But we got Jake Miller run, boys.
Combat was good.
Jake, the Bush friend.
Hell, yeah. Right now, too crazy.
Yeah, it's gonna be It's gonna be an interesting, interesting pockets.
We got some crazy, crazy ****ing topics that we're going to talk about.
Be sure that you guys also join the discussion on Facebook.
Twitter, instagram, Say talk. You name it.
We are everywhere at run, boys fellas Z n e t.
We're gonna go in and dive right into it.
You ready, bro? Cheers to me.
All the rumblings of girls want to do daily Daily, bro.
I forgot to run to the store before this podcast, so I gotta make this one beer.
Last our first topic of discuss of discussion today.
Just how good was Joe Borough last night? And he is he undoubtedly the one? 01 overall.
This year, for sure.
I just fit to because taking up the fact that he's a hometown kid, they need a quarterback in Cincy.
It doesn't really matter you. It was at this point.
So I don't see him being anywhere out of the discussion for the top quarterback.
I don't see anyone going into it.
And, um, I don't think he's the best player on the board.
I think Chase Young is the best player, but I do think the best fit.
For instance, he is definitely a quarterback.
See, you think that I would feel otherwise right? Being that I did interview 40 other rookies out of his previous draft classroom from its 1 19 class, of course, were 100 days out.
We're officially 100 days out, Uh, from the 2020 NFL draft.
Cincinnati, you're on the clock.
He's gotta be number 10 the number one No. One overall.
Just for the simple fact that I mean heading into tonight's game O r t last night's game that we did call on the on the Run Boys Fancy Network, YouTube channel and Sports guys channel.
He had had a 77% completion percentage.
I mean, who who is doing that? Um, he's probably hands out the best college football player that we have seen in in recent years, maybe even since Tim Tebow.
With that being said, with that being stating, you think that I would not want them to go out and and go and get a another quarterback having interviewed Brian Finley.
But I don't feel like that Ryan Friendly is the answer.
I think he showed us that I don't know if he's going to develop ah, develop all type of quarterback or not.
So I gotta go with Burrow because you guys need something.
A Dalton has been mediocre at best, it is plain and simple just time to move on.
It's very rich, tricky, but it didn't beat.
I saw Moritz vs Furrow today like you.
You want long term, and it's one of those weird.
Thinks my mind was like Burroughs a better college player, but I really do like that.
Lawrence is three years younger and Burrows age is a slight concern to be easy.
Order that Lamar Jackson.
Yeah, he should dominate at his age and being the being of the game for so long.
But he's definitely never want to go for a quarterback.
Quarterback's getting we have cropped up, and, uh, I think you're ready.
It will be very happy. The Chase.
Yeah, I think I think that that that the Skins are gonna be happy with Chase Young doing House is already having a having tweeted that one out.
A little something also interested happened there.
I mean, aside from from of course, job burrow last night during the the I guess celebration portion of the national championship, old L.
Beckham Jr had slid money to Jamaar Chase and Justin Jefferson kind of, you know, dap him up.
And when he tapped him up he had some money in his hands.
The season's over.
They can accept that.
Correct? I'm being there.
Good there or they both juniors in prospects.
Yeah, Yeah, I think a crow that could definitely accept it if you can't take anything away from them, to my knowledge, but at the same time they come back, they really can't keep that money.
And they probably already would be suspended just cause you can't have the interaction.
I mean, does Bryant was suspended for having dinner with Deon Sanders? Exactly.
So I just I just saw that pop up for sure.
I just saw that pop up.
And that was fairly interesting, to say the least.
Work for me to find that out.
Um, bear, but nonetheless, you know, Joe Borough, Congrats.
You are gonna be the 101 Cincinnati.
You're on the clock.
You're on the clock.
What is the Odo buying their shoes That sells them back to the coast of the Hall of Fame? Because he bought all the players shoes for, like, 200 grand.
I did not know that he should be that he very by the certain players. Yeah.
So you can sell those back to the Hall of Fame.
Just give the players and money.
We'll see what what what old l does.
I know that there's there is a fan that pretty much gotten chipped off off the game winning TV collar Rudolph gloves and that fan when I had to say that they're gonna donate them to the charity of Car Rudolph's calls.
So hopefully Oh, no.
Oh, Dad would definitely usually for charity with those.
I don't think you keep the money, but this is funny that you have Odell Beckham and some college players.
They can't keep their stuff and sell it back when they're done.
If they choose to, You can't just donate it to the Cultural Hall of Fame, which I didn't know that that I know they have.
You have? Yeah, that one of our one of our college college football guys in the Czech Probably answer that one getting into the into the er to the next topic here, uh, of discussion, this one actually kind of close to home for you and I because this topic is how you found us.
This story is how you ended up becoming part of the rum boys facing that.
We're a company. Part of the team.
Here we are months later.
Of course, you shall not be named removed from the NFL now, former stealer.
Ah, Raider Patriot A B had some drama yesterday on Instagram Live, and I kind of kind of want one to touch on this.
Uh, I'll let you open this one up, Jake.
What do you get your thoughts on the instagram Live B s with a B? Oh, The fact that he had the lack of common sense to screen racism when you was even being arrested or detained or even stopped by the police is absolutely hilarious.
And how did you get the keys to the car in your house? A mess.
You gave her the keys or she do where they were and you told her where they were.
And how can they can't get to school if there's no car and she takes him to school with car.
How is that stealing it anyway? Exactly.
It is a small child as well.
So need I remind everyone out there, especially parents of that may be listening.
This child, for **** sure need a car seat booth or see that best Okay, now so that you guys have a little bit more context.
I did, Uh, you probably see us.
Our Marone boy's name pop up during the Instagram Live comments cause I was in the middle of doing some marketing for interview that I was booked for former emergence sports science.
Next thing I know, I am watching a Antonio Brown live feed of hell calling one of his baby mothers the, you know, the B word corner.
A big corner ***** telling the cops to slam her all this while going on in front of his kids.
This, of course, being something that me as a father, I have a very huge problem with, um I find this interesting.
We bring this up on the show today because what disgusts me the most.
What I found so vile was Antonio Brown's followers was his following People literally sayings agreeing with this things that this man is coming out of his valve.
You know, slammer on the pavement got a, uh, you know, 2020.
No more white women like the stuff that I was seeing was so vile and just so ill and this is the problem.
I talked about this.
I touched on this a little bit.
We were talking about the psychology side of social media.
Um, all the inverse sports science interview that I did this morning.
And it's only a toxic place.
If you're surrounded by toxicity.
A B is surrounded by a toxicity within his own circle.
And on his social media followers, Asia's diving deeper into that rabbit hole.
And then on top of that, why was a grown man holding a bag of candy ****s in the first place? Yeah, it most walker part of that whole thing are people who are saying, Oh, he could have been right in the right situation.
Yeah, but why address it in that way? Oh, yeah.
Why is arrested in that way? I address it in front of those kids and he said that that she had came to the house in a uber The car was woman.
The police show up.
The car was parked in a position and still idling in a position of this woman just pulled up.
She had just pulled up to the the Hollywood Florida mansion that baby is staying in So And if she's taking him to school, why is she coming in an uber to take the child to school? How and why would you even have your kid? Well, you're this smaller NFL star.
Former now keywords.
T big Bucky at all.
Why are you having your kid? Yeah.
Why are you having your kid stay or go to school in a Cuba? You should be having your kid.
When you got mountain, you got cloud your kiss me pulling up in Bentley's, which was a Bentley that he was claiming that she was trying to steal The police had asked for a notice of eviction.
Maybe could not turn up with the paperwork.
The whole thing was was just a big, big mess.
Um, it was absolutely, quite quite wild.
Um, I did try my best during the live stream to be Abie to calm down.
I found it fascinating that Jim Oh, the icon who had previously reactivated his INSTAGRAM account cause he's getting ready to promote his new podcast had messaged me during last night's play by play and say that he's completely done with a B.
And as we all know, Jim Oh, is a close friend of Antonio Brown, and he let me know that their their friendship is done is completely done.
