Nick's family was popping is your boy? I'm glad to be back.
In effect, ladies and gentlemen, Spinner seemed like a kind of, ah long, long wow All star break, but net neither here nor there.
We are back in effect, only 27 games or something like that.
Left to the season, we're gonna see what the Knicks on what they do, what the strategy is for the remainder of the season.
You know, saying Aladdin, Saddam, You said you listen all the way from Kansas City, Missouri.
I appreciate you, my brother.
Thank you for listening then, man.
But we're gonna see what the next do you know? What's the strategy? Now the All Star break is finally dawns over with stick wicked films A cynical, wicked films appreciating my friend Gamow Triple G set with you guys.
But what's the strategy now? After the All Star break, 27 games left to the season? No doubt about it in my mind of your mind or anybody else's mind, and it's most likely not gonna be in the playoffs.
How does Mike Miller approach the season? How does Mike Miller deal with everything that's going to be going on from now to the end of the season.
As far as you know who's gonna be the coach of the New York Knicks? You know who are the Knicks, you know, looking at Who is Leon Rose looking at Steve Stout? James stolen all of that stuff.
All it asks, though, You know, saying, Whoa, what's the deal with it? I mean, so far, it seems like Mike Miller.
He's done a decent job deal with all of this stuff, you know, saying Listen, what he does is he keeps it to basketball.
Ladies and gentlemen, it keeps it to basketball.
That's what I respect about that guy.
He just keeps it to basketball.
No matter what is going on, it's focuses on basketball.
And look, that's what I think we need.
Like it or not, you might love Mike Miller.
You might be a super duper Mike Miller fan.
You might be a super duper Mark Jackson fan or Tom Thibodeau fan, and I'm not coming down to either one of those guys.
I'm just saying, I think we need whoever is gonna be the new the new culture, the New York Knicks or remain the culture.
New York Knicks needs to be somebody which is focuses on basketball.
Not all the other hogwash that combs with being a professional athlete in New York.
It's not easy to not deal with that stuff, but Mike Miller has done a good job so far. We'll see.
Let's get this thing rolling, Ladies and gentlemen, glad to be back.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are back in effect.
The Knicks take on the Indiana Pacers tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 p.m.
The Indiana Pacers.
You already know they rented the winning during a playoff race.
Ladies and gentlemen, they are in a playoff race.
They want to be in the playoffs, so it's gonna be a battle, you know? They're coming.
Listen, they're already in the playoffs.
You know, the Indiana Pacers, Right now on the season, Ladies and gentlemen of the six spot in the Eastern Conference to 30 to win 23.
We're gonna talk about their winning streak and what they are in the last five games and all that kind of stuff.
They're actually 37 in the last 10 games, but there's six spot in the six spot the two games out of the fifth spot.
Three games added 1/4 spot.
You better believe they want to try the battle and get that fourth spot, because in that fourth spot, that's what you got.
Home court advantage.
Yeah, that fourth spot you'd probably be playing either.
The Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76 years.
Tough matchup, Tough battle, maybe even in Toronto Raptors.
I doubt it. So I unwrapped it.
They're hot 91 in the last 10 games, but Indiana is fighting and battling for a playoff spot, ladies and gentlemen, so the Knicks have got to come with it.
We're gonna talk about some strategies, but the Knicks got to come with it.
Let's break this down, ladies in town, projected starters for the New York Knicks.
Frank Miller, Kino.
I'm sorry, and term head coaches Mike Miller.
You know that already.
But the projected starters for the New York Mrs Frank Miller, Kina R.
Barrett, Reggie Bullock, Julius Randle and Tides.
Gibson Elford paying.
He's out with a ankle.
Well, I'm not going to say is out, but he's questionable with an ankle.
Wayne Ellington is also questionable with an ankle, so we'll see, we'll see what happens.
I'm not too worried about Wayne Ellington.
I'm not worried about that at all. L for paying.
You know he's a point guard.
You're gonna have front allocated and then the Smith Jr.
So we'll see how that goes for the Indiana Pacers.
Nate McMillan is the head coach, the projected starters.
A Malcolm Project victim.
All the Depot is only seven games into the season, all right, just seven games into the season.
So he's still getting warmed up.
He's still getting ready and one of the goals for the Indiana Pacers.
It's gonna be to get Victor only deep, all ready for the playoffs.
Sweaty day goals.
What perfect time.
It's a more night.
Boston New York Knicks ladies in jail anyway, shouldn't God is Victor Older Depot Small forward.
Powerful with the mantra.
Sabonis all start the Montecito bonus.
Then that centres Miles Toner now T. J. Warren Warren.
He is a game time decision with a back injury, so we'll see what happens tomorrow night.
But those are the projected starters for tomorrow night.
All right, let's take a look at some of the key matchups or I'm sorry, the team comparison.
Let me not get ahead of myself.
I'm excited because we're finally back in the building.
Get things going, so I'm a little bit excited.
But school? It's like a team comparison.
The Knicks, 17 38 on this season on a two game losing streak, the average 104.
8 points per game.
They gave up 111.
7 points per game.
They shoot 44% from the field, the 33.
4% from three and issued 46.5.
I'm sorry they don't shoot 46.
5% from rebounds.
They grabbed 46.
5 rebounds per game and the average 21.
7 assists the average 14.
3 turnovers per game.
The offensive ratings, one of 4.
9 that's 29th in the league and their defense of rating is 1 11.
8 And remember, ladies and gentlemen, that is overall for the entirety of the season, right? The last five games, you see, it's a little bit different.
These two teams actually kind of flip and the first spots the last five games, the last two games for the next terrible.
But anyway, we'll talk about that.
Indiana Pacers, as mentioned before the 30 to 1 23 on this season.
If one they won the last game I.
The average 109.
7 points per game.
They give up more 107.
6 points per game.
8% from the field, 36.6% from three.
They grabbed 42.
5 rebounds per game.
2 assists per game in 12.
9 turnovers per game.
The offensive rating is 1 10 point to that 16th in the league, and their defense of ratings wanna wait? 10.
1? That's 11th in the league.
But look, since Victor Oladipo has been back, it's been a little bit different.
I spent a little bit different.
They've been I don't know if I want to say struggling, but they're working.
Victor Oladipo back into the system back into the lineup.
He's bad being a starter now, eyes back being a starter.
But you know he's still got some work to do the work himself in and you'll see as we look at the um as we take a look at all of the numbers behind player comparisons and key players and stuff like that.
Victor Oladipo still has some work to do to get himself back in the rhythm, and the Knicks are good.
I mean, the Pacers are gonna be looking to get Victor older Depot ladies and gentlemen back in Riddle.
I don't want it to happen against the Knicks, and I know there's a lot of people is like what we need a tank and Bob about good, good for you.
Good for you. You must take good.
I don't want to see it happen against the Knicks, so it is what it takes.
But that's what the numbers are.
That's the team comparison.
The last five games, though, is a bit different.
Bit different, these two teams as a kind of reverse roles the last five games the last five games, Nixon, 32 now the next the last three games for the next.
They got beat by the Orlando, but by the Atlanta Hawks.
Then they got beat by the Washington Wizards right there.
Lost to the Hawks.
What 1 35 to 1 40 and they lost to the Wizards won 14 90 sixties in the last two games before the All Star break.
That last game against the Wizards, you could see the Knicks just kind of check out.
They checked out when he checked into the hotel, checked out of the Garden, checked into a hotel.
But anyway, the three and two in the last five games all right, the average over the last five games, 114 points per game.
They give up 116.6.
Look, they gave up 142.
They gave up 114 to the Wizards.
Previous to that, they gave up 92 to the Pistons.
They gave up 103 to the Magic.
They gave up 1 34 to the Cavaliers.
Now they won those previous three games.
They beat the Cavaliers, won 39 to 1 34 They beat the Magic 105 to 103 Then they beat the Pistons 95 to 92 on.
That was part of a four game win streak in.
Before that, they beat the Pacers 90 to 85 so that makes us see they can start another four game win streak.
We'll start another win streak with the Indiana Pacers in, and the Pacers are gonna you know, it's a revenge game for them.
One back is they know that they're not supposed to lose to the Knicks, not up there in a playoff spot.
And I supposed to lose to the Knicks.
The Knicks, over the last five games of shooting 47.
4% from the field, shooting 32% from three.
They grabbed 48 rebounds per game.
6 assists per game in the average of 16.
2 turnovers per game.
Their offensive ratings wanna wait 0.4.
That's 24th in the league, and their defense of rating is 1 10.
8 That's 10th in the league, and like I said, these two teams kind of flip roles.
They kind of reverse it, you know, saying a kind of reverse it just a little bit in the last five games, because the Indiana Pacers, one of four in the last five games, remember Victor Oladipo has been back about seven games, all right, so you know there's an adjustment period there, The average in 112.
8 points per game.
They give up 115 points per game.
So over the last five games, these two teams that kind of playing the same type of basketball, they shoot 50.
3% from the field, the average and is shooting 34.
6% from three the average 42 rebounds a game.
