Hello. We are the Cure in and cure in show.
And right now we're going to be debating about the hottest topics in sports, starting off with All Star weekend and we're gonna go through a recap.
But first, let's take time to acknowledge that he's wearing a Dwayne Wade jersey.
I give that a nine out of 10.
I'm sure you all of that.
And I'm not attend to because we all know Dwayne Wade would love nine out of 10.
So give him a nine out of 10.
We give him a nine out of 10 on his jersey, give him not out of 10 on his pants, not attend on everything.
Um, Have a good day.
Okay, so let's get right into All Star weekend number one.
The Rising Stars game was pretty interesting.
Donk. It's hit a buzzer beater.
Um, at half time in the world went up by the world was up as but on the USA as for as many as 20 points.
But the USA was able to come back and win it by 20.
One of the keys to winning that game was really just It's not a big game like so there wasn't too much defense, but they're really pounded the rock inside and shot a lot of great threes.
And the guy's really got hot in miles.
Bridges had a great game.
What are you Thoughts on the rising stars came.
Well, of course, there's no defense like that for all the All Star Weiqing.
Well, but with the exception of the final quarter, because everyone really sweat, that will All Star Game.
But anyway, I think they miles birds have a good game.
J Bear had a good game to um, where he scored 29 points, and but I think it was really impressive.
Was all those lobs that John Maria was setting up for Zion? He sent that one up from, like, half court and Zion just finish it off.
And I think that's one of the fun parts of All Star Weekend.
See how the cool dogs? I agree with that, but also some of the players who aren't as great a dunking like **** kitsch and young.
We're throwing up big threes and hitting them from deep, and that's really exciting to watch those deep threes from Graham Donk.
All those guys and Bridges threw up some deep threes as well as do down quite a few.
I'm insane dogs, and we have a broadcast of the second half.
You can watch that if you want.
We have a broadcast below.
But now let's go into the Taco Bell Skills Challenge and bam out of a bio one that against over Montez the bonus in the final round.
And he wanted over the Pontus a bonus in the final round.
Both couldn't hit Both.
Couldn't hit that three's for a little while, but in the end, they were both able to.
They **** came out on top, and although he's not the best people are cheering.
The royalty got it done and the skills and well deserved to him.
What do you thoughts on talking about? I think that Chris melt him.
He could have won if he didn't, like, dribble the ball off his leg.
I think he came down minutely to centers, and so, yeah, I took them both a while.
Yeah, and all of the guards got This is usually a guard's competition, but the last couple of years, the biggest Biggs had dominated this year the bigs.
They came out and they won.
It was an all Biggs top floor.
No, No guards advanced, do first round.
And really, that was very impressive.
Showing by the bigs.
Next to three point contest.
Mountain Dew three point contest.
Very entertaining for three point for a shooting contest.
Booker looked like he was gonna take it over, but you'll got hot at the end and wanted I'm very happy about that.
I am a Sacramento King Span for reasons I don't have to explain, but yeah, really hot shooting for both and really great showing it by both of them and that they were putting on a clinic, and I really feel like that was are very entertaining match.
Yeah, I think it was fun to watch.
And I thought the in the addition of the Mountain Dew balls from 29 feet out, um, it I think without them, Booker might not have meant to the finals because he was He hit both from in the first round, and then one of them the finals.
He certainly excelled from that spot.
Yeah, um, I thought was kind of cool because the truly elite three point shooters can just knock down logo threes.
But, um, I thought that he old probably to deserve it.
He was going to have money rack, and he asked him for five to win, and he did.
So yeah, really deserved glass shooting from both in the taco.
I mean, the Mountain Dew zone.
It really was interesting.
I'm not sure if they'll keep it.
It wasn't the best.
Um, a lot of players didn't hit those, but, um and that might have been the reason they didn't move on, but really made it a little more exciting.
So I felt like it do was Devin Booker doesn't really showcased his incredible range with the shots now onto the dunk contest.
Which, as you can see, this guy is Jersey.
Nine out of 10 got robbed.
Aaron Gordon got robbed hot take on everyone's mind.
But, I mean, you can't really count out that the fact that Derrick Jones Jr did great as well and really a great showing from the boat they both put on a show I would have loved to see a pat con.
It's been, um, it in there in the finals, too.
Has he have that crazy dunk with Johannes over ya? Honest and hidden gets the backboard against and slammed it down and really put on a great show.
But you can't just go crazy on the fact that courting got robbed.