I want to point out to our public that is not how you act.
I want to point out that the runways ever blew up to the point.
To where? You know, I had a B type money.
My kid is going to school.
Not in a god**** uber my baby Mama, You know I cannot stand You know what, baby mother? She wouldn't be staying in a hotel.
He was like, Oh, well, ask her where she say she stays in a hotel.
Ask her how many kids you guys don't matter how many other kids she got.
It doesn't matter.
She has two other kids, but two of them in surely can't buy you.
You're the rich one.
Take care of your **** responsibilities.
So please you take an uber toe taxi to school in New York City.
Well, that's that. That's relatively common.
I understand that.
But still what really? In Florida, Hubert, it was It was an absolute mess.
A B a suck said that you keep giving us stuff.
But as long as you keep giving us cheek to report on me and Jake got a job to do.
And the worst part is I don't believe the other two.
I will say alleged victims.
At this point, it's not totally closed because they're just so farfetched.
But what he's doing makes me always believe it's true.
Oh, yeah? Oh, by the way, I could believe he did that right now.
That's what the *** was like.
I never went Go out of my way to, like, say, you get this without evidence.
But you did something.
By the way, this is the same baby mother, the same girlfriend.
The baby was messaging the night that he was threatening Britney Taylor.
This is the exact same woman and, you know, and it through those message.
You know, she was a rider. She was holding him down.
She was holding him down.
So this whole thing to me makes adds validation to all the other cases.
Um, he's a moron.
He's never to step into my NFL again.
Um, xfl do not pick up this clown.
I've been seeing a lot of names.
All the XFL is gonna enjoy a B storyline.
Let's remember that Oliver Luck, the father of Andrew Luck, is now the one that's running the XFL.
This is not the old school McMahon XFL folks.
Let's just keep back straight.
Moving on here to our next topic.
I think way kind of.
I think we gave a be all all that he could handle right there, huh? Hey, we were nice.
I saw Marcus Spears had to say yeah, on ESPN.
I have not seen other.
Any other opinions surrounding it.
We're having a backs, especially especially for it, for for anyone that does that.
That's a father.
Um, next up here on the run report, you know, Right.
Clark had a field day, too.
He could not stand it all it all. He can't. He cannot.
He cannot stand San Antonio Brown.
I'm a look at some of the other other guy's perspective on this.
I want to see what other people have to say.
Uh, coming up next year on the run report.
Join Adam in this past weekend.
Um, I love this one.
I love this one.
I love how the patriots are just kind of starting off our first.
Like, like 30 minutes or so here on the run report.
So joy element essentially had vandalized a another Drivers, um, Mercedes beings seamlessly while drunkenly jumping on top of the hood of their Mercedes Benz.
Now, I've heard different stories.
I have not seen footage, but I have her different stories that he I know for a fact that he was intoxicated because that's the only way to pulling some **** off like that first.
All Oh, second off.
I believe that he hopped out of his Mercedes and then jump on top of the other person's Mercedes.
Jake, is that what we're thinking here? Yeah.
Yeah, I think they were just, uh, hold here.
Said something about it because he saw the whole situation.
Yeah, I think it was essentially, they were just jumping around with a bottle, liquor and hand and have a good time.
I mean, they thought this would be cool.
I really No, I would not be cool with the dude stopping I'm receiving.
Though it was so hilarious.
Is that literally a couple of days prior to this incident.
Well, actually, oh, a week prior to this incident to give the accurate timetable.
Julie Ellen had went on his community tab, um, on on a YouTube and say it.
You know, I'm gonna just take a break from YouTube for a little while.
We're gonna get back to the constant will be more focused than ever a duff.
And then this happens.
They didn't they? Julie, Alban is some great concert.
Like what I want to know.
And I wish I was there to see it.
Did you, like, full on Adam Sandler, Mr Deeds, The Mercedes line over the car and not really step on it.
Yeah, they look like they could get away.
Somebody broke the first thing that I would have done.
Is I not jumping on top of it Would have been my life.
I would have went for the Beverly Hills cop Eddie Murphy slide, you know, But it sounds like, you know, like you said they were having a bottle of liquor.
Um, they were having a good time.
You decided he was gonna jump on the do press charges.
My thing is, I'm not pressing.
If I'm we're all drinking.
We're having a good time.
Probably not gonna press charges.
I'm like, Yo, there's a shop around the corner.
Let's go get this fixed.
I believe it happened in L. A.
It was, uh yeah, yeah, There's body shops everywhere.
Like I think it was outside of that.
Laid his home town like West River or something.
But yet exactly.
It was somewhere.
It was somewhere around around l A.
Um and, you know, the Patriots are into this is gonna be forgot.
Just imagine if Corner a record of this all broke.
If Connor McGregor did this was this is a very McGregor asked me because the patriots get away with this.
I mean, and I also I mean, what would l mean, like, I want to know.
I want to know if Portnoy was around from bar stool sports.
Probably ****ing encouraging.
Encouraging this on because those who are really good friends that sound like something that both of them would definitely ****ing do You think so? I just want to know the full story.
It sounds crazy.
Just as crazy as the next thing that we're gonna we're gonna get into.
This is a pat McAfee.
If he goes in the media moment where he just makes fun of nothing in the c****.
You said you said where he makes fun of life.
I want to catch that one more time where he makes one of light.
Oh, everybody got arrested for jumping into a c**** when he was wasted drunk, like his rookie year. Yeah.
I do think that if he goes, probably that all they can always make fun of this.
That's a good thing for him.
Actually, it is a good thing for him.
I think that this is this is gonna be one of those moments that he's gonna highlight later on. Like you said.
Like like Pat McAfee.
Media is definitely up.
Is up his alley? Um, definitely up his alley.
The natural podcast explaining actually should either own podcast on his channel explaining what they really should.
They really should.
I think that that that that that's the next big thing.
Big meeting for Edelman Edelman podcast life.
And then you got a feature. The run, boys.
We could have a good laugh in a beer together after this one.
Um, next up here, this one is freaking hilarious, hilarious, and also judicially kind of ****ed up.
Um, Patrick Chung.
The statement has been released on the cocaine possession charges that he was him up with before the start of the season.
Um, if many of you remember, um, Patrick Sean was away at training camp and a alarm suddenly some the **** how went off at his house with no home. He's no, no, nothing.
No. Girls have not been staying over.
The police responded to the alarm at the house, entered the home and just somehow, randomly ****ing found cocaine.
Like And her report part of the initial police report.
It was just sitting out.
Now, I don't know who give up.
Just leaves stuff like that hanging out or anything like that.
But, um, this is a story.
This is a developing story.
What I find so very interesting is one the internet of the home with no one there and then the police just finding **** out in the open.
Like so this may just took off.
So it's a training camp him, nor has made have the audacity to clean up after themselves or nothing.
Right? So that's the first thing that the first thing that I find fishy.
The second thing that I find fishy is how the punishment and we're gonna get into this statement from the New Hampshire Police Department came about.
And how was wordy? All right, Jake, give me one second.
I'm gonna read this year.
Um, this thing this comes out of Loki.
Ah, New Hampshire.
Uh, belt belt snapped.
County the parties have agreed to resolve the pending criminal criminal criminal charges against Mr Cheung.
Under the following terms, the state has agreed that it will file what is known as a traditional no process of the charges, which, in other words, they're gonna kind of away.
They're gonna punish Mr Cheung.
What this legally means in Latin is there gonna for for transfer to transition from, you know, the legal Latin language into English.
They are prostituting and charging Mr Young or Mr Cheung, but he's not gonna walk away with a criminal record.
Here's what gets really interesting.
This means the state has agreed to conditionally dismiss the charges against Mr Cheung with the explicit understanding that Mr Chung will abide by the following conditions.
Mr Chung will remain of good behavior for a suit for a period of two years.
This means he must not commit any crimes, felony or misdemeanor or any major motor motor traffic violation.
So even a fluffy speeding ticket he's done, Mr Chuckles submits a periodic drug testing at a lab.
