Hello, everyone and welcome.
Ah, it is a Friday afternoon.
We are just about set to kick off some Bundesliga action between Shell ca no fear and Borussia Munchen Gladbach.
Um I am going to quickly share this out.
Um And then we will get started with the team news and everything else.
Commentary! Shock, huh? Oh, come on! Sorry.
Taking my time with this Gladbach.
Ah, love now altering commentary! Shocking Gladbach tried and all right, Um yeah, it is shall Ca versus Brucie and Munchengladbach.
The Bundesliga is back from their winter break and we are ready for Ah! For the second half of the Bundesliga season.
There's, Ah lot of, um Ah, lot still to play for in the Bundesliga, which I think for those who have paid attention to the league, the German top division over the last few years.
This this is kind of new territory because Byron have been so dominant in the last few seasons that, you know, it's made the competition well, less competitive.
Um and now we're into a situation where we have Gladbach 2nd 2 points behind our be Leipzig who are ah, top of the league, Um, as it stands and we're into the second the second half of ah, of the Bundesliga season. Gladbach.
As I said, two points behind RV, Leipzig shall CA in fifth, Um, level on points with Portman and they're gonna be chasing a Champions League spot this season.
So still, so much to play for the second half of the season promises to be great, but let's go over the teams before this kicks off.
Um, we have the home team Shell ca Um, Coach by David David Wagner Who? Some, uh, if you're a Premier League fan, you may remember him from his time at Hoffenheim.
While you may not remember from his time in office, you may remember him from his time at Huddersfield.
Um, but you have their fifth level with Dorfman and he's going with a ah, with a team.
He's got 11 11 players out there, but it's, um, a little bit of a change.
Ah, starting in goal.
It's Marcus Schubert, the former Dynamo Dresden goalkeeper and ah, and youth keeper for um, the German Youth National Teams is starting in place of the suspended Alexander Ah Noble, who, if you'll remember, was suspended at the end of the first half of the season for a brutal challenge against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Um, the back line in front of the young German goalkeeper Market Schubert bashing.
No chip CA Matija Matija, Nastasic, Rosen, Kobach, Jonjo, Kenny The Everton! Loney Starting it right back in midfield.
They've got a midfield to sue out Serdar and uh, Omar Moscow.
Well, then, Allesandro shirt.
Michael Gregory Rich, who is making his debut for Shaka on loan from from Augsburg.
Daniel Caligiuri starts out on the right hand side and Benito Ramon's starts up top.
We're underway in Shaka, Shaka versus Brucie, A munchengladbach for Gladbach.
At On the other side of the ball is Ah, a little bit of, Ah, nervy moment, trying to play out from the back here for Gladbach and Shelter.
Erna earn a throw high up the field, but Yann Sommer, the experienced Swiss keeper, starts in goal for Gladbach.
Oscar went, um, starts at left back.
The 34 year old Swede getting a start in place of the Ah, the injured Bence Abi as Ah Shaka on the attack straightaway.
But Gladbach now ableto get the ball way and earn a free cake and let some pressure off.
But the tempo. Very high.
Oscar when it left back.
Tony and Ski and Matthias Ginter um at centre back.
Stephan Liner starts at right back for Gladbach in midfield.
The 23 year old Swiss has been a revelation for Gladbach in central midfield.
Joonas Hoffman starts with him, and then Brill.
Mbulelo is going to start in that attacking midfield position.
Marcus Theron, who's had such a great season for them.
Six schools, five assists.
The Frenchman starts out on the left.
Patrick chairman starting out on the right and the man up top Allyson player from another French Ah, French products of 1,000,000 descent as well.
He starts up top and he will be the main danger man.
But there are threats all across this Gladbach front line, and they are getting forward for the first time.
Real M below on the ball cross comes in from the right hand side.
Theron was interested.
Has to chase it down, though. It's over.
His head brings it down on the left.
Very high tempo from both teams already, Oscar went cutting inside for Gladbach finds Zakaria Stephan liner lining up the cross couldn't quite find it.
Zakaria liner to Herrmann Low Cross was cleared away well, by Shaka.
But it is action at both ends.
Within the 1st 2 minutes the Veltins Arena in ah, in Gilson Kirk in Germany, the ah stage for this one.
And it is, as you'd expect between two old West German rivals.
And, ah, two of the most successful teams of Germany has crossed chip toward the back post.
Haram again in the area markets.
Haram. As I said, Six schools, five assists.
But these two teams historic teams in Germany.
Shaka, um, obviously founded in 1904 where that's where the 04 comes from.
Brucie a Munchengladbach, though one of the most successful teams in German history and kind of a Liverpool vibe about them where the seventies and eighties, they just absolutely dominated German football.
And indeed, um, came up against some of those great European Liverpool teams, um, of the seventies and eighties.
So they are trying to climb back to those heights, and indeed, this season has been the third best start to abundantly get campaign in their history a little bit of a foul.
Serdar initially won the ball and then kind of left his forearm out and hit em below with a quick free kick taken over the top.
But it's out of the path of Joonas Hoffman.
He can't chase it down.
And now shell car trying to break back the other way, longball over the top, headed away initially by Ah Yan Chica and now Zakaria turning away and now Breeland below running past Shaka players but just lost control the ball at the vital moment.
Nash Elka breaking again.
The tempo of the game.
Already in these five minutes, there is no one's even stopping to take a breath.
There's no measured possession.
It is just attack after attack, trading blows and now player from distance and saved Marcus Schubert, the young German standing in for Noble.
Who is that number one? A good curling strike from player just curled maybe a bit too much and came central.
Schubert had it covered and has to tip it over the bar.
But Schubert, his last major action at senior level, what came in the third division with Dynamo dressed in when he helped them to 1/3 division title a Drayton legal title, and got them promoted back to the to the city.
This survived when this leader but a corner here for Gladbach and it evades the runs were made at the near post.
A little bit of ah, question asked by, uh, by the taker because, um, clearly the design that the ah that the taker had in mind was someone making a far post run.
The ball went to the far post.
All of the runners went to the near remind.
The other end for Shaka cuts it back.
What a What is it? And then the second shot comes in summer.
Unbelievable word from Yann Sommer.
There is a question mark as Roman made this run down the right hand side.
Did the ball just cross the line? But he cut it back and it from point blank range.
The debutante, the Debbie Tea Michael Gregory Rich, who's on loan from Augsburg, had a gilt edged chance to give shall cut the lead.
What a save Yon summer.
It is a corner for Shaka Kala jury over the corner for Shaka takes it short shop Jonjo Kenny with across to the back post and it evades the heads of everyone in their.
Serdar was interested, as was Ozan Kobach.
Greg Rich nearly opened his account within his the 1st 10 minutes of his debut for Shell Ca and the second shot that came in a CZ well, Suitt Sardar had quite a quite a chance as well.
It was a decent fit but young summer showing why he is one of the best keepers in the Bundesliga and now straight back the other way.
Munchengladbach player was looking for a run and it will eventually come back into the hands of the sliding Marcus Schubert.
But stunning start to the game already.
Just both teams full of running and a good win.
Oh, both teams just trading good good winds of possession in the middle of the park, able to break up break up play.
