Samuel Reese Coming to you live right here on SportsCastr.
It's time for some more.
Australian Open action from Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia.
It's day three off the tournament and second round action well underway now to Americans playing each other and Lee against Sophia Kenan in the early match to kick off the day session down under on what is now Wednesday afternoon down in Melbourne and the American foes going at it.
But no problem for the 14th ranked Kenan as she took care of business against lead by a final score of 6163 She's moved on to the third round, also in second round action.
Naomi Osaka Take it Zang of China.
And you think it would be no problem for Osaka and it didn't turn out to be too tough of a task for her as she kicked off action a little earlier in the day as well and Osaka very comfortable on the backhand and she wanted on a double fault.
6264 The number three C also advancing into round three swing sh y also taking on Katie McNally in second round.
Katie McNally another of many Americans still alive, especially on the woman's side of the bracket.
And this was a good match up McNally trying a move on to the third round after a Nim Presage ve first round win.
But they will do so as on what in two sets, 6 to 6 for Paula.
But Dosa, also taking on Petra Kvitova, covet a va, definitely the favorite in this one.
Thanks Jackie, for joining the broadcast.
I greatly appreciate it.
And so, yes, Patrick Ivanova was the favorite in this one and, you know, efficient on the forehand.
And it was pretty comfortable for her, although both sets were pretty competitive committed although beating Barbosa 7575 Another All American matchup, Tansen taking on Pegula.
And it's the second all American match up on the woman's bracket already today.
And Townsend, who you may remember from the U.
She made a pretty good run in that tournament, and she would get the win in this 16476 over her American counterpart.
So town said, punching her ticket into the third round and Coco Goths warming up, getting ready for her match later on tonight Cough six and two now in majors and the 15 year old sensation.
She's a sensation for a reason after meeting Venus in the first round, Novak Djokovic, the 16 time major champion, also on the practice courts, getting ready for his match up as he will play later on tonight, Serena Williams, the 23 time major champion, will be in action in the night sessions so well.
Roger Federer to cap off what should be another great day at the Australian Open.
Still a ton of tennis to look forward to on this Tuesday night here on the East Coast and we'll go into Wednesday morning.
I'll be here for about an hour or so to commentate a live action at the Australian Open.
And thanks so much for being a part of the broadcast.
Everybody, it looks like another beautiful afternoon in Melbourne, Australia.
They are 16 hours ahead of the Eastern time zone, so it is 1:10 p.
On Wednesday there.
So the action already underway on Day three of the tournament in the 1st 2 days who are plenty of entertaining Novak Choco vich with a pretty with a pretty dominant performance over stress.
I mean, it wasn't, you know, complete domination.
But for the most part, it was a comfortable when he looked carry that momentum in the second round.
Naomi Osaka, already punching her ticket into the third round, the defending champion.
Then we all know Coco Goths.
Who knows how far she can go in this tournament after a magical run at the at Wimbledon and then not too shabby in the U.
So many star names Caroline Wozniacki playing in her final major tournament as she continues to deal with injuries.
And you know she's had a phenomenal career.
As we all know, Roger Federer, one of the greats, my favorite tennis player will be underway at approximately 5 a.m.
Serena Williams? Well, she's searching for what would be a record breaking major title.
She hasn't won one in a while, believe it or not.
But is this the year many definitely thinks so? It's the 2020 Australian Open, the weather in Melbourne, Australia, 84 degrees Fahrenheit, warm and windy, the humidity 35%.
The wind north at 25 miles an hour. The forecast.
Our gusty winds so the Australian Open Air Quality Rating.
So the current air quality reading is 13 to 97 means playable conditions 97 to 200.
The conditions would go under review 200 or more, and that would require the suspension of place.
So with the wildfires in Australia, the unfortunate bushfires throughout the country occurring, that is no concern that that will affect them today.
Thanks for the phone finger.
I appreciate that A lot, Jack.
