You know what? You know what? I've had enough with the takes.
I've had enough with the outdated takes from all these dinosaurs.
Wallaby needs to stay off social media, stay off social media.
No, In fact, I'm taking the contrarian point of view.
I'm saying that he needs to stay on social media all the time.
All right, here's what I'm gonna say to that.
Okay, So we know here in Philadelphia what happened a couple of days ago, which you all on beat.
First time he's really played a joke in a while.
He hasn't smiled all season long.
All right, so let's think about this.
The Karl Anthony towns situation happened.
You got on social media, he talk some smack, and then he basically hasn't been on it ever since.
And ever since then, the Sixers have taken a nosedive.
Joel Embiid hasn't smiled.
He hasn't been as effective.
He hasn't look like a lion.
He gets on social media, he start joking around again.
All of Philadelphia, you know, falls for it.
But he's back to being his old self.
You could feel that he was being restricted.
So he's back to being himself.
He's back to smiling out on the floor, and he's back to being the Jew Wallaby that we all know and love.
The drone bee that we saw last night is the drool on me that I want to see moving forward.
A dominant Joel indeed.
I mean, he wasn't just in the paint dominating it.
It was defensively as well what he did.
Morris just swatting him like a fly drama gets him going.
Some people are just wired differently than others.
It's like a cornerback in the NFL, a cornerback in the NFL.
A lot of times they will talk smack to the opposing wide receiver in an attempt to get themselves kind of going kind of get fired up right.
It's the same thought process here.
Same type of situation.
Social media seems to get Joel and be going.
Talking smack seems to get Joel Embiid and the Sixers team going.
He needs to stay on social media.
This is who he is.
This is his personality.
He's a prankster.
This is This is what makes him happy.
Let him stay happy.
You know, sometimes we try to take away too much of the personality from these athletes.
We restrict them we had come from.
We need to let them be themselves.
And we also need to stop being so soft as well.
Philadelphia got real soft after that situation rose off.
They got real gullible as well.
They really fell for it.
Some other things I wanted to discuss in this video.
I want to get into the game that I saw last night, eh? Very encouraging performance from the Sixes.
They were playing bully ball last night.
They pounded the Clippers in the paint.
And it's something that I need to see more off.
I want to see more bully ball.
When this team does not shoot 33 point attempts a game, they win.
When they don't, they lose.
I had a study about a month ago, 41 games into the season.
Let's see if I can find the paper here.
All right, so I gotta update this.
But in the 25 wins, the Sixers averaged 29.
643 point attempts, whereas in the 16 losses, it was over one attempt higher 30.
88 So here's the trend, right? Normally, when they're kind of hoisting up a lot of threes.
They're not going in that.
This is a roster that's not constructed for shooting a lot of threes.
Now, the problem is this is where the modern MBA is.
The modern MBA is about shooting a bunch of threes.
You know, a ll that stuff.
But the Sixers, they're not built in this way.
They're built like the monsters they are built to play Bully ball.
They're built to punish you, not finesse you.
But they've been trying to finesse people too much until last night.
I believe they took 27 3 point attempts a lot.
So they were eight of 27 from three.
They still missed their three point attempts.
There were eight of 27 but it was what they did in the paint And what I was seeing from Ben Simmons in the halfcourt.
Benson's took 22 shots last night, but that's a lot for him.
He scored 26 points.
He was attacking the room it will at the entire team.
Waas Tobias Harris had a great game last night.
That dunk that he had bringing the thunder Did we even know he had that hit him.
So a mentality shift.
I mean, even even for Tobias Harris to attack the rim the way that he did.
And I was encouraged because I've seen him at at times, you know, kind of settle for that three point shot, and he'll just keep taking him, even though he's not making when he's.
I don't mind device here shooting threes, by the way.
But when you're not making you need to get inside, I need to establish the rhythm again.
And then then you go back outside, That's all.
All right, Other things.
Within the game last night, Al Horford was set to the bench.
I will move to the bench, and this was a decision that I was behind because I actually recommended it on my YouTube channel. The bitter birds.
We want to check out videos and there as well.
You can check me out there, but I suggested on Saturday, you know, because of the lack of freedom and the lack of space for Joel, a bead I would recommend having Horford go to the bench.
You move Toby to the fore, you bring in court miles or Matisse, diable it with three.
That's what they did last night and what offered what would allow that to happen was the trade that Elton Brand made before the trade deadline to acquire Quick Cliff Robertson, the third and Alec Berks.
So more flexibility within the roster makes it easier to put Horford on the bench s.
So you have him coming off the bench.
You could have Burkes Robinson.
All of a sudden, you got yourself a top eight.
That's gonna be pretty good here, especially for you know, when you think about the playoffs and how the rotations they get limited, you know, not as many players play Ah, and the Sixers right now.
If they continue to exhibit what they showed last night, they do need to show this on the road.
They are nine and 18 on the road, one in 12 against teams with ah record of above 500.
But last night, that was the type of basketball that I actually saw earlier in the season to start the year when they began five.
You know, when they were playing bully ball when they were just punishing teams in the paint.
That's what I want to see more of.
That's what I saw last night.
So 1 10 103 Nice win against the Clippers.
I tell you what.
Did the defensive job of Ben Simmons on Kwai Leonard? I mean, you look at his box score.
You're like, What are you talking about? Like I went for 30 points, 12 23 shot over 50% of from the floor.
Let me tell you something cool.
I could went for 40 or 50 easily.
If Ben Simmons wasn't on Ben, Ben Simmons made everything difficult for him.
Everything was contested.
You gotta, you know, give the hat tipped aquatic wise, obviously one of the best players in the planet.
So 1 10 1 of three Sixers win last night and encouraging win something positive heading into the All Star break.
We'll see what they look like out of it because, you know, I want to see this again on the road.
They obviously had that four game losing streak away from home where they didn't look good at all.
That's what really led to a lot of the things that we saw last night.
I think changes effective, changes positive changes, and we'll see if it occurs.
So those are my thoughts on Joel Embiid being on social media? You know, I've been hearing too much about how he should stay off of it.
I think that's ridiculous.
Julian be needs to say the person that he is.
We've become so soft, this society, we like to dissect everything. It's ridiculous.
It's absolutely preposterous.
Let the kid have fun was 25 years old, for Christ sake.
All right, all right. That's it for this video.
Thank you. Ah, I am out of here.
That's it for the Sixers.
I'll be back on here a couple of days to talk.
Eagles, Sixers, whatever.
I'll be back, But until then, I'm out.
