I will give the full ****ysis of this game and we'll talk about it.
Okay? Once again.
G i g i n freeing.
I'm trying, but I see your name.
I don't want it.
I don't want to, but you get name T Um, E s 69 69.
Thanks for joining us here on a SportsCastr for today.
Let's go ahead and switch this over.
What? Andy Reid.
He's the coach of the Kansas City. Keep.
They'll talk about the this week's game between, um the Titans so on and we'll have Mike bar go.
Um, we'll have him, um, next.
So, once again, thanks for joining us.
We'll begin our broadcast, so we'll set it up in just a second.
Let me see. Be in here.
Everybody's in the obit.
Begin with Bomb are first.
Coach, we're gonna have Andy Reid on me.
Go ahead and set this up.
Um, whenever the injuries for you, we came out, I think fairly healthy.
So that's Ah, that's a plus.
I want to thank our fans, appreciate them for hanging in the cold there and cheered us on.
And they make a difference.
Ah, another home game here.
No fans deserve it more than are so appreciate them.
I thought was a great team win.
I love the mindset of the team when they came out.
Got another big challenge this week in Tennessee, where mindset will be very important.
How you go about this week's practice, you know, we start off a little slow, obviously shot ourselves in the foot, but nobody, nobody flinched.
Their very hung in there that the problems answer and solved and turned things around, which was important.
There was no panic and, uh, get two good teams against each other.
Not everything's gonna go right.
So you gotta make sure that you you got a good locker room and coaches that can withstand that Continue to teach er this.
I mean, individuals are rugged individual performances.
Fred Clark, with the three sacks I thought were humbly especially the one worry Jason around Mr Twice and got him It was pretty amazing.
Kills and Pat Tyronn.
I mean, they they all played good for bombing Pat Pat's energy and leadership.
I mean, really showed in that game on, uh, played lights out So But anyway, I could go through another number of people.
Offensive defensive line.
I thought Play boats like the back end.
When I mentioned Tyronn, I mentioned that they had another chance for another interception.
That room, he was right in position.
Most of those he's gonna he's gonna haul in there, so But the fact that he was there made some big plays down the stretch.
I thought were big something Was that hundreds? Yeah, I don't know that I would just have to see how he does it.
I mean, it's a day to day thing.
And it was that way.
Um, you know, effort happened today.
So with this, we'll see how he does.
Just from looking at his on field work out there a couple hours before the game.
Didn't look like he was anywhere close.
Yeah, he used this decision in that regard yesterday with enough down.
Well, no, not that.
I mean, you couldn't push off on, uh, go easy decision right there, Player.
Oliver, how do you try toe? Get him to see the bigger picture.
To not necessarily rush it or push more than you know what we would say if it was not the championship game.
How would you try Get immensely to be as close as could be for some plays or whether he needs to be sort of another assistant coach down about the last part, but just to be, Yeah, you, uh, just to be honest, I mean, that's the main thing so that he's done that.
It's, uh, long as he's honest with it.
That's what most of our guys do.
So they shoot straight, and then the doctors did a nice job.
Rick does a nice job any first half of the year when I asked you a lot of Al man to man defense.
What's it taken from? You guys continue the coaches, the players to get to the progression that we've seen materialized? Yeah, they did.
I mean, they place quite a little bit of man.
Most recent happened.
Our guys have battled through it, and, uh, I think we've gotten better releases.
We've got better working off of each other and with each other in certain situations.
So which ends up being important and that we have done a better job coaching it.
So I'll take responsibility for that.
Spent a lot of time at that.
False were my my problem.
Who really want mess? Elon player problem with coaches, problems chasing things up.
Got that? Uh, that's right.
Now And this team does this seem similar? Now they play, they mix it.
So Coach P's he'll throw a few different looks at you, So you gotta be a way to go way talk much about this after game.
You guys playing this game here because what Tennessee did on Saturday and I well, are they playing what they've done so far? Yeah, they were playing real.
Get football right now.
They're well, Coach Mike does a nice job with him.
And, um yeah, that running backs.
Not a bad player.
Snapping big fella, That can really move.
Didn't college does it now? Good offensive line. Good receivers.
Well, you know, he's, uh uh you always liked those stories when I I didn't have as much success is.
They probably would like that one place, but comes here and it's got the guys in the championship game.
Their defense is playing good football on, duh, flying around.
So on their special teams or goods all the way around.
This is ah, well deserved team to be in this position.
So we gotta make sure we, you know, we have a good week of practice and you remember again where you run out of fireworks and that lack of planning.
Uh, I didn't know that till this morning.
The man Frank that just told me about, uh but I guess I guess that's a good thing.
One way or another.
You mentioned Frank Clark in the game.
He had believed that, like, 10 sacks since he came back in that shop on Mitzi.
What did you learn about in the first years? Half this evening.
We had that injury again.
He said he was playing maybe 25% Now is relentless.