But both teams attacking with just unbelievable tempo.
It's like watching two heavyweight boxers going back and forth and that balls cut out by Kobach.
Oh, the ball measured through towards Roman was cut out at the last minute.
Tony and Tia nearly and now a little action off the ball, perhaps, and a free kick given to Gladbach for a coming together already.
Just stuff stunning tempo to this game and I can't quite get over it.
Shaka trying to break but again both teams both teams not playing for dangerous back pass here but summer able to get to it, go up for Gladbach and his long ball is then flick back to shooter Schubert by Bach.
I was on Kobach.
The Turkish international played his youth Ah, football at Galatasaray, one of the famous Istanbul clubs, but joined Stuttgart from Galatasaray High and that broke him into German football.
And then ah, moved on and indeed up as it stands right now, moved up from Stuttgart to, uh, Shaka and then, ah, free kick This time goes against Ah, goes against Gladbach is given for handball in the middle of the park against Marcus Haram.
Gladbach have won it back but shelter when it back straight away.
Nice little interchange.
And it's a hefty tackle that comes in eventually but did well to win the ball there.
Janka just winning, winning a crunching tackle and Ra Mon, feeling the effects of this one.
Yenta, as I said, went in with a crunching tackle.
He got he certainly got the ball.
It's a good tackle.
It's it's unfortunate it's left.
It's left a little bit of a sore one on on Romano and but it it was a brilliant tackle on the edge of the area by the Gladbach defender.
But Ra mon suffering a little bit here, hopefully just an impact injury and hopefully we'll be able to run it, run it off.
Excuse me, it's not reminded Serdar.
It's just that his his shin just gets caught between the legs of Janka and it is Ah Suitt Serdar, the central midfielder for Shaka who's going after limp off.
I did think it was Benito Romano, the big Belgian number nine, but it's the number eight Shaka with a throw and it not really sure they're playing with 10.
As it stands, Gladbach win it back.
Is that a foul? Is Joonas Hoffmann threatened a runaway there on the counter.
It's getting a little bit of a talking to for the shirt poll on Eunice Hoffman, referee having a bit of a laugh as well, just ah, going back and forth with Alessandro Shop.
The tempos cut back just a little bit since the injury just been a little broken up, and Shaka earned a throw here.
Throw headed away initially by, uh, Oscar Vent.
Did the ball go out? The referee says No, a little bit of a physical game and a broken up game happening now in in midfield.
Throw comes in for Gladbach, and Theron was trying to turn shock ableto win it, and then finally do get it away and coming away with it.
Caligiuri just nudged off the ball there and it unfairly by M Below.
It will be a free kick to Shaka Jonjo Kenny to take this one.
Shark is attacking.
Half goes along towards the edge of the area, looking for Roman headed away by events.
Caligiuri collects it, though, for Shaka and then Mass.
Carell, turning away from the pressure, played it out wide back to Kenny.
Looking down the line finds a decent ball.
It was shut food gone from the left hand side to the right hand side.
It's played out for another shock, a throw and Shaka maybe just putting a little more pressure and maintaining a little bit more possession in Ah Gladbach's half.
They have had the best chance of the game.
A stunning double safe from Yann Sommer has kept it level, but it's definitely chilled out in the last few minutes because the opening exchanges were just absolutely relentless from both teams.
Shaka winning it high up the field again.
Ramana from a tight angle but hits the side netting.
Yann Sommer watched it go harmlessly wide.
It would have been it would have taken something truly special for remand to beat summer from that sort of area.
But Gladbach have given it away.
The cross comes in towards the centre summer with another save.
It was shut on the edge of the area and summer made another brilliant save.
Shuff denied the cutback looked dangerous and Shaka looking looking the more threatening of the two teams to start this match.
Longball over the top, eventually played back to summer by Ginter and now back to Zakaria Gladbach getting the their hands on the ball a little bit player in the center player from outside the area Did it strike a hand.
He's claiming that it did.
It goes behind for a Gladbach corner.
Yeah, back in the way of that one.
Certainly they'll take a look at it.
He's got his Scott, his arms behind his back.
I mean, no, it's not a handball from too close of a distance corner comes into the far post.
It was missed initially by Schubert, but it came off of Brill M Below or a Schubert it did.
Did get the last touch there.
Maybe just got a touch on it.
Headed away in the end by stared are Who is back on the field? But it'll be another corner for Gladbach.
It's one in towards the centre, this one caught by Schubert watching Schubert with interest tonight. Nice.
Nice distribution to throw out for Shuff.
Oh, you tried to play ball through the center.
Good idea, but cut out well by God block.
Gladbach tries tries again, and then Zakaria able to get it away, but only as far as Ah, yes, sausage and Kalmbach.
Who are Cobb who? Ah, combined toe, Maintain possession for Shaka? Well, Schubert.
Schubert's acquitted himself quite well in this one, although a little bit of a rash decision to come out for the first corner, but did well on the second attempt, Thio to claim it now Gladbach winning that long ball in the air, but Shaka immediately winning it back again.
The pressure is telling as ah, as it this game continues.
Gladbach having a little bit of trouble maintaining the maintaining possession or at any, uh, true any true possession is now Ah, cries of derision from the shock of fans towards the referee due to the fact that, um, he's given the throw GLAAD box way Shaka in their traditional blue and white Gladbach, sporting a white shirt with a little water color green accent at the bottom there and now foul as Kenny Kit Kenny maybe stepped on Theron there, Haram tried to bring the ball down and just kicked the inside of Ah tah rom's hell, it's Yeah, it's a foul.
The Liverpudlian plying his trade and guess Nelson Kirk in.
And he'll be the first to go into the book for that sore challenge against David Theron.
And this will be a dangerous position.
First yellow card for the Everton Loney plying his trade in the blue and white of Shell ca rather than the blue and white of Everton.
Um certainly familiar familiar trappings in the in the boot room, but Kenny first booking of the of the Bundesliga season a look, a look at shall kiss chances.
I mean, this one was cut back and it was shut.
Fu had the chance Shaka setting up their defense, Joonas Hoffman as Theron, hobbling into the center there, sportsman like high five between him and John Joe Kenny knew there was no intent in it, but it was still a sore 1 20 minutes played Oscar vent and Joonas Hoffman, the two Gladbach players looking to whip this one in from the left hand side.
They lay it off top of the box, Good block in the end, Serdar committing, committing his body to the block there for Shaka because they cut it back looking for that shot from the edge of the area and the block was absolutely vital to keeping keeping Gladbach from registering really there first.
Chance of the game.
Although they have had some dangerous moments, Shaka have dealt with it for the most part.
The atmosphere inside the Veltins Arena amped up to 11 and now the foul goes against Patrick Chairman Patrick chairman, the 28 year old, just the two Germany caps to his name, but there was a point where he looked like he would become the next kind of the next hot commodity out of the Bundesliga.
Just a few short years ago.
Um, but now it looks like he is gonna remain at Gladbach for Ah, you know, the foreseeable future.
And he's become a a piece of the furniture around the club is now shall go with the dangerous attack the other way.
Cross chip to the far post, head away by event.
