back. My TV's too loud. It's district.
All right, back here.
Got ESPN going on.
And I'm just this in the noon News about the college football right now talking about Justin Herbert where we think he may be going.
But I guess they focus What I got going on here anyways, I got a different set up going on here.
I got my phone basically rigged up here to hold on the stand.
My computer is in the shop.
I got my camera being fixed.
I guess you'd say virus, but malfunction there.
So bear with me.
I don't really have my notes like you usually do when I talked to MBA.
Stats and what Everything is going on here.
But what? I really want to talk about a little bit today.
If you've watched any ESPN anytime whatsoever this morning, you've seen a highlight.
That's on Williams is playing tonight.
And so everyone is ecstatic about that.
It's ah, ESPN classic ALS even showing a Duke North Carolina game back when John was knowledge, which was just last year.
So it's kind of been a phenomenon, I guess, if you will just it.
Ah, new thing that's going on, which is crazy.
How much that we have invested the NBA's invested on Zeile Island here, which would be quite funny if he had a bad game.
But some of us guys with unwrap sports, we've been talking in her little message group.
We got what we kind of predict what's going on with you know, how many minutes he's gonna play at many points.
What's the stat line? Maybe s Oh, it's It's basically the water water cooler.
Talk right now is on what he's going to be doing tonight, so we'll just kind of start.
They're excited that he's playing.
If you've listened any of my broadcast before, done anything before, you know that I don't think that they should be playing him much this year.
Uh, I'm trying to set this up just a tad bit different shows.
I've got five people love, but right where I've got this set up, it's covering up a gas.
Whoever's in here Thank you for joining my broadcast.
I'll say that it didn't show any names popped up, so you guys must be guest.
I appreciate you all tuning into this.
Just talk a little NBA little college as well.
But please, for one thing, get on SportsCastr and actually created cannot.
Where you have your name, you don't have to do a lot, but unleashing leave comments with us.
You can talk to us and helps as far.
Let's kind of get some content going on here.
Uh, tm just joining them.
I appreciate I go and give you follows whenever you do a broadcast I could watch in tune with you.
See what you got going on there.
If you don't care to give me a follow to appreciate it, so sounds plan to not some people think Big games.
Some people don't think he's gonna do nearly as much with it being his first game back.
I am going against the main.
I mean, obviously I could say I'm predicting, but where We have no idea what the pelicans are planning to do here, but I think they'll probably play him in the anywhere between 20 to 25 minutes.
Depends on how the game goes against the Spurs.
So I actually think it would be a good match up as faras pelicans.
I think they're six in the NBA as faras paste in a game play.
So against the Spurs, who also like to push the ball.
But as far as their big men with Aldridge, I think Zahn could run him to death.
If he's in shape, way, have no idea what to expect from him, other than he's a big 2 90 guy who could jump out of a gentleman and has the agility as a point guard.
So I think 20 to 25 minutes I also think scores.
The points will be easy for him.
My wife just sent me a message.
Uh, sorry I lost my train of thought there.
I think you will get anywhere between I want to say it lowered at 14 points to that, uh, has started appreciated again.
Tm for follow me there.
Um, I'm going to say 14 points.
I could see him easily getting 20 points to.
Not just because it's his first game back.
He's ready to play.
He's been dying to play all year. It's been built up.
He's ready to go, so I think he could get 20 points.
But I'm only going to say 14 to be on the better side.
Hope that I get right, I think rebounds.
I think he's going to get a double double tonight.
I think it's easy for his team with the Drew.
Holiday thinks coming back to not Ingram.
I'm not a little ball as a shooter out there, uh, have this chances get rebound.
So I do think he easily gets a double double.
I'm actually gonna go ahead and say I think he has a double double by the end of the third quarter.
I also think with Jake, get ready there.
Is this a good team? Actually, this is kind of interesting team.
I think they're three games out of the eighth place, other three games out of being in the playoff run.
Ah, lot of people think that they could make it with John.
Could be the missing piece.
They don't need a little more help on the bench, but the Pelicans actually have a bright future.
Red**** this year signed just a one year contract, so who knows what it'll happen again this year.
But if I was the pelicans, what I wouldn't want to do in their situations, I would play him as much as he wanted to.
This games are Williams and anywhere from 25 or 20 to 25 minutes.
I think from here on, they're going to arrest him a little bit more.
That's what everyone's calling the pitch count, kind of playing probably anywhere from 15 to 22 minutes.
I think a game on, back to back.
I say he doesn't even break 20 minutes in games, but I feel like this team is a good core group withdrew in Rome's island and, uh, Red**** even out there.