You. Thank you very much.
I'm glad you are enjoying.
We'll get you the live coverage very shortly.
Do not worry much lot, much more live tennis coming your way.
But yes. Oh, the bushfires.
Not an issue for today.
That's that's a good sign.
The air quality just at 13.
But you know, if if that level got higher, then then we'd be talking about a possible suspension of play.
But we're nowhere near discussing that.
Their quality was only at two yesterday and so difficult conditions.
Definitely the story on Day three at the Australian Open.
With those gusty winds and hot temperatures expected today, it would only make it tough on the player that said 84 degrees.
I think we'll get even higher, reaching near 90 and those winds 25 miles an hour.
That's a huge factor, especially in the game of tennis.
So there's no doubt in my mind that that will play a factor.
We'll see how the players are able to deal with that.
I mean yesterday or the perfect conditions.
I mean around set mid seventies, no winds, basically at all.
Um and that's just like, you know, that's just the dream scenario, but, you know, it can't be like that every day.
As beautiful as Australia is the the winds and the temperatures, no doubt a factor, especially in this in this day session in the afternoon, where the sun is beating down.
Hopefully the winds will calm down as the day progresses.
The night session temperatures tend to dip down as well.
But yeah, the hot spots detected.
There's been quite a few of them throughout Austria, Lee, especially in the Melbourne area in the last 12 hours.
This is a really concerning sign.
I'm not exaggerating this Thank you, Tom, for joining the broadcast.
It's 84 degrees, but it feels much warmer than that.
This heat is beaming down in Melbourne.
And, yeah, there are a lot of hot spots spotted throughout the country, in particular the south, the south east of Australia, where Melbourne is located right on the ocean.
So you know, there's no doubt that will be a factor with the gusty winds involved as well.
And, you know, in temperatures that are that warm, the winds could actually make it worse because, you know, believe it or not, when it gets to that warm, the winds carry that war mayor, and it feels like a heat wave going over you at times.
So it's winter here in Massachusetts, where it was like eight degrees this morning in Australia on the, uh, south of the equator, I should say, on the other side of the world it is currently in, then is currently the middle of summer for them when the temperatures are at their warmest and and that's that's no doubt gonna be a factor as the matches progress.
We've already had plenty of matches played.
Ah, lot of women's matches completed plenty of men's matches in action right now, live action coming your way in just a minute or two.
Make sure you keep it right here on SportsCastr Live commentary of the 2020 edition of the Australian Open.
What a complex they have at Melbourne Park.
The 1st 2 days, No doubt entertaining.
Hopefully, Day three has some great tennis in store for us.
What's going on? Vaughn? Glad to have you here on this Tuesday night.
Hope you're doing good, man.
And glad to have you here.
Definitely glad to have you here live tennis.
Coming up in a moment.
I was just saying the winds are about 25 miles an hour in the temperature 84 degrees, but it feels a lot warmer.
There's been a lot of hot spots detected in the Melbourne area over the last 12 hours.
So those gusty winds and warm temperatures are definitely definitely gonna be a huge factor in today's match is at the Australian Open.
We'll see how big of a factor.
Really? Von Yeah.
You have to do something about it.
Yeah, well, at least at least here you are.
All right Today.
I'm glad to hear that you're all right right now, but yeah, thanks Isaac for joining here on sports cast or got to have you here, man.

I'll try to check you out, Isaac, if I can.
If I can excuse me and I had definitely try to stop by and we're getting live tennis about momentarily.
Let's take a look first off at the bracket in Djokovic's corner, first off Stephanos, 60.
Puss has already advanced in the third round with a win over Philipp Kohlschreiber.
He'll play the winner of Garin and around each other.
Second round match ups on this side of the racket include Paragons, Chill Itch, Mo against Bautista.
Agut, Schwartzman taking on Davidovitch.
Pullman's taking on a lot of each Evans against Nishikori and Ito against one of the best tennis players in the world.
