All right, kick off out of the back of the end zone.
Still, it will take over at the 25 as the second half gets started under way.
Rain looks like it's eased up just a bit, but not that much.
It was really coming down in the second half.
It's this Carrie picks up to before he's brought down by Peco and a few other Ravens Ravens were really dominant in that first half, especially on the ground.
In the first half.
They needed 93 to break a single season record for team rushing in a season.
Hodges plan and roll out.
Can't find anybody throws it out of bounds.
All right. Third date for the Steelers.
Hodges in the shotgun.
Hodges lets this one loose deep, and it's just out of the stretched arms of James Washington.
Still without a catch in this game as well as juju Smith Schuster.
So three and out to start the second half for the Steelers is Hodges was unable to connect with James Washington on a play.
Had it lined up, it was fairly accurate past just a few inches out of the grass of the second year wide receiver Barry gets this pun off.
Good point bounces at the 29 and Thomas will corral it, but he loses yardage and his dropped at the 17 by Justin Laying few other special teams stealers.
All right, guys, Thanks for joining me, Beth.
Back here for the second half of Steelers.
Ravens jump here in the week of the NFL regular season stealers.
Gotta win this one and get some help upto clinch a spot in the playoffs as the six seed on the A F C.
Side of things, Steel is unable to get anything going on that first Dr.
You know Benny Snell was a big part of the success, but that's been the case with Steelers.
It seems all season and trying to get stuff done with their quarterback and said it just relying on what works honestly, very frustrating thing that the Steelers have had to deal with all season.
Snell, you know, gets the one carry on that drive, but it's not enough to really put a dent in the sticks.
Anyone? Personalized advice.
Thanks for joining the broadcast RG three or good.
In this game, he's 6 to 12 63 yards in the first half, had a real confidence boost that late in the first half, getting his first start since 2016 with the Cleveland Browns.
So still good thing to see him.
They're having fun, even if it is for the rest.
It's Mark that the 18 so a tight formation Boyle moves out the tight end.
Edwards gets the Kerry and he cuts back.
He picks up the first down and make a Fitzpatrick and Terrell Lemons have to team up to bring him down after a gain of about 13 in the play, just put in a three yard rushing touchdowns to extend the Titans lead over the Texans.
So as these two games move along and Gus Edwards moves closer to 100 yards rushing for the day, he's got 95 yards on 10 carries.
It appears the Steelers, regardless of the outcome of this game, could be out of the playoff race, and RG three gets hit hard by T. J.
But he is able to get a pass off loss as you see the scenario there.
Steelers they need Tennessee and Oakland both lose their games and for Indianapolis toe win their game.
If the Steelers lose this game.
Ah, but Tennessee currently holds a 14 point margin over the Texans, who are resting their starters.
McCarron, three time national champion quarterback from Alabama getting a start.
Gus Edwards puts the ball on the ground, Joe Hayden recovers it, and that'll be Steelers ball.
All year long, the Steelers have been forcing fumbles and causing turnovers. Teeth.
Watt puts his fist in there with that punch.
It's his go to move here late in season.
It's been very effective, particularly in this one other condition where Rain is just drenching these players as well as the football incredible play by your likely defensive player of the year, T. J.
Watt and Joe Hayden is the men there to scoop it up, and the Steelers will take over an excellent field position that is the eighth forced fumble of the season by T J.
What Snell gets, the Kerry finds a crease picks up the first down.
He's got a block from Deante Johnson, and he shoved that bounds by Marlon Humphrey.
Many still has looked very good in this game.
This is the type of game where power run offense is really thrive and Marlon Humphrey went for a punch as well.
He's really good at that as well.
His punch that forced the fumble from juju Smith, Schuster and the first meeting is what sealed a ravensvictory in overtime.
Snail, now 62 yards on 10 cares he has a touchdown in this game.
Loan one for the Steelers.
He gets a Carrie here again, picks up another good gain of five after he tried to spin away from D'Amato.
Peco snail looks very confident this game.
Thanks and is racking up yardage.
You know after contact strong runner for the Steelers today, she and has the power through a few tacklers to pick up two four fours. Dealers.
Snell Talking track bread for a rivalry such as this, please.
That's gets a handshake.
Troops Hot is in the shotgun.
Looks like Gareth White is the one next to him.
