It is finally his time.
Andy Reid wins the big one.
Big right got his Gatorade bath and everything gloating in his glory.
And it's awesome.
It's awesome being an Eagles fan, seeing Andy Reid winning his first Super Bowl.
And, you know, I I remember Philadelphia here well, in there 1st 2 years ago.
And I'll tell you what, It's a lot easier watching him win its first Super Bowl after winning one.
I wouldn't know how I would have felt tonight.
Have Eagles, Not 11 And he had gone on to win one with Kansas City.
While, you know, obviously the Eagles let him go, But, um, how about that? How about that game? Great game.
And you know, this was a gutsy performance by the Chiefs gutsy performance by Patrick Mahoney because I didn't think he played exactly the best football tonight.
I thought, by his standards, he could be a lot better.
I don't think his accuracy was exactly the best in terms of ball placement.
Could have been a lot better, you know, if you remember, Tyreek Hill had to come back to a lot of balls, haul a lot of low froze, but despite the fact that he was harassed for most of the game despite the fact that he did kind of struggle with inaccuracy.
He put together to clutch drives late in the fourth quarter.
Toe put the chief's ahead, and he could be the guy in the next decade for the next decade.
You know, we've had the last three here in the two thousands.
We had Tom Brady, Peyton Manning last decade.
Still Peyton Manning, obviously.
Ah, Brady and then Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees.
And then year 20 twenties.
We might be looking at Patrick Holmes and again, you know, he was 26 of 42.
He did have 16 incompletions, 286 yards to touch.
Picks took four sacks, and that was another thing about this game.
San Francisco ran the ball well.
22 carries, 141 yards.
They pressured Patrick Mahomes.
They got four sacks.
Nick Bosa was everywhere to forced.
Buckner had a sack and 1/2.
They harassed him for most of the game.
For 3/4 Patrick Mahomes had the dink and dunk his way down the field.
It was difficult, and I don't leave did he have Dink and dunk his way down the field? Andy Reid was reluctant to call a lot of deep play action passes.
The D play action didn't really start occurring until the Chiefs had to go to it because they got down 20 to 10.
They trailed and while they were trailing third and 15 faced with a 13 15 because the second and 15 got called back.
Tyree Kill didn't corral low pass again talking about that inaccuracy tonight from Patrick Mahomes.
But the third down in 15 we got a little, uh, boot to the right.
If I remember correctly, throw it all the way down.
The field watched and Hill is wide open.
I think I was really there.
There first deep shot of the game.
If I remember, it leads to a touchdown.
Travis Kelsey cuts the deficit 20 to 17 and then we see Cow Shanahan kind of wilt away in the fourth.
We'll get back to him.
A choke tenor gonna get back to it.
But my homes after a three and out, it's Sammy Watkins.
Richard Sherman, down the right sideline pig up 38 yards, I believe.
And they go and score again.
You know, I I didn't think Damian Williams was in the end zone, by the way.
I thought his foot was out of bounce before he got in.
But, you know, it's that thing where ah, you know, if the calls on the field, you're not really gonna overturn it, so okay.
But I thought he was short.
And if yours short, it would have been interesting to see what Andy Reid would have done Would have gone for it 1/4 and goal from, like, the half inch light.
Well, the what if game we can't play it because the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, So Ah, there you have it.
Um, going to the San Francisco side.
I want to talk about caution.
And here because I really believe you took this game away in some ways, uh, in the first half to be so conservative to be so reluctant to not try and get the ball down the field.
Uh, it was a let's see, it was the fourth possession of the game, By the way, they were only, uh, believe was nine total possessions.
In this game, you're normal game has about 12.
So I didn't really see a lot of possessions in this one.
That's why, um, you know, I didn't think the overhit that thing was 53 a half.
So we saw the under.
If we would have had a little bit more possessions, we would've saw the over.
But, uh, you know, San Francisco was really controlling this game for free and 1/2 quarters, I thought s So where were they? They were.
Well, they had a chance to call a time out.
Yeah, at the two minute mark.
And they found the 59 seconds, which was stupid.
Didn't even try to get points.
You think Doug Peterson would have done that? And then in the fourth quarter, inexplicably, Jimmy G is throwing the football.
When you know the San Francisco 40 Niners, they were running for over five yards a carry.
So this possession here Ah, there protect their three and out.
That was sandwiched in between these two touchdowns by Kansas City.
First down and five, where he most of our first down and 10 Raheem Mostert picks up five off. Right tack.
I remember that play very vividly.
Second and five, they throw the ball.
Hi, throw from Jimmy.
I would have kept pound of that clock.
You think you would have learned No.
So you got a punt, then? The chief score touchdowns.
Jon Hamm was getting too cute again.
Getting too cute.
All right, let's see.
Next possession, actually, was the okay.
So there was another one before that, though.
Okay, so this was the five play drive before the first touch out.