So the Knicks need to dominate the glass.
It should be able to dominate the glass, even though the market's a bonus.
You know, Sabonis is a hell of a rebound, and you're going to see it as we look over the, you know, player comparisons and all of that.
The month it's a bonus is a hell of a rebound.
The Pacers average 27.
2 assists per game in the average 15 turnovers game.
The offensive rating is 1 11.
5 That's 18th in the league, and their defense of Reading is 1 14.
3 That's 22nd in the league.
Listen, I'm chopping it all up that you know that the Pacers air up and down a little bit throughout the season, in the 32 23 on the season.
Um, but Victor Oladipo coming back, They got a lotta work and they're trying to get him ready for the playoffs.
That's the ultimate goal.
Now, when you come down to this point of the season, now is when you're going to see some real basketball.
Ladies and gentlemen, you know, for the next what's this February For the next month, month and 1/2 you're going to see some real basketball as teams.
A fighting for playoff spots.
Let's take a look at the key matchups.
The first key matchup is Victor Oladipo and R.
Barrett, coming off of a very nice game at the Rising Stars, you know, he had 27.6.
Sissy had five rebounds, owes 27 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Said it backwards.
So hopefully it's coming into this game with some confidence.
R. J Bear. He's 66 to 14.
He's averaging 13.
6 points but gained 5.
1 rebounds per game, 2.
4 assists per game of one steel.
8% from the field and 31.
Victor Oladipo just seven games into the 19 24,020 season, just seven games in 64 to 13.
He's averaging 11.
1 points per game, two rebounds per game, 2.
9 assists per game in just under one steel per game, only shooting 32.
9% from the field in 24.
He is starting, and he's trying to work itself in.
We don't want him.
Do it against the Knicks.
Are jailbirds got a task in front of him? You know, Victor, all the Depot is getting its body back in shape.
It's up to R. J. Barrett.
Listen, you know, every player goes still.
You know, every bookie goes to a little rookie wall type of thing.
You know, I'm saying maybe hit the rookie war a little bit.
Barrett did earlier in the season.
Hey, looked a little bit refreshed after his, you know, he came, you know, he had an ankle injury and then he came back struggle a little bit, start to look a little bit fresh, you know.
Now he's had another week off.
So maybe it's coming in your fresh re energized R J bird I'm talking about.
Hopefully, the tired next squad is coming back a little more energized.
They had some time to practice, like, really practice.
I don't know how much they did.
Mike Miller probably gave him a couple days off, going take total.
You know, go take their wives on vacation somewhere.
Wives, girlfriends or, you know, just chill with your family, Take a moment, cases somewhere, do whatever, then came back for a couple of days of practice.
I want to see what they look like.
They better look better because they gotta look better because they look bad in that Wizards game.
It looked it was bad.
Memory lost 1 14 96 But they checked out there mentally and physically checked out of the game, the R J beds refreshed.
Piccoli Depot, you know, played seven games.
They've got a chance to really practice with the team over the All Star break, so there's a chance that he could look good against the Knicks tomorrow night.
He hasn't really look good so far since he's been back.
There's a chance that he could look good.
We'll see my next key matchup.
The Montecito bonus versus Julius Randle.
How much would it play against each other? We'll see.
They will, you know.
Against the modest bonus the Knicks are going to switch off Taj Gibson.
You know, probably those two guys.
We'll see time on the Montecito bonus to my disappointment.
6 11 to 40 averaged 18.
3 points per game, 12.
5 rebounds per game average is 4.
8 assists per game in just under one.
Still, the game, he shoots 40 54.
1% from the field and issues 22.
We're not worried about the three ball.
We're worried about what he does around the basket.
He's a beast around the basket.
He rebounds the ball.
5 rebounds a game and he could score the ball around the basket.
You know, it's got nice post move.
Good footwork, you know, Nice post moves.
And he has good footwork as a nice touch around the rim, you know? So we gotta play some defense on that guy.
No doubt about it.
Gotta play some defense on that guy.
Julius Randle, 68 to 50 averages 19.
3 points per game, 9.
6 rebounds per game.
Three point to assist Justin.
The one steel per game I shooting 45.
5% from the field in 26.
You know, we're gonna need Julius Randle.
Step up, play some defense.
You know, people complain about his defense and everything else, leadership skills and all of that.
We just need them to step up tonight.
I'm just focused on tonight.
Let's all tomorrow night.
I wouldn't even play some defense against the Montecito Bones.
I feel like the Knicks just match up well against the Pacers.
The first game that we played, the Pacers.
It's close game, right? I think Mike Miller just taken over or was just about to take over. Whatever it was.
Think Mike Miller had just taken over was a close game.
We lost it, but it was a good one.
We were with the Indiana just a couple days ago.
Couple weeks ago, we could go whatever it was and we won.
Right now we're gonna see if we can come back to the Garden and get another win.
I feel like we just match up.
Well, you know, there's some teams that you just match up well with.
You know, sometimes you're gonna have a team that is a championship level team.
But when they play a certain bottom feeder, they can't play well against him because that bottom feeder team just matches up well, I feel like we match up well with the Indiana Pacers.
There's gonna be a good game.
Can we pull it out? We'll see.
Let's talk strategy a little bit.
Some of the keys to the game.
We got to get back to playing some defense our last two games, ladies and gentlemen, even though over the last five games says we're top 10 defense, whatever.
The last two games, we sucked.
We said we gave that 1 14 to the Wizards.
They could score the ball, We know that.
So maybe that was okay.
Defense because they used this score a little bit higher than that.
We gave about 1 42 The Hawks, so young went Wow, we've got to get back to playing that top 10 defense and maybe now you know, our minds a little bit refreshed.
We got over the No, the Knicks dealing with a lot of things right leading up to the All Star break.
A lot of stuff you had, what you had.
You know, Back in November, the head coach got fired, right head coach got fired.
You know, the next play.
Whatever Boom, boom, bam.
And then you president gets fired.
And then, you know, you get the world that li'i rolls is coming in.
You know, there's all this stuff going on, and this Steve style is, you know, the publicist dude or trying to change the team image.
He says What he says, Marcus Morris gets traded, which was expected.
I guess it gets traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
You got a new player more Mo Harkless comes in status stuff surrounded the next man leading up to the All Star break.
Finally, the All Star break.
Hopefully, now, after the All Star break, there's still gonna be stuff, right? It's gonna be people talking about who's gonna be the next coach.
I really wish you would die down, though.
Just let Mike Miller do its job.
for the remainder of the season.
If there's gonna be a new coach, let's talk about it, then.
Oh, you know, New York.
Listen, reporters and all that stuff going to talk about it.
I just hope that nothing's being leaked from the Knicks.
You know, to give guys an idea of this or that. The other thing.
I really would like to be quiet, just out of respect for Mike Miller.
Let Mike Miller do his job for the remainder of the time that is here, and maybe he's gonna be here after we don't know, but at least let him do his job for the remainder of the time that we're here.
But it's after the All Star break, you know, the next time, don't worry about it.
I'm not gonna be treated.
Some of the guys are gonna be worried about next year's contract.
Of course, you don't have to worry about all that stuff.
Maybe they could just play right.
It's gonna be tough, though, because justice still a lot of stuff going on out there, you know, still a lot of stuff going on, so who knows? But either way, we got to get back to playing some defense because since Mike Miller is taking over, we've played decent defense.
We got to get back to playing that decent defense.
Ladies and gentlemen, I you know, And maybe those last two games were just anomalies.
I also think we got a match, the intensity of the Indiana Pacers, because the Pacers, like I said, they're now really fighting for playoff position.
They know they're gonna be in the playoffs unless they just totally collapse.
You're gonna be in the playoffs.
You're fighting for playoff positioning.
So the games, they're gonna ratchet up a little bit.
The intensity is gonna be a little bit higher, the next guy that make sure that they match that intensity.
If not, they'll get blown to smithereens.
But they got to come out on match that intensity.
All right, Don't let Victor Older Depot get hot.
Like I said, he's only been back for seven games.
Yes, and played well, is averaging 11 points per game, shooting 30 something percent from the field, 27% 23 point line.
He wants to get going.
Indiana Pacers want to get older Depot going and want to get him going before the playoffs.
Now they got 20 something games to get it to make it happen.
But they really want to get this guy going.
I don't want it to start against.
The Knicks are J. Berry.
Gotta come out. Gotta play some defense to the job.
Uh, Jamie, uh, game, Doc, You know, you're you're going to see some time off Victor. Older Depot, maybe.
Frank Season Die.
Time on Victor, Older Depot.
All right, let's make sure that he doesn't get hot against us.
That's what I want.
Make sure he doesn't get hot now.
No open society ball is right.
The hot hand markets more saying here.
But since Marcus Morris has been gone, we've seen the next average in like 25 26 assists per game except for that Washington Wizards game.
Other than that, they've been up there and the assist the ball's been moving is you.
More guys getting shots.
The shot distribution is more widespread, so I want to see that continue the whoever's hot, that's who you get the ball to know when that dude cools down, you find somebody else when that guy cools down, you find somebody else.
