Every single day.
Follow me on Twitter and Instagram at DP An underscore rake is here a dp and we like football.
We like football season and everything that goes with it.
Talk about my lineup for tonight.
We're going to talk about where does Tom Brady rank amongst the rest of the free agents in the NFL? We're gonna look at an arrest warrant that was issued for Odell Beckham Jr and the most ridiculous of fashions.
The Cincinnati Bengals seem very content that they're ready to sign Joe Burrows.
He checks off a lot of those boxes as a quarterback prospect, and Drew Rosenhaus is done with Antonio Brown until Antonio Brown can get him self some help.
And then, of course, I'm going to record my to YouTube videos for two more to YouTube videos for tomorrow.
And as live viewers, a SportsCastr, you get tow, watch those videos here now and ah, yeah, just get to chill out and be like that, man, I'm gonna be talking about grading.
Well, maybe I'm gonna be grading the Patriots 2019 draft class, and I'm gonna talk about the top five Patriots draft picks in the Bill Belichick era.
But before we get to show up and going up and started, I want to do a little bit of a sports blitz here, really talking about the stories that caught my attention today.
The 1st 1 is as this Houston Astros scandal continues to build on pile.
Reports are now coming out that Jose Altuve A and Alex Bregman war buzzers when they were at home in Houston, basically being what their video guy buzzing them and tipping them on what pitch was coming.
So they knew exactly what the hit.
And then that video came out today about to ve today, when he hit the walkoff homer against the Yankees to go onto the world Siris.
And he's grabbing his shirt, instructing, You just hit a home run and the only thing you can think of is Don't tear my shirt off.
Don't tear my shirt off.
Well, turns out, at least speculatively.
He had a buzzer underneath that shirt.
Now it's New England Patriot fans.
We know all about cheating scandals of being accused of being cheaters.
So we always gotta be just a little bit cautious about what we say.
Sad news today, A Canadian, a wrestling legend.
The father of a bigger wrestling legend, Rocky Johnson, passed away today at the age of 75.
Of course, he is the father of Dwayne the Rock.
Johnson was married to the daughter of the high chief Peter Maya via long lineage and wrestling, especially in professional wrestling, and him and Tony Alice were the first African American tag team to win the championship.
So the condolences goes out to the Johnson and Maya via family.
We're finally gonna be able to see the debut of Zion Williams.
And I know this news came out yesterday, but I didn't talk about it.
January 22nd The Pelicans first arounder, who was hurt in the preseason, will be making his M B a debut.
I'm really nervous that this kid is just gonna be an injury issue going forward, but I think guys like him are better for the game, just like stars and football stars in the M B A.
The bigger the star, the better it is for the game.
Is I r? Coming back on January 22nd is good for the National Basketball Association as the Astros cheating scandal continues to leak and tweak and get into every other place.
The Mets manager Carlos Beltran, has stepped down from his duties as manager today.
The Mets, at the time of the hiring that they did not know about the Astros cheating scandal, and it was a mutual decision, a part ways as we know Boston, the Astros part away with their manager, Boston Part Barda ways with There's the Mats, partying with theirs, he's won or how deep this goes.
Now there's these rumors that Mike Trout has been using H G h just getting crazy, but I know you're not here to talk about baseball here to talk about football.
That was the sports plates I and they announced today because I guess we care.
Demi Lovato will be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.
I never really care about the national anthem, nor do I care about the halftime show.
I care about all the stuff in between the actual game.
I'm not really into the fanfare.
I'm not really into the spectacle arm or into the game in the celebration after, um, and this year just being in the game and won't care.
Two squirts of **** about the celebration after, because the Patriots aren't in it.
But I hope to see a good football game, and I hope if everything goes the way I want it, it's gonna be the San Francisco 40 Niners versus the Tennessee Titans because my worst and I mean my worst nightmare is that the Patriots hat or that I have to watch the way the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Green Bay Packers.
But let's jump into the show now today.
Thank you so much for tuning in to this video s.
So I picked up four news articles short ones today that I thought I really wanted to talk about.
The 1st 1 comes and it's called.
How low does Tom Brady rank is an NFL free agent options? So here's what the article said, and then I'll give you my opinion on it.
His NFL free agency is still two months away, but with Hall of Fame talents like Tom Brady and Drew Brees set to hit the open market, the buildup is very much underway.
As such, NFL dot com put together its list of the top 25 free agents.
And, well, let's just say there is plenty of room for debate.
NFL dot com puts Cowboys pastor Dak Prescott atop the quarterback heavy rankings, with Breeze and Brady coming in at number eight and number nine, respectively.
That's behind Titans rehab project Ryan Tannehill.
This year's free agency crop is wider, deeper, more star studded and far tougher to rank than any in memory, NFL dot com writes.
How can you really assess the relative value of of two all time great quarterbacks winding down their respective careers versus, say, Broncos safety Justine Simons, Drew Brees and Tom Brady don't fit on every team or many at all.
They certainly aren't long term solutions.
And if they were to leave their current teams something that's far more feasible at this point with Brady, it would have to be the right fit.
Then again, that's true of all the intriguing free agent quarterbacks like Ryan Tannehill, James Winston and Philip Rivers.
Every one of these quarterbacks will be paid well because even a league average starting signal caller is ultimately worth more than quality starters.
At other positions in regards to Brady in particular NFL dot com writes, Pff had Brady as the 11th ranked quarterback in 2019 which feels about right despite what some rough for conventional numbers might suggest.