And now Zakaria trying to bring it away, but held in again by Shaka Shoko Maintaining the pressure, keeping a very, very high line pressing Hi ball played over the top and it's Gregory.
It's chasing this one down with vent vent ableto put it back over his head, but it's a blind clearance into the penalty area.
Ra Mon Serdar on the edge of the area, running away from a couple of Gladbach players and the tackles one in the end by Zachary.
And it might be a chance on here, the ball through the center for burial and below.
If he could bring it down, he couldn't quite get it out from under his feet, and that was a good chance on the counter for Gladbach and they weren't able Thio.
They weren't able to come away with it.
It's ah well do***ented that he made his switch from the Swiss Super League and and Basel, where he really burst on the scene, Um, with the Swiss giant Sea made the switch to Shaka on It never quite worked out for him, but he's having a good season now that he switched Munchengladbach so back in his back at his former club.
But six goals and two assists already halfway through the season to his name.
Good return for a, uh for a central attacking midfield type player.
Second striker, If you will.
Greg Riches play the ball through here.
Roman may be on to this one, but it rolls back to summer well watched by Matthias Ginter If if he was not smart to that one, Roman was threatening to be one on one with the keeper Gladbach in possession.
Now vent going along looking for the flick on from player.
But M below, able to come away with it, play an M below, trying to link up but squeezed out of possession by Shaka Ebola tryingto excuse me player trying to win it back.
But shall ca able to get away from the pressure and mass? Carell able to play it back to Schubert and just just hit the valve a little bit and let them out of what was becoming a difficult situation for shocking to play through.
Jonjo Kenny looking for the run in field of Cal a jury but cleared straight to M below now for Gladbach and they are on the attack.
Steppin liner tried to play the ball inside for player and then a foul given away by liner Serdar getting in between liner and the ball and the Austrian right back for Munchengladbach.
Just fouling following him by, Ah, a little bit of hands around the shoulders.
Looking long again.
Direct high tempo is exactly how this match is being played.
It isn't The midfield has crept a little bit back into it in the last few minutes, but this is more or less being played.
Just front to back.
Not really not really involving the midfield.
Ah, when when they're capable of bypassing it.
Munchengladbach pressing Shaka in possession here.
But Shaka calm able to play through the press of the team, sitting second in the table as it stands, long ball looking out wide for the overlapping run of Kenny by shock.
It was cut out initially by event held in the Gregory JJ on his debut.
Blocked shot blocked Gladbach trying to bring it away.
Zakaria such a such a good midfielder in possession, they're able to get it clear.
Zachary is, is just great toe watch on the ball.
So much technical ability.
But he's also yo extremely, extremely big body in there.
But his lanky, his lanky limbs just give him this ability to cover so much ground and but also to control the ball.
Shaka Shaka giving it away, though it's through the middle for Ebola.
Was he brought down there? It might still come for player, and it is a corner.
Mbulelo thought he was fouled on the edge of the area.
The ball played through the center.
It was between the center backs again, couldn't get the ball under control.
And then, as he tried to go past Kobach in central defense for Shaka Ah, he went over.
But I don't think, Don't think it was a foul cause.
I don't think he was ever getting to the ball.
I think it was one of those where he Ah, he lost control and a foul was really his only shop.
A corner for Gladbach drilled into the near post, cleared away by Shaka and then Zakaria ops to play it all the way back to summer, who's well outside his area.
The ball goes back to Zachary, another Swiss national Democratic Republic of Congo lineage.
But a Swiss national came from young boys BSC, another of the big the big boys of of Swiss football Basil and young boys, both represented in this Gladbach team.
Long ball for Shaka, one by one by Gladbach play able to find Caligiuri.
Player tried to roll it into the path of hair man who was ahead of him.
But Shaka win it back ball through the center.
Want to save summer again? It still might come for a chip guy.
He's looking for the cross and it's played behind a corner for Shaka Benito Romano on with another brilliant chance.
He looks just about level.
He time has run to perfection But summer stayed equally.
And at that moment where Roman tried to **** it low past him Summer with a lovely save with his left boot.
Yann Sommer, the man of the match So far for Munchengladbach, it could be three.
Nothing to shelter right now if not for Yann Sommer and Gold Corner for Shaka into the center.
Headed over the bar, though by Miss Stash it.
Miss Sausage, Miss Tacit Maty Matija Nastasic, A Serbian partisan Belgrade product.
Maybe a little lucky there did throw the elbow, Um, near m below.
But Ms Das ich uh, formerly of Fiorentina and Manchester City didn't really ever work out a city couple loan moves, and he found his way permanently to the Veltins Arena.
Well played down the line by Jonjo Kenny and now Gladbach trying to bring it away.
Kenny wins it back, though.
It was some decent skill down the left hand side by David Haram.
Our markets trauma think David's is dead, but Marcus around Kenny back on the ball.
We are about to hit the 30 minute mark.
29 a half elapsed, but we're about to hit that first half hour and Shaka have had three very good chances to score.
Yann Sommer helping Gladbach stay in this one.
But they'll have toe stay sharp and maybe get a little bit more control over this game.
Gladbach Shaka Just enjoying a wealth of the wealth of the ball and the wealth of the chances so far.
Serdar wins out one back high of the field and then is fouled and liner Stephan Liner.
The Austrian right back now goes into the referees book just took the trailing leg of Serdar Azi.
The Austrian took one for the team there, but he does get go into the book for it and now shall ca with a chance from just outside the area.
Well, I say, just outside the area from about 35 38 yards, maybe a chance to deliver a ball into a dangerous area.
Cross Swords of Far Post, headed away by Zakaria, played down the line by Kenny Shocker.
It might mascara with the cross, and it's blocked behind Ginter with the intervention against intervention.
It's terrible Shaka proving too much for Gladbach to deal with at the moment.
Something has to change has to be said Calla jury over the corner for Shaka here in towards the centre, headed away at the near post Haram and then brought away by Mbulelo Little nudge in the back and free kit goes against him.
Uh, yeah, Foul against Ebola.
For how he Ah, how he competed for that ball and shall go with another chance from a free kick.
A little wider position this time with the left foot comes in towards the centre.
Gregory was interested, Serdar chasing that one, but it's behind for a Gladbach goal kick.
Michael Greg Ridge, 25 year old Austrian joined this winter window on loan from Augsburg Shelter, looking for reinforcements in the attacking areas.
Couple of injuries.
So they've brought him in to fill a gap in.
Had some had some chances.
Shaka winning that long ball back then Gladbach winning it back off of off of them and then back to Shaka and back to Gladbach.
Was there a foul there in midfield? Shaka advantage played, you know, go back to summer and now fell on.
Caligiuri was a bit of a sore one Oscar vent.
The offending party just left one in on Caligiuri.
They're free cake plate down the line, vent able tojust make enough contact with it, and it's behind for another corner for Shaka.
Lots of pressure for Gladbach to withstand in this first, David Wagner has seen playing well.
They just don't have the gold ists show for it in the low cross there from Caligiuri behind for another shock a corner, Caligiuri over the corner once again towards the near post looking for a flick and eventually cleared away by Gladbach but held in again by Shaka, then the ball over the top.
They're trying to watch it out for a goal kick Gladbach, and they do just about and below doing his duty defensively there.
