divisional round game.
So normally I d'oh these types of shows where I pick this offense against this defense and kind of just roll with that.
I think that this game is a pretty even matched, especially with the quarterbacks and stuff like that.
So I'm just going to do both sides of the ball on both teams and kind of talk about them and who I think will win what match up.
But first I want to talk about how I think Aaron Rodgers really needs this one.
Um, he needs this win way more than Russell Wilson does, that's for sure.
He's the host of Good Morning Football.
So us a couple days ago said that he talked to Clay Matthews like a couple years ago and claimed he was literally said that I thought we were gonna be this person of the Patriots.
I thought we were gonna be constantly back in the Super Bowl of nothing.
They did it easy in 10 4011 but it was the team.
They look strong.
They were a good team.
Although they were the 60 they made it all the way there it was the road Breuer's that made it all the way.
The Super Bowl and one and Clay Matthews stuff, that they were gonna be the strong team and consistently do it, but their defense completely fell apart.
Thompson wanted to just, you know how they're Roger.
Score a bunch of points and then they would just take care of it.
And the defense doesn't matter, but clearly, defense matters.
So the defense fell apart and the offense couldn't really get to the point.
Uh, get them where they needed to be, even though Aaron Rodgers has this all this magic and stuff like that.
So I think Aaron Rodgers need this game after not making the playoffs for the past two years.
Obviously broke his collarbone, and then he had that leg injury last year.
They really need this when Aaron Rodgers still needs to show that he's here with Tom Brady out of playoff strawberries out of the playoffs.
Aaron Rodgers, this last like old guy in the playoffs.
I know obviously Russell Wilson is there, but he's only been in the league for eight years.
Hey, Rob, there's got drafted in 05 and didn't start until eight.
He needs this one.
He needs to be able to show that he's still here.
He has the talent, even though he's kind of had it off here.
So Seattle is 26 against the run and 32nd and pressure rate during the regular season.
So I really think this could be a game where the Packers get going.
It's kind of like the Raiders game, which actually had the chance of going to, So that was amazing.
It's kind of like they have.
They're not a huge pressure team. They don't really.
They can't really stop the war on very well, So they got it.
We have to get Aaron Jones going.
We're obviously going to get the bounce.
Adam's involves Kumerow Lazard.
We have to get them all involved. Aaron Rodgers.
He's a steak whole, cool and calm under pressure.
Uh, the offensive line needs to step up, and I think that we could really find a rhythm on offense.
So a bomb first woman to compare the Packers offense in the Seattle defense.
So we all know that Aaron Rodgers blocks to go deep.
There's a couple of games where the very first play.
It's been 30 40 yards downfield because we want to see we can get off our offense going.
We want that rhythm mammal.
Matt Leffler can call a great game.
You've noticed in the first quarter in the third quarter.
He knows how to start.
Seems he knows how to call the game and get us in a good position toe, where if our offense kind of slacks off the defense, we'll just be able to pick up the pieces.
There's been a lot of drops or inability to catch the ball from drawing while Alison, Jimmy Graham Marcus about a scandal ing.
So we're gonna be seeing a little more of Lazard in Coro.
There is a specific game in my head when we played the Bears a second time this season and Drug had plenty of chances get involved in the game.
There was only cover one defense and the single high safety would just double team Davante.
Adams and drama would beat the defender and he would be open and he just wouldn't be able to catch the ball.
And it makes me so mad because I really thought that he was gonna be a vital part of this offense this year, but he just hasn't been.
He gets the separation.
He, you know, beats him on the routes, but he just can't catch the ball.
And Marcus, about a scam Ling has was supposed to be developing into our d threat, not replacing Jordy Nelson because, no, it can actually do that.
But see that guy for us? We need that one guy.
So we're gonna go deep.
He's gonna be able to catch it.
But I want to say he really doesn't know a Rogers like style more.
Uh, he throws more like the outside to get, like, the toe tap into the ER throws the toe tap.
He throws it on the outside so you could do the towpath and catch the ball, or he throws it right down the middle and he doesn't stretch out his body.
He doesn't, uh, you know, maneuver has beat Kurt his body when he's supposed to, and to be able to make those touches, he could still develop.
He's only, um I think in his second or third season.
So I think that he could eventually be that deep threat, but he just wasn't who he thought he was going to be this season, especially after kind of making a statement for his name last season.
There's this yellow defense has key players that we need a lookout for.
Obviously, Clowney is a big one.
So he was traded from the Texan.
Seattle really needed him, and they really gave us.
They really give a boost to their defense.
He can, like, take care of alignment in the matter of three seconds.
It's crazy, and I don't I don't understand how he has this ability with his feet whole standing one position and hold.
Get them all messed up and he just moves around them.
