as we suspected, maybe an issue there with the feed.
So back in there on the game action, we're gonna go ahead and step away for half time, come back in with halftime lead, give everyone opportunity to rejoin the live feed here back in the second half with the remainder of this one.
As we highlight Kyrie Irving in his big return, having a nice, easy stroll down Victory Lane, it looks like back in just a little bit.
With the third quarter action here at the start of the third quarter.
Getting to the rim quickly, there was Atlanta.
An opportunity knock down some shots.
They do that, and it's now a 22 point lead here for the Brooklyn Nets, 70 to 48.
As they get back in on the offense event.
Jared Allen gets it over to Kyrie Irving.
He's in here to start the third quarter, as you would think.
Little floater in the lane.
He gets that one to go with ease, and it is back to 7 to 48 here.
As the third quarter continues to move along.
Step back here, a little too strong rebound by Joe Harris and Kyrie Irving, lead them up the floor.
This, of course, is going to be interesting to see having into the bench, you know, here, foul called.
They're out at the top against Atlanta.
And now we'll wait to see Ah, what we can expect in the second half in terms of the rotation when Well, when Will can yak.
It's about to get a little bit deeper into this roster.
Potentially on where do we think this is going? And how long do you have A least? You think you're gonna get Kyrie Irving a game like this? As Tory on Prince cannot connect from the outside and back the other way, we will come in a 24 point game now heard her.
They're from the perimeter working against Tori on Prince kicks over.
This look will not go on the rebound, thereby Jared Allen Uncontested.
Handoff between Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie.
Allen comes out to set the screen there, high up with three.
Tim What he uses it works inside bank shot off glass won't go.
But then, when he grabs his own rebound there and looked to settle himself back down as they pulled this out and looked to reestablish the offense on a second chance look.
Nice runner will go there for Kyrie Irving.
A nice job attacking there again.
It will be for a kind that's missed two months. Here.
Certainly does not seem to be any issues as picking the pocket of Herder is Joe Harris.
He goes the length of the floor and jobs that one up and in, and we are now up to a 28 point lead here for the Brooklyn Nets early in the third quarter.
This is Ah, listen, this is nice, right? Came off at seven game losing streak.
Get the win against Miami.
Irving comes back and look at how just such a soft touch is.
He worked the running underhand scoop high off glass to get his last bucket there.
Let's go ahead and set those lineups for you with the time out here on the floor.
Collins Hunter Reddish Goodwin and heard her on the floor for Atlanta.
You've got excuse me one second day. That's Colin's Hunter.
Reddish yes, Cuban.
Her think of Prince Allen, Irving Deng, Witty and Harris for the Brooklyn Nets.
That they're now gives Irving a team high 15 that we just trail reddish with a game high of 18 so far nevertheless, the 65% from the field and 52 53% from beyond the arc to the Nets.
Still working wonders for them here, though.
Just a couple of minutes into the game action.
Here you go inside those numbers a little bit deeper here.
We haven't mentioned this so there.
In the first half, the Nets points in the paint, grossly out, edging Atlanta 34 to 14.
The fouls were 15 to 9 there.
Now I guess it's a this 90.
5 15 to 8 there.
Atlanta Committing more there in the first half.
Largest lead at sits right now at 28 for the Brooklyn Nets.
Atlanta never led in this one.
Fast break points 15 to 8 in favor of the Brooklyn Nets as well.
The points off turnovers.
Now, in spite of think about this right, this is why we're highlighting.
And it's not just about the number of turnovers, but the Nets, on five turnovers for Atlanta, had converted that into 14 points off of 11 turnovers by Brooklyn, just nine points for Atlanta.
So again, if you were playing a team that had a little bit of a better offensive output.
These turnovers could prove more costly over the course of the first half there.
And you can just think about that idea of saying they were converting.
And even in a similar clip you be talking about, you know, five turnovers, converting into 14 points for Brooklyn going the other way, you'd be talking about 11 converting into, let's just say 28 points, right if it was basically 10 so 28 points that B plus 19 there and you be talking about being within earshot in this game, you know, that's that's the difference.
And some of the small things that you take away in a game went.
For the most part, what you're really doing is just sitting back and enjoying the show that has taken place here.
The other thing that we really liked in that first half of action as well was the shot disper*****t across this roster.
So we'll go inside the full box score here.
We know we saw Joe Harris picked the pocket we saw.
Obviously, we also saw Kyrie Irving get a bucket there as well you talk about shots, right? Starting lineup.
Prince Allen, Irving.
Deputy Harris for six shots, Three shots, eight shots, five shots and six shots and then in the bench.
+3462 for Chandler Jordan River Temples.
Just nice and spread out as the foul call will go against here against Len with the Kyrie Irving working on the ball there.
Eso a little side out here for Brooklyn to get themselves reset.
But that's the other balance that you want to see is, well, you assume the Kyrie Irving 100% healthy.
Then he's gonna take the bill.
He's gonna take the most shots on the roster, but you like that hair still got good look.
Story on Prince did as well.
And then inside of that second unit.
Caris Levert getting some good opportunities for himself as well.
And then, ultimately, dimly down the back stretch of that first half get ends up with five field goals overall.
Push shot from Herder won't go rebounded by Alan.
He holds and Waits gets it over the Kyrie Irving fast pushes up the board Tori on Prince bullet fee to Joe Harris arriving underneath the basket.