It's worried to be approved by the state according to the following schedule, once a month for the 1st 12 months, and they're after every 90 days for the balance of a two year period.
Cheung agrees that he will provide the state with copies of said results, and we'll sign a waiver allowing the state to communicate directly with the laboratory to verify the results.
Mr Cheung further agrees they, the specific form of testing to be before, must be approved by the state.
Um, Mr John will also perform 40 hours of community service.
Secondary service will be connected to drug abuse prevention and education and will be completed within 12 months.
At least 20 hours of secondary service will be undertaken in New Hampshire.
Chong will provide proof of proved to the state of the completion of his community service, and he also waives his right to a speedy trial.
So, essentially, Jake, I'll let you go first.
What do you What do you make of this? Well, he definitely that in the house.
That doesn't surprise me.
I don't think it was invited, but not his, because I'm sure hasn't.
Actually, he has cameras, right? This for safety purposes.
So if he did, it was planted.
So the fact that you agreed probably shows that that evidence was there.
And I think the reason that you really can't go at him with any real charges is because they have a warrant to begin with.
No, technically, they did all they could, and I think this comes down to it. He has a drug problem.
This is probably good for him or somebody in the house of the drug problem.
It's probably good, but I don't know if this be married with kids or something.
And it was his wife going through something, but yeah, it was not planted.
That was definitely there.
I'm sure there's cameras that showed it was there in this system or his treatment.
Fought it in the slap on the wrist for something that I guess his phone.
Even if it's no hiss, I don't know how that got into his house.
Exactly. I mean, you don't know. I don't know.
The police don't know what I don't with the punishment aspect, especially because you do not have a warrant.
That's it to insert.
So with with the punishment aspect, you're essentially taking away two years of this man's life.
He already submits suits to pretty much around lines of the same drum policy.
All they did was totally copy and paste the NFL's drug policy.
Once you get top, once you get caught and copy their whole policy, you know where it's like it's an 18 month thing.
Then you got, you know, every nine days after that they did the exact same thing.
Except they're just making a little bit more straining with the community service, like, Well, if he doesn't have a drug problem, we're not able to prove if he has a problem.
He's never had any charges before.
I just feel a lot of it is super excessive.
And though that the state of New Hampshire is trying everything they can to get money out of out of a a big player, because let me just explain this you guys drug testing, state funded drug testing costs money.
And we're on basically a probation style, type of type of deal that Patrick Chung is gonna be facing.
You have to pay fines as well, so it's coming out of the taxpayer's pocket.
Plus, it's because of state funded program.
Plus, it's coming out of your pocket.
So I think that is kind of just like a big.
It's a make an example out of him and let's extort some money at the same time.
And that's the part of this that I I could really disagree with the It should have never took them.
They took them a full entire ****ing football season more than the triumph of a concern who were in the House, has Coke and uses.
That's what I'm saying.
So it's like, Yeah, I think you took a hit for somebody that owes him money because I think he could have stitched on somebody really quick. Oh, yeah.
Patrick Chunk probably easily easily flipped him for me.
He kept it since I was down.
It's unfortunate for Mr Shawn.
I won't be honest with you, brother.
I feel sorry for you because don't think.
I don't think that it didn't matter that it's fair.
I don't think that it's right.
Here, let's let's get incidents into the, uh, the next topic of discussion here.
I don't even remember when I started.
I'm like, having a time stamp these as I am going through.
We saw that one yet 33 thirties.
Well, say 30 30.
Next topic that we have after after the NFC playoff matchup.
Bill Brian did go ahead and made, uh, admit that he had no place.
He did not have a play available on that.
That huge was at fourth and 24. 24.
Something like that.
Or like they had it.
All they do is go for it, you know? You know, 41.
It was a fortune one.
They chose a plan is what it waas.
What do you think? What are you thinking about this one, man? I mean, it is the A F C round divisional round.
You should have.
You should be game playing that all all season.
You don't have a play that gains one yard.
That's what I'm saying.
What yard? It was one yard.
I feel like every team, mostly every team in this case and probably goes into a game with at least 10 to 12 4th down planes.
They want to run a certain distances that are kept track.
They didn't go for it on fourth out the entire game, to my knowledge, minus that fake punt.
So you had a play.
I think he just didn't want to say that.
It was a bad play, calling me how to get out of it.
And they they had to take the penalty yards away.
Since I'm out, they just decided to, you know, So there's no So there's zero chance in your mind that you believe they he legitimately just mean Bill.
Brian is notorious for choking in the playoffs.
You have 4000 place.
You have fourth in short plays out.
Okay, White told you are I mean, I think he did what I say that the play was a bad look.
It would have worked at the information, but yeah, he had something.
I think it's still work out, I think he said he didn't play ready for that information, so even if he had, I think you have something in mind, and I don't think it's horrible for it.
That's a big problem.
How do you do? Worry every scene.
Every team is all it is at.
Nine times out of 10 is either a Q B C's Q B sneak or a simple draw.
Play needle for it just goes over the top.
You have to pile up just exactly none of these things that we have seen time and time again, but are really simple.
When we talk, exes and nose were accomplished.
I think that you were just a dumb ass, Um, and panic and like normal, you choke in the playoffs against another choke artist and Andy Reid A.
You choke so hard that that one moment is what allowed them to be able to regain momentum.
You had a 24 point lead, and then it swang 20 points.
How do you do that? And the hunter for that, he said after the game that that was a bad read.
He should not have called fate.
Yeah, what's so of hundreds.
You doesn't make the right choice.
That or don't put the plane.
The plane exactly.
And with the punters 33.
Whoever the runningback waas or yeah, think exactly.
Like you said, I mean, there was There was no place to talk about that with the planter with the fake where Reed had shows that he was gonna try and run it.
At what ****ing point is the safety? Outrunning any of those guys, especially, also sings It's made up of your second and third stringers. Usually.
Maybe there's a couple starters out there, and they're usually those strongest online and the fastest it turned to speed.
What? At what point? Reed in that position, Did you think that you were gonna ****ing outrun any of them? That that that is what? What what? What astonished me is that they tried to rely on a safety on that play in order to get the first down.
Absolute And hunters? No, how they're trained, just like quarterbacks to be able to to make make reads and make adjustments at the line.
Well, I think that call was further running back.
E think they want the running back to see the matchup entrusted the back to make that choice.
So they went up I think the back said I like the look I know it's going to expect.
I think I could get passes, can pass the specialty.
But I wouldn't say the safety on the other team made a tackle.
Yeah, Yeah, I think it was a backup.
Lights a fuse in a temple, But yeah, I think that was up to the running back to make that decision.
That gets four yards.
Brian, you, sir, are awful.
It ***, *** ends, meet.
Need need to figure out something like he's a GM too.
So they're gonna fire him as a coach and gm exactly.
The McNair family.
They're really taking a huge step back.
If you fired Bill O'Brien right now, you're taking a huge setback.
And if you're a Texas fan and Bill Brian is fired, look for a regression before automatic aggression right out the gate.
It's the playoffs.
That doesn't win.
Yeah, he is. The second thing is for eternity.
Marvin Lewis with pride.
That was a joke.
I 100% degree, 100% agree.
Poor Bill O'Brien.
You just got roses here on the run report.
You're the reason why the room is always gone.
This week Getting into the next topic 444 air bringing me air.
Uh, being me, I'm sorry.
Still is not a NFL coach.
What are your thoughts on these, Jake? You know, I'm gonna feel strongly about this one.
Uh, the brand should have hired.
Yeah, he's been around a long time.
The brand should have hired me to do it.
So I'm very upset about this.
I think the hard part for him days he has, in my opinion, I know you disagree.
The best quarterback.
E think he has a top three offensive mind as a head coach, so it's hard to really point him out and say he deserves credit for it, but he calls the plays.
You designed the place.
So he does do it.
Andy Reid used to do Andy Reid's just a head coach, and I think that he's behind a great coaching tree.
The point of where he's getting punished for having a good coach quarterback.
And, yeah, he's getting older, right? How did you know? Oh, God, I have no idea here.
Let me look that up.
You continue with your I know you could see your take.
