way This'll is on his way.
What crack dealer by the name of Peter had the ****ing down with nine.
Don't play me. Thank you.
It was no way which has been taking so long to pick up TV these days.
His periscope takes like, not super long, But periscope is That is the fastest of the period, usually. Really? Yeah.
Okay, that's which has been dragging dragon bones.
Really? Come on, buddy.
How chilling in the seventies with the way that I think you didn't like me before and it did not wear.
We are in there.
What up, folks is trickling in? Um, per usual idea that appears.
Realizing Williams, uh, on always a classic, Always a classic Matt Brooke group. It has to happen.
Every got Dang Harris, stop.
Get some time for people to trickle in.
Um, be up is the title of it, right? It says, uh, yes, it is.
Um, it doesn't say.
I don't remember what it said last time with all those.
Well, I feel like I've seen this before.
I don't know where, though, Right. Okay.
Um, we'll just hop right into it.
Understand what we're getting into? Um, I did not watch all of my do***entary that I'd normally watch for this.
So you'll have No, no, I don't have the whole advantage.
Um, but it also again, the 7 20 p thing applies.
If it's a little, it's looking a little condensed.
On full screen was you gotta You gotta watch it on full screen.
It's a 7 20 p video.
You know, I missed this heat team already.
This is when they had, like, no money for anybody.
I remember this pretty vividly.
Um, So Chalmers So I didn't realize I thought that this, like, Mavs team kind of like snuck into the finals here.
They went through a murderer's row to get, too.
Yeah, they did in the finals here, and they swept the Lakers in the second round.
Yeah, I remember this.
I weirdly remember.
There's so much better than the last game that we watched.
It's weird, but I was only a year ago.
It does feel like that.
I mean, there's, like, an obvious sort of line of demarcation with a decade, but there does.
It does feel like this is the obviously.
The heat for the next four years are every where I just feel like a different, truly a different decade.
Yeah, it does like you don't.
I feel like it's kind of like is somebody who likes numbers.
It's, like, very pleasant, that there's such a strict divide.
Yeah, like there.
It gives me a little bit of satisfaction just being like, All right, 2011 rolled around.
And this is when modern basketball started happen, right? You're still elements.
That little player right there.
We have Bosch kind of executing out of a pinch post is like definitely a flash toe, a little triangle offense.
But this is It's closer because it's kind of crazy that this series was the one that followed that Celtics Lakers serious because that Siri's is like it doesn't even look the same.
Yeah, I mean that.
I mean, that was especially to like teams stuck in the past.
Hey, zero LeBron was so athletic at this point.
This is this Is peak fired up? LeBron too.
J J Barea, still in the league.
Still kind of good.
Only in the Mavs, though.
Any of those tomorrow seems no.
Trust me. Trust me. What's a lot of J. J.
Barea? Not too long ago is here to hear I'm ready for the Nets Clippers finals to what we think next year, man, is that Is that what I look? Yes.
What's up? Zero here? Um, yeah, I I don't know.
I don't know what the Finals is gonna look like.
Um, you know, I would be interested to see it seems like so does Does the cap effect the Miami Heat ever? Yeah, because it just seems like they always, always, always have money to spend, and I don't know how because they still have so many bad contracts.
So, like, are they gonna be able to sign to Gallinari or what? It had to be like a sign and trade.
I really don't know.
Probably those Caribbean banks paralyze Gatto's his money stashed in.
Yeah, he's perfect for a Miami.
Just a complete disregard for money.
Yeah, very Miami.
Um, so, yeah, I don't know.
I guess, like coming out of the east, it looks pretty good.
Uh, the old Depot thing has been a little weird.
And Indiana, so far, just like a tad weird.
But he's gonna take a while to get back into the shape.
Did you? Needs to be? Did you watch that Raptor Pacers game the other night? I watched a little bit.
I think that will be.
And what was the, uh what night was that? Like, two nights ago.
So I think that that was when I was editing my giant trade.
Let deadline fees that served zero value within about 24 hours because the Nets did absolutely nothing.
So that was cool.
Some of those I already like.
I put together that Gerry Harrison.
And then I looked at that again and I looked at his numbers.
I was like, I think I might need to move on from Gary Harris like this might be it for me.
It's taken you this long.
You're the last. Gary.
I Really I thought he was really good last year in the playoffs on I watched a lot of that Denver team Probably a little See much C.
Let me ask you this.
Do you play fantasy? Probably ask you this but I don't hate CSO.
I like a lot of my basketball in Take us through the prism of fantasy.
And so that's where you would find a lot of people.
I think that's the divide.
People that hate Gary Harris are fantasy players, and people would actually, like watch playoff games from other teams in their entirety.
Might like your hairs.
I have to shut out.
Brooklyn Nets 85.
You know my guy? 85 What up? Good to see you.
Uh, Brooklyn Nets a five says the bucks will lose one total East playoff game.
Man, Uh, like, I think Toronto would be the one team I kind of believe in.
I have this weird thing with Boston, but I still feel like they're like, a little They should have made a move.
I don't know why they stagnated for I mean, we talked about the Nets never doing things the Celtics love talking about what they're gonna do and then do nothing.
So that would be the team that you know, If they made a move, I would have said something.
Maybe they'll try to get a guy on buyout to kind of holster that center rotation.
But yeah, I the bucks sitting pretty.
Um, they didn't make a move, but I guess you don't really mess with nuclear chemistry.
No doodling to what's up, Dog says.
Stands for tenacious long calamity.
Who? It's solid.
So we'll see you a little TLC.
Get it in there.
It's still for us.
We got eight minutes in the first.
All right, let's do, uh, let's let me get a couple comments and 85 cents Talk about Jeremy Pargo A woes Bob.
I don't know what that means.
I'm sending someone.
So today is the day when it seems like, uh, teams air now filling out the back end of their rotations with, like, two way guys are like nonguaranteed guys.
That's what it seems like.
So I am going to figure out who Jeremy Pargo is.
This is called research.
On the go things is a cozy stream.
This isn't, you know, this is we're not here to perform, you know, we're not a bunch of grind of the kill ******s that dance for the grinding thing.
Whatever that we're not gonna D'oh! You never saw that the like Ryan phone set of Brian for incest.
But second, uh, Jeremy Pargo still around. That's the top tweet.
Wow. I don't know.
Wait, Matt, Is it your birthday? What's going on? It is my first.
You weren't gonna tell me.
Uh uh, You're gonna You're gonna play cool.
I'm gonna play it. Cool guy on birthdays.
I am the tourist.
Yeah, you know, like, if you want it, which be Happy birthday.
But I'm not gonna come on stream with, like, a birthday hat.
Streamers in the background.
You're gonna do something that there's someone out there.
Is something going to be on fire tonight? One way or another.
I'm gonna be honest.
I'm working tonight.
I'm going out tomorrow, so that'll be a little bit, you know, living it up.
Um, all right, that we got a good crowd today, like a very active.
I appreciate you guys, uh, making my birthday right now.
Oh, uh, and I will get to the TLC Cheddar.
He's gonna find a way to bring back Braun.
That's ah, very hot.
Take, um that's been I don't know how they're gonna do that, I guess.
I mean, because there isn't a salary cap.
I guess they could just take in his giant max money for my Abby.
I'm not kidding.
It really feels like they don't have a salary cap. It affects them.
But I think he's stuck in l.
A or, uh, what more for more years.
All right, about that. I'm really That's it.
So are you going? I was at this game. Live.
This is Justin B 17 88.
What's up, Justin? Um, does that just came live? It made me sick watching the maps hold that trophy on our home court.
Uh, we got some heat fans in here.
Look at our reach.
Um, yeah, that would I can't imagine that would be great.
But then you got to watch two more.
So, you know, look it.
Look at what you do.
You can I mean, I hate to say, but you can kiss our butts.