Three seconds on the play clock.
Hodges puts this one up for juju, or excuse me for Dante Johnson, who hauls it in, but he only had a foot in bound.
If that and there's a flag on the play and there's holding on Marlon Humphrey.
So that'll give the steel.
It's a free first down on the drive, anyway.
Well, if they take another close look at this, if Deante Johnson's left foot is down inbounds before his right me touches and boy is that close, his right knee is left elbow are dangerously close to the sideline.
I don't think they're gonna.
Mike Tomlin is not going to challenge that first and goal from the nine.
There's a snap in the gift of Benny Snell almost tripped up, but he fights away and picks up three on the play.
Thanks for the tickets and open heart.
Thanks for broadcast.
Steelers can't take the lead on this drive, but they can't cut into the depths it with a touchdown here, second and goal from the five called the six yard line Snell.
In the single back formation, he gets the give again, and then he gets stuck into the turf when he tries to make his cut and falls behind BJ Finney.
All right, who has toppled over the back of him and the turf just gave out under neath Beneke.
Snell, who was cutting hard trying to get back to the left saw cut back lane, but he wasn't able to get to it.
Now McDonald and Juju on the left side of the formation, but they're gonna call a time out now.
College just wasn't comfortable.
They'll take a second opportunity to look and see what they've got to do.
To get in the ends up in here is to go in the third.
So the Steelers racking their huddle, Hodges still having a direct traffic as they get ready to line up 15 seconds on the play clock.
Ravens look like they're bringing pressure.
There's nobody back in the end zone.
Pressure drops off and this one's put up for juju.
But it's out of his reach and incomplete.
That was a Brit on the coverage of Juju and Judy Smith.
Schuster is just not living up to being the number one wide receiver.
He's not getting a lot of help from this quarterback play, either.
But, you know, if you're the number one guy, you've got to play well, no matter who's out there, And that just hasn't been the case for Juju now.
Chris Boswell will come out for a 26 yard attempt.
He's right down the middle of the field and right down the middle of the rights is where his kick goes for three points.
Pittsburgh cuts into the deficit just a bit.
They trail 16 to 10 with 9 55 left in the third.
Guys, thanks for joining me here on SportsCastr.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
Thank you for allowing me to be your play by play of the Steelers and the Ravens here in Week 16.
I like to see what the Steelers were doing here with any Snell trying to use him in a heavy role.
He's running hard.
He's running with a lot of determination.
And, uh, I think you got to continue to beat him.
As long as this game stays close, can allow Duck Hodges toe completely.
Take the game on his shoulders like they tried to force him to do against the Bills.
Let's get something I've been trying to check in on this, uh, on the other scores around the league.
And thanks for joining the strange man.
I think it's kind of a moot point at this point. that.
Ah, the Steelers are probably not gonna make the playoffs here.
Texans and the Bills are already locked in or a playoff game next week.
Tennessee currently leads Houston, 21 to 7.
So, UH, for 11 to go in third quarter that bear that game coming to a close relatively soon.
So it doesn't seem to matter much what the Steelers get done in this ball game.
Their season appears to be over, barring a J.
McCarron leading trying to come back with a rested Texans team, which is really a hopeful situation if you're a Steelers fan but doesn't appeared a realistic one.
Still, it's fair to kick this one off.
Give Rob Griffin the third, another chance here in the second half, and this one bounces at four before heading out of balance.
Thomas, I should say, unable to get to it.
So 9 55 left in the third quarter.
Ravens lead 16 to 10 over the Steelers in search of their 1st 14 win season and franchise history.
Robert Griffin, the third and his first start since 2016 with the Cleveland Browns, is in an anti formation takes the high snap it gets in the marquees Brown on the screenplay.
He makes Stephen Nelson almost miss.
He may have fumbled that ball, but they're going to say he was down to parole.
Edmund's would have been the man that workup for it.
I'm going to say the Brown caused the fumble as he stretched out, and that is the case started.
Dangerous thing to do.
To stretch out that ball, especially worldly, wasn't close to pick up the first down there.
Uh, all of 5859 is marquees brown 2nd 10 and three now pistol formation for the Ravens.
Five seconds on their play clock.
Gus gets the Kerry, maybe picks up a first down there.
We're gonna mark him mighty close.