Choking Mitch, It's 45 degrees in Florida right now.
Wow, Man and Novak Djokovic and Sassy McGee, too, will take the court at Rod Laver Arena at 10:30 p.m.
I'll be off air by then, but that should be an interesting match. Nonetheless.
Uh, you're not culpable.
All the fourteens are because of how you see this.
What about my weather? Ah, it's eight degrees here with eight degrees this morning.
Anyway, I think it got up to, like, 18 but yeah, Serena Williams in action against Tamara Zadan sec also at Rod Laver Arena.
That will be tomorrow morning in the early morning hours that 3 a.m.
Prime time in Australia.
It's not so. It's not snowing tonight, Isaac.
No, it will probably.
I think it's supposed to snow later in the week.
But no, no snow right now, which is good.
And then the cap off the night it's Roger Federer against Philip Krajina *****.
That's also at Rod Laver Arena at 4:30 a.
Eastern time to complete the full day of action on day three at the 2020 Australian Open.
Luckily, Isaac when it was freezing cold this morning, eight degrees when I was walking to the bus stop, uh, he ditched his class of Ian your gym class.
Coco Goff the sensation.
15 years of age, checking on Khurana.
Christa, That's a Melbourne Arena coming up very shortly.
Hopefully I can get you out.
So live commentary that one before I have to end the broadcast.
Golf, you know, must watch tennis right now.
And four Water Lauderdale.
Railly. Yeah, she's from Ford.
Oh, that's right, Isaac, That's awesome.
You got to me here.
Yeah, she's literally my age.
She's like, I think three or four months older than me and that's it.
Her parents have a restaurant.
Yeah, cool, Cool.
And yeah, she she's the real deal.
She's getting ready for her, man.
She was on the practice courts earlier, and she's getting ready to take the court.
Melbourne, Australia is 16 hours ahead of us in the eastern time zone and for those of you on the West Coast, 19 hours ahead.
So it is currently well, 1:22 p.m.
Australia time in Melbourne.
Ah, in on Wednesday afternoon.
So most of the matches to take place while we're sleeping.
But at least I get together.
Get some live commentary here before I have to head to bed and let's do it.
Some live tennis coming up.
Plenty of matches in action at the outer courts as well.
We had rain on day one, so the only matches that could be played we're on Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Arena and Margaret Court Arena.
Those are the only three with roofs.
Impressive how they do have that many arenas with roofs, but it was a beautiful day yesterday.
Same for the most part today, although those gusty winds and warm temperatures definitely will affect how these how these players go out and play throughout the night here in the U. S.
You're gonna go back to Frances broadcast out of the impression.
Cool, cool, Cool.
That sounds good, thanks to Richard for joining the broadcast.
Yeah, I'll definitely try toe trying to check you out.
The Bruins are in action against the night, so they just took the lead 3 to 2, actually, and going to Let's do a flashback.
Back in 2019 Coco got defeated, lost a pay go Ah, and she won.
That was, Ah, minor open a little bit before this tournament and then the first round of the Australian Open. A rematch.
Believe they're not with Venus Williams.
They met in Wimbledon when golf one in the same story for Cocoa Gough.
She won again against Venus Williams, and you know that's really catching everyone's eyes.
Those two took took the court on day one of the tournament.
I actually stayed up for it started around midnight Eastern, but I have school on Monday because of the holiday.
But, yes, cough.
Wanted in strength sets over Venus Williams and and a lot of respect Coco Goff has for Venus Williams and the other way around a cz well.
And so Coco Golf in action here in the second round, and we'll see how far she could go.
I root for pretty much every American in it and got being a 15 year old makes it all the more entertaining, the follow, and it looks like she is now ready to go at Melbourne Arena.
It, as expected, it's a packed house.
So this Wednesday afternoon in Australia, as they are getting ready to take the court and warm up for this one cheering, great personality, thanks so much everyone for being a part of the broadcast.
