Hans Tonight Show.
00:00:07
We're going to discuss well, a whole lot we're gonna talk about.
00:00:10
If Tom Brady does leave the New England Patriots, could Jared Stead him handle the load? Is the Patriots starting quarterback? There's reports that Tom Brady and the doing the pages had no movement on their contract talks.
00:00:23
We're gonna look at Why trade? Why the Buffalo Bills trading for the Cardinals? David Johnson makes so much sense.
00:00:32
Reports coming out from the NFLPA is that players want to delay the 17 game season until at least 2022.
00:00:40
Chris Jones is doing everything right to stay with the Kansas City Chiefs.
00:00:44
Rams free agent linebacker Corey Littleton is a must have for the Broncos defense.
00:00:51
There's a report coming out now that the Dolphins are interested in Herbert, and they don't view to, ah, as a slam dunk.
00:00:59
Gonna look at how a saturated, tight end mark it can help the Dallas Cowboys.
00:01:04
Washington faces decisions with Jordan Reed, Ryan Kerrigan and Adrian Peterson, Jimmy Garoppolo and three ways that the Court 40 Niners quarterback and improve his numbers in 2020 Patriots first round draft pick Grant Del, pitting how he'll help the Patriots.
00:01:22
Andrew Whitworth says staying with the Rams is his wish.
00:01:26

00:02:20
Also, don't forget you can check me out on Tech mo whole t e c m o whole dot com where I write.
00:02:28
I'm a football writer on that website.
00:02:31
Ladies and gentlemen, what I do on this show here is I scoured the Internet, finding the best stories, rumors and opinions.
00:02:39
Basically, I keep us up to date on everything, and I fell.
00:02:41
Everything football world and I just talk about football, give my opinion here in there and have some fun.
00:02:47
So with all that being said, I want to get this party started because here DPMNE, we like football.
00:02:53
We like football season and everything that goes with it.
00:02:58
I don't want to start here with a little piece that I was writing today for techno hole cause there's a possibility that Tom Brady could leave the New England Patriots and free agency, and the question that needs to be asked is what Jarod's did have be able to handle the load as the Patriots starting quarterback.
00:03:18
Now Tom Brady is a free agent in the entire NFL universes, patiently waiting for his decision right.
00:03:25
The New England Patriots will have a lot of decisions to make if Brady moves on, including Ken Bill Belichick, hand the starting role to Jared Stadium.
00:03:34
Now Judge STEM has bodies.
00:03:36
Got Patriots fans split kind of in three different sections.
00:03:39
There are three different schools of thought.
00:03:42
One group believes that the Patriots drafted him with the intentions of one day being the starting quarterback of the New England Patriots.
00:03:49
The other group believes that Bill Bell check absolutely wasted a draft pick.
00:03:53
Brian Hoyer would have been a better back up instead and will be nothing more than it back up in the NFL.
00:04:00
I fall into the third group of people who have an opinion but really have no idea what state Ham's gonna turn into now.
00:04:08
He did show all the potential to turn into a capable starting quarterback, but that's the issue.
00:04:14
Still have May forever just be a capable quarterback, a body behind center, and to me, it just seems like he will never be good enough to take the Patriots to the next level.
00:04:25
Right? What's stopping Jarrett Stadium from being the Patriots next quarterback? To me, Unfortunately, it's because he gets in his head too often.
00:04:33
No matter who you cheer for, you cannot deny that Tom Brady will go down as one of the most clutch performers in professional sports stood him.
00:04:41
Can't handle the pressure at all.
00:04:44
The draft networks of this about him prior to being drafted in 2019 quote system has regularly crumbled in big moments and as a result under pressures are poor.
00:04:54
His struggles we struggles when forced to speed up his processes in its concerning cinema's best chance for success comes in a timing based offense that keeps him in rhythm stadium profiles as a quality backup quarterback.
00:05:08
But Hiss ceiling as a starter is low end.
00:05:13
Quote.
00:05:14
Now, if you're going to make the case to give the starting job to stitch him, you could look at two different factors.
00:05:20
Number one stood him actually put out pretty decent numbers in the preseason.
00:05:24
He went 61 for 90 for 731 yards and four touchdowns.
00:05:29
He actually fared better than Jimmy Garoppolo did his first preseason with the Patriots, when he went 46 for 79 for 618 yards and five touchdowns.
00:05:40
Stadium would also be the cheapest option unless Bill Belichick tried to find the next starting quarterback in the 2020 NFL draft.
00:05:48
But if you're gonna make a list of potential quarterbacks.
00:05:51
Where would stick him really sit on that list? Bring it to me, clear the musket fire said quote.
00:05:56
By far, he's the cheapest option on the list chair.
00:05:58
Instead, AM could see himself thrust into the starting position next season if the New England Patriots choose not to spend cap space or draft capital on bringing in a new quarterback.
00:06:09
Despite struggling in the limited regular season plane time he was given as a rookie.
00:06:14
Stadium showed promise in the preseason, putting up 731 passing yards and four passing touchdowns over the course of the entire preseason.
00:06:23
Whether or not Stadium was just inflating numbers against second and third string defense's is yet to be seen.
00:06:29
But with New England facing an expensive off season ahead, sit him, six figure salary could be a big reason in him being named a starter for the Patriots End quote.
00:06:42
I think at the end of the day, Stadium would do a fine job, but nothing more Stadium could be a good stopgap, but Bala check would need to find a permanent solution to the Patriots quarterback situation sooner rather than later.
00:06:57
now moving on from that and staying with the Patriots for one more topic here.
00:07:02
I want to share with Do Report that came out today by Isaiah Who? The Patriots.
00:07:07
Why're quote era titled Report? Patriots Tom Brady have no Patriots and cooperative, no movement on contract talks, and it goes like this.
00:07:16
Free agency begins in a month in the New England Patriots.
00:07:19
Have begun contract talks. Haven't began.
00:07:22
Gun talk contract talks with Tom Brady, according to ESPN, is Mike Reiss Brady, 40.
00:07:29
Brady's 42 has no plans to retire.
00:07:32
It hasn't gave any indication on what his future plans are.
00:07:36
There are reportedly 10 teams who have interest in Brady but re still believes that there's an 80% chance that he remains with the Patriots.
00:07:44
The legal tampering period opens up on March 16th where teams can negotiate with players.
00:07:50
On March 18th free agency officially begins, and there should be a much clear scope of his future.
00:07:57
Reese elaborated the situation.
00:08:00
It is officially one month until the start of the March 16th legal tampering period, when teams can negotiate with representatives for upcoming free agents, which narrows the timeline for Brady craft in Bala check to come together and have that all important meeting to set the table for whether Brady will be back in New England.
00:08:19
The Patriots are expected to see clarity on Brady's intentions before the start of free agency on March 18th because it's his decision will have a significant trickle down effect on the team's overall plants with no movement to date.
00:08:33
I'm sticking with the 80% odds on Brady's return at this time.
00:08:38
Quote unquote, the Patriots waited too long on Rob Gronkowski is decision last season, and it became a regrettable situation.
00:08:46
Gronkowski retired after free agency began in.
00:08:49
It left New England with a few options on the board, resulting in a subpar tight end group in 2019.
00:08:56
New England will have to act quickly this year of Brady leaves because there's only a handful of viable starters and free agency, and the Patriots would have to rely on the draft or second year quarterback Jared Stadium if they couldn't replace Brady with a veteran.
00:09:12
The countdown is on, and the Patriots will likely have until the start of free agency to strike a deal before they have to move on.
00:09:21
I for one AM sick and tired of hearing about the Tom Brady situation I'm sick of hearing about.
00:09:25
He's not talking about contracts is going to go to the Raiders.
00:09:28
He's going to stay with the Patriots.
00:09:30
It's getting a little bit tighter.
00:09:31
Someone is a Patriots fan.
00:09:32
I'm not even nervous anymore.
00:09:34
I just want it resolved so I can move on with my life.
00:09:37
As someone who talks about the Patriots and on a regular basis on My Dear Pats Nation Channel.
00:09:42
It's still called the PM Sports talk, but has my just Patriots Channel tired of talking about Tom Brady? What was my topic? Conversation day? Jared's dead, and could he take over for Tom Brady? I would just left some clarity so we could move on with this, but I want to move on from the Patriots for a few minutes.