Does he really want to start in a new system in a new city at the age of 43 on Lee Brady can answer that question.
Sure, Brady is 42 coming off a down year, but is he really worthy of being ranked below Tannehill to some, apparently so elsewhere.
Patriots left guard Joe Tooni came in at number 13 on the NFL dot com list, while New England safety Devin McCourty gets an honorable mention.
All right, where do I even start with this nonsense? In what world? In what crazy, ridiculous existence is Ryan Tannehill rated above Tom Freakin Brady? And I know that this is going to sound just like a Patriots fan kissing Brady's ass, trying to defend Brady.
And you know, there's other quarterbacks in a better blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Listen, when Kansas City Chiefs fans want to argue with me about Patrick Mahomes in Baltimore, fans want argues me about Lamar Jackson when you want to argue with me about Aaron Rodgers, at least those air somewhat legitimate arguments.
I mean, it's never gonna be the Packer argument a little bit stupid, because Packer fans believe that Aaron Rodgers is the greatest of all time.
Obviously, Aaron Rodgers is not the greatest quarterback of all time.
He might be a really good quarterback.
He could be from a talent perspective, one of the best of all time.
But greatness comes with winning greatness comes with championships.
And, yes, it's a team game.
But trust me, a lot of that has to do with Tom Brady.
But here's what I say about this.
Ryan Tannehill has put up like 71 yards and 81 yards in the playoffs, respectively.
The Titans are where they are because of unbelievable defense and King Henry running the ball like a freak of nature.
In what world? In what world? There's a team.
Look at Ryan Tannehill and think, ****, that's the answer.
That's the one who's gonna bring us to the Promised Land.
And if you want to compare that, he's better.
The Marcus Mariota While you've gone extremely wrong, because it's an absolute ridiculous premise, and I can't believe that people actually put Ryan 10 and they didn't put Tom Brady behind Ryan Panel, they put Drew Brees behind Ryan Tannehill.
You're talking two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play this game.
You're talking the last of what could have been the greatest quarterback era in the history of the NFL, and you're gonna put Ryan Tannehill, who has two career playoff victories because of his running back to career playoff victories, where he threw 14 passes in their last win.
That's the guy who teams they're gonna look at over Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
And if he is more valuable than Tom Brady and Drew Brees, does that mean that Ryan Tannehill is gonna make more money next season? Like, I really want people who think about this stuff who think about what the value of the NFL is, put that all into perspective.
I haven't seen the whole list of who's 1 to 10 but I've probably been harder on Tom Brady then.
I have been my entire time of the Patriots fan this season.
Um, I've taken the ire of Patriot fans of times because I refuse just to blame the receiving corps.
I believe that Tom Brady was a part of the offensive struggles that they had this season.
He was still playing like a top 10 Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is not playing like a top 10.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is playing like a guy who has the best, the best running back in the NFL.
I'm not gonna spend all day harping on this and saying the same thing over and over again.
But I cannot believe the amount of disrespect that Tom Brady gets from opposing fan bases gets from the media held when he started to get from Patriot fans.
You know what? I was talking about this last week.
I'm starting to see a big difference between Patriot fans and Tom Brady fans.
And there's this big divide.
I think it's okay to be a fan of both, but I already said Tom Brady decides he's gonna move on.
I'm done with Tom Brady.
I thank you for everything you've done for the organization.
Thank you for everything you've done as a champion, but I cheer for Patriots players.
I'm not sure for Jimmy Garoppolo, I'm not sure.
And for Jim, for Mike Vrabel.
I'll cheer for them now because the Patriots aren't in.
It belongs the patrons of playing football.
I'm not sure it for anybody but the Patriots, but I've seen people on my YouTube page and on Patriots global YouTube page, starting with Tom Brady. He's a bum.
Get rid of them, start young.
I'm watching people actually believing that Andy Dalton would have an opportunity to bring the Patriots to a Super Bowl.
Andy Dalton and NFL is gonna come out and say, Ryan Tannehill is more valuable and more of a commodity, and he's gonna be, Ah, harder free agent and Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
Are you out of your friggin mind? What the hell is wrong with football media? It just it blows my mind.
It blows my mind, the amount of disrespect that they give some players to guy like Odell Beckham Jr.
Who we're gonna talk about tonight.
The media just waits to rip into shreds.
They'll gush over somebody like Tyreek Hill, who shouldn't be playing football this season.
No gush all over him, But they'll just wait for Odell Beckham Jr.
Who's never hurt anybody but himself.
He hasn't hit Children.
There's no domestic violence with him.
Let's go right to the story.
Odell Beckham Jr Arrest warrant issued for slapping officers, but post L s u win New Orleans police were granted an arrest warrant for Order Odell Beckham Jr over an accusation of a simple battery after he slapped the buttocks oven officer following l s use national championship victory over Clemson.
A police spokesperson told Raymond Antonio Vargas and Charter and Carly Wells of Nola dot com that the police sought charges after video surfaced of the incident on social media.
In the video, Beckham has shown slapping the officer and saying, Get the ghat repeatedly.
Court records show that the lieutenant said he resisted the urge to punch Beckham in retaliation, said Vargas.
The Browns also released a statement on the situation.
The officer appeared to speak to Beckham, but his words could not be heard in the video, Wells and Marcus reported.
Police originally sought a warrant of misdemeanor ***ual battery charge, but it was declined.
Simple battery is a misdemeanor crime that carries six months up to six months in jail and a fine of $1000.
