That's the Boston Bruins and the Edmonton Oilers in net.
For the Bees, it's Tuka Rask.
This season, 34 starts at 22 5 and five records.
8 goals against average.
Meanwhile, in goal for the Edmonton Oilers is Mike Smith, who this season has played in 32 games with 30 starts, a 16 10 and four record in a 2.
93 goals against average.
And Leon dry silent.
You better watch out for him.
If you're the Bruins.
He's been from the four game since the condiment David injury.
He's had three goals and seven assists, really picking up his game, Um, in a season where he's been truly remarkable.
So the Bruins gotta watch out for him as we have the face off at center ice and we're underway from Roger's Place, an edge mint in Alberta.
The Bruins in their first of three Western Canadian road games here and this past sent into the middle.
And that will deflect how to play.
The referee's not Eric for Lot and Garrett rank.
The linesmen are Michelle Cormier, A and Trent Nor, and let's get to both teams.
Thanks Perry for joining the broadcast.
Glad to have you here on this Wednesday night as well have a face off in the Bruins own.
We're just 15 seconds in the play here.
The game just underway.
A weird start time.
6 30 local time in Edmonton is there in the mountain time zone.
The Bruins well, their first line, of course.
Brad Marshawn, Patrice Bergeron, David Posh knock Second line consists of Jake the Brusque David Krejci and Carson Kuhlmann.

Now for the defense of the Boston Bruins.
First lines of Dana Ciara and Charlie McAvoy, second line to recruit and Brennan Carlo.
And last but not least, the third line consists of Matt Grizzly and Jeremy Lasagne.
So that's how the Bruins are looking like they have in the attacking zone.
Your shot fired in from the blue line that goes just wide of the goal.
Now it's back to Zidane.

Or a minute and 1/2 in admin tin with the puck in the neutral zone.
It will be hurled to the end boards with to harass HQ, and that one is stolen shot from the point block through traffic, another opportunity that goes wide left of the gold from Tyler Benson, the left winger now the puck back out to the blue line.
Anders York takes over for the Bruins.
York will send this one to the corner boards and back to get it.
No, Jones will play it up to the neutral zone.
It will go all the way through, and that's gonna go all the way down for icing the face off.
Sorry about the glare here on the side of the screen and coming across my face.
Not sure why that's happening.
It's a little annoying, the same lighting as I always go with not sure what the issue is there, but maybe I could get that situated later on the stream during the intermission or something like that.
But it's not that big of a deal, just kind of annoying.
It's not like my couch was moved or anything.
Not sure, but anyway, we resume play battle Ford along the boards.
Posture, not plays across ice.
Now get in the line.
Is Brad Marshawn back to the point? Sent in deep I Brennan, Carlo Marshawn battling Ford in the corner, Patrice Bergeron helps and wraps that helps out and wraps around for posture, not back to Torrey Crew fires in a shot that's blocked on the way and clear to center ice now will be sent in deep by Alex Kiosk Zone, and it's now in the neutral zone with the Bruins.
They're tryingto get clean possession of it.
Corral is going to send it around the end boards and Chris Wagner getting a little bit physical on the four check.
It's now back behind the goal with Mike Smith.
Smith will leave it for Darnell.
Nurse nurse plays it ahead. This one takes a deflection.
It's now behind the Bruins net with two harassed.

I appreciate that a lot.
We're four minutes in.
The Bruins aren't home again until February 25th when they take on the flames at home.
Before that, they got the uh, They got Calgary Friday in Vancouver Saturday on their Western Canadian road trip.