I mean, yes, it's wrong.
You should have one.
But also, Jones got robbed first.
Gordon did the same dog twice over the same person.
So you really can't go saying, um, Jones didn't deserve it cause he did deserve it.
They both deserve did on our love to code title and the reason that he didn't win that game.
It's the reason he didn't win.
The dunk contest is most likely because of the fact that he hit fall in the back of his head and landed on him when he dunked.
But if he had done that cleanly, I have no doubt that that we've been a 50.
Um, but wait is getting a lot of hate.
He wasn't the only judge to give it a 10.
I don't think I don't think you really can put too much heat on that.
Gordon's not gonna do it again.
I mean, he certainly has that right he's gotten robbed twice, but also you really got to give it to George Jr and the are just one of the best of all time.
In my opinion, he and Derek Jones have some amazing Deng's, and I thought that they all had some great dogs except for Dwight Howard.
He did that one.
It was like a 360 with one hand and that, But then the Superman one that wasn't really such a good dunk.
It wasn't even from the free throw on.
He just, like, caught a pass and dunked it with two hands.
I mean it, it was a Coke can get you, which is not exactly giving points.
The show, as well as the don't gives you points.
So what I mean is like Derrick Jones Jr his whole airplane mode thing with the cake's birthday cake that was really, like, shut more of a show, put on like a show type thing.
This was also more of like a tribute, and that's gonna get you points as well.
And he got a 49 on that dunk It normally it would have probably been like a 40 45 range, but his first dunk, I felt, like, deserved more.
And Dwight Howard, you did have that.
His first drunk, I thought was better than, ah, 41.
You turned around.
He paused with the ball like that, like a statue of Liberty pose and then spun back around.
That was a really good Dunkin, my opinion better than the one he had.
But he wasn't gonna be able to compete with those guys getting fifties on every turn.
Those guys had unlimited amount of dunk stick that he used in.
They probably could have done more.
But I think, um, Aaron Gordon, that was pretty incredible.
Dunking over tackle fall.
But again, he did not clear cleanly.
He was, like, on his head.
Um, and he also used a chance the rapper twice.
So I thought maybe maybe he could have gone for a little more variety.
I mean, it's kind of cool Coast chances, like from Chicago Chicago icon, and she's taking a chance.
But also you got to keep in mind that people don't want to see the same dunk five times over again, and I kind of did about the same dunk.
The most impressive dunk might have been Derrick Jones catching it off the backboard and thorny between.
Also, Gordon had a lot of crazy dunks in really a lot of great stuff all around.
Let's move into you.
The All Star Game and the All Star Game was really impressive, I think the best all Star Game we've ever seen.
Well, the best also game I've ever seen in my lifetime.
I think he would agree to.
I would maybe you give it a nine out of 10.
I was, um the ending was definitely more intense than previous years.
Well, I felt like it was a little, um, lame that it came down to a free throw.
And even with Anthony Davis apparently missing it on purpose, like, make it more climactic, whatever aren't really buy it.
Um, but I also think that this all started, like fouling a lot.
Yeah, I already decided the time charge charges, which was very interesting.
And I love how the n b A and the players made it feel like that playoff game.
And they give quite a few X factors on both teams that we're making great plays.
Leonard got the M v p at a great game Kobe Bryant, M v. P.
And really great game from both sides.
The honest I didn't think you might would have been that competitive with his drafting style.
Um was certainly interesting the way you drafted.
But it looked like everyone had great chemistry on his team.
All my bronze team.
He was kind of yelling at him, but in the end, the Supreme talent one over the game.
And really, I'm not sure that this is last way, cause I don't want I don't think anyone wants players getting hurt, but it really gave us quite an exciting game and the ratings were up right? I think the new format, even though it to make a more intense it didn't make it to that.
The game really tracked out the ends, so I think again, I wouldn't have happened if the players didn't foul so much.
Um, I thought would go pretty quickly because the 1st 3/4 both teams would score like 35 points and they were having trouble gang to 24 points and like the UN time format, so and really I thought that that on top form it made it a lot more interesting.
It did end at 11.
30 Eastern time, which was a little late, but really interesting game.
And really, I think everyone who watched it really was on the edge of their seats for the first time in a long time in an All Star get.
I definitely thought that was worth staying up to watch it.
Um, yeah. I think I like the new format.
Yeah, I hope they keep that.
Um that was all story.
We got weekend for you.
We can do a little maybe 32nd All Star celebrity game.
