Nick's family was popping is your boy.
The Knicks will face off versus the Charlotte on its tonight.
Now we're gonna talk about it.
Ladies and gentlemen, hopefully this will be a Well, I don't know if it's gonna be a break from everything that happened with Kobe Bryant and his family and the other families that were in an accident.
Um, but you know this, You know, this may help us move on and move past it.
Although Kobe Bryant was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets before he got traded, So Los Angeles, Right? Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna talk about this game tonight a chance with it next to hit another victory.
The last time we played the Charlotte Hornets, we lost by one point in a close game.
See if we can get this one back, ladies and gentlemen, and maybe even start a winning streak.
Who knows? Who knows? Maybe we could start a winning streak.
We go take a look at the schedule.
Ah, we'll take a look.
We'll talk a little bit about Malik Monk.
I see somebody in the chat just talked about Malik ******? Yes.
Um, a leak monk. We'll talk about that, too.
All right, so let's get this thing popping in on the roll.
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being here.
Hopefully, you having a good day at work.
A peaceful day at work, you know, don't get in any trouble.
Can't afford to have anybody losing their jobs and all that stuff.
I need you guys taking care of your families and all that good stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, let's get down to business here.
Let's talk about the Charlotte Hornets.
The New York Knicks was Charlotte Hornets tonight, 7 p.m.
Ladies and gentlemen, tonight at 7 p.m.
The New York Knicks will face off versus the Charlotte Hornets Spectrum Center and Charlotte, North Carolina.
You could check it out on your local television station.
This image G can also check it out on 98.5.
If you're not in New York, you don't have those.
Two things don't have access There.
You got league pass or you got something.
If you're in Charlotte, you're next. Man.
That's in Charlotte. Wasn't you Can catch it on the local station.
The answer of head coach for the new York Knicks is Mike Miller, the projected starters for the night, often paying that point guard Reggie Bullock at shooting guard Marcus Morris, that small forward Julius Randle at power forward and tides Gibson that center.
Now, ladies, gentlemen, these are projected, which means it could change at any time, any time.
With Nick's PR team sized to drop a link, say that it's something different in exchange.
Update on R J Bear.
Berry is still out with an ankle injury, I continued to make progress.
This is from the Knicks PR team. R J.
Barrett continues to make progress from a sprained right ankle.
It's really existed from crutches to a walking boot.
He'll be reevaluated in one week.
Now that was on the 25th.
So sometime next week, R J.
Barrett will be re evaluated.
Ain't so we'll see how that goes, but for now, Reggie.
But look, it's starting point guard, and it looks like Jamie docks, and it's probably the backup with Charlotte Hornets.
Two head coaches James Borrego, the projected starters for the Hornets.
Otero's yet point guard, the Vontae Graham at shooting guard knickers Nicolas Batum at small forward and Peter Washington that power forward.
You got Cody Zeller at center.
At the moment, there are no injuries.
The Charlotte Hornets.
We'll talk about some of these guys because Devante Graham killed this last game.
Last time you played the horn is he killed us with 29 points and get the game winner PJ Washington.
You heard us inside a little bit, so we're gonna have to.
We're not to step up.
I want to get this win star.
The Hornets haven't been playing well lately.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's a matter of fact the Hornets on an eight game losing streak, an eight game losing streak there, 15 and 31 on the season.
The next 13 and 34.
They won the last game.
They just defeated the Brooklyn.
Some of you were there with me.
I'm pretty sure everybody else watched it on television.
Looking at the team comparison, the next absent 104.
3 points per game, giving up 111.
8 points for game shoot 43.
7% from the field and issued 33.
They're averaging 46.
2 rebounds per game, 21.
2 assists per game and 14.
The offensive rating is one of 4.
8 that's 28th in the league, and their defense of rating is 1 12.
3 That's 24th in the league.
As for the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 103.
3 points per game, they gave up 110.
Begin very similar to the New York Knicks right now.
3% from the field.
And they shoot 35.
4% from three average, 42.
5 rebounds per game, 23.
9 assists per game and 15 turnovers per game.
That offensive rating is one of 5.
6 that's 24th in the league, and their defense of ratings 1 13.
1 That's 27th in the league, UH, ball intensive purposes.
What we're looking at right now says that these two teams should be fairly even, and we've seen that in the first game.