So I mean, that's a good four.
Just that right there if they don't trade, drew all of that by the end of the year.
But personally, I would try to keep him, and I put all my projections or all my eggs in one basket for next year.
I plays are on as much as I can tonight.
Let him just get this one game out of this underneath his belt there and then kind of load management him for the rest of the year and try to go for a high pick next year anywhere in the top 15 and add that to your starting four already you're starting court for That's gonna be a pretty good team.
And you've got Zahn not a rookie, but technically could probably still be like the Van Simmons and qualify for the Rookie of the year next year.
But you're in a pretty good boat.
You've definitely got some draft picks even with your trade that you've done with the Los Angeles Lakers, too.
Give up Anthony Davis.
So I really like where pelicans are as far as the future.
I think next year they are definitely going to be in the playoffs.
Even in the top.
I'll say fifth spots where I'm gonna predict him for next year s.
So I'm excited about this game.
But again, I think the pelicans could easily fall into the hype of what this guy's gonna bring and over play him and lose him for years to come.
They need to think of a future impact player of this guy is 2 to 5 years out, compared to this year and going all in so wanted Thio covered that again.
Everyone's going to say 18 appreciates the popcorn there, big guy, but going on here, another news asking pop up today Dwight Howard's going to participate in the dunk contest.
I think you got robbed.
A few don't contest back, and I think 2000 twelve's popping in my head.
I'm not really sure against Nate Robinson, do brought out a 12 foot goal and still did a dunk with a lob off of it.
You don't see that with anyone else.
So I just thought that was interesting and I wanted to mention that Dwight Howard, who basically was about to be going out and retiring with this league, is now going to be in the dunk contest.
I sent a tweet If guys don't follow me on Twitter at u MD Lawson 00 appreciate you off.
All talked about how the electoral votes are actually while they work, because who we have in the All Star Game do I have? What I think is in the top 10 have front courts and vote getters.
I think he has, like, over 600,000.
I'm sorry, but Dwight Howard should not be in in the All Star game, maybe a reserve, But I'm just trying to be leaning in there.
He doesn't deserve to be in the all Star game, but so happy to see him read re evolve his career.
He made a great choice going to L A Lakers.
With team playing with LeBron, you're instantly gonna be better than what you were just with the people that's gonna be around him, even with ideas.
Well, uh, everyone.
I didn't see this.
I don't want to see this.
But that scene where Howell is probably gonna have season injuries to his Achilles.
One of our guys in our unwrap sports Perry, he put a post out or put a tweet out saying that prayers for because they looked awful, but he didn't wanna share the video.
Maybe I want Oh, look, just a tad bit.
Definitely enjoyed watching.
Well, won't say enjoy it.
But it's almost like the corn accident where you drive by and you got a gawk at it this year, March and Champ, I think it says appreciate you joining broadcast man.
I'll give you follow here.
Check yours out whenever you come on the life.
If you don't care, give me one back. Appreciate it.
But, uh, I guess I probably should have went with this a little bit different as far as talking about Palace Achilles injury.
We see where I think even the football with 40 Niners right now with Richard Germans, where he had his Achilles and everyone thought that he was basically done and thought he was a fool for not taking the money, what he did and then bet on itself.
Now what? He's got a screw going back.
So Achilles is definitely a serious injury.
A lot of players don't come back from that at least two where they can be or wasn't once before.
So hope out and he's really good.
Ah, big piece to the sorry watching John Williams and talking about here.
They're expecting their debut.
Already. Talked about that, ESPN. You're late.
But how's a big part for the Mavericks offense and defense? A cz the RIM protector.
So I don't know what will happen there, but, uh, the reason why I said I probably shouldn't wait on this.
What I want to talk about and even Plumlee he's out for 2 to 4 weeks with the injury with the Nuggets clip.
Um, I wanted to talk about we're basically at the midpoint, write with a pen here, matches my my sweatshirt.
Didn't think about that.
But a midpoint of the year of the MBA and my wife is a teacher.
Actually ran a Christian school for a little while as the administrator than end up with kids and had to get a Maura high paying job where I could buy diapers for all three of three babies.
Three Children that were in diapers.
Right now scrap will pull up small off, correcting the other day and pull ups.
So can I want to go with this.
So I'm gonna give out my midterm grades and this video. I'm going.
Actually, just say it's on the West Coast teams.
I'm not gonna do him all.
I wrote them all down, but then I kind of thought, with some of these teams, everyone's going to know if they just not in it in any form or fashion, right? That's what's point.