00:09:57
I want to focus on the A F C East.
00:10:00
This came out from Ryan Talbot on and why up dot com It's called why trading for the Cardinals David Johnson makes sense for the Buffalo Bills will go through the article.
00:10:09
Obviously, I'll give my opinion.
00:10:10
It goes like this.
00:10:11
Running backs are a dime a dozen.
00:10:14
It's something everyone who follows the NFL has heard before, and there may be some truth to the statement.
00:10:20
The Buffalo Bills, under the 2019 off season with LaShawn McCoy, is their lead back.
00:10:25
The team's added veterans Frank Gore and T J.
00:10:28
Yeldon and free agency before eventually drafting Devin Singletary in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft.
00:10:38
By the end of the summer McCoy.
00:10:40
But by the end of the summer, McCoy's Buffaloes, most well known player, was released.
00:10:45
Frank Gore handled the workload early into the season, and but by the end of the year, it was Singletary who was Buffalo's lead back.
00:10:52
And it wasn't just in Buffalo.
00:10:54
This year's Super Bowl featured the Kansas City Chiefs of San Francisco 40 Niners.
00:10:58
Damian Williams led the way for the Chiefs on the ground with 104 yards and one touchdown in a losing effort.
00:11:04
San Francisco had Rahim most Art, who got 58 yards in the score.
00:11:09
On the ground.
00:11:10
Both backs were former undrafted free agents entering 2020.
00:11:15
The Bills will have Singletary as their lead back, but the team will need to find a compliment for their back.
00:11:21
Frank Gore is not expected to return, and it's too early to say if yelled in is the answer.
00:11:27
Buffalo could find, AH, a compliment in the middle rounds of the draft or sign it back in free agency.
00:11:33
But trading for a back is another option.
00:11:37
One name to consider is Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson.
00:11:41
Why Johnson adding the veteran could have an additional Parker to Here are four reasons why the Bell should consider add in the back.
00:11:51
Buffalo has the cap space.
00:11:53
The idea of the Bills adding Johnson was first proposed by Hayden Links of Rotoworld, as mentioned by Wings.
00:11:59
Buffalo has the cap space to take on Johnson's deal.
00:12:02
As it stands, Johnson is do 14 million in 2020 and 12 million in 2021.
00:12:07
Buffalo certainly has to cap space to take on that deal if they wanted.
00:12:11
Quote. Cutting him is not an option.
00:12:13
End quote.
00:12:14
Cardinals GM Steve Time said on Friday.
00:12:16
Not only the cap it, but you're still paying the cash.
00:12:19
I wouldn't be respond.
00:12:20
It wouldn't be responsible for me or the eye organization to do that.
00:12:24
If Johnson isn't the starter.
00:12:25
He still has a significant role.
00:12:28
The guy still creates can still create big time mismatches in the passing game.
00:12:32
He still brings kick returning ability.
00:12:34
You can't just have one back.
00:12:36
You have to have a platoon of backs.
00:12:38
There aren't enough carries to go around there.
00:12:41
End quote time, of course, cannot come out and say that Johnson is on the trade block block.
00:12:47
But ideally, the Cardinals would like to move him.
00:12:50
Arizona wants to restart signed Kenyon Drake, too, and a new deal would put a lot of Arizona's cap space at the running back position.
00:12:58
What would the Bills get for taking on Johnson's salary? Let's see below.
00:13:02
The Bills could get a valuable draft pick or two back along with Johnson.
00:13:07
According to ****s, a team trading for Johnson could receive 1/3 and fifth round pick along with the back.
00:13:13
What would the Bills or another team have to send Arizona and return 1/7 round pick? The cap savings alone for the Cardinals would help the team great.
00:13:22
Thompson, of Cover one, proposed a similar deal that would net the Bills 1/3 round pick.
00:13:28
Bills GM Brandon Bean has stated on numerous occasions that his plan is to build through the draft.
00:13:33
Adding an extra day to end or a day three pick in the draft full of talented wide receivers and high ceiling offensive tackles is an intriguing idea.
00:13:42
It's also another weapon for Josh Allen.
00:13:45
Brandon being did a good job at in talent to Buffalo's offensive roster last season, but it was clear that the bill still lacked weapons on offense.
00:13:53
Johnson may not be the back he once was, but it's still another weapon for Josh Allen in the backfield.
00:13:59
In addition to being a handcuffed to Singletary as a back, Johnson is a tremendous receiver, taking out the 2017 season in which Johnson only played one game.
00:14:08
The back has averaged over 50.
00:14:10
5 receptions of 538 yards per season.
00:14:14
Short term compliment for Devon Singletary Devon Singletary is expected to be the man in the back field of Buffalo and 2020 and beyond.
00:14:21
He still needs a compliment, however.
00:14:24
David Johnson would be a tremendous asset to Singletary.
00:14:27
Few players were better in open space than Johnson during his best years, and Singletary could lean on and learn from the veteran, much like he did Frank Gore in 2019.
00:14:38
Johnson, meanwhile, could look to resurrect his Buffalo.
00:14:42
The Bills invested plenty of money into the training facility last year, and it paid off with Buffalo being one of the healthiest teams in the league last season.
00:14:50
12 punch of single Terrian Johnson would benefit the Bills offense in 2020.
00:14:55
That's the article.
00:14:56
Here's my opinion.
00:14:57
The Buffalo Bills like having a veteran running back in, especially with Devon Singletary.
00:15:02
Let me make it clear, and I think I made it clear a lot this season.
00:15:05
I loves the draft pick of Devon Singletary as a Patriots fan.
00:15:08
I wish the Patriots would have done it.
00:15:10
Johnson is probably the Buffalo Bills brought in Johnson.
00:15:14
It would make the Bills offense that much more scary.
00:15:17
You put that in couple that with the idea that Greg Olsen could be returning to the payer, could be signing with the Buffalo Bills.
00:15:25
It just shows you how crazy this could actually turn into and what this could actually be for the Buffalo Bills.
00:15:34
It's absolutely insane that they could get this good and get a player like him but having that kind of cap space and being able to put it around your young team and especially not just getting a good young player, getting a veteran player that you can afford getting the draft picks in between.
00:15:49
Like the article said.
00:15:50
With the offensive lineman and the wide receivers who were in this draft, 1/3 round pick could actually be a very high ceiling.
00:15:58
Now I want to move on to this, and this has to do with the new C B A Mrs coming from Drac Brown from the score.
00:16:03
And he put out an article day. Same report.
00:16:05
The players want to DeLay 17 game season until 2022.
00:16:10
The NFL's desire to add 1/17 regular season game is one of the major obstacles and negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement, and the Players Association is eyeing a compromise.
00:16:22
While the league wants to implement the plan as soon as possible.
00:16:26
Players are pushing to delay the 1st 17 game season until 2022 or 2023 a source told pro football talks Mike Florio, the N f L P A.
00:16:36
Arrived at the stance because many players are under contract well beyond 2021 the time is needed to device a system that compensates them for the extra game, according to Florio.
00:16:46
The NFL in the n F L P A.
00:16:48
Meet Thursday for the latest round of C B A talks.
00:16:51
According to the NFL network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafalo, the current agreement expires after the 2020 campaign.
00:16:59
The players will enter Me will enter the meeting with a final list of their demands, and a vote is likely if the owners agree to meet those wishes.
00:17:07
Players ever expressed health and safety concerns regarding the leaks push to expand the regular season, with many saying the current 16 game slate already takes significant physical tolls.
00:17:18
San Francisco 40 Niners cornerback Richard Sherman, who serves on the NFLPA executive committee, has been among those vocal critics of the 17 game season.
00:17:28
Prior to Super Bowl 54 Sherman blasted the league for what he sees as a hypocritical stance on Playershealth quote.
00:17:35
I've always it's always odd that when you hear playerssafety, Indiana is the NFL's biggest concern concern, Sherman said on January 29th according to the Wells Doonesbury of the South Florida sons.
00:17:46
Centennial quote.
00:17:48
They're they're really standing up for a player safety playerssafety player safety.
00:17:54
But it seems like Playerssafety has a price tag player safety up to a point, then.
00:17:58
Hey, 17 games makes us much more money.
00:18:01
So we really don't care how safety are.