Charlotte one by one point over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in the first game so the teams are fairly even with a season with a season.
The last five games.
Does a little bit of a different story between these two teams.
When we look at the last five games, the Knicks regulars two and three Charlotte Hornets regulars own five again.
They're on an eight game losing streak over the last five games.
The Knicks are actually outscoring their opponents over the last five games because the defense has stepped up ce the defense.
The next defense has been pristine.
It's been pretty good.
It's been really good over the last five games.
Last week or so.
The Knicks are averaging 101.
4 points per game.
That's still not great.
We'd like to see him average more points, but we'll take what we can get right now.
The average 101.
4 points per game opponents are averaging 98.
2 points per game.
Over the last five games, the Knicks are holding opponents under 100 points.
Let's not forget two of those games were against the Los Angeles Lakers, and it's Toronto Raptors now.
Both of those teams scored more than 100 points the Knicks still played very well defensively.
The Knicks is shooting 46.
3% from the field over this time period.
The shooting 32.
We need to get that up because you can't shoot.
The three of you can't garden three.
I think, Nate said that the other night.
Can't shoot three.
We can't guard the three.
That equals a problem for us, right? But we're shooting 38 32.
8% from three over the last five games we grab.
We're averaging 47.
6 rebounds per game, 21.
2 assists per game, and we're averaging 14.
4 turnovers per game.
Our offensive rating over the last five games, this 107.
9 that's 22nd in the league and defensive rating is one of 4.
5 that's fourth in the league.
Orphan A league, ladies and gentlemen over last five games.
When we started this season, one of the things that we said or one of the things that the Knicks said is that they wanted to be a defensive team.
They wanted to have a defense of mindset.
They wanted their identity to be defense.
Now, at the moment in time looks like it's happening.
We'll see if it can last, but it looks like it's happening.
Whatever they've done, it's working.
Now the question still remains.
We continue to play the guys that's on the floor, and if we do continue to play with the defense, continue.
And if we do not continue to play these guys with a defense falter and which do you prefer? That's, you know, that's the question.
Is the defense is coming around? Charlotte Hornets? Their records.
Only five in the last five games, the average of 95.
2 points per game.
They're giving up 107.
4 shoot 40 Prue 40.
6% from the field in the shoot, 34.
They're averaging 39.
8 rebounds per game in 24.
4 assists per game and also averaging 14 turnovers per game.
The offensive rating over the last five games is 100 as 30th in the league last in the league, and their defense of rating is 1 13.
1 That's 21st in the league? No, these were two teams.
While the records are similar and the overall numbers are similar over the last five games last week or so, the Knicks are playing better than the Charlotte Hornets.
The Knicks defense is one of the top defense is in the league over the past few games, and it's not like they have played on Lee slouches.
Okay, you know, they have played good teams and their defense is still playing well.
Is still playing well.
Take a look at some of the key matchups.
First key matchup defines a gram and Reggie Bullock course.
Reggie Bullock has the size advantage on Devante Graham and no veggie.
But look, it's not a point guard, ladies and gentlemen.
He is a shooting guard, so we'll make sure we get that change.
I don't want you thinking the wrong thing.
Anybody who's new here, if you think I'm crazy or you think Reggie.
But look, the point guard, I don't want you going out telling people that read your book is a point guard, and then they tell you know you're nuts.
So, no, he's not a point guard and a shooting guard.
Devante Graham is 61 £195.
He's a guard student, guard point guard combo guard.
Whatever you wanna call him.
He's small, though.
Devante Graham is averaging 18.
6 points per game.
He's also averaging 3.
7 rebounds per game in 7.
6 assists per game.
And he's just under one steel per game.
That's DePante Graham, ladies and gentlemen, he's a low percentage shooter.
8% from the field, but he shoots 38.
That's where that's where the problem lies for the Knicks, though, and that's where the problem lies in guarding Devante Graham.
Now we know that Reggie Book is a good defender, right? And we know that.
You know, uh, overpaying is a decent defender.
We're gonna talk about Terry Rozier as well, because both of those guys is just like playing.
I don't know how we played a couple weeks ago, a couple of days ago, and they had a demeaning Dominion of the minute to backcourt.
See, that's what I get for trying to be five.