I'll look that up.
Yeah, but I At this point, it's hard to find a coaching job as you age.
And if you're not in a very experienced coordinator, that gets a job early, you're using according to your career.
And I think that's what even what he's gonna be stuck as.
Yeah, I mean, he's He's 50 years old now, very rare. Sometimes.
You see, guys like first areas get hired rain too late.
My opinion. He was like, 64.
All right, Why? Yeah, it's It's a joke.
The brand should have hired me to do it and was so messed up about.
About about the enemy thing is, you know, I I don't mean to make it.
Make it about this on the show, and our brand is, you know, that we don't talk.
We try not to talk about such things, but there's literally a freaking rule in effect.
Okay, call the Rooney rule.
So where's there should be X amount of of of African American staff or just period minority staff, and those had coaching and GM style positions.
And even with that rule in place, it didn't happen. Nothing.
Nothing happened out of any other team.
There's what, 56 seems where he could have landed a job, and I definitely felt that the Browns are.
The Giants were definitely B B B team said.
That would have went in to go and get him, especially especially the Browns.
And recently to do it is because they fired Dorsey from Kansas City.
Not one of your guys.
That's the reason they didn't do it has get out.
And that was going to be one of things out that I was gonna mention going.
Let me take this city really clean.
Yeah, it's It's embarrassing, Hasn't I think, has Low is the guy that will never trust anybody to make the decision for him.
And it goes to the point of even.
Did you hear what he said about Kevin's too fancy? And the new system? They're gonna have Friday meetings? I believe I believe that I did read, read something about it before for the audience.
He essentially wants to have a setup where everything that the coordinator and head coach doesn't with the game plan.
Offensively, they want to run to the ****ytics department has love for them to approve.
That was already a piece of the problem with my God.
That was really a piece of problem.
That's this is great.
I love the idea to have a guy that doesn't know football.
So the literal problem, anything. Freddie Kitchens.
I believe it was like a week, four week, Week, five press conference.
He's like, You know what? We have these ****ytic skies and they tell us that these are the numbers.
These are percentages, and this is why we went for it on fourth found.
He tried, he got, he got ring, he got reamed in the media.
And we were part of that media that rain down because of listening to these Alice I.
So we're literally going to repeat the exact same ****ing mistake that the guy that just got fired for just tried to defend himself or Cleveland your ass backwards.
Your bass ackwards in the world That's at nine.
Yeah, Cleveland has lumps.
The Cleveland hasn't.
It was so ironic.
Nothing out of the zones we're on the topic of Hassen.
I am interested to see how McCarthy runs things in Dallas because him and has lived during the off season.
We're sitting back playing, playing the coach.
During the roaring of McCarthy's absence in the NFL, I met her to see how that works.
How much of people still shamelessly from each other.
You know, it's it's a it's a habit.
It's how you get better.
It's how you are new things.
You know, Apple wasn't the first ****ing iPhone or wasn't the first cell phone.
They just took all the different functions of the cell phone and made it better.
Someone was already invented.
It was a suitcase, and she they stole black Bears Idea exactly exactly that.
That's all that happened.
You know, same thing with this.
I want to see how much shamelessly was stolen from a card key from Has LEM and vice versa and how it's going out.
I was going t o affect the to and their current roles in their current careers.
She ****, I feel like we broke that one down pretty well.
Do you have anything else surrounding So great.
Airbending me, dammit! someone higher, Higher room getting into the, uh it's the next one here on the docket.
We're gonna kind of Segway over into baseball.
Actually, I'm sure you heard the Astros Houston Astros.
Um, one suspended.
It was their GM and owner, I believe, um, suspended for a year.
So they cannot be around baseball for a year and then further Maur They are fired from the Astros.
Many of personalities are on sweater so on and so forth, saying that ashes have not been penalized enough.
How do you feel about what is happening to the Ash Rose? Tell me more So Pete Rose is banned for life, for gambling on James, for his team to win.
This team was cheating to win, and Pete Rose is not cheating to win it all.
How are how are they not banned for life? For giving this? And I think it's strong on both ends.
I don't think there should be a lifetime again, but this is worth about Pete Rose.
No doubt my opinion, and they are not banned for life, and it's embarrassing me where they should be a leased out two years they were utilizing.
I mean, especially when you look at when you look at the space that Marine I have mentioned earlier earlier day on the the merchant sports sides Podcast house featured on that We're in a technology industry where if you don't like something, don't worry.
It's gonna change in five minutes.
They were using technology, which gives you a great advantage to still signs and pretty much measure pitched house that you live in.
Communicating that to the mound via a ****ing trashcan Kate ings beating like a drum.
That is a significant significant advantage for for battered.
To me, that's me.
That's it's significant if I know what pitch is coming and if by all and I've also studied the picture that I'm going to get.
So I know the trajectory of the ball, the spending and ended up, you know, I've watched how they throw a fastball curveball sort of over multiple times.
Yeah, to me, this is this is a huge problem, but I do feel it that they were punished well enough and easily enough to wear it is what it is.
Um, this This is where we are, right? And I guess you could say, insert in terms of punishments.
There was gonna be a way that that that the owner was probably gonna be out where the GM was probably gonna be out here regardless.
Because Zuna comics, um, I highly doubt that baseball was gonna continue to just look past that.
Um, so I mean, I mean, with that, I feel like the punishment is it is Bayer.
Could Maur have been done? And if more was done, would I be disagreeing? No, I would not.
Heiress fair. You ****ed up.
But it does make me feel better about my nationals because they're known as some cheating wars and we're champions and maybe Cleveland in the playoffs twice.
I know they did.
I'm sorry to rub that in.
I did not mean to do that.
So very questionable there.
It's very, very questionable.
What do you think about that title? Is there an Astra? It's never gonna be the same.
It it doesn't count.
I like there should be mass tricks.
I saw a Dodgers fan saying So now we're the World Series champions.
That was like, You might have a debate on that because it was it was a whole game.
It was a home you choked away with, Uh, and they were using that in the game against the Dodgers.
Game six of the Dodgers on Twitter were pretty vicious lot last night.
Last night, last night.
Oh, the mandate came down from the MLB that all clubs affected that by by the after shooting where did not pretty much speak out, say anything? They weren't close to celebrate it.
So what? So what the Dodgers date was pretty much retweet The ****ing statement out.
It was pretty hilarious.
I, um I definitely enjoyed Dodgers.
Dodgers fans are sa***e, and so is their management.
And is that going to be a hand? The investigation into the out of scoring out for the Red Sox? Because he started, he was doing it.
It sounds like there is gonna be, um I think that ESPN we'll be there.
They were just reporting that there's gonna be a deep diving, so I'll definitely get more.
Uh, I think that just kind of came out while we were on air, So we're gonna get more on that as well.
Uh, let's see here.
Getting back into actually, we're gonna kind of skip around of the script here.
Of course, if you don't mind, man skipped around.
So, McGregor, we're gonna get in the UFC.
Connor McGregor recently was on the area of Lonnie show.
It's kind of a portion of doing a cynical press thing that all fighters do.
They gotta gas up the fight that they're about to, uh, you know, participating.
McGregor talked about facing Mayweather again.
Ah, **** out Deal.
And then also, this current may fight against Cerone.
IPAs being one of most lucrative fights in his May career that he has had, uh, what do you make of? Kind of kind of, I guess you could say McGregor's but McGregor's, you know, kind of loud mouth talking the same **** that we're always getting from him.
I would actually say sound pretty heavily, obviously with two ***ual assault charges.
The cell phone isn't It was like a college in Miami and the 55 year old man picture taken left hand for McGregor.
Uh, and I I just think McGregor at this point is making it up very clear that he needs super fights to come back, and I don't blame him for it.
I don't like McGregor, but I understand what he did for the sport.
I understand that he has made enough money he doesn't need is not to chase titles.
He's in it for the super fight.
And I think that what do you know what that is? I am not strictly a UFC fighter.
I'd better wait for that price fight.
And if he wins, I have zero doubt.
He's gonna call out zero down.
He was the money fight.