Is Riley she in? It's now played up ahead.
Brandon Carlo will take over for Boston.
Carlo behind the Bruins net.
You'll hold things up.
Play across ice for Torey Crew.
Krug finds Charlie Coyle coil wraps it around, and the Oilers wanted right back.
It's now into the neutral zone, gaining the line of the right wing is, I believe that was Darnell Nurse.
It's now played diagonally along the corner boards.
Mad Christlike there for the Boston Bruins.
Screws. Look up ahead for Brad Marchand.
March on down the left wing at the edge of the circle centering pass, and that will be covered up in the crease by Mike Smith.
A dangerous puck they're played in by Marshawn.
That could have been anyone's 14 36 to go in the first period.
By the way, the right winger for Boston, in eight games this month has five goals and one assistant a plus seven rating.
You know he hasn't been spectacular this season, but the last eight games and you know the month of February has been good for him.
He's really a picked it.
He's really turn it up a notch when it comes to Ah, his production went on the ice ad mention when the face off can't clear it, though.
It's now in the slot passed off, but Posturing couldn't leave his way through.
Is that one stolen away? Now down the right wing, here comes Patrick Russell, Torey Krug, though with a nice deal back on defense.
Now the Bruins have numbers up ahead. Caution.
Ock has its stolen away, and that one will deflect into the bench area on the past from Ethan Bear for a stoppage and play the face off coming in front of the Edmunds in bench.
Thank you, Frank, for joining the broadcast.
Glad to have you here, man.
Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday night.
I am back here on Sports Caster.
I've been on since Saturday because I was on vacation in New York City school vacation week for me.
So that's why I was gone for a while.
Would have loved to do that and the All Star Game.
I would love to do.
Chelsea Man United on Monday, Champions League yesterday and really today, although I'm fine with doing this game, but especially Champions League yesterday and they have let it go Madrid Liverpool game.
That would have been fun to do, but, oh well, I was having a fun time on vacation, so but I'm still glad to be back here with you on SportsCastr commentating.
Plenty of action, as always, tonight the Bruins.
But I commentate pretty much every sport as you all know or a lot anyway, It's not every sport I should say.
Now send it to the corner for Jake DeBrusk, too brusque around the Net has its stolen.
Now here comes Edmunds in the other way, in speed and gain.
The line is Tyler Benson and a same made by to grasp on the effort from Benson.
Now it's back at Edmondson's and played up to the neutral zone.
Chris Wagner has it for Boston.
Wagner passes it around, takes a slight deflection and now a big hit along the half boards. Sean Corral.
He hasn't for Boston backhands this one ahead, although Edmondson ticket right back away.
Nordstrom takes it, though.
Plays across ice for Corral Eka rally racing down the right wing takes it to the end boards.
Edmund to now play it up the boards in advance it to the center circle where man Chorus Lick takes it for Boston.
Grizzly wraps it around the boards.
Things for the follow Frank.
I appreciate it, man.
I appreciate that a lot.
Brendan Carlo, with good body position, had the stick, his stick just taken away there on a clean play from Edmunds Ina's the puck stolen and effort save big bye to harass another shot is blocked, admits and still haven't slapped on the one timer is Block it again by Boston Sean Corral e That time with the nice defensive play, and we'll just send that one and deep back to get it for the Oilers is Adam Larson, and they will work back in from their own end.
With acceleration, though, here comes Edmondson.
It's hot on the far side stands on the corner.
Brandon Carlo trying to come up with the steal here now Nugent.
Hopkins somehow get stacked up to trick one of the crease, although Chigurh ask, able to cover up as gone.
There was lurking at in the slots of 11 51 to go in the first period.
The Boston Bruins zero.
The Edmonton Oilers zero Here on SportsCastr.
More action from Roger's place in Edmondson.
Coming your way.
It's the first of three games on the Western Canadian road trip for the Bruins.
I'll be back in a flash state soon.
That's NHL action this Wednesday night here on SportsCastr.
Welcome back to the broadcast, everybody.
And thanks for the tip, Frank.
I appreciate it man.
I appreciate that a lot.
Glad you're enjoying the broadcast.
We're just getting going from Edmondson in this one or a little over eight minutes into action and no score here.
Jacob Ross, By the way, his grandmother and mother in attendance tonight.
Jacob Rusk, a native of Ed Minton, so a chance to have his family and its sentence.
And Louie DeBrusk, Jake's father, actually works in the broadcasting industry for the Canadian network covering the game for the Oilers.
So, really Ah, whole family reunion tonight for Jig DeBrusk.
What a special known for him as a Bruin playing back in his hometown.
Now it's on the left wing of Martian centering pass Bird run with the movie shoots in a say no, it's in goal.
The Bruins take the lead.
I couldn't see where the puck was, but it's Patrice Bergeron who gets the first goal of the night, and the Bruins are the first ones on the board.
Patrice Bergeron, with his 27th goal this season.
Well, this was really out of nowhere, where Brad more Sean had it on the left wing centering pass for Persia on a nice move to the forehand and he beat Smith and put it in the back of the net.
It's the Bruinsleading, the Oilers by a score of one to nothing.
Thank you, Isaac, for joining the broadcast.
And thank you, Robert, for hopping in as well.
I appreciate it, guys, you came in.
Just missed the goal, but you came in right on time.
It's one nothing.
Patrice Bergeron Putting the Bruins in the lead over the Oilers here as this one will go all the way down for icing now is a beautiful move by Patrice Bergeron.
I couldn't tell her the puck was at first, but yeah, he did.
Slaughtered by Smith.
It's kind of a delayed celebration from Boston as well.
Not really sure why, but no, that was clearly.
Eagle, what's going on? Isaac? Glad to have you here, man.
Glad to be back on SportsCastr.
I was gone on vacation for a couple of days in New York City.
Ah, as it's school vacation week for myself.
But I am back and glad to be back here on sports Caster.
The Bruins up one to nothing.
We got 11 minutes to go here in the first period of play and now the Bruins looking to double the lead there in the attack.
King's all this buckle get by LA's own.
It's now into the neutral zone with Chase on the Boston Bruins, by the way.
20 to 7 and eight this season when scoring first.
So when they've scored first, Uh, you know, it's most of the time.
Led to ultimate success in the game.
They're going to be an offside called on the Oilers.
Since the Panthers game is at 10 and there's no MBA. You're not broadcasting.
I don't blame you on that Alex Chase on.
By the way, he went to Boss University.
So he sees familiar with the Boston area this game in Edmondson against the Oilers, the Bruins on a Western Canada trip.
Yeah, there's not a lot of sports, really.
It's just like any chill right now at night.
Anyways, there's been Champions League in the afternoon, Um, which was, which was a fun.
I wanted to call commentate Champions League games this week, but I couldn't because I was gone.
Just got back from New York a couple hours ago, But, you know, there were some good games, but next week, hopefully I could do a couple.
I'll know it's gonna be a lot more tough, though, with school, because, um, that's always gonna be tough.
This is the week.
Too bad. I was I was gone for half of it.
But this is the week where I can really do a good amount of, ah, of games since I have no school.
By the way, Bergeron, with his 27th gold Marshawn had the assist, his 52nd of the of the season.
You're going to the Metsfirst spring training game Nice. That's awesome.
In this will go all the way down. Another icing on Edmondson.
There's already been quite a number of them.
Thanks so much guys for being a part of the broadcast past the midway mark of period number one here, 9 36 to go in the first period.
In fact, I don't know why there's a glare here.
It's kind of annoying me.
It's not like I move my couch or anything.
The same lighting as always.
Not sure if the lights got brighter when I left shot from the left wing by Grizzly and Mike Smith able to cover up.