Frasier can't even pronounce the world.
We've got a small backcourt.
We need to take advantage of that.
We're gonna talk about that again.
Devante Graham had 29.
2 hit nine threes against this in the last game, nine threes and hit the game winner with 2.
8 seconds left on the clock.
We gotta make sure we get a hold of this guy.
We played defense on this guy and Reggie Bullock.
Last time we played, then Reggie Book was not playing.
So is this a difference? Budgie bookies averaging 10.
1 points per game, 2.2 rebounds.
2 assists per game, 1.4 steals per game.
He's shooting 42.
3% from the field, 34.
All right now, we're not asking Reggie Book.
Score a bunch of points for asking.
Reggie Book could play defense and Davante Graham and not let him go up and get 29 points on us.
But Devine said Graham 29 points.
It was 10 for 19 from the field.
He was 9 to 16 from three.
Cannot let that happen.
PJ Washington will talk about him.
He heard us inside.
He had 19 points, five rebounds.
He was one for 203 point line.
8% from the field.
Overall, we'll get to that, though.
Right now, let's talk about Terry.
Rozier sees the next guard.
He's also mean the menu narrative is small about that.
I just say that he's small.
Caro's years 611 90 Elfrid Payton is gonna be matched up against them.
De Rozier averages 17.
8 points per game, 4.
2 steals per game.
He shoots 42% from the field, and he also shoots 39.
That's another guy.
You do not want to let him get off from three.
So we need L for painting.
To be honest, P's and Q's to make sure he doesn't get off right.
Those are the two leading scores overpaying.
He's 631 95 point guard.
He's averaged 8.
7 points per game, 4.
2 rebounds, six point to assess the 1.
4 steals issues.
7% on the field in 23.
His job is gonna be to defend Terry Rozier.
Make it a little bit tough on Terry Rozier.
Go at him a little bit. Make Terry Rose.
You have to work.
Don't make it so easy.
But we can't let Terry Rozier or Devante Graham get loose from three.
The last time we played Ah, the Charlotte Hornets Turtles year.
He had 16 points.
I only had two assists.
The only shot 37.5% in the field.
And he was one for seven from the three point line.
Okay, so he may be looking for get backs.
You know he's gonna remember that game.
It doesn't mean that he's gonna come out and kill us, but we don't want it to happen.
But there's an X factor.
Ladies and gentlemen to this game, Gotta be careful.
Oh, I seen somebody saved in the check just a few minutes ago.
The X factor to Malik Monk.
Watch out for him.
He's been hot over the last two games.
The last two games is averaging 25.
5 points per game and he's shooting 60% from the field.
His last game, he had 31 points against the Milwaukee Bucks.
So we started to get hot.
Who knows if he's turned the corner or not? And, of course, there were talks about Malik Monk being traded to the New York Knicks.
The Knicks have an interest in Malik Monk.
You know what I'm saying? This is his chance to showcase.
If that's the truth, this is the chance to showcase himself to the Knicks.
And if he comes out and has ah game and terrorizing the next little bit, that may peak that interest just a little bit more, you know again, Milic Monk.
His average is 25.
5 points per game and 60% from the field over the last two games.
He is the X factor and big Saturday.
My wife, Cathy, who gave me a birthday shout out Thank you for the super Chet.
And ah, yes, it is my birthday today, so thank you all.
I appreciate everybody.
Appreciate that again.
Malik Monk is the X factor.
I'm going into this game, you know.
We don't want him to get off.
We don't want him to get off it all.
We want Malik Monk to be quieted.
Don't let him show off from a a team that might want him.
Guillermo, you said Malik ******s Fool's gold If it takes almost getting traded or about to get traded for you to step up despite having the opportunity to always do so, I think it's hogwash.
You might be right.
You might be right about that, you know, saying, But let's see if he shows off tonight.
He may want to be in New York.
We don't want to let him show off.
No, I'm saying we don't want to let him show up again.
Malik Month, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Over the last two games, he's averaging 25.
5 points per game, 60% from the field.
At 31 His last game was to Milwaukee Bucks.
And so let's not let Malik mark get loose tonight.
Asfour, the keys to the game.
Ladies and gentlemen, let's talk about some of the keys to the game, all right, the keys to the game tonight.
The 1st 1 is let's handle our emotions.