Gladbach, struggling to cope a times with the pressure, haven't created really much of note up to this point, or at least not in comparison to the hosts.
Summer does take the free kick.
It goes long, one in the air by Shaka and then Zakaria able to escape little bit of a press in midfield and now the ball sprayed out wide for liner Zakaria event Haram M below.
Pull up the player now.
Ebola, Haram, Long switch to liner Zakaria with the ball rolled through hair.
Mons cross to the back post and it has to be put out in front of em below.
Kala jury tracking back and now a corner for Gladbach still 00 despite loads of action.
37th minute corner for Gladbach toward the back post.
Got the header on and it's headed off the line.
Gregory JJ and then to Rahm down in a heap in the box.
Referee not interested.
A zits booted clear by Shell ca collected By summer.
Haram stays down in the area.
Will Gladbach put it out? The referee's not stopping play.
Shaka Shaka is fans absolutely letting markets to Rahm have it for remaining down in the area.
The corner came in good corner and a good header at the back post by tour, um headed off the line by Grigor itch.
And then it was Jonjo Kenny.
I believe he'd beaten Schubert, but Grigor itches.
Position on the line was impeccable to keep it out.
So now a dropped ball, the penalty shot I'd have to see.
And now the drop ball goes to yawn, Summer and Gladbach playing out from the back.
No ah review forthcoming of that incident in the area, but liners storming forward cross to the back post is just a little over hit can player keep it in.
He can play with a cross of his own, headed away just in front of Marcus Schubert.
The shot from distance Jonas Hoffman came in. It was blocked away.
It's behind for another Gladbach corner, but this is they're turning the heat up here in the final five minutes, or five or six minutes of the first half.
So much happening.
Gladbach, with a chance here from the corner Oscar vent, delivering this one with the left foot, chipped in towards the centre, just evaded the head of Hoffman at the near post, and then Schubert able to come out and catch it.
Schubert rolls it out, get him started quickly. Again.
They tried to start that that counter quickly, but now might be open on the counter themselves.
Nope, Shaka, win it back.
Shutting the door there.
Now it's shock running down the right hand side.
He's been on the left most of the first half, but a poor flat ball across gives it straight back to Gladbach vent chips of all down the line looking for a tour? Um, we take a look at summer's.
That's four saves a couple.
A couple of chances were made it easy on ah on summer, but the couple of chances and particularly reminds where he was.
He was. It was a true one on one.
I mean summer, just demonstrating his value in Glad box defense.
Shaka attacking now Roman having to chase it down to the right hand side, running back into the center here, just giving the ball away in the center.
And then Gladbach coming away with it, play a away from Mass. Carell.
And now was there a hand to the face of player play? Ah, did he? It's actually Bastian.
No chip guy who is chasing player player had gotten away from him, and it was just his natural arm swings.
Struck, struck Jaczko in the chip go in the face and it's it doesn't look a free kick if I'm honest, cause it it's completely he's running and he's got an arm swing.
He If you're running and your arms air swinging naturally, you can't it can't be a foul for youto hit someone with your arm swing makes absolutely no sense.
How would he run without swinging his arms anyways? It was given as a foul in the center of the park and stopped a what would have been a promising Gladbach attack.
It's disappointing that because there is contact with the face, but it's the exaggerated way with which the player goes down and it you win the free kick.
You a rightful frustrated with that decision.
It was a great run by player and he's done absolutely nothing wrong but been penalized long ball forward from the goal kick from Yann Sommer, Long clearance out from Kenny and then headed into touch by Gladbach and Shocker, will have a throw just a couple of minutes left in regular time here at the end of the first half.
The first half is out.
Absolutely flown by.
Shaka absolutely should be in the lead, but glad back with a couple of good chances himself.
They grew into the game very late in the first half, but Shaka, with so many so many good chances, yon summer playing extremely well and now perhaps a little bit of a makeup call in the middle of the field by the referee against Grigor itch.
There, a soft foul stops the show Shaq attack.
So maybe now he can say they're even event.
With the first time cross in the header over the bar by Herrmann, it would have been a difficult header.
The ball in from Vent was fantastic, but it would have taken a very special header to be able to beat Schubert from that sort of distance.
Marcus Schubert just 21 in goal.
And it, I mean, for a keeper, it feels like, you know, uh, practically practically 10 at that point, Gladbach, with a promising little interchange in the center of the park in Bulow, squeezing it through play on the edge of the box, it's rolled through Chairman Saved by Schubert Schubert with the writ first.
He's had to make.
But player player looks possessed.
Chairman just about.
He kind of kicks the ground before he makes contact with the ball, and it takes all of the power off of the strike.
But but both both sides.
The fact that this match is still scoreless is is nothing short of miraculous.
Grigor rich bringing that ball under control down in the corner and then it's played off of to Rahm, who was tracking back in out for a shell, can throw just one minute.
Added on. We've already played most of it.
So pretty much be the last action of the first half 00 but certainly doesn't feel that way as Kenny scoops this ball forward.
Will there be one last chance for Shaka? Shove off in the area into the centre.
In it, a bullet header by Grigor itch wide, and that is the final action of the first half.
Another good chance for Michael Grigor.
Itch the chip into the center but just completely got the header. Wrong.
It is Mil mil from the Veltins Arena, 00 It is a thrilling first half of football, very intense.
Half a couple of bookings will a few bookings.
Actually, it feels like a proper a proper Bundesliga game.
And what a way to reintroduce the world to the Bundesliga after a long winter break.
Um, the Veltins Arena, the site as of yet they have not seen a goal.
I would be shocked if if it remains that way.
Um, but this this game in it is it started just at full throttle, both teams fully going for it.
The tempo is high.
The play was direct, The midfielder's were barely getting a touch.
It was just going one end to the other.
And the, uh it has to be said that Shaka have had the better chances so far.
Um, and are very unlucky.
And Gladbach have young summer to thank, um for a brilliant first half goalkeeping because it it was very nearly a It could have been the game could have been over, um, inside the first half hour, but summer absolutely.
Cat has kept Gladbach in it and then they had good chances of their own towards the end of the first half.
And it was actually a Grigori header off the line for Shell ca, which kept them from going behind.
Um and then we had Ah.
Then we had a save from Schubert right at the end of the first half and then Grigoris missing a chance at the other end.
It is just scintillating stuff.
Everything you want from the Bundesliga attacking, attacking, encounter attacking.
That's all there is.
There is no there is no possession.
There's no everybody is just going to attack Encounter.
It's act hit on the break, and it's it's gonna be great fun for the neutrals.
Um, so far, still 00 I hope you guys will join me for the second half.
I'm gonna take a brief break, and then we'll be back for what promises to be just a thrilling second half.
Um, I'm hoping that we get that early second half goal that really sends this.
Ah, this match up into the neck.
Ah, and I hope you guys will stick around to see who gets it.
Still 00 shell ca versus Burstein Munchengladbach.
I will be back in a few minutes for the second half. Action.
So you guys in all right, guys, as we, uh as we get ready, Thio, start the second half.
Here it is a still 00 for those for those joining in.
But it's been Yeah, all action.