And now Smith is down in some pain here.
We'll see what his status is After this.
That was a bullet of a shot from Grizz Lick.
We'll see how he is doing after this quick break.
9 29 to go in the first Puritans.
The Boston Bruins up one.
Nothing thanks to a thanks to a gold from Patrice Bergeron.
Thanks for the popcorn, Robert.
I appreciate him and I'll be back after this quick commercial break.
Don't go anywhere.
It's Boston Bruins action on this Wednesday night, they're in the lead at the Oilers.
I'll be back in a flash.
All right, Welcome back to the broadcast, everybody, and going back to a little history moment.
The Bruins had have short handed game winning goals in consecutive games for just the second time since 1933 and 34.
The last time it happened was February 27th of March 1st of 1969 when Ed Westfall and Phil Esposito did it.
It's been a long time, folks.
How about that shorthanded game winning goals in consecutive games? That's just really something that's very rare, and the stats will show you just that.
And you know Boston.
They're looking good there, looking good as of late, that's for sure.
Ever since the All Star break, this has been a very solid team, but Tampa's creeping up on them. Just a point back.
It's really incredible a reminder the Bruins will be back in action against the Flames on Friday and nine PM Eastern time.
That puck loose Marshawn couldn't get a shot up, but that's because it was a penalty on egg mention, and the Bruins are heading to the first power play.
The game heading to the box for Advent in Is Ethan Bare? So a golden opportunity here for Boston? Yeah, I know, I know. Isaac.
They did start off pretty slow.
Yeah, you're right that they were, you know, they were all right to start the season.
But now, yeah, they definitely save their energy.
That's for assured.
They are just on its hair right now.
Now, then know where they were, you know, right on the Bruins tails.
So Bear called for slashing Bruins.
The Bruins power play 26% of the season.
That's secondly, but the Edmondson Penley kill is 84% that is third in the league.
So it's a good power play up against a good penalty kill.
That is always, you know, a guaranteed fun.
Two minutes of action.
It's back to the blue lavatory.
Crude crude hasn't high slot fires one in third traffic, say, made by Smith.
Now the Oilers, trying to clear crew, keeps the live.
The backhand pass, though, will be intercepted in front of the crease, and the Oilers will clear it down the length of the ice.
Now it's back for David Posture.
Not with a lot of Open, I said.
He gains the line down.
The right wing will wrap it around the gold for Boston, plays it up the boards to Marshawn at the blue line, Marshawn down low for posture, not posh.
Knock into the circle goes cross ice.
And that will be kept alive by Marshawn, right, the blue line.
Now it had its right wing cross eyed positive with a one timer in a same made short side by like Smith as he makes the snag 104 to go on the Bruins power play.
But a promising start to the power play for Boston.
The Valley Kildow for the Oilers showing why they're third in the league on the penalty kill.
That was a good look from from the Bruins posh Knock sniping that one from the red dot dead smack in the middle of the circle.
A good opportunity.
The Bruins will win the face off your back of neutral zone.
That shot will be blocked.
All right now, the neutral zone in the slot is what I meant to say, and now this one will be cleared all the way back to Matt Grizzly Grizzly Ical ago.
Dia Dia's He finds Jake the Brusque or rather McAvoy.
Now it's McAvoy up ahead.
So on the right wing to dance and hide, and I will let it go back at the blue line for Grizzly Grizzly plays.
It right wing for hiding in his past will be stolen away.
Here come Edmund in short handed shot from the right wing.
It will sail wide of the goal.
It's all the way back in neutral zone of the Oilers.
This one played cross ice taken away by Grizzly Grizzly will send it in deep around the gold for Charlie Coyle.
We'll get past coil to the blue line, played across black crude, the Grizzly back to crew, the one timer I slot and Smith able to cover up.
He's been solid here on the Bruins power play.
That's all that remains here on the man advantage for Boston, 7 11 to go in the first period.
It's the Bruins up one to nothing over the Oilers here.
Glad to have you here on SportsCastr tonight, everybody.
I appreciate you being a part of the broadcast.
All right, coil in the face off for Boston.
He's up against dry style.
The Bruins win it.
That shot, though, is blocked thrillers unable to clear, though.
Shot fired back in from the point, and another block by admits in, and they have killed off the power play.
The Bruins power play. Now it's on the left wing.
Carson Kuhlmann shot, ricochets wide to the far side corner.
It's now Charlie Coyle Coil takes along the end boards.
Thanks Karam for joining the broadcast.
Glad to have you here, man, and that one will deflect off the glass and into the bench. Area.
6 42 remaining in the first period of play.
Had excited, appreciated Karam.
I appreciate it, man.
Thank you very much.
I'm on school vacation this week s o.
I went to a New York City for, Ah, four days.
So that's why I was unable to stream for for the last few days.
But I am back from New York.
Had a fun time there.
Yeah, it was nice to have a have a break.
Yeah, it definitely was Nice.
Would have been fun to commentate that NBA All Star Game.
I'll tell you that much, though.
Oh, well, it was nice to have a little break, but glad to have you back as well.
Khuram the Bruins in action against the Oilers.
MBA returns tomorrow night.
The Celtics will take on the Timberwolves Friday.
I'll be on for that 6 10 to go here in the first period.
The Oilers have it in the neutral zone.
It's now on the right wing plate, up ahead, dry sidles past is deflected.
It goes right back to him, though this will go all the way back into the neutral zone and it will be possessed hereby Ethan Bear bear up ahead.
It's now on the right wing, held back up to the point with Bear Bear finds dry. Sidle.
Try Sidle back to Bear.
Now it's dry cycle.
His shot goes wide left of the goal.
Now it's Shawn Kerr Alley with it for Boston, a rally up ahead to the neutral zone will go all the way down back behind the net with Mike Smith.
Here is Joe he Nordstrom, taking it behind the gold back to the blue line with Matt Grizzly.
Grizzly sends it back in deep for Corral E and now shot fired him from the blue line.
Takes a few deflections, eventually sails wide left.
Now it's played back along the end boards and a penalty coming up on Boston, and it's gonna go against joking.
It's a delayed call here at Vincent's. Still with the puck.
Bear will leave it on and now accelerating with speed.
Is Sam gone? Yea, and getting a piece of the puck there for Boston's Torey Krug and now a stoppage in play for 48 to go in the first period of the first power play opportunity.
The night for Edmondson coming up next is its jokey Nordstrom ending to the box.
The Bruins have a one nothing lead, but the Oilers, with a chance to respond with a golden chance after this quick break, Duggal anywhere.
It's NHL action on this Wednesday night, I'll be back in a flash, they tuned are welcome back, everybody.
So NHL team highs and goals? Well, the Boston Bruins have 200 that is sixth in the league, but they also have less than 150 goals allowed.
The league with 2 13 The Maple leaves to 12.
Avalanche 206 The Capitals to a five in the Panthers, 203 before the Bruins at the 200 mark.
But that girl has got them to the 200 mark.
And their defense has been What's Ah impressed? Ah, lot of us this season as well, so the Bruin family kill 84% that second in the league.
They're going up against the pretty good Ed Minton power play as well.
So let's see how what the Oilers could make of this opportunity, and now this will be stolen.
Remember, the Bruins have back to back short handed game winners, so don't count them out from scoring even when the other team is on the power play.
We got 4 20 to go in the opening frame here.
The Bruins lead one.
Nothing, This one stolen played up ahead for Bergeron's gonna make its way through back to the gold Chander of Elements and Mike Smith, who will leave it back for Darnell.
Nurse nurse passes it back for Cuyler. Yamamoto.
Try to get to dry sidle battle for the puck in the Bruins own Coyle took a stick to the face.
Surely that's a penalty.
No, it's just gonna be a stoppage.
Maybe the pocket.
And that's what it was.
Yeah, my apologies.
I thought that was a stick to the face there.
