coming to you live, You're on SportsCastr.
It's time for some Tuesday night NHL action from Columbus, Ohio, where the Boston Bruins are taken on the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Blue Jackets currently have a one to nothing lead with under five minutes to go here in second period action.
The Bruins still searching for the first goal of the game.
Thanks for so much for joining me tonight.
Sorry I couldn't be on for the start of this one.
I was common tooting the girl's hockey game at my school, but I am able to do the end of this one, and that puck will deflect over the glass for a stoppage in play.
Face off in the Blue Jackets end coming right up.
So it will be Patrice Bergeron in the draw for the Bruins, and so it will be won by the Blue Jackets.
That one will be taken by Nyquist and Carlos.
There at the far side corner boards in the Bruins end, the hit delivered, and now it's nice entering past spin around backhand, and that goes wide right.
One opportunity there for Gustav Nyquist.
Now here comes Brad Marsh.
On the other way he goes across the goal and Carlo was an opportunity.
Now it's back with Columbus.
Here they go the other way.
This will be chipped off the boards by Jenner in the brew and send it the other way.
Jewel, No icing here as both teams make some changes Now Hainan.
And how about that? Save Frommer's Lincoln's.
He came way out of his goal, John More toe, Hainan **** and a great chance there.
Charlie Coyle found Brett Richey there, who went with the one timer and a nice save, indeed, made right there by humors Lincoln's the scoring chances in favor of the Bruins tonight, 11 to 6, and with 3 53 remaining, this face off will be won by the Bruins.
McAvoy keeps that puck alive right at the blue line.
McEvoy, to the right, circled a shot at a tough angle on the save, made glove side by MERS Lincoln's and now a big hit on the corner boards and Columbus were able to clear, and John Moore is going to get down there for an icing.
Yeah, Coyle, a little shaken up, he took a big hit on the near side corner.
Plenty of opportunities here for the Bruins.
Still not ableto.
Put that puck into the back of the net, though, and that's been the problem.
And what's going on.
Everyone, Thank you.
For joining the broadcasts? I hope I pronounced that correctly 3 34 to go in the second period.
Face off between David Creek and Alexander Wennberg.
She's gonna be thrown out. Those so incomes.
Jake the brusque, the brusque will take it, and he'll win it.
The Bruins with possession crew goes cross slice McAvoy with a slap shot, and that one was blocked in traffic in the slot.
Now it's on the near side played along the boards.
Creature gets a stick on that one.
He'll wrap it around the boards and there for the Blue Jackets of Scott Harrington.
Harrington will send it all the way down behind the Bruins goal for Jaroslav Halak.
Malakal backhand that one off the boards for Crazy creature back to the middle with Tori Cru cru gains the line.
The shot will be blocked and Krejci keeps that puck alive.
Now it's on the far side, Columbus back with it and a shot save made by her lock as he covered the short side.
Now itself passed off the boards by coil couldn't quite get to it as Vladislav Gorkov gotta stick there.
Now it's on in the corner with David Savard the Blue Jackets trying to get the other end.
Big hits allover, thereby Brent Richie.
So now this puck is chipped in the neutral zone, played all the way down the Roo lock.
It's along the end boards, Ciara getting physical, the one timer from the right circle and a save made by your ol och.
Now here come the Bruins the other way.
Coyle gains the line, centering faster. Richie.
He can't quite possess it.
The puck will bounce into the corner, and that will be passed along by Zach Warren ski before he takes a big hit.
Now it's back in the Bruins and Brennan Carlo will go across ice is he finds that they know chart.
Ciara goes up the boards for Bergeron, but their first for Columbus is Seth Jones.
Now it's on the far side boards rally national for the former Bruin getting aggressive there.
Now it's along the imports.
The Bruins really using their physicality on the four check to prevent Columbus from getting it out easily.
Finally, the Blue Jackets advance into the neutral zone.
They gain the line, this one sent down and a cross ice pass will be deflected.
Camper plays that puck up ice.
Now this cross ice on the near side of birds run will be chipped.
Bergeron, though battling forward along the end boards.
David Potter not comes in and gets involved.
Five to go here in second period action.
Torey Krug hasn't for the Bruins.
He gets it up to Charlie Coyle.
Coyle finds posture, posture, not the shot, and that will be blocked.
And MacAvoy can't quite get that down in front of the line.
Now it's a cross ice pass handled by garlic off, but that pass intercepted by Brett Richey.