There he'll get that up and into go and we are officially now at a 30 point lead for the Brooklyn Nets.
Pull a pop there won't go for Atlanta.
Joe Harris With the rebound and back the other way we come.
This one is just giddy up getting away here from Atlanta.
Hurry! And what has just been a fluid offensive night for Brooklyn.
Ah, there's Kyrie Irving working into the lane.
The foul is going to go against Ah, let's see here.
That was going against Collins.
Try and deny Alan his position in the lane.
There probably would have got a nice easy feed from Irving had he not been found so side out here again.
And the fact that calls again now, already piling up early and often against Atlanta, it means that you can expect the Nets to probably get into the bonus here.
9 14 Right now, Already, a few fouls here.
Time out cold, though, and ah will be a review here.
Looks like they're gonna double check on a possible fleet.
Were depending on what they saw underneath the basket, there would be my assumption, as they sometimes do, and we won't find out they step away.
Shout out to let's see who we got here.
Ah, I believe I got there is Ah, Leanne wa Thank you very much for following the brand here.
Always happy to have a fresh face joining an honest and to everybody who joined in on the broadcast this evening.
Always happy to have everyone along.
As you were mentioning.
Be sure to check over on YouTube.
Schedule still kind of in flux.
I wish it was getting a little bit more consistent.
Certainly, as we head into the week, you can probably go ahead and check over their nets.
Will not play again until Tuesday night.
So I will give a full recap of the game over on YouTube tomorrow morning and then back here on SportsCastr.
You can expect me to come in with the post game press conference news and notes from Kenny Atkinson from Kyrie Irving.
How did he feel after this one? Caris, Levert, Spencer Dinwiddie and the like.
So that'll look to be the scheduled here for Monday.
And then we'll come in on Tuesday.
So up on social media.
So you have a weekly schedule where to find myself in the Brooklyn Nets brand so that we can experience, shall I say s So hopefully that's something that I could get up to you before the week starts at once.
This game wraps up.
I can get in on my technology and try to give you guys something consistent.
Opportunities to find all things of Brooklyn Nets has away from there.
Come back here from the time out.
It'll be interesting to see their if, Ah, you know how How far do we go? Like he said, I got a game on Tuesday.
Obviously, you know his first game back here for Kyrie Irving.
He's already given you 16 minutes.
So maybe once he put it comes out of here in the third quarter.
Given the lead, maybe he ends up getting the fourth quarter off.
You start to think about, though the only issue you're gonna run into is that the Nets don't have any other real big.
So in terms of giving Alan or DeAndre Jordan, some time off is Well, you really have to look to play some small ball there.
Or at the very least, just give DeAndre Jordan long run and allow ah allowed Jerry down to have a rest as they highlighted here. So they will.
We will, of course, see after the break here on Monday, it's Utah at home, but then down to Philly for that Wednesday game, two nights off before they take on the walkie on Saturday.
Then they'll have Monday Philly again at hope.
But full health.
We'll just see if the Nets can three point shoot their way against a much more sizable line of one that's going to present them.
A slew of issues on the interior with just that, you know, even the likes of, uh, Dwight Howard.
There, coming up on losing that one there.
Turnover goes the way of Kyrie.
Irving gets it over to Tory on Prince.
He backs out of the corner, shuffles, looks to attack in towards the rim, gets its wiped away and ultimately has his pocket picked, thereby Collins.
Nice defense for Atlanta in the 30 point game here.
But this one is going to result in off of Collins, and they tried to drive there at pace when this will go back over to the Brooklyn Nets and again, one of the things we want to keep an eye on here, down the structure, this one playing clean basketball.
Eliminate the turnovers Here, we're going to see a offensive foul.
Looks like it goes.
Ah was on Hunter, and I believe they're going to call it against Tori on prints.
So following the turnover, he now effectively turns it over once again here for the Brooklyn Nets.
This is one of those things, right? We highlighted it bad free throw shooting in this game so far, A lot of turnovers.
And it's just the little things that you want to look at.
And you know, you don't want to diminish a quality win, obviously, with Carrie's return here, But along the way, you start to look at having 20 plus turnovers in a game.
That's something that it doesn't matter what the result is.
You just cannot have that happening.
Three ball won't go.
Jared Allen tries to come down with it, fought around in the lane there, and it looks like they're going to call the foul here, Possibly against Tori on Prince could be a quick to one's here, and thankfully, with a 30 point with a 30 point lead that they extended from 24 there at the half.
Obviously, that's that.
Don't have a lot to worry about at this point.
We approach the 8 20 mark to go here.
Three does not go Jared out.
Clean the glass with lead, trying to fight over the top and get an opportunity for a second chance there for Atlanta.
Pull a pop from Spencer.
Dimly doesn't go Joe Harris in the lane.
Wow. He could come down there. Awkward.
He pops right back up, though.
And then the foul call here, out in front.
It looks like that 1 may go against Spencer Dinwiddie.
Just breaking this up here.
Excuse me? They're going to say no.
Yes, and then DeAndre Jordan's gonna check back in.
Alan checks out here.
Talk about the eight minute mark here in the third quarter.
So, you know, I'm not saying it's a little bit of indication, you know? DeAndre Jordan coming in after those four minutes of action here in the third, we'll see who else checks in along the way.
Everyone's gonna get their run as they work out to the top of the key three.