I mean, that's ah, on that one second.
It tells you the whole story.
We run around James, Mr Place and get back up.
That's, uh, that's how he's wired.
So, um, and then he works out.
I mean, every every plate practices that way.
And he was watching TV copy of the game.
Seem like at one point guys got down margin Might have taken a step back calling plays from the sheet of yours.
Am I right about that? And you're still, like, led to that decision.
Can I talk to all the plays on B S O? Um, you know, and he's the one that gives him the quarterback with the headset.
So we go through every Siri's and talk through it, make sure we're on the same page, which has been very important guys who were here last year.
Just how do you feel? Like last year's experience, the title game will help them This week preparing, and then once they get out on the field, Yeah, listen for the guys that were here.
I think they they understand that, you know, it's it's different every level you go up in the playoffs.
So there's a certain preparation that you need.
I didn't feel like the guys were.
They were happy about the result of the game.
But not to the point where they didn't realise that there's another week coming up here against broken football team.
So, um, nobody was in there doing backflips over this.
Lasky, I understand what they've got ahead of him.
You're after being passed over your advice to one of you guys.
Yeah, just, you know, really, Um, keep paying you.
I mean, he's, uh we all know what he's all about and how good he is.
So I'm saying that's just as much as the coaches were disappointed, for.
The players were, too so, like that probably says everything.
The players, they know they're around them every day and know what he's all about.
And, uh, you know, they have that kind of respect for you.
It seems like since you've been here, there's always a question about calling plays and you know how hard it is to get at some point.
Does it all seem a little kind of the same thing, right? Yeah, well, everybody has an opportunity for input that's in that position.
And so that's how we roll.
And there's no we all check our egos at the door on if you got a good idea, Uh, we're rolling it.
And so and that's I mean, that's help with our success here.
So you know, whether it's Doug or mad or any of the guys have been here.
They've all had input and, um, and have been ableto put their name on a play.
And so maybe he's done that just just like the other guys have done.
But yeah, that's ah, you know, I I think that gets I like I can use myself as an example.
I've never called a play it till I got here, but Coach Holmgren would leave it, leave it open and ask you for an idea.
Um I mean, you're talking about a future Hall of Fame clubs here, so yeah, but and I know Bill Walsh did it the same way.
You know, like why? So that part hasn't changed here.
So candy more productive in the last few weeks have been earlier.
Season is just a health thing with him.
Words or something else going on.
Yeah, well, it was just a healthy on Ben.
Um uh, you know, he was banged up.
So now he's healthy.
Blessing in disguise that you didn't get work, E.
I don't know about that.
He's strong kids.
Maybe you would've been okay either way with coach with changes in added attention to change week and your experience once the key underlying just keeping me grounded and given all the attention, maybe change a little bit.
What? You understand? There's gonna be more this way. We all know that.
So, um and then you just stay focused.
You eliminate distractions and stay focused on the job at hand.
You know, you're playing a good football team.
We try to keep the schedules the same at times and all at the same on then how they handle when they have media obligations, they do it but get back and get on the football apartment.
When you guys win streak, we're starting to get on a roll what you thought may have occurred after the loss of Tennessee in the fact that there was, you know, mistakes on every level of the team offense, defense, specialties.
With that in mind, what do you try? I guess.
What's your philosophy when you see an opponent that you lost, too in the postseason, much like last week with Houston? Do you want players names? They show your personality, but do you want players to sort of be motivated by that? Would you like to be more specific to just what the understanding is that's necessary to win that particular game on attitude? I want him to be real about what happened.
I mean, we lost the game.
So I mean, when then why? Let's figure that part out and then, um, work to fix that problem.
So we do that every week and no different than when we play Tennessee before they beat us.
I mean, maybe this in three different phases.
I mean, they're they're good football team, and we we're gonna do a better job that anyone past leadership before you guys drafted and was there any concerns that jumped out of you that you knew that was a quality you could see.
Yeah, I mean, I know his head coaches, so I was able to talk to him on, um, Mike Smith on the staff who is their defense coordinator.
So I talked to him Bread Beach, watching his first play on and some during you go the game and you see him during warm ups and how he handled the guys during the game, how he handled the guys.
Um, so you have a pretty good idea that it was getting late.
I mean, those are things that he showed in college.
You're hoping it would carry over.
You can kind of see that even his rookie year way worked with Alex easily.
He, you know, here's the first our first round pick.
He could have tried to get in there and grind on it better than he in all this stuff.
He never, never did that.
On a matter of fact, he took the things that and took the back seat there, learned from Alex, which, uh, that doesn't always happen.
There's some leadership that's involved and be able to do that, have enough confidence in yourself.
And the players saw that last look caressed, assaulted you dress Daniel Sorenson yesterday were just curious when you come back, you watched the tape.
Now that you've seen it again, do you think they have good of a special teams played that compared to some of the great one second? What made it work? S Oh, Dave does a heck of a job coaching you just saw to the best special teams Coach is O R Hominy.