Richie's first touch takes a hit along the corner boards.
Now Richie and Coil battling for it.
Charlie Coyle comes out with it back to the blue line.
He sends it in and takes up weird bounce off the boards, Hein and unable to get a shot off.
Still with the Charlie Doyle with the shot, it takes a deflection, a save made by MERS Lincoln's the Puck still alive, and does he have it covered up? I do believe so.
What? It sheds at the tail end of the period for the Boston Bruins and MERS Lincoln's comes up big yet again that keep the Bruins off the board once again.
So many chances here for the Bruins.
Where's Lincoln's making the save? Now, where did this puck end up? Oh, yeah, we're swingers with about a full split there and covered it up in the crease to stop late.
16 and 1/2 seconds to go in the period you get.
They're putting a lot of work in here, creating chance after chance.
They can't let the frustration get into them.
They got to keep keep on going, and you know good things will surely come if they keep this up.
This one point off the boards taken bite or ecru crew goes upto.
David Krejci, cranky.
Now back the shot from the top of the circle and that will be redirected wide by MERS Lincolns and the horn sounds to signal the end of the second period.
Well, after two, it's the Boston Bruins zero.
The Columbus Blue Jackets one.
The Bruins coming off a tough shootout loss last night, 65 against Philadelphia.
This is the last game on the three game road trip before they had back home to face Pittsburgh on Thursday.
They liked to get a win tonight.
They haven't created a shortage of opportunities as we head into the second intermission report right here on SportsCastr.
Thanks so much for being a part of the broadcast.
Everyone, we should be in for a good third period.
We got a one goal game here.
The Bruins definitely aren't going away.
They're down one.
Nothing after the second period, you won't want to miss the final 20 minutes because the Boston Bruins have been piling on the chances give give the credit where it's due to Elvin or rather, taking Elvis MERS. Lincoln's.
He's made some big saves, locked you in his job as well, the Bruins getting a bit physical as well.
In fact, they've been extremely aggressive on the four check I've noticed, and so I didn't see you know the first almost the whole 1st 2 periods.
I saw the very end of the second period the last five Nordstrom was getting into it earlier on in the period, and the referees have to split them up and the Bruins not afraid.
Bring the physicality, that's for sure.
And thank you, Jim, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on, Jim? Hope you're having a good Tuesday night.
The Blue Jackets lead.
The Bruins won nothing after two periods of play.
We the second period just coming to an end as we're at Thea second intermission report right here on sports cast of the third period will be coming up before we know it.
Yeah, the Bruins started getting going at the end of the second period.
Hopefully that momentum can carry over to the third period, cause if they could keep creating chances like they did at the end of the period, surely one of those is going to go into the back of the net.
You'd have to think anyways, uh, and I'll get us Three and 1/2 minutes into the game, David Krejci had a breakaway opportunity that was denied by MERS Lincolns.
So the Bruins very early on, could have been on the board.
They had a power play, also just seven minutes into the first period.
They had chances on the man advantage also, but couldn't cash in.
Yeah, it's been a night where they've had about, I think, more than double the scoring chances than Columbus.
They just haven't been able to get the puck into the back net while.
What a golden opportunity for posture.
Knock on that power play that midway through the second period, a golden chance from the left circle for for Chris would rather take it.
Honors Byork and then Columbus were on the power play when the Bruins had a short handed opportunity, a slap shot coming from the point bill in the four on four, a backhand effort by Charlie Coyle was just barely sent wide posture.
Knock with another opportunity on the wrister MERS.
Lincoln's making save after save tonight, keeping Columbus up one? Nothing.
If it weren't for him, this could have been tied up.
We're even a Bruins lead, perhaps, but the room just got just got to keep on plugging away.
They're putting, they're putting in the great work ethic and you can see it out there.
The goals just not coming so far.
But we'll see if the third period that changes Stephen can for will be interviewed in a moment.
I'll turn it up so you could take a listen in that will be after this quick break. Don't go anywhere.
It's the second division report right here on SportsCastr Columbus.
Lead Boston by a score of one to nothing.
Still 20 more minutes. The hockey. Maybe more to be played.
Welcome back, everybody. Let's get to the second period.
Game summary for you. The score. One to nothing. Columbus.
22 to 20 in favor of the of the Blue Jackets.
The scoring chances, though, in favor of Boston. 11 to 6.