Well, my boy, all of the all of it.
Um, what was the other one? Um uh, people just dying for this TLC talk to you.
I mean, are you going to give them the music they want doodling to is plugging away on on twitch.
I actually need to.
I said I would tweet it out.
Oh, have you actually tweeted the stream of this year? A feat? I've tweeted the stream and I wanted to say we're about to get into T L c o Shattered Smart.
Yeah, I'm really committed.
I'm a social media star over here.
Really smart content, content content up in.
All right, So here's a name for you while you're well, you're plugging away at that.
The Dallas Mavericks played the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of these 2011 playoffs, and Brandon Roy was the star of that of that team.
Um, So what do we think Brandon Rose up to today? Chat.
Somebody hits a Tom.
I use the coach.
I'm so taking everybody's dough.
Is it yet? He's coaching.
Ah, high school team.
I believe that's cute.
Um, I have ah, a very special place in my heart.
But you have to say, finish is that once I'm, like, kind of scared to talk? Yeah. I have a fetish.
E Think you started with the word fit? I don't get it on.
There were I'm, like, typing and, uh, and trying to and a bit girl.
I have an extreme basketball boner.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, all right? I think we're good.
What? Coach said doodling, too.
I have played ultimate Frisbee in the past.
I've never watched it on TV.
One thing, though, I think everyone should check out.
It's the most impressive support ever seen.
If you haven't seen it, it's like I don't know where it's played India or like Indonesia or something.
But it's like volleyball.
Except they're only playing with their feet and they like bicycle.
Kick the life out of the ball every every time.
It's it's, um it's the most impressive for Do you like to give us all that one? All right, we're live.
We're good to go, TLC time. Let's do it.
Get no I years coming.
I think a little, uh, like an eastern twitch.
You see these before I do.
So I'm like, what's the meaning here? What? No, no, we get it.
Okay. T l c T l c.
First off, I want to tell Doug.
No, I'm not saying I'm not singing at all.
You don't get to hear if the if the Mavs win, maybe he'll saying if they pull off the upset, All right.
I don't I'm waiting for the full details, all right? I don't know.
I'm assuming I don't know if the end of that I don't know how many years it is.
Um, I don't know if it's non guaranteed at the end.
Once again, stats and research gonna look this up.
Ah, but I kind of like it.
I see some people saying that, Um Okay, so it's a two year deal.
According to Michael Scotto.
Uh, so basically, um, I like it.
I actually think he's been really good.
I had kind of no opinion on him for about the first month.
I was kind of feeling him out.
There's, like, certain things I really like about him and certain things.
I don't mainly his incredible, incredible lack of speed, but, um, he's long is shooting, I think, like 43% from three.
Uh, he's not afraid to go to the room.
That doesn't always mean great things, but hey, keeps the defense honest enough.
Even if he isn't like making those laps every time.
He at least um is running guys off when they are seeing an advantage when guys run up to him too much on the three.
Uh, I don't know if he's the next, like Joe Harris Spencer Genuity caliber find, but, um, you know, I think it's a nice consolation.
After what I felt like we were all getting with David.
But yeah, I like it.
Some people are mentioning that he could be used in, like a deal, I guess, for another player, Um, which I don't I mean, I'm assuming it's only like a minimum level salary, I guess.
Uh, you don't I mean, I don't really know how much his salary would add on to a potential deal just because, you know, it seems like, say, you did a deal for, like, care Sievert, I don't know.
We'll just throw in random names, corks, Moussa, TLC to a team for, like, one guy.
They're gonna either have to decide to wave or stash some of those guys.
And like their G week Seems so.
I don't know how much that would work, but, yeah, that's kind of my thoughts.
I feel like I was a figure out on the go.
No good, solid thoughts.
Um, I think my feeling about like my interest in their interest in TLC is I wonder if there's some thought being put into the alchemy of the team regarding, um, role players that don't have higher aspirations than being role players.
Because a lot of our role players now do you have higher aspirations, and it does make that player chemistry a little like It's weird at times.
Like, you know, specifically, I hate to constantly Doc Torrey and Prince Philip.
You know, people like that who are like wanting to be higher usage.
I like that They're highlighting people like TLC who really does just want to fit into the creases of the team right and fill in gaps like, I don't get the sense that he has any ambitions.
Greater than that.
Yeah, that's a great point.
And like I, he's the type of guy they need in a lot of ways.
Um, just somebody that will I mean, honestly, like, defended the guard position.
Um, because they're going to need guys like that right now.
Derek Temples handling a lot of this tougher assignments.
They put him on Russell for a couple of possessions that Warriors game and Russell and have a great game.
But he took him off the dribble a couple of times.
Which eyes? Not great, because I think we all know that D'Angelo Russell doesn't have, like, the most burst per se, but yeah, they, you know, he did a great I think, the game that really won me over.
And I think it went a lot of people, probably when the Net sober was the game against the Suns, when they put a TLC on Devin Booker and he really held his own.
So I think that's interesting.
They still have to kind of figure out this whole multi guard thing.
He's I'm like, I don't know if I'm getting too high on him because it's the hot three point shooting stretch.
I know he's probably gonna be one of those guys.
It's a little streaking from the three.
Andi don't think 43% is really who he is, a three point shooter, but I could be wrong there.
But if he is kind of like a fixture in their guard rotation for at least the next year, uh, it'll be interesting to see how they manage that with Kyrie, Spencer, Carrots, Garrett, Temple and now TLC.
That's a lot of guys.
It's a lot of guys.
Two of them are more supportive players, but it is still a lot of guys.
And then Moosa, our guy, um, would have got you getting reps in the D League now again.
I mean, what what is this? I don't know if this is where I would lean on Chris over in its daily for for, uh, for some insight.
I'm behind on my now.
He really he's killing it this year.
You do an incredible job.
If you guys don't know.
He's killing it. This year.
I've been really, really keeping up with the stuff he's been doing.
And like the progress he's been making doing a great job.
Keep up the good work, killing it.
Um, Doug, Derek says you don't sing to yourself.
That's where this foot bro.
You got a point, Doug.
All right, there is a basketball game on.
Maybe I'll give it to that.
Was that Jason Capone? Oh, that just fired off.
Who was that? Oh, no, that's Mike Miller.
I've got a giant killer.
Um, that's a good question.
Yeah, Coach, you should.
He feels like a guy that would have It's not like and these guys.
But the one thing you always do, Doug said, Doug said Act Miller, Holen.
And I was like, Oh, did I say his last name? Wrong? You know, we know I have a pronunciation problem with names.
It's one of my favorite.
It's almost, I think it's like I mean, like that Key and Peele skit where it's so outrageously, this board asked.
Yeah, it's pretty bad.
I need to figure that out.
Terry, by the way, had a monster game, and that's what I looked at. It old cheat again.
Look, it's the numbers he did.
You son of a gun I had do is like because I wanted to know which one it was.
I think Game five is the one where he staggered, brought in the face which super insulting, but I'm sure they'll probably show it on the replay later.
Second best player in the Syria.
Yeah, I mean, his ability did like so.
That, like eight foot baseline jumper from that odd spot, is like a shot.
You just never Seymour, especially from a guard.
Yeah, and, um, I think that, like, maybe that will be a thing again.
Like the ability to hit from like, just weird spots on the floor Feels like they're still, like a pretty big like value point that But then I was like, reading in the book.
I don't know the one about three point unit for the name of it that people are generally like still allowed to shoot from the from like Weird Ranges.
It's just like they're much.
They're much better about deciding where that is.
For individual players like Kawhi Leonard, for example, like shoots elbow jumpers, you know his entire career has been shooting mid range jumpers.
It's because he hits him out like 57% or something.
Now, if you suck from that range, they say, Do not take that.
That's that's like what ****ytics is that like a more individualistic degree these days, which I think is smart.