Even covering up, we're getting great.
But how kind of jump around with it.
I've got it in order as far as the ranked right now, where they're scheduled, you know, Lakers number one Clippers to Nuggets are in third place, Utah's fourth and so on.
But I wanna I guess I'll just kind of go that way.
Los Angeles Lakers.
My Midterm grade, if you will, I give them an A at the moment.
Excuse me, Excuse me.
They're all season's upgrades of the May with Anthony Davis and some of the other players that they obtain.
What Danny Green as well, trying to think course and then their dismissal or who they traded off.
They're definitely got a great team right now.
They're the team to be their number one in the Western Conference, but I'm not giving him a plus because there's room to grow.
I feel like their weaknesses at point guard right now.
I think that's a point guard.
That's where LeBron James and running.
I really wish that they had actually changed it up and go ahead and start Rondo in a point.
I think Rhonda Plane, creating what he can on fast paced picking Rose with both LeBron and Anthony Davis will be phenomenal.
Danny Greene's got a star kitchen fire with the shots.
He just It's not a three point threat right now, and that's what his whole thing is defense.
It's a two way player defense and three point ball.
Hey, just not really hitting his shots right now.
He's more of a playoff player.
We all know that even when he was with the San Antonio Spurs and even think Toronto as well.
So if they could, either.
I think I'm sorry Derek Jeter is on here either update, point guard or possibly get a pure shooter like a J.
But, of course, I don't think pelicans would even consider trading him now, since Aunt is possibly going to be, well, he is making his comeback for debut, so I think those were two ways that they can easily upgrade their team.
They've traded a lot to get Anthony Davis.
I don't know how much that they really have.
As Faras bait Cosmo definitely be possibly their trade.
Danny Green if they're going with a point guard or shooting guard person and actually did see someone post on Twitter.
I can't remember who it was, but it was saying that the reports were that the Lakers worrying talks with the Chicago Bulls right now to possibly try to get Adam Levine, which would be a nice upgrade for them. And Levin.
He actually is almost feels in both of those small for us, Mom.
Shooting guard and point guard, all in one player.
So definitely more of a penetrator than anything.
But it definitely will be a nice pickup.
They're not strayed.
Who's most? Definitely not just for this peons, not even working anywhere.
Uh, is not applying out.
I believe if the Lakers could go back, they would have tried Koosman and kept in growing because in grams definitely should deserve to be a starting All star this year.
With season he's having, uh then I'm gonna go on to Denver.
Milan, Skip clippers right here.
I'll come back to Denver, I'm going to give a B minus two for just effect.
Hey, someone methanol joined them and appreciate you following me or following my livestream here. I'm gonna give you follow.
Whenever you give a video at yourself, I'll get the notification.
I'll try to give you a view out and you just call me.
Excuse in contact. Going on.
Police. Give me a follow back.
Do appreciate it.
The reason Ah, little can't hardly see it there.
But I appreciate you joining in.
I'm gonna give you follow.
Please follow me back Denver.
Reason why give them a B minus is they didn't really do anything this offseason, but yet they're still in a place.
They're in third right now.
Joker had a rough year coming in the beginning, but he signed.
It got fired, probably for the past month and 1/2 now.
But the reason why I think that they are good and this B minus is because Michael Porter Jr we didn't really know what to expect of him, even from college.
He didn't play too many games with his back injury back surgery, and it's almost like they've made their their trade to get a player to increase.
And Michael Porter Jr I think it's definitely gonna set them above higher than what they we did have them because I accept this offseason I'd say most people probably said they were a C C plus big minus on what they were, how they graded their team because they didn't do anything.
Thio do anything fancy, didn't do any free agency signs down for 2 to 4 weeks.
I don't think it'll hurt him too much, so like I said, I almost feel like Michael Porter Jr is their trade that they made mid season because we didn't have him before at all.
So, well, go on to the Los Angeles Clippers, who I gave a A minus two.
Just because I feel as I'm sitting here, I guess I need to be looking at camera, I feel, uh, their chemistry will always be growing, that you haven't had time to build that yet.
But they're doing much better than any of the LeBron James teams did in Miami, even in Cleveland, even in L.
They took him at least 1 to 2 years before they even started clicking on anything.
Because LeBron's gotta do his complaining, get his players kicked out and get his coaches fired and get whoever he wants.
But it's a change that I won't get on.
But I feel like Clippers Air really close to being a better team than the Lakers.
Just my only thing is what I like about it. Let me get with this.
What I like about this team is their defense minded.
Any day, any game in and out, your offense cannot be there.