The major difference between the two charges that ***ual battery cannot be expunged, whereas simple battery can.
Beckham's postgame antics drew national headlines when he gave several Ellis you players wides of cash on the field after the Tigers 42 to 25 victory, The Cleveland Brown star played at L S U from 11 2020 13 before being taken by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft.
Michael Cadogan of ale dot com reported Tuesday that l S U players were told they would be arrested for smoking cigars in the locker room.
During the celebrations, no players were arrested and social media video showed players continued to smoke despite warnings.
Another officer repeatedly gave the players approval to smoke.
You know what? Why are the police in the dressing room anyways? And if you're a cop, I apologize If I offend you here and I'm not an anti police person, I'm not a pro police person.
I believe there's good police.
I believe there's bad police.
I believe that everybody's there.
But what? You're gonna walk in the dress room and say you're gonna be arrested if you smoke a cigar in the dressing room after winning the national championship? And you very well know.
And if you watch the video, you can see this old ass Louisiana New Orleans officer given an L S U player a hard time, you can see the bitter Krusty bull**** on his face and you can see him giving him a hard time.
That's what Odell Beckham slaps him in the ass.
You know what? If I'm l s u If I'm all these players I'm saying Just get the god of our dressing room.
We don't want you here.
We don't want you a part of this little circle.
This reminds me of like the Messiah.
A giri incident after the Raptor won the championship and they wouldn't let him onto the court like one of the cops doing getting involved in sporting events.
Do you have to interject yourself so much? You have to be a part of every part of everyday life.
Sports is that one moment when I don't want to think about politics, but I don't want to think about police when I don't want to think about brutality, but I don't want to think about any of that ****, and it just seems now.
But that's two championships now in a row, the N B A championship and then the national championship for the Double A football.
That there's a police incident after a team wins a championship and there and they blame Messiah Jiri for in Toronto.
And they blamed Odell Beckham Jr in New Orleans and yeah, Beckham slapped him in the ass.
He slapped him in the ass.
What? This This old ass man thought that Beckham was ***ually harassing them.
They wanted to put a ***ual misdemeanor on.
Are you kidding me? Like.
And the thing is, if any other player would have done this if Gronk would have done this, the media, the fans, they would have stood up because it's Beckham, though.
They're calling him an ******* calling him and the cop is an *******, and I don't care who they're charging.
I'm keeping Odo back. Come out of this.
And I'm not sitting here saying after police and I'm not telling you to get a any opinion about the cops.
I'm telling you right now, that particular old ass Krusty cop was in there given L S U players, the business after they won the national championship.
And now because of it, Odo back home is being charged.
I cannot believe that this is a thing, and it drives me absolutely, positively crazy.
And I know if you're not a Beckham fan, you're sitting there going whatever.
And you know what? What about back home? Could very much be a patriot.
It could very well be a patriot next season.
And Roger Goodell better not do anything more than Seo Del.
Don't do that again, because if he could suspend it over the ship, probably the same cop marching in a parade when New Orleans got screwed over, it's absolutely ridiculous.
Keep the police out of the dressing room, stand in front of the dressing room, the dressing room, the locker room.
It's a sanctuary, and only you should be invited in that room.
And the way that ******* was acting that room, you could tell he wasn't invited.
He made his presence known in that locker room.
Those young men worked their ass off to go to school, to make the team to be recruited, practice, play a long season.
Well, balance and studies to goto a national championship game.
And a prick like this is gonna walk in the room and try to ruin it for those kids.
You don't earn the right to walk into that room.
Just because you have a badge doesn't earn you right to walk in anywhere you want to go.
And if I'm ****ysis you personnel, I'm saying, Get the hell out of here.
Odell, who played for Alice You, who put in the work is welcome in the dressing room you are not.
This was supposed to be a fluff funny piece for me, but you got me all fired up, man.
And again, this has nothing to do with the police.
This has nothing to do with any cop, but that prick right there.
Anyways, O'Dell has a warrant on him. Now.
He's gonna have to turn himself in at some point, probably won't have to go in.
His lawyer will probably turn him in over the phone, and then they'll set a court date for We'll talk a little bit more about LSD, though it's a perfect transition to talk about Joe Burrow and the article that I read says Bengals Joe Borough checks off a lot of boxes as quarterback prospect.
The Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock for the 2020 NFL draft, and they like what they see from the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.
The Bengals hold the number one pick.
We'll also be coaching at the upcoming Senior Bowl.
While preparing for the Prospect Game, multiple members of Zack Tyler staff Taylor staff offered glowing reviews of L s use quarterback Joe Burrow quote.
He's definitely checks off a lot of boxes Early on the evaluation process.
Quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt set a burro via Bengals team writer Jeff Hobson.
He obviously looks like a very intriguing guy.
It's not yet known whether Burrow will participate in the soup in the Senior Bowl.
Pastor is seen as the premier offensive prospect in the draft class, and he'll likely be linked to Cincinnati through that process.
He's got natural pocket field.
He feels it, Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said.
It seems like he never takes his eyes off down the field.
He extends the play really, really well.
He's a lot faster than you assume when you see him running from all those SEC guys.
He's got incredible upfield accuracy.
The ball hardly ever hits the ground in a game, which is rare.
He just naturally puts the ball in places where those guys can make plays.
After finishing with a two and 14 record in 2019 the Bengals are searching for their quarterback of the future.