The Bruins Oh, for two on the power play.
Columbus over one.
Just about even here.
With the second remission interview, we can pick up one finger stick to our game plan.
You know, they packed the house pretty good there.
So it's not the first right? That's gonna be the 2nd 3rd So making sure we keep get guys to that appointment, we got to make sure there are shots fired through.
What about Columbus? Makesem? Difficult to play.
They're very structure.
There good, coached her well coached.
Um, you know, I think when it comes to it, it's It's playing Cymbals getting ****ed by the D because they feel like the transition fast.
So it's making sure, you know, we play behind them.
Thank you. So thank you.
All right, there is Stephen Can for for the Boston Bruins with the second intermission interview, We still got a whole another period to be played down in Columbus, Ohio.
The Bruins down one to nothing and thank huge for joining the broadcast.
Mary, I appreciate it.
Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday night.
I just got back home from commentating my high school's hockey game for the local TV channel not too long ago, so I haven't seen.
I just went on for the last five minutes of the second period, so I hadn't watched any of the game before that.
So I'm just seeing some highlights now.
The second intermission to familiarize myself with with what's occurred. It's a one. Nothing.
Lead. Four. Columbus.
After to the Bruins yet to get on the board, they had plenty of opportunities, that's for sure.
And you know, I think the third period surely they're going to get on the board.
I mean, they should already be on the board if it weren't for my MERS, Lincolns and all the save Cy's made.
Let's let the Heat zones.
So David Pottruck was hot coming into tonight.
Just one shot in the night and even rating 14 14.
Boone Jenner was cold coming to than that into tonight.
Three shots on even plus minus and we're the second intermission.
It's the Columbus Blue Jackets won the Boston Bruins zero.
I'll be back in a moment to preview the third period for you.
We're getting close to the final 20 years of this one.
Don't go anywhere.
I'll be back with more.
Right here on SportsCastr.
Everybody All right, Welcome back as we look to wrap up the second intermission report right here on SportsCastr.
It's one to nothing.
The Columbus Blue Jackets leading the Boston Bruins.
Let's get to action around the league, Tampa Bay Lightning taking on the Los Angeles Kings tonight and the Lightning tying it up 2 to 2 with still in the first period there.
Now, at the second intermission, the same scoreline.
They're all knotted up at two apiece.
That's a team to keep an eye on the lighting.
They seem to be playing more like the Lightning we're used to seeing in these in these last few weeks.
The Lightning and Maple Leafs perhaps closing in on the Bruins Bruins still comfortably in first place right now, but they cannot afford to slip up much more.
Or then or else you never know what's gonna happen then.
As you know, Champa Bai is looking better.
They're looking better, that's for sure.
This is a big, big night tonight for the Bruins, especially considering they play Pittsburgh on Thursday and Sunday.
Um so so in Pittsburgh's, you know, on the rise as well, so we'll see how the Bruins can do in the third period.
They'll have to turn around in period number three.
The final 20 minutes is up next, right here on sports Caster.
Don't go anyway, anywhere.
The second intermission has come to an end.
All right, Welcome back, everybody.
As we get ready to start the third period, both teams ready.
Take the ice for the final 20 minutes.
The Blue Jackets leading the Bruins by a score of one to nothing.
Thanks so much for joining me tonight.
Right here on SportsCastr.
I hope you guys were having a good night and I'll definitely have a good night if the Bruins can pull out the victory here.
It's a big third period coming up, that's for sure.
And both teams are out there and ready to go from Columbus, Ohio, the last game of a three game road trip for the Bruins as they read Philadelphia last night.
And then on Saturday, they were in Brooklyn to take on the Islanders.
No, they'll return back home on Thursday night when they face the Penguins.
They don't like to go home on a winning note here, and you know, I think they have a great opportunity to do so.
I know they're losing, but they have had chances, folks, and you know, 11 of these shots are going to go in.
Just surely you've got to think they've had multiple opportunities.
But, hey, if MERS Lincoln's continues to play the way he has, it's not gonna be easy.
I'll tell you that much.
So Charlie Coyle tonight against the Blue Jackets he's played 13 shifts, 10 23.
Time on ice, three shots on goal, one block shot.
He has 10 shots in his last six games.
So coil looking to make an impact for this Bruins team in the second half.
Over the second period, the Bruins out shot.
The Blue Jackets tended to, which tells you pretty much everything that into the second period, they had opportunity after opportunity.