Yeah, I think I think I think that is that Is that it's all money? Um, you know, from from here on out, um, I don't necessarily like, you know, the whole him wanted to go back to boxing, But you don't meet me.
My father being being Italian and Irish.
I grew up in the sport of boxing.
I didn't start learning how to really You last my legs and grappling and stuff.
So around about 11 12 years old, um, boxing as kind of kind of liniment.
They've been on Main ST so I understand.
From a cultural standpoint, the Irish are very prideful boxers.
I didn't want it to cost to participate, but I like you need someone focus on m m a Sudanese have be focusing on.
I believe that that is sports psychology.
They, you know, mental health, those things.
They all go together and they mesh well, and I think that he's someone that easily working on it's mental health.
Oh, and who he is as a person right now and becoming a better positive person.
I think that's only gonna happen by him getting back in the ring, getting back into the discipline side of martial arts, him focusing on M m A and focusing on titles The money has corrupted him and made him this big, bad ass said that he's walking around doing all of this money changes people.
Money takes people that we saw it.
We we used to watch a **** comedy sitcom Skip sitcom back.
They called problem David Stay Sopel.
Show that propel show.
And what did he always used to say? You should never have your morning like you know, he would stop on the couch and he was making fun of Rick James.
Money changed money changes people.
If we can see that in comedy, we can see that now.
Yeah, I part of B 44 because I wasn't McGregor fan.
And the former McGregor fan in me wants to see him go back to who he was like he was a very positive person, a very positive spirit, back pain before the money before the fame.
I want to see him go back to that.
Um and I think the only way to do that it is a win competitive matches in the competitive fights.
I feel like he needs to.
You need to beat Cerone e, you know, because obviously erroneous set up for him to be a mega fight, which is why the paydays like that and I like money came out.
McGregor is making five for the gate and I'm already thinking, too, before the gate and a pretty points.
I'm greatly probably walk out with heat.
He's gonna walk out with 6 to 7.
Yes, even throw me wear, lose great first round he deserves.
But this is Let's face.
It is probably gonna be the end of ceremonies.
I think you might walk away because if you beat McGregor, nothing else he could do exactly no there's really not.
Not not for not for for for for strong.
He's just not that that highly marketable of a guy, even the P one snacks that he's that he's marking sales are not because of people are buying because ceremony, it says right, just because it's a protein buckets And, you know, um, he's just not sort of just kind of that name.
And that's why I feel like with the money that McGregor's being given for this fight.
I don't agree with the money side of it because you're not fighting a money name.
Um, but I did it.
You know, your due up next to the biggest thing on the end of a the UFC pretty much needs you just as much as you need.
You have C because of how much of a household name you are.
You're the only fighter that is literally a household name.
Um, So with that being said, with that being stated, McGregor, I wish you the best, but I think that's your focus needs that needs to be changed.
Like like he was saying in the interview, I feel you should not be giving a look.
In the words of you a fork about god**** quite impact Yao or trying to fight.
Oh, our Mayweather again.
Your focus needs to be getting back, getting getting back to being a champion.
You know, I like champion McGregor over the fourth show.
MacGregor for sure, for sure.
What's weird is though the first show McGregor, I think, was his chase for money and the titles he thought would bring in money and fame.
And now he's less show that he has the money and fame, and he knows it.
And I think he's really calm down his personality because he noticed you to start.
I think that's what he will don't like him if he was still very getting attention seeking in the media and never change his personality, I think people would like.
But the clear change in I know of the star I'm gonna get paid by somebody.
I think that's what people just like him so much now because he kind of sold out for the gim**** in a way that I respect.
But you stopped living it.
You mean exactly exactly that.
And I think that that that that's that's where the disconnect is me as a former McGregor fan that I have, but I can't call myself a fan of McGregor.
I can't find myself as an ****yst trying to support in the famed McGregor.
I am a human outside, being an ****yst and a human at ****ing heart.
Um, and I will say the only that my opinion could be slated is for him to get back on his feet and become the person that and go back to being the fire that was passionate about fighting and passionate about the sport.
I questioned his passion right now because it feels like it's just about the money.
Um, I don't even know.
I don't mean he looks like he's in pretty decent shape, but I don't even know if he's really in shape.
You mean he's always in shape that Jesus didn't actually ripped? Dude, I mean, he was coming 1 45 That is this cut.
He just never really got the weight on that.
He was not well at the sea will have to see here.
Just give me one second.
I will go ahead.
We'll start up our next segment Pretty much half time.
Right here. Y'all.
I hope that everyone has joined the wrong report.
First time doing this.
Now we're back in back in back recording here, Spotify.
But I'm no, I I want 2% agree.
I feel like that.
That that that's why I need nor for regret, her toe to go back to being a being in the fire.
I could actually favor, um next up by weight, we are gonna be calling that fight for those of you that they do not know anyone that is do that's gonna be tuning into this.
We will be calling that fight on SportsCastr and YouTube.
Um, I am going to switch over to a new format where podcasts like this, um, you know, the wrong report.
Run, boys after dark, we're gonna start doing audio virgins.
Plus the video versions of these and then yeah, I play.
I play will always be video only, uh, keeping kind of, you know, on on the same.
I mean, we're not We're not.
We're gonna be getting getting out of fighting here one second.
So getting out of the realm of fighting, I want to kind of take it over into basketball.
Starting off with uh, college basketball coach Roy Williams as not been the happiest with his U.
N C men's basketball team.
I don't know if you've seen he's called them the least talented group that he's ever coached say they're not ready for, you know, four run, so on and so forth.
What do you make up of a coach Williams and how hard she's being on his kids right now? He is trying to summon his inner A John Calipari, I think, where he was always kind of like our team's trash worst team ever.
Coaching, toughen up.
I know she's been closer to a player's coach in a way of He never criticized the players publicly, and I think he was really just trying t o get his team together.
And at this point, I don't think it's the lack of talent.
I think it's the lack of your top talent being injured, and that's why I realistically think, think that it is.
Um, I'm a Ewing SI fan.
I'm a Tar Heels fan.
Uh, I'm pretty sure the general overall viewing public for those part nope, knows that whenever March madness comes around and yet like you just mentioned here in our in our lives. You to chat.
Um, you won't see you don't have some injuries.
I feel like the injuries are what really asleep play goes.
I don't think that it's that we're not talented.
Were a top school the nation, year in, year out, you're in year out.
You know, it never really really changes for us in that.
In that respect, this is the first year in a long time that we've been back.
Uh, and I don't even think that's necessarily that were bad.
But, I mean, you know, not having you know, Anthony Ayers know anything here is actually going down recently.
Uh, Cole, Anthony.
He's been pretty much out like the whole season.
He's when he gets healthy, he's gonna probably be ready for for the MBA if he doesn't stay another year at you and see I'll even stay up for the season.
I don't think so.
I wouldn't Iran What you going to come back play in March? It's not a guarantee that we that we make it to march.
I don't think that we make it to march.
Um, so I mean, just just over overall for for you and see, I mean, I don't think this is the right approach.
As a coach, I get that you're trying trying to bring the best out of your guys.
But this isn't the way that you're gonna bring the best out of them, you know, pretty much letting them know that that they're that they're asked at the moment because of lack of having adding your main superstars.
I'm breaking away is mess up.
Get out there, Coach.
Develop these kids.
They're young, they're young.
And your superstar that's injured.
Right now he's a freshman.
You think he's gonna want to come back and play for you if you're talking about the rest of team, like like like like like you like their shik.
So I mean, I don't think this is the best way of Coach handling it a game being heated.
But every time I see this headline pop up because this is a now occurring headline for last about 23 weeks.
Every time I see that I see this pop up, it just disappoints me as a Tar Heels fan.
Um, hopefully, they they get this together.
We're not making the tournament this year everyone that that's from North Carolina listening anyone that is a Tar Heels fan that is listening.
I apologize on the launchpad asks.
I can't fix the Sheikh, but it sucks.
It's kind of funny that these coaches say it's academics.
First, we can't rule out the classroom.
Work is over what they do on the court.