Of course, we're still coming off.
You know, everything that happened with Kobe Bryant and the rest of the families that were in that horrific helicopter accident, Only their people on the team, like Julius Randle.
You know that close to, you know, close to Kobe Bryant.
Julius Randle played with Kobe Bryant.
And I'm sure there's other players on the team that are close to Kobe Bryant.
All right, so their emotions, they, you know, they still might be.
Ah, we still might be in It still might be like the rest of us in a state of shock and, you know, have some feelings about the game.
You know? I mean, um, so we gotta be able to handle our emotions coming into the game, you mess things, handled our emotions, only try to approach the game, Uh, you know, just just supposed to gain with this much energy as you can.
Of course, there's going to be talks about Kobe Bryant.
You know, he was drafted to the Charlotte Hornets and he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
That maybe talks about that coming into the game, stuff like that and players going to X questions before the game and everything.
Um, you know Mike Miller and arrested the coaching staff? They're gonna have their hands full and trying.
Thio, you know, just motivate the guys to step into the game to play well, you know, and play with some energy.
So, you know, they gotta handle their emotions.
Not gonna be easy to do as faras the game itself.
We got to keep Rose Ear and Graham shooting a low percentage from the field perimeter defense.
I think I just seen Guillermo, um, stock about perimeter defense, right? Yes.
We have to guard them from the perimeter.
Um, you have the guard way.
Have to guard those two guys the Monte Grande materials here.
We've got to guard those guys, not let those guys get loosened.
And, of course, course.
Like we said the X factor.
Malik Monk not let Maliki monk get loose, right? He's on a two game tear, if that's what you want to call it.
He's probably looking to eat and that probably looking to eat tonight.
And so we got it.
We got a guard, that perimeter do a good job guarding the perimeter.
Um, we got a guard.
Three ball, right.
He shoots 40% from the feet from from three.
Graham issues 38.7% from three.
I said, We don't want to let these guys get off.
Like I said, the last game we played, the Charlotte Hornets.
He got off on his.
Ladies and gentlemen, All right, He shot you Shot 56.
And it's not like he shot like, 33 point shots.
He made 16 attempts.
He made nine of them.
Hey, was the guy for them? He was cooking small, though.
Was 10 for 19 from the field, 9 to 16 from three.
We gotta make sure, Look, he had not.
He had 10 field goals made.
Nine of them were from the three point line.
We gotta make sure regarded three point line.
Don't let these guys get loose from the three point line because two of those guys could do it.
Dominate the glass.
We should definitely dominate the glass tonight.
These guys are averaging over the last five games, like 39 rebounds a game.
Both teams are not good shooting teams.
Rebounds are going to be plentiful and we've got a gravel.
Let's not allow second chance points.
And let's get second chance points.
Hey, we gotta dominate the glass when you're playing against a team, when you're a team that can't shoot.
When you're playing against a team that can't shoot, you better be able to rebound the basketball.
Let's dominate the glass tonight, Take advantage of size.
You know, we got some size against these guys.
We got a little bit more beef than them a little bit more, just a little bit more beef than them.
So I got to take advantage of that.
And of course, we got size at that guard position.
I said, Let's take advantage of our size And lastly, but clearly not least, we've got to continue to work on our spacing, you know, concede to learn how to space the floor.
Now that that doesn't all happen in one game doesn't all happen in one season.
You know what I mean? But you gotta continue to learn howto space.
All right, space the floor.
That's gonna help you to get easier shots.
Ah, from the field.
You know, maybe we could shoot a better percentage, but let's not forget the next shooting about 47% over the last five games over the last five games, is shaking like 47% from the field over the last five games.
So, you know, maybe the Knicks are there.
Maybe they are working on that spacing again over the last five games and next to 13 to averaging 101.
4 points per game, Uh, giving up 98.
2 points per game, they're shooting 46.3%.
Minnifield, I said.
8% from three of the grabbing, 47 rebounds, 21 assists, 14 turnovers.
All right, so let's keep that shoot percentage up.
You know, that's the gold absolute percentage up.
So, ladies, gentlemen, go ahead and I'm gonna get two guys in the video chat if you want to call in and got a couple of minutes and Poland talk to me about tonight's game.
What do you think? You know, Big shout out to Marie's Hardy, Uh, thank you for becoming a member.