Just weren't able to cash in some things.
Something's got to go.
And at this point, especially, the Bruins keep up how they were playing it at the tail end of that second period, that's for sure.
So Ciara having a conversation with the line's been a quick game summary for you.
Sugar Rascal left the game with an injury just 1 12 into the game.
Wennberg, for Columbus, scored his fourth goal of the season in the attacking zone.
Time for Boston, 14 56 for Columbus, 16 22.
See, I didn't even realize that I didn't know Rascal left the game with an injury, and now the shot right off the face off wind goes wide from posture. Knock.
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he scored crude with a shot from the point and that goes in the generous leg Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
The location for tonight's matchup centering pass in the slot.
And that one will go.
What? Yeah, I didn't get to see the first, you know, one and 3/4 periods because I was commentating my high school's hockey game, just got home and went on to do the tail end of the second period and the rest of it here as we start the third, I didn't know that Rascal's the starter.
I just assumed that HELOCs started the net, But no, he got injured very early on in the game.
I wonder how that injury was sustained.
Now I want more details on that 1921 remaining in the third period.
Knock will take a breather on the Boston bench as we resume play face off on the far side.
It will be won by Columbus, played along the boards, Shara with it, DDD as he finds camper camp for along the boards, and that's going to go all the way down the Blue Jackets back with possession.
This will be dumped all the way into the attacking zone of Columbus, too.
Wrapped around the gold running onto this one is David Savard.
That's behind the net. Along the corner.
Sten Lynn plays it down the board of the backhand.
It's now off the glass.
Back in the neutral zone.
David Savard will go.
We'll take it back in.
Columbus is end.
Savard goes cross ice.
Now here is Gabbar Cough and now a nice pass breakout opportunity.
The four back and shot rather in a save made by the penalty coming up on the Blue Jackets.
What a chance for Charlie Coyle on the breakaway opportunity and a penalty is going to be assessed to Sonny Milano.
One chance for Charlie Coyle.
And they're gonna calm Ana for slashing here.
Yep, no doubt about it.
Golden chance for Coyle there, as he was denied yet again by MERS Lincoln, Sonny Malone.
Oh, heads to the box and the Bruins have the man advantage for the next two minutes. Here.
Face off one by Boston Lawson on the power play Tonight over to a two shots shop from the edge of the circle on a save made.
It's back out to posture.
Knock on the near side that goes off the board that's now in the corner and a steel made and Marshawn was lurking there at the posts.
Now it's it's passed out.
Toe toe recruit crew cross ice off the boards that goes trying into pasta.
Marshawn sends that one in.
Now it's around.
Totori crude, crude to the other side with Marsha and Marcia and the shot.
Same made by MERS Lincoln's in Columbus or able to clear while we're just 40 seconds into the Bruins power play and Boston pouring on the chances DeBrusk goes to the right wing.
Wanna move by? Positive.
He shoots and it goes wide.
One individual effort.
There, off the end boards that goes.
Marshawn keeps this buck.
Allies gets a downloaded Jacob Rust, a brusque has pinned against the boards and the Blue Jackets with a chance to clear.
It's gonna go all the way down with under a minute remaining on the power play Marshawn back to get it for Boston.
He'll bring it up for the Bruins.
Creating the center circle goes out to the left with crew crew now cross ice to Martian Martians.
Circles back around, passes it back to Krejci that once taken away, though.
Go all the way back to the Bruins end and it's with Torey Krug.
What's going on? It's Miami.
Cain's all right. You made that. You made a new account.
What's going on? Miami Kings.
You're going live right now? Cool. Cool.
All right, so the Blue Jackets up.
One of nothing that will be clear all the way down the ice.
Glad to have you here on the broadcast.
Cain's for Villanova against DePaul.
You ought to go see. Okay.
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it.
I have an opportunity that just catch your broadcast.
It's back with Camper Knows a penalty coming up on the blue Jackets that the late call camp for gains.
The line sent it to the corner.
Now Sean Corral is there.
Corral E along the boards spin around ****e from Weather and Nordstrom with a golden chance, the pad save made by MERS Lincolns.
Now it's along the corner with Wagner.
He sends it around.
Oh, no, it's not a delayed penalty.
Okay, I thought it was That's my apologies.
I could have sworn that waas.
They put the late penalty upon the ness and scoreboard.
But scratch that puck in deep.
It will be played around the boards.