Kyrie Irving gets that long rebound on contested he has that fire passed out of the corner, Tori on print and shoot like a king.
He continues the hot hand.
Tonight we talked about him on the last podcast, Doug Noreen myself.
Some of those issues There is an 11 run for Brooklyn here in the third quarter, a game when they've had a lot of something runs against Atlanta.
Front rim, short on the three ball.
Ultimately gets corralled there on the rebound by Tory on Prince and Kyrie.
Irving works in the lane, crosses up, hurt or step back Pop, and we'll get that look to go silky smooth.
And you know, this is one of those things again.
You want to talk about the value of Kyrie Irving? I can go back to when some people were saying, Oh, Spencer Dinwiddie and I love him, you know? What do you need, Kyrie Irving? It's for things like this, man.
He gets his own shot all the time.
You get into the lane there and have beautiful pull back step back, little mid range jumpers.
And quite frankly, you know, Spencer, Jimmy doesn't have that necessarily.
Game not to not nothing.
This type of smooth shot.
Nice find out Low from Tori on Prince.
The bank shot for Kyrie Irving Turnaround Bank will go, and this is now in 85 toe 48.
Absolute trouncing here by Brooklyn over Atlanta as they continue to extend this lead.
And now Kyrie Irving can go ahead and look at himself and say, You know what? A 9 10 performance? Yeah, that feels pretty good coming back here now has 19 points with those four rebounds and three assists, We take a brief step away here, the time out.
Then we'll come right back in here on this third quarter of action as Kyrie Irving looks like I listen a couple months rest always does the body good.
We'll check back in just a moment, continuing our coverage of the Brooklyn Nets at home against Atlanta.
Rate now up 37 points.
Good grief for time out there.
Didn't even step away for a commercial break.
So we come right back in on the action.
A quick bucket there for Atlanta.
Cut this lead to just 35.
Let's have a lot to be.
That's the focus.
Gotta stay sharp, but you listen, even in games like these.
We all understand it land in the season that they're having to Don't have Trey Young right now.
Ah, but even in games like this again, we highlight, right.
Let's get back inside these numbers as Ah, Spencer dimly works down into the lane.
Little pull up jumper doesn't go for him.
DeAndre Jordan fighting but unable to corral that rebound saved by Atlanta going out of bounds and back the other way, we'll come back where he drops it off.
They're from Collins at the top of the Ark.
Let's reset thes lineups for you, and then we'll take a look inside some additional numbers as Kyrie Irving knocks down another one just inside the Ark, 87 50 of 37 point lead here for the Brooklyn Nets.
Collins Reddish Goodwin, along with Crab and Bembry, Prince Irving Genuity, Harrison Jordan for your Brooklyn Nets, 5 54 mark here in the third, highlighted there by the 37 point lead for Brooklyn. Here.
You know, this is one of those games that you want to see some of those little things, so we'll go inside those numbers again and just talk about the fact right now sitting in 13 turnovers.
Irving checks out of this one, and we'll see here, gets a couple of nice head taps and back pats from his teammates.
I wonder if that might be the end of his evening here, and if it was, he would go 10 of 11 through 20 minutes of game action.
This one gets stolen there by Caris Levert As they tried to work it into the corner on a lazy pass cross court feet from dim witted the Prince Prince finds Caris Levert cutting in through the lane.
He gathers and goes up and in.
And so now, like we say, Kyrie Irving goes out.
Caris Levert comes in.
And just like that, he now has 13 points on the evening for himself in what is a four of seven night Atlanta one and done here, Spencer Din, with the long outlet pass to Caris, Levert pulls back out there and re gathers in a 39 point game, liver down into the lane.
Up and over won't get that look to go, though, as he attacked in towards the basket, quickly breaking out the other way.
The drop off hand goes in, bank shot is good.
That one goes through their, ah, for reddish, and he is at a nice game for himself.
In spite of the scorecard.
He is a guy that has given them now reddish up to 20 here in this game and offensive foul here.
So turnover for Brooklyn, 20 out of the 52 points you're getting put up by radish.
So if this is the end of the evening there, we highlighted already.
The 10 of 11 knocked down his only three point shot.
Didn't get to the line at all.
Four rebounds, Three assists, one steal, two turnovers.
21 points for Kyra here and you Gotta like we're just so proud of this guy as they highlight.
Missed the last 26 games comes in like he's been playing all season, and now we see some substitution is come in here for the Brooklyn Nets.
Story on prints out.
Joe Harris comes out.
He stays on the floor along with now Wilson Chandler and Garrett Temple replacing long rebound.
Their tips by Dim, Witty back over the Wilson Chandler.
They were two man game and get up the court to Caris.
Levert now didn't Woody.
He will go into the lane and gets immediately called for the travel out at the top of the key.
Doesn't appreciate it.
But, hey, that's the call in now.
14 turnovers for the Brooklyn Nets.
So these are things we keep talking about, right? The areas that if you're gonna point to something, this is certainly be a bit of the concern.
And that is once again, those free throw attempts still sitting.
11 of 19 have attempted any here in the third quarter.
And then now the 15 turnovers on the game would obviously be something that you still want to look too clean up.
This one goes out of bounds and a sloppy turnover here and back and forth we go.
One good turn over deserves another.
It is a 37 point team, 89 52.
Let's see if we can pull up some other interesting news as the alley oop from Deng, Witty to DeAndre.