It looks like he will get it with his forward progression.
Watt is coming for RG three on all of these plays as well as Bud Dupree.
They're locked in on the quarterback, their daring him to keep the ball because if he does, he's gonna lose a huge chunk of yardage.
Gus Edwards, 98 yards on 12 carries.
He nears 100 yards.
He does have the fumble that led to the three points the Steelers got on their previous Dr, but he remains in the game to the right of Griffin.
He gets to carry again.
He eclipses 100 yards, makes one man, miss, picks up the first down, and it's finally brought down at the 50 by Stephen Nelson.
Thanks for the follow same Benjamin.
And now, with that run, Ravens will become the very next team, the first team since 1977 in the Chicago Bear, the average 200 rushing yards a game Over the course of a season, they've got 160 in this game to the Steel or 68.
Robert Griffin has orchestrated this offense mighty well in the stead of the rested Lamar Jackson, but he's gonna be sacked on this play by Cam Heyward and TJ.
What came in late to try to add half a sec, but his stat line as well.
Cam Heyward verse right over Hearst and wriggled his way to the quarterback second and 17 now and Steelers fan Rejoice A J.
McCarron just scored a one yard rushing touchdown to close the gap and give the Texans a 14 to 21 deficit instead of 21 to 7 that they faced. Four.
Griffin gets this one out.
The Willie Snead and he's wrapped up of powers through my kilt in Sacral.
Pick up an extra few yards and make this third down a bit more manageable for Baltimore.
And I have to go in the third.
And it wasn't a quarterback.
Sneak is You're watching A.
McCarron made something happen with this feat.
A guy that really doesn't get enough credit.
He should have a playoff win under his belt had it not been for the actions of Vontaze Burfict and Adam Jones and a what? I don't play off game against the Steelers.
Off a number of years ago, A.
McCarron was well on his way to leading the Bangles to playoff victory.
He has since left.
And, uh, I spent some time in Buffalo and in Oakland as a backup and is now the backup for the ship on Watson in Houston and is getting his first start in some time looking to prove that he's still hold the spot in this league.
Former three time national champion at Alabama Roll Tide So, 1/4 and three now the Ravens of the best team in the NFL converting fourth downs, a 72.
7% conversion rate on the season.
Empty backfield, Steelers showing blitz is not sure that the Ravens are gonna snapped This one may have been a false start there on the Ravens, in fact, here.
No different than the delay of game penalty that they likely would have taken anyway.
So Sam Cooke will come out the point after Inger was guilty of that flag.
Fiance Johnson back to return.
This one for the Steelers.
Cook stands at his own 39 five minutes is now.
The time on the clock, almost blocked was that one, and Johnson makes a man miss it.
The five might get a block if he could break this tackle, but he can't drug out of bounds at the 19.
So it'll be a march for the Steelers, but they've got an opportunity to take the late lead over the Ravens.
They trail 16 to 10 under five to go in the third, so a J.
McCarron, trying to keep the Steelers play off hopes alive, scrambling for that one yard touchdown I love to see it, huh? Again, My name's Jacob Harris, and I appreciate you joining me here for the Steelers and Ravens.
Call You can follow me on my personal Twitter account at Jacob Harrison to Jay's Two Ends followed every sports news on Facebook and Twitter as well.
Re sports news is a little baby of mine that I'm doing for kind of my own fun.
I kind of have a brand out there for myself covering all things NFL college football, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Alabama Crimson Tide.
I'm a senior at Alabama looking to finish my first semester here, and if you are finished, my last semester in a few months, finally be graduated from there, so I appreciate your support.
Feel free to hit that follow.
But men like Button here on re sports to keep up with all of my play by play calls to call every Steelers game every Alabama game, and I'll do some, uh, some other bowl games.
And the national championship is well as the playoffs and the Super Bowl for the NFL side of things.
So again, the Steelers, if they lean on many smell for the remainder of this game.
I really do think they can pull it off.
I'm still not confident that the Titans will lose to the Texans.
So you know it's You got to do what you can do for your situation.
You know what happened last year? They didn't win the games.
They could have and should have and had to rely on a young Brown's team to beat the Ravens, and they weren't able to do it.
You know, after they won the game that it was necessary for the for the Steelers to get into the postseason had to rely on other teams.
And that's what you can't do.