It looked like it was just the puck, but they do stop.
Playas coil isn't a bit of pain.
I know that wasn't stick, so yeah, penalty is assessed.
OK, I was right.
A whole long sorry about that.
Guys should have trusted my, uh, instinct there, so yes, it was a stick to the face.
So Ed mentions power play opportunity wasted as is now gonna be a four on four.
It's Yamamoto heading the box called for high sticking.
And it's a double minor.
A four minute penalty.
So the Bruins will go on the power play after the four on four.
They'll be on the power play for two minutes and 55 seconds.
Let's see the replay here.
Yeah, right there.
Oh, yeah. Right across the face.
They're gonna look at it to make sure that four minutes is the right decision here on the penalty.
But we'll have to wait and see 3 53 to go in the first period.
So glad to have all of you here on the broadcast.
You're on, SportsCastr.
We'll have four on four for 105 We know that for sure.
It's just how long the penalty will be for, um for Yamamoto.
I'd assume the foreman assessment is gonna be upheld because coil drew a little bit of blood there, so that has to be a four minute penalty.
So we're waiting the resume play here.
It's the Boston Bruins leading the Edmondson Oilers one to nothing.
You're in the latter stages of period number one.
So you have a four minute penalty here and the Bruins laugh a lot of time coming up on the power play once the four on four is over with.
Here is Nugent Hopkins.
You will play it back and now into the neutral zone with acceleration.
Here comes Leon.
Dry side of watch out dry.
Seidl will hold up.
Play the cross ice.
It's now with Ethan Bear.
Bear hasn't the at the edge of the circle.
Takes on the goal line, wraps around the gold of the far side.
It's now with Ryan Nugent, Hopkins, Hopkins to the corner with Leon.
Try sidle, dry sidle.
We'll have that one taken away by David Krejci.
Now here comes Boss, and it's on the near side.
Nice cut by McAvoy.
The referee was in the way there for a second.
McAvoy still has possession plays on that cross for Brad.
Marshawn Marshawn will circle back in the neutral zone, admitted make some changes march on game.
The line at the in the left circle plays it back to the blue line to the point with true crude diagonally, the shot short side by Marshawn deceived by Smith.
Now it's behind the net with Patrice Bergeron.
Bergeron plays it back out for crew crew inside, going in the Nets state made by Smith.
Now it's in the slaughter, admits in trying to clear, and they were eventually able to do so.
Is this box going to trickle all the way down and back? And for David Potter knock.
It takes around the Bruins gold to 40 remaining on this Bruins power play.
After the double minor was assessed to Cuyler, Yamamoto for high sticking, played across trying to connect with Foster.
Knock was Bergeron couldn't quite make its way through as it was stolen before hands.
Now it's in the Bruins end.
Two on one against the boards.
Bergeron comes out with it.
Bergeron plays it on over to Tory crew.
Crude finds David Posh Posh, Not back to Marshawn Marshawn across that puck.
Deflects first around.
Still gets a stick on.
It wraps around for posture, not posture, not back to curve at the point.
Crude play's across six.
Now it's the rights in the right circle.
Tosser! Knocked back ends. This one of the far side.
One timer from Bergeron.
Same made its out.
The pods knock another opportunity, and Smith holds on tight.
Oh, man, David Pastrnak is at multiple opportunities.
This game, especially one timers, just can't quite cash in quite yet.
Well, you gotta feel that gold's coming sooner rather than later.
For Posh ****** was a misfire, really, from birds run that went right to the stick of posture. Knock.
He has 18 power play goals this season as the most in the NHL Foster knock.
So he is especially a threat when the Bruins have the man advantage, although really, at all times, plaster knock is a threat.
Whenever he's on the ice, for that matter 1 53 to go in the power play 1 44 left in the first period, the Oilers will clear this one down the ice.
Stay tuned for the intermission.
Report here on SportsCastr.
It's now Mad Grizz Lick up ahead.
Now it's played across by David Krejci.
It's up against the boards.
Played back around for Crazy creature.
He has a near side at the edge of the circle create.
She holds things up high slot for Grizzly Chris. Look to the right wing.
Now McAvoy fires one in technical function, Smith laying full extension, and somehow the Bruins, unable to score as that puck When? Why the goalpost? It's now back taken behind the Bruins netting around by Matt Grizzly.
Grizzly accelerates in the neutral zone.
It's now in the attacking zone for Boston.
Krug up ahead that passes back to the blue line with grizzly create she holds.
Now it's Grizzly left wing to the slot.
Redirection from Bergeron is blocked on L. A.
And now Edmondson clears Grizzly Quill.
Come out for Boston posture.
Not back in there.
They got 40 more seconds on the power play, just 30 seconds to go in the period.
The Bruins now have to deal with the pluck in their own end.
Nicely done, thereby Marshawn doing his defense of duties.
Now on the far side.
Marshal with a nice move, cuts now to the far side as he passes it over to Bergeron.
Bergeron's backhand pass will go all the way through.
High slot slapshot from pot rock is blocked.
That was an absolute bullet.
They're not sure who blocked it for Edmondson, but he's in a bit of pain.
It was Ethan Bear.
It's a little shaken up after that.
You don't want to get in the way of a posh in our slap shot.
Those consisting and the first period does come to an end, just a few seconds remaining for the Bruins, they only had two shots on goal loud.
That's the fewest of any period this season for the Bees.
So a great defensive effort in the 1st 20 minutes from Boston and they will go into the locker room with their heads held high.
The score after one.
The Boston Bruins won the ed mention Oiler zero here on SportsCastr.
So glad to have you here on this Wednesday night, and the Bruins head to the locker room with the lead.
This leads us to the first intermission report here on SportsCastr and the the Bruins, coming off of a victory at the New York Rangers on Sunday.
So they had two days off their the Bruins.
I was actually in New York City when the Bruins played at the Rangers.
I really wanted to go to that game.
The ticket prices, though we're absolutely outrageous.
Oh, well, but yes.
So the Bruins came out for good win against the Rangers on Sunday.
Now starting there are Western can eke Western Canada.
I should say road trip and Ah, yeah.
The story in the first period was their defense.
They did not let the Oilers do anything.
Looking back on those 1st 20 minutes the Oilers barely had any chance to grasp, might as well have took a nap in goal.
I mean, just solid defense from the Bruins.
Anytime. The always even got in the Bruins.
And, you know, a double team from Boston just threw them off.
As the Bruins continue to come up with steals, then even let any centering passes make their way through And, uh, you know, big, Big.
A lot of credit, I should say to the, uh to the Bruins defense for ah, that first period that they put in.
They lead the Oilers one to nothing in the first intermission.
And looking back on Boston, we can talk about the defense all we want.
But how about the gold? A.
Scored about midway through the first period.
It was march on with on the left wing, a great centering pass to Bergeron.
How many times have we seen Marshawn set Bergeron or pasta knock up? That's I'm setting Bergeron up, but you know the job wasn't done for Burger and once he received the past.
It was a great move in on goal.
A breakaway Chance made no mistake about it, weaving his way through and beating Smith with a nice stick.
Handle the forehand.
And, you know, the Oilers kind of found themselves in no man's land.
That was poor defending compared Thio, the Bruins showing in that first period really a cakewalk.
It can't be that easy for the Bruins, or else they're gonna easily come out victorious tonight.
I mean, the Oilers, you know, as good of an assistant was from Marshawn.
I mean, you can't leave Bergeron that wide open in the slot.
There's just no excuse for it.
It's just something you can't cannot afford to do.
And the Bruins made them pay.
Great defense led to an offensive opportunity that they took advantage of right away.
And it's the Bruins on top of the Oilers by a score of one to nothing.
The first intermission report continues in a moment here on SportsCastr.