Andy Dalton has been the starter since they being drafted in 2011 but his level of play has declined in recent years.
Joe Burrow is a great story.
I mean, he was, what, a two star recruit and then he really went.
He was a mediocre quarterback at best.
He was a mediocre quarterback, But also he comes out this year.
Heisman Trophy winner, national champion.
More than likely going to be the number one draft pick in the NFL.
Drowning go play in Cincinnati.
But who is this? Well, men? No, Don't forget, this is a kid that you didn't start with. L s u Man.
For the 1st 2 years of his career, he was down in OS You isn't always you, boy, the Ohio State University.
He was never getting an opportunity to play.
I think he had, like, 11 attempts in 2000.
17 year like 28 2016.
Last serious, Like a 28 100 yard year.
Those five interceptions back. He looks okay.
Hey, comes out this year. Man.
405 completions. 76.3%.
60 touchdowns, six interceptions.
When your touchdown interception ratio was 60 to 62 okay, the 202 r r t g.
I mean, he really I mean Then he added, like another like 370 yards rushing on top of it.
I think he's got five rushing touchdowns.
He has 65 touchdowns in total this season.
Kid even caught a ball trick play for 16 yards.
You know what, man? It's You got to give it to the kid.
He really wasn't nobody.
He really was just a guy.
And here he is now, man, I'm gonna be the first overall pick to be stuck playing in and Cleveland Bar in Cincinnati.
But good for him.
Last story before I get into my Patriots YouTube video that you get to watch live ihsaa Drew Rosenhaus done as Antonio Brown's agent until wide receivers seeks help.
Drew Rosenhaus is done with Antonio Brown, at least until he gets some help.
The high powered NFL agent terminated his relationship with Brown, ESPN Adam Schefter reported Thursday, citing an n f L. P A source.
Rosenhaus, according to Schefter and form the N F L P A through a letter it received Thursday Per Shifters report.
Rosenhaus believes that Brown needs help for his ongoing issues as the former All Pro wide oh remains out of football.
Schefter also reported Brown's attorney, Darren Hunter, removed himself as counsel.
Since being released by the Patriots in September, Brown's off field behavior has been puzzling at best and almost always at least bordering bordering on troubling.
Most recently, Brown had yet another outburst of middle run in with the local police in Florida.
Brown broadcasted the entire ordeal on Instagram as he cursed out police officers in the street with Children coming in and out of the house.
Unsurprisingly, brown tweeted Thursday, justice and news broke.
Take that as you will.
Pro football talk has an update on the conditional termination from Rosenhaus.
According to pro football talk for an NFL P A source, Rosenhaus has rescind the termination within five days if Brown gets the appropriate counseling.
I mean, Antonio Brown in one sense, and I and I e.
I talked about him on my show this week.
He's like and I called him that gift that keeps on giving, always ready to just do something crazy and give us something to laugh about and talk about.
And I was making a joke about him throwing a bag of ****s that is at his ex wife there, Indiana, Indiana, But the reality is Antonio Brown needs help.
Antonio Brown needs somebody in his life who is going to counsel him.
Prepare him, get him on the right track because he is just, I don't know.
He's just he's got issues.
There's mental health problems there.
You know, when you think about behaviors, there's normal behaviors and there's not normal behaviors.
And Antonio Brown's behaviors are not normal here.
He is one of the greatest receivers in the league today.
Could have went down as one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game, and instead he's gonna be remembered for everything that's happening off the fields.
He's going broke.
Nike has terminated deals with him.
Other people have germinated deals with him.
Now his agent is terminated.
His lawyer will no longer be counsel.
People who were representing him are embarrassed of his behavior and don't want to be associated with him anymore.
And I just hope that the guy could get some help.
I hope that he's able to just I don't get things together.
I hope that he's able to I don't know if this is C t.
You know I watched that Aaron Hernandez do***entary and they talked about the CTO and I don't blame the CT on the murders and whatnot, but I think there's something that I think there's something to do with the behavior.
I think the behavior has something to do with what we see on on a day to day basis with some of these guys, and it's just, I don't know.
It's sad, it's the same.
And I'm just hoping that everything goes.
I know kids better for him, that's all.
That's all I can say right now.
And I hope that he gets the help.
I wanted the kids there, and I hope he can do it.
All right, guys, Now I'm gonna be recording my to YouTube videos and because you are watching live on SportsCastr, you get to see it before the YouTube world does. So congratulations.
And you want to watch my YouTube videos tomorrow, so I'm gonna be doing my intro is getting into it and ah, it's gonna go like this.
Dear Past age was going on and your boy Ray, and welcome to my little show here on DPMNE sports talk.
So look immediately after this year's NFL draft.
I was on a live stream.
I was talking to Pats fans.
We were talking about the draft and the general consensus across Pats Nation was that we were all impressed with the Patriots draft and there were some people who have fought and I fully admit I was one of those people included.
This could have been Bill Bala Jack's best draft ever, and I think we can't deny it.
The you and some people will, and some people will pretend like they had the foresight and try to pretend like they're smarter than the rest of us, and that's fine.
If that's the road that you decide to go, well, that's up to you.
But I think for most of us we were excited about what was coming down the pipe with some of these players.
You know, when you look at the Patriots draft class, remember, how don't think about now and don't think about the end of the season.
I want you to think about immediately after the draft how we felt.
The Patriots used a 32nd overall pick to bring the Kill Harry.
It's the first time that Bill Belichick drafts a wide receiver in the first round past Nation.
