Oh, here and there about the shushed gate factor which people are hashtag once I think is absolutely ridiculous.
People may think my opinions absolutely ridiculous.
Uh, but I'm gonna say is and this isn't gonna be all day, and I want to talk about the future of this frame size and whether we have 33 wins or not.
I know what people want to keep saying that.
Now they want to look at the record record.
I was at the game last night.
Uh, you know, Philly influence dot com, Fox sports to gamble, rolling deep about eight non of us there.
And I'll tell you what I still feel.
Even though we won that game, you know, we didn't cover.
Obviously what was eight and 1/2 point spread, which I thought we should be able to cover easily, But we did it.
And that's one of the issues we weigh one.
But we didn't ball out against an inferior team, which you know, for the life of me I can't understand.
And you know, every single day that we go on and listen, you drive yourself, not scout on Twitter and going on things spoken instagram and see what people post.
Listen, we're living the sports world, which is fantastic, right? It's fantastic.
We all have an opinion, which is a beautiful thing.
Uh, you know, everybody wants to have an opinion.
Everybody's entitled to have an opinion and nobody's wrong, Right? That's the best part about it, Um, in one second so I could share some of this stuff.
But, you know, the best part is we all can basically say what we feel is going on.
And you know what's going on is, if you can't see that there's some dysfunctionality going on within this team, then you have to be pretty short sighted.
In my opinion, give me one second.
I want to share this Al, bring some people in, you know it's lunchtime.
But if you were working, I work a crazy schedule so sometimes easier for me to do these during the day.
That is, do them at night.
I like to do some post games, Um, which is great.
But sometimes when topics like this arise, it's fun to do it right away.
Let's say, um, one here.
All right, so let me go on this shushed factor, as people are calling it, and the reason why I want to go on this is because this is something that's very, very pressing right now, right? We have been.
So if anybody wants hears from Philadelphia and anybody is a Philadelphia six or fame, you obviously know what this franchise has been through Over the course of the problem, the latest six or seven years, maybe even 10 years, we could go back and we could name the players that we get off the street.
We getting the players we got at the bus stop.
But you name the coaches.
We went through the boss, the first round picks that we went through point.
The fact is, when we drank the Joel and B and we knew the short Commons of Joel, who's play basketball the very late age who was gonna be a project.
I mean, just look at the picture of him, you know, compared to what he was when he was drafted, compared to what he is right now, two completely different individuals, right? But we stuck behind him through injury through the low management days, right? We stuck it out as fans.
And there's a reason why that stadium is jam packed.
Not it's not jam packed to see Brett Brown, right.
It's on tan practice.
See it shake Milton.
It's packed to see Ben Simmons and Joel and B, and in my opinion, and this is what's great, we all have him.
It's complete slap in the face from Joel to shushed the fans and base to tell them to shut the F up.
Okay, completely, completely on call for you could say whatever you want.
You could say it's not a big deal, but it is a big deal.
It's a very, very big deal.
You know why? Because it symbolizes the in maturity off your franchise player.
After six years already in the MBA.
It I can't say enough about We talk about basketball like you on the show so many different times.
But in order to be ah, star at the next level in order to be a riser is that of a fall.
You have tohave a maturity about you in order to be able to play this game.
It's the mental aspect cannot be underestimated, right? It cannot be undervalued.
It it's tremendous.
It's actually a tremendous and the other part of this scenario, you know, that people aren't talking about because obviously, Joel is the franchise players.
You have a guy in Al Horford who is supposed to be here to mentor Joel and B.
He has sent his months in his offseason interviews when he signed with this team, Brant Brown has said as much.
Elton Brain has said as months that it was based on the factor of, you know, went into signing this guy was to bring him in here to give Joel a big brother.
Give Joel's somebody look up to because Jimmy Butler had left.
Give him somebody right? Give him a guy.
Everybody has to have a guy, right? A guy or a girl, right? Doesn't matter, you know, gender being, you know, not important here.