A one handed a wrister wide open on the left wing that put it home.
The New England pride against plenty with Plymouth with a chance in front, and that one was slotted in on the rebound.
The Rhode Island sting Whiting on the show but Grizzlies and a nice centering pass from behind the goal on the rebound opportunity to put it away.
And then on play number five.
This shot came from way out that somehow made its way through.
Not sure where the goaltender even knew where it Waas, now on play number for a shot from along the boards made its way through play number three in the Rhode Island.
Sting blew in New England.
Sting game shot on the rebound, and I was slotted far.
Finish their on play number to a lot of move.
It's got the goalie down on her legs in a great finish, turned up in the back of net.
But at play number one, it's a great save by the goaltender as much as the goals air Fun to see.
You got to give the goalie's credit sometimes and a great snag there by the New England Pride Gold Sender.
A great event, the many one on one is for both the boys and girls who get to participate in it.

We know that the ad mentioned dollars are missing.
Many of the players, including some of their top one, is well in condiment David, but they still they still provide the challenge for you guys.
Considering that perhaps in video assessments who haven't been able Thio ****yze really the predictability.
So what challenges are good that Did they provide you guys going forward? Yeah, you know, he said, every time, Uh, there's new players with players were, uh, given opportunity.
You know that they're gonna work really hard and play simple, hunky, that's we're receiving all.