So let's ride the hot hand And in spacing, right? We got to continue that spacing, spacing, spacing, spacing his key.
You know, we talked to complain all year that Marcus Morris and and, well, Julius Randle couldn't play on the floor together because of this style of play.
Well, now the old markets mostly here.
So let's see if we can get that spacing.
I don't know because Julius Randle case you r J.
Barry can't shoot out for paying.
All finally came in.
He's going to start.
It's hard to get that space.
And when you got guys who can't shoot the rock, right talks gifts. Interesting.
He's not really pulling you out.
And then when you come in with ah, Big Mitch, he's not pulling you out the paint.
Where's the space to come from? Bobby porters? You know, she was 37% from the field.
I mean, 40 feet from from the Ark.
Wayne Ellington is out game.
Doc can help space to flow a little bit sometimes.
If he's feeling a little froggy, you know he might space it a little bit, but spacing.
But spacing is not just shooting.
Spacing comes Maur.
You know it also just about where you stand on the floor.
You know, when you see somebody driving one way, where do you go? They drive the opposite.
Where do you go? Right, You said a screen where you move to.
How many? How do we avoid having three guys in one area which I've seen from this team plenty of times on plenty of the cases, I've seen three guys in one area, you know, and I'm not talking about creating to try and go.
I'm talking about three guys standing on the block together.
Understand where to be on the floor.
When? Why? How, Where and what to do when you get there.
I spacing, spacing, spacing, spacing.
You gotta figure it out down the stretch, man.
We gotta figure out what we're gonna do.
Who has the bowl? Who doesn't have a boat, right? It should be because of the type of team now we have.
It should be that they're moving the ball right? If finding the open name, that's what it should be about with this team.
But, you know, things are things things or things will see.
How do you decide to, you know, how does how this comes to be? They've had, ah, few days to practice over this All Star break.
At least I hope so, right? A few days just practice and start to figure some things out.
I'm interested to see how it looks coming down the final days of the season.
All right, The Knicks don't lean on their teams spot in Eastern Conference.
You know, there's gonna be some people that continuously mentioned playoff stuff, the necks of seven games behind.
You're not making that up 27 games very hard.
So you know you it's not worried about that.
Let's just worry about, you know, if we can see something's growing now.
I don't even know if that's worth anything, because we don't know what this team is gonna be.
We don't know who the coach is gonna be.
We don't know anything.
We'll talk about it a little bit of coaching, too.
You know Tom Thibodeau? It's been mentioned.
He's been mentioned as the prime candidate.
Right now, we'll talk about it, though we're gonna talk about wanting.
I want to finish this up.
All right, But we gotta figure it out down the stretch.
No, I'm went off into a tangent, but we gotta figure it out down the stretch.
Figure out how to do it down the stretch, ladies and gentlemen.
All right, but that right there those are my keys to the game.
That's how I see it from my point of view on what we've got to do to go out there and perform well and give ourselves a chance to pull out a victory against the Indiana Pacers.
So, ladies and gentlemen, do me a favor.
If you wantto talk, give me a call.
516452246 You want to jump into the whereby the whereby.
It's open right now whereby dot com slash and B k make sure that you join me.
And if you didn't get a chance to see next weekly last night and some of you guys probably, you know, look at the little video that was up and got a little bit upset, so I got a lot of thumbs down on it.
I put that up there just to send you over the SportsCastr because Nick's weekly is exclusively on SportsCastr.
So if you wanna watch next weekly, you got to go over the sports guy.
Still check it out.
Gotta go over there and check it out.
So while I'm waiting for a phone call or somebody jump into the whereby I'm going to do now is we're gonna take a listen to Mike Miller as he discusses the Knicks and what things just might look like after this all star break. Ladies and gentlemen.
All right, you know? Well, we'll talk about we're gonna listen to Mike Miller.
You know, he says it's a good break in all that good stuff.
You know? I like Mike Miller.
Everybody doesn't feel the same way, but anyway, ladies and gentlemen, this is next in term.
Head coach Mike Miller, I'm going to talk to us about the break.
The Knicks, about seven minutes long.
Let's go with it, folks.
Mike, How was your break? It was good.
Yeah, Good break.
Every think everybody needed some a few days toe and decompress.
Decompress a deal.
Even having have been practicing get off way.
Today was the first day.
Yeah, today was the first day back.
I think every team will be about the same today.
We need to get up and down physically.
I kind of get get their their lungs in their legs back underneath.
Um, and mentally, you know, start getting the focus where it needs to be small details.
And then tomorrow we'll expand.
From there on, we've got two or three things we would like to see, you know, some improvement.
And we started those things today with not only the emphasis, but doing a few breakdown.
Had things to try toe what we think we can build on. Some marries.
Well, one thing, you know, way feel like we can always face the floor a little bit better.
We can help each other.
You know, Stacy Nas is like innocence without the ball really opening up the floor.
And so we went through some scenarios today with some cuts that maybe we're making inconsistently that will help, you know the ball movement a little bit.
Our transition defense was was an area.
We've been pretty good protecting the paint.
But I think if we can clean up our transition a little bit it's even gonna be that much better.
So way picked a couple of things.
You know, that kind of broad and specific at the same time to work on today.
It's basic recording every quiet, not necessarily part of the spacing we're looking at.
It's when the ball is moving, you know, Three man spacing post a scene.
Those were the things that we emphasize today.
Just what we can do with, you know, where we go with our cuts and a lot of its recognition type things that we see it quicker and space and using the phrase sprint, the spacing, get out of there, open up that area.
I think they're small things, but I think they make a difference.
One of your goals and careers become with company at these last months.
Kind of reinforced That has something you always wanted.
Well, I haven't really, Uh I think anybody that coaches I would like to think they would like to work in the NBA.
But that really wasn't my intent when we started this.
And so, you know, the focus has really been a guest to your point.
How do we how we make guys better.
How do we How do we help him? When we make that better, our team's gonna be better.
So that's that's been more of the focal point than anything and seeing if we're doing that every day from us, continuing to build on the things that he's doing, I think we talked about, you know, we really talked a lot about his defense, that he's a versatile defender, you know, play with that athleticism.
Play with that link, you know, make an impact where he is getting deflections, making impact where he's, you know, he's making plays above the rim.
You know those kind of things.
And then offensively, just, you know, to continue to play, find finding that offense where it comes.
We know he has ability to score and continue to do that.
Fisherman, I don't really I wouldn't say that he struggled.
I think, uh, you know, games.
Now I'm drawing a blank, but we went through where we came out of it, said less in a week or so ago.
We said, You know what? Those were maybe best two games of the season, so I think you know, it's just a consistency thing of playing at that level, but he had, I don't remember it was, uh, in the Detroit trip or before that.
We have really big impact on the game with those great great for him.
It's a great experience for young guys to get to do that.
I think it if you could maybe look at previous players, how they use that game, that platform to continue to grow.
And I think I think he did an outstanding job of how he played and how he represented himself.
You know, the progression of his career season.
I assume there's some sort of way have talked about is is kind of what I said earlier, not to be repetitive, but what we control is today.
Let's take care of today.
Let's get better. Today.
Everybody in the building is working to try to get better, and if we can do that and keep our energy going in that direction, they have proven when they do that, they can have success and they can help themselves.
People, different names like this person, next head coach.
Is that something You pay attention, you know, I just don't I don't I don't think it's productive for me.
My job is right here today.
You know, my focus The last couple of days has been come back and have these two good practices and get ready to play Indiana.
We get two more practices, so you know, this will be our stretch.
Really from the rest of the season.
Way will not have four days like this the rest of the way.
So, you know, we're working on some things.
We've got Mo Reggie now it's got his legs under him.
So we have a chance to work on some things and do some things, and that's that's my concern.
Will be honest with you.
I'm not really paying attention to it.
So I don't really know until you tell me that that we're dismissing.
So it's really not my concern.
You know, I've said this before my background.
I spent six years in the D League Geely, and it was day today.
It was about how do you make the players better? And I really feel like that experience gave me a different perspective on how to do these jobs and how to do a job that brings value to an organization.
So it's You know I'm good with it, and I feel like if we're helping, the players were doing our jobs, and that's good enough for me.
No, not any social media.
Do not do not, I do know e u e they.
I think they look at things, but they know that I'm not interested in.
I don't We don't have those conversations, not not at all.
I think it's if if we help these guys and we continue to grow and get better than we've done our job, and all I'm concerned about is bringing value to it and helping these guys.
A simple as that sounds, I did that for six years, a CZ a D League, the league coach and I felt good at the end of every season on that's That's the direction that, all right, ladies and gentlemen, that's the intern.
Head coach Mike Miller.
It just says the things that I want to hear from a head coach, man.
No, social media doesn't want social media, wants to help these guys get better.
That's what it's all about.
That's what you're supposed to want.
No, I'm saying, my man, I say, Just join me in the chat sitting in the dark.
I don't know what he's doing, you know? I'm saying, um you know anybody that's just sitting in the dark, and it is up to no good. Probably.