Jordan is broken up in the lane and once again, back the other way become This one has turned over in the lane. Caris.
Levert comes away with it.
He goes cross court went on one beautiful job there by him.
Let's just let's see what we can find out here.
See what other news and notes we can give you. Let's go.
Let's go a little bit off topic here in a blowout game like this.
What? What what other things can we say? Who? As I get A as I get it, I get a quote from Doug Nori via text message that is not suitable for for the on air here on SportsCastr.
But nevertheless, he feels good about what he's seen from the team.
Bembry knocks down the three ball.
They're cutting into a mere 34 point lead, and there's the alley oop that you want there from three point territory.
Get that connection with DeAndre Jordan, who hammers this one.
Home is a nature's a brief adjustment here.
Another three ball for Atlanta so, you know, unwilling to go away quietly.
They're gonna keep this 140.
If it give, it kills them here.
And that was a nice one, though, from Charles Brown getting it to go there from the outside.
58 91 dimwit he drives in psychics outside to caress lover.
He almost turns it over, but it dribbles over to DeAndre Jordan.
He gets it slapped away, and now, officially, the turnover has come.
Brown will feed it to memory back to brown.
Brown rises up long on that three bowl, and this one is gathered ultimately by Carris liver.
Bembry tries to fight him in the back.
Court cannot stop him.
They work their way up into the front court and settle themselves in giving Go with DeAndre.
Jordan swatted out of bounds by Brown on their caress Libertes layup attempt.
It will stay with Brooklyn.
Let's take a look as we take a look here, let's Let's I give you some insights in and around.
How about as the markets it overto Wilson Chandler.
He gets in the lane, elevates comes up short there, and then a 22nd 24 2nd shot clock violation.
So they will turn this one over.
Just a quick check here to make sure I give you the right information.
Okay, here we go.
Let's talk about this day in history, my friends.
How about this January 12th 1966.
Ah, Red Auerbach of the Boston Celtics recorded his 1/1000 career victory regular season and plants combined 1 14 to 102 over the Los Angeles Lakers in Boston.
How about that? That's back in 1966.
Turn over here for the next 91 58 as they come up on two minutes to play here in the fourth quarter.
Let's talk other interesting news and notes on this day in history, as the re gather does get back up in there for Bembry, as he had the rebound and made bucket, it is now just a 31 point lead for the Brooklyn Nets.
So on their toes here to close out the third quarter, shooting 63% from the field to Atlanta's 30 Cares liver works against Brown now kicks over the temple.
Almost lose it, re gathers, backs out over to Caris.
Levert rises up from three.
Can't get it to go.
But DeAndre Jordan, on the interior, will get found as he gathered that one up.
In between Jones, they're doing some good work.
This is a nice opportunity for the veteran.
Deflect some of his muscles on the inside.
How about January 12th.
1971 My friends.
That's when 33 year old Lennie Wilkins of Ah Seattle became, at the time the oldest N v p in All Star history as he scored 21 points in the West.
Wanna wait 107 victory in San Diego.
Michael Jordan became the oldest all Star game, M v p when he captured the award in 1998 9 days short of his 35th victory.
A wayto one of the seven and an All Star Game.
Can you imagine if that's what we do? They were scoring. Nowadays.
We need this thing to be in the one sixties, one seventies, preferably if we wanna have some fun, though.
At times you do get some of that chippy defense when you get down the stretch in those ones.
But, uh, going on way back, man. Only back to 1971.
How about that? Friends as Ah, Atlanta works into the into the offense here, 90 to 60 Bembry from the outside, splash down, gets that look to G O and we find ourselves.
After that three pointer cut down just 29 point lead here.
So things coming undone for the Brooklyn Nets here in the third quarter.
They may find themselves down a mere 20 points if they're not.
Careful minute to play.
It is Caris Levert with the ball getting the feed from DeAndre Jordan.
Takes on. Jones. Does back, cannot connect. DeAndre.
Jordan, working on the interior, though fighting amongst three defenders, almost came away with it.
But Brown ultimately has it.
He works it down here.
Two man game has Gary Temple.
Defending against them goes into the lane, and that will be, Oh, my goodness, they call a blocking foul against Caruso.
And I thought, That's about as well positioned as you can be.
Yeah, he moves a little bit to the right there on the second look, they do show it.
I thought he was fairly planted there in the lane.
Let's keep working our way through history.
This is a 29 point game with Brown.
The line shooting, too.
What else can we tell you about? We can let you know.
Let's go a little bit.
Let's go a little more recent January 12th 1996.
Ah, let's see here boss again. We're back in Boston.
Dana Barros, Mrs.
All nine of his three point attempts during the Celtics won 05 92 loss to the visiting New York Knicks, ending his MBA record streak as Ah, that is Garrett Temple missing from the outside here on a three bullets, a 28 point game.
Bembry works down to the lane, scoops it up and over.
Can't get it to go, DeAndre.
Shot clock has turned off your last 20 seconds of the third quarter in the hands of Caris Levert.
He's on the floor right now with Temple, Jordan, Chandler and Caruso.
This again, when you bring Dim Woody off, you still get to leave Caris Levert out there and see if he can work his own offense.
He gets in there on the elbow dribble.
Pop does not get it to go to close out the third, and it will be a 28 point lead 90 to 64 at the end of the third for Brooklyn.
Let's close out this interesting thought here.
Ah, visiting New York Knicks.