00:18:03
If you're gonna pay us that much money to play another game, that's the point that's really concerning for us as a union and as players.
00:18:12
They think players have a price tag on their health, and I don't think that we're in the same ballpark in that regard.
00:18:18
Players have been more aware of player safety in longevity and just life after football.
00:18:23
End quote.
00:18:24
On Wednesday, Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell said that the data proves adding a 17 game wouldn't impact the health of the players.
00:18:35
So that's gonna be a really interesting story to follow.
00:18:38
Um, well, remember a little while ago, there was some talk about the NFL p A.
00:18:42
Sending out notices to their players.
00:18:45
Tell them, save your money.
00:18:46
We're probably going to go on strike and now it looks like they're getting closer and closer to a C B A.
00:18:51
I think that that's 17 game season is gonna be the biggest hiccup.
00:18:55
The NFL owners have seen it concede to a lot of the other player of the other demands of the players union just to make sure they can get it in.
00:19:02
I'll keep you updated as new stories come along, but now I want to look at the A F C West.
00:19:07
Chris Jones is doing everything right to stay with the Kansas City Kansas City Chiefs.
00:19:12
That's an article put out by Matt Corner of the Arrowhead addict, and it goes like this.
00:19:18
Can the Kansas City Chiefs really allow Chris Jones to walk away when he's done absolutely everything right? Since he's a ride in town, the Kansas City Chiefs face a very difficult decision.
00:19:29
And there's not an obvious answer, at least without access to one Arrowhead. Dr.
00:19:35
What should the franchise do with regards to Chris Jones? Future with the team? Do they sign Jones for a long term and somewhat try to squeeze another $20 million commitment into a budget already set the burst? Do they let him go even in a trade and watch an ideal citizen on and off the field, leave the place he loves.
00:19:57
Every NFL team has to make painful decisions like this.
00:20:00
It's the very point of the salary cap to keep competitive disadvantages from forming between owners and the deepest pockets that have deep with deeper pockets and others.
00:20:10
Just watch Major league Baseball these days to ask how popular it feels to have a rich get richer before an already long season gets started.
00:20:19
Some teams are great at this.
00:20:20
The New England Patriots have become synonymous with being cold hearted and calculating.
00:20:25
Did you play through an entry? Didn't matter.
00:20:27
Fan favorite fans will cheer for anyone.
00:20:29
Community hero.
00:20:30
Someone else will come along on Li.
00:20:32
Tom Brady.
00:20:34
The rarest of talents was the above the heartless franchise model that let every other sort of contributor walk if they were role players at best.
00:20:44
For the Chiefs, there's a solid argument to make against keeping Chris Jones.
00:20:49
That actually has nothing to do with Chris Jones.
00:20:52
The other day, my son asked me if we could adopt a particular puppy that we saw, and I told him No, it had nothing to do with the puppy.
00:20:59
We like the time, the money, the space, the lifestyle for raising a puppy right now, The puppy could be a future rescue hero or an amazing companion.
00:21:07
It didn't matter.
00:21:08
Ah, look at the cir***stances other than the puppy itself dictated the answer.
00:21:13
I'm assuming it runs the same way internally at Arrowhead.
00:21:17
I have no doubt that everyone top to bottom on the organizational ladder loves Jones of the player and person.
00:21:23
But it might have nothing to do with the player at all.
00:21:26
It's about financial space.
00:21:28
It's about needs at other positions and incoming talent where Jones plays.
00:21:32
It's about resource allocation when other factors are going to be a dynasty, that much more that going to make a dynasty that much more difficult.
00:21:42
These are the days in which the chief's cannot afford to make such mistakes with all.
00:21:47
But all of this still feels wrong to say about Jones.
00:21:49
After all, Jones isn't just a contributor.
00:21:52
He's a Dominator.
00:21:53
Think about this other than Aaron Donald, many players and coaches would likely identify.
00:21:58
Jones is the single most disruptive talent that along the defensive interior.
00:22:03
If disrupting the quarterback is the quickest path to defensive success than having one of the NFL's best, especially someone still so young simply has to be a priority, right? Jones joined the Chiefs as a second round pick in 2016 NFL draft as a prospect with a questionable motor and inconsistent performances on game tape, the otherworldly strength was there.
00:22:26
The surprising quickness and elite pairing of size and athleticism was already in place, but a team had to know whether or not you could unlock his drive on the highest level.
00:22:37
Four years later, the Chiefs have a clear answer. 2018.
00:22:40
Jones set an NFL record for consecutive games with a sack with 11 and he finished third in the league that year with 15 and 1/2.
00:22:48
This year, he finished with nine sacks and 20 quarterback hits.
00:22:51
Despite missing three games due to injury and four years, Jones has had 72 quarterback hits, 33 sacks, seven forced fumbles and 20 batted passes.
00:23:01
And he's still learning.
00:23:03
There's no reason to believe that Jones stealing has been reached.
00:23:08
What's even more impressive is that Jones could really blossom further and Steve Spagnola system after having a full year to learn its nuances.
00:23:17
He's also developing further chemistry with Frank Frank Clark, and other such teammates.
00:23:21
What's the next step beyond Elite? Is Jones on a Hall of Fame trajectory? At this point, it's too early to tell.
00:23:29
But Canton is certainly not out of the question.
00:23:32
Even Maur Jones is a fan favorite for Chiefs Kingdom.
00:23:36
It's impossible not to love the guy for all this swagger and antics.
00:23:39
Together with Clark up front, he gives the chief's very real teeth and the defense that was recently quite toothless.
00:23:47
They talked to talk, and they follow it up with very real pressure.
00:23:51
Just ask Tom Brady how much he enjoys having Jones in his face.
00:23:56
There was a brief moment that Jones thought about holding out, but he ended up reporting last year to training camp on time, despite the fact that he wanted a long term deal done even then.
00:24:06
Since that moment, Jones has been a model citizen and Casey and has been clear, and it has been clear time again, in his words, that he wants to stay a member of the Chiefs for the rest of his career.
00:24:17
Fans likely feel the same Jones's captivating tow watch on the field and hilarious off of it.
00:24:23
He's endearing and intimidating.
00:24:26
He's a sort of player that makes you say, **** so glad he's on my team.
00:24:31
But it's that earlier word feels that's likely gives it away to my side.
00:24:36
Maybe it's the emotion that's getting in my way.
00:24:38
Perhaps a successful general manager, owner and front office executive is the one who was removed from the emotion.
00:24:44
If players are reduced to numbers on a spreadsheet that maybe letting Jones go is easier to stomach for fans.
00:24:50
However, for those of us outside of one Arrowhead Drive, it's hard to stomach the thought of Jones plane elsewhere, where the marriage here is so clearly healthy.
00:25:01
How my good old friends of the chief's kingdom I love, love, love reading, chief stuff and more in particular just because it always amazes me like I think about some of the things that happen around the Cheese Kingdom.
00:25:19
I think about something like that.
00:25:20
Guy was ready to hold out there like, you know what, but he wants a long term deal.
00:25:24
He was gonna hold out, but he's been a model citizen since then, So he's okay in my books, you know, and Patriot fans to do the same thing.
00:25:33
I'll say it, man.
00:25:34
Patriot fans get along.
00:25:35
They do the exact same thing.
00:25:37
They forgive guys who probably shouldn't be forgiven.
00:25:39
I think there's a lot of people that I keep hearing screaming about Danny Amendola.
00:25:43
People know my opinion on Danny Emmons all. I think he's ungrateful.
00:25:46
I think that he left in the worst possible way.
00:25:49
He won two Super Bowls with Patriots, went to three of them, you know, uh, had his career was garbage prior to come in New England.
00:25:59
And he left talking a lot of smack about Bill Belichick pager fans forgiven because Danny Amendola, I maybe I'm just I'm getting cynical, the older I get.
00:26:07
So maybe that's my problem, as I continue to be cynical towards players.
00:26:11
But the guy I really wanted to walk out on this, who's gonna walk you out again? But I'm gonna stay in the A F C West.
00:26:17
I'm talking about the Rams free agent linebacker Corey Littleton, and how is a must have for the Broncos defense.
00:26:22
This comes from Travis Wakeman of the Broncos wire.
00:26:26
It goes like this.