You've got to create your own success in the NFL.
Relying on other teams to do your bidding is very dangerous thing to do.
Snail gets this carried to the right, and he's brought down the line of scrimmage by a flock of Ravens on that play.
As you see the Ravens pulling from what the Bills did, they're blitzing heavy and often.
They blitz 50% of the time throughout the season, and in this game they have put 62% of the time, as was Kirti of that little step blurb from the CBS broadcast.
The Texans and Titans have just started their fourth quarter.
The Titans have the ball at the 45 on a second and two duck looking for juju.
That's his first catch of the day, and he's gonna lose six yards.
So just in awful performance here from Juju Smith, Schuster and you know that's one of the things that really kind of blows my mind is that these there's no play is really drawn up for juju to get him involved in the game.
You know, Juju is one of the better talents at wide receiver in the NFL, but here we are.
It's the third quarter, and there's an actual design play for him.
That's a high percentage play.
It's just not blocked well.
And now, third and 14 after the sixth negative play for the Steelers in the ball game, Blood says common.
Marlon Humphrey gets the duck, but he added a Deante Johnson first, and he crosses the 20 with it that create a little bit more space for the points.
He was brought down by Matthew Jude on and Marcus Peters and Scott Levin I said Scott Levin.
It's Anthony Levine. Excuse me.
I think this game as well as the past few games, really the entire cities in his ah, as a Brill Testament Steelers have to make a change that offense coordinator before next season, because this offense just cannot do anything, and it's not relying on its playmakers in dire situations.
The Ravens lead 16 to 10 and they're getting another possession here in the third quarter.
Unreliable, please know that I felt for the scores.
So, um, blab it in them.
And in reality, it's not the not really not relying on that case.
It's, it seems more of, Ah, drop back and see who's open kind of offense, which it's really a dangerous thing.
I mean, that would work with Ben Roethlisberger because you can trust his pre snap reads and you can trust him.
Deering the players well to fund the open guy.
But with Duck Hodges.
I mean, you've gotta have ah one read and get out.
Kinda game plan for him, you know, one read, make it juju.
You know, on a short pattern.
Have James on a deep pattern and have an underneath route from one of your running backs, and if none of that's there, then just get out of there.
And that doesn't seem to be, Ah, play in the offense anywhere.
And if it is, the pressure gets there too quickly for Duck to really do anything anyway.
So to 42 to go in the third Raven take over at the uh, 37 another full house pistol formation.
Let's give it to Gus Edwards, who's wrapped up a brick wall named Dan McCullers, met him at the line of scrimmage and brought him down.
McCullers having a good season for the Steelers as the reserve nose tackle.
I've liked what I've seen from him this year, then a rather disappointment for, Ah, much of his career with the Steelers, the Titans actually just extended their lead.
Derrick Henry scored another touchdown, taking that lead to 28 to 14 14 minutes to go.
In that game, Griffin throws it behind Boykin.
3rd 9 Now for the Ravens, No powerful run that was an impressive touchdown by Derrick Henry, so the Titans look well on their way to earning that six seed.
You believe it? They're going to do that with Ryan Tannehill is their quarterback.
Since Tannehill took over the starting Gigot quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, they have been on a roll.
One had been playing excellent football, and they're about to earn themselves a six seat in the A F C playoff.
Cam Heyward jumped offsides on that one.
It will make it 34 and set 1/3 9 So a bunch formation to the top man comes in motion across the formation.
Justice Hill is next to Griffin in the backfield.
He won't get the carry.
Griffin leaves over and picks up the first **** crosses the 50 as well.
He's been an effective runner today.
119 total yards in this ballgame, 84 in the air, Rest on the ground.
Played a good game, to my estimation, I mean, certainly hasn't done enoughto really say that he could sign a a starting spot as Fitzpatrick brings down Justice Hill.
After Hill picks up an easy first down on that run, and we get inside of a minute to go in the third quarter three.
Give the hill again.
He brings it to the near side before he's wrapped up.
Bye, Devon, Bush.
Excellent rookie linebacker for the Steelers.
First top 10 pick since 2000 fourth of the Steelers when they picked Plaxico Burress at wide receiver.
That'll be the end of the third quarter.
The Ravens hold a 16 to 10 lead over the Steelers.