He just good does it rail fast? He he's super fast.
He ran the 40 and 4.
Uh, he's not easily confused on play calls.
You hardly see him like bite on a play action.
Anything like that.
He has the ability to trip up Lyman and get to the quarterback for more of like a run stopper, too.
We really need to.
I think it would be an interesting match up with him and boxy Ari, I think Bachtiar, Obviously All Pro.
Well, uh, I think he could win that match up as long as she's, like, Stay strong.
Yes, I've been watching a lot of film on this guy just because I want to see, like how he does it, like it doesn't see how has a 32 32 right pressure rate, but it seems that every single, every single time Clowney's stopping the run, getting to the quarterback or getting some type of pressure to disrupt the play.
You have to be able to learn how to stop that.
And I'm hoping that Bachtiar can do that.
I don't think I'm not sure if Brian blogging will be able to do that, because his injury, his injuries.
But, I mean, there's still great Lyman.
I think that they can put up a fight, but as long as we can hold him down and then we have Bobby Wagner and cagey right, so they're important to the Seahawks of linebackers.
They can cover sideline to sideline.
It doesn't it doesn't matter where they're lined up.
They hardly miss tackles.
They're the ones that you have to watch out for as well.
They they don't bite on basic schemes.
They've been in the league long enough to like know what you're going to D'oh! They'd comptel.
They can tell what offense of skiing you're going to be running.
So you can't just do these basic anything and you know, well, I think you're gonna be able be able to get away with it.
You need to step up the intensity a little bit.
You do like, or emotions or like Jet motions, you know, get Aaron Jones involved, and then I think they would bite.
Then I see you would be able to be beat them at the line or five yards from the line.
So now we do the patter of defense in the Seattle offense.
Seattle's a tough team.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but he is.
He just has this crazy magic, like in his bones.
He lives and breathes.
If ability toe make plays like continued place, scramble outside of the pocket, make these outstanding throws, I don't know how, but he dies and he's going to be hard to stop.
The Packers has not faced this type of outstanding quarterback this whole season.
We faced good teams, but it's nothing's like Russell Wilson.
He's kind of doing with the three star running backs going down the last few weeks of the season.
He's gonna have to throw this team on his back, which is what Aaron Rodgers has had to deal the last couple years.
He's kind of understanding it, but he's getting it done.
He's getting those wins.
He's he's being able to throw this team on his back.
And now, after a wild card went after going 11 and five away at the Eagles, now they come into Lambeau and there's still a chance that they're gonna be able to away, too.
So if you look at the Packers defense, they have toe be able to stop Russell Wilson.
He can't maneuver outside of the pocket and make these outstanding throws or we're gonna get beat.
It doesn't matter.
You have to be able to stop him.
He's the main focus on that offense.
So this Za'darius Smith is super versatile.
He have, like 90 pressures and pretty sure almost 20 tackles for losses 13 and 1/2 sacks during the season.
He was a great offseason pick up for the Packers.
He can rush the edge really well.
He can bust through the A Gaff.
He's this crazy guy that you need to be able to double team.
It would be smart if the Seahawks double team him, but the thing is, is they have trouble.
Continue reflection, but plus your talks from the Eagles last week in the wild card round.
So what? I'm thinking that if they go to double team Za'darius Smith, it gives people like Kenny Clarke and maybe even Kabul Frankel if they decide to bless every once in a while And, um, Kenny Clarke, Za'darius Smith qualified for all these people a chance to get to the quarterback.
So yet you take 2 to 1 person, you're gonna have to bring in an extra linemen.
You're gonna have to bring in a tight end, and you're gonna have to do those extra blocking, but it gives them a chance to get to the quarterback.
So the offensive line has had troubles.
I was watching film on the Seahawks in Arizona game, and you can see that they have trouble with the with the rush with the blitz that you know, um, rushing the passer.
So we have to be able to get that pressure and we can contain.
We can contain Russell.
So you're thinking about Seattle's offense? The first guy other than Russell something.
Think of his d came at caf.
He was this, I believe, third round pick that everyone says he was a horrible route runner.
He might be okay in the league.
I don't even know if he's gonna have a good first season.
And he has an outstanding for a season.
He's this huge guy that, like I don't even know how tall use.
But he literally it's like this, like huge guy that I would probably be like if I was looking at.
So you have to think who's gonna be covering him? So we have Dire Alexander, and then we have Kevin King are our top corners that are like, Who's gonna be covering who's gonna be covering locket? So Kevin King is taller and he's more fit to the size of decay.
Mccaf ****** Alexander is a full blown cover dude, he's the guy like for a while we were saying, Oh, he's gonna be a shutdown corner all season.
That's you know, it's because he's that good now I was looking at the game against the Cowboys.