00:26:27
The newly gear in the NFL is just over a month away and it will be highlighted by the start of free agency.
00:26:33
Currently, according to Over the Cap, the Denver Broncos have 61.
00:26:36
9 million available in cap space.
00:26:40
That opens the door for the team to be aggressive after watching the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
00:26:45
Denver should have all the motivation and needs to go after upgrades for the team Onley.
00:26:51
Five teams have more money to spend in the Broncos.
00:26:54
One name that may not jump out is the biggest available yet.
00:26:57
Should is the Los Angeles Rams linebacker Corey Littleton.
00:27:01
Signing a player like Little Tin would almost certainly included Team the team releasing Todd Davis, who was stout against the run and lead the team in tackles.
00:27:09
This past season, Though, Davis is coming off a good season, Little Tin would be a big upgrade.
00:27:16
Undrafted out of Washington and 2016 Littleton has been an absolute stud for the Rams.
00:27:21
It has positioned himself to make a wad of money this offseason.
00:27:24
As a result, the Broncos would have to be willing to win.
00:27:27
What is sure to be a bidding war for his service is in four seasons.
00:27:32
Littleton has registered 315 total tackles, eight and 1/2 sacks, six interceptions and four fumble recoveries.
00:27:39
One statistic that jumps out is his 26 pass deflections of big number for a linebacker.
00:27:45
But that isn't surprising.
00:27:46
If you've watched this guy play, you will be hard pressed to find a better coverage linebacker than Littleton.
00:27:52
The thought of him in victory in angles, phony ghosts.
00:27:58
Fangio's defense lining up next to Alexander Johnson on the inside with Von Miller and Brady Chop outside is quite enticing.
00:28:07
He is super athletic.
00:28:09
He's one of those guys who is always around football.
00:28:12
Check out his play from Super Bowl 53 against New England Patriots.
00:28:15
Little Tin would command a pricey contract, but the Broncos need guys like this to combatant the team in their own division that just won the Super Bowl.
00:28:23
As the Broncos prepare for the big board of free agent targets, Little Tin needs to be near the top of the team's wish list.
00:28:29
That's the article.
00:28:31
Let me talk a little bit about Littleton.
00:28:33
You all know if you've been watching me for a long time.
00:28:36
I am a defense guy.
00:28:38
I love defense and Littleton is a guy that I have fallen in love with.
00:28:43
If you want to take Dont'a Hightower, Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins and matched them all in the one player.
00:28:50
To me, that's Littleton.
00:28:52
Ah, that's why he's gonna make a huge amount of money this year.
00:28:56
That's why he's going Thio.
00:28:58
I hope he doesn't go to Denver.
00:28:59
I hope he stays in the NFC.
00:29:00
I don't want to see that guy in the A F.
00:29:02
C where we have the possibility of playing them more, but Denver makes a ton of sense them A because they'll have the captain.
00:29:08
Pam B.
00:29:10
He's the kind of linebacker that's built to beat a Patrick Mahoney's defense.
00:29:14
Now he obviously can't do that on his own.
00:29:17
I'm not stupid.
00:29:18
I'm not sitting there going Oh, yeah, this guy's gonna wreck the Chiefs singlehandedly, but he is good enough to be that guy who can be, you know, he's gonna have to be that guy who can put them over the edge like that so it Denver can get their hands on him.
00:29:34
Good for you.
00:29:35
I know the Patriots can't afford him, so he ain't coming in New England.
00:29:37
Ain't gonna be a part of my team is not gonna be wearing my jersey.
00:29:40
What does the defense guy? I am a huge, huge, huge fan, a little tin man, and I hope that he could do something with Denver.
00:29:51
Now.
00:29:52
This was the most interesting report I saw today Came up from.
00:29:54
Jack Brown of the score came up kind of early this morning, but apparently the Miami Dolphins are interested in drafting Herbert because they don't view, too, as a slam dunk, and that could put the turn the draft on its head.
00:30:07
So the Miami Dolphins have long been believed to be one of the most likely landing spots for to attack a viola, but the former Alabama quarterback as competition for the A F C East team's interests at number five overall pick.
00:30:20
Miami doesn't view Tango Viola as a slam dunk near the top of the draft, and it's option of ex Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is increasingly positive, Sources told the Miami Herald's are Armando Salguero.
00:30:36
The Dolphins are concerned about tangled by take Abiola's injury history and long term durability.
00:30:41
According to Saleh Guerrero, Chua is reportedly expected to make a full recovery from a fractured and dislocated hip he suffered in November.
00:30:51
However, he also don't dealt with various other injuries during his college career, including multiple ankle ailments.
00:30:58
Herbert, meanwhile, impressed scouts with his both his performances during the Super Bowl week and committal to attending the game in January, sources told Siegler.
00:31:09
The signal caller also possesses the prototypical size.
00:31:12
At six foot 6 £237 the six foot take a Viola won't throw for teams at the NFL scouting combine, which is set to take place on February 27th of March 1st.
00:31:23
Instead, the quarterback will perform in front of scouts at his pro day in April, Heisman winning pastor Joe Burrows, while they expect to be taken first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals.
00:31:34
In the scores latest mock draft, the Dolphin snag Herbert despite the availability of Taegu Viola, who was projected to be drafted immediately after to those Los Angeles Chargers.
00:31:47
That kind of threw me because I didn't see that one coming that wasn't on my radar, as the Dolphins no longer interested in to, uh but the reasons that they're not interested or the same reasons as the Patriots fan.
00:32:03
I don't want him to be the next starting quarterback of the New England Patriots.
00:32:07
The injury.
00:32:09
I don't like the injury history because he did.
00:32:11
It's not just the hit people I've heard people not fully familiar with two es seeing how you know the hip is healing.
00:32:19
Everything's gonna be fine.
00:32:20
I'm like, Yeah, yeah, the hip is fine and it's healing.
00:32:23
But what about all his ankle injury injuries? He had, He had a shoulder ailment.
00:32:27
The guy's been dealing with injuries throughout his entire college career, and you could just see him go further and further and further down the draft.
00:32:35
Now, as a Patriots fan, I'm gonna tell you why I'm excited about that.
00:32:40
Because that could push Jordan love further down and possibly land on the Patriots lap for that 23rd overall pick.
00:32:48
Let's head over to the NFC.
00:32:51
I want to talk about the Dallas Cowboys.
00:32:53
Angel tourists of the Landry Hat wrote an article today.
00:32:57
Call this saturated tight end mark.
00:32:58
It could help the Dallas Cowboys.
00:33:01
The Dallas Cowboys could be in luck this off season with the potential oversaturated tight end market, which can drive prices down one of the positions of need the Dallas Cowboys will have to address will be their tight end position if they decide to bring back tight end Jason Witten, another player will have to be signed to compete with the current roster.
00:33:22
Much of the charging of some Cowboy fans Witten could end up back in Dallas.
00:33:26
I'm not opposed to the idea as long as he is not the featured player at the position.
00:33:31
I believe he could be a beneficial as a role player on this team.
00:33:36
Tight end Blake Jar win is who A lot of cowboy fans wanted to be the primary target in the off season.
00:33:43
His work between the hashes and up the seams on the field was the true threat to the defense.
00:33:49
The only concern is his ability to be an inline blocker.
00:33:53
Most players gained strength from offseason toe off season, but Jarmon simply doesn't possess the strength that consistently be ineffective blocker on the team.
00:34:02
By no means am I running jar went out of town, but I do believe on all around tight end is needed.
00:34:09
Recently released Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen would be a nice fit if it was five years ago.
00:34:16
His injury history and age make a marriage unlikely.
00:34:20
Los Angeles Chargers in Atlanta Falcons tight ends Hunter Henry and Austin Cooper are good options, but both would probably ask for top of the market deals that would be too rich for Dallas to become players.
00:34:31
Indianapolis Colts Tight and Eric Brahm is too similar to Jar Win to really make sense.
00:34:37
Hypothetical trade candidates include Tampa Bay Buccaneer tight end O.
00:34:40
J.
00:34:41
Howard or Chicago Bears Tight and Trey Burton, although both of those would require something in return.
00:34:46
And the dollar amount associated with both might be non negotiable for this team.
00:34:51
The hope.
00:34:52
That idea.
00:34:53
The Pittsburgh Steelers make tight end Vance McDonald available this offseason.