Yeah, that place is packed.
I think it's the third largest out of ah, out of all of Melbourne Park when it comes to stadiums, believe Margaret Court Arenas, the second largest.
And, of course, Rod Laver Arena is the biggest, and really Coco got becoming a rising star since defeating Venus Williams in the 2019 Wimbledon first around.
Well, she made it to the round of 16 of Wimbledon going to and one in the tournament in Washington, D.
She lost in the first round, going on one, but in the U.
S Open house in the third round, going to and one butt at Linz.
As I just mentioned, she was a champion going five, you know in Luxembourg.
Lost in the first round, going Oh, and one at 2020.
Auckland defeated in the second round, going one on one and one and now at the Australian Open.
So far Ah, one of the record 12 in five overall.
Since defeating Venus Williams back in Ah at Wimbledon in the summer.
And ah, as pretty darn good for a 15 year old, I'd say Ahh! Weird for the fur.
Ah, receiving my money on SportsCastr.
Oh, um well, I can't collect it through because I don't have, like, a PayPal account, but ah, because Nick was telling me like I had a lot of money and they're from over like, the past many months, and I told him that I didn't have an account, So he said he'd send the check out to me and it actually came through like a cup like a couple of days ago, actually.
So I'm sure if you asked him to if you want to just cash in.
And I told him that if he could say I asked him if he could send the check, I'm sure he'd be willing to do that.
Originally, I just didn't know if I was gonna be able to make it, but he reached out to me and I was like, Oh, all right.
If you could do that, that would be great.
And so you're looking at Osaka's quarter in the Australian Open.
Osaka will await the winner of this match up with the cocoa Golf Diaby Osaka third round matchup.
He must watch. I'd say so.
Other third round action.
Another American, Sofia Cannon, ranked 14th in the world, Taken on Zom shwe of China, Another second round Maxine Action.
Excuse me job or taking on Garcia.
Wealthy Yankee also in action, looking to ah Thio make her career a couple days longer.
At least this is her last tournament of her career before she's gonna call it quits stealing with ah, lot of injuries, unfortunately, But you know, much respect for Wozniak and she's giving it everything she's got.
Hopefully, she can get the wind tonight later on.
Oh, yeah, Thanks, Isaac.
I appreciate I appreciate it.
I think the poor kid who's for the cake should have been in his class.
No, not if that's no, that's not a class that No, you shouldn't.
He shouldn't have been in there, but, uh oh, well, people will be annoying.
Sorry about that.
But anyways, it's Coco Got the American taken on Samona.
Krista the Romanian.
I promise you coming up next, it's live coverage of the Australian Open and beautiful Melbourne, Australia, in on this Wednesday afternoon, Day three, the tournament and the second round underway.
Sounds good, Isaac.
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll definitely try to stop by quickly during this commercial break.
Stay tuned, everybody.
Goths and Krista coming up next.
The first serve after this quick break.
All right, Welcome back, everybody.
What's going on? Miami Cain's welcome in here.
I appreciate you stopping by on this Tuesday night and a warm day hit Australia down under in Melbourne.
The fans trying to cool down a bit and the wind is definitely a factor as well.
It's woman's second round action.
Here is Coco Goff taking on Surana, Krista and let's take a quick peek at Margaret Court Arena.
Where was the Yankee is taking on 23rd ranking of Streams? Go.
They're all knotted up at five apiece in the first set, and it's Wozniacki serving down love 15.
And that backhand return is long, so 15.
All this is turning out to be quite the first set here.
Was the AKI looking, too looking Thio.
Move on to the next round.
Keep her career going for at least a little bit longer.
First serve from her hits the net.
She'll try again here to avoid the double fault second servant play, but the forehand return too much on it from your strips.
Got 30 15. Just like that.
So most Jackie looking to take advantage here while serving there is a serve clock at the Australian Open.
By the way, we'll see if that plays a role and really any match, and the first serve hits the net.