Became a two thousand's Nick member.
Believe thank you very much.
I appreciate that.
And everyone wishing me a happy birthday.
Thank you very much.
Especially to my wife.
I appreciate you guys.
Let's get to the video chat.
See what these guys think about, Um, think about tonight's games.
When we got here, we got Nate, we got Andy and let's let's let's get it mad.
Uh, let me start with Andy.
Andy, how do you feel about tonight's game, man? Yeah, What's up? Same person.
Firstly, you know, Happy birthday, man.
I would sing, but I don't think you could Maybe.
Oh, it might not appreciate it.
Okay, four years old, you know what? I think it's a winnable game on.
You know, I really say it because I don't expect winds from from team like the next, but I'm actually about the Nets game.
I was thinking about W.
And I think we can go on the street.
Probably not gonna be a long street, but I think we can handle the Hornets.
Like Gerald said, I think we need to take care of Graham Rose ear and Biggie Washington.
Those are the main guys on all offensive end.
Uh, we can live with the other guys in scoring because even the bench dies.
I don't think that there are through it that they can score, like, 40 or 50 points on us.
So? So we can live with the other guys on.
And the key is gonna be the rebounding.
They got the boozer.
They got zealot like that.
Really? That can, you know, um, rebound, they're everywhere.
Well, I think our guys can handle Really, You know, I'm really good.
So, yeah, um, and, you know, we should be able to handle them on the boards.
Hopefully, we can handle motherboards.
And then, you know, defending that perimeter is going to be key.
Like you said, the Knicks there in a little bit of a position where maybe he can win a few games in a row.
We play the Charlotte Hornets tonight.
Then we come home and play job Moran in Memphis Grizzlies, and we play the Pacers on February 1st.
As Saturday we played the Cleveland Cavaliers again, we played the Orlando Magic to play the Pistons.
We pay the Hawks who paid the Wizards, and we go back and we play the Pacers and the Rockets.
All right, so it's just just took out a thing.
I think the game didn't make her playing.
Now the basketball is really different from what we've seen at the beginning of the season.
Uh, you mentioned a couple of you know, the previews who you mentioned the last five game stats on? No, the defensive rating and stuff like that.
You can really see it and feel it in the game, so we stick with the best of the things in the n B. A.
Did not blow out.
So we know it's it's really, you know, weekend.
We can take a loss with the Lakers with the Raptor for a couple of points, right? Decisions like it was over three point loss, and then the game's over in the second quarter.
So if we would be playing this kind of basketball, I think we might be near 500.
If it would be from the beginning, e think it would be even better.
Reveal what you know called through the offseason.
Not only know what, he can implement more of this stuff, and but you can even notice it in the last couple of games.
Maybe, like even over five games, you can really notice that the difference and in the mix, you know, come up with the games.
So? So I'm getting more happy.
No watching these gangs, and then then losing or winning, you know, and go out the stores, games making happy.
And when we're gonna learn how to pull him out, it's gonna be fine.
But I hope just at the trade deadline is not gonna mess this up.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
And I'm gonna keep you.
Um, I'm gonna keep your life.
And he got Nate.
Happy. 21st birthday.
21st huh? More like 44th.
But you know, a man who's counting.
Way all stopped.
I'm counting because I'm getting older.
I mean, like, and he said, Man, I think this game is definitely winnable.
You made a great point about how the offense for the Hornets is dead last or near dead last.
So if the Knicks play even decent defense, they should win this going away.
I I mean, I haven't seen the Hornets play a lot this year, but I would imagine that if the Knicks just come out and play focused and play good defense.
It shouldn't be.
Shouldn't be an issue.
All right, um, we'll see what they do.
You know, emotion for both teams.
The most is, you know, gonna be how I still, you know, So that's definitely gonna have an effect on the game.
Um, so, you know, we'll see it both teams how they can come through it in if I do it.
Like I said, you know, Charlotte was the foot that Charlotte drafted Kobe.
All right, You know, in trading him to the Laker to abolish Vladi Diva Jordan's gonna have something special for Kobe, you know, because it's he's very close.
He was very close to Kobe.
He said he looked like Look at him like a little brother.
So, yeah, um, I think I think the one guy that they're gonna be really cognizant like you said it's Devante Graham.