Looks like they could end the Steelers season outright.
As the Titans continue to pound on the to the Texans Steeler season, it is just 1/4 away from being over.
Well, I'll have a few things to say following the game to wrap up the Steeler season, so be sure to stick around for that.
UM, pretty disappointing season.
But we'll talk about all that in the post game.
The, uh, Tennessee Titans hold a 28 of 14 lead over the Texans, who were led by A. J. McCarron.
Is there also resting their starters in this ballgame? So, uh, things just really didn't turn out well for the Steelers here in this final week of the NFL, it's been a really bizarre week weekend for the NFL.
I mean, in the early window, the Packers came down to a last second field goal to beat the rival Detroit Lions and then just Before that, the New England Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins.
Ryan Fitzpatrick Letta game winning touchdown drive.
Got a touchdown to Mike gets sticky with less than 30 seconds to go in the game, and the Dolphins finished the season four and 12.
And I've got a theory on why the Dolphins were, ah, a little bit more resurgent.
And you kind of saw it with the Bangles to, uh, not sure you know everybody.
By the time that these teams were kind of arranged, you know where they were gonna be.
Their season was kind already what it waas.
That was about the time that Joe Burrow was really starting to pick up interest as a top five pick, but also right at the time of to a ton of a low his injury.
So I think that these teams are kind of okay with having the choice between Joe Burrow and Chase Young at the top.
Now that'll be Cincinnati's.
They've clinched the first overall pick, but that also plays into the Miami Dolphins because you know they fall in several spots back.
I think they're probably going to be picking about five or so because the Lions will be ahead of them.
Ah, the Giants will likely be ahead of them Redskins as well.
So ah, you know, they might still Yeah, you can talk about me being in Alabama.
What's up? You know, the Dolphins could still be in love with you.
It's sung by Loa and be ready.
Oh, stick with Ryan Fitzpatrick for another year as Griffin gets that one out to Nick Boyle for a seven yard gain as the Eagles right here are taking the lead over the New York Giants.
So you never know.
I mean, the NFL draft is a fun thing.
It's always fun.
It's, you know, the most entertaining thing to speculate about, you know, But we we can fully expect either Joe Burrow or Chase Young to be a Cincinnati bangle when that rolls around.
And then the very next pick will likely be the neck, the other one, depending on who's, ah, who's actually sitting there and who needs a quarterback.
Gus Edwards gets this Carrie.
He won't pick up anything brought down by Hargrave and Hayward at the line of scrimmage.
So forth and free.
It looks like you, Justin Tucker will come out for his fourth field goal attempt to the game, hasn't missed 1/4 quarter field goals since 2015.
Don't expect it to start here.
He's got a 47 yard attempt here.
Actually, the Giants just tied things back up with the Eagles off of a 68 yard say Quan Barkley touchdown run.
But Justin Tucker does his little dance because he has extended the lead.
Ravens lead 19 to 10.
The Steeler season company to a close, and I'm gonna have Ah, I'm thinking that I'm most likely gonna have.
Ah, a mock draft out tomorrow.
Uh, I knew some draft prospects work for with the first pick, a fan sided website.
So be on the lookout for that going.
Give me a follow on Twitter objective comparison to Jay's two ends and be on the lookout for that.
That may be coming your way by the time tomorrow worlds around.
It's so as we await the end of this game, not sure what the Steelers could really do with in this situation.
You're kind of getting to the point in the game where you can't run too much Thio, you know, effectively put yourself in a situation to get two scores and you haven't thrown the ball well enough to Shoesmith.
Shuster's not getting open.
James Washington doesn't have a catch, either.
So, uh, I don't know.
I I'm kind of to the point where you just put me out of my misery with the Steelers season thes past three weeks have just been torturing us.
Tow. Watch this offense.
You know, it looked like there for a minute last week.
Mason Rudolph comes in the game and, uh, you think, Wow, maybe he can be the guy again.
Maybe he can come in and lead this team to victory here and get that win over the Ravens and take us into the playoffs, but doesn't look like it's gonna be the situation now, since ah, he's on I r and Duck.
Hodges still is playing particularly well.
He's been smarter with the ball today, but he still had the fumble.
That's really been the difference in the ball game.
Matthew Jude on got in on a blitz and, uh, forced that fumble picked up by Michael Pearson.