But everybody has to have a person I should say, right.
Everybody has that person to confide in, Have that person is able to check them when they're doing something ridiculously wrong, give them you know, the focus and determination and understand what desire is all about.
That was supposed to be.
Al Horford and Al Horford did the same thing.
The night before Al Horford, the guy who scored zero points against the Chicago Bulls against Daddy is young.
Zero points. Couldn't get a rebound.
Okay, so this is the Al Horford as well.
You came here basically to be Joel and Beans back up that she came to bay.
And I like Al Horford.
I like what he stands for.
I always liked his game.
I I like everything about out.
But the problem is, you see Al gets followed by Joe.
So Joe followed out both of them in the wrong, in my opinion.
And I know people are saying that say they want to gain.
I know people are saying we have 33 wings.
You know, people.
We are six e a six seed.
Do we not understand what's going on right here? No matter what changes happen to his team, we are six seed.
Listen, Mark on court mas had an unbelievable game, right? Unbelievable game.
That's not happening every single day.
That's the problem.
So where you making up the 30 points? 30 point.
If court Miles gives you don't court losses averaging right? 9.
49 point four even went to you know high 32 31 point Shelley's 9.4.
So for common core, Klaus does his average.
We lose that game, and I think people bringing shortsighted about this.
Listen, I want the Philadelphia 76 or so we succeed more than anybody more than anybody.
This isn't Nega Del Phia has nothing to do with it.
What this has to do with is watching the product on the court, not progress, right? This is a process, right? We use that word.
We can't use it lightly.
Trust the process, everybody that this is a process.
Well, what happens when the process is stunk? What happens when the process stops processing? And I think that's what's happening right now listen, we're losing this guy, and we're not pushing him out of town.
I know, called me.
We're not gonna call me.
I'll put a couple People went on me a Twitter say, You know, we pushed guys out of the sound.
If anybody's getting pushed out of anybody's pushing Joel out of town, it would be himself by showing he's not mature enough to put his big boy pants on and play with Ben Simmons, right? If any bodies that fall here so well and beat.
And also, if anybody's that fall to prep around prep room, it's your job to control this brown brown.
It's your job to put yellow and check, and I get it.
Listen, this is ah, player driven league.
I completely understand that when you talk about the MBA, you talk about players that are making $30 million a year on a coach is making for I get it.
Listen, I understand the dynamic, but listen, we didn't create this dynamic, right? We know these players create this dynamic.
They live in this world.
The coaches live in this world, It's the coach.
In order to make this team succeed, this coach has to be on point.
And I'm telling you right now, is this all fall just doesn't fall in Elton break.
Listen, I'm gonna say this again, and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna keep talking about it.
Ellen Brain had a vision, right? When you're a general manager, listen, when you're an artist, right when you're an artist to have a visit, your your job to think that vision and and put it on paper.
But sometimes sometimes you may not be the artist, right? You may be the person with the idea.
So you take that idea and you give it to an artist.
Because why you go out and pick the best artist you can find and you want from that artist you want them to emulate exactly what your picture is going to the pet, right? That's what you want.
You want them to paint the picture of what? Your ideas.
But guess what? When they can't do it, fall short.
It never comes to fruition.
That is what the 70 Sixers are right now.
Elton Brain had a vision in mind.
He had a vision in mind.
And what happened? Guess what? That vision easy thing isn't what he seems.
That the vision and the product that he's witnessing right now is not what he seems.
So that falls on Brett again.
What's up, Trevor? Trevor, am I being crazy? Trevor, am I being crazy by getting you know about this Jo Ellan be telling everybody to shut the f up? Am I getting crazy with this? Because I take it as a slap in the face? Man, I'm sorry.
I take it is a slap in the face.
I think it was on call for it was ridiculous.
And, you know, I'm gonna ask so many other people out there the same question.
And, you know, we talk about, you know, somebody had brought up, and I'm not sure who was.
I'd like to give him credit, and I forget, actually, you know what it might have been.