We're here to a bill of people's careers and south outside of basketball.
These coaches have a bad team.
Bob Huggins is the same thing.
Yep, Bob Knight used Do Bob not used to.
It is all about lack of talent.
And then when your wedding, you say for it to be a classic does a lie, they only care about their pocket winning games.
That that that's all that's all that these college coach coaches are.
Therefore, I mean, look at how look at the blocks that are getting more.
Williams is what the highest paid college coach, I think is Oh, got, got, got more money last year.
Jay Williams, I think, is the highest paid right.
I feel like he got a stupid extent.
Was it? I don't I don't that Roy Williams was highly up there, you know, Yeah, it Sze always Kyla Perry Williams J J.
Right, And, uh, Coach K.
And unfortunately, that Arizona coach, you should be fired.
Yeah, um what's his name? That self.
So something Something. Miller.
Ok, now, is it? Is it? Yeah, I can't remember, but no, I I 101 100% uh, 100% percent agree.
These coaches, they're there for the money.
They're they're not really there.
Ah, the hamsters.
A piece that that stare for the development of these kids.
But as long as their pockets are fat, that's what they're there for.
Um, Will will be covering March.
You would see it or not.
I'm gonna be covering it, whether my team is in it.
I don't even know why I just said that Redskin thing is the Super Bowl. But I'm covering the mother****er.
You're gonna be if you're gonna be there.
Hello, March, man.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
We talked about this.
We talked about How about the game? See, what happens if I get in the basket calling fastball after the MBA? Usually, I mean, after the NFL, NFL really start focusing on.
Yep, exactly the same after after NFL's completely done that.
So I'm like, All right now I could focus on college basketball, not focus on the NBA.
Uh, let's see here, GP eight with basketball.
Is ion ever going to? I found this kind of interesting.
A fan at asked Stephen A.
Smith. They turned to the audience.
Let the black from the fans face.
He's like a Stephen a designed ever gonna bring a championship to New Orleans and Stephen Ages flat out Hell, no.
Um So I'm gonna ask you the same question that that that fan had asked Stephen A.
Is designed ever going to bring a championship? I don't think so.
I think he's gonna be a better franchise player in terms of grins and 80 not be a Why don't you like it is a big market.
I think so, Yeah.
The big markets usually went out.
Or if you get this chance where you're have a Golden State's I run traditionally smaller market or less loan own market, it's, uh, it's interesting to see that they could do it.
There a good story that when they want a few, it's Oh, it's a big market team.
That's a team that will be good for a while.
So the Golden State is gonna come back.
I think the Lakers and Clippers are gonna be very good for a minute.
Uh, Philly, Boston.
And even if they have a 45 seed and they kind of hit that point where the Rockets fall down, I just don't see it.
I could see it winning somewhere else with another star, but I don't see no luck getting a title.
Yeah, I don't I don't know if if it's necessarily I'm gonna happen here.
Okay? So history history repeats itself.
But every now, then history five's away of throwing a wrench into things and confusing the **** out of all the wives like Ben Simmons.
Simmons had a lot of hype around his name coming out of L s u going to Philly.
But then, you know, Yeah, the injury.
And you had a miss a whole year.
And so making it Where's Ricky? Was pretty much his second year in the league. Right.
Um, I don't I don't think that that, as I am is gonna stay with New Orleans.
Wore his whole career just because, like, I think there's I after get a ring.
I don't think that New Orleans can get a read.
Um, Zion has to do with first being healthy, getting the injury history out of the way and stuff like that.
Master New Orleans is really gonna come in and help him out.
And honestly, maybe not, because Orleans also was a big place where 80 was doing a lot of injuries and stuff as well.
You know, an owl's eye on.
They're done with it.
And he hasn't touched a four for the pelicans.
Hasn't put on a uniform for me, eh? Um, I don't I don't the only the only way that that it's I can really transform.
A chance from the culture gets a transfer. The market.
He has to be so god**** good that a a team, we'll sign him.
You know, our I mean, a team will assign other superstars and other superstars will want to go where he is.
That's not happening.
No one is wanting to go to New Orleans.
New Orleans has really good food banging ass women, and that's an awesome music.
And then that's it.
After that, New Orleans is it was ****ing New Orleans, right? So I just don't I don't I don't foresee Zay are being the guy that can do all that and changed all that for for the city, for the state.
But, I mean, I don't think that that he gets I don't think the pelicans get of championship, probably ever, Anytime soon.
It won't happen for for years, years down the line.
What me and you will will be probably well off into our forties before that happens.
And to go out like this.
I would like to know if you're gonna develop in a city.
I don't think it's a place where you have exactly.
I I see that you know the sideline.
He does not look like he's gonna get lose weight anytime exact. Yeah, you're not.
You're not developing zayani in New Orleans.
Especially because of that that Di asked.
Um, let's see who said the Spurs building a dynasty from back in the past.
I mean, the spurs, that's different.
That's different. That's coaching.
Oh, yeah, he was countering how I picked a couple of big markets and stuff and he said he's a small mark, and I said, Yeah, some teams do it, but most of the talent strained by L.
A. California in general.
You know, Boston places places with high cost of living is where you can find championships.
If you if it costs you if they cost you 8 54 1 bedroom, you can kiss the championship.
Goodbye is not happening.
That's so ****ed up.
That's so ****ed up.
Who did want it? Want it? One of Megyn that the thunder.
And what? We'll toss them in for a segment here.
Um s e A what? What? 20 for 20 in 2020 rebound youngest? Yeah, it's what? A rebound.
Um, should he be getting all all star praises this year.
The West is so tough in that position.
Really? Put him in the all stars.
I do think the Eastern Conference probably has better teams, but the talent in the West makes me It makes me think that he won't get in.
Yeah, I mean, I think that a baby comes with this future at this point, and I see him as a slightly worse passing more athletic.
And Roy have a player if he stays home, and he has a great future ahead of him, and they should probably consider building around him long term and really give me the ball.
And I don't want to do with Chris Paul, but they're gonna be fine.
They have a guy that dominated game in the next few years.
If you keep developing passers by.
Yeah, a chip toe.
See, this decade this flat.
Um, one thing that I want to credit Oklahoma City on is how impressive is a they.
So I'm in time again.
They they're able to to to reinvent and redefine themselves over and over and over again.
They are thieves of the draft.
They get some players you cannot imagine.
Only miss really was very Joseph.
Third, I don't think what other guys are good players until injury.
It's they always find a way to get steals in the draft.
Just takes caliber.
You can't expect to find exactly, you know the answer.
Who's question? Okay.
See, getting a chip in this decade.
I'm not I'm not I'm not gonna go.
ST there. If Katie comes back.
Maybe I don't think I'm I must say that they can't get one because we are evaluating them over a decade, and no one's gonna drag this.
Take backup for the ****ing decade, So eso es.
But then that gay, obviously.
Sure, I must say Sure.
Also, for some facts to support my take they're foreign office is really good.
They do get stills in the draft.
A talent will come around that don't leave that seem.
They're always, you know, in playoff contention in playoff talks.
Um, I think that it's possible that they could maybe get over, get over the hump now, probably the one small market team in this decade that pulls at all.
Could that be the one small market scene that pulls at all like Jake froze there? They stay relevant, like the Celtics, To be honest, similar winning percentage last decade.
Okay, See, is a top tier franchise, in my opinion, going okay.
See, was a good move by the ownership group.
I missed the super science.
I always miss the, uh of the SuperSonics.
Sam Presti is Andre G.
I don't think that he is underrated.
I think that is mark is what allows him to be underrated.
Let's see if we could get Jake back on air here.
Yeah, he's gonna go in and reset there.
Um, so we'll wait on him.
We're gonna get back into the, uh, the rest of the show.
You're actually put that right there.
Let's see if we get I'll get it.
Uh, uh, Jake back up, back up in here for the show.
There's only failure.
Was favoring Westbrook over Katie.
I don't That was necessarily necessarily a failure on trading Harding thing.
I'm not going to say that that was a failure either.