It four plays later, the Ravens had extended a ah extended their lead and doesn't Ducker so good he can fall down on kick and still nailed the kick right down the middle.
So and then he puts this one out through the back of the end zone yet again.
13 29 left in the game.
So talk takes yet another low snap stand strong in the pocket and throws that one.
So the sideline for No.
One and the Denver Broncos air out to a 16 to 3 lead over the Raiders.
So, uh, the lawyer, the Raiders air gonna have much luck in this playoff race, either.
The Colts are losing to the Jaguars as well, and Benny Snell takes advantage of the style of tackle and is able to spin up field and pick up about seven.
And he's had a magnificent game that creates third and two on the place, so he picked up eight.
He's at a magnificent game.
He's been a fun, fun treat to watch.
The Steelers just haven't been able to sustain any kind of lead and haven't leaned on him in more obvious situations.
So the tent for third down attempt for the Steelers they've been better this week than they were last.
Therefore, for nine and so far, three seconds on the play clock.
This one gets off.
Jude on comes in quick, this one for juju shovel pass, and he picked up the first down.
He's still fighting rolls to the 44.
See, those are the kind of place that I was talking about late in the third.
Let's design something for Juju.
Let's make sure the ball is in his hands.
That's his second catch.
And, honestly, it probably has three total receiving yards now because his 1st 1 lost six.
He's actually got six.
That was a 12 yard gain on the play.
It didn't seem quite that long on first watch.
So first in 10 the give is the snail.
Find some space up the left side and is brought down after a gain of five 82 yards for Benny Smell.
In this game 17.
Carrie's been a war course.
Duck looks deep.
He underthrew this one by a lot, and beyonc? Johnson still couldn't corral it.
And there you see the lack of arm strength from Duck Hodges.
He's really there's a reason all of his completions come short, short to the field.
You know within 10 yards, and he underthrew that one in the double coverage was really the best thing he could do.
But Dante Johnson still didn't judge the ball well and couldn't get a hand on it.
So Jalen Samuels is now in the backfield with duck ologists juju to the bottom of your screen.
He's flanked by Dante Johnson.
Blitz coming but can't get away.
That was a pass, and Duck is shaken up on the play again.
Paxton Lynch is the backup.
Should anything happen, he got rocked, brought down awkwardly and hit his head hard on the turf.
No and insult to injury.
That's gonna be intentional.
Grounding no so forth, down for the Steelers.
And it's just one thing after another for Pittsburgh and just whoever.
And you gotta kind of blame that one on BJ Finny, but also Alejandro Villanueva.
Uh, the slide protection was to the right.
All the pressure came from the left.
Two guys came free, and Matthew Jude on just happened to be the 1st 1 there, and that gives him 10 and 1/2 sacks on the season.
Right and Barry will be out to point.
He's standing at his 23 and I think the Ravens leaned into the neutral zone, but I think they might call this on.
The Steelers candidate was putting a lot of wiggling Long snapper.
It's you, Yeah, and you see Jim Harbaugh saying he's shaking the ball.
Candide, the long snapper for the Steelers, was he was wiggling a lot and insinuating he was about to snap it, but he never did.
Candide was guilty of a false start last week that drew the jet offside, but they said, because of his head fake that it was actually an offensive penalty.
So Barry gets to put this one away now after the penalty.
But this one is stopped at the one, maybe the half yard line, a great effort from Johnny Houlton tohave the world with auto rack that one up and toss it back to Justin Lane and Hodges.
Feeling the effect of that.
That last quarterback hit will simply if he's going to return to the game or if it'll be Paxton Lynch.
But right now, RG three and the Ravens are set to come out and wrap this one up offensively and try to run some clock off.
It's so Steelers is offense.
Excuse me, The Steeler season is Ah, coming to a close here soon.
See if we can pull it this Texans Titans score history.
I was gonna try to pull.
Ah, RG three will take this snap in his own end zone.
Gives the Gus Edwards he picks up three.
Gets back to the five yard line.
Gus Edwards is out of magnificent day barring the one fumble over 100 yards on the ground for him because the Eagles are taking the lead back over the Giants.
All the Eagles have to do is won their game and they're in the playoffs as the NFC East champions.
So again, RG three stands on his goal line, this time with a heavy formation to his right fakes to give Gus Edwards he gets hit.