And then Patrice Bergeron getting in on the action, scoring for the Bruins to make it a one to nothing.
Game after 20 minutes of play, we're getting ready for the second period to start here from Roger's place in Advent in Alberta.

Both teams line up a center ice.
Let's get the second period underway, shall we? First period summary.
First off, though, the Bruins out shot.
The Oilers tend to to Bergeron Italians 27th goal of the season, and Marshawn and Posture luck with an assist each on that goal.
I think originally they only credit the assistant Marshawn.
But Posh Knock, also after further review, I guess, has been given the assistance well.
And as impressive as National has been scoring goals, he also has quite a great number of assists as well in the season.
All right, the Bruins just a couple seconds on the power play, which is now expired, they taking the attacking zone the second period underway.
You're on SportsCastr now behind that, givers Brad Marshawn Marshawn takes it to the left circle back for Ciara.

Now it's Leon Dry Sidle centering Pass, Charlie McEvoy there and Rask quick to cover up for Boston for the first stoppage of the period.
1935 to go in the second.
You know, as I mentioned during the intermission, this defense has been incredible, really A since the All Star break.
It's been at THEA top level, quite frankly, and of the first period on a whole nother level and really the same story.
Second period from Boston.
Let's see if they can keep it going here in this period.

Now it's Matt Grizz Lick.
Find Charlie Coyle.
Coyle will set it in deep skating. Onto it.
Is dancing Hainan a risky past, thereby Edmondson, the Bruins takeover.
Still, with the attacking zone, this shot will go through the slot and wide of the goal.
The Bruins, those still battling forward along the near side Arneson ableto plate up the boards But keeping alive is Charlie Coyle for the moment, although the Oilers eventually able to advance the puck down to the other end of the ice and they're able to get some fresh legs out there as well.

Krug on the far side, plays it across for Brennan, Carlo Carlo for ***in.
It will make its way back to Smith. Risky pass.
They're taken away by Brad Marshawn Marshawn closing in on the net.
But nice defense, thereby admonition.
And the Bruins the winning it back.

We'll get out of the reach of him, but out.
Ponch, Doctor on the goal line fires one and it's wide and now a penalty coming up on the Oilers and the late call here.
They touched the pump, the Bruins setting the power play.

Bruins When the face of the attack and so on the one timer is fired wide.

He has been solid in goal.
A lot of stoppages here in the early stages of the second period here and now Marshawn and Bergeron will head to the bench, so the top line for the Bruins will get a break.
I'm sure they'll head back in there before the power play comes to an end that can almost be guaranteed.
It's David Krejci and the face off for Boston, and he wins it.
It's back for Charlie McAvoy.
McAvoy trying to go up the boards, Edmondson take it away, and that one will be sent to all the way in deep around for to go.

It could be more than one nothing at this point.
But I told you earlier, the Oilers power penalty kill Rather is the third best in the league.
The brooms were actually second best, but still the Oilers showing why their power pull it or rather, the penalty kill.
Excuse me is so efficient.
We're back to five on five. Auggie.
Out of the box goes Larson.
This **** now in the corner.
Coming out with it is Caleb Jones.
Jones plays it up ice.
It's now up ahead for Ryan, you Janak.
It's Hopkins Pass will be glove down by Ciara.
This buck will ricochet into the bench area in will require a stoppage in play.
And so the points leaders this season at home dry.

He's tied with Michael Potter.
Knock McKinnon and Matthews, all with 46 then MK David has 45.
Connor McDavid's out tonight.
The Oilers dealing with injuries.
MK David has been out friendly four games now, but dry. Seidel.
You know, he's been he's been incredible this season.
Leads the league in points and Uh, as of late, too.
He's been on a tear, filling in for that loss of Matt of MK David.
Now it's up ahead brooms with the attacking zone.
Trying to connect there to Brandon Carlo was, Ah, believe Dan tonight and but couldn't quite do so.

Mention plays across ice and a little bit too much on that touch and Nordstrom there, the pounced on it off the miscue from Yamamoto.
The oil is able to advance the puck into the neutral zone, although nice defense once again, no penalty on Torey Krug.
Oh, man, I don't know about that.
Call what? To take another look at it.
But as much as Krug argues, the call is gonna stand.
The Oilers setting the power play after this quick break.
Don't go anywhere were about seven minutes into the middle frame.
The Bruins still in there with a one. Nothing lead.
All of the Oilers staying around.
Although the Bruins had been the better team.
Edmondson with a power play opportunity, this quick break.
I'll be right back. Stay, June.
All right, everyone, welcome back into the broadcast.
You're on SportsCastr and Torey Krug called for tripping.
He's in the box.

Play to the right wing.
Back to the point.
Here is Darnell Nurse, the Oilers.
Passing it around here is Nugent.
Hopkins takes to the left circle.
Shot fired, eating grass makes the savory bound.
There multiple chances, and it can't cross the goal line.
Now it's back out to the blue line yet again.
It's on the right wing shot, say, made by rest.
The puck back out for the taking one minute to go in the power play.
Still a lot of work to do here on the penalty kill for Boston.
That's an obvious.
Bergeron gets a stick on that puck.
Edmondson still have it. This plate.
Cross ice Nugent.
Hopkins now has it.
Nurse, nurse finds Hopkins backhand, Thio, Nurse wide open.
Lay in the slot shot sent in and harass covers up and a stoppage in play.
Well, the Oilers had no shots on their first power play opportunity.
The second chance? Very much so. A different story.
Plenty of chances for the segments in team here on the power play. My goodness.
A lot of traffic in front two on that last chance for Edmondson.
The shot sent in by Nurse and ah, we won 11 49 remaining in the second period of face off in the Bruins own.
They're still attempting the clearance, and Charlie Coyle has been kicked out of the face off.
Here is clearly a knot in agreement with the decision.
The Oilers win the draw.
It's not the right point.
Possessed on the far side.
Cross ice in front of the crease.
All multiple chances there, but Rask still holding on to that shut out.
Now it's back in front of goal that it ricochets wide off near sideboards, re sending Deepa and nurses now behind the goal with Benson here is gone yet gone.