00:34:56
McDonald is 30 years old and as a club option, a $6.
00:34:58
5 million coming off a year where he only caught 38 passes.
00:35:04
The Steelers could move on and find a younger, cheaper option if McDonald's club option is declined.
00:35:10
I really think that he could flourish with the Dallas Cowboys.
00:35:13
McDonald shared time with current Detroit Lions tight end Jesse James and has allowed him to have be are allowed him.
00:35:21
They have the best run blocking great amongst tight ends with at least 100 snaps played in 2018 according to Pro Football Focus.
00:35:31
What would the trio picked our of McDonald, Jarman and Witton open up? For the Cowboys wide receivers, however, it's going to be.
00:35:38
The trio would arguably be the best collection of tight ends on any team in the NFL.
00:35:44
Some critics would ask.
00:35:45
If McDonald's is so good, then why didn't he? Why did he have such a down year? The answer.
00:35:50
Simply come down to quarterback play.
00:35:52
Pittsburgh had quarterback Carousel this year, and combined with that, MacDonald being a single primary tight end, were big contributors.
00:36:01
Coming to Dallas would put MacDonald in a familiar position of sharing time.
00:36:05
Getting a dominant run blocking tight end with above average passing skills would be a great get for Dallas.
00:36:11
Currently, it's an either or proposition.
00:36:14
With the current players under contract, the Dallas Cowboys don't need a prima donna.
00:36:19
When it comes to the tight end position, there are already enough mouths that need to be fed on the offense.
00:36:24
The Cowboys just need a tight end who can come in coming with his lunch pail and generate movement at the line of scrimmage.
00:36:33
The Dallas Cowboys O R.
00:36:39
The Dallas Cowboys are really, really interesting team in the NFL, because on paper, they should be really, really good.
00:36:47
But we saw exactly what they were.
00:36:50
They have talented receivers.
00:36:51
They've got a decent quarterback.
00:36:53
They've got one of the best running backs in the league.
00:36:56
Offensive line.
00:36:57
Pretty good, solid defense, every intangible that they should be a legit playoff contender, let alone Super Bowl contender.
00:37:05
Here's the problem, though.
00:37:06
They don't have the lunch pail guys, and that's what I've been saying forever.
00:37:09
They had a lot of flashy guys.
00:37:11
Amari Cooper, Zeke, Dak.
00:37:13
They had those kind of boys.
00:37:15
They didn't have the blue collar guys.
00:37:16
They didn't have the role players.
00:37:18
When you think in New England, when you think of you know the big contributors to Super Bowls Malcolm Mitchell, you know James White, who's a who's a roll guy? James Wait is 1/3 down.
00:37:30
Running back. He is not a superstar.
00:37:32
He's 1/3 down running back.
00:37:35
You know Kyle Van Noy, Jamie Collins.
00:37:39
How many superstars the New England Patriots win with not a whole lot, man but you got the guys who put their fingers in the dirt, make some plays and go about it that way.
00:37:50
So I think there's a hole.
00:37:52
There's a really big option of things that Dallas could do to try to get a little bit more blue collar because the more they stay. Really, really.
00:38:01
I don't know prima donna.
00:38:04
As they like to say it's going to make things worse for them.
00:38:09
There's a big, tight and market this year.
00:38:11
Man and teams were looking for tight ends.
00:38:13
We're gonna have a ton of options, and some of those sign is gonna work.
00:38:16
Some of them aren't.
00:38:17
It's gonna be interesting to see what Dallas could do now the Washington Redskins.
00:38:25
I have to look at some and make some decisions.
00:38:27
Some of their veterans I got Adrian Peterson, Ryan Kerrigan and Jordan Reed and a Sharon Williams of pro football talk wrote about today, saying.
00:38:36
By hiring Ron Rivera on December 31st Washington got a head start on its evaluation to the roster that led to Friday's roster moves with the team cutting receiver Paul Richardson, quarterback Josh Norman, defensive lineman Chris Odom and safety Kenny Lad Lor, it freed up some $16 million in cap space.
00:38:58
The biggest thing that air quote the biggest thing that we did in terms of evaluation was we literally came together on February 10th as a coaching staff and as a pro scouting department and personnel department, and we evaluated our entire roster, Rivera said this weekend via Ben Standing of the athletic dot com.
00:39:17
Based off that we started making the moves.
00:39:21
More decisions remain with the more transactions expected.
00:39:25
Washing is expected to move on from tight end Jordan.
00:39:28
Reed, who missed all the 2019 with 1/7 no concussion, reads released, would create 8.
00:39:34
5 million in cap space past Russia.
00:39:37
Ryan Kerrigan has an $11.
00:39:38
5 million cap it with Washington expected to use the number two overall choice.
00:39:44
To get Chase Young, the team almost must decide whether to exercise that final year of running back uh, Adrian Peterson's deal Quote.
00:39:54
We're evaluating our options, Rivera said.
00:39:56
We've had a good young group of guys and we're just looking at all the things in deciding whether or not we want to go that way, continue to get younger or do what we have to sit there and Sprinkle in some veteran guys. End quote.
00:40:10
Here's my thing, man.
00:40:11
If you are the Washington Redskins, you need a complete overhaul.
00:40:18
You need to change the culture.
00:40:19
You need to change the thought process.
00:40:21
You need to change the way that people think about inside the organization.
00:40:27
You started changing the top.
00:40:28
You got a new coach.
00:40:30
I got no issues with them moving on from veteran players, even if they want to move on from a guy like Adrian Peterson.
00:40:35
And I'm not saying Adrian Peterson contributed to a bad culture.
00:40:39
But he's unfortunately, a part of that bad culture because he was there during it.
00:40:43
Bring in the young guy, build a new fresh culture.
00:40:47
If you're going to bring in veterans, I go spend money on a guy like Kyle Vanoy to bring in the Patriots culture a little bit into that locker room, entice a little bit with veterans.
00:40:57
No, with your current group, your current group in Washington.
00:41:00
It was a disaster for how many years, so I think that they got to do that.
00:41:10
And then when it comes to um, to their tight end, when it comes to Jordan Reed.
00:41:16
I mean, I think that is, that has to.
00:41:19
He's got to consider his career, man, when you think about who you're gonna be as a person later on in your life, how many more concussions think about the damage that he's doing to his brain? And and I have no right to give an NFL player career advice, man.
00:41:38
But as a human being, seven concussions, it's just gonna be so brutal to his long term health.
00:41:49
And I wish him the best man I really do.
00:41:53
I want to look at the 40 Niners now.
00:41:56
Jimmy Garoppolo.
00:41:58
This came from Nathan Berman of the Niners Noise and Jimmy Garoppolo in three ways that the 40 Niners quarterback can improve his numbers.
00:42:05
2020.
00:42:06
It goes like this.
00:42:08
The San Francisco 40 Niners quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed his first full season as a starter.
00:42:14
It was a pretty successful year, But like most quarterbacks, there's always some room for improvement.
00:42:20
Niners knows our Niners noise looks at how Jimmy Garoppolo can best himself in 2020 all.
00:42:27
San Francisco, 49 a quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo does is win in two games as a starter in New England with the Patriots.
00:42:33
Grapple won each game, and its 1st 5 starts is with the Niners.
00:42:37
He won all of them in 19 regular season games between 2018 and 2019.
00:42:42
Jimmy G.
00:42:43
1 14 of them.
00:42:46
Even.
00:42:47
He even has a winning record in the playoffs with two victor victories and one loss.
00:42:53
A lot will be an already being made out of Garoppolo in his first Super Bowl start, which ultimately resulted in a 31 to 20 defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.
00:43:05
But it's important that we, as fans, the media, et cetera, not completely basis performance off just one game.
00:43:12
Yes, the Niners had a lead.
00:43:13
Yes, he had.
00:43:14
The rest of the team got overpowered in the fourth quarter, however, who was the quarterback behind two different centers all season long, who led the team to 13 wins, the NFC West title and a Super Bowl appearance? Jimmy G. Did.
00:43:31
When you play a full season for the first time in your career, you'll amass career highs in 2019.
00:43:36
Garoppolo passed for 3978 yards through for 27 touchdowns, tossed 13 interceptions, and he even ran for 46 yards.