Now, Okay, Glenn, Mac now have brought up about Bryce Harper.
That here's a guy in this first he was getting ****.
Why do we boo in Philadelphia? Why does the city boo Weee boo? Because the expectations are high, right? The expectation we expect certain things out of our players.
Right, Trevor, You know, I I respect.
How do you do? I'm fine with it.
Personally, I would like to know why.
Give me a reason why it's OK.
Why you feel, and this is what's great.
Like I said, it's all about opinions, So I'm gonna talk while you type, but my whole thing is went when you listen.
When you coach a basketball team or you coach a little leaguer or as a father, right? As a father.
If your son gets or your daughter gets an 80 on a test when you know they should get a 90.
And, you know, they're put on putting up their best effort, you know? Forward, aren't you? Aren't you critical of them? Aren't you critical of what they do? Okay, it's almost the same thing.
Us being critical is us building saying, Yo, we know you're better than this.
We know that you can be so much better then what you're showing us right now, and we know you're not putting your best effort forward.
I go back to the scene person who lived in the Wells Fargo Center.
Let's talk about Allen Iverson.
Let's talk about, you know, as a CZ.
Muchas Alan did off the court and he was heavily scrutinized for it.
Right? The practice we all know about the practice ran right.
We all know about the lifted.
We all know about the extracurriculars.
They only live in and hold hands and you know, the two speeding tickets.
And you know, the ridiculous Bentley rides and this and that We get it, we get it.
But once thing I'm sorry.
One thing that we that we leave out is that when Allen Iverson showed up, it's a play.
All that was for God.
You know why he left it all on the court.
He dove for every ball he ran out of bounds.
He did every single thing he need to do to help his team win.
Right? That's what you got from a I.
That's why when we talk about, you know, the extracurriculars off Ben and Jo and things like Allen Iverson would have never averaged just us, ever.
He would have never just us and I.
I know this sounds crazy, right? I get it.
I know people gonna say it's ridiculous, but it just it just can't happen.
Jo Jo Sonoda expect Tait's personal.
He knows a teammate delivering, right? Listen, Joe, I mean Trevor, I I agree.
He does know that the problem is he is part of the issue.
He's out of shape.
He is not working to the best of his ability, and I get that he's injured.
I understand that.
But if you're gonna boo hoo about the injury, don't play, don't play because there's a little bit.
There's ah, a little bit of that tells me that basically You know, Joe just wants by the All Star Game, and I hate to think that's why he came back and trying to make this team up against hard in the 60 Ben and Jo stuff.
It's a lair concept.
It could be a reality show, right? It really could.
The life of Joe in bed.
I mean, just a massive MTV pick that up.
It could be the next Jersey Shore.
I mean, you're absolutely right.
There is so much content out there between between girlfriends and ex girlfriends have families and, you know, you know, and foods, life stops, choices and food choices.
And I mean, absolutely if you're injured, don't play and get help. No, but exact.
And then that's the point.
Trevor, I completely agree.
I completely agree.
If you're injured, stay home.
But here's my issue about the injury.
How do you get so out of shape when you injure a hand? And that's another thing that Joe has to realize.
We watch him and listen.
How about this? And it's the latest in the salmon because I want to do about 30 minutes.
Let's go half on a Sixers handful of fillies, but also any Bill Roman.
He has to catch a builder.
Roma was a beast oot If we brought Romo in here.
Bill Romanowski, number one Joel Probably all roided up. Number two.
He would be a fierce and the paint, that's for **** sure.
But you know, when we talk about you know, this team and expectations and we talk about what actually has happened going forward, I'm concerned why? I don't understand why you cannot be concerned about what is going on between these two superstars.
And I said this earlier in the week and I passed for this when I said, Listen, I'll be honest with you.
You know, Kobe and Shaq, we all know Kobe exacted like each other.
We get that, you know, And to be honest with you, Tracy McGrady, and shocked that really like it's other, either.