But anyway, I said I was going on.
Man, don't be doing that, mate.
You know, not a k from, you know, cooking with lady man and stronghold.
Not in the dark about doing lunch stick, man.
You looked like you was in the dark to me.
Just came from cooking.
I hope she don't got no kind of Ebola virus.
And nothing says you just finished cooking anyway.
You know what I made today.
What? You mean turkey, chicken, rice and peas and some shrimp.
I'm George friend.
What did she say? It was good.
I don't want the accident.
That's how good it was.
Not the actual Okay.
Does she believe it's good? She doesn't have to believe it.
I know what's good.
No, but does she I mean, you know, she could make you feel any way, you know, she can have you feeling good.
Oh, yeah. Babies.
And then you know, when she leaves, she like, Oh, my God.
I need to go get something real.
I'm just saying I'm just asking the question, but any, you know, God, it was good way talking about where we are right now.
He's just watching.
Yeah, we just watched Mike Miller talk a little bit, you know, uh, you know, basically, he said, you know, that the Knicks worked on over these two days of practice.
They're working on spacing.
They're working on transition defense to things that a key and I sweat.
And I lied to you, not He said the same things.
These accent is the first time that I watched the interview.
So I listened to it the first time with some of you guys.
And he said the same thing we were talking about guys.
And spacing doesn't just have to be three point shooting, but spacing has to do where you position yourself on the floor.
And he mentioned the Post specifically in like Like I said, sometimes I've seen three guys standing on the box, you know? Yeah.
I mean, you're talking about I Listen, I like Mike. Milord line.
I think you know, we had a full year under my molest on it.
David Fido, I think the next month in a better position.
Um, I agree with what he's saying.
You know, we got to get you know what it is I feel like No, Um, you know what it is? It's like Randall Randall.
Those guys got a movie way.
Got to keep moving, man.
We got to keep the spacing and that's what you know again.
I agree with Mike Miller when he says two and threes isn't the only way to space.
Space isn't created just by shooting threes.
I mean, look at Golden State.
People talk about the days, but they don't talk about the motion.
You know that double the double screens that always running around like, you know, I don't know if you see the video means of Steph Curry, how he plays, but that do just constantly run.
So that's constantly in motion.
You know, if those happened things, man, we get those people.
We get those guys moving those guys, not in a box of God staying still got stuff, problems that about the shoo in.
I mean, shooting is a problem But it's also that we stay stagnant.
We say this guy, Frank Miller kuna send in the corner.
You got better Robert stating that you don't got guys and moving him.
Guys, guys being active.
That's the problem with our station.
And that's why we never get could great shots.
It's always isolations going because we don't want to move.
We got to get them. It's moving.
And we got to just, you know, keep it in motion to keep the different tones.
Yeah, well, you know, um, Mike Miller's you know, he said he's got two days of practice.
Then they play the Pacers in two more days of practice, and that's really good for the remainder of the season.
I see what you can do in these couple of days of practice.
You know, see if you know, you know, we can see the guys respond thio some things differently or whatever it is, you know, you got a new player, Moe Harkless.
You got a chance, Thio.
Maybe now I'll get more Harkless into what? Some things that he wants to do a little bit better.
See what it looks like, You know, I'm saying, See what it looks like, you know, I do what I want to take.
I want to take a moment and listen to Mohawk Lis and you know, because oh, of course, there's questions about whether or not more heartless is going to remain in making is going to be bought out.
Um, so let's take a listen to Mo Harkless and and Steve.
I haven't listened to this yet, you know, See if that if it comes up at any time or any point during his little minute too many interview and if he does get bought out From what I understand, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in Mo Harkless.
Stick it out. This is more heartless from practice.
Ladies and gentlemen, How was your break? Good.
It's a nice, nice time.
Just kind of wind and mental reset.
I guess you'd call it.
What's it been like since you came over? Was trying to get up to speed on playbook.
That's a thing like that.
I mean, that's that's pretty much it.
You wouldn't change.
Team just kind of is not, is not completely different, but he just got dressed calls and defensively.
Is this kind of similar principles from I've had in the past, so down that and I don't think it's much adjustment.
But I think just getting up to speed with calling guys, how are you betting the opportunity Do you have right now looking ahead, possibly for me in New York for signing elsewhere? I mean, I'm just taking it day by day, you know, I've always got to make So this is pretty cool to play here, you know? I just have to wait and see what happens.
Is that a consideration? Forget to soothe me.
Honestly, I haven't put any thought into it.
You know, there's been some talk about it, but like I said, I'm kind of just focusing on today.
You know, if if Major and I decided to explore that we you know this conversation will have But right now I haven't put my stone to when you said that Between outside of outside, like I hear the outside.
Exactly, But nothing for my end at least has been initiated.
You haven't spent a lot of time here, But just time you've been here, What could be so? I mean, I think he's a great young player.
I think he has a lot of potential to be good, gives it.
Lainey finished basket strong, and I think he has a real good our potential to be to be a special place if your home is their talents to be playing at home because there's a more ticket requests there, things like that.
They have to deal with her, though.
Is that not a thing for you? It is definitely a thing there is.
There's more people like, you know, people want to see you.
People come to the games and I mean, I think I don't think that's really necessarily a bad thing.
I enjoy being home, enjoyed being able to spend time with my friends and family, so I'm actually excited about it.
I played here in college, so I already got a little mini dome today.
Obviously, it's on another level now, but there's something that I enjoy.
Well, you said that subject mentioned, like at a time like how are you gonna kind inside if you want to see E.
I mean, I think there's a few things that factor into it.
Um, you know what? The situation is here, Obviously, whether or not, You know, since it is my collection of my contract, whether or not it makes sense, you know, on joined a pretender and just play on play off stage.
You know, those are all things that we gotta think about.
Um, Like I said, right now, I'm just focused on getting up to speed here and making the most of this.
All right, so I to me, it sounds like, you know, you says the conversations haven't been had.
It sounds like the conversations have definitely been at he says not letting some things out to the media, which, you know, smart, right? Um, yeah.
I wouldn't want to let anything out, but to me, it sounds like the conversation has been had.
Somewhere along the line, the compasses have been head like he said, you know, it was you know, it just comes down to, you know, do I want to try toe play with a playoff contender.
You know, I'd like to see him for a little bit.
See how he would look, you know me because he's the kind of guy that you wanna have.
You wanna have some guys? You know, some guys that complete defense and do those type of things on the floor of blue type of guy.
But if it's not to be is not to be.
I'd like to see what it looks like.
You know, I don't know if it's gonna happen.
You know, he made requested by out.
If he's gonna request to buy out, then he'd better do it within the next 11 days or 10 days or whatever it is.
So he could get on a playoff team before marks first.
If he does, I can almost guarantee he's going to go to the Lakers.
I bet you he goes back to L. A.
It gets bought out, is gonna go to the Lakers.
Them l A teams man is souping up.
I said, What do you think, man? What do you think is gonna happen? We're more heartless.
You think he's gonna stick around or you think he's gonna get bored out? Well, you think, you know, initiated by you know, some, um, which you are wanted to see more or less where r j out.
You know, right now, my main focus with the next rest of the season is Let's get R J great.
And let's put the pieces around R J.
But I like more heartless to be a difference of stopper for the Knicks.
But, you know, from the conversation that has happened, it doesn't sound like he's.
And pretty much like the Nixon is waiting to buy him out so that he could go to the Lakers.
That's what it really sounds like.
You know, um, again, I'm Richard.
I want to see Mark.
Let's play with the Knicks.
But if not, you know, Hey, we got the first round pick, so I'm happy with that.
You know, Not only do you get a first round pick, we got a first round pick, but we also you know Well, at least for this season, saved, like, four million bucks, Right? Cause Mohawk was played.
He makes 11. 1,000,000.
Uh, what's his name? Mook.
He was making 15 million to the next, you know.
Probably saved about four million bucks, too.
And let me tell you something.
Know something? Let me tell you something no one's talking about.
People are gonna laugh about it right now because it is right now.
But if we got that Billy that if something happens to the Clippers and they fall off and we have the ability to swap picks and listen, uh, I've seen crazy things happen and people talk about that.
That's not this year.
That's not this year, No, but that's what I'm saying, though in the future day, that's a lot of people.
People are laughing about it like the Clippers.
That is gonna be good people.
That's assumed because they have these guys when they're going to be good, they don't know that.
You know what? If Coop be like, you know what? I'm kind of done playing with the Clippers.
Jurors get into our, you know, even to me.
Things would be, huh? Or injuries? Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
And now people gonna be like, because now they can have a season like the freaking on the Warriors and then people going to be laughing Then, when the Knicks have the ability to swap picks, people, and then if the Clippers end up like the Warriors of this year and have like a bad season where they might get the number one pick, come on man.
People love this, you know, with the Knicks. Got a good spot.
But, um, yeah, I think more heartless is gonna I think I'm gonna get about on the next couple of days.
I think it probably it sounds to me like it probably it's probably gonna happen.
He'll probably get bought out.
Um, I mean, I don't know.