Last and least all star celebrity game common was the M V P.
Nothing too exciting.
Just a little bit of seeing this celebrity's more of comedy then anything else and even I ski run a yelling at the refs.
Really give us a good time? Um, yes, I really grab.
That's pretty smart Bills, Mafia clips.
The Clippers are probably gonna bring home that title.
Just signed Reggie Jackson, um, bought by bought out, um, by the Pistons.
But yeah, he's probably the most talented best player on that buyout market, so it's a really big addition and the Clippers are really getting anyone Bleeker's wanted.
And right now I feel like if there was a four game series, I think the Clippers definitely will take the Lakers in 67 games.
Now it's dive into baseball.
The Astros are getting a lot of hate for their science stealing Tienda when I think it is deserved that they get this hate because really, they robbed a T Lea of a title twice.
And, no, they didn't rob the bank.
They rob the Dodgers.
We were gonna win the LCS.
We won't go free games at home, but they had their camera.
So they could just on Lee win their home game.
You would have lost the Dodgers Dodgers.
Two rings, I feel for the Dodgers the most out of all of them.
The Dodgers lost two rings out of this sign stealing sent scandal.
Um, yesterday's might only cheated in 17 but it's really starting to seem like No, I don't think that is true.
I'm really starting to get the feeling that they cheated more than one that I mean, But if you have that system and you haven't gotten caught, I really feel like uh, no, that's not you.
No, they're gonna rob.
That is not true.
They cheated throughout the year and threw in the playoffs.
And that's why they had such.
That's why they won so many games at home this year.
I don't think she's Yes, they did go off your rocker.
I'm sorry, but heady but a cheated throughout.
And if you look at the stats, it shows that they were cheating.
So get your facts, right.
So trash cans in the playoff.
Yes, yes, the trash cans were in.
Stadium is like pretty much blame.
Stadium is the same throughout the year.
You don't remove it.
I don't want to the track.
Then really, if you want to come back to us and get your facts right, then sure come do that.
But believe you're making a point that isn't do***ented.
And from the staff, it looks like Ah, it looks.
It really looks like the Astros cheated throughout that year and maybe into the next year.
But, well, we'll see if there's still a lot more reports.
Um, you were right about the I mean, it didn't make a big difference.
You can't just go defending the Astros, and this is this gave them big advantage.
I mean, it gave them a huge advantage.
And that advantage, even if it's just a tiny advantage to it's not fair.
I mean, yeah, of course you could win a World Series.
If you know every pitch, That's how it works, right? That's takes away, I mean, still, But you, the entire I mean, the Astros were talented tenure, Um, and this nobody has got teeth, good tea, But they, um they did not deserve that title.
They don't deserve that title, but I I don't think that you can really take it away.
Taking a ways titles in this sport is hard.
What about batting average? Well, it's a big one in my belly, all the pitches.
Maybe they I would agree with you on this point.
They cheated a bit more in the summer.
I do think that she did more in the playoffs because that was when it really mattered.
But what I think is they did cheat throughout the year.
It's what helped them get such a great record, and they implemented the system early in the year and the fax may the facts don't lie so and don't cheating.
It is summer, even if it's just a little.
The summer is when the playoffs.
Everybody Okay, so, um, the playoffs, obviously the most important.
They did cheat in the summer.
Yes, they were good before that bus.
They were days before that.
And what they turned.
Why do you think they turned this good? They didn't start in the summer.
Why would they implement that plan during the summer? They had that plan throughout the year, and they used it.
And if you look it up, maybe your thing, because their players were great.
It's not because they're players were great.
They had they had.
They had quite a few great players.
And yet getting a little too much hate for this.
I had a great team there.
They might be getting a little too much hate college football friendly, but I mean you still, it didn't make a difference.
It might not have won them the world's.
That might not be that big X factor difference, but it does make a difference, and you can't just go around cheating.
And sure, people do need toe the players have to shut their mouths.
I feel like Jod.
She's like You didn't deserve it.
I said Build Mafia, Rob.
It's because they might have cheated Maurine the playoffs and in the playoffs there's less games and so you're batting average will go up if you're better so small, you really Yeah, it's It's a smaller sample size and still you have to.
I mean, I agree with that claim everyone's gonna remember.
I mean, I think everyone should move on from this too.
But everyone will remember the fact that the Astra cheated and they don't need to take the trophy this This year, they're year will forever be *****ed and their season will forever be *****ed.