But this is complete to his receiver these things.
That was Jalil Scott coming up with his first catch of the game in a tight spot as Vince Williams had put the pressure on Griffin and nearly gotten home for the safety third and one for the Ravens from the 11 and RG Fail call a time out artist of the half at 9 52 in the fourth.
So 3rd 1 now upcoming, The rain continues to drench this feel that M and T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
The Ravens have converted on half of their 12 3rd down attempts today, and Griffin will keep this on a quarterback.
Power can't find the edge.
Fitzpatrick brings him down for no gain.
So now Sam Cooke will have to come back out and put this one away, and the Steelers still have a bit of life.
If anything, they're still pride to play for in this game and also a winning season.
You win this, you still go 97 That's still respectable.
Especially all things considered.
You play, uh, nearly the entire season.
I'm not sure that the Ravens picked up enough, though.
They think I have, and they have.
It's a first down.
They're still Steelers, that air signaling that all sorts of confusion and that running back or fullback RG three.
That was number 41 of those.
Anthony Levine, the linebacker defensive back player who was directly behind the uh, the long snapper on that took the direct snap and power forward picked up the first down so 9 13 left in the Ravens keep possession was a gutsy play call in their own red zone, going for a fake punt and converting.
And Mike Tomlin's gonna challenge this.
And, uh, Mike Tomlin doesn't have a great record when challenging plays.
So, uh, not sure what he expects to gain out of this after there was a scrum for the first down, though, uh, we'll see what happens.
They're going to take a break, and so will I.
Else t did the Ravens convert on that fourth and one chips car New time? Simple.
And yes, he lives here.
But I don't What? Here? You should generous just And as expected, they come back in the call stands.
Not sure what might topple one expected to get out of that because there was a scrum.
It's impossible to Ah, Ripley narrowed down the precise spot.
Um, so they lose that second time out as well as that challenges.
There's 907 to go in the game, Gus Edwards behind RG three as they come out, and yet another pistol formation and a busted play.
Hey, RG three just takes it up the middle and picks up seven on his own.
Accord RG three was looking to give to write.
Gus went left and he just took it up the middle and it still managed to work it out as Hargrave was the one that brought it down down the field during.
So this give is to Gus Edwards and he'll pick up the first down Tyson.
A Lulu drags him down, but he picked up seven on the play, so we're under eight minutes.
The Ravens are just gonna burn clock here.
Their next Russia likely take them over 200 yards, and it does get some right to it.
The ripens the first team since the 19 and 77 so average 200 yards rushing per game in season.
That's Ah, mighty no ridiculous stat, to be honest, but there's a reason they're the undisputed number one seed.
You know, the NFC still fighting over the number one seed S c Baltimore came in.
They had already wrapped it up second and nine.
Now give us Justice Hill who picks up to Sure, and as they discussed on the broadcast.
But Dupri is out of the ballgame right now.
Anthony Chick close in.
Dupree looked like he had suffered some sort of neck injury in the first half, but has since returned.
He's not a ball game now, and Chicken Little gets blocked on that play, which springs open the edge for Justice Hill, who I think actually managed to slide for the first down if he wasn't touched.
They hit the six minutes remaining mark in the ball game.
I was mighty close.
Best Edwards has over 700 rushing yards on the season.
Now Lamar Jackson is actually leading rusher.
You can see from that graphic Mark Ingram barely got over 1000 for the season, and this doesn't appear to know what happened.
I don't think Justice Hill was touched and the Ravens somehow come out this with a delay of game.
Yeah, Steven Nelson jumps over him, Mark Bear and never touched him camp a word never touched him.
I mean, I'm not for the Ravens gaining success, but, uh, they did not.
I was a first down, but, uh, a delay of game, and it was fourth down based on spot.
That was not, uh, the real spot.
Not sure why Baltimore didn't just challenge that play.
It's Dwight now after the delay game, but 5 28 to go in the game.
Sam Cooke is back of his own 13.
To put this one away.
To DeAndre, Johnson stands up to 20 Johnny Houlton filmmaking off that gunner like he might have wanted a rush.
He's gonna come.
Well, he does Back off, and that is a poor punt, but it gets a Ravens bounce.
It bounces from the 33 down to the 19.