But she is really effective on the second serve that is in play.
The return down the line on the backhand from your stream ska, but they say it went long.
40 15 strips go looked a little unsure about the call.
It looked pretty close, but was the AKI with game point here looking to take the lead in the first set and was the AKI on the backhand? Your strength is gone.
The forehand was the AKI switches over to the forehand, and that's off the net.
So your strength ska stays alive here in the in the game.
Wozniacki serving from the left side.
She will pick up her toss.
Their didn't like it, and she will try again here and now.
Things blown around on the court with these gusty winds.
I told you to be a factor.
Not just the warm temperatures, but the winds.
No doubt a huge part of this cell, the ball boys working.
Ah, not just being ball boys, but also help it out with whatever it was blowing out on the court.
Now we get Thio, resume play and the water and turn on the back head by a strengths.
Go right on the baseline for the point.
You can't draw it up any better than that.
It's a juice spot on shot, giving Wozniacki no chance for the return.
Not even a chance to get to it.
First service wide from Wozniacki and Over and Melbourne Arena Golf in Christa are ready to get underway.
Goff serving the first game.
Meanwhile, your straps go at the point over at M C. A.
She now has advantage about a turnaround in that game.
All right, golfing Cristian with their first rally of the match, and that one is wide on the backhand from Christa and go off with the first point of the match. 15 lakhs.
All right back in Margaret Court Arena.
Add out for her in a powerful forehand shot.
But you're Sremska, unable to get it over the net.
We're back in a deuce.
Meanwhile, over at Melbourne Arena, golf's first served off the net and wide.
She'll try again here on the second servant.
Thank you, Monique, for joining the broadcast.
I appreciate and hope you're having a good night.
Glad to have you here too much on that forehand shot from Coco Golf and the same to be selling the return by a shrimp ska as that one is long and advantage goes towards the AKI.
You're trying to get to the extreme I What's going on? I appreciate you joining here, Mona.
Glad to have you here.
And both at both court.
Fear there in rallies.
And the backhand shot from Wozniacki is long.
So they're back and a deuce this game turning out to go quite the distance.
55 in the first set.
Coco is on is Ah Melbourne Arena.
Her match just underway against Christa of Romania.
They're literally literally in the first game.
Golf leads it and she's serving.
Yeah, no problem.
No problem. Absolutely.
The Australian Open.
Pretty crazy, because for us here in the U.
S, the matches are going on the in the middle of the night for the most part.
But at least I got to commentate a few before heading in bed because they are 16 hours ahead and that forehand shot down the line in play.
And guess what? No surprise there.
Back at 40 all between Wozniacki and your streams coming while golf has game point.
We're going to take the lead here in the first set.
Yeah, it's pretty crazy with the matches.
Ah, you know, it's already the afternoon there.
1 37 PM That's pretty crazy to think about.
Yeah, here comes a second serve from Coco and she misses the backhand.
All right, back at Margaret Court Arena.
There in a deuce once again, both players going cross court on the forehand.
And that shot will be just wide from your strengths. Gun.
She seems a little bit frustrated as well.
A lot of unforced hours.
Early on advantage.
Meanwhile, with Goffin Cristian.
The return from Krista right on the baseline.
Drop shot from Got both players closing in in Cristina Makes Got pay with the beautiful backhand shot in the corner and we're in a deuce.
So and that forehand shot from your stream Ska hits the net and finally, was the AKI has won that game 65 in the first set over at Margaret Court Arena.
Meanwhile, we will focus solely right now on golf and Crystal were there and induce a nice, powerful shot there at the net from Coco.
And she has advantage.
All right, game point here for cocoa golf, and the first serve is long off the net there in her second servant plate, back in return from Christie is good but a powerful cross towards shot from God.
And she takes the first game of this match one.
She leads Christa, as both players will quickly get hydrated in the mid eighties.