I don't know if, um, you know, he'll probably get bought out, you know, carry 4 20 Say we're bugging you. No.
Understand what he's saying? Basically, the swapping, the pick.
It doesn't hurt the Knicks at all, right? If the Clippers are the world champions that year, so you keep your pick.
But if something happens, it's just a little thing in there that set you up just in case something happens, right? Guess so.
That's all, said hotel.
I mean, they're probably will be good, but it's just a little thing that set you up just in case seven.
But people acting like what? So so people trying to sound bugging.
But someday any, I guarantee you sin before the summer, I promise you I would have been somebody, ah, $1000 that the warriors that people would have thought the Warriors it would be in the playoff contention people would do is no way someone to say, you know, the Warriors might get the number one pick this year.
No one said that right now.
I know what's now.
We get there, but I mean, yeah, but look, But, you know, that's that's, you know, we got to pick.
We got swap Mo Harkless.
He might be out.
You know, we'll see how that goes.
I see someone in the chat say, How many defensive stops do you want? I mean, look how many defensive stops do we really have? Be honest plays defense.
Heartless, You know? I mean, what if Mo Harkless stays on the team? You play some defense.
R J Barry's OK, lt Payton is okay.
How many other guys did you really had? You need to have some guys that could play deep, you know, saying I mean, you know, you gotta have some guys that could play D and some some glue type guys on the team.
Every team needs him.
Everybody overlooks those type of guys and say you don't have him, and then when you don't have him you're like, ****, we just gave away some guys and that we're not the same team, you know, You.
But anyway, anyway, the Knicks played Indiana Pacers tomorrow night, man.
And, you know, we just went over.
If you're just joining us, you can rewind and you can check out the game preview with stuff like that.
I'm getting ready to join me in the chat, you know, and we're gonna, you know, narrative.
We went over the game preview.
We're gonna talk about some other stuff, obviously, if you miss next weekly.
Last night, we talked about time.
Tip it over and all of that stuff.
I'm saying, what? Touch on it and a little bit here for the next couple of minutes.
I will talk about, you know, the next draft position in all of that right now, if you look at the next draft position according to tank it down, ladies and gentlemen of the Knicks are the fifth pick right now, 17 to 38 the Knicks of the fifth pick.
We're going to see how this works out over the next 27 semi games.
Right now, the Knicks of the fifth pick, and they have, as currently constructed, the Knicks would have the 25th pick.
So right now, the Knicks would have the fifth, and the 25th picks in the draft is German because the Knicks have the Los Angeles Clippers pick right here.
So we'll see how that goes right now, according to Tank, A thought on it had the next projected to get.
I'm sorry I clicked on the wrong thing.
Let me go back real quick and click on the mock draft.
Right now, they have the Knicks projected to get sorry, Sala Burton at number five and at number 25 the Mice Ramsey.
We'll see, and we'll see what the Knicks or you know with the new president, Leon Rose and GM plants do.
Let's talk about that a little bit, though.
Right? Since last night, you guys and go check out next weekly on SportsCastr.
We talked about Tom Thibodeau and all of that good stuff.
Now let's talk a little bit about the GM position because there's something's going on.
Something's going on out there that Allan Houston, maybe in a position to be bumped up, right.
He's been the GM of the Westchester Nix for the last, however many years.
And this, um, room was out there that maybe Allan Houston could be in position is possibly in position to get the GM spot or advanced somewhere throughout.
Managed to square garden? No, throughout the Knicks.
Don't want to find out from you guys. Man.
How would you feel about Allan Houston stepping up into that GM spot? I Guillermo? You going on, man? How would you feel about Alan? Used to step it up to that GM spot? I don't want it.
This is this this crap where is like this nepotism, you know? I mean, this is the same issues that we've had before with guys like Steve Mills.
I mean, guys who really don't have much experience.
I know Ali has experience with the Geely us off.
We need professional guys experience.
You could bring their coaching trees.
And if Allan Houston was to join that coaching tree fair enough.
Let him learn under there.
But enough with this nepotism.
Enough with this.
I'm going to make a change, because again, this is just the same hogwash, Same garbage.
And we've been going through time and time and time again, like why we hiring unproven guys like like this? If Allan Houston was involved with scouting a sum like that and we drafted like like a bunch of gyms for, like, the past on or how many years? And I said, You know what? Hey, he's a rising star because someone tell me what Allan Houston is.
Thumb for this Nick team in any capacity where you're like Oh, my gosh, his vision, His perspective is second to none, you know? I mean, let's again, this is Dolan doing is his garbage stop.
Just because I'm not spending money from scrapping, that has, has he been? Has he been in the position to, uh and they didn't say he was gonna be the G. M.
I just actually a question.
The report is just that The report.
It's just that he could be in position to move up.
Maybe it's a G m.
Maybe it's not, but has he been in the position? You know, you actually know what has he done for the Knicks organization? Has he been in the position to be able to do anything to do anything.
Who's head of the Geely? Great.
So when you headed the G League, you're probably you probably have a lot of input in terms of scouting, right? So you could pick off some.
I'm just talking.
A layman terms. You could pick up some kid from the streets.
And if he becomes the next Defrances, that's because of you, right? Allan Houston? Or if you go overseas, I don't know how this Scott and works, and how do you know any? But you would have you.
You probably have a lot of communications with scouting, right? So say, Allan Houston, pick some, some some kid overseas, right? He played.
Maybe playing college didn't get the chance and he went overseas.
Allan Houston's I A Let's bring you into the Geely comes into Ji.
Li works his way up to the Knicks, and now he's a 15 point scorer for 43%.
Shooting from the 3 48% from the field goes on like that, and he's out on next big thing.
That's Allan Houston.
So yes, he does have a he he does have the capacity to do that, but again, what I feel with a lot of these guys in the Knicks, and I've seen it with him.
The herd. Williams.
You know, the Steve Mills.
It's a cushy job.
It's Ah, it's Ah, hey, I'm somehow social that Nick's house, a former player and because Dolan because he probably never was able to make a lay up in his life.
He wants to be court.
Certain guys will have that cachet where guys were so sure that Nixon's I Hey, you know, let me do this and do that.
And no, now you have a job with the team about block.
But that experience, the development necks have been losing for the past.
I don't know how many years save for the one little year we have a mellow, and it's like, Oh, I'm gonna play some devil's advocate because I see like I see any chat.
Uh, who is this? Someone said Triborough.
He's barely doing his job in the D League.
If he's barely doing his job in the D League, why do we keep clamoring for these Julie guys to come up and play for the Knicks? I think it's because we're so bad that which is desperate for anybody to come up and create some kind of type of contribution.
I mean, I don't I wouldn't say that nothing in the D League because then again, like we've had guys who, like Trey Burke, basically resurrected his grand No, he's like a rotational guy now, But he kind of resurrected his career with the Knicks, right? So and Mike Miller came from the Geely.
You know, I don't know how much input out when Houston had and that, but I'll give him credit because he was head of GE Li.
I'm not sure if you still have the general level goes out, but you know I want to see is me no contribution because, ah, and you know, I'm just asking because let me see 2015 16.
The D League team, Westchester, Nick's.
There were 28 20 to 1234567 in the D League, 2016 17.
They were 19 and 31 all right, 2017 18.
They were number one.
There were 30 2018 2018 19.
There were 29 21.
And this year s so far.
You're 16 and 20 right? So I mean, they've had and you know, 16 you know, But they've had some good records.
Some of us Coach Mike Miller.
Some of it is the players that they get down to D league.
You know, you can have because of the way that it's set up.
You know, you're gonna have times when you're the number one team in the entire league, and then when you're last in the entire league, because wait and think about the chili is not necessarily the record, Right, Because the G league ZOLL developmental, right? So, you know, it's as crazy as it sounds.
Right? And that G league literally looking for gem.
So if you can find a guy who develop on the Geely right, you have that kid.
Ah, Hinton cameras.
First name of the kid I was clamoring for.
We're going to see things from Shaw. Whatever.
Some small school Amir Amir hand Manson. Thank you.
You know, you're looking for guys to develop, So if we had a Julie team that they lost, you know, 67% of games, but this one kid is developing, and he's developing the way that pay the Knicks have, ah, you know, they needed They have a need for a shooting guard.
Ah, guy who can space the floor playoff ball and say a man Henson, is that just, you know, make an example? Um, and that's who you're gonna That's what you're gonna try. Development.
Jesus. Not necessary. The record per se. I don't.
You getting out right? So right, it's it looks good.
But I would say, Ah, better mark of developments.
I Hey, we got these gems that we're developing.
No one knew about him.
You know, we we saw some in them and we think they could contribute.
They come and contribute, and they contribute more than what was expected.
Hey, that's got something.
Has the same things. Like what we saw.
Isiah Thomas is like a little different toys, but is like, this guy's always had a really good scouting record, right? So it wasn't crazy when people wanted to make him when they want to make it in the GM like we didn't know his other issues and stuff.
But when you look at his tracker in terms of drafting the Tracy McGrady's stuff like that you know, I think the guy was, you know, he had a good eye for talent, and that's what we need it.