00:43:45
But here's the thing.
00:43:46
Garoppolo can get even bigger, even better.
00:43:49
In 2020 he finished in 12th month amongst the league leaders in passing yards, sits tied and fifth for touchdowns, and is on Lee in the eighth spot in interceptions.
00:44:02
He also finished just behind Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson with a four game winning drives.
00:44:08
Wilson had five, and if Garoppolo can work on his accuracy, reduced the amount of time in the pocket and continued to gain valuable starting experience, he'll have another season of career highs.
00:44:21
All right, so let me talk about Jimmy G.
00:44:27
Let me talk about Jimmy G.
00:44:39
First of all, No, I'm not gonna be better.
00:44:43
I'm not going to Petty hears that they met.
00:44:45
I don't think that Jimmy G.
00:44:47
Jimmy Garoppolo is a superstar.
00:44:51
I think he's good.
00:44:53
I think he's better than most.
00:44:55
I think he sits in the new elite level of quarterbacks, but the gap between him and Patrick Mahomes is huge.
00:45:04
There's no debate when it comes to Jimmy Garoppolo Mahomes.
00:45:07
Perhaps right now there could be a debate between him and I don't know, Lamar Jackson.
00:45:12
But if Lamar Jackson is another scene like you just had, that debate is over.
00:45:16
I don't think there's a debate between him and Russell Wilson, you know.
00:45:22
So when you start kind of putting those kind of things together, it kind of shows you where he sits.
00:45:27
Think about Tom Brady 2010.
00:45:31
That battle between Who's better, him or Peyton? You know, Roger's and Brady the fight, Rogers and Breeze.
00:45:38
And I'm not here to debate all.
00:45:39
Here's why Brady's better.
00:45:40
Here's why this guy's better.
00:45:42
Just that was sort of the upper echelons.
00:45:45
You know.
00:45:46
Brady, Brees, Rogers, Peyton.
00:45:50
Then you had that second tier, which was like Eli, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, you know, and so a Tony Romo and so on by that point, Donovan McNabb.
00:46:10
And that's kind of where Jimmy Garoppolo sits right now.
00:46:13
I don't have them in that top.
00:46:15
ASHA wants of Mahomes, Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson like, I really don't I have him sort of in that second tier, where it's like him and going through.
00:46:29
Maybe Josh Allen.
00:46:34
You know, um, did Shawn Watson, who's on sort of the peak of trying to get into the by the top tier, but I got him a za level two.
00:46:43
Jimmy Garoppolo is a tear to quarterback, you know, and I just got a comment on four on SportsCastr, and that's actually great comparison.
00:46:55
Grapple probably sits ahead of DAK, but you could.
00:46:59
That's probably where the comparison goes when you start having the argument about who's better so Grapple could get better.
00:47:07
But he's not really the upper echelons of quarterback that I think some people believe him to be or some people think he is.
00:47:15
I think he's a tear to guy, great quarterback, great cornerback.
00:47:19
But he's not an elite.
00:47:20
He's not that top tier guy.
00:47:24
For now, let's see what he does, All right, this is another piece that I want to share with you that I was working on for a techno hole.
00:47:33
So almost everybody on the planet believes that the New England Patriots will be addressing their wide receiver in tight end positions in the 2020 NFL draft, and they just might.
00:47:43
But pro football focus has the Patriots taking a safety with the 23rd overall pick.
00:47:50
Wants in need are two very different things.
00:47:53
The Patriots absolutely need to address the wide receiver position, and Patriot fans want the Patriots to find a new receiver and free agency or through the draft.
00:48:07
But the Patriots have other needs that they need to fill.
00:48:10
And with New England's long time defensive captain Devin McCourty slated hit free agency and the Patriots not having a whole lot of cap space to resign, Bill Belichick may just have to turn to the draft now.
00:48:23
Grant Del Pit, six foot 3 £201 junior safety coming out of the National Champions.
00:48:29
L S u Granville, F or Grant Help.
00:48:32
It was one of the SEC is most dynamic defensive players across his final two seasons and bats on Rouge Ah, he was earned the first team all SEC recognition in consecutive seasons, unanimous All American honors and claiming the Jim Thorpe Award in 2019 as the nation's best defensive back.
00:48:51
He brings a lot to the table, and he projects favorably to become a high impact safety in the NFL.
00:48:57
He's versatile, physical, urgent, smart, athletic, and his skill set is perfect for matching up against the pace and space present in today's NFL offenses.
00:49:10
Tackling has been in normal notable wart in his film, but he improved considerably in 2019 playing with more control and wrapping up with more consistency.
00:49:21
His presence will make an NFL, but dump it has all the intangibles to step up and be a playmaker right away.
00:49:28
I also get very excited about the prospect of him transforming into one of those top elite safeties in the league and keeping the patriotssecondary sound.
00:49:39
Pff wrote this when they talked about the Patriot.
00:49:41
Dropped 23rd said quote. Dump it.
00:49:44
It's the sort of coverage chest piece the Patriots covet.
00:49:47
He has the special man coverage ability for six foot 3 £203 safety and has all the tools to be a tight end eraser type of the next level with Devin McCourty.
00:49:58
Set it.
00:49:59
Free agency safety qualifies as a need as well.
00:50:02
End quote Now.
00:50:04
Last year, the Patriots Jaff drafted Juan Williams, who has been seen, is or was seen as one of the smartest, if not the smartest football minds in last year's draft, and it's expected that Williams versatility and his vision he could one day development toe one of the better to top quarterbacks in the NFL.
00:50:23
There was also a belief that Williams was a dream player for Bill Belichick, and those people turned out correct when Ballot Shack traded up to get him.
00:50:31
And now, though, Delp, it hasn't been giving these smartest player in the draft title, his profile seems to be very similar to Ji Juan Williams.
00:50:40
It wouldn't be surprising to see Bill about check trauma matches Two guys up along with J.
00:50:44
C.
00:50:45
Jackson, who will be entering his third year as a professional in 2020 Bell check, has a chance to make the Patriotssecondary a whole lot younger and build a young core that competes at very high levels for a long time.
00:50:57
Now, crabs of the draft network out of this quote, Grandell pet projects is an impact defender at the NFL level.
00:51:04
Tackling issues are in the open field.
00:51:06
May put off some teams, but he's physically capable of booming hits, and his foundation is a player is pretty rare blend of skills, making him an enticing, every down defender that could be a centerpiece toe.
00:51:18
Weekly game plans help.
00:51:20
It has high football intelligence.
00:51:22
It can handle any number of roles of responsibilities.
00:51:25
I didn't into a roster will add infinite flexibility to back end coverage combos end quote If we're gonna be honest, the draft hasn't gone well for Ballot Shack and the Patriots over the last couple of seasons.
00:51:38
Duke Dawson was a bust.
00:51:40
Sony, Michelle, Isaiah Win and to kill Harry still have a lot more to prove if Bala Jack really does plan on replacing Devin McCourty in the draft, and he needs to make sure that he hits this pic right on the Patriots offenses on very shaky ground right now.
00:51:56
And the defense needs to continue to be good.
00:51:59
But losing leaders and play makers like McCord, e Cal Vanoy and even possibly Jamie Collins.
00:52:06
Bill Belichick cannot afford any mistakes while he is retooling while he is retooling this roster.
00:52:17
And I got one more story for you guys that I want to share from Cameron to Silva of Ram Wire called Andrew Will worth staying with Ramses, obviously his wish before I shared.
00:52:28
Just so you know, as soon as the story is done, I'm gonna switch over, answer your instagram and Twitter questions.
00:52:34
You can also leave any questions you have now.
00:52:38
Any questions you have now on to SportsCastr or comments, and I will acknowledge those as well after I get through the social media questions.
00:52:47
Let's get through.
00:52:48
Our last story will go from here.
00:52:49
If you are watching on the gridiron rant on YouTube, you and you want to ask a question.
00:52:53
You do have to come over to SportsCastr.
00:52:55
The Link is in the description in this week and asked a question or send it to me tomorrow or tonight via Instagram Twitter at DP An underscore Ray and I will answer your question on tomorrow's show so Andrew Whitworth might be 38 years old, but he's planning to play another season in 2020 which will be his 15th in the NFL.
00:53:17
Where he'll be suiting up, however, is still up in the air as a pending free agent.