Here is Brad Marshawn Marshawn battling with it on the far side with Kharkov, and now it's gonna be a penalty on Boston.
This is a delayed call here.
Blue Jackets still with the puck.
You will get it up and find Milano who gains the line and that will be touched by the Bruins.
And Brad Marchand will head to the box 15 13 ago here in the period.
And let's see here.
Yeah, so now Columbus are the ones with the man advantage here.
What a chance for them.
Brad Marchand called for high sticking humans on the power play for the Blue Jackets.
They lead. It won nothing.
Ruins still searching for gold number one.
And now that they're worried about the penalty, kill Charlie Coyle in the face off against Wennberg, and it will be won by coil and clear immediately down the ice by Carlo.
That's a good start for the Boston penalty.
Kill Columbus over one on the power play with two shots.
Wennberg places to the corner.
They know Charlie there for the Bruins now understood York with it.
Bjork gets aggressive than that.
One will be dumped in deep, a great clearance there by the Bruins.
It's all the way back with MERS Lincolns, and he will let that one go for Seth Jones, 1 20 remaining on the Blue Jacket.
Sten Lynn now plays it down the board When Bertha Jones.
Now it's fully know, fully know back toe Jones.
Jones goes along the boards with Feli.
No, now it's behind the net.
One timer and they score.
It's Seth Lindbergh.
Make it Sten Lynn.
Sten Lynn there was struggling with a Rocket, and he goes top shelf to double the lead for Columbus.
And the Blue Jackets cash in on the power play.
Kevin Sten with his fourth goal of the season, coming 5 46 into the into the period, and that is a killer right there for the Bruins.
Brad Marshawn committing another century penalty. Columbus.
Take advantage on the power play.
A nice one timer from Sten Lynn, and he made no mistake about the shot.
Now the score and the Bruins with an even tougher mountain to climb now and right off the face off there is gonna be a penalty.
It's gonna be interference calling Columbus.
So how about that? The Blue Jackets score and then two seconds after the face off, it's gonna be a Boston power play Coming up.
There it is, Right at center ice off.
The faceoff win by Columbus now is obvious right in front of the officials.
So Ric Robinson heads to the box for the Columbus Blue Jackets, called for interference.
And now the Bruins, with an opportunity on the power play there Oh, for three tonight, the Bruins are on the power play.
Can they change that here? Six shots So far on the three power plays, they haven't had a goal.
And even strength.
Never mind on the power play heiress story crew.
Crude goes all the way up, but too much power on the past.
It will go all the way down the ice for icing.
Faceoff back in the Bruins n 1 30 to go on the power play.
Thanks so much for being a part of the broadcast, everybody, I appreciate it.
Bruins down by two here on SportsCastr.
This will be won by crew.
Crew goes up tomorrow.
Shot are shown in the neutral zone.
Plays it in the center toe.
Knock off the end boards, Marshawn running onto it.
Marshawn backhand along the boards, back to the point.
With crude, he goes cross ice.
Now it's back with Marshawn Marshawn into the right circle, and that one has sent wide posture.
Knox there, though his centering pass.
No one could get on the end of it.
For Boston, it will be clear down the ice by Wennberg as the Bruins are halfway through the power play with the Euro story crew.
He'll dump it in back with MERS, Lincoln's and now a breakaway opportunity for Columbus, short handed and oh my goodness.
Losing the handle there on the breakaway opportunity was Nathan Gerbe.
Well, what a chance for Gerbi.
He just lost the stick handling the stick handle their one chance 25 seconds to go in the Boston Power play.
They take it into the attacking zone posture.
Naka Let's that one go for crazy, but it's stolen now.
Here comes Riley Nash.
He plays it up the ice.
It's gonna go all the way back for her locker.
Let's go for McAvoy.
McAvoy quick the other way.
Just 10 seconds remaining on the Bruins power play, screechy around to dance and hide it hide and back to camp for camper goes cross eyes.
Now it's McAvoy all the way back to the dot With camp for centering past Charlie Coyle was running onto that one.
Couldn't quite get it on goal.
It's now along the end boards with Charlie Coyle.
Coil cuts back, and it's now dancing high and helping out hiding along the boards to the corner with Coyle.
Once again, coils pass off the stick of Robinson back into the neutral zone.
Krejci will get it back for McAvoy.
The power play is over with here for Boston.
We're back to even strength of Bruins now over four on the night went on, the man advantage.