Both ends, Uh, some great goalkeeping by young summer.
Some absolutely, um, missed some big missed opportunities for both teams.
Um, chances to take the lead for both teams loads and loads of chances at both ends.
So, yeah, it's been all action.
Um, it's shocking that it's not It's not.
This game could easily be like 3 to 2 right now.
Instead, we it's sitting, sitting 00 But once that first goal goes in, I have a feeling that there will be, ah, procession of goals.
But, um, as we are waiting for the second half, um, the, uh, some of you may notice the, uh, kid I'm wearing this is Dynamo Dresden back from there.
Ah, time in the in the third division in Germany, the, uh, the three patch, um Dynamo Dresden fighting their way back up.
They, uh we're one of the best and most successful teams in the old East Germany.
Back when that was a thing.
And you can tell where you can see above the badge right here.
Right? Geez, I'm terrible at this.
Um, yeah, it's a star with an eight in it, and that's for their eight East German titles.
So they won the won the league eight times.
They were in European competition during that time as as East German champions.
Um, And when the Berlin Wall came down and the reunification of Germany obviously teams in the west in West Germany enjoyed a lot of advantages over over those in the East.
Um, the amount of money that had been in West German football versus East German was significant.
Um, so teams like Shaka and, uh, Munchengladbach and Stuttgart, Bayern Munich were all able to poach the best players from East German clubs because they could pay a lot more money.
And so East German clubs have suffered.
I would say our they've played been playing catch up, uh, literally now for, you know, 30 just, you know, just shy of 30 years since the reunification of Germany.
So, um, Dresden took some big steps the last couple of years, and they're now debt free, which is very good for the sustainability of the club.
But as of right now, it's not looking great on the field because of Ah, well, they said bottom of the survival of this league, which hoping that changes.
They've made a couple of signings in the in the winter market, but, um, but dressed in definitely need to turn it around sooner rather than later.
Otherwise, we'll be back in the in the drink league A and, um, that's ah, it was Ah, long you know, three seasons in in the in the Drayton legal for Dresden before they finally want it.
Um, and came back up to the this vibe Bundesliga.
So hopefully they're sustainability.
Gives them, um, a chance toe, get a few players in and get some reinforcements, and and, ah, see out the rest of the campaign without, without being relegated.
But it's gonna be a tough ask, but yeah, just a little bit of East German West German history for you, Um, a family who was from Dresden.
So, um, that is the ah, he's like the air.
You know, that side of the family, a little bit of Saxon representation, sacks dressed in being the, uh, along with Leipzig that, you know, two of the biggest cities in Ah in Saxony and the teams are coming back out.
It is, uh, still for those joining in.
Munchengladbach and Shaka still nodded at zero.
They're in Gilson Kirk, in which is where Shaka is located.
The Veltins Arena.
The roofs closed tonight.
One of those odd things in world football actually a stadium with with a retractable roof.
We're about to start the second half, and both these teams will have gone in tow.
Halftime Thinking that they could be in the lead and they'd both be correct.
Maybe more so than then Gladbach.
But Summer has played so well in goal and now early foul against Gladbach.
Oscar Vent, the offender.
We're gonna look to deliver this free kick in.
It's Kala jury over this one.
Out on the right, it's out on the right flank deep and he'll be ableto whip a ball in with his right foot in towards the penalty spot.
And it was headed away, put back in towards the box but headed away again by Gladbach and then headed back in Shall Ca, trying to bring it down Serdar on the edge of the area as of all one off him by Joonas Hoffman and then cleared out into touch for a shell. Cutthroat.
Matthias Ginter taking charge of that one.
Serdar running in field.
But Zakaria ableto bring the ball away and then play a player trying to get around Moscow Well, and now Gladbach, win it back and head back the other way.
Rolled across player.
It was a good strike from player, but easy for Schubert toe hold did not get the contact on there that he would have liked but well done by the young German keeper.
To smother that one as well and keep it from being overly dangerous.
Long ball down the line could turn into a dangerous moment here for Gladbach.
Greg, Greg Aurich Bring it under control plays it infield senators and acres of space center with the curler.
What a goal! Sue out.
Sarah there has given Shaka the lead.
Just two minutes into the second half, Sue out.
Sarah ran into space and curled it into the far corner beyond Yann Sommer, who did so much to keep God back in it early in this game.
But he can't keep this one out.
There's just so much space in the center of the park he had a ball on, but instead he just went for the corner.
It was he had a chance to lay it off to Caligiuri.
He goes for the corner, took it earlier than I think Summer was expecting, and it had just enough power and curl on it to get it wide of summer's big left hand, which he tried to get across to get it to get to keep it out.
But Shell ca taking the lead and you can't say they don't deserve a goal.
Up to this point, Sue Outsider has given them a fantastic one early in the second half, and the Veltins Arena comes to life and rises to congratulate it's latest goal scorer.
And now shall ca attacking again.
They've got their tails up now.
Sarah are tryingto roll a ball through for Grigor itch, but a little over hit.
It will be a goal kick Yann Sommer to take well, Gladbach, perhaps unexpectedly this season but by virtue of their lead position, are in the title conversation, and a loss here would certainly be a dent to their ambitions.
With RV Leipzig proving the toughest competitors right now and now.
Sh Elka Attacking again Cross comes in just over the head of Gregory JJ, My comfort Kala jury, and it's deflected just in front.
It was young ska and vent.
They both dove in front, and it's actually it's actually the back side of Matias.
Ginter was the only thing that kept that from being on target.
The Veltins Arena is absolutely bouncing after the opener and Gladbach are under pressure here.
Caligiuri to deliver the corner in and it might might have fallen to Mass.
Carell there, but he I just lost it out from under his feet.
He received the ball from Greg Aurich.
And what a goal.
David Wagner celebrating with the staff they deserved.
They deserve the lead in the first half, and there was so much there was so much space.
Serdar made no mistake, though, if he had, if he had fluff his lines there, but he got it exactly right.
Ball shipped over the top and it's shark attacking again.
Shuff Good tackle in the center by Zakaria two and now a yellow card for Marcus Haram Zakaria with a beautiful tackle there.
And then Yep, Haram, just stepping on Jonjo Kenny's foot.
And now both those players who were involved in that first half incident are now in the book for a second.
So both on a yellow now.
But maybe he's gotten his revenge against Jonjo Kenny, who kind of kicked the inside of his ankle earlier.
So now he's trod on his foot and they can call it even.
Throw comes in from Shaka but Caligiuri not able to bring it under control.
Young summer, taking his time with this goal.
Kick one down the left hand side initially by tour, um, and then headed back towards the top.
Real Ebola can't win it, and now I shall go on the counter.
It was, well, one often by Herrmann, and it will go out for a throw liner.
Watch that one out, Shaka Well and truly on top now.
Oh, chick with across into the center.
But event ableto calmly collect that in the box and dribble away with it.
Plays it out wide towards tour on.
But Haram can't control it.
Him and Kenny battling again, and then the throw goes shock his way. It's a free kick.
Actually, the Shaka Kenny goes back to Kobach, and now, all the way back to Schubert.
Schubert slipped as he hit the goal kick Butt still got plenty of distance on it.