Every year is going going against each other.
So I mean, I was a unique situation there, but, um, about David and I shot a coaching.
But it's different when your juices are going.
You're on the field that night.
You got to pull back and you gotta make that play and you're the only one.
It's man on, man right there.
That's Ah, it's a little different deal in space.
So that's why I compliment for how easily I mean that.
And listen, I see why Bill did what he did, and I said that to yesterday, and I still, you know, they stay.
They stay aggressive.
That's one of their things.
And they have so much success with it.
But, you know, I play was about that far from being a big hitter, and, uh, it was all on.
**** So, yeah, he made a nice play.
Me, I ask you a couple times after just get started.
But now that he's been going for a while, I wanted to come back.
You ever catch yourself in the middle of the game like like he was having yesterday? This is pretty good here.
What this guy's doing, I'm just looking for the next thing, you know, Let me be pretty.
You know, you started find what's on that game plan.
I don't have enough time to think about that. I do. Absolutely.
No, I mean, afterwards I go, You know, he did a heck of a job.
So we're all lucky to have, right? I can't see you like it.
His snaps started increasing.
Even with a healthy want that opponent driven.
And how valuable is have a guy like that would be a hybrid linebacker Also.
Yeah, um, yeah, I think that's a big I think that's it.
Gives specs and flexibility within the working escape.
So, um, and he's got confidence in then.
I think all the guys have you know, all the guys.
So they he's a tough kid on, uh, there's nothing real flashy.
So, um, you know, it's ah, but it gives bags of flexibility.
And he is He's inside the majority of the time.
A TTE, that linebacker spot.
That's tough position being, But he does that.
What does it? Well, all right, you I Coach Mike Bergen for the Tennessee Titans.
How close is this? Great.
Does it take two more wins to get there? Well, I think that we have certainly improved.
I think we've made progress.
Something that we focused on a while back is just trying to continue to improve each and every week.
So how close? Where I don't I don't know that.
You know, we're gonna do what we've done for for a long time, and what we know is, too.
To prepare to try to go in and play with confidence and execute, try to build momentum throughout the week and see if it can translate to the game and then be ready to make adjustments as the game goes on.
E, I know you're on fire today back, and I'm nobody wants to ask any questions.
I can get a team to keep improving.
It is a long season, and that can be tougher for something to do.
What we've talked about it.
You kind of recognize it in the middle of the season when the injury report gets a little longer, guys play a lot of snaps, and we talked to him about ways of improving physically or mentally, and we feel like the details of the meetings and walk throughs.
Some of those little things that don't take a lot of physical exertion is something that we thought we could do to improve because either you go out in training camp and have a bunch of reps or practice against another team or have a lot longer individual or one on one periods.
Those air, obviously, the easy ways to improve its.
Then when you get into November in the back part of the season, how do you continue to improve when you don't have the ability to to run 50 or 60 place? Just you done, go ahead.
You try to do that.
I mean, I told the team like the coaches were gonna need our best efforts every week T game plan to give him a plan that they understand that they're confident in and they have trust in.
We have to improve each and every game and how we go out there and you know what's new, you know, you always write down questions.
And I know that the staff does is what What's the game plan run? What's the game plan? Pressure? What's the part? Russia. The week.
What? What are the answer? That now our players, we have to be able to say, Here's what it is.
They're copycatting, You know, somebody something that somebody did a few weeks ago or this is the pressure.
This is the front that we're going to see.
That's new so that our players after the first series, can understand.
And this is the game plan that they've worked on all week, and you're gonna see similar plays off of formations that that we haven't seen from this team in a while.
So, um, as far as my improvement, I just try to, you know, come in every every day and do things to help the team win and be prepared to face the chief's office here of the season work, seeing that make improvements.
They're very, very good defensively.
They're playing very hard.
I think the scheme, you know, the schemes always scheme is what it is.
But the players are playing hard.
They they believe in each other.
Um, and I noticed a CZ.
You watch their effort to the football in the way that they chase in the way that they tackle those air.
Great compliments toe to SP Ags and his staff.
And obviously Andy is as the head coach, their explosive on offense, their athletic there fast.
Um, it'll be a huge challenge.
Very guarded. Played, too.
We don't do comparisons or predictions, so I'll ask.
I'll answer whatever you want.
But I'm not comparing eating how explosive explosive it is, and it can score from any part of the field.
You know, they have roles and they have guys that they like to do.
Um, you know, I think the thing that I appreciate the most about watching um, Andy and their offensive players is that I know what the diagram and the book looks like.
And a lot of those routes and plays don't really look like those diagrams They Travis, for example.
He's put the personal touch on a lot of routes.
I would say every route that he runs, there's gonna be something to it that that probably looks a little different than most tight ends.
Tyree kill, Obviously, the speed and the explosiveness.