So Ah, Dana Barros, missing all nine of his three point attempts ended his N BA record streak of consecutive games with at least 13 pointer at 89.
How about that? This makes it interesting, right? 89 games.
We'll go ahead and check in on that made three pointers.
I want to see it that records been broken.
January 12th 2000.
We're there in Charlotte.
Charlotte Hornets Bobby Phyllis died, died in an automobile accident near Charlotte Coliseum.
This is unfortunately on a little bit of a sadder note here, and I apologize for speaking.
I thought these were going to be all on the positive sign.
He dies near the Coliseum following the team's shoot around.
He was just 30 years old.
The Hornets game that evening against Chicago Bulls, postponed and rescheduled.
The nine year MBA veteran became a member of the Hornets in August, not on August 19th 1997 when he was signed as a free agent In 1998 he was one of four finalists for the NBA's Sportsmanship Award and started the Bobby Phyllis Education Foundation.
So unfortunately, on a little bit of the satyr side of things, ah, member of the N B.
A family that passes and an even worse.
So is that you lose someone who was doing some incredible things in and around the n B A.
Being a finalist for Sportsmanship of the Year award and also starting a foundation intern around education.
And we know what the n b a and some of the players you try to go back to their own communities and certainly all around the country with their new teams when they get drafted, try to help build that education up and help some of the youth come out of some of these areas that maybe don't have as great access to, ah, the same level education in other areas in the country.
So ah, little bit of, ah, sad and yet still an uplifting note there in and around the MBA and some of the great work that these players do.
By the way, this is something that Doug Norrie and I talked about.
I believe on the podcast going back months.
We highlighted that idea of how you think about the NFL, and this isn't a knock on the NFL or any players or team, but boy, they certainly have their issues right when it comes in and around players.
And it's not that the MBA is a squeaky clean Ah products, certainly.
But by and large, great players, great people right there helping contribute community their biggest stars.
Think about Steph Kirti.
Think about LeBron James.
Think about going go back much.
You know all of these guys that are just ambassadors for their sport.
They do things the right way on and off the court.
Ah, and help contribute.
You want to go down a laundry list of things that someone has done for his own community.
For communities across the country, LeBron James is a guy that deserves so much more than just the accolades that he gets on the court for what he's done in and around the community.
Groups able to throw that one down there.
94 66 year, maintaining a 28 point lead as we hit the 11 30 mark here in the fourth quarter.
How about a little step back as well? Thank you.
Can't get that one or two.
Go off the backboard running over the temple Temple feeds from cruise to ah Caris.
Levert cannot connect going to the basket back here on January 12th 2007.
Friends never get a little bit closer, right? 2007 Ray Allen scores a career best 54 points in a 1 22 to 1 14 Sonics win signing the Seattle Sonics, the team that doesn't exist anymore.
That rumors and speculations they may get their team back at some point.
The Sonics win in overtime against the Jazz.
Allen's shot 17 of 32 8 of 12 from beyond the arc and made all 12 of his free throw attempts for his career high 54 points in what feels like a lifetime ago.
But I mean, listen, just 12 years ago, when I was when I was a young 22 year old gentlemen out there in the world as a connecting there is, Atlanta gets that shot to go, and it is now a 68 94 game from the corner.
Chandler can't connect, but crashing in through the lane was Caris.
Levert Looks like you may get called on the foul here, though, as he tried to recover that, and they highlight the DeAndre Jordan back cut feed there, too.
Core audience Crew who finishes through with that flush and continues to have a nice, steady performance for the Brooklyn Nets in what is now a 24 point game at the 10 30 mark.
Let's get back in that way back.
The final game, 2007 January 12th Ray Allen in the career high that caps off the This day in history portion of the Brooklyn Nets podcast.
And that will be something that'll go ahead and break out for you time and time again.
When the Nets are in blowout scenarios here, the shot will not go there off the hands of Brown back the other way we come.
Runner, as he goes out of bounds, is Garrett Temple.
He'll go to the line is it picks up the foul.
There goes against Excuse me, Collins picking up the foul, going to line shooting, too.
What I want to take a look into, Let's do, let's let's ah, let's do a little more research, friends.
This is what we're here for.
Try to look into history here and see if that three point attempts still holds true.
Temple Off the mark on the 2nd 1 95 68 come on 10 minutes to play.
Let's get that one to go from to their 70 95.
Driving into the lane is Caris.
Levert tries to go around the back of Feed their to DeAndre Jordan, who does collect and get over to Garrett.
Temple almost gets it knocked away.
And then ultimately, yes, we'll slide out of bounds and another turnover here for the Brooklyn Nets.
And there it is.
So I wonder that 89 game streak, I assumed, I want to say, Steph Curry.
Seth Curry Streak was the longest in NBA history, bettering Kyle Korver streak of 127 games.
Ah, if you add the playoffs.
Curry Streak extended 296 games during the 157 regular season games.
Curry made 687 3 pointers while shooting a ridiculous 45.
2% from long range.
How about it? One ends.
It ended a 1 57 so Ah, Curry holds that record at 1 57 Chandler outside that sample temple over the karaoke schoolbooks.
Holding gets it over to DeAndre Jordan, Jordan.
Hold it, kids off the dribble gets it over to Garrett Temple setbacks. Three.
Cause a little short road and secure rooms with a tap out.
Get that over to DeAndre Jordan, and now it will be Caris Levert.