Yeah, he did hit that game winning shot in the garden.
And that was excellent.
One of our better defenders mill.
Aquino went under the screen name, got got space and knocked it down.
And the thing is, that was that shot was totally preventable.
Yeah, that was totally preventable.
um it was a bad play.
Uh, you know, he he didn't go to help.
You got a little bit o r misjudged where that screen was gonna come from, um or not, you know, or what divided Graham was going and then lost them.
They kicked its home and knock down the three.
I mean, it was a nice designed play by by the Charlotte Hornets.
You know, Obviously all J.
Barrett was playing in that game.
The moon's defense wasn't as good as it is now.
At least you know, over the last few games last five games last week, two weeks is not as good as it is Now.
We're gonna have the same players then.
I don't think l for Peyton was playing and we didn't have Reggie Bush.
So, you know, with the team is definitely different.
Barrett was playing that game playing, but the team was definitely different.
Yeah, I think the size I think the size of the Knicks is gonna be a huge advantage over the Hornets because, like you mentioned, their backcourt for the Hornets is like, you know, the Von tees like 61 or some like that.
And Rose years, probably thanks to someone that the roads are like 6 to 61 six.
So both think so.
The advantage is gonna be on the next as faras rebounding and in scoring inside, because that's what we do.
Well, me and everybody knows you don't shoot three.
Well, you know, we could just defend the three.
I think we'll be okay, because I don't think they're big.
There are not good enough to score in the pain and a high rate.
So this is gonna be one of those games that if we dominate inside and we guard the three like I said, we should win going away.
I hope it's not a close game, but you know who knows the Knicks? We'll see.
Who knows? It's the Knicks.
You never know what the Knicks gonna do, man.
Um, you never know what the Knicks are gonna do.
Oh, yeah, I'm looking at it right now, looking at that.
That game winning shots by Vontae Graham against the Knicks on November 16th.
Ah, time A lot of people still had hope, right? Everybody still had hope.
And you see it right here.
Neil Akina ties the heads off, devotes a grand MoneyGram bangs it in, ladies and gentlemen.
Um, and it waas painful, to say the least with Nick's because you were working on this for the year.
Yeah, one of those games that you know that we could have won, but didn't because of all mental mistake.
That is not uncommon for the New York Knicks.
Not uncommon for the New York Knicks to make those type of mental mistakes, but teams finding ways to lose.
Man, remember that what you say Bad teams find ways to lose.
Yeah, that's true.
That's that's definitely true.
Well, you know, hopefully we find a way to get this win.
You know, I do want to ask you guys this.
The Knicks continue to play this type of defense, and, you know, we had a little bit of a winning streak.
Let's say again, play the Charlotte Hornets.
We play the Memphis Grizzlies.
Oh, please, the wholeness Tonight.
Tomorrow night we play the Memphis Grizzlies.
Saturday, we play the Pacers.
Um, Monday we played the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Thursday, we played the Orlando Magic.
Okay, these are games that you know we talk about the cornets, the Grizzlies? Uh, we played the Pacers close the first time we played on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Orlando Man, Pistons, the Hawks, the Wizards.
I mean, those air so winnable.
Very, very winnable games.
We could start the street together.
Someone's obviously, you know, you're playing against bad teams.
But let's just say that the next sticking to drop a couple, let's say they start to win some games, right? And then maybe they beat the Indiana Pacers, one of these two games that they play playing in the next few weeks.
Um, then they go back and play the Hornets again.
Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, you know.
Then you know the schedule starts to get a little bit tougher as we move into martyrs, right? But let's just say that next continue to play good defense and you start to see the office.
Do you feel the same way about this roster and do you take a chance at them trying to be better in And, you know, for the 24,021 season, of course, you're gonna make some tweaks here and there, and some people are going to be gone.
Um, what do you do if you start seeing the defense come around and that becomes their identity, you change it.
Well, that would be off to me.
Way still got a week to go over a week ago with trade.
And, uh, even if we would be playing this kind of basketball, which you signed a waiver that at the beginning, I think we can go maximal off our list of the games like 500 that I think it's even below that.
But let's say it's gonna be 500 right? So we still probably not gonna make the playoffs.
We might be closer, but, you know, I I don't think we're gonna get in the playoffs.