These that this was the driver was thinking about.
Ah, well, these two, but most dirt goes for six yards.
On first down, Jimmy J hits a completion of kibble for 12.
Most start for one, and then they run the car.
Then they throw the ball two more times.
Well, Jimmy G scrambled, but that was a called pass, so three called passes.
Two runs, man second and nine.
I run the ball, pick up like six yards or 33.
Then you run the ball again and you pick up a first out.
It's what he did in the NFC championship.
Just ran it one time after another.
It's not saying it's not like the Niners were struggling on the ground.
And he's throwing the ball.
No, they were excel in whatever they were doing, whether it was Debo Samuel Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman.
4 yards per carry, the average 12 for 58.
Mostert went Debo.
Samuel turned a corner a couple times.
He had 53 yards on that little uh, that pitch play, which which I liked a lot.
The stats on the Kansas City side.
Nine for 105 for Tyree Kill Sammy Watkins.
Six catches, 43 yards, one touchdown.
Damian Williams, 17 carries, 104 yards and a touchdown.
And then, of course, the receiving touchdown.
Four catches for 29 yards.
Let's see, has the as the Super Bowl M V P been revealed.
Yet I wonder if it's gonna be my homes or Damian Williams, because I think it should be Damian Williams, but it might go to my homes.
I didn't think this was a particularly great performance for Patrick, Holmes moans according to his standards.
I think I've seen so much better than him.
Honestly, this was, I think, one of his his worst performances of the season, which crazy as it sounds, But he comes up collection in the end.
And honestly, that's all that matters as he wins another game, trailing by 10 plus points.
And I had the stat on ah, beating your bookie radio show here in Philadelphia Not on on the gambler Fox Sports a gambler that issue.
Check that out every Thursday and Sunday morning.
Thursday from 6 to 7.
Sunday from 10 to 11 a.m.
But yeah, we had it and, uh, they have Okay, so there you go.
I just saw this that pop up This the first time this season, Petra moans, is throwing two interceptions in a game.
This, honestly, might have been his worst performance of the season, not even joking, but he was clutched, so I guess that doesn't make it is worse.
But ah, you know, he wasn't exactly his most accurate.
He was throwing incompletions low.
He was behind receivers and the same thing for Jimmy G.
Jimmy G started 18 of 22 but he was thrown behind.
Sanders could have had a bigger game.
You had a couple of times where, you know, had some crossing routes, and he was throwing behind quick slants a little bit behind you.
Put that ball right in front that allows, obviously, for more yards after the catch.
So both quarterbacks that I thought were a little bit shaky in this one, both first Super Bowl starts, and I think it kind of showed, um, so there it is.
Any read wins the big one.
Kansas City 31 San Francisco 20.
Ah, that's kind of break down the defense a little bit more for Kansas City.
I, uh I really liked what I saw from from a shot really tonight.
I don't know if anybody's gonna be talking about Greenland or not, but he had a really, really big game for Kansas City.
He was physical with his tackling, which, which is important sometimes here against, you know, can't, uh, against San Francisco.
I saw tackle Kittle.
I believe it was and, you know, he made some really nice place, seven tackles and all.
He was actually the leading tackler for the Chiefs, and he actually made some plays and coverage.
A cz well s 00 How could I forget to mention Chris Jones and what he was doing slicing through the defense and also all those tipped balls at the line of scrimmage? A lot of tipped passes And you know, that's something that J.
J. Watt really started.
And it's being done down by a lot of different players.
Ah, lot of players now are tapping, uh, tipping passes at the line at the line of scrimmage.
So Chris Jones did that.
I want to say, like, three or four times tonight.
He did it a bunch of times whole lot of times.
So the sack totals for San Francisco, one after DeForest Buckner Nick Bosa had the the strip sack, but Patch Mose was able to recover it.
Earl Mitchell got 1/2 a sack, and then the other one was by Jacqui Stick Jack Whiskey tart.
So there you go.
Uh, that's my recap of Super Bowl 50 four.
The Gator. It was orange.
Andy Reid has won the big one.
Uh, let's see here.
Do we have a Super Bowl of BP yet? As before, I it's a part here.
I'll tell you what, though, that for halftime show Pope.
So they did give it to Patrick Holmes.
Super Bowl M v P.
I would not have gone Patrick Holmes.
I would've gone Damian Williams.
But obviously, this is a quarterback award.
So he was gonna win it, you know? Probably regardless.
To be honest, you know what? He led the two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter.
So there it is, 31 to 20 halftime show just to kind of stay there at the end. Ah.
I'll tell you what she cure is really, really hot smoking hot.
I didn't realize how hot she still was.
She was Tor kid, and it was phenomenal.
Oh, phenomenal. J. Lo.
She's still got a booty man.
Quite a halftime show.
I wasn't expecting it to be that good.
Shakira was Just smoke it, Adrienne.