And it'll say in the record books that they want the 2017 world Siris.
But they were All the people know we don't need an Asterix.
Everyone won't know, though, that like No, this isn't Spy Gate, but it's not as big as that.
But it affected the outcome of a World Series and what do you I agree with college football frenzy that you need to move on, but you're also gonna need to remember and the Astros.
They are responding to the criticism in all of that stuff.
I mean, the Dodgers, You can't just say the Dodgers wouldn't win that anyway, the Dodgers are a great team that got there two times in a row.
I mean, you really have toe.
Look it how the Dodgers Dodgers do things the right way.
I mean, yes, they got it stopped.
The players have to stop the players.
It's getting too much.
Look up Yankees and annoys me, outlaw.
But I know that we can't go back in time and change anything.
It's gonna bother me for a very long time that that will happen.
But, I mean, we kind of just have to move on, because again, we can't go back in time.
Yeah, I grew that you can't go back in time and change it, but really, I agree with some of your porn bill.
Mafia Robin, College football friends eat like the fact that the that the builds that it might not have affected the world's here is too much and that the Dodgers the players, have to stop.
But also you can't just look back on this and I think that this is all Okay.
This is just allowed.
Something needs to happen.
So this doesn't happen again.
You can't just have the outcome of a world Siris affected.
Um, just like that, huh? I feel like people are blasting Manfred a bit too much.
Um, I feel like you can't really do anything else right now because the Audi grant the players immunity.
Um, if you wanted to get what he wanted and he punished people, I don't think hints, uh, really wasn't ringleader in this.
And I don't just, like, ignored it, Kind of.
I don't think that Hitch was in the wrong too much.
He might have been able to blow the whistle, but all those players that everyone's going to know him as that whistle blower, And I don't feel like that's a great title to get, but I mean, that is true.
It is making that cut.
Looks like a big scar, but this can't just go on ignored.
It needs to be fit, Can't keep up.
And you can't just in the World Series out the outcome of the World Series can't just be fixed.
It can't be fixed.
You saw what happened in 19 bombing we didn't see, but 1919 the Black Sox scandal.
I mean, they got expelled.
This is obviously nowhere even close to that.
But still, you have to make you have to like and make those changes necessary in order to fix this and make sure it never happens again.
And I do agree with that point that is making it look like a big scar.
But really, what you're saying is some of the things you're saying just aren't true.
You can't just e.
You can't just ignore its a little overblown.
Obviously, players players are too annoying about the players going to overboard with it.
They're saying they lost all respect, okay and lose all your respect.
But you can't just go talking about it like that.
And I feel like Manfred has to do this and, yeah, basically, who really just have to? Manfred just has to fix this mistake and move on and really in the future, this can't be happening.
Um, now, quickly, Let's go into the XFL.
Did great again for a second week in a row, really looking, entertaining, Um and oh, yeah, I think the XFL is good.
Um, but it's a little different.
It's obviously different than the NFL, and it's never gonna be as popular, but I think it probably is more of a chance than the A F.
I mean, it's more popular, I think right now, then the expert was also there's more like proven NFL players there.
I mean, I wouldn't say proven NFL players.
They may be like, Oh, market King is proven.
But But he's there, these players that if he's not that old, he's only in his thirties.
But, yeah, really, this except foul, whole thing.
It's all new, this hope football out of the off season.
It's new to everyone, good football out of the off season.
I think we're seeing that in the XFL, and I really hope it continues.
You know it will last longer in the F.
It's not gonna today I flashed like eight weeks.
I see it going past that.
But, um, the thing is, I don't see it's not gonna last too far in the future either.
Maybe like, uh, five years and like that, I can't see this ever becoming a really big thing, like a song that people would.
It's not even remotely close to being like in the same league as the NFL and probably won't ever be.
It's like, um, it's kind of like division to college football.
No, like, you know, I'm saying like it's not gonna No one watches division to college football unless you went to the school.
People watch this because it's football in the off season.
They don't care really how great the players are.
The XFL is more entertaining.
You see these sideline interviews, you see all this stuff.
It's entertaining my end football and really, it's entertaining.
They wanted to be entertaining.
They don't need good football for to be entertaining.
And that's when I really have liked about the XFL.
And with that, we're gonna wrap up this broadcast of the Q and Cure and Show.
Make sure you follow our channel.
Make sure you follow my personal cameras along my partner, Karen, by tallies personal channel, and we'll see you next time on the Karen and carried show