Yeah, Now that's gonna be a That puck will go out of play, in fact, took a massive deflection there and we have a stoppage 11.
30 go in the third period.
You don't wanna miss the end of this one.
Columbus, though double their lead, the Bruins down by two.
A lot of work to do.
We'll see if they can come back after this state soon.
We're back from commercial break.
11 and 1/2 minutes to go in this one.
The Bruins down by a score of two to nothing against the Blue Jackets here on SportsCastr.
Thanks so much for joining me on this Tuesday night for some NHL action, and the Bruins couldn't take advantage of the power play opportunity they had.
Charlie Mac, a boy, did all himself from one into the other with a great backhand opportunity.
But Merced Lincoln's able to make the safe, the Bruins still with no goals on the board as they're looking to avoid getting shut out tonight, we're down by two.
Brendan Carlo will dump this in after the Bruins win the faceoff, and that's gonna be in icing against the Bruins.
So a face off back in the Columbus attacking zone, the Bruins perhaps starting to get a little frustrated because nothing's going their way here.
No shots are fine in the back of the net whatsoever.
This face off will be one well, eventually won by the Bruins, it looks like, Yeah, it's now into the neutral zone.
Flying down the left wing is Carlo.
He'll whip it around the gold, one that hit delivered there by Chris Wagner.
Same as Nordstrom along the in boards.
It's now up against the boards, and that shot will be blocked.
And here come Columbus the other way.
Blue Jackets will send it around the boards to go rescue.
Rather make a tiara.
Whole lock is there.
Shot from around the blue line will be blocked, the Bruins trying to get it out big until over there, that one is cotton midair put down by Savard.
Now Carla goes along the boards, and that's gonna be and I sing other rights against the Bruins.
There's been a lot of them even since I've gone on here on SportsCastr.
Of course, big news elsewhere in Boston sports, the Red Sox and Alex Cora had mutually parted ways.
I'm not surprised one bit about that and just unfortunate situation, you know, and I'm sure Alex score is gonna be suspended for at least one of the half seasons to after what we saw the MLB do with A J.
Some of the search begins for a new manager for Boston, and now they're gonna call.
What are they gonna call here? Ah, hand pass.
They call it a hand.
That's what trigger the stoppage in play.
Because it was a hard hit there by Carlo.
He was going at it along the corner, pinning Jacob, will you down to the ground 10 20 to go in the third.
Face off at the red dot We'll be between Riley Nash and Charlie Coyle.
Be won by the Blue Jackets.
Savard chips this one up in the air, taking buys a day.
No Char Ciara who played his 1/1000 game as a Bruin.
When was that? Three days ago.
Against the Islanders or No, no, that was last night. Yeah.
Sorry it was last night against the Flyers.
Yep. That's what it was.
All right, This is behind the blue jacket school.
We played up by garlic off and it's back into the neutral zone.
The Bruins still with possession.
Nice move there by Heine.
It he leaves it off for Richie.
Richie's gonna rifle one in on goal, but that's blocked before it could make its way than that.
Now, Julia, we'll send this one of the corner, so they know Char is there for Boston, reminded the Bruins back in action on Thursday at 7 p.
When they take on the Penguins, I'll be on the call for that game along with Celtics bucks.
It should be a fun night on Thursday.
I won't be able to do the Celtics Pistons tomorrow.
Unfortunately, yes, I'll be commentating my high school's boys hockey game, which doesn't start till eight o'clock.
So I won't be able to do any of the Celtics game, Unfortunately, but oh well.
Here the Blue Jackets.
Varinsky tries to pass it behind the goal that was intercepted.
A walk steers the puck for John Moore.
Cross ice pass year will be jumped right back in by Columbus, a 35 to go in regulation time.
The Bruins, with some work to do down by two this past, will be taken away by the Blue Jackets.
Here they come down the right wing, the shot in a save made by Jara, a lock and he holds on 8 25 to go.
Folks, In this one, it's the Boston Bruins.
Zero. The Columbus Blue Jackets, too.
I'll be back in a flash.
Still, it's not a single goal on the board.
They'll have to change that after this.
Don't go anywhere.
Welcome back, everybody as we are getting into the latter stages of this one.
Brett Richey With a golden opportunity, McAvoy had a decent chances.
Well, the Bruins have had so many chances, so score, but haven't been able to do so all game long.