Down under today the winds at about 25 miles an hour so both players will switch sides.
Krista will serve for the first time tonight.
Thanks so much everyone for being a part of the broadcast.
So the wind predictor right pre match had Crystal with the 52% chance to be golf.
So we'll see. That's interesting.
Golf is the favorite coming into this one, not by a lot.
But, you know, it's definitely an even match up.
I lean towards golf, but you never know that this should be a good one.
I I definitely think so.
Love Krystal leading here.
I would be surprised if it was a straight set victory for either one and golf on the forehand return that is wide right.
30 Love Krista, with a good start here to our first service game of the night and the first serve from Kristina is long.
Second serve coming up as she looks to avoid a double fault here.
The second round action at the Australian Open, Day three of the tournament and a lot of forehand return from Coco Got right off the server.
She goes down the line and there was no way Chris Te'o is getting to that one.
Beautiful return and it's now 30 15.
Coco golf, just 15 years young.
I really should say in the first serve off the net.
Very man your teams for performance.
Yeah, thanks for stopping by tonight.
I appreciate in Miami Cain's and that's gonna be a double fault.
So make it 30 all.
I saw when I went on your stream Elegant the score and I was like, Oh, man, yeah, that's tough.
Yeah, I actually put it on ESPN two to get ready to cover the Australian Open here And it was the end of the Kansas State Kansas game and there was a full out brawl.
It was pretty nasty.
One of the guys on chances picked up a chair.
And all of the players from the bench got injected.
Yeah, it was like one second left.
They made the teams go back on the court and stuff because the time original expired.
That whole thing was crazy.
Now that was insane.
Now 40 30. Krista.
Yeah, that's tough, William.
He's getting slapped around.
And that backhand return from God just barely wide left.
Krista takes the game, and we're all knotted up at one apiece here in the first set.
All right, So, Coco golf, serving for the second time tonight.
Well, it's the afternoon in Australia, but since most of my viewers are probably in the U.
S, I'll say tonight is a let first service from Coco second servant.
Play forehand, return down the line.
Golf gets to it, but not able to get it over the love 15.
That was a great job by Christina on the return that was beautifully done.
So now here's Koko down Love. 15.
First serve hits the net.
Golf Looking too.
Advance the third round, which would be quite the feat as a 15 year old and the return from Christie along 15 all and golf once again with a fault on her first serve.
She's been struggling here on the first surf, but the second serve has been no problem.
The same case here closing and the forehead powerful shot to the baseline gives Krista no opportunity to return it.
It's a great job I golf setting up for that one perfectly with power 30 15 and golf didn't like the toss their shell.
That one is off the net.
Another second serve opportunity.
Here she's been go into the second serve quite often, and that backhand return from Christa hits the net.
We haven't had really any up.
Pretty even average length rallies.
Never mind along and over.
And Ah, Margaret Court Arena Wozniacki with advantage set point for her.
Can she win it here? Links Karam for hopping in the stream.
I appreciate it, man.
Glad to have you here.
Hope you're having a good time in Australian Open action.
Down under and a slice from your streams.
With the point in with the set, she takes care of business over your stream.
Ska 75 and she leads one.
After one set of action, God also up to the one over at Margaret Court Arena.
Or rather Melbourne Arena.
And Ah, that's a good start for cocoa.
And what should be in a competitive match between her and Krista? Yeah, that's funny, Karam.
Yeah, that was That was pretty impressive the other day by the thunder. Indeed.
It's not looking too good for the rockets right now, but yes, Are you just joined Koran, but I will have to wrap up the stream.
I got to get ready for bed as I have school tomorrow.
Sorry about that, man.
But I'm glad you got to stop.
I I appreciate it.
This has been live commentary.
Australian Open action in the second round Maur Second round live commentary coming your way tomorrow night 9 p.m.
Make sure you check it out if you can.
No worries. Have a great night, everybody.
I'm saying Marie saying so long and I will see you next time.