The Bruins come out with the steel.
How can they do here in transition to recruit? Plays it out wide to the left wing with Charlie Coyle.
That puck deflects across the crease and the Oilers now have it in possession.
Nurse will hold for Edmondson.
Kuhlmann closing in for Boston with a poke.
The hair couldn't quite come out with it.
Oilers will now send this buck ahead to harass CASS.
It behind his own net.
Wraps it around the boards, reminded the Bruins back in action Friday night, 9 p.m.
When they take on the flames, I'll be on the call for that one along with Celtics Timberwolves, so make sure you stop by for that should be an epic Boston Sports Night broadcast.
That shot is blocked and you're come shake the brusque accelerating.
You can't quite get there before Mike Smith is able to clear into the neutral zone for the Edmondson Oilers.
Now it's sent back in a little risky stickhandling by Caleb Jones in front of his own net but able to take care of things ultimately.
Now look, Zone one handed up the wall, sent right back in by Edmunds in Archibald Shilling the puck for the Oilers.
We're past the midway mark of this game here.
It's the Boston Bruins leading the engine.
Oilers won nothing.
A bad pass there and Kuhlmann six advantage.
The Bruins within the attacking zone.
Jake the Brusque sends it in deep, but therefore the Oilers to take care of it is Benning, and now our chewable sends into the Boston end, although an offside is spotted 9 23 to go in the second period, 9 21 Rather, we got a good one in Advent in Louie DeBrusk, the father of Jake the Brusque doing broadcasting for the Canadian channel.
So ah, family reunion.
His mother and grandmother in attendance tonight as well. It's one nothing.
The Bruins lead past the midway mark of action here on SportsCastr.
I'll be back in a flash.
Don't go anywhere.
The Bruins up, I want.
All right, Welcome back, everybody.
So for the Bruins, their all time leaders and goals well, Patrice Bergeron is fifth on that list at 3 48 and really remarkable career as a Bruin.
And Boston leads one to nothing.
9 21 to go in the second period here on SportsCastr.
As the Oilers win the faceoff, this buck will be sent in deep.
It's now back to the blue line, sent cross ice by Shannon and now into the right circle and a penalty coming up on Boston.
Now it's a hooking call on Patrice Bergeron.
So Bergeron heads to the box and the Bruins once again what the kill off a power play for that Edmondson has here.
So these penalties, you know, haven't cost the Bruins so far.
But they could eventually 904 to go in the period.
Edmondson on the power player.
Oh, for two tonight with five shots the Bruins win the faceoff it sent in deep for Ah, like Smith, Smith will leave it there for Shane.
Sean Corral opinions the puck against the boards on the far side.
The Oilers come out with possession.
It's now behind the Edmunds in goal.
It's now into the neutral zone.
Play the head for Nugent Hopkins.

Dry cycle. Passes it off to Darnell Nurse.
It's on the right wing now back to the point high slot shot, fired in and arrest, stands up tall and makes the save.
Well, the Oilers.
You know, they've had plenty of chances.
They really, uh, picked up the intensity here in this second period, that's for sure.
But still, Rask holding onto that shut out here comes the face off in the Bruins end one by the Oilers.
One time or in a same made the Bruins able to clear the length of the ice.
It's back behind the net.
Here is Leon dry, sidle, dry.
Sidle plays it right wing who sends it around the boards now back with Coyle.
McAvoy up ahead for Chris Wagner.
Wagner as it left wing, but an offside called 08 Holding called My apologies Not offside.
Wow, That's the second time had been 10.
Have been on the power play and have committed a penalty.
Really wasting their own chances.
It's Ryan Nugent. Hopkins.
The one heading to the box.
So four on four Action Coming right up.
I didn't really see much at first glance.
So holding the stick is the official ruling here.
Oh, it happened there.
Yeah, a little tug of the stick there on Charlie Coyle.
So 7 45 left in the period.
Four on four for 41 seconds.
The face off in Edmondson's end is won by the Oilers.
It's now behind the net.
Caleb Jones turns the corner.
It's now played cross ice.
And here comes the Oilers down the other way.
This one wrapped around the boards by Sam Gone.
Yea, Bruins win it right back.
Here is David Krejci.
Creature accelerates, gaining the line plays across ice for Brandon Carlo Carlo with the shot and that goes wide.
Mad Grizzly now has it in the neutral zone for Boston.
Here is Matt Grizz, Lick Grizzly holds things up, plays up ahead for David Krejci Krejci finds Bergeron down the right wing, and now that one play diagonally makes its way through the Bruins, now on the power play the next over a mender.
So they're over four on the night.
But see if this is the time where they break out and get the goal on the man advantage posture.
Knock wrapping it around the goal.
His past back out will go all the way back behind the Bruins gold for Patrice Bergeron.
Jake the Brusque sends it across for Bergeron.
Hit delivered that Bergeron avoided.
Luckily, Marshawn back to Crewe Crewe with a shot to flex wide left.
Now it's pasta, not along the end boards, trying to get it to do brusque.
But the Oilers are able to clear yet again.
Edmonton's been very solid here on the penalty kill all night long while you're gone.
The Bruins called a backhanded shot sales while opposed.
What an opportunity there for the Bruins.
My oh my! And now Edmondson.
Here they come, shot, fired in to grasp deals with it on the effort from Jar Kyra, it's back into the neutral zone center circle.
Ciara plays it up ahead for the brusque shot from the left wing save made and the power play is done for the Bruins, this puck now swung past Nugent Hopkins in the neutral zone.
Charlie McAvoy going forward for Boston.
It's now behind that, and the Oilers will clear it all the way down the ice.
And that's gonna be icing.
So the Bruins still empty handed on the man advantage.
Five opportunities overall in the night.
Cada Decent chance There.
5 16 to go in the second period.
Boston Still in the lead.
This is the score after one period, the shot's buying period.
Well, the Bruins out shot the olders 10 to 2 in the first.

Closing in with one hand.
There for a moment was Josh Archibald, although couldn't quite get a shot off.

