So he's going for it, And thats we're along for the right.
This last 28 games is definitely gonna be along for that right lover rip.
And the first for Levin we would be lucky if he ever turns out to be Thio going.
There's no So there's also like, I mean, maybe carrion Zach Levina like this tremendous relationship.
But every move that the Nets would have to make would have to be through the prism of like, Are these guys friends with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving? Or do they like? Or there's some respect in that game that those guys would have because Ker Silver it is friends with Kevin Durant from what we understand and caress is like one of the small factors that made Kevin Durant actually want to come to Brooklyn.
So to trade him away or to trade Spencer did would be a way which now is a very close relationship with Kyrie.
Irving, you're gonna have your enoughto like kind of bowl over Kyrie or K D to be like, this is why we're trading your friends for someone else because they can do so much for this team.
Um, that so I don't think Zach Levi secondly, doesn't seem to be like like a magnet for stars.
He just seems like kind of a do that likes to shoot on boat balls, you know? Sounds like a tight team.
May I'm looking.
So here's one for Gallo talking about Gallo.
Jamal Murray's names getting through around out here.
And I know, I know you guys both have talked about Gallo in the past, Murray, so I could get into Gallo.
I even was like I could I wish his contract was a little bit shorter, but I could get myself into it.
Like Kevin Love.
You know, it's like, like now realizing that the whole rest of the season is just going to talk about trade packages.
Yeah, I just realized.
Holy ****, that's all we're gonna be able to talk about.
I don't want to, like, give in, like, look through.
I haven't really even look through the free agent class this year.
I tried to hold out until, uh until, like, I guess maybe last couple of weeks of April and, like, try to give an idea.
But what do you think about it? Like I could look it.
See this veil? I know it's not good, and I just I don't want to give up.
My God, I wanted, like, obviously not gonna do anything in the playoffs.
I just don't want Oh to get into that owner gonna win the championship this year.
Mike, I know that Mike is quietly thankful about this whole Kyrie situation cause he was prepared to die on Kevin Durant is playing the season Hill, and it was gonna be a gruesome death.
Lonely death everyone would have destroyed.
I mean, because I've been have been, like, passive about my thoughts about Kevin Durant.
I've been active.
I e aggressive, even was I feel like I know what everyone says.
His mom says he's not coming back a social Marxism reckoned.
Kevin Durant himself says he's not coming back. He's coming back.
And now I could be like, Well, uh, now is not that it's kind reason I felt like I was watching The Mothman Prophecies and your Richard Gere just talking about this bridge falling down, you know? You know, even you guys know that reference.
Um, well, there's gonna be plenty more.
We should think about some other story lines, the in preparation for the rest of the season, because, I mean, we will We will slowly wilt away if we have to continue to talk about trade packages.
Oh, uh, we'll just we'll just doing for, like, really? It's like, top notch top 20 guys, just like only only the most unrealistic trade package was here.
It'll be like a Yeah.
I think that's gonna be how we handle this.
I got to say, it seems like Paul George is attainable because he never wants to be on the team.
He's actually on No, Paul George.
He constantly gets, he gets traded and then says he wants to be there for life and then gets traded the next year because he says he wants me somewhere else.
So maybe Kevin Durant.
Eric improvements have become the Brooklyn from here we'll drink.
And the hired gun.
I'm sure Lawrence Frank would love to facilitate trade with Brooklyn.
That's I know they have traded before, but I'm saying that, um, Mike Yes, Well, either way, uh, in my interview with I and Eagle guys buy gas.
Uh, an eagle talks about Lawrence Frank trying to poach him to become the Clippers broadcaster.
Know Kida a fun little story that I was a little trick that little that little, uh, got a little poacher.
He's like a real power broker.
It's kind of crazy to think about, like from where he started the kind of the story line about him.
And now he's, you know, the lead exec for this team that may win a championship.
So, Lawrence, Frank, come on this room with us whenever you want.
Somebody Adam on Twitter came in here.
So we're gonna be starting tomorrow at 2 p.
We're gonna finally do that.
Rockets Lakers game from two extended.
That I think is basically signal very relevant.
A massive shift in the thinking of basketball and would be interesting to take another look at.
We're gonna do some serious like this.
Just watching games. It's not.
Everyone can digest whole all these games.
They have somebody games.
So we're gonna go back.
We gotta think about a snappy name for this.
We're gonna call dio like like, significant.
I think it's significant.
Okay, so watch ever significant ****ysis.
Closer looks, uh, tomorrow tha Thanks for hanging last words, Mike. Shut up.
What you got? Um, the nets again with the championship.
Um, I'm gonna write a best selling book.
And Katie's coming back this season.
Three things are happening.
Article coming out tomorrow, Me on a nets daily.
Just hit puberty.
Ah, uh, nice little voice.
That's That's what you're looking for? Um, yeah. Read me.
I have a thing going that actually has been rendered a completely useless by how good? TLC and Chandler.
Whom? Worse tonight.
Yeah, it's all in, like the younger guys.
I did, like a little more like stats.
A deep dive on film things.
Yeah. Sounds significant.
Thanks for hanging out already.
We're gonna boogie.
Um, see you guys next time.