Win it in the air, though, and Herrmann, in the center of the park foul there, shut the one, uh, who fouled chairman in the ER in the center of the park.
It'll give Glide back a little bit of an attacking free kick Here they take it short because that white for ven and they're gonna ought to just try to hold some possession here.
Can't really blame for that.
And now I felt given Gladbach as Shell kind of ran away with the boat was Ah, it was a weird coming together to Rahm and Caligiuri just just caught the big French attacker in It is a foul taking quickly.
Oh, and they worked it out almost perfectly from Mascius cancer to end up on the end of that.
What a chance for Gladbach.
Really clever free kick it was.
He made a deep run out of the back and nearly caught out the entire Shaka defense.
There he was on side as well, but the ball was just out of his grasp.
Is air out of his out of his reach is he tried to slide in and apply the finish, but now shall get the other end.
Has to be headed behind by liner and it's a corner for Shaka.
Don't know that he knew too much about it.
Summer was rooted to the spot.
Some some claims of handball may be in there, but it e.
I don't think it strikes his hand.
His hand was just raised, but no, it doesn't strike his hand.
I think the shock of fans were appealing for it behind the goal.
But Cal a jury with another chance to deliver from a corner here into the center, headed away by Ginter, chest it down by Romano and then back into the area but headed away by Gladbach.
And now maybe a chance on the counter.
Can they get it right? Note. They get it.
They get it wrong Now.
Greg Aurich going back the other way for Shaka just eased off the ball, thereby vent.
And then it's cleared.
Long Kenny chess it down Mass.
Carell back to nest, aas it and then across to a CIPA played down the line.
But Serdar never likely to get to that one and summer ableto lay it off And now Gladbach back in possession.
But it is shockers half so far in the opening opening.
10 minutes of the half longball over the top can play.
I get there and hold this in.
The answer is yes.
And it was m below, actually, but go kick tried to win the corner there, but the Swiss international not able Thio.
He doesn't get the ball.
One high up the field by Gladbach tried to slide it through for Herrmann but shall cable to win it back.
And now they're space again for Serdar.
Can you get the past right? Roman is onside.
He rolls it across his Caligiuri.
The counter from Shell CA proves deadly.
And it was Greg Aurich coming in from the right hand side on his debut to apply the finish to nothing Shaka deadly on the counter.
The space was there is they want it back in.
It fell kindly, but the turn in midfield and then the past to Serdar was good.
They tried to play the offside trap, but Ginter was the only one who played it, the the initial ball to remand.
And then he laid it across on a plate For Gregorio Chu, making his debut on loan from Augsburg, could make no mistake.
The only question is, was Ramana onside in the build up? It's a tight decision.
It looks like he was on and Greg Aurich and the rest of the shock, a team able to celebrate a two goal lead as a goal does stand.
What a good finish from Greg Orishas well shall get after wasting a few opportunities in the first half.
Have turned on the style in the second and are doing a bang up job of finishing their chances.
Now a big first sub for, uh for Birthday and Munchengladbach and Marco Rose as he tries to change things up.
It's Herrmann is off and Florian Noi house coming on another win.
High up the field for Shaka Grigor.
Tight angle straight into the arms of yon summer.
We played an hour two nil.
Shall Khalid's in the Veltins Arena at home in Gilson Kirk in Shaka.
A good challenge there by Zakaria to win it back.
For Gladbach, that was another dangerous moment, Shaka threatening to get in every time they get forward.
But Gladbach, now on the ball and they'll have to find something quickly if they want to get back into this.
They looked for a one to between player and real m below, but Mbulelo sticking with it, applying the pressure and a chip somehow able to get it clear, and it falls kindly again for remind and Benito Romano able to come away with it for Shaka, against all odds, really there all of the bounces going shock his way at the moment.
And indeed the scoreline reflects it to nothing.
This would be a debt Thio, Munchengladbach ce title hopes.
And indeed they want to stay in the Champions League race as well.
They're well positioned for it, but they don't want to let that slip.
Gladbach trying to calm themselves down is this Ball played forward, Haram and it was the substitute Noi House and Stephan liner out there on the right hand side.
It's a throw for Gladbach.
Shaka, win it back in the corner.
Moscow Terrell up top for Ammand.
Was there a foul there? Likely.
Waas is at the other end God back hasn't heard the whistle go.
It looked a foul as Ah yeah, uh, just caught, but need to remind their near midfield So will be a shock of free kick shall come making their first change of the game or No, never mind.
Serdar was over to grab a drink of water and I thought I thought someone was standing near the manager to get the ah Thio near the fourth official to get the board up, but Shaka not changing anything yet.
They, uh, they're cruising it to nothing as it stands, Grigoris bringing that ball down on the edge of Gladbach's penalty area.
The mask corralled ship back over the top.
Kenny made a overlapping run, but as we take another look at the shock, a counter attack, it was just the shoulder of the shoulder of Janka, who didn't step up with Ginter.
When Ginter tried to play the offside, they got it wrong, and the run was time that tow absolute perfection.
And now a little bit of, Ah, coming together there between oh Chip Ca and to Rahm from just with his arms around.
Oh, Chip, Go and oh, Chip Ca had his arms around equally around to Rome, so you can see why the Frenchman would plead his innocence there.
But the free kick did go shock his way.
Noah remember, Theron is in the book also, so he probably won't have too many more opportunities from the referee before a second's produced.
Luckily is in this factory won't be in too many yellow card.
Were these situations you wouldn't hope.
Shaka Just keeping Just keeping Gladbach at arm's length.
Shaka attacking again.
Stared are central to things, but Zakaria wins it back, but Roman wins it back off him and then try to touch around the corner.
But and the end product is a goal kick for Gladbach Zakaria bringing this out from the back into the center of the field liner.
Was he able Thio? Get there, shall cable to come away with it.
Show dispossess, though, and Noid House rules that out wide for vent time is the enemy for Gladbach play of receiving the ball in the center of the park.
But no, no real assistance around him, and he gives it away.
Serdar fouled there in the center, play A.
The offender just brought sir down Serdar providing Cem good dribbling ability in the center of the field toe, in addition to a lovely goal and and his role in the counter counterattack.
He's also very good in possession, and he's done well.
Toe maintain possession for, ah, for Shaka and in a lot of situations, this time as a free kick came in the offside flag up against Greg Aurich, the other goal scorer.
Well, nothing like a goal on your debut.
To really get fans on side with the signing.
Who knows? He may be auditioning for a permanent spot.
Cross comes in from the right hand side liner, the decent crossing for Gladbach and then a foul, Serdar fouling Ginter and a little bit of, Ah, a little bit of a sly move there from the 25 year old German 29 caps for his country Freiburg youth products but joined from one barista to the other.
Versi, a doorman to burst and Munchengladbach.
But this is a dangerous free kick for Gladbach to deliver, and it's a good ball, and it saved by Schubert.
Well, the header was straight out. I'm either side.
He reacted just quickly enough to catch it, but Andi May may have just been offside.
It may have been shocked, and the flag did go up in the end so it wouldn't have counted what a ball in that was, though.
And now sh Elka playing out from the back and then going long Grigor itch.