They have plays that they like for Sammy.
And, uh, you know, Patrick doesn't amazing job of getting everybody involved and and using the weapons and his ability to get out of the pocket extend plays.
And that was a big factor in the game the other day.
His ability to gain yards and chunk yardage outside the pocket.
High ranked defense is Parker is a good game.
What are you most impressed? Are you impressed by his ability to just in the games the preparation during the week, the communication with players you dissect kind of what Arthur's done well, what would you say? The biggest.
I think it's been very inclusive.
I think that the entire staff has done a great job getting the information to him and helping him helping all of us.
You know, sit down and come up with a plan and you know there's there's run game meetings, there's a play action pass meetings.
There's third down meetings and red zone meetings.
Um, and I think the ability to have a great relationship with a quarterback is something that's important, I think the ability to recognize when when team went to go fast and went to go on the ball.
I think that's something that has helped us here that the later part of the season, when conditioning, you know, may maybe a factor.
We talk about all those things, the physical reps that that you can practice with and how much do you run the players? Because here's the GPS and they've run this many miles or they've gone this many yards.
So I think the ability for us tow to recognize when when's a good time for us to get on the ball and not huddle.
Um you know, and then being able to obviously you have to be able to see how the the flow of the game is going nothing.
You know, we had one on third at three operation which we get the call in.
I think it's something that's critical on.
We haven't had many of those you know, I think that it's decisive with the call that he wants.
It needed a ton from your passing day because your head plays like we've touched down works here on the New England game.
How much of that is matchup driven the last two weeks? Or is that just kind of something you had to adjust? Is the game's going on? You know, each and every week is different.
Um, so I think that the ability to hit big place, the ability to score in the red zone, ability to run the football toe to not turn the ball over Those were all critical things.
And so we'll have to go in with a balanced plan and see how the game is being played and how it's going and do everything that we have to do to try to try to win it based on no our plan and how it looks.
And if it's, uh, if it's working and then we'll have to obviously stick with what it is, and then if it's not, we'll have to make adjustments.
That left side seems to be coming together.
How have you seen that whole process of sampled line just come together way Can't put any more money over there.
So, um you know, I think tell the time that Taylor missed its you know, it was probably naive of me to think that that could just happened in two days of practice.
But I think that there's a comfort level with those guys over there.
We've talked that the teamwork required to work in combination with A with a guy next to you, whether that's in the past game and they're running a stunt or they're running a game or their pressure or the combination in the run game, whether you're on the back side of the front side to work, you know, through a player to another, those are things that we you are gonna need to have.
And I think Nate's development in Jax really study.
Played in Ben kind of the glue that holds everybody together.
You stole the line of scrimmage move.
Did you see that again? Watching film festival on Saturday night? I think there were times certainly where that happened early in the I think it was our second drive.
I think we were in his own play and probably gained eight or nine or 10 yards.
And Derek's falling forward for the last two or three yards.
And I mean, that's the push that when you see that early in the game, when both teams are my guess, is close toe, fresh as you can be, those are positive signs.
Some of it's by necessity.
But some of your younger guys in the defensive back end and the secondary have had to play more because of injuries down the stretch.
How much more prepared do you feel they are to face the homes this time that maybe they were thrown in back in November? Well, I hope that everybody is more prepared.
I hope that everybody's, you know, gotten a little bit better at some technique or some coverage that we're running.
Um, you know, and then it's not always mean necessity like everybody.
We only have so many guys on the roster, and the guys that are, you know, active have to have a role in the game and, um, you know, to be able to get our money and and Dane in there and whether it's Ty Smith or Shawn or Doory coming back, those we need everybody.
And, you know, it was good to see some of those guys show up make place because it was run.
You've got contributions from all 53 to create the culture with those guys, have the expectation to contribute and help you win.
I mean, I think that that's what I mean.
Everybody striving to be, you know, a starter, everybody striving to be the best player at their position.
And also, you know, I think we've gotten contributions from guys that have been on the practice squad from from August in early September.
To say you're not here just to look at a card and run a play.
You're here to work out four or five times a week with Frank and his staff, and to get yourself is mentally and physically ready to play all the way up until Saturday.
Whenever you know, John and I could could bring you up to the roster and we've had guys that have improved and when we've seen that improvement and we felt like they could help us, we've done everything.
We could t get them onto that game day roster and and guys have really taken advantage of their opportunity parade in particular.
Are you talking about? We're trying to place and just focusing on that big thing with him here.
It's just it's a big thing for everybody.
You know? I think that, um, you know, we all want to make plays.
We all wanted to do things that that help the team.
But sometimes we stray from that.
And when we try to do too much, I think it's players.
Um, yeah, it's a coordinated system in all three phases, with 11 guys needing to be in 11 spots doing their job.
And so but the one thing I'll tell you about camellias, I absolutely love his effort in his intensity in which he plays.