We were excited.
Yeah, we saw a Brown was there.
We saw, you know, a couple of the other guys who were available decay.
Matt Capital's gonna guys.
But we were excited with tequila.
Harry, a big, strong guy.
He's gonna play a bit of a Gronk role.
Then, in the 40 days trade up to for the 45th overall pick, he takes Dewan Williams the smartest player.
That's not my Peter.
That's a lot of people's who are a lot smarter than me.
Their opinion is Juan Williams.
Smartest player in the draft.
Peter Shrager of Good Morning Football predicted while Joe Juan Williams was on set, that he was gonna get drafted by the Patriots 77th overall.
Third round chase.
Set it right there.
Just watching the kid play at Michigan.
The way he looks reminds me Clay Matthews.
I believe he was one of the biggest steals of the draft.
Same round 87th overall.
The break out of Alabama running back Damian Harris.
Nate Burleson, after when he's talking with the draft, calls him the steal of the draft.
Then we get Yonica, you stay.
We gotta throw Holt 133rd overall.
They take quarterback Jared Stick Em made some of us Wonder was he drafted his Tom Brady's eventual replacement.
It was a real split amongst pagination.
I think it still is whether or not the kid's got a future.
They take defensive lineman after that by a court.
You think Jake Bailey, you comes in to replace Ryan Allen, who really could have been, you know, a candidate for Super Bowl M V P.
But Alan was demanding way too much money.
He was still a little bit too inconsistent last couple seasons.
And in the final pick, they have 250 silver. All they get. Kent Webster.
And then, of course, this isn't a part of the job.
But you can't forget undrafted free agent Jacoby Meyers, but technically not a part of the draft class.
He won't be graded as a part of this.
No, you know, and then when we're in June, we're going into July.
We're going in a preseason, that kind of thing.
We were excited to see this rookie class perform.
We're hearing about some of the things that were they were seen and in camp, we were wanted to know exactly how good this team could be.
We had a lot of hope that we're going to see some cool stuff and maybe unfairly, especially for guys like, you know, Nick Eel hearing that kind of thing.
Expectations were high.
We had very high expectations of what he was gonna do for the team and I think it's not unfair to see it all that overall this season when we look at all the draft picks, it was a little bit disappointing and the Patriots really got hit because of injuries and then some of the guys couldn't get on the field because they were an active a lot.
And I think that, you know, it's just one of those things and for a lot of these guys to be truth, man, we're gonna have to wait until next season to really get a good read on who they are as players because we didn't get to see a lot of these guys.
We didn't get to see a lot of these guys really do anything and before we really get into grading the players and how well they played or didn't play. Whatever.
Can we please stop saying that Bill Belichick is awful at drafting? Can we please say that he's doesn't draft anybody worth drafting, that he doesn't draft starters? Because it really, to me, it's a little bit of a ridiculous statement.
I went through Bill Belichick's draft history today, and I made a list, and I left guys off the list who probably deserved to be on it.
But I tried to pick the most impactful players.
So since 2000 when he took over, is that the fact of general manager and coach of the New England Patriots? Dr Tom Brady, Richard Seymour, Matt Light, Super Bowl M v P D.
He drafted Vince Will Fork and Ben Watson.
Logan Mankins? Matt Cassel, who had a career as a quarterback? He drives it.
Stephen Gostkowski has been one of the most consistent kickers in the NFL.
He drives a drawing male Matthew Slater, who's probably one of the best special team players ever to play the game.
Patrick Chung, Sebastian Volmer, Julian Edelman, Devin McCourty, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, A great player.
Before you know all the incidents happened.
Nate Solder, the highest paid one of the highest paid lineman in the NFL.
Shane Vereen, Marcus Cannon, Chandler Jones, Dont'a Hightower, Jamie Collins.
Special teams ace Nate Abner.
Logan Ryan Who picked off Tom Brady to Ron Harmon, NFC East finalists.
Jimmy Garoppolo, James White, Cameron Fleming.
Who everybody was just devastated to see.
Lead the Patriots this year.
Probably one of the best guards in the NFL.
Huge part huge part of the Patriots winning Super Bowl.
51 Atlanta Roberts playing both sides.
Isaiah Win, who came in and stabilized the Patriots offensive line. Sony.
Michele, the guy who was the catalyst of the Patriots Super Bowl 53 championship.
That's a pretty good list of players, and there's a lot of players on that list of Patriot fans have been praising for years, and I don't understand why people just feel the need to keep continuing to rip on Bella checks.
It's very easy to make exact same list of players who didn't work out, but you can't ignore the players who did work in the players who didn't.
You can't do it, but let's look at the draft class.
Let's attach a grade to every player round by round, player by player.
And let's give an overall view of this year.
First round pick, 32nd overall.
Wide receiver in the keel.
I had a lot of things going against him this year.
Didn't get much of a preseason misses the 1st 9 games of the season.
K Man had to learn to be an NFL receiver very quickly, had moments of flash, but overall, I give me a C on the year.
I think we showed with some maturity, with some building with him learning to be an NFL receiver with him learning the route tree a little bit better, I think we could see good things with him.
I get a C second round draft pick, 45th overall.
Jawan Williams, cornerback had very limited opportunity to play this year.
I give him a C minus.
He struggled a bit when he first came in.
He had a really good finish to the season on his last game of the year against Miami.
I think that we knew he was gonna be a bit of a project coming into this season.