Because when you get those to alter egos, though, superstar egos on a team, it's really hard for those players to coincide.
That's why it takes a great coach to be able to do that.
Okay, at the end of the day, this is Brett's job to bring these guys together.
It's Brett's job that make Al Horford the player.
He wasn't Boston.
Al Horford looks like a lost puppy out there.
He doesn't and we listen.
We talked about it.
We talk about it over and over again. This team is $1.
Don't forget about sports Parker Cobh, Listen, you're right.
The one and done, and that's my issue.
That's my issue.
Didn't we come into this year with the expectations? And it's not just us? Here's a problem is this is This is locally and nationally for anybody who's watching us this show right now, anybody watches a Sixers game and they see the pregame, you have all the ****ysts Weatherby, Jason Williams whether be saying Mitchell Okay, whether we Greg Anthony, whether we Charles Barkley, whether the door spark, whatever.
Hubie Brown, Listen, the Hubie Brown I love who old asked Hubie Brown and I love you be been around forever.
I listened to him say there's something wrong with this team.
I watched him point out the times where the team wasn't hustling.
Okay, but Joe, you shushed us.
That's what I'm saying.
Joe shushing us.
Hey, Joe wants to pick up the phone, wants to pick up the instagram live and go shows.
Jack, why don't you go shushed Barkley, Why don't you go shut all these national prognosticators out there that are calling you out.
You know why you can't do that? You can't do that.
You won't do that. And that's a shame.
And that's why we take you know, that's why I take it as disrespect.
We had every effort, right? Exactly.
We had this was supposed to be N B A finals or bus, right? What is Or even Eastern Conference finals or bust, finals or bust, no matter what, why you spend it.
This is not gonna be a finals year.
It's not unless something happens.
Who you have is what is going to have to get you there.
And I'm sorry I'm not being negative.
It's really hard for me to be optimistic here because we've had this same group of guys for at least seven months now, and we still can't get him on the same page.
And we're supposed to think that when we get into the playoffs, we're gonna flip a switch as a six or a five seed as a six Or if I see you know what that means.
Listen what we're saying.
People were talking about Miami.
When when we left, right? We left at Miami when Jimmy Butler said he wouldn't go, we all left.
We all said, You know what? Good for him.
He's gonna fail.
Um, I can't be What's going? Miami? They're a bunch of stiffs out there.
Those guys can play.
Guess what? They're better than we are.
And they got the ultimate playoff.
And Andre Iguodala.
Who yet it was once a filly.
Well, so you have to Philly guys going out there in Miami.
Listen, Pat Riley, he understood what was going on.
Pat Riley's up there to GM spot, and he's saying, You know what? This team is for real.
I need to go out in a difference maker, right? I need to go get Yeah.
Where were Spike asking out with his Al Horford? Yeah, absolutely.
You got that right.
You know, Spike, Spike hides behind that Ricky Bobby, Are they right? So Ricky Park as all the time he had, you know, he comes out when he wants, you know, But I guess that's what happens when you're Ah, you're big time.
I guess I would probably do the same thing, but yeah.
I mean, listen, you know it It falls on the coach we all know about.
Listen, uh, I don't know who comes in here, you know, Debra knows that.
You know, you talk about that you talk about, you know, chasing kid people talk about maybe you go way over extremes, you bring, you know, 1st 1st n b a female head coach and ah, Becky have and the, you know, you bring in a Teasdale t.
I mean, there's so many different names out there.
My, my point is, I don't really think it matters.
I don't I think it's just the message that matters.
And you have to have a different message, right? You have to be.
I actually think Fizdale gonna gonna really roll deal out there in New York, man.
I think he's a really good coach.
I d'oh, um, I I honestly dough and And you know what? Let me let me go back Row face before I flip the script, it we'll talk a little baseball Here, let me flip the script and talk about how you know, we talk about the cohesion of this team and how they can tell and the reason why I I say that is and I get against LeBron James, right? But LeBron James and Anthony Davis never played together before LeBron James basic handpicked that team out there.