Allan Houston wants to make it name and say, You know, we want a vow.
They Allan, Allan, Houston doing that.
We have to look at who has only brought up from the G leak that has made those type of contributions.
Where's like this guy has good scouting capabilities or you see something, You know? I mean, even put like this him pull like this.
If we had in a genie where we had a discernible style of play and I was because of Allan Houston, like he say he you know he saw you got a got the new Brad Stevens.
Brad Stevens comes to the next delete the next grassy saying Brass seems to, and for some reason I he's running some weird scheme or some different scheme that is really effective and say that guy goes another teammate say he doesn't push up the next, goes to another team and cares that scheme out.
And it's like, you know, craft.
Allan Houston has a good eye for talent on the coach's eye, you know, I mean, I just don't see that with what Allan Houston.
I guess we'll see if he if he moves up anywhere with an organization.
Because the D League is a training ground not just for basketball players, just a training ground.
Cultures four G m's for referees or practicing weird rules and all kinds of stuff.
So I guess you know we'll see.
Um, if if there's any any fire behind the smoke with Allan Houston just moving up within the Knicks.
Nothing I say is, You know, we look at some people, you know, we look at, we look at people around the league right, and we look at other teams and we wantto poach people from other teams that have been assistant GM or Geely G M's or, you know, they've they've done, you know, they've been with the Oklahoma City thunder.
They've been with this team or that team, and you can really say the same thing that they've been part of it.
Maybe they've been part of a winning organization.
So you could say that you know that Allan Houston has not been part of a winning organization, but realistically, those guys haven't done anything on their own, either.
It's like Alan, use him in because you like the guy.
The guy's personal like he's like he's like he seems like a good do, right? You certain guys just grab, take Someone's always looks professional.
He the type of guy.
And I just wish that look, you know, is sorry.
Guys like, you know, the Bill Belichick said they worked their way up from the absolute Nothing but the thing I don't use.
Unfortunately, I think that, you know, I would if I could advise him.
You probably never listen to.
But if I was able to advise him, I would say, because specialty, you know, is it is it personnel you know, is it players is a drafting a scouting and then go work with another team and work your way up.
So now you build a passion ability on little tree, get your own little guys who kind of want to follow you these little assistance, whatever, any they want a bill because this thing with Nick's like this is like it's a big boom.
A butt like that he got the job is a big boom of bus because again, you're working with a guy and James Dolan who is an erratic or it was just not a good or I'm gonna say erratic base is not a good owner and you don't want to ruin your name as another.
You want to be older Nick guy who's just He just got out because he was next.
Verses say he goes for the Spurs, right? He develops on the Spurs.
He learns a lot on the Spurs.
A ghost, another team, say the Kings who aren't doing so well, and he starts to make an impact with the King's Weatherby.
Bringing in the right coach is whether is bringing in the right place.
Got the right players bringing in the guy should get Ah Bill different schemes of the team.
And they become successful.
And now he could work his way up to, ah, high position.
Well, now you can get upto Aguila.
Maybe before he was assistant, this or whatever night works up to GM.
Now you can say you can say all that Nick's stuff.
Now you come back to the Nixon ounce of out there.
Now you know what to say or use a guy guy when they say even fails in the next.
It was like, Well, he had a successful track record.
Now you could go to some place else versus you do with Nick's.
You might not be able to get in anywhere else unless you want to start from the bottom.
And a lot of these guys, they don't wanna swallow their pride and start all the way from the bottom after feeling with a certain team.
So I would tell him to go to the Oh, I I would I would agree with you with that right there, right? You know, you know what? The next is going to be hard to prove yourself in the Middle East with the Knicks.
You know what the way that they are right now.
But when you talk about him starting from the bottom, I think he did.
I mean, you know what? That Nick's, That's I don't get that.
I understand that I understand that.
But I still think he did right.
Like like you said, you know, he's got to choose, you know, you said, you know, choose what it is that you want to do.
I think he has chosen what it is that he wants to do, and he's finding a way.
Maybe being with the Knicks is the wrong move, But I think he's chosen what he wants to do, right.
He's been, you know, he was hired in 2008 has been with Nick's.
What's this 2027 with the Knicks for 12 years in an executive position? He was an assistant and and assistant to the president of basketball operations.
So who knows what that actually entails? You know, he's just an assistant.
Um, it was promoted to position off assistant general manager in 2010.
As of July 2019 he was this special assistant to the general manager, the Knicks.
He was also the general manager of the Westchester Knicks.
I mean, that's, you know, trying to work your way up.
You know, maybe he's with the wrong organization, but it was trying to work your way up and work your way through it.
So, you know, you know, this far starting from the bottom.
I think that's what he's been trying to do is start starting here, and I'm gonna learn the game and work my way up through it.
No, it is it with the right team.
Who knows? Name.
What do you think, man? I mean, I like Allan Houston.
I mean, I know he's the reason why I'm a Knicks fan.
I just love the guy in general.
Really good, good person and got good qualities.
Um, I actually think that, you know, I'd love to see him coach the Westchester Nix.
I think there could be some potential there, you know, um, But like you said, you know, it's unfair that he's been here this long and really hasn't moved up stuff like that.
And, you know, I don't know, man.
I like Allan Houston.
I wish I wanted to stay in the organization.
You know, um uh, he's kind of tough man.
You know, I don't really know what his future is with the Knicks.
I don't know what their plan is like.
I said, I would like to see him do something with the Westchester Nix.
Um, I think it's got the potential, man, you know.
Well, see, I think I think the biggest thing against him is that he's done this job with Nick's.
Um I think that's the biggest.
The biggest strike against him is that he's done it with Nick's, Um, you know, we don't know what his input has or has not been.
Is faras making decisions or anything like that? So who knows this far as it being a coach, I don't think he's ever gonna be a coach.
Don't think what's really what's his position right now with the next.
Yeah, just ready.
Ah, special assistant to the GM.
What is Anna? He's the general manager, the Westchester Nick.
So I guess we'll see.
We'll see what? We'll see what happens there.
But, you know, he's, I guess, in position to move up within the New York Knicks organization, and we'll see what that means.
I do think that if you're bringing in a rookie president, you gotta have somebody who's got a lot of experience in as a general manager, in my opinion, or somebody who has a lot of experience running organizations because obviously leading roles, he might have experience running some other kind of organization, but an n b A team.
He's not gonna have the experience running an N b A team so I do think you gotta have somebody who's got some some kind of experience behind him.
You know, it would make more sense to me if you, your president, had the experience.
And then your general manager, you got a general manager like, if you're Leon Rose, you hire Leon Rose as the general manager.
The guy who's going to be reaching out the free agents, making deals, doinnow cyber things.
And they have a president who understands basketball operations.
I think that means a little bit more sense.
But the next don't always make sense.
A sim who's coaching the West. Justin, it's right now.
I forgot his name.
I forgot his name.
Tall Black Do Williams.
Is it now? It's not her.
I think her Williams is over.
We're in at Barclays now, right? Because he's coaching the Liberty, No liberty and no longer with Madison Square Garden.
No, really? Yeah, no, I don't no longer would Master Square Garden, the liberty, the next, the Nets bottom or whatever it is after guys, Can you talk about Kyrie being out? Let's talk about it, man.
Kyrie Irving is out for the season.
Yeah, we dodged the bullet.
Well, I mean, I guess I mean, you know, you see where we are right now, but, I mean, we got the bullet as far as not having to pay him mad money.
The bullets far is not happy paying man money.
We dodged a bullet there for sure.
I'm saying, um yeah, I don't know.
You know, we'll see.
Let me see the nets right now.
Where did neck? It's as faras playoffs are concerned.
The Nets are currently 25 or 28.
That a seven seed now, But this is the thing not allowed to be going, but they would have come in.
But this is the thing.
They've played better without Carly throughout the season.
So so, you know, plays a lot better.
What is a I said, Yeah, Dimwit plays a lot better.
Yeah, so you know, we'll see.
Um, you know how that ends up working out for the next.
So let me ask you, man, I think I know the answer.
Because we heard from Mike Miller.
Is he just Is he going to stick with playing the vets or is, he is.
What's he gonna do? Oh, I think he's gonna stick with that.
Because at the end, the day he needs to win toe boost his resume for other teams.
I think he realizes that unless the Knicks come out with a really good opportunity for you to stay on, the staff is pretty much gone.
And I think he's opened up an opportunity to be on somebody else's stabbing a zit head assistant coach.
I think the guy's got some potential and coaching.
Um, I think he's gonna try to win, man, because he needs a boost.
That resume make it look better for other teams.
Um, yeah, he probably will.
He probably will.
Um, I just I don't see him changing.
I don't changing all of sudden. Oh, yeah.
Now I'm gonna start playing the young kids ride of the race.
I think it is mine.
Believe it or not, they still think the Knicks are competitive and that they still have a chance.
So he's gonna continue to do what he's doing.
And until they tell him otherwise, what you really think that they think the Knicks have a chance to have you changed.