It's none able to get that one to go 25 point game as we come upon the 8 45 mark here in the fourth.
The other thing that I want to take a look out here and we don't know.
So I'll hedge my bets crew for the extra feed over to DeAndre Jordan.
And with the flush extending the Nets back out to a 27 point lead, another assist there for road eons crews as well.
Land with a little pop in the middle of the lane there gets that look to go back down to 25 97 72.
So I'm taking a look here. I want to see.
As of right now, it looks like the Bobby Feel.
Bobby Phyllis foundation dot org's ER is still up there, and some of the highlights I'm just trying to scroll through here might as well take an opportunity to talk about a couple of interesting things TLC is going to make his first appearance here for Brooklyn in this one.
So we talked about how two rotations change.
Moussa, obviously right back to the bench.
TLC back to the bench.
But now is he replaces Wilson Chandler.
You can see who comes off first, and so far TLC has shown you enough that he deserves to be.
That next man up is Vince Carter checks back into the game as well here for Atlanta just to give you.
Ah, just give me an idea I don't want I don't want to take this off in an interesting direction, but we touched on Ah, Bobby Phyllis.
Certainly so the foundation at the core of the foundation is the goal to provide Children with the means of intellectual stimuli and grown through academic advancement, athletic programs and activities, mentoring opportunities and social should, and social and leadership development programs.
The foundation maintains an endowment fund award scholarships to deserving students, host a memorial golf tournament annually and offers a number of youth basketball and golf camps for disadvantaged youth throughout the year.
Nice job for Temple there, with a two on one opportunity finishes at the rim 99 74 The cop on seven minutes to play since since Phyllis is tragic passing in January of 2000 his family and associates have kept the dream alive through the foundation.
It is running stronger than ever, and the foundation continues to promote educational awareness throughout the nation by advancing academic and intellectual growth and motivation among youth through physical, athletic, civil and social development.
So, you know, these are some of the things, and that's why I said you want to expand the conversation a little bit about what some of these n b A players achieved off the court.
You know, this is just a beautiful example of that someone who unfortunately passes what feels like well before his time.
And yet the foundation that he establishes continues to help the youth across the country as they develop crucial life skills not only through athletics but off, obviously through social and leadership skills that they highlight there on the Web site.
But to let you know that there are a number of avenues that you could better yourself if you are inner city kids or a kid anywhere in this country, right? You know, there's oh, and it's always nice to see these opportunities be extended to maybe some youth that don't necessarily have access to some of these programs more readily.
And that's just a beautiful thing that his family and friends have continued on on.
That prolongs his legacy off the court.
Certainly I understand that any other pertinent information that we may want to highlight their Let's go ahead and take a look right when we Ah, let's go and pull up some additional information.
Let's get inside.
Right Bobby Phyllis played in career 467 games.
Averaged 11 points with three rebounds and nearly three assists.
He started his career in 1991 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He played with them for the 1st 6 seasons before signing with the Charlotte Hornets There in 97 98.
Came in the league a 22 years old.
Ah, you know, hook up.
First couple season didn't play a lot there and then the middle of it.
That's what really picked up.
Played 72 games of started 53 of them plea.
21 minutes averaging.
Ah si year averaging 47% from the field, so yeah, nice career numbers there for him.
I want to see what else we get here.
Field goal Field goal percentage. Ah, career.
44% of the shooter from the floor did not really attempt it.
Looks like you're not a big three point shooter, though.
Although it looks like, uh, I mean, he was only averaging.
Wasn't really averaging, but won a game to give you the total numbers on this here, but it certainly wasn't a downtown shooter, but again, his career is averaging anywhere from 8 to 10 shots a game, knocking down 343 to 4 per game as well.
It was a career 73 almost 70%.
4% free throw shooter as well.
So, you know, Listen, yeah, he had a night at at a nice career that at 30 years old, unfortunately, cut short.
But, you know, he feels like if you want to tie this back into a Nets game where the score is 99 74 years, 6 41 mark these air role players around the MBA.
Right? And you don't think about the necessarily because they're not the superstars, but when you know Doug Nori and myself.
Talk about this podcast on the podcast.
Talk about this Brooklyn Nets team.
We always think about what you know, who are the roll guys that are going to make those big impact plays, as Moussa now is joint TLC out there on the floor as well, along with Troops and Garrett Temple.
And then Allen has come back in here to give some minutes over the course of the fourth step back.
They're knocked down by Vince Carter added to the career totals.
But you know the role player guys, right? TLC may never go on to be a starter in the league, but it doesn't mean that you can't contribute valuable minutes.
Rodeo and Crew started 40 games last year, started a handful.
Now, this year, you don't know what his career is gonna turn out to be.
But the value as ah Mussa gets inside and works at the rim and gets his shot to go.
The value of that you can bring to a roster by playing sound minutes, being ah, no solid shooter.
There's the 333 ball won't go for Atlanta.
Moussa comes down to rebound all those things you can still build a solid career around.
And then, even more importantly, obviously, is Moussa Mrs from three what you're able to accomplish by being a member of the N.
You want to be a superstar to still be able to have an impact on society as you saw from Bobby Philips, and we know that these are things that are a ton of N b A players doing get involved in.
So that's just a nice That's a nice little piece to be able to take a step back and think about here as we head down.
Ah, 101 79 lead here for Brooklyn in the fourth quarter, Allen gives the backdoor feed to roadie on Cruise, gets met at the rim and denied thereby Jones back the other way.