Yeah, that's really interesting.
Uh, trying to think if there's anybody like that on the Nets that I mean, obviously Kyrie Katie.
But any other rule guys, they allow Joe Harris a shoot, like, just like outside of the elbow.
Like that's happened a couple times.
But, um, love that shot for him, by the way.
Yeah, I want more of those and less of the uke until he spent under the hole because it looks really, really fluid and then suddenly wasn't able to.
I think it's his missing shot.
If he does it a little more a little more frequently.
Yeah, that's true.
But I think it's like, takes him Sorry.
Uh, it's got a happy birthday wish, remember? What's what? How old are you today, man? 26.
She This is? Yeah, it's a good one.
I have enjoyed the, you know, had on this birthday.
Um, getting here.
It's been a good year for me.
Yeah, It feels like you've made a lot of decisions about what you want to be.
What you wanna be doing, then? Yeah.
You know, uh, the streaming suspect.
I'm really happy I got into this this year writing stuff.
Moved where I wanted to, uh, just a little history, man.
I mean, this is a day to take stock of.
All right, Cool.
All right, well, uh, let's see.
The bio is always fun to do.
Let's see, uh, started.
I don't know how many years ago that is 3323 years ago, um, writing on my own blawg and doing, like, recaps the games that, like, it was really, really basic stuff.
Kind of like, similar to the film stuff that I was doing.
Um, So I started doing that on my own blog's, uh, and then built a little bit of like a portfolio, I guess just based on like these, you know, little recaps applied to a bunch of places that following summer it was like the summer that I moved out here.
Um, and then after that, you know, it took me a while to find something.
It took like an internship.
That was mostly social media stuff for a company out here that's actually doing pretty well.
Uh, and then eventually I got I got accepted by S and y, or lead sports, New York About a couple months after I applied and I got brought in.
I was like a total open book like Hail Right about really whatever you guys want me to write about.
I just want to write about basketball.
They said, Do some Nets stuff because we just don't have enough guys doing that, which I feel like his case.
A lot of places, Um, so I did that did that for the first year, started doing ah, kind of like the little bit of the, um, stuff that I'm doing now.
It was a lot more like player profile stuff the first year, because it really was, like, essentially in my first year covering the team.
So I would do like breakdowns of individual players and and I went through.
I would say like the top nine guys and did some other stuff, too, did big games, did preview stuff and then went into the last summer.
That's when I started really started catching on a little bit.
People started reading me Um, and then we wanted to free agency.
That was hysteria.
For about two months, I was writing a ton.
It's probably a projection of like feel like every single of the 400 Blair's in ah, in the free agency class because I just don't think anybody of any one of us knew where the Nets were gonna go with it.
Um, and then basically from there, eventually got invited to go to the Nets.
Media Day talk to some people.
Um, about a couple weeks into the season, talk to them, started working with them, Still doing a little bit of yes and why, but not its sun.
And yeah, I just I mean, I think people know what I do now.
It's the I've definitely focused more on doing like the film study stuff.
It seems like what people like for me on, and that's the stuff that I like doing.
It really gives me like content week to week after a while.
There's only so much you could do.
Um, in terms of player profiles like you can't just keep recapping what a guy does over and over and over.
So that's what I've been doing and, uh, enjoy it. It's been fun.
Um, I gotta figure out I don't want to do next, You know, whether that state in the next thing, which I would love to d'oh, that's just sort of if opportunities open up or you know something with Nets daily opens up where I can do this full time or maybe a look at something national.
But that's kind of the next on my horizon.
I guess so has me bragging about myself. Two minutes.
Um, um, So you're looking you're looking to do more national stuff.
Yeah, just, Well, it's more cause of, like openings than anything, and it would be cool like to do because it is, like, kind of tough.
You feel like this, especially.
It's like giving me this feeling that it is really tough to cover a team like Day in and Day Out and do game recaps.
And a lot of it just feels really similar.
And, uh, it was kind of, I think, especially with this year, we're all feeling that a little bit.
Um, it's a little hard to get into this team.
It's amazing how similar this team feels to last year's team, just like just in terms of like, I mean, like the General like story lines are shifted towards Kyrie, basically, but like the like, streaking its ups and downs but generally like dissatisfaction.
Or like pseudo dissatisfied.
I mean, we were hit at the same time.
I think about like February of last year were probably just coming out of that, like, extended full ****ty funk or whatever.
Maybe that'll happen again this year. I don't know. Yes.
I was looking at Joe Harris is numbers J.
I just really love how driving kicky these crusty backwards like the Mavs Krusty backward is like They have no ability to actually penetrate penetrate, but they can beat them just for, like, just for two seconds.
Enough to kick it out.
This was a coaching master, Gorgeous.
This is a really fun team you don't see.
I mean, you rarely see teams like this in history, but no, especially a team like that had been playing.
You know, guys that have been around for a while.
I guess you could compare the raptor from last year to this.
We're just a bunch of vets that kind of know what they're doing, and they're throwing together a little bit to just make a run.
Um, I guess that would be my comparison for this.
So but just see, like, a team with only one star when? Especially in this era, you might actually, you know, I'm thinking right now maybe you see this type of a team a little more in the future.
Yeah, like I'm trying to think of like, what the modern it aeration of this team is.
Um um and I kind of I mean, like, this is a weird compass, because it's like, basically, Senator around like one super efficient star player.
Um, is that it's like you go with me or Yanis.
That's what exactly I was gonna say.
Yeah, but only because it's Matthew's super dependent on, like, one player.
And then, yes, the system surrounding it beautiful a European player toe mean even, um, the Abraham Lincoln throw tattoo.
It's like still one of my absolute favorites.
Yeah, that's pretty iconic.
That is pretty iconic.
If I was gonna get a threat to you, I may have to get things is a super small lineup.
Except who's that? Who's playing center for? That was Dirk is or know it? That's a bass no, Uh, Who is that? He can't do it to scream.
Like looking at small screen Old Eddie House.
Was that rainbow? Bcu says that this is old.
What would 89 pistons vs Lakers be, um, like disqualifying Lee old for strippers? Actually, I think I mean, we've talked about this.
I would be open to going back to, like, a bad boys piston here, even like I feel like we're gonna find exceptions, just like for a one off.
Just the one I want to see Bill Laimbeer being.
We'll probably do like an all time like knuckleheads, um, like, compendium or something at some point.
And we made trips into bad boys distance territory.
I'm just saying it's a thing.
It's on, It's on.
It's on a note pad somewhere.
Uh, like you're, like, black and white of much white guys do like anything.
Like, what is the first instance of the knucklehead like the pier, like there for chaos and destruction Player.
Did you see? It seems like you're the kind of guy that would know this.
Yeah, that Yeah.
Who have the George George, Mike and era of Billy.
You don't remember a lamp here No.
I remember Laimbeer.
There was some graffiti artist when I lived in Greenpoint.
Um, just had a stencil of Bill and beer That was a river.
And, like, put it on the sidewalk.
It's tough. One of my absolute favorites.
That's very green Point it is.
That's a really, really greenpoint.
Actually, it's exceptionally greenpoint.
Then this will run right here.
All right, I'm gonna look through some of the guys on this heat roster cause I've been super curious about it.
I Now I feel like I'm not right about this being a super, um, old roster summaries.
We talked about this and I just wanted to stress, like, you know, the deal with had to feel such pressure to be filling in every every second.
No, that's my No.
Now that's my burden.
You know, just new behaviours, new content content.
My favorite seaward.
Forgetting tells dangerous.
Well, that's your favorite.
Um all right, so it's It's for real.
Juwan Howard at 37.
Erick Dampier at 35. 80.
That's another one.
I don't know if I could say I saying that, right? 32.
James Jones at 30 is on the younger scale Mike Miller at 30 uh, Muslim who still are under 30.