00:53:22
Whitworth is set to hit the market in March, and there will certainly be suitors for the veteran left tackle.
00:53:29
The Los Angeles Rams have seen him play at high levels despite being on the wrong side of 35 allowing just one sack in 2019 and playing nearly every single snap.
00:53:41
It seems the two sides are destined to sting to gather next season.
00:53:45
But the decision will likely come down to the Rams feelings rather than Whitworth on Sirius X M and Exams NFL radio This week, Whitworth once again made it clear that he would love to stay in L. A.
00:53:58
For me, I think that's obviously my wishes to stay in Los Angeles and continue with the Rams, Whitworth said.
00:54:04
I just think there's a lot there that I have left to do in a leadership and play and everything else.
00:54:09
If it works out great, and if there's another opportunity somewhere else, I'll be ready.
00:54:17
So I mean, that's kind of where we are now with this story, and we really got to just kind of figure it out.
00:54:27
With no better options currently on the roster, the Rams could be wise to bring back Whitworth for another season.
00:54:35
And at the right price.
00:54:36
It's just a matter of determining that price, giving their style re restrictions now.
00:54:41
Well, Words is a veteran.
00:54:43
He's gonna find a job somewhere, and, you know, that's really all that is to it.
00:54:51
I mean, not overly concerned, not overly anything.
00:54:55
We'll just have to see exactly what happens.
00:54:59
All right.
00:55:00
Gonna it now turn to your questions.
00:55:03
I will answer them the best I can for people who aren't Patriot fans.
00:55:08
Majority of the page request will tell you this right now.
00:55:10
Yeah, this one comes from my boy, Joe.
00:55:17
Uh, it's more of a comment, but it's a good comment. Not a question.
00:55:20
One thing we his fans have to remember is the best player doesn't always mean the best fit.
00:55:27
And we've seen that 100 million times in the past.
00:55:31
Right play for the New England Patriots.
00:55:34
You need the right players to play for the Patriots, you know? I mean, look, Antonio Brown seemed like a perfect fit for the Patriots until week one finished or weak to finish, and then he was no longer a perfect fit.
00:55:44
There's a certain piece of the culture that fits, and we've seen guys look at Michael Bennett.
00:55:51
Think about way back how excited we were.
00:55:53
At least I'll talk about how excited I was that Michael Bennett is a part of the Patriots and how that just blew up in everybody's face and that just kind of the way it goes sometimes.
00:56:04
So Joe I think that your comments dead on 110% right? Anthony says, should stuff on Gilmore take a pay cut to help with salary cap? No, Um, I I think that if they were gonna do nothing with Gilmore would be restructure his contract and maybe give him a little bit more money, but be able to move some of the salary cap deeper down the line is what comes from Nikki.
00:56:30
Do you think the Patriots should release Rex Burkhead? Endorse sat while Nikki Dorset is a free agent.
00:56:35
So he's already gone, and I don't believe they should trade door set.
00:56:39
I believe they should try to trade here.
00:56:41
Ah, berk credibly that you try to trade him.
00:56:43
If they can't, then yeah.
00:56:47
Ah, this one comes from ****.
00:56:49
If a bee gets mental, help a mental health help and has someone managing the social media, will he be back too? But the only thing in this way it was comeback is Robert Kraft and Roger Goodell.
00:57:02
So if you mean back in the sense of if you mean back in the sense of in the NFL, I believe that he could be back.
00:57:12
Um Is he back with the Patriots? I doubt we will ever see him back with the Patriots ever again.
00:57:20
Um, you can leave the Patriots and come back, okay? It's not very often that you burned your bridges with the Patriots and, ah, you know, burn those bridges and get another chance, and I just I don't see it happening.
00:57:37
And, well, just you know, that's just the way it have to be.
00:57:44
Um, is there a trademark it First, This is from Joe.
00:57:53
Is their trademark it for Seenu, Birkhead, J.
00:57:55
Mac or any of the other players we can think can be cut.
00:58:00
I think that there's a trademark it from Muhammad's knew his conscious six 0.
00:58:04
5 million at this time of year.
00:58:05
Maybe a little bit of an issue.
00:58:07
Specialist teams are trying the trademark.
00:58:09
It would probably come after the free agent blitz and what happened more around the draft.
00:58:13
Ah, I don't know if there's a trade ad for Ah Birkhead again.
00:58:17
I'd rather they trade him, but it's tough to trade a running back, you know.
00:58:21
And I was discussing in that one story tonight where is basically saying that you know the story was basically saying, like, you know, running backs are a dime.
00:58:30
A dozen was talking about the Buffalo Bills, right? So, um, and I don't think that there's I think J.
00:58:35
Mac will just could just be cut.
00:58:39
Um, Okay, Joe.
00:58:40
So you asked me how would build pal Jack and Josh McDaniels used a Navy's Malcolm Perry.
00:58:44
To be honest with you, I have no idea.
00:58:46
It's gotta be straight up and honest.
00:58:48
Um, I'll do some research and I will answer that on a different day if you can stay page with me.
00:58:55
Ah, Nathan wants to know.
00:58:58
Why is Tom Brady not made a decision yet, Nathan? Ah, basically, because Tom Brady doesn't have to.
00:59:07
He put it in there that they can't use the tag on him.
00:59:10
He wants to go on a free agency.
00:59:12
He wants to explore its already come out that Robert Kraft has agreed to it, and and they think it's better.
00:59:19
So, um, you know that he explored.
00:59:22
So that's why Trevor DDE Trevor asked me so funny questions.
00:59:30
Um, what's your favorite Candy? Reese's pieces.
00:59:36
If you could try and travel, where would you go? Ah, no idea to be honest with you. No idea.
00:59:45
Ah, my doctor.
00:59:46
I'd have to really think about that.
00:59:48
If you were given a superpower, what would it be? I want to fly, man.
00:59:52
Who the hell I white.
00:59:53
Does anybody know? I wanna fly? Isn't that everybody? Superhero power? Thank you for your questions.
00:59:59
I say Ask me whatever you want, man.
01:00:02
Nazem Joe again.
01:00:04
What's your family dot et cetera? Think about the XFL.
01:00:08
We like it, man.
01:00:10
We like it. We think it's entertaining.
01:00:12
We think that, um, McMahon's doing things right.
01:00:15
Like I said before, he's not going head to head against the NFL.
01:00:19
Um, we think that as his team's as, um you know, this year's draft will make it better.
01:00:25
Guys that don't get drafted may want to go play in the XFL and not be, you know, practice squad guys.
01:00:31
Um, I think there might be some kids that skip out on college to go play in the XFL.
01:00:35
Lot less rules they have to follow.
01:00:39
Right now, we're getting all this sort of scrubs of the NFL who were playing there by and and they're doing well.
01:00:44
Don't get me wrong.
01:00:45
I mean, I call them scrubs, which is so disrespectful because they're all of them.
01:00:49
All of them are 1000 times the athlete that I am, but we like it. We like the transparency.
01:00:55
We like the transparency of the referees and the and the replay and all that kind of stuff.
01:01:01
Yeah, and I've only really talk to my dad about it.
01:01:04
Um, as I see more, family and friends will talk more.
01:01:08
I just I haven't been out in a while.
01:01:10
I should go out too busy on here with you guys.
01:01:15
Ah, but we like him in.
01:01:16
We like it.
01:01:19
Um, we like it.
01:01:20
And, um, that's entertaining again.
01:01:24
We have no allegiance right now, So it's it's tough to really get into game form or, you know, to me, the XFL is more of a background thing.
01:01:31
I have it on as I'm doing other things, you know? So, like, I had it on on on Sunday or Saturday.
01:01:36
I was preparing for the show.
01:01:38
Had it on yesterday is what we're painting our house.
01:01:41
You know what I mean? Like, it's, it's and I watch.
01:01:43
It's like I'm not not watching, I'm watching it.
01:01:46
It's just right now we don't really have an allegiance.
01:01:48
I know I'm in L.
01:01:49
A Wildcats fan, but it's hard to be a Wildcats fan right now.
01:01:53
And I'm a I'm a bandwagon and jump to the D C defenders. I don't know.
01:01:58
Um, we like we think it's very entertaining.