So you guys that play hard are always gonna have, ah, a lot longer leash when it relates to to me and how I perceive them.
And I know that he plays extremely hard.
Who cares about the team? And so that's why he's out there playing for us and we'll keep coaching him up and see if he can help us again this week.
Wait two questions.
Yeah, David, um you know, I think when I said after the game.
I didn't feel like it was too big form.
It didn't look that way.
Um, watching it on tape? No, he's not a big player.
He played, I think, aggressive.
I think he played physical.
I think he triggered.
Um I mean, he made a fantastic play on the fourth and one play to be ableto to get through it a little, you know, rabbit hole and find the court.
Basically, he was.
He neared the quarterback, he neared.
Um, you know, Lamar and was able to get through and come up with a huge stop.
Get these things we'll need to coach him on and then moving on to J.
We don't practice here for a few days.
We'll meet today, but we'll see how he progresses.
Case He's been here a long time.
How satisfying is in for you to see a better solo? This organization play? Well, you get to this point.
I can't say enough about his leadership, and he was voted as a captain by the team.
He has done everything that I've asked him to, or Dean and his coaching staff.
I mean, when you get when you're somewhere for a long time and you're used to a certain way and new faces come in.
Sure, that could always be a bit of, Ah, challenge drills. Never.
Yeah, done anything but put the team first and anything that we've asked him to do.
So when people like that have success, you're excited for you.
Flip on the tape A j gone up against throw stats at away.
Just take a J gone up against two of the best corners in the last couple of weeks.
What have you seen from him in his ability to get off against those guys? I'm A J just keeps working every week.
I love his attitude.
We've handed him the football.
We've thrown it to him, you know, in short routes.
One of the huge plays of the game was was 1/3 down play where catches it in traffic.
Oh gets upfield, doesn't try to run sideways, runs a guy over, gets a first down and were able to score a touchdown on that drive and said, Instead of settling for for a field goal, so you know it'll be a new challenge this week for him and, you know, they mix coverages and they'll play post safety.
They play Tampa and they'll blitz.
So every weeks, a new challenge, I think not only for a J but but for the entire team to seven postseason.
What's different with you? Um, you know, I think we've been close.
It's not like way.
We've been pretty close.
I may I know we went from wherever we were last year, which is probably high one.
I know where it was, um and so I don't think it was, like, just awful.
Maybe have a play here or play their quarterback.
You know, they gets out of pocket or whatever.
I think that we're trying to understand, um, maybe what we're doing and the players are executing very well and that that will be a huge key to force him to kick field goals like like we did last time with me back.
When you look at the workload Derek's been getting the last few weeks, you look and say, that's a lot.
Is there something unique about him gives you confidence that he is what he's going to be able to withstand this 30 Karis we've got Yeah, he comes.
Means is give me a ball.
It could only take him for his word.
And I mean, when he looks over and says, I need a break, he gets a break and then, you know, we go from there, but and he's durable.
He trains in the best condition players on our team when you watch him in April, May and June, Um, and that's it's hardly trains, and that's how he's built.
You guys were that the games? I mean, it's not very often, I mean, sometimes I mean, it happens and gets tired.
He got caught after Iran 50 yards the other day and you a little tired and we gave a break, put him back in.
And, um, you know, it means a lot to him.
You mean they has become a very good leader for this football team.
When you're durable and and you perform and you play hard, it's easy to be a leader.
Last three games, you get Marcus on the field with the offense.
How valuable is that in terms of creating a moment of confusion or uncer*****y? Maybe for a while we just like to try to have a role for everybody that's active in the game, and Marcus not only had a role in the game and will continue to have role in the game, Um, you know, helped us prepare last week, and I know that.
No, he'll do the same thing this week on and he's been very supportive of of Ryan, so we'll keep finding finding ways for him to help us during the Games.
But there are moments this season that you felt this time around where you are now, our force all at this time.
I think they are okay, Try to take every week, you know, as it comes and tryto find a message to the team that that I feel like is something that we can relate to that week and then try to find keys that'll help us win and keep him consistent throughout the week and try to continue to prepare the players.
I don't know where what that moment is or what that point in time.
It's a long season.
It's a difficult season to try to get to this point, say this team about dealing with success.
Given that so few guys have played this deep into a season, I wouldn't start changing the things that we've done up into this point, you know, that's that's gonna be the message important is it for an offensive coordinator? Can't be willing to take risks and to know when to take the risks.
And guess how is our third maybe changed throughout the season? That regard we always want to be a aggressive way had to be careful being reckless with with but our play with our play calling.
Whether you're special teams coordinator that wants to run something our your defense of coordinator or your you know me that wants something wrong are Arthur.
You know there's some things that you have to take into account, but I think you also have to have a level of aggressiveness in any business to succeed, you have to take some sort of of risk if you want to win and you want to get to the top.
Theme is close or closer than any team I've ever been on.