Uh, Joel Anthony is one of the younger guys on the roster at 28 for one out for Joel Anthony.
That's a name I haven't heard.
Well, uh, the youngest player on this team is, well, Dexter Pittman for two games on Mario Chalmers at 24.
So that's pretty crazy.
Yeah, LeBron at 26 Chris Bosh it 26 numbers two and three.
The pretty old team.
Another interesting thing about this man's team is that there, like second best player at this time, who's not playing his Koran Butler, Um, who was like a pseudo star? Yeah, and what we learned was he was getting in the way of their championship hopes and dreams.
And that's That's a good one.
That's a good tidbit.
Um, shadow SportsCastr People haven't been paying attention again, sir, but Matthew Ortega Tricia at Sea Eagle at National Love 95 school man people don't don't hesitate.
It hit us up in the chat are SportsCastr people.
Um oh, there he is a legend.
Does he take up a roster spot? He he does write for the heat.
Who has lem? Uh, currently, Yeah.
He imagined if he was on the Nets because the thing of the Nets that's my favorite is that people are furious about the 15th man.
It's my favorite.
Yeah, which is great.
Well, it Zo what's weird about the Nets? It's one of the fi franchises and reaches in history where, like the 15th guy has worked out on, like, three separate occasions.
People get pretty animated about it.
Architect accomplished in this series with LeBron Couldn't against the Warriors.
Not enough respect.
Wow, Who do you feel that that's true? That that he hasn't received enough respect? I okay, so this is the LeBron Phantom.
Uh, 2017 was a good one.
That that's that's one of the most I would argue.
That's one of the most impressed championship wins in recent history.
This dark ones up there, uh, so I don't know if I can agree with that, but I do agree that Dirk is pretty heavily disrespected just in general? Um, I personally.
So last week he retired last year with Wade, right? Turkey.
So I watched his ceremony for Was it two years ago? Knows? No, I think was live here because they had him on the all star roster last year.
Like that on old guys.
Um, did winter got old.
He got old so fast.
It was sad that last year was, like, tough.
It was pretty tough to stomach.
Yeah, he just couldn't run.
It was really like teeter totter is very strange.
Aziz wouldn't bend to what they used to.
It's like how Zion looks now, by the way.
Oh, my God. Super fun.
Super fun to watch.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think it's interesting.
What's the Rockets last night? No, missus.
Basketball might be.
I don't know if I like it or hate it.
I either want them.
Don't win the championship where I think it's the worst thing ever.
I don't think there's any in between for me.
Uh um, So they played P.
J. Tucker at the five.
Only one pretty convincingly, and Hardin didn't play that well.
Westbrook was awesome, but a lot of it's because they played this five out offense where there's no center in his way.
So he has all the driving lanes he wants.
Um, I kind of like it Totally.
I mean, that's I mean, I hate to say I feel like I was I mean, I'm glad to hear you say it, and now you got to go back so I can confirm my bias is already, um but I just I think like what they basically said was like, You can't have two non shooters on the floor for what they're trying to do offensively And it's definitely going to be Westbrook getting getting set.
So and I know it's been already, like, super embedded into the So I think it was like a fairly ballsy and probably smart move.
I don't know that makes him like an instant contender or whatever, but, um, or more of a contender in the world beforehand, as a reactionary millennial, I've seen enough.
One game was all I needed, so I think it's like six times a creepy champs, right curfew got sub dog long.
You guys been streaming for like two of my classes.
Is that two of your classes sequentially of these 15 minute classes.
How old are you? What's going on here? What do you do it? They pay attention in class.
Listen, I know this is gonna learn that this is more important.
You're gonna really? When you're making dank streaming content in a few years on the internet curfew.
God, you're gonna be more happy.
Spent time watching this learning biochem.
Whatever your Yeah, we're stupid class.
Tell you right now you don't use anything in the caldron.
So if you're in, like, a maybe geometry if your architect but 20.
If you're in, like, calculus, I would obviously turn this up.
Yeah, um, so my eyes ion thing.
Please, uh, I think they should do the same thing and toss out.
Sorry, Jackson Hayes.
Hey, is a rough couple of weeks.
Didn't make the rising stars.
I don't know you're gonna move on, but, you know, rising stars with the most important days of your calendar was there Was there a lot of people but heard about that where people slighted about the Jackson Hey, snugly, He, uh, did you see his video? You know what? Do you are not twitter enough? Because this is This was great.
He basically made a big log.
Well, not really long, but just like a lower first off, it looks like how I stream when it's just me.
It's like a double chin angle.
I live like that.
Hey, does this through this video of him being like man like tthe e N b A like all this.
What? Oh, my God.
I got to see it eat it heated about not making the rising Stars team.
And I'm just like, man, I've got to be honest when it's all said and done, we're looking at your may.
I don't think anybody looks that like, Oh, you know, he was a two time rising star.
Uh, yeah, yeah, but definitely go out on a limb like, say, **** my employer.
Like just definitely, definitely.
Yeah, that move.
Yeah, um, I did.
I was on twitter enough to see the Serge Ibaka G and an O B scarf fight.
Um, did you see that one? No.
Which one? They They're, like, shopping together, and, uh, I didn't want it.
It's It's pretty solid surge about.
There's like they're trying to be funny, but there's obviously a very real tension.
Um, and Serge Ibaka is, like, massively offended that O g thinks, um, he's influenced all of Serge.
Serge is clothings decision that he's like, Oh, gee, style like like, you know, full full stop.
And Serge is like seeing right over the searing indictment in his mind, But wow, bit of style.
They just started rattling off like scarf brands and stuff that she's been wearing That's copping a rich person.
Yeah, it really is.
They really lost their way.
I'm gonna feel ridiculous.
I have been like a a unit, Chlo.
Grace, you're gonna have your Fendi scarf phone curfew.
What do we get it? We'll get you on the whereby someday.
We'll get you on the stream, buddy.
Um, do it in glass.
Yeah, really? Kind of, uh, what was I saying through the school? Yeah, she really lost.
Might? Yeah, this is it right here.
This is, uh this is a classic, like we're gonna lose this serious.
Um, it was like when Johannes get the hell out of who was that? Um um Oh, no, it was on the bulls believe Reject him into the first row.
Oh, um, I'm not gonna remember.
I know what you're talking about.
Oh. Anyways, well, I looked this up.
I want the I want the, um, pelicans to play, uh, Zion at the five.
And, uh and I think that would be pretty pretty interesting to see him at the five and then play kind of like a five out type of thing.
And yeah, e think it would work pretty well.
He's kind of like a like a superstar.
Yeah, like, that's probably the worst competent, But, like in terms of body construction, that's actually the worst cop I've ever made.
Wow, that was bad.
A rich man, Speed J. Tucker.
That was, you know, I just so disrespected one of the best young or a poor man's Robert tractor trailer, you know? Yeah.
That was that I met in body construction.
I mean, the nice part is even guard capably so far, so I'm in on it.
I'm like, a very small in on this this pelican's thinking like what they're doing.
And, uh, I like that Ingram and Lonzo can kind of shoot.
Now it's It's a little frisky If if if game wasn't going on like an all time run, I would look at them kind of like This'll Team could make it.
But I think that I think the blazers get there.
It's this quitter, Dunleavy.
Uh, that's reject.
All right, so and stuff.
Yeah, past fake to get, Wait to start to rotate up to Jason Kidd.
I'd waited so much. Zip it, the sun.
You know, one of my favorites, Rector, actively is Chris Bosh.
I mean, hit the way his career ended was obviously sad, but yeah, I do feel like I didn't appreciate him enough in the moment because I didn't quite get it.
I was like one of those people was like, Oh, he's What is the only stupid threes? Yeah, And now it's like, Oh, wait, that was exactly what you want to be doing truly ahead of his time.
Like right there for his time because he wants his ships.