All right, let's face off one.
It's back to the blue line, and that shot will deflect over the boards and out of play, 2 30 remaining in period number two.
Dave Tippett, in his first season at the jeweler, said, Coach, 30 to 21 6 record.
The oil or season has been doing pretty decent so far.
I mean, the Pacific Division so close.
I mean, the Oilers.
Right now we're in first place, but they could be, you know, in a wild card spot in a couple of days.
For all I know, you know, it's it's that close and points really a Champ AC Division, 2 20 to go in the second year and now a wraparound pass around the boards.
It goes, it's back for Colby.
Cave Cave sends it back in deep, and that will deflect outta plight and face off will come in.
The Bruins own a lot of stoppages here on this period.
It's been a It's been a slow paced game here.
We're still in the second period, and it's 10 13 Eastern time.
Kobe Cave was a Bruin.
You may remember in 2017 to 19 with Boston in one goal in four assistant 23 games.
He he wasn't a regular with, uh in the NHL with Boston.
Spent a lot of his time in the minors.
This one takes a weird deflection.
Smith had a little bit of trouble dealing with it eventually just covers up the smart move.
Ultimately, 1 54 to go.
Yeah, that one second awkward bounce as it redirected and Edmondson still yet to get that gold on the board.
They've had plenty of opportunities to do so here in the second period.
Brad Marchand has it in the neutral zone.
Plays it across.
I still that pass intercepted by Leon Dry cycle.
Try sidles circles around.
Brad Marchand goes tumbling down.
Now a battle for on the far side.
It's played cross ice taken off the boards on the left wing and now centering past rats, gets a stick on it, and it's clear it as far as the neutral zone and it's now possessed by Ethan Bare.
Bear places up ahead Now in the right wing, Yamamoto finds Leon dry, Seidel dry sidle across back into the neutral zone.
The Bruins, with a chance toe, make some quick changes here.
It's now sent in deep studio.
Ciara has it for Boston, although he has that stripped away from him under a minute to go here in the second period.
Now Laursen has that.
You'll take it all the way back into Edmondson's end.
They will work all the way back into the Bruins own.
It'll be taken all the way along the end boards by Caleb Jones.
Jones now plays it back.
The shot fired in a save made bye to GE Rask and now Jake DeBrusk racing for this one.
Putting the pressure on Jones, This one now played diagonally up ahead and gain the line.
Is Larson now left wing shot, fired in short side.
No problem for Rask on the effort from gate on a house hospital opportunity.
The Bruins, though, clear it, and that will do it for period number two as the horn sounds and 40 minutes are wrapped up here still 20 maybe more to go.
It's a it's a good one.
In Edmondson, it's the Boston Bruins leading the diamonds in Oilers by a score of one to nothing.
So we have the same score as what it was at the end of one.
We'll try to close it out in the third period.
We'll see if they can do just that as both teams head over to the locker room to regroup for the final frame.
And that leads us to the second intermission report here on SportsCastr to Gore asked, holding onto that shut out this far, the Bruins have had solid goaltending all year long.
Whether it's been from her walk or, um, whether it's been from a lock or harassed tonight, it's too harassed.
The Bruins up one to nothing, and the penalty kill in this period has been very successful from the Bruins.
Both teams have no power play goals on the night, but that felt like it was huge for the brooms and they kept committing penalties.
And but the oil are still unable to get on the scoreboard.
And you know, multiple saves being made by Rask on the power play opportunities for the Oilers, and he's come a big time and time again.
I talked about the first intermission, how how great the Bruins defense was the only allowed two shots on goal.
This this period was a whole another story.
It was really to harass, making save after save.
Rasca, you know, could have took a taking a nap in that first period.
But the second period, a whole another story.
But he was prepared.
You got to give him credit making Ah save after save an, the Bruins holding one of that one.
Nothing lead they generate.
They generate a little bit of offense there in that second period.
But you know, not enough for my liking, that's for sure.
They're really depending on their defense.
At that point, they got that gold trying to hold on here.
A second goal would do them very good.
If if they could get a two goal lead, we'll see.
They always They always, you know, have that attacking the threat.
Especially that first line with posture. Not Martian.
And Bergeron, Um so you know, we'll have to wait and see, but yeah, the Edmondson attack, it was in full force from really the very start of the period.
I think they were a bit embarrassed after that first period.
No show definitely were piling on the chances in period number two.
Ah, but you know, the score board would tell you otherwise.
They really should have a goal at this point, but unable to do so.
And so it stays a one.
Bruins lead all blow this game far from over.
I wouldn't be surprised if Edmondson side this up.
I would be surprised if the Bruins bounced back in the third period, coming out on the attack and scoring a goal.
How about a Super Saturday in store for us and really a Super 12 Eastern time Davidson at U Mass.
And Woman's Hoops action Men's Hockey East.
It's Colgate at Holy.
Cross it to that foreign men's basketball.
It's Georgia. Check at Syracuse at seven.
Little at U Mass and some men's Hockey East action for 30.

And I guess that get a little more time assures my inmates to say, you know, we've been together a little bit there, so I hope you do that.
You guys are gonna leave here, but admit impressing where it could be the keys in the third period to shut this down and walk away with the win.
Yeah, You got to keep it out of there.
They're still guys.
Hands trying to stay out of the box and get a good power plan.
You know, two's in the killer's been great for So uh, yeah, like I said straight.
Keep another has and play down the other agent things.
All right, so there you go.
And let's look at the heat zone.
Patrice Bergeron tonight with one goal on two shots of plus one rating.
He continues to be on a hot streak.
She Shane Meanwhile, for the Oilers was cold coming tonight. Tonight.
No points, no shots and uneven rating, obviously with the rulers.
Not Oilers not getting on the board it tonight quite yet.
And, Yeah, the Red Sox, By the way, they are down in Fort Myers getting ready for some spring training action.
I won't be calling any spring training games.
Once the regular season comes around, I will be on the call for those gains for the Red Sox.
I'll be back with more on the second mission report.