He was getting burned by Mark Cooper so hard and I was trying to figure out why.
And it's I still honestly don't understand how he got sober him.
But he's a bigger player.
He's a bigger guy. He's tall.
I think that it would be smarter to have Kevin King on, take aim at CAF and then have dryer on lock it because I know J R can lock up, lock it for the game.
I think that it'll just be more off.
Wilson targeting Wilson Targeting uh Metcalf.
And we'll just have to figure out we'll have to keep you out to deed safeties and have them, you know, double team that stuff at some point, because so, with all the running backs going down in Seattle, they had to sign Marshawn Lynch.
Honestly, forget the name of their other running back.
But if there's a way to stop, if there's a way to stop the running game than Russell, Holsman again will be forced to put this game on his back, he will be forced to throw, you know, 35 40 times.
If Marshawn Lynch or the other guy cannot get any yards in this game.
And then if we have dry your own, lock it and we have Kevin King, Adrian, Amos, you know Tom Williams, All those guys trying to lock up became at captain.
I think that we can win this game.
It's gonna force a lot of incompletions.
There's gonna be a lot of TV use.
There might be a couple of interceptions.
We have to force turnovers.
We have to get pressure.
We have to lock up the wide receivers.
It's just you have to focus more on Seattle's offense than Seattle's defense and getting our offense going, because I hate to say it because I'm always a huge Air Rogers person.
But defense does won championships.
If the other teams can't score any points, how are they going toe win? So you really have to focus on the defense of part of the Packers and hope that they come through and my petting confined a defensive scheme that fits no way to be over the struck down the Seahawks.
The Seahawks are eight and one on the road.
They're like these road warriors the season and you think that normally Oh, they're way better home.
That's just how they are.
Like going to Seattle is hard to play in, but there ain't one on the road in the 81 also counts for the wild card went in Philadelphia, but Seattle or Russell Wilson doesn't really play in.
That type of cold in CEO now gets cold, but it's not like Lambeau cold, so there's one.
But it's mostly in the twenties, and we're supposed to get a couple inches of snow, so I'm looking at the stats on Good Morning Football.
They completely compared the cold, cold weather stats.
So Russell Wilson has only played three games in this freezing cold, which is below 32 degrees, and a Rogers has played 33 games.
Of course, he you know his home field is Lambert, so he's going to be playing a lot of these games.
Aaron Rodgers beats him in touchdown interception ratio.
I mean, he beats like everyone in that.
But so, uh, past yards per game and passer rating so fascinating.
6 bearing Rogers to 61.
4 for Russell Wilson and 206 almost 267 yards for Aaron Rodgers and 187 for Russell Wilson and Russell Wilson has once one of the three of the freezing Cold games that he's been in.
It didn't say which one, but these games include playoffs, So Level is a hard place to play.
Air lovers thrives in the cold.
He loves playing in the cold.
He's like, I want the new games. I want to be called.
I will be able to play my best football If it's in this from Russell Wilson's like oh, lying.
I mean, it's gonna be calm.
This is just a It's just football.
Like it's just a game.
It's It's no different from how you prepare for any other game.
Just like, yes, give me the cold and I don't think they're prepared for how cold.
It's actually gonna be the really limbo.
If you came out and said, Hey, we need people to, like help shovel the snow off of the field for us before the game, So if you want a volunteer like we're open, we're taking you up, so it's gonna be hard.
Russell Wilson is mobile he has d came at caf.
You know, Marshawn Lynch's came back.
It's This is a team that unscarred of with our history.
Of course, you know the film Very game, the 2000 and 14 and F C championship game.
There is history with these teams, but in the last seven times that they've played, including playoffs with Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers.
The home team is always one eye.
That's a weird stat.
Freaks me out, So I'm you know, the cold is gonna affect the sea.
Lambo is gonna affect the Seahawks.
This is a huge game, especially for Aaron Rodgers career.
I think I don't think it's gonna put this team on his back like Russell Wilson is going to have to, but I think the Packers are gonna be able to pull it out.
I think that they're this team that's gonna be able to get over them because of the way that they Seahawks can't pressure the quarterback the way that they are hardly able to stop the run.
The patterns are this huge screen team bubble screen team that can, you know, obviously check it down to the two yard line and get 15 yards out of it, especially with Aaron Jones.
He can maneuver really easily.
This is the team that I think that people should be scared of, even though they're like, Well, this is the worst 13 and three team ever.
Well, you you need to think of Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs.
The playoffs are not regular season whatsoever.
Not even close work.
Two wins away from the Super Bowl.
We don't care what you say about our team.
They're gonna come out.
They're gonna play their hardest in the snow in the cold, and they're gonna pull out the way.
Packers win 28 23.
Thanks for joining you guys.