He also came in tow, one of the deepest secondaries in the NFL, now probably the deepest secondary in the National Football League.
So we knew that opportunities were gonna be low for him.
But I still get a C minus.
Third round picks, 77th overall, Chase one of its again A B plus.
I mean, what did he end up with, Like five and 1/2 sacks.
He was 1/3 down defensive and pass rusher.
We knew that was gonna be his role, especially the 34 defense.
They don't go with a lot of defensive ends.
When he was called upon, he answered, I don't think I can sit back and think of a bad game that he had this year.
Kid plays with a ton of energy for a young rookie.
He made first round impact as 1/3 rounder.
The value that they got out of him, phenomenal.
He was very close to an A for me, but I'm gonna keep him around a B plus.
I expect them to be even better next season.
The other third overall pick, 87th overall running back.
Damian Harris got hardly any opportunity this year.
I think he played in two games against the Jets and hardly touched the ball because of that. I give him a D.
I don't give enough because he didn't have the opportunity to play.
He probably could have got a not applicable, but because he did have time dressed and didn't get an opportunity and again another deep backfield.
But I'm going to give a little bit of a pass.
I don't give a D.
Then you got Yonica Usti and huge out four Holt I'm gonna give them.
Not applicable is because both of them were injured this year. They couldn't play.
Don't want to give maths.
I'll make him not applicable is I'll give him a great next season.
Then you got 4th 4th round pick, 133rd overall.
Quarterback Jared Stadium.
We didn't see much of him.
We saw his preseason, which I probably gave a B plus in the preseason and then yeah, he had his pick six against the Jazz.
But I read a lot of things about how he's playing in practice.
He gets a lot of you got a lot of praised by players.
We don't know a whole lot about him.
From what we see Now, I'm gonna give me a C, which I think is a fair judgment of a backup quarterback who didn't get a lot of opportunity.
So I give me a C.
Brian Cords didn't get a lot of playing time.
He was an active a lot.
He was 1/5 round draft pick, 159th overall.
When he was in, he was kind of a noticeable.
Then he got hurt, missed a lot of year.
I'm gonna give him a D.
I don't think he deserves an ass because he didn't play that much.
But I am gonna give a D fifth round pick 163rd overall.
Punter Jake Bailey straight up My only a plus of the draft.
He was an A plus for sure.
Two times Special team player of the Week In his rookie season, the kid came in Bang.
That ball had a couple of rookie mishaps here and there, but for the most part was absolutely spectacular on the special teams and I gotta give an A plus in the seventh round.
Pick 252nd overall.
Quarterback Ken Webster.
He was cut before the season started.
I gotta give in f overall guys.
The whole thing is when you're trying to grade this Patriots draft glass, it's still a wait and see for a lot of guys.
You look at guys like Harris.
You look at guys like four whole.
Could you stay? They could turn into studs and be a minus is a plus is next year and it could look like an absolutely fantastic draft.
But when we're looking at what just happened this year, the 2019 seasons, if I had to give an overall grade to the rookie class when you add up the A pluses, the B minuses, the B pluses, the DEA's to seize the AFS.
I get the Patriots rookie class this year a C plus.
Obviously, I think is Patriot fans.
We wish that they would have done a little bit better, but I still look at that team again with Damian Hairs is Juan Williams of the world and I see a lot of positive things happening in this future and I think that they could be a huge part of what happens with the Patriots going forward.
And if we were to regrade this draft class next season, I strongly believe that the grades would go way, way up.
All right, so that was my first YouTube video.
That will be going out tomorrow at 10 a.m.
But because you were here on SportsCastr, you got to see it first.
I hope you enjoyed it.
As we get all set up for my second YouTube recording of the night, you will get to see it again.
You can tell the world that you got to see it first.
You get to see it first every single night.
And this one is going to go like this and you'll know I'll be giving my intro again and we'll start like that.
Dear past nature was going on and your boy, Ray, And welcome to my little show here on DPMNE Sports talk.
What's going on? Look, So this Patriots season started so promising eight.
No, we argued strength of schedule.
We looked at the d fans.
We were so excited about what was going forward and it ended in a very disappointing way.
And as Patriot fans, what we do sometimes is we immediately try to find the scapegoat.
Whose fault is it that the Patriots lost this season? We've seen Josh McDaniels blamed.
We've seen people blame Tom Brady.
We've blamed the entire receiving corps.
We've been the Bill Belichick is sabotaging.
Tom Brady has raised its ugly head again.
And, of course, Bill Ballot Shack people isn't all you know.
He's a great coach, but he's an awful GM and he can't draft, you know, when his drafting his back into question.
And look, I'll admit I just graded the 2019 Dr Classic game of C plus, and I'm sure that most of us would have wanted better, because when you look at other teams, they probably someone probably decided to be.
I don't think anybody hit in a Yeah, we could've done better.
But people saying that Bill Belichick is awful at drafting it's just false.
And to me, it's You're just upset by the way this season ended and you're just looking for ridiculousness.
Well, I made the only position I'd say that Bill Belichick struggles.
That is wide receiver.
He hasn't had a great beyond really Deon Branch and Malcolm Mitchell.
What he did in Super Bowl 51.
He hasn't had a great track record.
It's our in Julian Edelman.
Maybe, but he still managed to get a couple of great wide receivers.
We kind of just talked about them.
But since I graded the 2019 draft class today, and I'm sure they're people that were listening to me and I'm the comments are full of people ripping Bill Bell attacks and he does not, a draft does not to do anything well.