But, you know, I'm against the Banking Corp force.
So, uh, if I was very if I would tear your mills, I tried to clip a guy or two at the headlight.
Uh, it doesn't have to open minutes for the young guys, but you know the most things.
I'm also maybe not mad, but I'm supported in America.
That about the patients, he's he's putting like all the bets and all the you know, young guys together in five, right? And that's a huge mistake for me, because if you would, you know, or keep a starter with the young guys that come from the bench and he's using like reporters on the bed for for the bench guys, right? So that that that really, you know, if they're clicking, it's fine.
But most time it's not inside working out everywhere for so she has to, you know, go back with them with the press, you on it.
So if you would stagger those minutes between the young guys and the whole guys, like lead to Benson and play two young guys, that would be more beneficial, I think for the old guys.
And as you said, I don't think we're gonna win a championship that year.
So, uh, it's not a waste, you know, win because I think you gotta build that winning culture.
But, you know, it's and for sure that I'm gonna be thanking or, you know, uh, trying hold me to develop guys.
I think Miller will really want to get a couple of more W's on his belt.
Maybe, you know, to get a chance of that head coaching job for the next season, but so So? So What do you do, though? If the Knicks if the Knicks, if they stay playing this type of defense for the remainder of the season, the 13 and 34 right now that's 47 games, There's still a lot of games left.
There's still 34 games left to the season, right? If they continue to play this type of defense playing tough defense, that's the kind of identity that you want to establish, right? Yeah.
Are you afraid then to get rid of everybody and start over? No, I don't know why you guys were making that more.
It is a certain clip, you know, for a pick or something like that.
I don't understand your casino positivity that you would come back in the off season.
That for me, that's not possible.
And I don't care if you can set up a plan with him.
If he's gonna go, you know, the garroting is that better organization.
You know, winning culture is not gonna come back there.
Maybe he was, you know, throw money like five million per here more than the rest of the team.
Maybe, but I'm not thinking that, you know, you can find out that he's gonna be flipped now for a pick, and then he's gonna come back next.
Oh, that's not gonna happen.
That's not that is not because I heard someone said, You know that version that, you know, we can flip him and he's gonna come back and off.
That's what happened.
That's not gonna happen.
So but could be true.
I would rather flip a guy like Portis and Ellington.
And then it's Mitt, for example.
Those three are the most movable guy for me, like the most notable because I couldn't live without because they say that way.
But, you know, I keep Bullock like bullet, and, uh, he's a team guy.
Sometimes he takes, you know, those those shots, but they're still good shots.
They're very Charles Randall days, let me know.
Rather limo, I'm always makes them because I hate his shots of the most off the charts.
Today I just defer to me when a seat of shots because, you know, I I really see that they could get a better shot off, you know, word shooter, stuff like that.
But, you know, an open shot from the word shooter.
This from me is better than you know, chopped up one or, you know, fade away or I know a spin move in the traffic in pain like he does, you know, it's it's but, you know, he can also score.
And we saw the last couple of games that he can defend it. He waas.
No, she got blocks now.
He always one of the staff.
I think he has, like, blocks on the season in like the last seven games.
He has the blind rocks.
But would you know if he really wants defend? He has that ability, just, you know, I don't know what mother have to do, but he's got to get to know the defense out of him.
You know, it's a lot of times it's part of, you know, just the entire team playing defense better.
And when everyone is playing defense better, it makes everyone say, I got to step up, too, right? I don't want to be the left.
I don't want to be the one who's left out, you know.
That's why that's why, More important, I think he's a guy, you know, sometimes off course, he's gonna take that long to shots too much, right? You know what? He's gonna don't don't get those he checks and stuff like that.
But in most of his shots, even if he's defended, he's squared off till the basket.
He sees the basket enough.
You know, he I feel this shot is better than Randall shot.
You know that I feel more confident with him taking those a late game shots than than the Miranda.
He takes control, and I think it is really important for the development of the young guys he wants.
Yeah, more statesman, Troy show, even Randall.
But if you gotta stay, I would keep both of the guys and go out with porters Ellington and Dennis Smith.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
More sticks, more controlled shots than Randall like.
It's just look on the control where you know Randall.
No, his shots don't they hardly have a look on the control, gets to the basket, double pumps and move the ball around.
