a while, but, uh, I'm back anyway, and that's good started today.
Obviously, we're talking about the MBA trade deadline.
As towards the end, it picked up, you know, at the start there wasn't really much happening, but I mean, at the end, there's a lot of big trades that happened, and some of them were kind of puzzling, in my opinion.
So let's start by talking about my six years.
By the way, you just waved a tray for and that was kind of expected.
He was one of the players that didn't come to practice, so I just wanted to start with that.
And right before that, they traded James Ennis for a second rounder, and this second rounder is.
It's the Lakers pick, and it would convey as the 59th pick in the draft.
And this really just puzzles me because James Ennis is a rotation play for the six years, and you know, he plays real minutes and I mean he plays, but I don't think we had to trade him.
We could have waived Kyle O'Quinn or Raoul Netto.
I mean, it just seems like a puzzling move to be to me because this wasn't irritation.
And as early as really December, he was the sixth man.
So don't move, in my opinion.
So I would say the Magic one that deal.
But it's not like James, and this is gonna help them win a championship or anything this year, but still a dumb move by the Sixers.
And then last night, the news broke that the six years would be training for Alec Berks and Glenn Robinson, the third both really good players on the Warriors the season.
And I know their stats up might be driven up, since the Warriors are not a good team.
But, I mean, it's they're still really good players and intrigue a three second rounders, and I think that's a really good use of Resource is, as in the past.
Elton Brand has just thrown away second rounders for cash, and this time, you know, he used to get players that are gonna help them.
And there really wasn't much you could do because the six years don't have that many.
Resource is but four by low.
Guys like them like Glenn Robinson.
I think the shooting like 40% from three, which is exactly what we need now, like you could say, Defense wins championships and all, but I mean defense.
They win it for the *** is because we have planned bully ball and it's just not working.
So uh, yeah, then let's move on to the Clippers.
They got Marcus Morris and Isiah Thomas who over just operate here.
Actually, Isiah Thomas, the Clippers are gonna wave Isiah Thomas after they traded from, which is a puzzling move to be to me because Isiah Thomas has been really good for the Wizards this year.
He's averaging double digit points and he's shooting over 40% from three.
So I don't get why they would wave him.
I mean, I guess they have pap Beverly, but you think they could? I mean, since the deadline's passed, you can't flip him.
But I just thought they would keep him, so I was shocked by that.
But anyway, the Clippers got Marcus Morris and Isiah Thomas and the next got Reese Harkless from clippers and they got a first rounder, which I think is okay value.
Uh, I think the first the first rounder, is gonna be late, but it still I mean it still pick and Harkless is again like I said with and it's not gonna help you win a championship.
But that's how you match salaries.
And that's how I get another first round it.
And the Wizards got Jerome Robinson, Uh, for the winners and losers of this trade.
I would say the Clippers definitely want this.
They got two really good players.
Even though Isiah Thomas is, um, leaving and the Knicks got okay value, I would say they're winners, too.
And the Wizards.
It's a puzzling move for me because even though they're not really contending there only four games out of a spot and drum, Robinson, in my opinion, is really not that good.
While Isiah Thomas is a pretty good player and then we go to the cabs, this thick calves and the Pistons, this, to me is the most puzzling trade ever.
It's just so stupid.
So the Pistons traded Andre Drummond, which I never thought was gonna happen.
I just didn't think I was gonna happen into the crabs.
I mean, but they're just keep listening and you'll know why they did the deal.
Whole kid to give up for Andre Drummond, who's a top five center of the N B. A.
Brandon Knight, John Henson and a second round.
You just get 100 Roman for, like, two garbage players in the second round pick.
I just don't get that like drum.
It has said he wants to stay in Detroit for whatever reason, like they're not a good team.
But he wants to stay because, like by the time they're good, he's not gonna be an M B A and where he's gonna be retired.
But he wants to stay in Detroit for some reason.
If he wants to stay in Detroit, then what is it? Detroit is the ability decided to an extension, but and said that his dump him off to the cabs for two trash players in a second rounder.
I really don't get that.
I would give the Pistons and ask for the greatest.
It was It's really just a stupid trade.
And the calves, I mean, I know they're not contending doesn't matter what you're doing.
I mean, the cab's got an A plus.
They got a superstar for basically nothing, and then the D'Angelo Russell trade.
So in this trade the Warriors God Andrew Wiggins, a first round up first rounder, which is top protected and a second rounder.
And the Timberwolves got D'Angelo, Russell's Marsh Bowman and Jacob Evans.
Like D'Angelo, Russell was not enough.
So they have to add, you know, players to sweeten the deal.
I just don't get that.
Uh, I would say the Timberwolves definitely want this deal.
Andrew Wiggins is is decent, but he's nowhere close to was gonna D'Angelo Russell and a first rounder in a a second rounder.
It's okay value I would.
It's not a horrible trade for them.
I would give them like a C and Timberwolves get like a B plus.
I mean, they traded Andrew Wiggins, but you get you upgrade Andrew Wiggins for the majorly and you just pay a first in the second rounder and you've got some decent role players in Amar's Bowman and Jacob.
So maybe even a B plus for the Timberwolves.
It's a solid trade for them and then we go to the Miami Heat.
This is another really puzzled puzzling one for me, So the Miami Heat got Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder and Solomon Hill and they gave up.