You know who they were to get Danny Green, Your Rajon Rondo.
How much time did they take the job? How much time that they have to become a, you know, a cohesive unit? How come they can go from day one and click? How come they could go from day one and click? But we still have the message and the narrative that we need time that we don't know how to play with each other and we have to develop a new style and we have to understand where we're supposed to be.
A I'm tired of hearing I'm tired to hear tonight's I really yet And the Jo Ellan be thing just set me off today and I you know, I I was typing for about two and 1/2 hours on Twitter and I finally had enough.
I absolutely had enough because you know.
I don't understand why everybody's sticking up for Joel on beat here. I don't understand.
M B owes it to us, you know, to at least be respectful on the court.
That's all I'm saying.
You know, you could say whatever you want, but this isn't against the adults with kids with the reader fans, you know, I'm sorry.
You know, I don't I don't take that.
As you know, I take his explanation as a cop out.
I basically, you know, if you don't take that as a cop out, I don't know what what else you know.
You know, you could attribute to, but he knows he messed up.
And you know, Al Horford's hiding behind.
He's a fraud, you know, I really like Talbot.
You're gonna just the crowd.
So I mean, you're gonna show us the crowd, right? Stop.
I mean, these beat these guys.
You know, these guys understand what Philadelphia's all about.
Take, Don't They don't.
They don't understand.
You know? You know, a guy like Jimmy got it.
A guy like Ryan Howard got it.
You know, these guys got these.
Were all guys who were booed at one point.
Right? Brewing, you know, is it's like a love hate relationship, right? It really is, um, how Or if it's like an ex cowboy now, Eagle, you're right.
I mean, it comes from, you know, from Boston.
And we we thought we you know, we hit the lottery and and for the first week, that's everything.
For the first week or so, this team looked unstoppable.
And then everything just stopped.
And I'm not sure why they can't play half court game.
They have to run, Maur.
Okay, we do that on and listen.
Ben Simmons, row face on Ben Sevens.
I don't need him to shoot.
I don't You can say whatever we want about Ben Simmons right now.
But Ben Simmons, if he gets the foul line 10 times 8 to 10 times a game and he could hit 70% he goes seven for 10.
I'll take that any day of the week because he can get the whole.
We just have to finish, that's all. He just has to finish.
Where do you put blame on L for not getting enough shooters? You know who's to say Here's the problem.
We have a couple shooters, but our number one shooter just doesn't produce it, right? My number one.
That's what you look at Last year last year, Mike Scott was shooting 38 39% from three.
This year is shooting 32.
You're Max money.
Deal is supposed to be shooting better beyond the arc.
They're lucky that court MAS has developed into a shooter.
He you know, he has developed this game and good for him for working his ass off to get to this point.
You know, my hat's off to him because I killed him in the beginning of the year.
I just, you know, let's not expose him for what he is, right? So Elton Brand said, I'm gonna go it.
I'm gonna go with Harris because listen, think about this.
Row fans think about Jimmy goes right, and we know Jimmy.
Jimmy is not a shooter.
Jimmy to score, right? Jimmy's a shock creator.
He's a gritty guy who is always around the ball.
You decided that when Jimmy goes, we're gonna put our marbles and it's a bias.
Why? Because you figured if we were gonna bring in Al Horford here.
And we were gonna play bully ball, okay? And we were gonna work down low.
We would have to bias to kick out, to shoot the three toe buys the kick out on the perimeter, and he was gonna knock down those shots.
She completely formulate your offense around the inside outside game where, unfortunately, that outside games out there now because Mike Scott was hitting those shots Tobias hires was hit knows these guys were hit.
Red**** Last year was hit those shots, obviously right now is shooting.
Would have been nice to have J.
But you know, J J wanted all that money, which is fine.
But I can see the vision of Elton Brain.
And listen, the vision of Elton Brand, it's just not working right now.