I don't know, man.
I mean, I mean, these coaches, man, they have this mentality that I mean, anything could happen.
I mean, you look at the eight seed.
I mean, you could win six games in a row and the other team could lose 45 games in the road and, bam, you're like a couple of games out of the A C E.
I mean, it's the Eastern Conference, man.
Is it likely? Probably not, But I mean, I think it is fine.
You think they're playing better.
The defense is better.
Offense is still a problem.
But the defense has gotten a lot better.
I think you know, he's happy with paving the way he's playing.
I have just rolling the way it is, man.
I don't see it changing.
I mean, unless up to drastically where the GM like Gary comes and tells him like, Hey, man, you gotta start playing some of these young guys like Whoa, you know, career because we gotta We gotta either market these guys for other teams or we gotta see what we got in these guys for next year.
Yeah, I don't know.
We'll see, man we'll see.
I want to ask you guys a question.
One eye's am I asked you first.
I don't even know, but I don't know if I was as a looks like he's frozen.
The guy's a is frozen, So I'm gonna come together, Mama, As Guillermo, uh, game.
I don't know who gambles talking to, because I say it's not in there.
So was he talking to Nate themselves? I don't know who he's talking to.
You hear me? Yeah. No.
I was wondering, Like, who was he talking to? Yeah.
Yeah, You were just chatting and nobody if I wasn't looking.
I said he was trying to me.
And I'm like, Who's Gable talking to? I was so tired.
But I wasn't looking in the chat.
I incident, messes up, and he was responding.
I looked up and it knows. So I see you.
Just laughing now is like, Oh, crap, I let me atone to myself is I say it's full about painting.
Scream so bad about that.
Hey, did you at all I know I did not.
I had no interest at all.
Did you have any interest in Reggie Jackson not gonna reach.
Do you have a chance to show? What do you do? Reggie Jackson is what he is.
He's a he's a he's a scoring point guard.
He's a ball in his hands. He's not.
He's not dynamic.
That's right now because, I mean, look what happened? The thunder, I think even with the thunder, it was almost like a jealousy thing, right? Like, Oh, I gotta show improved.
That's why there was so much like friction between him.
Westbrook and I think a d and as the seasons one, those players where you got you got his money, got comfortable when you know we don't need that for the next man.
We already have enough.
Me, too. I don't really care.
Don't say not enough, but we just we we don't need that.
So, hey, Lakers a desperate for the Clippers and Lakers? A desperate to get death like it's like a war out there.
Like, do you require anything they might acquire? More heart is he might not see one minute on the floor.
You might see what averaged three minutes or whatever in the play offs like you know, me.
So let them let them fight for Yeah, I was just wondering, you know, if there was anybody looking and saying, Yeah, we should get ready, Jackson.
I've never really been a Reggie Jackson fans.
The guy I want it was believed Beasley, man, and he got traded.
I can remember you've got traded to, but that was like I really wanted man.
Yeah, but but I never was.
I mean, you know, ironically, you know, you say, you know, he's, you know, scoring garb of Ah, that's what the Knicks say.
Or the reports have said that the Knicks you're looking for a scoring guard, a scoring point guard in the draft.
So no eso this is this why I don't like right and allies guys who do like the mock drafts that they really don't like most people do.
I realized if they're not like a New York Ah, like a New York beat writer, they usually don't know what the hell they're talking about.
So the thing about that we don't necessarily is not that we need it.
We do need a point guard will score and thank your eyes because you got me talking to myself.
Fixture, Internet man. I look like a psycho.
Let me get back to my point jerk Betty way.
Um, the thing about that you really need you.
Look, guys like, Oh, Anthony, right? He's a guy who is a storm guard, but he's not dynamic enough.
Where's like he could be a Dame Lillard and he's a size is a problem, right? So the Knicks need a guy like, Look, we need a guy who can score off the pick and rolls.
We couldn't score off the dribble.
Some that we've we've struggled with, right? It is not necessary.
Just get a scoring point guard.
We need a guy Westfield Vision Court vision to facilitate and get other guys involved.
You just heard what Mike Miller was talking about, right? With the whole the spacing thing, right? No.
We could also help out with spacing sin in terms of being a floor general, the point guard, we remind guys you don't have to have Mike Miller constantly yelling and telling guys to do this and do that and get back.
You see that? I mean, if you have a guy like Chris Paul, he'll get you in position and we need a guard who can do it.
We need guard with vision.
We're gonna go after a guy like like Maxie.
You know me from Kentucky, who's alive and doing well anymore.
He's kind of been, you know, kind of shaky stream, like twin 9% from three.
And I think it's a bit like 13 15 points, you know? I mean, so, you know, I mean, people say what we need.
Guys really just don't know what the hell they're talking about.
So look, we got 27 games left, man.
Um, don't What? What is it that you're expecting to see these last 27 games? What you looking for? Well, I see and hear what Mike Miller saying to the media.
I like the fact that he's kind of ****ed that these idiots keep asking about, you know, super Steve styled in what was said.
I think you're going to see Mike Miller, whose focus is gonna try to get these guys that played to the best ability.
I mean, like, I like Mike Miller.
Um, and I think he's gonna get these guys work hard, because again, like you said, there's gonna be some guys would probably wanna Even though elements in these guys say they don't want to leave to go to contender, I just find it hard to believe.
So we'll see the next few days.
Um, but I think you're going to see guys gonna go all out because I look, I'll probably get fired or, you know, removed or whatever.
Let me show what I can do for the team's right.
So I think it's gonna try toe experiment a little bit more.
Like you said with spacing, you might see a little more off ball offense.
Ah, you're gonna see, probably cutting from a from R.
Barry because it's worked for him in the past, when I've seen R.
Barry Excel cut into the middle of the lane.
Ah, when you have guys like Randall, you know, standing and, you know, looking for the past are going to see a lot more that from from ah, Mike Miller.
So you know, I might get Sam super excited.
I think something we're gonna lose a lot of games, But, you know, given that this guy, I think is kind of his last legs with his team. I'm excited.
You know, I'm looking forward to seeing what he's gonna try to implement and force these guys that do, because I think he wants to get these guys kind of learned FBI.
Look, I'm not gonna be here, but some of you guys look u n b a charism.
I'm gonna stay on the tatters, But guys, guys, start developing.
So, uh, yeah, you? Yeah.
You know, 27 games about the guys in the buyouts, I think probably the big reason why they were not looking for buyouts.
They want all their money.
I mean, I let me say so.
That is just I miss the days were like the championship meant something, man, you know, I mean, like, a lot of your role play.
You would have loved you even back in again.
I want just a little bit different than a stranger is a little different back then.
But, you know, just to be a role play like there's no shame in being a role player looking for that championship, right? And to be the guy, you know, maybe you hit the three.
You average the two or three threes a game.
You hit the big shot.
As when his role players, you know, you have any role players.
You know, this would be a role play Hall of fame.
You know? I mean, like the Robin Horie's and like, guys who they contributed and they were proud to do so for championship team.
But, you know, I guess if you want to get that money No, it is What is this Cool.
But, you know, I mean higher.
And I hear you, I hear you.
But I think you know, especially someone when you're looking at okay.
You know, I can understand Wayne Ellington.
Right? Um I would say, you know what? I'm 32 years old.
I'm trying to go to a contender because my time is ticking.
Mo Harkless, 26.
Still got some years left, you know? And, you know, he might be like they're going to get my money.
I could join a contender next year, you know? Mean, um, now he's old.
This year, most of the season is gone.
How much is he giving up with that? I don't know.
First of all 50% of that, 11 million is gone.
Still, a lot of money, but 50% of the $11 million it was gone.
So who knows what a person's financial situation is? Look, looks like so, you know, he might be like, I need all my money or I'm cool.
I can go to a contender.
Who knows? You mean so what? Whoa! We'll see what that looks like.
And if these guys do Mo Harkless, Bobby Portis over.
He said he trying to get bought out.
Oh, say, does that Bobby Porter's Hey, we ain't tryinto trying to improve in China.
Look for the glory is due.
He got his money's in New York.
Okay? He's throwing up bottles.
He doesn't realize is only gonna be probably for one year and at 10 clock train no longer a star you're gonna be getting I mean, look, that's the thing, though.
He's getting his 15 million.
This is like, Look, I'm getting my 15 million.
I'm getting all my 15 million.
You don't want me to come back next year? Cool.
So I'm gonna get all my 15 million this year.
I'm not going with you. No favors.
That's up that to me.
That's it myself.
I'm not doing you no favors.
But he wouldn't go to a contender, huh? But he wouldn't think about going a contender.
I mean, he probably feels like, Well, I might not go to a contender this year, but I go.
Maybe I'll go to the one next year, he said.
I'm 24 years old. That's what he said.
As you said, I'm 24 years old, you know, saying I'm not thinking about a buyout.
Uh, some people just have no perspective.
Like brought Bobby.
You don't actually hope Bobby porters and would actually might get him more money in the future if he had a buyout and put ah, good playoff run.
Because then I'd be like, Oh, maybe it's just the Knicks.