Getting the flick on, Roman chasing this one with Ginter and Yonica invent ableto only able to get it clear.
Back to Shaka Kenny Shaka still in the ascendancy.
They've been the better team tonight.
On the whole, Caligiuri almost gave it away.
Squeezes it through for Gore.
Itch Zakaria trying to clear and eventually Gladbach.
Get ahold of it and vent ableto boot it long but M below.
Not able to get there.
Shaka straight back the other way.
Run. That was from Ka Beck.
And it looks like Shaka making it their first change of the game.
Benito Romano off the striker off to a standing ovation from the Veltins Arena.
And it's number 15 to chew Ahmed Katou Chu, who comes on in his in his stead, just adding some fresh legs in attack.
But it is a like for like change, I think, just recognizing that Roman probably ran himself into the ground, pressing with that intensity for just just shy of 70 minutes.
Shaka maintaining possession CA to choose first touch since entering.
Not his best, but he does win a throw for Shaka in in attacking area.
It's been a professional performance from Shaka tonight, but Gladbach must be thinking, you know what what might have been, um, if they took the two.
The two real chances they had in the first half.
There's Alexander Knuble, the suspended shock, a keeper four games Thio to serve for that now.
Gladbach breaking two rum out wide for event patrolling that left hand side players come deep to receive the ball, and now it's across the Hoffman Noite house.
Theron from distance in a safe from Schubert.
When he got this, Molly knew exactly what he was doing.
You cut across it and it took market Schubert at full stretch to get his fingertips to that one.
It was a rocket, but it is a corner for Gladbach into the center.
And the header came from Alison Player.
But it went over the bar.
Did not get the height on the, uh on the jump.
Well, Brill, eh? Below has run his race for the day.
Lars Stindl coming on.
Lars, Uh, I think fitting the mold of a more traditional striker for Gladbach.
And he's straight into the action as he presses Kobach Long ball.
I could shoot you able to bring it down for Shaka.
And then a foot race was on.
But Zakaria watches it into touch for a Gladbach.
Throw Stephan liner back to summer and then around the mid field a little bit before they're trying to advance to play a who had dropped deep computers back.
He'll a very nice idea, but cut out in the end by Noise House and Gladbach breaking here.
Chance for liner to put across.
And it will come for Stindl, and he cuts it back towards towards player Stindl in there.
Still, it's not gotten away.
Ginter gets air, tried to strike it from the edge of the area, but it he got his foot caught underneath him and almost kind of stumbled Gladbach with it.
Probably one of their best chances of the game.
And it says pretty much all that.
All that you need about about this game so far that they're better.
Chances are not shots, and really, they've relied on shots from distance to generate those shots.
So maybe a little bit of overplaying from go back that shot from distance struck a shark, A player on the edge of the area, Kalmbach, the one getting in the way of it.
Gladbach coming back, though Liner plays it through but cleared away.
And that was Mr Passage now Zakaria Shaka readying a sub, a long ball out to the left flank for Oscar vent for Gladbach and then played off of kah to chew.
And another Gladbach throw.
Not seen Boola, the one who is being introduced.
Suitt Serdar, who was so influential on both goals, scoring the first and then making the past.
That set up the second central to everything that Shaka did in the center of midfield.
And the goal, just a thing of beauty.
Had plenty of space picked.
This spot hit it.
Fantastic finish from the central midfielder, the minds product.
Just 22 years old.
Sewage, Studer, Sardar and now not seen Gulab introduced, introduced to proceedings just again a David Wagner sub to freshen things up and keep the energy in this team.
Gladbach playing down the right hand flight.
Nice little interchange, but Haram couldn't find the return pass, but confusion has given the ball away in midfield.
And then, Oh, and then the ball strikes the referee, so it'll be a It'll be a dropped ball.
He tried trying his best to get out of the way, but it does start as a dropped ball for Shell ca The new guidelines for when a ball strikes the referee.
It used to be just play carried on.
But now it play restarts.
So a little bit of ah, sore one in the middle there and it'll be a a booking large Stindl the one on the wrong end of that and ah Kobach.
Just ah, going through the ball and catching with the studs Ball chipped in for Gladbach.
A few people interested.
Poor clearance and then a handball in there by two rum.
He's actually fouled.
Schubert, they say, just pushed off a little bit.
Schubert able to take the free kick 76 minutes played.
This is It's still too nothing, shall Khalid.
They've been sharp shock, oppressing high and winning the ball, winning the ball back again.
But Shipka could to chew.
The substitute ran out of space on the side there and then the throw go shell Causeway liner thought Stephan liner thought that they had won the free kick but Chip ca for shelter will take the throw.
Oh chip with a chance to maybe deliver across in, cleared away by Gladbach but held in Come back out for Kala jury, and then Kenny played it down the line looking for the run of Shuff.
But it's out of play for a glove box. Throw.
Not much time for Gladbach to turn this one around.
David Wagner will be pleased Things stay.
Things stay this way.
Um, then we're looking at a Shaka would move into fourth place with a game one more game played over Brucie adornment.
Gladbach would stay second for the time being, but Bayern Munich would Ah have a chance in their next match to overtake Gladbach in the second. Now.
Ah, a little bit of a coming together and shut up.
Alessandra should've shown a yellow card for a little coming together.
They're the Byron Youth products, 25 year old Austrian and just the one goal for Alessandro Stroke.
Just the one goal and it came in the Deaf Bay Pokal the German Cup bull**** into the center there.
But Gladbach kind of get their wires crossed shock able to bring it away.
Greg Greg Aurich turning away from the attentions of Oscar Ven and a foul gorge fouled and shell kava free kick, and they've done a good job of limiting glad box chances so far.
Still time, certainly, but longball over the top.
Ca Choo Choo trying to chase this one and goal kick the decision and Gladbach, getting re started quickly played down the line.
Bye liner to rob.
Liner chasing this one.
Liners got to Rahman.
Finds him Theron with across to the back post.
Stindl was running in, and Oscar Vent was there as well.
Now could chew Chew decent touch and Janka Looks like he'll go in the book for Tony and check out the 29 year old center back.
Consider Chew and took one for the team.
Tony and Shikha, eh? A Gladbach Youth product.
A fixture at the club longball over the top for Shell ca Flick down by Greg Orange. Ca Choo choo.
That was a nice little interchange, but Gladbach just about equal to it.
Shipka Ball one back.
It was Blue, you lab, the substitute who gave the ball way initially and now a throw for throw for Munchengladbach.
Less than 10 minutes of regular time Thio rescue.
This one for the second place team in the Bundesliga.
Is Haram sent tumbling there.
Oh, Chip! Huh? Just barging through the back of him fast.
You know, Chip A Gladbach native but playing, plying his trade for Shaka Well played in field by Gladbach and they couldn't find the target.
And now shall ca able to boot it clear Ca choo choo Interested in this one and looks like he'll get there first.
Zakaria tried to bring him down, Confuse you cut it back! And it was put behind by Yang Ska, who grabs the back of his hand strained hamstring as he Ah as he cleared that one, A little bit of a cramp setting in for Tony and Erika, Corner to Shaka Kala jury over this towards the near post.
It nearly fell to confuse you.