Shall we got about five minutes of Listen, Baseball is in the air, you know? And you know, I want to talk a little fillies that you see, the Dodgers making huge moves, get Muecke bats and David Price, What's I think is unbelievable.
I think It's a great move.
You can almost do everything except hand on the trophy right now.
You know, Mookie Betts is one of the top five players in baseball and you get a guy.
Listen, I know David Price is older, but I think they have four lefties in the rotation, which is something that I don't think we've seen in a very long time, which is which is gonna be hard for people to compete against.
It really isn't.
It's a really good line about their quarry.
Seeger had a bad year last year.
He was coming back from injury.
You know, they're gonna be there gonna be a beast out there in the West, put, you know, we get to the Phillies.
The Phillies are very interesting.
They have a very interesting dynamic.
And here's my Here's my take.
So I definitely wanted to get another arm.
I definitely want them getting along right.
Ah, you know, I like the wheeler signing.
You know, another urine ola.
I think the reason why they you know, they didn't number one Spencer Howard, Spencer Howard from all reports and everything we read is the real deal.
He has been pushed through the minor system.
He has the stuff, you know? He has the ability, you know, He has everything that we've seen.
Basically, when we brought Cara Nolan.
So you know, I think they're relying on Spencer Howard, you know, and again.
Listen, not gonna like five.
Starter would be good for Francisco Liriano.
Spencer, Listen, Francisco Liriano, I think you know is gonna be a spot starter.
But here's the thing about the pension safe I want you to think about.
Bryan Price is a very underrated pitching coach.
He's been around.
He worked wonders in Cincinnati.
And the way I look at it is, if you could take a Arun Ola, you could take a Jake Arianna.
Hey, you could take as Zach Heflin.
You could take a wheeler and you could think of Spencer Howard, right? If you take the top five in our rotation and you can add two wins and arm, that's 10 wins.
That takes us right.
That takes us from on 83 80 to win team.
So a 90 to win team that takes from a 78 win Teen 88 1 team So I'm talking 10 games, and I don't think it's It's far fetched that Brian Price can give you a plus 10 in the win column from your starting rotation.
Now, again, you may call me crazy, but I don't think that's a lot.
You know, we're talking two wins per picture, two wins, you know, and I think you talk about Spencer.
Howard takes the place of Nick Bavetta, and I think Spencer Howard seizes his way to eight wins, sneezes his way to eight wins, right? So And that's far better than what you got in on prevented.
So if you can make Velasquez the closer or that the setup guy like we we all know he should be.
And Sarandon, Dominguez comes back healthy and can play.
And you have a lot.
You have a lot of talent in that bullpen that, you know, that was and now needs to be now, right? But yeah, XFL do.
That was I'm a big fella guy trip.
I love it. You know, I'm a big double w guys.
So it just translate.
I'm gonna follow Vince or whatever he does.
And you know, I really like the whole XFL.
I like the vibe on last night's games.
Weren't that great? But I think overall, the weekend really showed that.
I think it's here to stay now.
I don't I really think it's here to stay.
Ah, but ah, well, I don't know what happened.
My camera right there.
But it it went ballistic.
So listen last time gonna say, Yeah, I don't know what's going on. Trap.
All know what happened there.
Something wrong with that Kind of.
But listen, man's go away.
That segment this toe to the end.
Uh, you know, the auto focus is going a little crazy on the camera, But this woman say, Phillies, let's see what happens.
Let's see what happens as they get into spring training and see what arms fall off or arms are at it and how the bats look.
But, you know, listen, I'm sorry I get about a Joel on B thing.
I still expect more out of the Sixers, and I still think it coaching changes needed whether be now or later.
So again, Tony Castillo, Attica till 23 on Twitter.
Influence of dot com, Fox Sports to gambler heat ratio Sports podcast.
Man 103 episodes going strong here we want five sports A gambler every day, 3 50 on a deli.
Take with you embrace man.
Don't big things over here.
Appreciate the support and I'll see you later on this week.