Do you sense that from compared to some other teams? And how valuable is that? Especially this time of year, to play for the guy who spent a lot of time together, you know, and it's hard for me to sense, um, that I mean, I feel that.
I mean, I'm I'm in a different, I guess.
Position, I think Then then when maybe I was a part of teams.
I feel that this is a close team.
Uh, I feel they play hard for each other.
I feel like they have the trust in one another toe hold each other accountable.
Starting to see a lot of those conversations between players and coaches.
You know, I asked them to hold me accountable, and then the other coaches accountable bombs because we put a lot into it, and we're here together a lot.
This example of that holding you account, um, you know, as faras just scheduling or Hey, you know, call or something I'm coaching or something. I'm teaching.
I mean, asked, Logan asked, can ask, gets the one of the three Musketeers.
It sits up here, don't tell that. Give you examples.
They're always, you know, on me.
But, you know, those guys put a lot of working and those guys that play hard that care great teammates, you know, I'm open for suggestions.
You talked about this moment being too big for guys.
Well, Who's the ese championship? You played a lot of these games.
You know how big this moment is, What's on the other side.
How do you help your guys over with that? Because it's just gets bigger each day.
You know, I think you have to realize kind of where we've come from and how we've gotten to this point and realize that it's actually worked, that are belief in this team and his belief in what we're doing, the confidence in which we're playing with the preparation in the meetings and on the practice field.
The execution during the games in the ability to build momentum throughout the week and try to ignore some of the noise that happens outside this building is what's gotten to this point.
Not about what lies on the other side way don't have to, because I already knew what it was gonna be when we left for Houston that as long as you keep winning, um, you know, there's not 1/7 seed for us to host.
So we were gonna be on the road, and, uh, I guess that was a nice way to put it when we because it were they are.
Playoffs started when we left for Houston, just the way that the situation presented itself, that if you go on the road and you win, you're gonna go on the road and play another team.
And if you win, you're gonna go on the road.
And, you know, that's kind of that was an easy path he didn't have to worry about if we were gonna be home or anything else like that practices we do.
You think, Um, it was likely as anybody else When Wednesday comes seven touchdowns in a row for Kansas City Yesterday.
When you when you see something like that in a football game in the moment of turn like that, what do you preach to your guys? How they Yeah, it's, um you've been out there as a player and you've seen it.
You know, there's plays that happened.
There are only five or six of them.
That happened during the game that you're gonna need.
And you know the messages just cause you give up a play, you're still playing.
You know, just just because they got the ball in the 30 yard line doesn't guarantee guarantee them a touchdown.
But there can't be any panic.
There can't be any flinch that that's when you need your your leaders on dure coaches to get everybody to kind of take a deep breath and figure out that at that point time, you don't need any cheerleaders.
You need players and coaches that that can get players a call, and players could go out there and execute and not have any panic.
Okay, that was like Coach Mike Bert Burkle with the Tennessee Titans.
I will be honest with you.
When he was saying in his press conference was was absolutely true.
But one reporting, um, came came up with the With the red zone efficiency.
They were two for seven in Red Zone.
That's the biggest concern.
If you get if you're two for seven in the red zone.
Yes, what? You're not winning the game, period.
So that's the concern right there.
You can't be two for seven and expect to win a game.
You gotta be more better than that.
I mean, sure, um, that game against, um um, let's say that game, um, I'm gonna say we game what it was it was against the Texas I mean, they had to leave, but they date this. Absolutely.
And I'm gonna tell you Tennessee absolutely destroyed Houston that night.
They absolutely destroyed him.
I mean, Dr Kendry, just put, um, he had over 100 80 something yours rushing in that football game almost 200 yards.
So I would say that look, they put on dark injury.
They give that ball the dour Kendry.
Most like me, maybe 345 maybe.
I say, um, I said close to take carries.
Look, he's going to get the bulk of Carrie.
So, um, if you get that ball from, um, countless Lee So let's go ahead and break down by the match up between Tennessee and Kansas City, we're going to begin breaking this game down for years.
This is from I'm dying.
Best sports. You could go to dine. Best sports.
Dined outsports dot com will give you the ****ysis on this game.
Okay, I'm gonna put my cursor over the rackets, OK? Tennessee is coming in that 11 to 7.
Um, get the city 13 before, but, um, against the spread, this is what we're gonna be showing you.
This is a summary against the spread.
Um, Tennessee is 10 7 and one.
Um, Kansas City comes into the game 11 5 Him one now at home.
It's six and three.
Tennessee at home, but this is going to be a road game.
But, um, Tennessee said, we'll give you that break break down.
Tennessee is seven and three.
So that's on the road that seven and three can't.
The city is 63 coming into this game.
Stop being honest with you.
This is going to be an excellent football game.
It might not be the shootout that was that happened the other night when Kansas City was absolutely lighting up the school board in the second half.
Scoring now 51 point, some toe.
Win the game now.