Yeah, I'm not I'm not gonna say that. Say that.
Say those are failures.
Basically, falling a little Westbrook was his biggest problem.
I think Katie's a type person that he was gonna go to a big market here regardless, even if he was a favorite guy.
Katie just didn't give a ****.
Didn't want to be in O k.
That's where he got off in leaving.
And that's why he wanted to leave.
He just didn't Didn't want to stay there.
I think that Westbrook has something to do with it, too.
Our team was coming to his own.
I think we're all we're all breathlessly ****ed off Katie for realizing the future.
Um, and And what? What could have came about? Yeah, like Westbrook.
He actually liked being there, and he wanted to.
He wanted to be there while we wait.
No, Jake, I think you might be like, resetting his computer or something.
He should be back shortly.
Imagine hard and PG Robert seeing Katie Baka three years ago.
Yeah, Blake, I think all those guys had had s****om inevitable and in their paths.
And because starting was was fairly inevitable for all of them being the ability to lead a team and go toe goto goods, even get some **** down.
I mean, I think that really had a that have really dictated the whole game getting broken up.
A lot of those big pieces getting broken up.
If Thunder season indeed today, probably a first round, etc.
I'll be proud of this team.
Nice, cool. Nice.
Miami Cain's productions.
You're gonna be going to the play by play camp. Nice.
All right, So we are getting Jake back.
Let's get back into a regular regular schedule.
The set of debates.
What is going on? You are back.
Just waiting on your camera mode off.
Okay, You're coming in broken.
You hear me? Yeah.
You're coming in broken.
There you go. There's your camera.
We got a camera bras watching the Bulls last night and they were getting pushed around by the Celtics.
Certainly is his size.
He's I close every window.
He made me do it.
So this is the work going? Yeah.
No, no, you're back on.
All right, Cool.
All right, so let's get back to it.
There we go already.
So now we're back into the show.
Ladies, gentlemen, next topic that that that we have to have to discuss we are going to get into, uh, 20 Romo.
Of course, being offered, uh, a huge, lucrative contract.
I believe the number that I read with somewhere in long lines like eight million, uh, to do Monday Night football.
Pretty much he would take over buggy Booger Macfarlane's roll.
How are you feeling about this? And is the money maybe too much rum.
Does Ramo deserve a $2020? Roadsters it for now.
If he's so good at what he's doing because you blitz recently, he knows the heir to the attendant.
He's no smarter at a football.
The observer is that because he ages out and there's a new game coming in, I don't think he'll be as quick to know what's going to happen and understand all the chest.
But he predicts on to lie there.
So you mean the hires? Great short term and to the honest, I don't see many long term color commentators or ****yst making it.
But I think the NFL will go strictly streaming.
So I think this is the change for remedy cash in really quick.
Well, it's still there because there's not gonna be much more football on TV, I fear.
Yeah, I think I think that that that the industry is is eventually gonna gonna sway over um, Teoh Guy guy.
Guys like myself.
Um, you know, people kind, being able to pick their ****ysts picket, choose songs.
So, for I think more people are becoming aware of that being a possibility for them and for their their their entertainment purposes while watching the game.
I don't know if necessary.
It'll come off off off off cable, necessarily, like there'll be less football on cable as there will be opportunities for announcers like like the old guard.
You know, I think that it's time for Collinsworth and Michael's to kind of get the **** out of there and make way for for the new for the new breed.
I think the NFL is starting to wake up and realize that they do need a new breed.
I mean, look at the way that Booker was.
Roof was ripped all over social media because of how horrible his takes were and just how awful of all the commentary was, he was saving most obvious shape, you know, Um, but so did John Madden.
And no one care.
Yeah, no one cared about John, but it's funny, funny back then, but there is no social media backlash to catch on Exactly.
Now there's there's backlash.
It's where I think the NFL is there, understand? They cannot please everyone, but they can finally, to please at least the vast majority by making by making change them by getting some that is more highly favored in the public.
You know, um, I like Rodney Harrison to I think he understands the game very well.
I don't know why he's stuck here. He sticks to NBC.
I think it's a It's a matter of course.
ESPN then being owned by Disney.
There, they're the ones that can go out there and for a commentator taken drop, you know, 58 Millie on a bid on a big TV contract.
One announcer like that.
So I think that's why you know you're not seeing Harrison or Dungy Gate get all all those those types of reps just because the money for the money for for NBC, the money that Disney as are two totally completely different bank accounts, you know? So I mean both similar both in the same kind of same person tax bracket top businesses.
But, um, ages a J agent just I don't know.
I feel like he should.
He should go in and take it Monday night Football.
It doesn't get better.
Commentator, I mean, until the space is completely shifted over to where people are preferring their own personal live color commentators.
This is the next best thing that people are gonna get.
I don't necessarily like it because if Romo's calling Monday Night Football, nobody's gonna want to want to watch run boys.
You know bugger helps people wash run boys.
He didn't know what it covered.
Iwas look hasn't defensive lineman and live factory and no idea what uncovered to us? None.
And that's why they you know it is good for Monday Night Football.
Not good for the for the space that you and I are working working here today.
Peyton even turned it down because he just doesn't wanna deal with deal with me next topic that we have on day be sme Oh sound the young guys protecting shaking The smoke came out, um, and stated Thio the young players after Seattle's loss in a press conference that, Hey, you know, guys take care of your body.
You know it's a Carrie.
If you take your body, you'll get the money.
Yada, yada, yada bistro, for most part throughout that whole press conference deflected any other, like real questions he wanted mainly use that platform that talks for younger players.
Um, you think it's kind of messed up that beast mode says this, and all of a sudden we're all wrong on his back.
We're all we're all here for him.
It's I feel like Marshawn Lynch of the great personality, and I will never take that away from him.
I feel like what he says is really common sense.
Make money outside of protect yourself, protect the money you made and coming from him.
I don't know why it needs more than what it came from.
Players like in the past, like you are currently playing like Brady.
Manning said it to grow.
Said it the l A branch out.
I don't know why I agree with them.
Um, football, maybe is not a long term sport like you used to be.
You get what you can get a person out, get out.
But I don't know that.
I don't know why we take these Mose opinion.
So, like set in his ways compared to every other player that says it when they retired.
Exactly what What got me so much about this Waas? I was around for a whole weekend for five ****ing days straight.
I was around players of rookie and veteran presence in the lead and I was around the NFL Players Association members, and I got to get a look into what the NFLPA does so on and so forth.
Um, it was a really intimate experience, and there's a lot of financial workshops that they sit the players down.
You know, in the conference room, there's always something about you know, how to work with your aging, what the different incentives are on your contract.
They're not breaking the whole ****ing language of the NFL down to these kids because their kids step one step two.
They don't know nothingness.
There's literally a whole association that is built on you going to get that knowledge and as built off of giving you the knowledge.
And this is important.
So I'm not taking anything away from what Marshawn Lynch said, because what Marshawn Lynch, anyone that has ever met a former NFL player know that they are not taking care of in the best manner.
Take care of a little bit better than a military.
Better not take care of the best men I know.
Okay? Their bodies hurt.
Sometimes I could really didn't talk.
Their speech may be off, so I'm not taking anything away from what be smoked says in your protection chicken, You know, protection money, but ***ual body ***, your mind Go get endor*****t deals so on and so forth.
I have a problem that all the players that reacted to it.
But when the NFLPA is telling you to do it, you're not listening.
You know that that I have an issue with, You know, as much as he supposed, that should be enough. I'm sorry.
They do it every year.
I mean, it's really you.
It shouldn't just be because Marshawn stood up on a postgame podium and said it that we're now taking it significantly more serious to me.
Personally, I have a problem with it and for the younger generation, to kind of react to it the way that they did.
It just shows you that things go kind of one ear and out the other.
Um, I guess sometimes you see a certain personality nationality to say certain things like to take care of your money to take care of your family and take care of yourself.
So not should not fall on deaf ears, and then all of a sudden awake, you just because ****ing Marshawn Lynch says it.
You know when t o go broke? You know, players don't listen exactly.