Nothing Columbus Lee things not looking too promising right now for the Bruins.
But if you can get one past Mer's Lincoln's, who knows what can happen after that? Then we've got ourselves a game.
Some spots or not, that tough batted down in the air by garlic off and now crude with one timer along the boards.
That goes wide, and it will wrap around all the way back for Charlie McAvoy McAvoy Now around the goal of Hallaq, you'll go diagonally across ice, and now this is gonna be offside on Boston, 7 57 remaining in the period.
Good amount of Bruins fans in attendance tonight up in Columbus, Ohio.
So a face off coming up at the red dot and it will be Charlie Coyle up against Pierre Luc Du Bois to block it was from Quebec, and it will be won by the Blue Jackets around the goal.
It goes, the Bruins putting the pressure on, though it's Brett Richey along the end boards.
Now it's Charlie Coyle.
The centering pass.
The one timer is blocked.
How long your sideboards Hein and unable to get clean possession of that one? We'll be sent in deep in.
Alak steers that one wide.
Now it's Krug along the boards, trying to get to Grizzly or rather, Richie.
And now the Blue Jackets looking for a chance.
It's along the corner.
Molano loses the puck coil, gets it ahead for McAvoy.
And now the shot in.
It's a save made by MERS Lincolns.
Now Cranky goes with the pass in front of the goal crease.
But it went by everything.
And now here comes Columbus, the other way from the right circle.
A shoot, they scar and the Blue Jackets go up. Three.
It's been that kind of night for the Bruins, and this time, getting on the score sheet for the Columbus Blue Jackets is Riley Nash, the former Bruin toe rub.
The salt in the wounds, his fourth goal of the season.
It goes from a phenomenal chance on one end for Boston to a goal at the other four.
Columbus, Unbelievable and Nash go in short side.
You could argue that whole lot could have done better with it looked like he was trying to take away the past, not really expecting Nash toe fire, that one on goal.
But that's exactly what happened, and it's Boston zero, Columbus three.
And the Bruins now with a lot of work to do here is David Krejci Krejci behind the Bruins net for Steven Cam for camp across ice over to John Moore.
More goes up the middle for crazy.
Now it's too brusque along the end boards under ZB, you're coming in to tryto win possession.
He stays with it along the boards.
It's now crazy back to the point Stephen can for with it camp for fires it off the boards and now crazy back to camp for the redirection by Maur goes wide.
Right now along the end boards more with the backhand and that want a state.
It's back with Jake the Brusque.
Surely one of these, they're gonna go in for the Bruins, you'd have to think.
And now Lilia ableto dump it in deep and able to make some changes.
Its back behind the Bruins net with Brendan Carlo, You're going the Florida L.
Your mom said she wants you to go to a vacation somewhere.
All right, so yeah, thanks for stopping by.
I appreciated Miami Cain's all right.
Here is when Burt now will be sent off the end boards by Nathan Gerbe E 5 15 remaining from the left circle ists Save made there by Hot Lock and it's back into the neutral zone.
Savard will reset as the Blues have a comfortable three goal lead.
As we're into the final five of this one here on SportsCastr Folino dumps it in Let's put up the ice by the Bruins that sending Pastor Marshawn couldn't quite connect good effort by posture.
Knock on defense couldn't quite come up with a steal.
Now it's back to the end boards with Ciara.
So do you know Ciara plays that up? Foster, Knock Columbus, though, come up with the steal.
Take advantage of the takeaway here.
Folino along the board sends it around this shot say made there was back to Philly.
No, now to the point with Seth Jones, Jones goes cross ice.
But that passed was mishandled there by Warren Ski.
Back in the neutral zone.
Columbus will send it in deep hole, locked behind the net to deal with it up the boards.
That goes Charlie coils there. Now it's story.
Crew goes to the other side.
This will take a deflection.
Hide in the one timer.
Redirected wide timers.
Lincolns. Now coil with it.
Yes, that one taken away from him in Columbus.
It's going to go all the way back to lock on the backhand clearance, and it's getting less and less hopeful at this point for Boston as this puck will go down.
No icing call with it Is Savard.
Now it's Steven Camper camper pinned against the boards.
Tryingto break that puck loose.
Now he gets it to John Moore.
More will circle around the net of Ya Rojo Lock and take it into the neutral zone.
He goes all the way down the ice.
It's gonna go off the end.
Boards possessed by the Blue Jackets. Spin around.