Okay, this is what will give you.
Points point for this is, um, Kansas City.
Averages 29 points.
Um, uh, Tennessee averages 25.
This is against the, um, have 19 points, 19.
Um, and also it's a 19.
9 now in the over and under.
I say Tennessee takes the lead right here.
They're 10 and eight, but, um, Kansas City's nine and eight and, um, over and underplay.
Okay, the trends is give it a trend. Numbers.
Okay, um, tendency is 71 1 in their last game nine gauge versus A F C, also under its seven and one in their last eight playoff games.
Also, uh, over and under is on the older side at seven and one in on Tennessee's last eight games on grass.
The city is two and seven against the spread in their last nine games at home, and also Kansas City is three and 10 uh, in their last 13 games.
Now head to head the road team.
It's eight and two in their last.
That means so That's the last 10 meanings of these two teams playing a charter.
So So that's the, um, quantity Right there.
Okay, let's give you big quarterback situations.
Let's go over those numbers. Okay.
Ryan Tannehill has 25 touchdowns.
He has seven and deceptions um, Patrick Mahomes as 31 touch sounds and five interceptions, but his quarterback rating is off 108.
107 point eight.
8 that's the um right down we show you in these games now? I mean, we did this broken Break these games down right here with this.
Rock it down for you.
Okay, The 80 s is, uh let's give you those.
Um, Kansas City at home is five and three.
Um, tend to see it's seven and three.
So that's the rockets were giving.
You were showing you right here on the screen.
Okay. On the turn.
Um, Tennessee is fordo Kansas City one and one now on the grass.
Um, Kansas City standing, or, um, Tennessee is, um, six and seven.
Now, the overall stats were given.
Let's go ahead and give you the breakdowns. Okay.
In? I told you, your ds, uh, Kansas City is, um, averaging.
Bring on the 82 yards and Tennessee's averaging 354.
I'm passing the football.
I would say kids say the leads in that area at 2 83 to 207 in the Russian. Your status.
He's averaging 146 year olds on the ground.
1 average on the defense side will give you those numbers.
Tennessee gets up.
Um, 366 year old at the game.
Um, Kansas City gets up 355 yards a game.
Tennessee gets up 257 guards passing on a nom also, um, case, the city gets up 228 yards passing this.
Well, so both teams, I would say it was kind of it's kind of given up over 200 guards.
Um, a game on defense.
I'm rusting. The football.
Kansas City gives up 126 yards at the full 1260.
Um, Tennessee gets up 108.6.
2 average side, say tendencies a little bit better on run defense because they only give up 108.
Now in the last three games, um, Tennessee's averaging 27 points a game.
Um, Kids City's averaging now 36 points a game.
Tony awards for a game.
Kansas City is averaging, um, 373 yards.
Tennessee's averaging 3 46.
3 Now the passing waas Um, I would say Kansas City takes the advantage in this game to 81 to 230 yards a game.
Tennessee averages 130 yards in less.
1 221 Y'all excuse me to 21.
I'm looking at the wrong stats to 21.
So the booty, I would say Kansas City matches are pretty well passing wise in the last reel of starts.
Now rushing Can Tennessee averages 221 yards a game.
That's 5.7 guards.
And, um, Kansas City's averaging 1 28 now when the Defense of side would give you the defense of numbers in the last three games, this is on your screen, right here.
Ah, would look and that the last three games, um, Tennessee gets up 13 points.
Kansas City gives up 18 points that they have a problem given up 18 points a game and, um, total yards.
Kansas City gets a 347 yards.
Um, Tennessee gets a brief 79.
So, uh, Kansas City's a little bit better in the last three games when it comes to, um, total defense now, uh, passing defense.
Kansas City gives up 2 46.
3 Um, Tennessee gets up 248 golds a game now, um, running the football one defense.
Um, Kansas City gets up 101.
Tennessee gets up.
That's an average of 5.
2 yard for a game.
So they're gonna have their They're going to give up those runs that absolutely going to give up those runs because they have Derrick Henry and our cannery.
It's on another level, if you ask me.
He's on another level.
Um, so let's give you the home versus away stats.
Um, Tennessee will be on the road this week.
The averaging, Let's say, Ah, they're averaging, um, 25 points a game.
Kansas City Gifts of 29 points scores 29 points a game.
The, um, offenses, total offenses.
Let's give you the breakdown.
This is kind of stagnated.
Um, paint the city.
ER averages 366 year olds.
A gain told room Um, and I can't Tennessee's averaging 3 56 Passing wise.
Um, Kate, the city is averaging 200 262 yards a game that's on through the air and also can't the city averages 103 yards again.
So that's a pretty good, complete match up right there.
When you look at that complete match up running the football between those two of teams, I would say Can't the city.
Tennessee would take the cake right there.
So Tennessee is averaging 4.8.
Kansas City's averaging five point Cyril.