It jumps in the air when he passes out off the double team, and that's a big no no for anybody going into the basket jumping and passed.
There's a lot of those things that are just you don't really want, you know, which, which makes him not a number one guy or two.
Probably a three or something like that.
Um, it's gonna be interesting to see because Emmanuel seeing the chat, I said, you know, he doesn't expect them.
Expects, for the most part, this team to come back next year.
Besides, a few changes, you know, a few minor changes here and there, like maybe a Bobby Portis and Wayne Ellington not coming back.
And, you know, some other players in those place and I could see that as well.
I could see that happening.
Because, look, when we talk about the trade deadline, let's be honest.
The Knicks say that they're not going to take on cash, right? They're not gonna take on salary past 2021 right? They they probably don't want to take on salary at all.
They're not gonna move first round draft picks.
They're not gonna move any valuable young pieces.
So with that being said, what's that mean? That means there's nothing happening because that's everything that you've got to move.
That's everything you got to bargain with, right? That everything that you have the bargain with.
That's that they're So if they're not moving those things, then there's nothing going to be happening.
Trade deadline for the most part, you know.
So maybe there are some little things that happened there, here and there.
Then we'll see after to trade their line.
Who's waved and stuff like that.
Um, now they may and people go crazy, but they may wait until the draft.
No, to move some of these players because I believe I haven't had the time to really check the c B A to make sure I'm correct.
But I believe because players like Bobby Portis, who has a team option for next season, um, and other players that have an option for next season they could still be traded at the during the draft.
So after the February after the trade deadline next week, if you don't see these guys get waved, it could just be that no, wait into the draft to see if they could package something together.
And it would only be smart waiting to the draft, because you have until June 28th the way these guys, you know and then they wouldn't be on the team for next season.
So it would be smart to wait and to wait until the draft, see if something presents itself and they be filler, you know, filler and stuff like that s o.
You know, don't be surprised that those guys aren't moved right away at the trade deadline or wave after the trade deadline.
Uh, neat guy, man.
Outside of the fan base, I mean, the Knicks don't have to do anything.
I mean, we already know that the instability of the front off, but, I mean, you said it many times.
I said it, they don't need to make any moves.
I think the move that they made that people wanted was the Kenny Wooten to the two way deal that he's locked up at least on our side.
So don't worry about the teams trying to get him.
Um, I personally don't think that outside of more or any of these players old Andy back, are you right now, I'm just being completely honest with you.
I think all of these teams that are so called interested in some of these players I think it's all smoke.
Uh, from the agent or whatever to beat him up or whatever it is, I just don't see it. I don't I don't see team.
Just give it up a second round pick just for these, huh? There's a Yeah, I'm here.
Sorry. No, sorry.
I just don't see him giving up a second round pick because we all know the value of a second round pick nowadays.
The only one that could possibly dangle a first round pick would be Morris.
Because Morris is playing very well this year.
And he's a good player, a good defender, stuff like that.
So he could definitely help out.
Our looks like Nate is breaking up on this.
Um, we'll see what happens.
You know, we'll see what happens.
We got about a week until the trade deadline is is done or 10 days or something like that until we get to.
Well, 123456789 10 days till we get to that trade deadline.
Ladies, gentlemen, so we'll see what happens.
Um, you know, a lot of talks right now.
Maybe I hold giving the tragic situation with Kobe Bryant.
Eso A lot of things may be on hold, but we'll see.
We'll see what happens from there, man.
But, ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna get on out of here That you guys get back to work.
Ah, that's our game.
Preview for tonight's game was to Charlotte Hornets and yeah. Ah, Andy.
Any last words you want to get in there? Uh, no hoping for a win and one more time.
Happy birthday, man.
Appreciate it, man. Thank you.
And they, uh good.
Yeah, man, let's go get a win.
Let's go get a win, man.
Like you said, you read the schedule out.
There's there's a lot of winnable games.
I mean, I would argue the Knicks continue to play defense at this high rate.
Hell, they could win all those games.
I really do believe so, you know. Let's let's do it.
We'll see what happens.
I appreciate your man. Have a good one.
Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate you all thank you for being here.
Thank you for the birthday wishes and enjoy the rest of your day at work, folks.
All right? And I catch you tonight after the game, Ace.