Move along the far side.
This one's not gonna be dumped in by Robinson.
A lock is there for Boston.
Now here is Steven Kim for less than three minutes remaining at this point, and that's gonna be icing on Boston 2 53 to go in the third period.
Columbus up by a score of three to nothing.
Reminder Hockey East's action taking place tomorrow at 7 p.m.
Eastern sign when the main Black Bears take on the Yukon Huskies should be a good New England rivalry game in college hockey.
Tomorrow night, I'll be doing the being pot, and the, uh, the being plot for those of you unfamiliar is the tournament between the four.
Boston College is BU BC Harvard and Northeastern annual tournament that takes place that TD Garden.
I'll be commentating that along with the hockey tournament and, of course, the Frozen four.
To cap it all off, which is always exciting.
Well, the Bruins it's you know there's no goals that are shown on the board, but the efforts been there.
They just the puck hasn't found the back of the net.
Here is Marshawn with it back to the point with Ciara Ciara will send this one in on goal.
It goes wide left.
Good hustle by Marshawn When it back goes cross eyes for Ciara Ciara with a slap shot.
It's off the end boards goes wide under two minutes remaining now, and here come the Blue Jackets, this one all the way back for Brandon.
Carlo Carlo will play it for Ciara char along the boards up to Brad Marchand.
He does not connect to Patrice Bergeron there, and the Blue Jackets will send it deep the other way with the chance to make some changes.
John Moore back to get it under 90 seconds.
Remaining here is closure on the positive, and that one is saved by MERS Lincoln's.
He was looking forays.
He is 82 seconds away from getting it.
The Bruins will have toe look forward to Thursday night's game at 7 p.m.
Eastern time when they take on the Penguins.
That will be another tough challenge to be a good game between Pittsburgh and Boston on Thursday night.
Make sure you check out that one right here on SportsCastr.
I'll be common tuning it along with Celtics bucks.
The Bruins win the faceoff shot the flexing of the protective netting for another stoppage, 1 20 remaining.
Ultimately, it's gonna be a frustrating result here for the Bruins.
Tonight could have easily been a game that they could have been in right now or perhaps could have even one.
And there was a one.
Nothing game for a while there.
And the Bruins definitely seem to, you know, be creating chances and staying alive.
But then Columbus goes down and scores a goal, then another one.
Meanwhile, the Bruins are having plenty of more chances and not being able to score.
Toss of the face off here is Jenner.
So in comes Nash.
The Bruins will win the faceoff.
It's back to John Moore at the blue line.
More with it behind the Columbus School.
You'll play it to the corner trying to get it.
Thio Coil, Who went down? Take a hit.
Excuse me now this will be clear down and the Bruins with possession 54 seconds remaining in the third period.
Coyle, now battling forward along the boards, back into the neutral zone.
It goes, Charles there for Boston.
He cuts the other way and accelerates forward.
Now it's kind of a nice centering pass but unable to get the shot off.
There was under his byork 30 seconds remaining, this one sent into the corner.
Ciara's Ciara's there.
Here comes dancing Huntington.
The Bruins avoid the shut up, perhaps the shot, but even create.
She is off frame.
Now It's back with Eric Robinson.
Can't clear it out.
It's now York with a nice move.
This shot a same timers. Lincoln's.
The rebound will be cleared away by Columbus, and that's going to do it in this one 321 And this game is over from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and look what it means to Elvis MERS Lincolns.
Huge fist pump as he has been a solid goalie for the Blues for the Blue Jackets, I should say bobrovsky went to Florida, but it looks like Columbus have their new man MERS Lincoln's with the shut out the Bruins with disappointing result.
They fall three to nothing to the Columbus Blue Jackets and Elvis MERS.
Lincoln's made big time saves time and time again tonight.
What an impressive showing from him.
Well, hats off tumors. Lincoln's.
The Bruins had opportunities.
They were in the game for a while just couldn't get the puck to go into the back of the net.
Morris Lincoln's for sure the player of the game as he records the shutout for Columbus, celebrating with his teammates.
He is fired up about that one.
Meanwhile, the Bruins will head back home after losing two in a row.
So the Bruins get the Bruins get three out of a possible six points on the road trip they had back home to face Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
I'll be on the call for that one along with Celtics bucks.
That's when I'll see you next, right here on sports cast or have a great rest.
You're not everybody, and I will see you next time. Bye for now.