I kind of forgot about stop me.
I'm I'm gonna try to, like, really focus in on some J kid here and see and just see the beginnings of his second half of his career in which he was, like, preposterously successful on teams that had no business being as good as they were.
Yep, that's please, you know, because he should have been buried.
Yeah, this, uh, he was, like, completely death.
It is getting hot Rondo would turn into Yeah, problem with Rondo.
Is that he? I mean, if you're going to age into that, you have to be big and thick in the way that ticket so that you can post up the rail guard you're going against, um, on offense in the paint double team.
You shopping on the past ways not able to finish.
I like his mind set, though.
He's an attack mode.
You see, the left arm pushes on the hip.
What's the line? So, what you gonna do for your birthday tomorrow? That, uh, gonna go to I don't not do anything to create You're gonna turn up.
I'm getting a little light will turn up.
Let me take this.
Okay? So heads up.
I do is pick up my dock at some point.
Yeah, I mean, we could, but let's go right to the like like the fourth quarter here.
You know what the good part is? It's right across the street, my groomer.
Um so if if worst comes to worst, I can just grab a really quick it'll take, like, two minutes.
Um although I don't know if I should just leave you stranded.
Yeah, I mean, I think that, like So while people are sort of figuring out that we're gonna be here for more than, like 20 minutes on a stream because, um, like, Wait, what is this? I don't get this.
What? Why is there a basketball game in the back? Um well, maybe I think people are coming in and out.
Hang out for a little bit, See? Go see where it goes.
What? What time is the? Is the groomer gonna break down your door? TVT Very TBD. Wait.
What kind of dog is that? It's a little King Cavalier Charles spaniel.
If I deny spurs, I could A I s Oh, my thinking is it's gonna be It's gonna be really long.
A rooming session because I was I thought I booked an appointment about a month ago, and, uh, it's like you do it through an app.
Very future forward grooming right here.
There's not, like, get on a phone and call that really, uh, with the times.
So I had a had a cat groomer come by.
We have cats in the cess, and one of my cats is like a complete, like, useless spazz.
Um and, uh, but it's a great business idea.
It was really hard to get them, like, over here.
It's kind of like picking their brains because, like I as a cat person, I know how hard it is here.
Like bring your catch, the groomer and stuff.
So, like them, being visiting your house is doing is super great and they come and I'm talking to the person I was like So how's business? Like I'm interested in this whole like model you guys got here like it's like you guys are like the only New York city based cat grooming like house visiting crackers I've ever seen.
And she said, was, You see a lot of bad stuff, see a lot of heartbreaking, which is like just like I guess people living in squalor like you go to their house is like a cat, like on a pile of, like, you know, eating out of cans and stuff.
Yeah, it's a slick, apparently, cat lady after cat lady.
Um, and bad situation schooler.
So? So they like you could see there was, like, the 1000 mile stare in their eyes.
They they've been to war in back, broken over.
That's Ah, What did you say back to that? I stopped.
I was like, Well, um, I hope you like the place.
So it's all yours.
Here's my stupid cat.
Watch Agassi scratches.
Basically, um, don't step on that big pile of chicken.
Yeah, that's, uh yeah, that's I don't know what you'd say back to that.
It was a It was a conversation stopper for sure.
That's, um Do you remember where you were for this game? At where What, Um, what level of interest you had in this heat map? His finals.
He says that this was when it started.
You know, I was a little bit of a late bloomer on basketball, which, you know, I cared a lot as a kid.
Took some years off.
Everyone's got that.
Yeah, I cared a lot, especially because it was like that was when I got into it through the kg era kg obviously gets moved.
I kind of lost like a little bit of basketball.
Love was gone because I really broke her.
Yeah, really, really took me.
This is why I could never like care.
Like, I guess, cover team that I I've noticed that you you tend to be more of a rooting for the player versus the team kind of guy.
It's interesting the psychological difference in those types of people way.
We all think less of the other two.
That's that's always like, I think, probably near mine, rooting for the Nets for like 20 years.
Feel psychotic? No, I totally get it cause I rooted wolves growing up, and I still I still like that lens of thinking like I'm one of those people that think it's weird to, like follow individual players because I don't even do that either.
I just like, I don't know.
I don't think I obviously by last year's team, I genuinely rooted for that Nets team.
I really, really like that team.
Um, I knew they want that they brought in the star players.
They'd be sacrificing kind of the stuff that made them fun last year, especially this season.
We'll see, like, what happens next year.
But I genuinely really liked that team a lot.
Um, but I think that in trying to cover the sport, I try to keep like my routing site out of it like it doesn't mean I don't get excited about things.
But I try not to, like, get too much of an emotional component.
Um, yeah, which, like sound.
This is such a like classic like, um, completely emotionally destroyed.
No, I think it's like I think it's actually if you if he was actually, like a little bit, I mean what you're trying to be like.
Well, I'll say it this way.
I think modern journalism is sports journalism, like opens with their biases about which team they grew up rooting for in a way that, like previous sports journalistic, you know, whatever decades eras did not, um, tried to approach it with, like, objectivity when they were probably anything, but, um, yep.
Well, so I listen to Simmons a lot growing up red Simmons and I think I learned a lot.
I like I still love Simmons, but I learned a lot.
Just It's, like so much Celtic stuff, especially.
It's gotten worse over time.
It's like thing is a good Lucas J 11 87 says, does it ever keep you up at night? Knowing there somebody s well, fans who are solely fans of ae jeong Leon? Um, workouts? Yeah, Muscle devil.
That was my favorite.
That's my favorite nickname of all time muscle devil.
Um oh, man, that's an incredible I mean, I'm trying to think about how to integrate muscle Devil more into this spin to the stream.
Sure had to do it.
Um Well, think about it, Lucas.
Let's let's brainstorm, buddy.
It was order saying for you guys, the funniest followers. That's hilarious.
Um, so Oh, yes, your big Bill Simmons guy.
So you excited in the ringer? Got bought for $100 billion.
How do I put this? Yes, uh, would be cool if that turned into a job market there.
You hear that, Bill? Yeah, You got We got a live one way e think that was him? W see.
You think that was? Yeah.
You just spat boys.
Pistons era, Stan.
I think that makes a lot of sense.
Yeah, that's that. Sounds like it.
Um, So I have some, uh, some Russell thoughts.
Oh, please leave him alone.
I read John Hollinger s O.
I read a lot of articles last night.
It's been my latest, The big brain on Matt reading away.
I love I do love reading.
I read a time Any fiction, anything like that.
I'm dealing you terribly here.
Just No, no, no, no, no.
All sports get every time.
And I think that I'm one of the last last readers that does that which I think is also why I cold writing.
Really? You guys want to be like Matt Big reader? Check out the athletic dot com 40% off.
Put in the glue guys to check out.
Come on, plugin.
Anyways, God, about a plug of more I read on Lee athletic articles last night.
Ah, a lot of really interesting stuff from the Golden State Bay area beat.
Um oh, yeah, I was watching.
Somebody was talking massive amounts of **** about D'Angelo Russell on the way out, right? Doesn't that the deal? Yeah.
It was a couple guys.
Um, it wasn't so I don't Okay, look, I want to make something one thing kind of clear.
No, No hyperbole, Only just hyperbole.
Uh, yeah, I did the thing where I tweeted something, and it was kind of arbitrary what? I was talking about that, like, a lot of slander coming from the bay, which is just the most generalised, like, generalizing way of, uh, encapsulating that thought.
But, um, look, I'm not when this all this stuff came out, but Russell and the way he approached, you know, whatever season and what they thought of them, The thing that I was kind of irritated about was that a lot of these comments like it.
It felt like they were gonna and it was from the team.
It was from guys on the team.
I wasn't upset with the media guys in the Bay Area for writing this stuff because they're just doing their job.
