Hollows is secured and Karen show.
And I'm Karen Go Clowney.
And right now I'm gonna be talking about how scared should the Clipper off the Clippers Should the Lakers be how scared of them should they be? You're gonna find out right now on the show.
First, we give you a little background if you know following basketball too much this year, the Clippers are in third in the Western Conference.
They just added Marcus Morris, who is having a great year averaging almost 20 points, 40% 3 point shooter.
Um, was the best player on the Knicks until he got traded offer first round pick and another young player.
And so, really, Cooper's made a big addition at the deadline in the Lakers.
Their first have have the second best record in the whole entire n B A.
They're first in the Western Conference.
They're looking like favorites to go to the N B A finals in the West.
Um, but they didn't make any.
It really moves at the deadlines.
So I'm gonna be talking.
How scared should the Lakers be of the Clippers right now? And for what I think, I think that the Lakers should be pretty scared.
Pretty terrified of what the Clippers can do now.
The Lakers have more chemistry than the Clippers.
Ah, which you can probably see throughout the games.
The lake, the Clippers.
The Lakers are taking most of their easy games.
Clippers had a little had trouble with the Timberwolves, lost them by almost 40 points.
So Lakers Kappas Tree might be better.
But I think the potential and the talent of this Clippers team is more than the, Um, click that more than the Lakers because, as the Lakers have two big stars and a couple other decent surrounding but cast members the lake, the Clippers have to star stars.
But they also have, um, all defensive first team candidate For every pretty much every year.
Patrick Beverley locks down a lot of people.
A great defensive player, He could score some points, get assists as well, and Clippers just acquired Morris, obviously who is a star in New York.
But he might be War of up, uh, sort of a shooter for them, just a shooter and probably won't be a star star, but will be a very key piece off this Clipper team and also they have mantra, as Harold Was and Lou Williams were both candidates for six men in the yearly.
But Harold had a great year as well, and Harold is really coming into his own, and he might be a little bit short short.
He's only like 66768 but he's still very dominant in the block in the post, so he's having a pretty good year as well.
Not his greatest last year, but still pretty good year.
Williams having a good year? Um, Shammond, he's a good shooter.
Not having a aging like 10 years, 10 points, not bad use.
A good shooter is a lot of potential.
And this team, once they start to reach their full potential, they're gonna They might be better than the Lakers, and I feel like fear the Lakers.
You have to be terrified of the Clippers on what they could do.
Right now, you're only a bit scared because they're still, they still have to work in Marcus Morris and see what his role in this lineup will be.
Obviously, it will be pretty key to their success since he's such a such since he's almost averaging 20 points a game and really, if they can, if the Clippers can start to really work all their talent together and have better chemistry, they can go.
I think there they have quite a good chance to come out of the West, um, and go into the finals.
But Lakers need to be scared of this Clippers team, and the Clippers have a top top five coach and Doc Rivers, who's been a coach of that team for quite a long time Now he's a great coach, knows howto work, this talent.
He's going to do a good, good and better job of working them together and making sure they don't lose those easy games.
But really, they have to.
They really have to start to win those easy games and really what their talent together and really get on a winning streak or catch some sort of moment.
Um, and if they can ride the momentum all the way to the postseason, they're really gonna be scary in the postseason and the Lakers are going to profit.
The Lakers get knocked out.
They're gonna be a little ashamed that think of themselves that they didn't go on.
Get another veteran during another good quality veteran during the during Ah, the trade deadline.
Um, and, yeah, trade deadline up.
As some of you might know, Lakers didn't do anything, so they're really kind of.
While the Clippers added so great new talent and Marcus Morris, the Lakers did nothing.
So that should that kind of seat seems like a sign of what the Lakers want to do.
They want to build the chemistry in the locker room that they have right now.
They didn't want to trade cues blah.
Well, they kind of wood.
They would have traded Cosmo if it was just him at Green.
But the Knicks wanted pics for Morse as well.
So if you smell was not traded and he is quite good presentable, he's just I'm not sure how great the fifties and in the n b a fit is if you're fit.
If you fit in with that team, we're gonna be important.
If you don't like maybe saying Aaron Gordon, who's not achieving his full potential in Orlando because he doesn't really fit in there.
And same with Cosmo.
I don't feel like that's a great fit for him, but he's still having a decent year and he's gonna really be key.
One of the keys to them going far, he's gonna need to step up.
They're gonna need to tell him he needs to step up.
And really, if Kuzma can start to get some of his He had a good yet kind of a lucky play last night where he tossed the ball up, didn't mean to God and walked off it.
So you're gonna need a little bit of luck in a little bit of skill to get him back to that sort of star area and cooze.
As everyone knows, he could be a great player.
But it's just how good the fit is.
And I'm not sure how good the fit is with Lakers right now.
So the Clippers, they're really gonna have to start working Kawai and George together more and Morris in.
And Morris is gonna be a vital key, too.
No postseason run off the l. A. Clippers.
Because Morris, as I said, is a great shooter.
Um, he's gonna contribute well to their roster, and he's really gonna be an important part of this team.
And if more kids can.
Morris helps get Kawai and George going, then they're really gonna think this Morris acquisition can kick start the team and get them sorted into go.
I could see them challenging the Lakers for the one seed in the West, but as of right now, I do think the Lakers will get the one seed.
It's just who will win.
If they comes down to that playoff series, Who's gonna win that? I'm pretty even on that right now.
The Clippers, they are looking pretty well.
With talent wise, they just gotta bring that all together, as I said, and really, the Lakers really have to be scared of this team.
They really have to be nervous at This team has the potential to beat them.
They will beat them.
They showed that they can beat them.
They beat them on opening night.
This team, this Clipper team, they can easily beat this Laker team and the Laker team.
They can also easily beat this Clipper team, so it's really gonna come down to who can have the best chemistry and well, the Lakers were gonna have to have great chemistry going throughout.
Get Cosmo going and the Clippers are gonna have to get their chemistry better.
And really, Rivers is gonna have to start putting all that talent together and forming it into, Ah, great locker room and a great team.
So that's where I'm gonna end with this broadcast.
I do think the Lakers should are and should be scared of this Clipper team.
But the Lakers still even with no off no no trade trade deadline acquisitions, they are.
They were still in a good spot heading into, So I do think that the Lakers and Clippers both have good teams.
The Lakers are definitely doing better this year chemistry, and it's just been a better team this year.
Everyone's kind of performing, with the exception of Cooze, Cooze, MMA.
But if the Clippers can really get their chemistry going, the Lakers were gonna have to be scared in that.
So thank you guys for tuning in.
Um, I'll see you next time on the carrot and Karen show