We come, little handoff giving go between him and now over to the corner from crabs.
Vince Carter can't get that three to go.
Alan cheeses this one down the corner, though, to wrangle his uh, let's take a look here.
Let's see how many rebounds the big fella has now for the Brooklyn Nets.
As we approach the just under five minutes.
Nice little mid range jumper goes for Garrett Temple, 103 79.
You've got Alan now with the 10 rebounds.
He gets himself up over that double digit rebound mark.
Ah, and currently he is sitting at eight point so just one more bucket to get a nice little double double for himself.
Bembry loses control.
This one in the lane, TLC gets fouled running the court here That will get brought back as he reached in there.
Sleeper, Hold for Spencer.
Jim with the odd hot feel Pinson as he goes night night.
He's going to go night night Right now that's on four.
And then DeAndre Jordan just beats him up there on the sideline as well.
This is the kind of things that go on here in the N b.
A game when it's getting when the game's gotten away and you feel like you've locked it up.
All of a sudden, you start putting your teammates to sleep on the sideline.
Works for the two man game, for oh knows where to go straight on through with the flush there for Jared Allen and now that will give him his double double as he gets himself up to that 10 point threshold.
And how about the likes of road eons crew roots picking up his fifth assist in this one as well? So some nice work being done Wild three point shot doesn't go there from the outside.
TLC. Hands off to Moussa.
He'll work it over across the Barkleys logo.
There, on the right side, drives into the lane.
Kicks out to Kourou. Kourou.
CSA cross court to TLC Looks like Maybe he wanted to go there. To Anderson.
Little of a scramble on miscommunication.
Long ball. Don't go, though.
Crews picked up that passed there after the turnover, Moussa gets in towards the lane, kicks out to the corner.
Jared Allen thought about the three.
Take the shot, Alan.
Oh, my God! Doug Nori would lose his mind right now if he could get this one to go.
Val. Cold there.
Ah, as it's Carter picking up the foul.
Anderson gets hit there and you'll get to the line here. Shooting, too.
Vince Carter continues to knock him down.
Get inside those numbers.
Here, briefly, is Vince Carter as eight points in the game 362 of five from beyond the arc.
You can't knock the man.
He continues to be at least productive.
You could be a contributor on a roster.
Uh, we had down the structure. The very least.
You can play some of the garbage minutes when your team's getting blown out by 30.
It's Ah, now in 82 105 30 30 it. Sorry.
Excuse me, 23 point game.
How dare I, as I just give them that's, Ah, much larger lead than they really deserve in this one.
Going through the quarters here, Nets in the third quarter played to a two point lead, 20 to 2033 30 there in the second as well.
Now Atlanta up 16 13 here in the fourth quarter, but all the damage done there in that first of 37 to 16 trouncing by the Brooklyn Nets or just a phenomenal job by them, obviously setting the tone there early in the return for Kyrie Irving, he wraps his night up, having plead 20 minutes.
10 of 11 has that three pointer go down 21 points, three assists for rebounds.
Team leader was eight assists by Spencer.
**** Lady had a quiet night here, just to a seven inch from the floor and 25 minutes a game action.
But again, I didn't have to do a lot for this team to get this.
W We talked about Rodeo Rodeo unscrew.
Sorry, five assists and five rebounds.
It's It's a nice, solid night from him, uh, avoiding the mistakes.
Just that one. Turnover.
DeAndre Jordan 13 points in 24 minutes a game.
You could have three turnovers.
That's not beautiful in the verb Now.
22 minutes off night for him.
13 points, 4 14 1 of five from beyond the arc for six.
The line but did turn it over four times had the three steals next.
That's another area of his game.
Talk about Garrett Temple in this defensive prowess on the length it that that Caris Levert offers you on the defensive end, you're not necessarily gonna pick a lot of pockets.
I don't think that he is capable of that.
The other side that you're really talking about is his ability to keep active in those passing lanes where you can intercept some of those feeds.
There is a great job in its peripheral of just assessing where that ball is, where he thinks that, you know, when I think you're gonna look to rotate on the offense event and getting his hand in there and hopefully being able to pick off a couple of passes.
So you know the four turnovers.
Not great. Three steals, certainly a positive.
So you kind of balance yourself out there a little bit.
21 turnovers or certainly a disgusting one there.
Really? Starting unit.
You think about it, too, For prints, too.
For Alan to for Irving.
Four for Damian, This 11 for Harris.
So you know, overall, Harris really ends up with a pretty solid night for himself.
21 minutes. Action.
57 one or two from beyond The arc gave you seven rebounds.
One steal only had the one turnover.
So 11 points in a plus 34 margin for himself tied for that high on the team there, along with Tori on Prince, who had a very nice five of 846 from beyond the arc. 14 points.
Four players in the starting unit in double digits.
And then you talk about having another two players.
They're off the bench in double digits as well.
So you know a well balanced night for them.
Shooting percentage dropping down to just a mere 54% now.
Still shooting 10 and 26 38 a half percent from beyond the arc of 13 to 24 from the line, combined with a 21 turnovers.
Obviously, that's the red flag area.
You can obviously point to here, but questions go glowingly positive here.
Intern around the Brooklyn Nets on the return as I get a little turned around here.
Coming back in here on the game. Action.
106 82 now Anderson picking up the defense.