But ah, handball given against Kobach just struck his hand right in the center as it fell to him.
Kind of unexpectedly for the Turkish, the Turkish center back Ginter.
It's a liner tour on noise house.
What a movie! It was a good shot with the left foot.
What a move from noise houses.
Well, to go past a couple of Shaka defenders, but it was blocked.
Then the header comes back in player just nudging, just nudging.
Ah boo! You love off the ball But Shel ca in possession.
Caligiuri Chip trying to chip it through for continue to chase Zakaria Ca Choo Choo wins the initial challenge.
Zakaria, trying to hold off, could teach you.
Was he fouled there? Could use you suit.
You getting a little talking to from the referee or maybe talking to his assistant? No, it's actually he's more concerned.
Tony Esca is doesn't look able to continue here.
He's, Ah, struggling with the hamstring to be a Strobel coming on for Munchengladbach for the injured Tony and Tia.
Not sure if it's just, you know, hopefully for him, it's just cramps, but he's struggling to run freely with that hamstring.
And so Gladbach forced into their last change.
Gladbach will need a miracle at this point. Two.
Sal***e a point just five minutes remaining in regular time.
Ginter into the centre flick through Stindl.
Maybe on the end of this one comes back out.
The liner liner cross to the far post event Interested Shaka, Do you get there? Ven ableto get it back? Laubach not giving up the ghost quite yet.
All I want for liner who's playing very attacking now.
Some good dribbling there from Marcus to Rome.
Was he fouled on the edge of the area? No and shock able to get it clear again.
But it is all hands on deck defensively for Shaka.
You've done well so far to limit the chances, and it's actually it's interesting to see Zakaria really drop as the deepest Gladbach player to mop up any long balls over the top.
But it really is a threat.
They're throwing everything forward.
Stindl Ginter Ginter is running into space chips into the far post for vent, and it just got a flick.
Kala jury coming back in puts it out for a Gladbach throw still frantic despite the fact of the two goal lead for Shaka.
Anything can happen.
There won't be a ton of added time at the end of this.
Can't imagine there will be much that weren't low to stoppages in the in the second half.
Maybe three maybe does three minutes.
Could you could even be too liner getting to the byline, cuts it back.
Shot comes in, blocked in front and then eventually shock.
Able to get it clear.
Good ball over the top, looking for Ca choo choo.
But it was just a little long and into the hands of summer event.
Annoyed House, appealing as he had is a shirt pulled in the middle there, Stindl liner cleared away but shot from distance and then kind of sliced clear, held in by Gladbach, kept in by player Hoffman back to Ginter, you know, go all the way around the back line.
Maybe the tempo just not high enough in attacking areas for Gladbach today haven't created the chances you'd expect from the quality of attacking players that they have is Ginter continued, his run down the right hand side.
Cross comes in, just abated.
The Gladbach bodies in the centre Noi house recovers and gets it back.
No house cutting in field and then just brushed off the ball too easily.
But Caligiuri dispossessed in kind and just look how deep House on player is coming to get the ball practically to midfield.
His liner puts another cross in player, and he just completely miss miss kicks it.
And now good George coming away for Shaka and foul given shock his way.
The last change of the match Guido Birch dollar is coming on for Michael Grigoris.
The 25 year old Austrian comes off the Rockets applause.
Quite the debut for the man on loan from Augsburg.
Wagner could have hoped for much better bringing him in.
And Guido Birch Dollar comes on the last bit of time.
Whittling away off of the clock long ball forward by Shaka.
They're gonna try toe, put it in the corner, one in the air by Gladbach and then.
Do you get it back? Four minutes.
Ball forward here for Shaka.
Kala jury was in space on the edge of the area.
Just couldn't hit it.
First time opted toe hold onto the ball, but the added time is four minutes and then played off of birds.
Dollar the substitute.
Well, it came off Zakaria last.
We are into the added time, almost almost done, with the first added minute of of the guaranteed four, taking it to the corner here and out for a Gladbach throw.
Caligiuri not happy with that Shaka fans reveling in what is almost certainly a three point performance against the team that with the wind could have gone top of the Bundesliga, at least for the time being.
And now it looks like they may actually dropped.
They could possibly drop all the way to the third by the end of the match day and then large Stindl involved in Ah, coming together here.
It was, Ah, challenging for the ball.
Didn't hear the first whistle, but the referee, now with uh, conversation with Stindl and he's giving him a yellow some handbags here at the end of the match.
A little bit of tough.
Yeah, there's nothing in it because I mean, hey, he went to go kick the ball.
He went to go kick the ball.
The guy had put his foot in front of them.
It's It is what it is.
But this game is long over.
It's just a matter of time.
Just a minute and 1/2 left Shaka back on the ball and Shaka sending, sending out a warning across the Bundesliga as they start the winter break in the best possible style.
We'll need toe find answers.
Thio get their potential Bundesliga title challenge back on track, but indeed, to stay on track for the Champions League.
Places sold short there.
Could there be a cherry on top of the sundae for Shaka? The tracking back by Matthias Ginter made sure that Ca Choo Choo was not able to get in to.
Rahm tried to play down the line.
It's out for a Gladbach throw, but only about 20 seconds remaining in this one, the referee will be looking at his whistle, looking at his watch.
This is just about it.
Last ball into the box for Gladbach headed away and the referee has blown his whistle.
Shaka celebrate the return of the Bundesliga with a win.
Marcus Schubert, the 21 year old keeper in for the suspended Allesandro Knuble clean sheet for the youngster who joined Shaka from Dresden in the off season.
A two Nothing win for Shaka, upsetting the apple cart, as I say, Um, but what A performance from Shaka and David Wagner's team, too, play without some of their best by a mean hurry is a high profile player that they are without.
They bring in Michael Grigor itch, but it was the quality of the first goal was all down to sue at Serdar Um, the finish from Serdar was brilliant and then Greg Aurich had a simple job after Serdar started the move, Played it through to Benito Roman.
And, uh, he found he found Grigor itch as he ran in.
And, uh so Grigor itch with the goal on his debut for Shaka Great performance all around from Shaka Gladbach had a few chances and just couldn't quite just couldn't quite make their quality show.
They didn't create enough quality chances and they didn't take the few chances that they did have.
So it is a It is a great win for Shaka.
They are going away with the three points, and as it stands, they sit fourth in the Bundesliga.
Ah, and they'll await the They will await the results.
Dorfman, uh, play this weekend and, ah, the await that result to see if they can remain fourth.
Um, but Gladbach, on the other hand, we'll be looking at the fact that they sit second.
There's still two points behind Red Bull, but RV, Leipzig now have a game in hand, as do Bayern Munich Environment IQ just two points behind Munchengladbach.
So conceivably by the end of it, they could be five points off the off the top spot and they could drop all the way to third.
So disappointing night for Brucie and Munchengladbach.
Shaka, though, will be thrilled with their performance it at home in front of their fans.
And in the end, it is a solid two. Nothing win.
I hope you guys enjoyed Ah enjoyed that broadcast.
I'm sure if you, uh if you're a neutral Sure, it was fun.
If you are a Gladbach fan, I apologize and shouts out Thio Mika, Um, because it's, um yeah, because it's her German team.