01:02:01
And, ah, we hope that it stays because it's probably for alternative football leagues is probably the best one we've seen a long time.
01:02:11
Cannot remember where this one came from was a direct message, and I should have probably screenshot of the name.
01:02:17
Ah, but it's a sire.
01:02:18
A.
01:02:19
I have a question.
01:02:20
Do you think Bebe would consider trading Gilmore whether it's for cap space, draft picks or No, no.
01:02:27
Uh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:02:37
All right, there's your questions on social media.
01:02:40
Um, I didn't get I didn't get a lot of duplicates, so if I didn't say your name and say, you know, this person asked me. I apologize.
01:02:47
I just got a lot of duplicates.
01:02:49
Um All right, let me start it out.
01:02:57
Do the 40 Niners win Super Bowl? 55 or 56? I think they got a good chance to, especially with that defense that they have.
01:03:05
Um, when you got a defense that good, they definitely have an opportunity.
01:03:10
I would put them definitely one of the top five doing Super Bowl.
01:03:14
How many players on your big Bart board so far to Joe? Too short in love.
01:03:22
And, um Ah, God, George, you know me and names.
01:03:30
Ah, how's his name? I just talked about him and Grant Hill.
01:03:33
But Adele Pit, I've just really started doing you know me, Joe, I don't do any Um, I don't do any any offseason stuff during the season and then the season kind and, like, I really didn't do it.
01:03:47
Started doing my offseasons, thinking the special on the draft until after the Super Bowl.
01:03:54
Because even though the Patriots were done, I'm you guys could see him kind of making a transition with SportsCastr and techno hole, where I'm doing more football, not just all patriots.
01:04:03
So now is when I really started thinking about the pages drop for right now.
01:04:05
I got those two guys.
01:04:07
I've probably put Jared Pickney on there.
01:04:10
Um and the day is moss.
01:04:17
That's why I got right now.
01:04:18
That's my board right now. It'll get Fuller.
01:04:21
I've been looking, I've been looking.
01:04:23
I've been looking up and looking, so it's coming.
01:04:27
I heard Brandon Williams is a possible cut for the Ravens.
01:04:30
Can you see the papers past throwing some money at him? He's a big run stuff.
01:04:34
Yeah, Um, a biggie weighs like £330.
01:04:36
2 eyes, 30 years old.
01:04:39
I believe around that.
01:04:42
Um, I think he could be if the if the Ravens cut bait, he's one of those guys that could be a cheap option.
01:04:48
That's why I love defensive tackle, because you can actually get some pretty solid defensive tackles. Cheap.
01:04:54
I think there's a very real possibility the Patriots re sign Adam Butler re signed Danny Shelton and get a guy like Williams.
01:05:01
Um, so that's actually willing.
01:05:06
Just a really good thing.
01:05:07
I hadn't heard about the possible cut, but it's definitely something we keeping an eye on now, man, because it's a very intriguing piece and um, I think he could be a really good run stopper.
01:05:20
I know that Joe and he is like a Malebranche.
01:05:22
You're 100% right and Joe and I disagree on formations.
01:05:27
I think the Patriots play better in a 43 He thinks they played better in a 34 I think, bringing in a guy like Williams, at least when they play in a 43 he'll be a more solid piece and they had before in that interior, I think, and I think you could also, you can actually shift Lawrence, guy who can actually play a bit of an edge.
01:05:46
You could shift him over and put Williams in the middle.
01:05:49
So it's, um because even though they played a primarily 34 this did play some 43 you know? I mean, they will play for three, and I think you could be a big piece of that and I would keep.
01:06:01
Danny Shelton is my 34 nose guard, To be honest with you, he would be my guy with Butler and guy, but I think you put Williams in the 43 especially an obvious obvious run.
01:06:11
Situations 100%.
01:06:15
No way that burger go to Buffalo, right? No, again, I just think that if you're gonna trade your training for a guy like Johnson, you're not training for a guy like Birkhead.
01:06:24
Um That's it.
01:06:26
I'm pretty happy how Jones is running in Houston.
01:06:28
Yeah, I've watched one Houston game, so I'll give you talk to me like weak ***.
01:06:34
It'll probably be a better idea of the players on what to doing.
01:06:38
Bearcat is Ah, for the Patriots markets.
01:06:41
You're the man.
01:06:42
Everybody give my boy Marcus a big hand for coming out here tonight. Marcus.
01:06:45
He tags me on everything on Instagram, and he makes videos and he takes videos off my videos and put him on Instagram.
01:06:54
He lets me use his pictures on my video.
01:06:56
I appreciate markets.
01:06:57
You're my boy, man.
01:06:58
You keep going.
01:06:59
And I love your talk to Alexis videos.
01:07:02
They make me smile, man.
01:07:05
Um, I'm looking forward to seeing the prospects in the draft that you look for the lookout for special teams.
01:07:15
Ah, look around gunners around kickers because I guess I kind of have a kicker.
01:07:23
Um, I only have one kicker that I'm really kind of looking at that I want that I could maybe put on my board for the Patriots.
01:07:29
The draft and they can't get their hands on him.
01:07:31
I just want to go with Kostovski this year I'm not a big fan of the kickers in the draft this season.
01:07:37
Um, I think there's a lot of inconsistent.
01:07:38
There's one guy I like and I'll talk about him a little deeper on another day.
01:07:44
Ah, he's technically a 34 end, but I think he can really play anything I think you can play anything to.
01:07:50
I think I think that, ah, he can play anything to, um and ah, it's, um he played So he played 43 with Baltimore.
01:08:10
Because Harbaugh has a really interesting defense because he goes 3443 He's kind of like a ballot shack where, even though you might have a primary Aah! Primary formation, you can switch it up.
01:08:22
I think you'd be great.
01:08:24
Um, you know what, Joe? When it comes to gunners and who we're gonna you know, looking at Gunnar's, I would just stick with veterans right now.
01:08:33
Um, I would just stick with veterans right now, and, um, like Bethel and Slater, because if they change the kickoff rules because some gunners are better on kickoff.
01:08:51
So I mean, the patriots are really unique about how good their gunners are on the kickoff and on punt return.
01:08:58
Some guys are better kick return gunners.
01:09:00
Some guys are better.
01:09:01
Punt return Gunners.
01:09:02
The Patriots happen to have two guys in Bethel and and Slater That can do both.
01:09:07
Really, Really well.
01:09:09
I want to see.
01:09:10
I think they're gonna change the kickoff rule.
01:09:12
I really do.
01:09:13
And then that changes how you shape your special teams.
01:09:17
So I may be waiting.
01:09:20
I might not have been doing anything until the competitive meeting.
01:09:24
Ah, yeah.
01:09:26
And you're right.
01:09:27
And Mexican logs.
01:09:28
Right? Um, Jason Jackson's also really good gunner on plants.
01:09:31
Um, I might be waiting to see until the competitive competition committee looks at this because I'm I'm if they go the same thing this season that I'm okay.
01:09:41
But ah, I'm telling you, if I'm drafting this year, I'm drafting for plants, not for kick off, because I think the kick returns gonna leave.
01:09:50
I think it's gonna go.
01:09:54
And without being side guys, Jackson did want Jackson block that once later ran it in for a touchdown.
01:10:01
Correct.
01:10:02
That was the block that put it in for the touchdown.
01:10:04
If I'm not mistaken.
01:10:07
All right, guys, I'm exhausted.
01:10:12
The hard our you guys think this is easy.
01:10:14
This ain't easy, man.
01:10:15
This is a lot of talking.
01:10:16
And I've noticed the last three nights my voice starting to go at the end of it, starting to get a little harsher.
01:10:22
Too many darts, too many cigarettes, markets.
01:10:28
I'm happy that I made your night, man. You're the man.
01:10:30
Joe McTighe Vauxhall, Your boys that came in and said hi.

01:10:42
Ah, other rabbit. I'm Joe.
01:10:45
You're 1000% rights.
01:10:47
And I've been lectured about not drinking enough because I can call an entire three and 1/2 hour game and be fine, but I drink three jugs of water and two pots of coffee.
01:10:57
Um, so it's what it is.

01:10:34
Ladies too.
01:10:36
I do know by my Twitter mentions that I do have some Lady Sergio, I'm so sorry that you came in now, just as I am.
01:11:00