They're out near midcourt.
Justin Anderson knocked down one of his two free throws, Their knocked out both of them.
And then, ah, back the other way.
They came with TLC picking up that foul there.
A cz Well, so what? 06 to 82.
A 24 point game as we come upon to 20 to go.
We've done the highlights of the stat lines here.
So when this one finally wraps up.
I'm taking you all the way.
The buzzer friends.
I'm not bailing on you if you're not bailing on me so thank you to each and every one of you who stuck around all the way through this one.
And listen, when you've lost when you'd lost seven games in a row and got a big one against Miami, you want to stick around for the winds, right? You want to save him because you know you're gonna have that hard stretch coming up is Anderson drives and wildly can't get it to go.
But Jared Allen had the rebound lost in rebound.
Vince Carter comes away with it, goes around the back, works it up the front court here there, be bound, put back just a 22 point lead as we have 1 40 to play here in the fourth.
What is interesting to note here, though, as it's Carter flashes through the lane and picks off pass from TLC Alley oop, There to Jones will go 1 35 to go here.
Even in a scenario like this, where we obviously know the nets have blown this one at this we talked about they don't have another big man to go to.
They let go of Ellenson to make room on the roster with some of the pieces that were gonna be coming back.
So they really don't have the chance here to give Allan the rest of the night off.
Somebody has to be out on the court, and it's between himself and, uh, you know, DeAndre Jordan.
And obviously you could go small, small if you wanted to hear.
But the end of the day, you certainly know that someone has to just ride this one out.
So a CZ we come down the end of this stretch here as they continue thio, give Vince Carter some praise and some throwback highlight looks there.
That foul on was on Moussa.
He's at the line now shooting in a one of 7 86 lead here.
Um, what else could we say? Friends.
Let's talk about why don't we talk about here, right? Let's let's do one last.
Let's do one last look in there as he not extend the second there, one away to 86 1 29 to play, and Vince Carter has come off the court here at the end of this one.
So you talked about Ah, points totals, right? Let's see as Moussa, I don't know.
He turned it over, to say the very least.
Ben's Carter for his career.
1513 games, averaging 16.
9 points per game, 4.
3 rebounds and three assists for his career Started back in 1998 with, of course, the Toronto Raptors played his 1st 123456788 seasons there with Toronto and then came over to New Jersey in, 0405 where he played the next four.
Only only four seasons.
Four seasons, though obviously big games in those four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets.
Ah, starting there in the 0405 season, he averaged.
And now hold on a second here.
Let's close out.
That was some fun, right? Vince Carter, Minutes Area.
Vince Carter Nets Career numbers.
How about that? There you go.
So when you got into those, you got into those games with the Brooklyn Nets than our New Jersey Nets at the time.
Ah, this is Vince Carter who averaged he had 27 24 25 2120 for the Ah for the New Jersey and Brooklyn Nets over the course of his over the course of his time with the team.
His field goal percentage over those years. 40.
Let's go back to 2004.
46 43 45 45 43 asked to ignore it if you have anything you want to talk about on SportsCastr, he had nothing.
So listen, I mean, you know, if I highlight, we all know what a nice run that he had with his time with the Brooklyn Nets.
Unfortunately, the Nets weren't able to achieve the ultimate goal of winning a championship in his time here.
Ah, what else could we just highlight? Reel quick? How about let's do those that what a sister, The average in those seasons about that and even those to some of these the highest career numbers.
Really? He went off four and 1/2 4 basically almost five assists per game in the time of the Brooklyn Nets as well.
So it's a great run in his time here.
We obviously tip our hats to them.
We say Thank you so much as we get out the door.
Here it is one of the 6108 Excuse me to 86 in favor of your Brooklyn Nets coming away with a resounding wire to wire victory against Atlanta, just like you would have wanted them to.
Outside shot here will not go front.
There is a brief the shot clock and game caught different.
So one more attempt here.
Unless Moussa just lets the clock run out and turns it over.
We will, of course, as we highlighted.
So I am getting on for Annie Am recording session used coast time with Doug Nori talking about this victory and then looking ahead to some of these difficult upcoming match up starting on Tuesday with the Utah Jazz.
Following that, I will come onto SportsCastr and go over all the news and notes from the post game press conference.
How did Kyrie Irving feel getting himself back out on the floor? And what were you know, Was the team feel like now that they are 100% healthy at this current moment here? And do we expect any moves to get made as you just think about SWAT.
How about that? Jared Allen says.
End of the game.
Jared Allen swats that last shot away.
And Spencer? Jim.
What? He has the chuckle here? No, thank you.
The pro knows right? Where to go return to sender.
I don't care if they called.
It doesn't look like they did.
There will be no such goaltending opportunity there.
What a great way to finish a CZ.
Jared Allen goes up and gives his teammates a good laugh.
So, as I say, the Nets close out here. Wanna wait? 86.
The wire, the wire victory.
Fantastic effort by them to game win streak.
Now back on track with a full, healthy roster at hand, I will record with Doug Nori. Tomorrow morning.
We will get that podcast out.
They're reviewing this game, looking ahead to the Utah matchup and that stretch on the schedule with Philadelphia, Milwaukee and L.
A Lakers highlighted their lot of home games.
Just the one away game there in Philly, there s oh, certainly some opportunities for them at Barclays to hopefully get some tough W's and maybe some gut check victories for themselves.