What I decided to do was just the top five all time draft picks in the Bill Belichick era, just for the fun of it.
So here's my top five.
It goes like this.
Number five is my man, my boy number 54 Dont'a Hightower.
Hightower was taken in the 25th overall in the 2012 draft.
Hightower was an instant starter in an instant impact player for the New England Patriots.
From the time alone, it's clear three time Super Bowl champion two time Pro Bowler don't forget prior to come into the NFL.
He was a two time national champion with Alabama in 2011 his final year of college.
He was a consensus All American, and he was a first team sec.
What Hightower is is he's a game player.
He's a big game player.
You have guys who are good players and game big game players.
I think you could make an argument that Peyton Manning was not a big game player.
He won one Super Bowl as a quarterback.
He won a 2nd 1 because of his defense.
He lost two other ones where he played awful when they lost the New Orleans.
And then when he got when he went to Denver and he got just beat up.
Bye. Seattle Hightower.
He's had huge moments, especially in the Super Bowl.
Don't forget without Dont'a Hightower making a tackle on Marshawn Lynch on the one yard line.
There is no Malcolm Butler interception in Super Bowl 49 when the Patriots are down 28 to 9 after scoring a point.
Kostovski Mrs an extra point.
Hightower Strip sacks Mount Ryan, and that was really the play in the catalyst play that got the Patriots back in the game and made them feel like they had a chance.
I totally believe, along with the foreign, Gilmore Hightower and Kyle Vanoy could have been 33 Those guys were M V P candidates.
Hightower almost had an interception.
That game, he was all over the place.
You two tackles, two sacks.
And there's a reason that Bill ballot Shack of all people, nicknamed him Mr February.
And I think when the coach gives you in that when the coach like Bill Belichick gives you a nickname like Mr February, it's something that you have to take serious.
He's a Captain Walker room leader, right? He's the absolute leader on the defense and in eight years with the Patriots, is 505 tackles, 25 a half sacks.
Has defended 17 passes, one interception, two forced fumbles.
Maybe it's bias because he's my favorite player, but I think High Tower has to be on this list.
One of the top five players to ever be drafted by Bill Belichick.
Number four on this list.
When you think of all time New England Patriots, I think it Teddy Bruschi.
I think a Willie McGinnis.
I think it. Tom Brady.
I think of Adam Bennett.
Terry and I think of Vince.
Bell check took him in 2004.
Overall, he's a two time Super Bowl champion.
Five time Pro Bowler, first team All Pro, three times, second team All Pro in his playing days.
He was a leader in the locker room.
He was the absolute leader in the locker room.
And if you want to see what kind of leader is just go watch.
A miked up episode of Vince will force 11 years with the He played 11 years with the Patriots, two years with the tight with the Texans.
I think we were all touched and thrilled when he signed a one day contract with the Patriots.
Retired New England, I don't know, and he probably didn't do enough to make the full Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He's definitely a Patriots Hall of Famer, and I don't think I know a single Patriots fan who's not a fan and doesn't love Big Vince.
A single person, 559 tackles throughout his year, career as a noseguard, 16 sacks, three interceptions, 26 passes deflected, four forced fumbles and he recovered 12 fumbles.
In my opinion, Vince Wilfork's greatest moment was pushing the Jets defender back in the Mark Sanchez and creating the greatest moment in Patriots history and possibly New York Jets history.
The Butt fumble.
This was the man.
Now, when we look at number three on the list, when you think of notable quarterbacks that Bill Belichick drafted Jimmy Garoppolo Jacoby percent maybe Matt Cassel's who had a pretty decent career.
Bits of notable quarterbacks that came in at the hands of Bill Belichick and outside of Tom Brady, the most effective college quarterback ever drafted by Bill Ball check was actually converted to a wide receiver.
That's our man J E. 11.
Julian Edelman Kid was drafted in the seventh round, 232 overall quarterback at a Kent State.
And when I don't get started with the team and he was used all over the field, they didn't know what they were gonna do with them.
They just knew they had a special athlete, the Adam on punt return kick return cornerback before he finally settled as a wide receiver.
Now, the one knock on Elements career is crazy and ridiculous because he's never been selected for a Pro Bowl.
I think it's ridiculous.
He's never been there.
He He was better than most of the Pro Bowl selections this year, but he doesn't care about Pro Bowls because he's a three time Super Bowl champion.
Super Bowl 53 M v p.
He's fourth all time on the Patriots receiving leader.
He's second all time in the NFL for play up for playoff, receiving Onley behind Hall of Famer and probably, in my opinion, the greatest wide receiver to ever play the game. Jerry Rice.
I believe it's fair.
You describe Julian Edelman as the heart and soul of the Patriots.
It's my opinion, at least, but I believe that he is the heart and soul of the New England Patriots.
I don't know he's tough as hell.
He played through a 1,000,001 injuries this year.
He needs to have surgeries, and as far as I'm concerned, he's on a trajectory towards the Hall of Fame.
His regular season starts 599 receptions.
6500 yards, 36 touchdowns.
Playoffs is another 118 receptions, 1400 yards, five touchdowns.
I mean, really, there can't be anybody questioning Julian Edelman being on this list now.
When we go into this number two of the top five draft picks of all times.
When you think of the second half of the dynasty based in 2014 and on, I think there's three guys that come to mind.
Tom Brady, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.
Drunk was the most dominant tight end in the history of the National Football League.
The history of football because it wasn't just because it was catching.