We all know that if you ever played sports, you can be the cold Turkey and not even make a shot.
So I like the way that they're set up with their defense.
With course. Quiet.
Defense minded Paul George is not very decent minded, but you'll have to buy into it because everyone else and then you got Lou, who loves to run his mouth and play some defense.
So I'm excited to see how they keep on progressing together.
A lot of people have been talking about Montreal.
Harold may be traded on.
Don't really think that they should trading because Lou and Harold have a good bond together with 12 game on the second string, if you will.
When he got either Paul, Georgia, the claw out Leonard resting.
So I don't know if I would tinker with that too much.
And so that's why my reason I gave him a minus an on air higher is because their guards are a little small.
They play huge as far as defensively, but I just feel size wise and strength wise.
They are the disadvantage on that team, so that's why this one's a minus on the going on down the Houston, who is in six places.
I think right now is for the record, I gave them a C.
Everyone, uh, I'm probably the only I don't know if say only, but I have never been a James Harden fan If you watched.
Any of my videos are bad mouthing, at least for five seconds.
VD man and I even go back to even Carmelo Anthony on this, too.
If a player is scoring 50 60 points and you're still losing even Kobe Bryant, I just have a problem with that.
There's something else.
You can't blame it on your players that they're not scoring like you have no help.
They're not getting the ball.
I mean, if you're shooting 40 shots a game, got lead, not saying that he shot 40 side.
So check status.
Check me on that.
But I've just never liked James Harden.
I feel like there's no chemistry on any of those teams.
Hey, had Chris Paul and his team, who I felt like I should have the ball a lot more and create more for his players.
I felt like even in the playoffs against Golden State that if Chris Paul would've got hurt in that Siri's that Houston would one.
But it's because Chris Paul not James Harden at all.
But I just feel James Harden and Westbrook's chemistry.
They may be best buddies.
They be bromance ing it up.
But it's basically that, too, and then the rest of the team.
So I just I feel like that team it's set up just a flat out fail.
I don't see it going in to ask.
It's the Westbrook being traded just to try to get something going on, because Hardened has to hard has had the ball about 80 to 90% of the time.
Westbrook has to have the ball about 80 or 90% of the time.
It can't happen together.
It's It's almost like the Clipper, the Lakers of the nineties.
Maybe the later to thousands when they had Karl Malone, Gary Payton that everyone was going toe ring hunt and it was just too many.
All started wanting, so I give them to see because there's no there's no vision on this thing.
I feel sorry for Mike D'Antoni as far as how the coaches Hey is a bottle dominant point guard coach.
He made Steve Nash who he was, and he's done staying with heart in two, so I just give them a C.
And as far as how they grow, there's got you've got a trade.
Either Westbrook, Harden and I would why I say and hard, because I don't like him.
I'd rather build around Westbrook and I would harden.
But there's no flow on their offense.
If Harden gets the ball, he's dribbling at least 5 to 10 times before he does a little step back.
And it just the rest of the offensive stand around the three point line trying to figure out what's gonna happen, that I don't even know if they truly have an offense to play skiing.
Drawn out where it's a formation or something like a four lower, even the flex offenses.
Everyone knows it's old school on that.
So I got used to Nancy.
Now, speaking of Crisp autumn, go ahead and go with the Oklahoma.
I actually got the home as foreign as a developmental team that's going on.
I put them as a admit midterm grades because they are, they are actually in seventh place, and I think before this year you viewers and myself thought that they may be, uh, like eight wins this mid term, if you will like, not even a triple digit wins.
So I'm happy with what they've done.
I pardoned them, are applied them, not upon them.
And even with the picks that they have, the way that Alexander has been playing Chris Paul has been lots out in the fourth quarter.
In the clutch time, this team has actually been fun to watch these young guys, I think, like most of the age average, probably had 24 25 years old.
And then Steven Adams is just the cave man on the thing that just dominates down low.
Let's see if I can pull up the record real quick on my tablet demo.
Do do, Do do Yeah, they're 25 19 right now.
I would have said that they'd probably like Golden State Warriors is bad this season.
They're having their at 10 wins right now.
I would have thought that they had been 89 maybe 10 wins there.
So I mean, they're playing great ball.
Oklahoma is there six and four of the last 10 games.
I mean, they are proving to be a good ball team there right now. They're in the playoffs.
And would we? Anybody predicted that beginning You're absolutely not so mean.
And they could still there at the midpoint, almost like we're at our Max, what we could do with the team.
I mean, we will grow a little bit as we get older and develop their players.