They're just putting the information out that the team gives them right in saying like, Okay, well, you know, they were not pleased with his defensive effort, and they didn't like that.
He came into camp in shape again.
Like when Marcus Thompson, who I love love, love He is one of my favorite writers, period.
With that article out, um, that kind of like said that they was a swing and a miss with Russell, which I would actually agree with in large part.
Um, the thing that I was upset about was not at him for writing it for the team, basically giving him all this information and doing this right after he gets traded.
And it just like I don't know, I feel like there may be a time or a place.
Or that may be just best to keep that information internally, Mom and kind of slander a guy that you just kept on your roster for the last six months or five months.
And you know, I didn't love it.
I don't I never like when seems do that.
I just feel like it's kind of s***my.
Um, you know, that's a guy that was your employee effectively, and you're spreading a bunch of information about him that could really, really I mean, he's paid which is great, but it doesn't really help his image.
I think in the eyes of the league, and, um, I don't know, I didn't love it.
The stuff that I like, though, was a lot of the like advanced number stuff.
Um, I think there's some real concerns with Russell.
Uh, you know his defense the way he doesn't get to the rim.
But I think that I want I really like the problem because I like John Hollinger's, um, he hasn't been always the hugest wrestle guy, but he did kind of make the point that, like, look, he has his deficiencies there really bad.
But he is really good at shooting and he's a really good passer.
Uh, and that's kind of what I've been arguing a little bit.
Is that those skills I would say, like from the point guard position, are probably the most important.
Um, it would be nice if you got to the rim or he's drawing more fouls, but yeah, I've you know, we we went on the did the stream yesterday.
I think I was kind of like trying to figure out it was just such like a crazy couple of hours and that I wasn't really sure where.
I wasn't a lot of this stuff, But yeah, I kind of want to get this out somewhere.
I know it's not.
No, you got it out, out, out, out of your system.
I think it's interesting.
I was watched the You're saying the ringer's livestream about the deadline and I think Bill Simmons summarized it sort of nicely, Um, or like Ellie, similar is like the conventional thinking about the engines of Russell nicely, which is that, like he plays in the way that people don't like, just like the James Hargon style.
Yeah, I think generally people have, like a, um you know, he starts 30 feet out, and, um, it's basically just an attempt to get his the person that's guarding him into jail as fast as possible on then, like, sort of work out of there.
Now I like that I can see past you like I like it a lot, and I can see past the uh like it is just like a sort of like anyone that has, like a strong like strategy behind their game is fun to watch for me.
Like, how do you apply that, like one strength is interesting, even when people talk massive amounts of **** about watching, even like the furthest end on that spectrum, like shack or something who was just bully ball? I'm just back people down.
People thought it was incredibly boring.
I could get behind that just because it's like it's a weapon that's so singular and so like fun to ****yse itself in Silicon.
Dangerous is probably not that weapons, not there.
It's not as like, you know, part baked into the cake is like his identity.
Um, but it is, I think, conventional thinking that that's not fun basketball, which I I can't really.
I also can't relate to the James Harden Hate that much. I don't know.
The only thing that, like James Harden hatred like, actually sucks is like what is playing your team? And he's just getting like, 15 free throws.
That's like a grind, and it's like But you have to divorce your feels in that situation a little bit and know that he's doing something really interesting.
Um, like a practical level.
Yeah, like he's kind of breaking.
Yeah, it's like it's like 1/4 wall sort of braking thing.
It's basically an intern in exchange with him in the ref and the rules of basketball.
And it's like finding these very it is just toying with gray areas in perception, like over and over again, really interesting again when it's against your team that you like.
And he's shot 20 free throws that night and, like, game was slow as ****.
For that reason, I get it, it's knowing.
But, um, I think just conceptually, it's pretty fun.
I could not watch them all the time.
Uh, so I kind of see both sides.
But when I do watch them, I think I find it way more entertaining than, like, the average consumer.
Does it just just feel like so many people are, um, really, against that style? But, you know, I mean, maybe I'm just like a really, uh like, I just totally transitioned over this, but I kind of want to see the ball in the hands of the best player, right? I I don't know.
They really deliver on that over there, like, I don't know.
Maybe I'm just like in the minority with that.
You know, and I understand, like from a purist perspective, like the idea that it's kind of like icing out his teammates, and it's like, Oh, yeah, you want to get the ball when I want you to shoot? But, uh, for some of those, like some of the guys I'm like, that's okay.
Like I don't need to see that Macklemore creating his own shock.
Ben Macklemore great, his own shot and, for the words police away were the criticisms of D'Angelo Russell that he, like, wasn't helping facilitate the growth of younger players and stuff.
Or was it anywhere? And I think that that's also becoming a little bit of a misconception.
Kind of bull****.
A two bit like Damon Lee's having like a great like they have guys who have broken out despite all their horrible losses.
And look at the Nets like Joe Harris had a great year last year, and a lot of that was because of the looks that Russell would get him in transition.
And I don't know.
I think that the Russell thing, his passing is really, really understated, and it was the first thing that stuck out to me about him is a player, but right before, like he really went on that giant giant run from January on, um, I wrote something, and I think last December was one of the first things that really like, kind of, I guess got shared and stuff on Twitter is probably really, like, kind of got me start a little bit in a lot of ways.
Uh, but I wrote this thing on his passing being like, Hey, like, they're something here.
Like the shooting is still kind of if he and he's inconsistent, But he's consistently making an impact on games through the way that he involves his teammates.
Um, and I still feel that way about him.
I think that, you know, there again concerns galore with him.
Um, that will be magnified in Minnesota with defense, and him in town's getting absolutely smoked in opposing pick and rolls.
But I like those two together, and if they find the right guys kind of three indie guys that are so so sought after in the league now if they can uncover a couple of guys like a a TLC is the first guy I think he's like, taken corsages, pick up a couple of us.
It's kind of interesting.
The big thing for them is finding another big to play alongside.
Sounds to kind of cover up for him.
Like they could get, like, a really weird old school back to the basket, Um, tough defender and put next to him.
That's how I would approach that.
They're the one team where the old school four would really make sense because he likes to hover at the three point line.
So shut up to check.
Guys, don't Don't feel like you can't talk to us on your on whatever platform you're watching.
You know, everyone is, um, pretty entranced.
But this this game, um, and probably their eyes air glassed over thinking about what D'Angelo Russell looks like on the Minnesota Timberwolves right now, hasn't it? No, this is That's not that was not directed at you, Rose.
That's that's sort of how I'm thinking.
Like, what would that look like? Um uh, offensive.
So to that point, though, I think that there's, like, a sort of, um, I don't know, a not good sort of like cognitive bias thing that people traffic in, which is, like, um, higher usage means better like opportunities for players.
And I think, like, generally speaking for unless you're like a super elite player and you're looking Thio, you know, get get the most out of like role players are like Get people for whom? Joe Harris from 2013 to be Joe Harris, 2017.
Um, having a gravity inducing star player allow for that, like better efficiency in the confidence that arrives from that kind of efficiency and allowing them to do a lot more, you know, natural basketball things.
Instead of having the ball and trying to facilitate an offense.
I think people like deeply underrate what that does for, like a guy's confidence.
And so, like, I'm kind of interested to see what the Golden State Warriors do you like.
Studio have seemingly looks like after this trade, and if he's like basically responsible for leading that offense at this point, that's a that's a ton of responsibility for a D.
That's like, really freshly given a job here.
Yep, so and I don't know that that's a good thing.
Like you can you can speak in smoke someone's confidence in the same way.
Um, um, yeah, that the interesting point.
I'm gonna plug this Hollinger article I really liked.
That is such a basic take.
Everybody likes everybody people.
People have beef with 100 like nets do because they gave him 37 wins, which is weirdly gonna be right on the money.
So he mentioned that Wiggins was one of the more untradeable contracts.