And I don't like cheese.
Fans are gonna want to come out.
They're gonna want talk about how Travis Kelsey is setting all these receiving records.
Gronk wasn't just a great catcher, he was a ferocious blocker, and I think the one thing is, when you talk about, you know, if they had a whip, if they had a wins above replacement are sort of war, you know, wins above replacement in the National Football League.
Gronkowski would be through the roof because his absent this year was felt and I think you can see two losses responsible of no Rob Gronkowski.
I really believe that if he would have had injury issues his entire career, his numbers would've been untouchable.
Kelsey would have been coming close to it.
Second round draft pick.
2010 What can you say? Three time Super Bowl champion? All right.
Two time he played into, but he's a three time four time first team All Pro five time Pro Bowler.
He's on the NFL 100 all NFL team.
He's second on the Patriots of all time receiving behind Stanley Morgan, and he's the Patriots all time touchdown leader.
Gronk holds 18 regular season and postseason records, and he's the kind of guy who's gonna be whole.
He's gonna be in the Hall of Fame is Susan as soon as he's eligible to go in? Gronk brought a larger than life personality.
He tested the Patriots way, but he was so good and so lovable that he got away with it.
He in his career, he had 521 reception, 7800 yards, 79 touchdowns.
81 playoff catches.
6 2163 yards, 12 touchdowns.
If not for the guy who I think we all know is number one on this list.
Gronkowski would atop this list 150% now before I reveal the obvious.
Another number one draft pick in the Bill Belichick era.
I want to give you a couple honorable, mentions Matthew Slater.
Now I think when we talk about the 1st 4 that we already had on this list, we can't see the Matthew Slater's a top five, but he's one of the best special team players to ever play the game.
I think you should be in the Hall of Fame because of a special team career.
A Bill Belichick draft pick, a staple on the Patriots.
Another guy that I don't know Any Patriots fan who hates Matthew Slater doesn't like Matthew Slater.
Other honorable mention.
Super Bowl M v P.
Another receiver drafted by Bill Belichick.
I got Chandler Jones as an honorable mention.
I think if Jones still would have been a Patriot, I probably would have had him on this list, but he kind of disappeared in Arizona.
I've seen his numbers.
I know how good he is, but I had to give an honorable mention.
And of course, I got to give an honorable mention to Jimmy Garoppolo.
He's led San Francisco to the NFC NFC championship game.
Don't know exactly Where is gonna be, how he's gonna play out, but I gotta put him on number one and the least suspenseful.
Everybody knows who number one on this list is Bill ballot checks.
Best draft pick ever The Goat.
Tom Brady We all know Tom Brady's draft story 199th overall in 2000.
Bledsoe gets injured.
Brady takes over.
The rest is history.
Tom Brady's accolades and numbers are disgusting.
Six time Super Bowl champion four time Super Bowl M v P.
Three time league MVP.
14 time Pro Bowler three time first team All Pro, two times.
Second team All Pro two time NFL offensive player of the year, NFL comeback Player of the year.
Four time NFL passing touchdown leader.
Three time passing yard leader.
Two time passer rating leader, NFL Completion Percentage leader 2010 NFL's male Athlete of the Decade 2007 Bert Bell Award, 2007 Associated Press.
Male athlete of the year 2005 s eyes.
Male athlete of the year.
NFL to thousands old at all decade Team NFL 100 all time team.
Tom Brady holds 53 regular season postseason in Super Bowl records 53 individual records, and the old man is still going.
And at the age of 43 he still plans on playing next season.
Regular season stats.
6377 completions for 74 1005 171 yards and 541 touchdowns and the playoffs is completed.
1025 passes for 11,000 yards, 73 touchdowns is completed 256 passes in the Super Bowl for 2800 yards and 18 touchdowns whenever.
And I don't do this often because there's never really an opportunity to.
But whenever I break down Tom Brady stats and accomplishments, it still blows my mind.
I don't understand.
Even if I wasn't a Patriots fan, I don't understand how there's even a goat argument.
You know when people always want to talk about Oh, it's teams win titles.
It doesn't reflect individual play.
Look att Aaron Rodgers stats.
Compared to his 1st 10 years compared to brains, first day Brady has 53 individual records, huh? I think maybe maybe he's a pretty good individual player.
I'm sure somebody out there thinks I'm wrong.
I'm sure you'll tell me.
I just wanted you to know.
I think that's a pretty impressive top five list.
Bill cheque isn't as an app.
That drafting as some of us maybe think he is.
Hernandez was on my list.
Probably in the top 40.
I mean, yeah, absolutely.
I don't know what you're trying to say there, Pat.
Serge, I think that I explained is a Hall of Famer I The whole point was, is we need to get off this whole Bill Belichick can't draft ****.
I think we know, You know.
I know he can without being side guys.
Oh, thank you. Mo Lewis rating.
So yeah, there, I get it now.
Catch the replay, Rhino.

Thank you to sportscasts for giving me the opportunity to come out here each and every night and talk to my friends here on past nation and football fans from all over the world.
I know, Actually, believe it or not, we got a lot of non Patriot fans who watched my stuff, and I really like that because they have respect for the team.
They say it's because of me, but I think it's because of the team closet.
Patriot fans like to call them thank you to all the U who come out here.
If it wasn't for all of you guys, I just be a big, fat football fans screaming into a microphone every night with nobody listening.
And with all that being said, thank you so much for tuning in.
Tighten up, CTO.