But with Chris Paul, do we trade in? Do we keep him try, develop Alexander a little bit more, So they're at a crossroads, If you will do we want to pursue this or pursue that, and I'd like to see which way they go with their vision.
But their future is why they're getting the great right now there in the playoffs.
Plus, they have a great future with so many first round draft picks in the next, like three or four years.
Uh, now I want to go on to Portland Trail Blazers.
I'm sorry, Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Trailblazer fans, Your season is pretty much over.
Uh, you're actually probably gonna have to start rebuilding very, very soon.
I don't know why or how this has happened, but you went from being a contender to almost be a very close to the finals to Basically, I want to say they're like 10th 11th place in the conference right now.
Now, do I think they could turn it around? My wife is Tell me what I need to fix for my kids, not she has a doctor's appointment, chicken nuggets and fries. I could do that.
But, uh, you know, you picked up Carmelo Anthony, who is also in the All Star Game by votes right now, which is crazy.
He's having a great year.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm not going bad.
Mouth him too much, but and I'm happy for him.
Like I said earlier, when I was talking about hardened, I never like Carmelo Anthony.
When you played for the Nuggets and played for the Knicks, he was only about himself.
But the man was walking out the door basically or out of the door, wanting to play, never good play and then finally got a call to make place.
So I'm have performed a great story on that, but Portland Trail Blazers have just now traded to get Arreaza.
I don't understand that trade for this team resources almost flatlining, if you will down in the Knicks or not to mix with the Kings, and I just don't know this move. Arreaza.
It was probably a trade peace for another team that needed a three point shooter that could come out of retirement if you as far as productive ity on offense.
But I just don't understand Portland.
I feel like they are basically trying anything and everything possible.
Let's say you love me.
They're 55 of their last 10 but their records pretty bad right now.
Uh, it's got this pulling up here looking at the information news.
See, here's like I almost feel looking at the roster here.
I feel like this is almost just a atmosphere, uh, incident like I mean, you got Lillard and you've got McCollum, who is a good one to backcourt on anyting.
And McCollum has been hurt a little bit in Damon's dame, so he's still being his productive self.
But then, you know, you look, Carmelo Anthony's doing great this year, Trevor Reason.
I just I don't know what your vision is for updating your team or upgrading your team by having a reason you've got three guys that are penetrating that's gonna be ball dominant, create what they create their own shot, and the reason is a good set up three point shooter.
But he also has a penetrator as well.
So I just feel like this is a Band Aid on a dislocation or a Band Aid on a broken bone.
I feel like it's almost time to either pull the plug or you're gonna have to have that meeting where you say, OK, guys, Coach, either we're going to have to fire you mid season and see what we can do with this team.
We'll make a run now because we Oh ah, dame so much money and call into that.
We've got to get our heads together.
We got to get going out, getting and get this.
Now, uh, almost would like to see Mark Jackson get thatjob.
See what he could do with that Tink.
Jackson did a pretty good job with the Golden State.
I kind of hate that he got fired there and then Steve Kerr takes over and went in first year.
But now my last team, bringing it all back to where we started.
New Orleans pelicans.
I have them as a B plus right now.
If I give them full backup shouldn't close it out Right now.
The pelicans are playing some ball in growing like it said is having his best year that he's ever had.
He's definitely on the All Star ballot right now.
I think he was sixth on the list.
And the way that ball is even having his best career s.
See here. Pelicans, pelicans.
Pelicans were in 12th place. I'm talking about that area.
There are three games out of out of lights place, though.
So right now, uh, showing highlights against Arlen's been on ESPN on late More than you needed the broadcasters.
I am super excited about watching the pelicans to see where they go.
I've got here to give me a little note.
I've got almost, like accomplices, arrows going every which way because we don't know where they're going to go with this, Like I was talking about earlier was on.
I would rest even trying to slow him into the game for the season and then prepare for next year.
That was my route.
They could easily Cesar on.
Okay, we have no minute restriction.
Gentry loves push his ball and go at it.
Let's just go full throttle.
See what we can do this year with this team and go compete now.
Or they could go ahead and bust up.
Some players like J.
Red**** would be a great trade for even like I was talking about earlier, like a Laker steam or even ah ah, he team.
I like Scene, go Miami Heat or even a Philadelphia.
I know that's where he was last year, but they're like in three point shooters right now, or a threat of a three point shooter so they could trade their Drew.
Holiday has been a topic for a lot of teams trying Thio steal him away on trades as well.
So it's fun to watch or is it will be fun to watch to see what they plan on doing with this team here, Um, see, here somebody's like in my life