Like they made a little bulletin board.
He said in Memphis, and he was like a top which is the at, like, the port I didn't really think about because I feel like this year he kind of you had that really good stretch for the 1st 2 weeks.
He started the first month looking good, and then it was the same.
Yeah, he kind of settled into who he is.
For some reason, I've completely overrated those 1st 2 weeks because he does that, like every season.
And, uh, I didn't think about like, Oh, this is really, like, one of the most like seeing all the money out there, like 94 million there.
Pretty much locked into this team unless they trade their picks and try to get something back, I guess, uh, they trade their pick from this year, which I don't think will happen.
Um, And that Minnesota pick along with Wiggins that, like, maybe they could get something, but yeah, I didn't even think about that.
This is still, like, one of the most untradeable contracts, and they're really stuck with this team.
So that's gonna make my head Grace and kind of try to figure out like what this looks like.
Um, And then I saw someone comments on something night threw up today on Twitter.
Uh, basically saying that Myers is a fraud.
And this is, you know, he's been coasting up Cherry West hotels.
That was like, Boy, I wish this was on stream that would earn the most flames.
Post talk flame that flame that out big time that ****e.
Um, how do you feel about that Tick outside of it.
So e I look, I kind of did a little actually recent other people did research on the Oh, those anonymous strangers.
Uh um, he was done in June of 2017.
Um, and, uh, my players, Jerry West, was and, uh, the main moves that they made were obviously the curry clay tandem drafting Draymond, giving Draymond more of a role.
And then eventually Durant That was all when West was in power.
Essentially since then, their main victories, at least to what I've seen, where that was the slight travail resurgence.
And then, um, the the past.
Oh, gosh, I'm not doing it. I'm doing it.
Eric Paschal, There we go.
I just don't know where you're going for that.
It wasn't gonna e I just wanted to Here it's like a Rorschach test.
What comes up? It's a terror.
I get literally get scared about making that I've seen and right over and over like, Oh, I've never said that name out saying That's right.
I don't know if I've been reading it wrong.
My head? I don't know.
Uh, so, yeah, that's been his main two moves that I can think of I don't know unless I'm missing something they had, like the weird karev go thing that didn't work.
That didn't work.
Uh, it's ****y, really ****y.
They got rid of Gigi in a first to the nets to get this deal.
Oh, thing in that I mean all the journalists that cover them pointing this out it really, really, uh, didn't work.
Um, who was that? That was tweeting about Andre Iguodala.
Like having his next career being like a super agent.
Um, that feels like so basically, Like what he's done here has been pretty incredible.
Like leveraging minimal interest on the Rockets into, like, 45 $45 million in his Golden State Warriors contract.
Then after that, going to Memphis, he brokered and not playing for half a season set up like his in the next phase of his like retirement career, Basically post retirement career and then right swung it into this, which detect on an extra 30 million.
It's pretty unbelievable.
Like wheeling and dealing.
Um, yeah, the extension is what, like took me aback.
You like, I think we talked to you Like what they did at all.
Like in terms of like what I will be, I remain interested to see what a good Ella has left in the tank.
I guess I fall in the pessimistic side of that I hate you know you don't want it.
You don't want to do that.
But, um, that's sort of where a Texas legends.
What's up, dawg? Dallas Mavericks, 2011 champs.
How did you know? Who told you? How did you get that? Um, yeah.
What's up to you? Thanks for. Thanks for joining.
So I am pretty something.
I am intrigued because again, like I like the idea of just, like, super doubling down on your strengths and like, wing defence seems to be something that they are living and dying on already.
So just like so.
So just invest more heavily in That is fun.
Um, I don't remember this, but, um, that's a butt clincher.
Um, yeah, but yes.
Oh, that was for those reasons.
Like I'm into it, but also pretty su****ious that it's not gonna work out very well.
Maybe it's like maybe they actually, like, have a little, like, playoff run here.
I mean, I could see it.
The Gallo thing would have swung.
Yeah, I think Jake route.
I mean, all the chatter about Irabu.
Like a bunch of it, but never undoing you pretty good.
That was a good one.
I'd completely lost Oh, Jae Crowder, The Newman.
In terms of how overvalued his, uh, Dre Crowder is the classic.
You get really excited about him joining your team until you watch him.
Yeah, And you're like this, though.
I do think Robert Covington is going to be amazing.
Well, Robert ***mings is good.
Of course. Like he's overweight. Overvalued.
Don't get me wrong.
I didn't understand what you mean, but I think, like it's possible that he could be valued correctly, even despite him.
Um, which, like, I've been sent me up last night.
He had an awesome game.
Second, I gotta go back in, put that on the street matters.
Yeah. You get you should watch the game.
Promise me that you won't just put this on, like, tomorrow tomorrow afternoon That we'll, uh depends what I'm doing tomorrow.
You know what? I think there's a bunch of like this.
This sounds conceded.
Uh, we're getting dangerously get it.
There might be stuff planned for tomorrow.
Uh, so a surprise surprise party you're not aware of? Yeah, I don't know, but I know I'm having people over tomorrow night, We're gonna go out.
If there's anything going on the morning, well, there's been rumbling.
Sources tell me that we think, but if I don't, I would be down to watch.
That game is a game I'm thinking about Just streaming nets game Be dirty dog that way.
Um, who would be on SportsCastr dot com? It sportscast are? Yeah.
We won't be doing that on a no on periscope or twitch.
I remember that shot, Um, me into the three.
The thing about the, like, really, these Mavs, I think they like In hindsight, it feels like it was lucky because it was just a one off.
They didn't go back to the finals again after this, and but they really confidently whipped on every good team in the NBA on their way to this to this victory here.
Um oh, look at that little Oh, Shawn.
Oh, it was supposed to hit that.
What would Abraham Lincoln have done? Uh, dunked it? I did. Was tall.
Is hell What? Texas legends.
Bryant says Woody, studying on this game met what you're looking for specifically for research in science.
As he watched these 2011 Mavs and heat do battle.
I'm enjoying the kick out the kick out action that we've discussed earlier in the broadcast before.
I think we discussed just about everything other than this game.
Yeah, uh, which is I think how these we're gonna go.
We're gonna find a glaze at the 2nd 3rd quarter and really lock in for quarter, for that seems like the best way to do this.
Yeah, I think what What I'm interested to see is just the, you know, the research and science behind the imbalance in terms of athleticism and how they actually, um, how they actually pulled that **** off despite being super crusty and Ricky and a shape looking and small, but like thick.
And I think I you've often heard me invoked with the term thickness, but I do like, think is the terms, like a basketball strategy that thicknesses like, deeply underrated.
Yes, that's a good That's a really good, uh, like, kind of irrefutable.
Yeah, it's one of those, like, old timey kind of our arguments that, like it's like, Michael always make fun of me about this, but like, um, a huge, just like appraiser of people's body features and, like, the way that they, like, move and present themselves and things like that.
Um, it's my, like, cigar chomping, like, you know, boxing manager.
Something in me that comes up for these things things.
But that's the character that he thinks of.
Um that's pretty good.
Yeah, Texas legend.
We got another good one.
Uh, thank you for hopping on.
Mavs fan here. This is cool. We're getting some reach here.
Uh, Mavs will be back in the finals with Luca and KP.
Uh, it's taken a while, and I just want him to stay on the floor, but KP showing a little bit.
It's a little bit.
It seems like you know what? I just want to I want to see them both play together.
Well, um okay, so this is actually a good little I want to discuss this.
I don't always get the opportunity to talk about other teams, which I think is kind of nice that we're doing these streams because it sort of allows me to get a place to voice some of these, uh, I like John Collins on the maps.
If he does get moved, um, he pretty much does everything that people seem to kill KP for, which is run, pick and roll.
He posts up, he gets boards.