I suck this new body boarders, Port SCA really bull.
And it's not just about money.
Like I get it, I get it, I get it.
Money is very important.
I'm not saying it is it, but it's like, Bro, do you have any foresight to be like, Let me think about my future, maybe going to a different team, right? Contributed a few big threes.
What if he's a guy where it's like, but he's a guy.
He goes the Lakers, and he's the X factor off the bed. Robert.
Robert. Holy give me a Robert Horry.
Maybe a couple like a Jesus.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm gonna be honest with you. Feel with me.
You know, I really have to sit down and do the man to be, like, Okay, if I take this buyout, am I going to get another contract and make that money up? You know, I'm saying I'm not gonna lie.
I've been thinking about it too.
Especially from 24 from 30 from 32. 33.
Probably may have made some nice money over my lifetime.
Like I know what I'm good at.
That age works him like this perspective.
The faster you get perspective, the faster your blessings come.
When you were 20 I'm pretty sure you look back on it and you're like, ****, when I was 24 I wish I would have made decisions that I know.
Having a bit of situation that might even say, obviously in a good situation now, but obviously things like am I said it on this one stream.
So if you get that perspective at the proper age, execute on it.
So your futures are everybody.
Everyone's perspective is different.
That's the one thing.
That's the one thing that I think fans don't get about players in the n b A.
Some players is really like, I really want this championship.
Some players is kind of like, You know what? I'm gonna play hard.
I'm a work card championships, not my biggest concern.
I just love playing ball and making money playing boat, and that's what you said, because I mean, that's what What's this dude? I think it was Stephen Jackson said it.
He was like their their guys that they excuse me, they're gonna work hard.
They come in, they want that and is very few bees that most has got an MBA.
They just having with their paycheck, get the luminous, grim bodies and they're good to go, man, it really about trying and I'm missing.
The saddest thing is that the guy won the guys who might be the last bastions, and I hate to give this guy credit for it? Because I just had his phony nature.
You know, if the FBI gets worse than this, obviously guys like a y.
You know, I mean, but LeBron James, I gotta give him credit.
Where? You know, I'm watching guys like like Daimler elude, you know? I mean, Dame Lily took all that money to stay in that situation when he knows he's not gonna win.
And Damon is one my favorite places like game.
What? Look, Bradley, Bill took that my nice complaining toe, But you knew you weren't gonna win.
Well, But you know what? The only thing I say about Bali buildings he probably took that money feeling like I can get a tree talk about Bradley.
You probably felt like I didn't get a trade, though, you know? I'm saying, Yeah, you know, I'm gonna take this extension so I could get my money, but I can If I want out.
I'm gonna demand a trade.
And I'm pretty sure there's a lot of players.
I feel like that.
But listen, I'm about to get out of here, man.
I do want to ask you out as though the fight this weekend Well, guys, that with it.
Who you got? Ah, I love me.
Yeah, I gotta go.
I gotta go while them But very man Fury is so freaking on.
Orthodox man, your eyes is a moat you might like.
Um, not cows, are you? What's a good name? He fights like I won't say more, because remember, Marvin values to switch it up.
Used to go soft part.
He's never He never looks in shape.
Now they say that he stopped drinking soda, right? So he could be in shape.
But he never looks in shape.
But it's just What is he from Scotland? Or some, uh, what they call, I guess.
Gypsy said it's not Scott.
Hey, you know that some people have really good bone structure when you look at his bone structure, even though it's not the prettiest, there's some people, they just they they could carry weight.
Well, because bone structure is strong, so it's like you get and the joints are really there.
But I got to go a while, the man, but while to me.
But he, but like Tyson, is like these types of fury, not Mike Tyson.
Types of theories.
He's from the gypsy culture, where fighting is what they do.
He's from like fighting's.
That's what they grow up in what they're bred to do.
He's tough, really tough.
Talks a lot of garbage along the way.
Wilder does Tudo.
He talks a lot. He talks a lot of stuff, too.
I got a real one.
Not I got the real one, though.
Because what? That little thing they tried to yesterday.
It's fake, has actually respect each other.
And And they both admitted before this Ah, this whole getup, they respect each other.
The one I want to see, though, is them any one of them versus that bomb ass? Anthony Joshua, Because this dont Joshua talks all this trash.
He was scared to fight both of them.
And I saw my wants a fight.
Well, he knows that it will be hard because of the promotion.
So, you know, I think it's easier with the English guys and whatever, but he was He was ducking and dodging.
Now he has a blemish on his record.
Now he wants to tell ball one.
I'm introducing you.
Let these two Titans fight, and then you take you take a 60 40 of 70 30 purse or 30 70 because you should begin any.
You should begin in that much like that, and then we'll see.
But, you know, it suits you.
But these guys, I think what is gonna take it? Because that power you even touches theory a theory woke up from the dead.
But like what? I mean I mean, you see, Like I was tough.
He's just a tough, tough dude.
What you think? What's up with, you know, like you can't even hear you? You barely hear you, Uh, you like, will you need to put headphones in a song? Oh, well, while we're waiting for that, what do you take? Well, you know, Deontay Wilder said it would have beat Tyson back with Tyson with Tyson now, he said he said he would have bean Mike Tyson.
Whoa, whoa, It would taste.
It was in his prime.
I didn't hear the cat cat catches were, but real quick said, What do you think? First of all, the only stage he Why would I had a chance to get a chance against Mike Tyson? wasn't Mike Tice came back out from prison.
He wasn't focused.
Maybe if you told my custom model Taison No.
Custom model Tyson.
We talk about defense and people told Purnell Whitaker.
People talk about, Ah, Floyd Mayweather.
Go back to him When custom.
Otto was alive teaching his dude and he was teaching the and he had him on a turtle defence.
No, and even him Come out.
Chris, I know you for some ducks. Whatever.
No, because Tyson.
One thing about Tyson Tyson's power, but he was also a boxer.
The thing about fear a while, though, as grave a posy has look how his feet are so wide.
You know, you can talk now.
One thing he does that that's impressive.
That while does that when you throw when sometimes when you step in.
So he did against Ortiz.
It did against Brazil.
When they step in as fighters, he throws a punch thio storm off.
Here's those jab enough, but throws a punch.
The power punch, which is not so much.
We don't a job to throw him off because he doesn't Alan off his instinct.
I don't be taught that butt against Mike Tyson because the amount of Mike Tyson the only thing I said I was just about I was about to bring this up.
I see some guy saying in a check Andre, Ricardo, Brian says Wilder, 67 what does that mean? Then he also said, Mike Tyson struggle against Lennox Lewis, who was 65 Tyson did struggle against taller, some toilet guys told the guys that could fight and old saying when he fought Lennox Lewis, where was in his life fight, uh, supposed to fight Holyfield after the Buster Douglas fight.
But he lost that fight, right? So and that was a big surprise.
He was not focused like I understand again when Mike Tyson was focused, he was only for a lot of bumps.
You could not touch Mike Tyson when he was focused, but she was on a customer like you guys are.
Bug it. Also, when you're Boxer.
This is why when you see certain street fights, the guy with a lower center of gravity has an advantage.
When you're 67 if you have slower fast twitch muscles or less fast twitch muscles, you're going to suffer against a guy who can ball, come up and use more torque and power.
I know some of you guys probably never been in five months saying I've been a bunch of fights.
Well, I know I've been in a few fights.
Frizz Lightyear, that dude, He's a problem.
That's why you I have to try to Yokohama.
Put him to the ground.
Some like that to me, trying to box a dual box set.
55 11 57 And he got that that yolk.
And at that torque, he'll kill.
He could, you know, you know, being that size, being that height and having that power, you know, you get more power when you have short of punches.
And we have longer punches, right? You know, And that was the thing about Tyson.
He did struggle with guys that were taller, bigger and could tie him up.
That's not necessarily true, though.
You fought a bunch of he did, huh? You got talent because Holyfield the wrong time, Holyfield.
But even But even we've got to get some of those told the guys you could see little stretches and I watched just about every single Tyson fight and you can see little stretches.
It's some of those fights where you know, if they tied him up a little bit, he struggled and figuring out.
Okay, how do I get this guy that finally he you know, he banged the body, bang the body in the land, Uppercut? You know, I love trying to knock him out instead of going to the O.
Because the model use focus body face by anybody.
But he still did.
He still did struggle when some taller, bigger guys would get inside.
Boom, boom, boom.
Any time up, time on the referee.
Someone said really time was a plum tribe.
Or you might, dude Rid**** Bowe became of him because he couldn't stop eating Burger King.
But when Rid**** Bowe was, I was out with stuff, man.
Bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, breakable has some of his personal issues.
And what? He kidnapped his wife? I don't know.
Something crazy, but you have come is That's a serious thing, man.
Come on, you know how do you kidnap your wife? I feel drunk when you get them punches to the head.
Man, these dues Really? You know, I just hate this child's get me mad Men like my type of my fighters.
I wish Mike Tyson would afford Lennox Lewis because again lets loose Good chin.
Great box change.