Now, when the defense's side of football Tennessee gets up 16 points a game, Uh, Kansas City, 21 points a game.
Um, these stats from Don Best sports You were not get the stats anywhere else.
You you'll be getting on here.
I will be breaking them down to you.
Um, I totally know what the ball pen, um, on the defense's side of the ball.
Kansas City gives up 369 yards a game.
Um, Kansas, Tennessee.
3 58 so that it's a complete difference right there.
So I would say in this game on verse of the way, I would say, um, Tennessee bats is a pretty well when total defects.
First of the way stats now passing the football.
This is on the defensive side.
Kansas city gets up to one and 40 yards a game.
Um, Tennessee gets up 250.
So Kansas City, about yourself, Well, in the past defense, that's home versus away.
Um also own, um um, rushing the football.
Kansas City gives up 129.
Joel, It's Tennessee.
Matches up pretty well with 107.8.
So they give up only 107.
8 golds for, um, game.
That's an average of 4.
4 yards on the top of 6.5.
So they so I would say defensively, uh, if I look at it, that would be home burst of the way.
I would say Kansas City, Um, what batch up in one hour? That would be, um um a sane, um So they would match up in passing your wits and match up.
Ah, in, um, so that would be on Lee situation right down that way.
Where Kansas City will match up now Grass verse on grass and Turk.
I will give you those breakdowns right there.
It's averaging 24 points a game can to save these averaging 29 points again.
That's on the offense.
Subside on the ball.
Um, Tennessee's averaging 360.
Uh, Kansas City.
It's at 3 81 Passing wise, I would say, uh, Kansas City matches up pretty well to 81.
9 in the passing game, but Tennessee matches up pretty well in the running game, with 130.
Um, now on, um, let's see how they match up.
I would say, Point wise, um, Kansas City matches up pretty well.
That's on the defense of side.
They averaged 19 give up 19 points.
Can't Tennessee 21 points now on the total defense? Um, I would say Kansas City matches up pretty well with 351.1.
Can Tennessee with 3 61.
4 now in the passing game.
This is the passing side of the football.
That's when the defense aside, um, Kansas City gives up only 229 yards passing.
Tennessee gives up to 55 passing now, uh, running the football.
I would say, um, Tennessee would match up pretty well on the run defense.
That's on one turf.
So Kansas City matches up in two areas.
That's when the grass and a Turk they match up in point, um, given up and, um, total defense and also passing deepened.
So that's 33 areas that I discussed today for you.
Passing totaled defense and points given up.
So that's the breakdowns we give you right here on this show.
I'm with these games.
Okay? The love last.
This is the recent meetings.
Just go ahead and pull this up.
Get this up on my screen.
Recent meetings and the scroll.
It's down to you.
Okay? The recent meetings Kansas City and Tennessee played.
They played, Let's see on, um, no Bama attempt they played against Tennessee.
Did win that game 35 32.
Um, Kate the city at, um, 530 yards of bomb total offense.
They passed before 133 yards.
Tennessee had 225 yards on the ground.
They had 146 yards passing, but they also had 371 yards.
So Tennessee did win that match up.
That was, um um, in November.
That's November temp.
Uh, a bomb 2019.
Now on Johnny Words six of 2018 Tennessee did one to gain 22.
Um uh, so Tennessee has their number.
Tennessee did win those last two back in 2017.
Kansas City won that game back.
So it's been up and down Situation where Tennessee, uh, get games.
The city gets wins.
So that's the less recent means that these two teams played in.
But the last meeting was was this year, um, between the 22 teams now in the, um, Tennessee last 10 games they played against Baltimore.
Baltimore, Um, they had a total of 230 yards of bomb.
Let's see, that was against Baltimore.
They also played the Patriots.
They also played the Houston Texas also played the Saints.
They did lose that game 24 21 day Kinda.
In that game against the Saints, it was They had, um uh, let's say, um, 20 total yards and 47 yards rushing, and he also had minus 27 passes.
Now Kansas City's last game was against Houston.
That was in the, um, divisional round where Kansas City won the game.
There was a high scoring football game.
It was a 51 31 game.
So their lead, their last 10.
Um, they kind of won their game.
So I will get it this way.
This is going to be, Ah, this is going to be a good game.
And this is going to be, um, a game for the ages right here.
I mean, these two teams right here.
Hey, Soutine met each other.
I mean, they've been doing it for the last 10 meetings in this game, so I look at it this way.
I mean, I don't I won't expect ah, high scoring game out of these, but it can happen at any time.
I won't inspect it, but I think it's gonna happen, I think Tennessee.
We'll score some points in the first half.
But Kansas City is gonna come back and win this game because they're at home and they have an absolute good rocket, um, at home, which is six and three.
So that's six and three.
So tendency on the road at seven and three.
But I don't expect them to win this game.
I mean, I don't expect him to win this game at all, so um So once again, this is from Don Death Sports.