They gave up Justise, Winslow and Dion waiters.
This is so puzzling to me.
Like the Grizzlies get an A plus on the steel.
They honestly they are mostly did so well.
Justise Winslow is an above average player in Evie.
He's a solid role player.
He's a very good player and say what you want about Dion waiters.
But I mean I mean, it doesn't matter because get injustice Winslow Dion waiters or just a match salary.
But Andre Eager Dollar Look, here's the thing.
The Grizzlies had absolutely no leverage here because I'm sure your dollar doesn't want to play that he doesn't want to play there.
So if if they traded him, I thought they were gonna get like, a second room to get most because it's not like they're gonna do anything with him anyway.
But they got justice. The Winslow.
I mean, how did they get Justise Winslow like that is a major win for them.
And, uh, I just think the Grizzlies did a great job on that because they got another player to add to their young core and I mean, they're contending the season, and in future seasons, they will probably conducting too.
And then we got a few more trades.
Uh, next we have the Dwayne Dedmon trade and he goes back to Atlanta with, ah, couple second rounders.
And they give the King's Jabari Parker and Alex Len both these teams.
I don't think it's a horrible trade.
Obviously, Dwayne Dedmon is, well, small.
Upgrade over, Alex, Alex, Len, You're also getting to second rounders.
But I mean, second rounders aren't really that significant, in my opinion, but the Bari Park is good.
I mean, he's averaging 15 points this year and he plays decent events.
So I think I just think you're barring Mark is really good and he might, uh, uses player options.
So I don't know.
It's just kind of puzzling because Jabari Parker is still decently young, and it's not like Dwayne Dedmon is gonna help the Hawks win a championship.
I mean, you never know.
They might draft someone unexpectedly in the second round that turns into a superstar, but that's about it.
And they gave up Jabari Parker, who I think could have been a good a good piece for years to come.
And Alex London, Alex Len doesn't matter.
I just think Jabari Parker.
He probably should have stayed.
And if it's for Dwayne Dedmon, I think it's kind of puzzling move.
So I would give the Kings I would give the King's like I would give the King's an a minus on this and I would give the Hawks C minus.
And then the last deal is that huge 14 deal that happened a while ago, and not a while, like a few days ago.
But, um, I'm just It's a big trade.
So we're just gonna go over the stuff That kind of matters a lot because the rest of its role players and that is the Rockets end up talks portion of.
So the Rockets acquired Robert Covington, Jordan Belle, who's solid and a second round pick.
Uh, and the Hawks acquired Clint Capela for role players and, of course, is a four a team deal.
So they're not acquiring players from each other always, and the Rockets on this one. I would I would give B.
I think Robert Covington is a good player, and Jordan bells a good player and you get a second round or two does not. Horrible.
Here's the problem.
They are extremely small now, they? Their center is Tyson Chandler, and he's 37 years old Isaiah Hartenstein.
But those were the only two player like the next tallest players like Robert Cubby, who is 67 That's a problem.
Your third biggest players 67 six years, third biggest players like seven feet now, not some people like 6 10 It's just I just like I don't think I think you need size and Ebba today and some people arguing the opposite.
But and Max ups like if you apply, you generally have an advantage.
So I mean, the problem is they're starting center is gonna be P. J.
He's 66 66 and he's gonna be starting at center like do not see a problem with that.
It's just it's just a huge risk.
And I think Appel if it well, with their system, there was actually no need to trade Capella.
But now they're just traded for the heck of trading.
So I mean, Brooke, coz good Jordan bells go.
Did you get a second round pick? The problem is, you don't really have a center and get this today there.
Before the deadline, they were trying to trade for Tristan Thompson, Your training your center away saying you could play small ball and trying to trade for another set of realizing.
Oh, yeah, Maybe we do need You needed some tall players.
It's just so stupid.
You say you could play small ball and then you don't.
Then you change your mind the next day, and I think it's gonna be in the state.
Um, uh, I I really don't think it's gonna be a mistake.
We'll see what happens.
It We'll see what happens.
Come playoff time, we'll see if it's the right decision and the Hawks got They got Clint Capela for just some role players, which is a brilliant job by them.
I think they did a great job, and I'm gonna give him a an A plus because rope role players are role players.
I mean, like there a place, a ball.
Clint Capela is an amazing player, and he has potential to be an all star.
So they got compel.
And you might say, Well, the Hawks are contending there like they're the worst team in the east.
But Trey Young is unhappy, which is just start with this.
That's a red red flag if you're a superstar, is unhappy after he knew like when he came here that like it wasn't gonna be a great team because he got drafted so early.
But in the second year, if he's complaining, which that's a red flag because there might be some tension later on between the Hawks and Trey Young.
Because, let's face it, unless they can get great value in a trade, they're gonna need training to compete in the future.
But I think that makes it so.
He was just complaining, but he wanted more talent with him, and I mean, the Hawks listen to him and they did a good job.
And now I think the Hawks are a good team because everyone that big trails and I love John Collins.
John Collins is my guy.
Ah, and I mean, now they have Flint Capello.
That's that's a solid Big three and you got the whole young core DeAndre Hunter.
I mean, that's a that's a competitive team in the in the future.
So I'm gonna give the Hawks and a plus on that would, uh, anyway thanks.