Number 20 Pay for pay for a god**** thing.
Look at look at a B out here.
Willing to box, either.
The Paul brothers and I were making music videos, and it's ****ing living room because he's running out of money.
He feels that he's running out of money.
A lot of these guys have Bean propped up because they've been athletically gifted.
And when the NFL chews you up and spit you out, sometimes they don't see it coming.
You know a great one.
Few injuries left. Wait, stop.
Chris Johnson left early.
Couldn't come back from an injury chosen onto He's younger than a P.
He left the game because he has something outside.
Look, one of these players can't quit early, and it's not like they got kicked out of the league.
They could be one of their own terms if they do it right, But look at look at our very first interview, our very first player interview way before the rookie interviews.
But when we sat down with Jared Smith you know, you go back. You look at that interview.
We were sitting back with Jared Smith sitting there having drinks, smoking a J.
You know, and and it was completely different.
I'm trying to sit there and pull the story out of Jerry of his NFL career and when I eventually ****ing realized was so long.
Your career kind of became your your career.
Sun up is that you became a regular mother****er just like me.
You're a regular person here now, Just like me.
You work in a call centre like I used to back thing.
And that's what you're That's what your life has became.
That is now your financial backing you shouldn't Like I said, you shouldn't be having Marchand tell you these things.
You should have taken a look at it.
Now, that's a lot of things you should have been taken care of in the lead.
You should have re investing the money before you know, I've seen it.
And I saw it firsthand of sun.
That's the same age as me.
Yeah, and I have a good example of some of you lives down the street from me.
Baranski was a Raider Fineman third round pick when they were really good.
And you, you're leaving money in the NFL.
The first thing he did when he retired was put half of it into X ray machines.
And now every single X ray and released Ohio is owned by and now he has eight mansions just quarter mile down the street.
And he has, like a, um, literally five outdoor pools.
Any splurge because he made so much money with his investments when he retired.
And that's what these guys should be doing, to be honest, getting into the er last and final topic here.
All the rum report.
Probably great way to close out that last segment.
Uh, we're gonna talk about the XFL here a little bit.
And actually, we could you know that Babylon and talking about the rules as well as I know that that that was something you were curious about.
Uh, yeah. Getting discussed.
Um, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is going into the XFL, and he's going to trial for the XFL as a kicker.
This news, of course.
Coming out today, um, about right about about an hour ago, I want to make sure that we definitely got this segment on this show.
Jake, your thoughts road.
Uh, did he travel in soccer a little bit in the off seasons? Yeah.
He did play soccer off this thing.
I mean, they used at this point because the XFL is gonna have a hard time take, you know, because they started wages sooner.
That should be two weeks after I think so.
I think that they're gonna have to get these big games earlier than figure out if they can get traction with the mainstream core being base.
And from there, they consider Lee stop.
I don't want to say this is a freak show in terms of OK, you can't do this.
Kicker learned my receiver peeing, but yeah, I've been there for several stops, I think, honestly, why not do it? Because there's literally no kicking in the extra help.
I mean, it's very encouraging everyone to go for two.
They're getting rid of the kickoff returns, So you might as well sign of a That's not really trying to find out.
Um, and I'll get him trying to try out as a kicker.
um, You don't kick the ball. The XFL.
I don't get it. There's a whole boy. It was fun.
Yeah, You point? Yeah.
So? So he would be brought in just just just a point.
Um, I don't I don't like it from from a positional standpoint, um, at all.
Like you have a former punter and market king coming out into the XFL as a wide receiver for the renegades from Dallas.
Renegades, I thought What did you just go be a rock'n'roll wide receiver somewhere? Oh, Joe, I'm not getting this.
Um, hey is in his forties, right? Okay, He's a little older.
I mean, I mean, that may be, but my here's what's what.
I also don't get you complain about how much you miss football and you say that you could still go out there and play yada yada. Yeah.
This is an opportunity where you can still go out there and play.
What's your body on the line, bro? What? What? You're pushing.
If you if you really sure. Yeah.
If you really missed the game like and you want to be a part of what the XFL brand is building like this is definitely purely about Chad Johnson.
When is anything not about charge offs himself about? Oh, Joe. Single separate.
He was the leading being on Twitter, like, 10 years ago.
Yeah, Like what? Like like, Yeah, that's when I first started.
You know, he was like, Yeah, he was the account that you need to follow because he was also with the evidence that was out of two ****ing And that is that That messed up his whole ****ing life.
I remember them days.
Like I say, You want to go out there and you wanna be a big shot again? I'll do it.
No, JD said, Aren't you also retreat? He said he also had flag football league.
He started writing that one under.
I don't know if the if the perfect If the professional flag football league went under, I think the Pff Pff Ellis Still going and going pretty strong, actually.
Yeah. To my knowledge of Pete Pff.
L is still a thing.
I know that Michael had done some money into that as well and was helping running me.
Jack Johnson said the XFL is a kicker.
I think is the stupidest ****ing thing, period, because there's no kicking.
Yeah, there's literally just longer field goals, hunts that you really don't have incentive to return.
And at this point, I don't think he's a good kicker.
Know if that said, I don't think he could unless he's really good, because I don't think he's ever done it before.
No, Remember his point? It's He used to try to kick a warm ups before games.
He was like a straight line toe kicker.
I was like, That's not gonna work.
Whatever you were doing, that it will work now.
Like I said, I don't like it.
I don't I don't like it for the position like I don't like it For the position of kickers and punters like it's a joke.
You're making a mockery of mockery of, of a very isolated skill set, Um, in a highly important skill.
Players, you're Edward says Cheers.
Yeah, that job sucks face drug.
If they screw up once, they're fine. Exactly.
They control the most important psychological aspect of the game.
Which football is that? 80% mental sport. 20% physical.
I ****ing feel bad.
Um uh, Yeah, There's a good kicker out there that's not gonna play.
That's what sucks about it.
That that might make the league in two years from his performance.
But you do think, though, is gonna take away from 100%? 100%.
This is bad for the NFL.
This is bad for the brain of kickers.
The bucket is now You're gonna have a bunch of kids going out there thinking, Hey, you know, Chad is out there kicking him.
I can kick you to It's just it could be good for a position.
The military was discovered in NFL Europe.
If a job like this happened where he never got a chance to go to NFL Europe No, I did military.
I could not agree more.
Um, but that does, uh, wrap up the very first episode of the rum report.
Um yo, Jake, how are you feeling of about How about episode warning? I like your business.
Look bored if you get j love on here for the for the very dress.
Really? That's gonna be a completely different difference thing that's going to completely different cause that's actually talking project.
Yeah, but, um yeah, me.
J lo will be getting the scouting all done and set up for wth e NFL combine.
And for poor sickly if we gotta do do the interviews again, so that's gonna be ****ing late.
Um, other than that, let people know what you got coming out next, man.
I'm definitely gonna write something about the media day.
Or maybe lack thereof for Connor McGregor.
I'm looking forward to see if he actually is the Conrad. Gregor.
Robbie used to love brash, arrogant, really confident disabilities.
Or he's just talking about how he wants to win the fight, be reserved.
They move on and you could tell he sold out does not care about.
Maybe I hope he's excited.
I hope he's that transfer.
You do get moving the brash bigger than this is.
That's what I'm hoping for it to him.
Um, I'm super excited.
You won't be doing this.
Doing what? Apri Apri fi article.
What you'll do like a pre fire are cold. Like some predictions.
They like hell, yeah.
I'm gonna have my picks going to have an article about basically what I think about the interactions in the press.
I was gonna tell Hogan about MacGregor, Am I? If McGregor goes in there a certain way, I'm very confident that you gotta see how McGregor's gonna perform in the fight based on the media.
It is going to pick up on how they interact when they're sitting at those tables across from each other, and they haven't let it rip.
Um, if a river shakes hands, think about he's be better, not shake hands.
He's everything before exactly that.
It is nice at the office, and I think that he might honestly think that I enjoy your six million.
Yeah, I think that that that's probably probably what what's gonna happen? We'll see.
I'm excited for it's gonna be going down.