He's basically like the inverse Chris stops for Zynga's.
What do we think of that? Is that a zesty take? Weird take.
Like, why are you thinking about that? Take what do we think it out on Texas legends? Brian, I'm gonna you know.
Do you want to come on the stream here? I'm putting my wear by Russian James Pop in if you want.
Are you getting on? Okay.
You know sick, right? You want? If you want help on, we're on their, um, Jet.
Terri is our vice president of the I had no idea that he was here in Texas away. Interesting.
I'm only curious.
I work for Texas legends for their deal.
All right. What up? A five.
So this this weird this John Collins to the maps thing is my latest imaginary fit that I really, really like, because I the Collins thing.
I think I have a feeling I don't know if they're gonna move him.
But I do think it said something that they were taking calls on him.
They might be a little dubious of how he fits into what they're building because they are.
They're basically just trying to be the Warriors.
Um and I don't know, like, I think he's a very good fit for Trey Young offensively, but I don't know.
It's like defensively.
He's undersized and they probably have to go, um, to go basically, no, you know, like they'd have to probably play him at the center, which I don't think it's gonna work that well, Collins.
I mean, um, just because he just a little undersized, he's getting better on defense.
But so this is my latest fascination is where could John Collins go? People on our side of things.
The Nets thing really wanted him on the Nets.
I'm not sure that's the best fit.
Um, I think he needs to be on like a purely three point shooting shot blocking centers team and I The report singles thing is a nice fit.
He's kind of like, just a way better.
Dwight Powell, I'm here.
I am not engaging.
No, I just I am just thinking about ***ist legends.
Brand saying, Let me see if Jason Terry is free.
So it could be that.
Give me that. Jason Terry's gonna pop in the stream.
So just think about what that will look like from a technical perspective.
Do you think is right about John College? He's going to think about that.
Uh, Matt, Say Cady will never come back and lead the Nets Thio Eastern Conference finals.
It'll become a lock.
Uh, do you know about my jinx power? I don't know.
Is that a mean, Mean? It's a really mean.
So what? Give me some examples. My guarantee.
Anything? It it basically, uh, the opposite happens.
I'll give you two examples Yesterday Yesterday was a great great Just a moment in time for the Matt Brooks drinks.
Uh, I said something along the lines of like, it's pretty much a lot, not a lot, but I was like, Really? Seems like we're getting into a trade like a quiet deadline.
About an hour before that, I said woes is like, Whoa is taking a load management day because you get lost.
Watch within that hour, D'Angelo Russell gets traded, and words is the one to break it.
And I'm like, Awesome.
So, yeah, the Matt Brooks Jason's absolutely defeated.
It wasn't even with No, it wasn't in the hour.
I think my tweet about the, uh, about it being a quiet deadline.
I think it was about maybe, like, five minutes later that the D'Angelo Russell thing happened an hour later than the world's things.
Um, yeah, Um I'm just I'm just I'm just writing a I was gonna do ah, raining l's gift.
You know, like, I have the fire thing.
Like Els raining on you.
Like that kind of thing.
Just just some production notes is is Jet really gonna hop on? It's It's actually physically prepared.
Find Jason Terry.
A pop in every cool Ah, Former net.
Former net. Great. Jason. Terry.
Yep, That's that would be interesting.
I want to hear about his time with Andrei Kirilenko.
Um how under Carolyn was I don't know.
No, I don't actually care about that.
What do I care about what thinks I care about the panic sets in like, uh, free anyone groomers like.
Hey, your dogs, right? Yeah.
Just set it free set of it.
It's been a minute since I dropped her off.
Mike, I don't know how long grooming takes.
Uh, it might take really long, but she's They all start to attacks.
Like how do you have my number? You know, I'm just gonna leave it alone, you know? I don't know.
I like inter Russians.
Like I need to get onto this dream of taking forever.
My dog might have a new, uh, new home.
Yeah, um could be the subway, So look nice.
There rest fresco.
Brian, How are those? I heard this Texas legends doing this year.
Buddy, how we looking? We're gonna stream Cem Cem Long Island Nets second only.
Only if Moose is getting some real minutes.
You know, I'd actually be I've become interested.
They have really have Evan Canady.
I believe who I liked.
Look, look at the Long Island.
Who's like who's the gunner right now in the ge li Just in general.
Let's look at some stats like not now.
This is exactly what people want to hear, right? What? What is? Who's leading the G league in points per game? Just, uh, this This is what people come for right here is the, uh, the G league ****ysis our thesis, The kinds of people we want at minute.
Like what, Like 80? You know, thes.
They're the people.
These are our people.
You imagine being in, like a text.
Dude, I'm watching these guys sick.
Yeah, absolutely sick.
G league ****ysis.
You guys want Taco Fall is leading the Does that per game? Or is that how many's totals? Like 17 Says Why? Why would it give me totals I don't care about? All right.
What's going on? Oh, Jesus.
Lord, 16 rebounds per game.
Uh, so So people people talk about is the figure who I think was Doris Burke, who's was sort of doing a little bit of a cultural criticism here, But like the, uh, like elephant man, sort of vibe of the taco, fall like adulation does feel a little weird to be a great it's really Thanks, Stephen.
All right, So some scoring leaders.
What am I looking at? Oh, Yes, Our guy Moussa.
Seven points with an absolute sniper.
Numbers 12 and three, I think are cheating.
We got Jordan pool who I thought was a starter on the rial Warriors.
I guess it doesn't really make a difference.
You can kind of just interchange those two rosters.
D Leaguer, Probo.
Uh, Denzel Valentine Who was? Ah, Hot hot target on the trade deadline.
Sniping it in the G leak in his one game.
Played 25 points in that game, 44% from three.
And had Stanley Johnson tough career.
Uh, you know, even in the G league, he is shooting 32.
6% 31% from three.
Still averaging 25 points per game.
She keeps on check in, Stanley? Uh, yeah.
And then it's just a bunch of it's like guys that I really thought we're playing this year.
Uh, so this is this is it. Here's the grooming. Please.
Please, Jet, don't. Come on.
Um, So what? We threw What? It was like when you were getting that that tattoo.
Everyone talks about the tattoo.
Where did it come to you in a dream? Just getting us.
Matt's got to get his dog from the groomer.
Potentially a little Jason Kidd working the post against Mario Chalmers.
All I think about point three.
How many of I've been committed jumping up? Thank you.
That should be way.
Doesn't get the call.
I'll tell you what.
Um, I might be picking the dog up right now.
Yeah, You got three minutes and 14.
If you can't hang, we could just skip right to the end and boogie because I I gotta pee real bad, too.
Plastics waken probably bookie.
Um all right, let's Let's get to awesome wave.
Awesome timing for that one to get through the come on.
It was already Jason Kidd was just toying with him at this point.
Putting putting Mario Chalmers in a in a blender.
Um, Steven, how do you feel about dealers? Situations? So, Stephen, we're about to hop off in a second, but for about 30 minutes, right in the middle of this stream.
We just talked about dealers.
So that will be in the recording for certain, But it's looking gone.
Is that from twitch or that's on periscope? Yeah.
Either are so, fellas, we're gonna boogie.
Um, Texas legends.
Brian, shoot us a.
Or whatever. Love to get Jason again in the future.
Good stuff, guys.
Congrats to the 2011 Dallas Mavericks.
Matt, you go get your dog.
I will get my dogs.
Steven, Uh, if you are on Twitter, I'll give you a follow, and I will even let you know what part of the stream that's it.
No, I think, yeah, I'll do that right now.
All right. Stephen gave you a follow.
You already follow me. Cool.
I will. D m u that time.
By Everybody will probably sermon again tomorrow, so yes, I'm not on.
You'll be streaming.
I think so. One way or another.
All right, well, maybe I'll pop on for a bit.
Well, see, I could be a little saucy.
Will you be good