So everything bouncing the raven's way in this ball game that punk included Duck will remain in the game, and Derrick Henry just busted off a 53 yard rushing touchdown for the Titans that extends their lead. 35.
It's a 14 over the Texans.
So that game pretty much in hand, I think, the clock said about five minutes left in that game.
So, uh, doesn't matter what the Steelers do in this ball game.
If they can't find a way to win it, all it would grant them is a nine and seven record and 100 percent authentic nothing.
So Duck takes this low snap yet again and launches that one out to James Washington, who drops yet another pass in this ballgame.
The third my count.
He still stands with no catches, the third rushing touchdown by Derrick Henry.
He's been absolutely dominant in that ballgame.
Gonna wrap up that six seed in the NFC Playoff for the Titans.
Duck gets rid of that one quickly, and it bounces up in the air.
It's nearly intercepted by Marcus Peters or excuse me, a Brit.
Ju Ju just couldn't hold on to that one.
That's been the recipe all year.
I mean, slightly inaccurate passes.
Juju can't haul him in.
And now third and 10 awaits the Pittsburgh offense.
4 46 left in the ball game.
Ravens bring pressure.
It's picked up by the Steelers offense well, but that one is overshot for Dion, say Johnson.
So nothing bruise on that dry of steel is.
Well, just concede it and put this one away.
And, uh, all things considered, Hopefully, no, honestly, the Ravens could just run this clock out and call mercy for the Steeler season.
Harry drops the ball and he's dropped at the two yard line.
He may have fumbled it himself.
It's a touchdown for the Ravens got even worse.
It was a low snap.
Barry had to go down for it.
He couldn't corral it.
And then he gets tackled on.
WASA are forces the fumble and 28.
I believe that's Trey Wick.
Richards actually falls on it for the touchdown and some salt in the wound For how this Steeler season is gonna end.
Wow, right first, you.
In the past three games, the Steelers have not been able to score more than 10 points this game included, and Tucker's extra points good 26 to 10.
We'll get another shot at it on offense.
Get one more chance toe.
Disappoint the Steelers nation.
It's just it's been rough, man, that the weather has not helped the Steeler cause whatsoever since they kind of fell behind and that haven't been able to rely on Benny Snow all the way that they did through the 1st 3/4 Here's a look at Paxton.
Lynch doesn't look like they're going to give him an opportunity to take snaps in this ball game.
You're gonna stick with duck for the for the clothes, down by 13 with 4 36 to go.
Tucker Pooch is this one and care If White can't even bring that one in, he picks it up with the freaky and then gets leveled at the five.
So it's just getting uglier.
It's just getting worse and worse like, Can we stop the bleeding, please? It's free.
So So Doc is in his own end zone.
This is a screenplay for Jalen Samuels.
He can't capped it.
It was an incomplete pass stuck in and 10 now for the Steelers.
Duck handles it.
He's got some pressure and he goes down very awkwardly.
It did throw that.
That was a pass.
It's ruled incomplete.
I'm not sure he had anybody over there, but that was an ugly way to go down.
Brandon Carr was the one who brought him down and brought down hard, and that's another intentional grounding call on Duck Hodges, and that's in the end zone.
So it is a safety, so Oh, my gosh, it keeps getting worse.
Now is this for? And hopefully that could be the final score.
But those this these last three minutes of play of really, and it's been the Steelers summary for the entire season.
They they fought and fought and fought, but at the end of the day, they just don't have it right.
That's and, ah, it's ugly.
What's no work? What? So Barry will have toe free kick this one away? This one is brought in by Willie Snead and he's got an edge.
He hurdles a a block, and that block may have been illegal by the Anthony Thomas.
This game is ruthless.
That just won't end.
It was an illegal block in the back by the Anthony Thomas.
You're sure? Just right.
So Griffin, still in the game, and he's gonna throw deep for one of the first times of the game, and that is well out of bounds.
Not even close were Jalil Scott, so you can go ahead and, ah, stamp Tennessee in give them some tickets, go to Foxboro playing Gillette Stadium against the New England Patriots.
That's a daunting task for them, But, ah, you know, anything can happen with the Patriots that lose to the four and 12 Miami Dolphins today, and the Titans have been on a hot streak.
The Patriots haven't always looked good on their way to a 12 4 season that Gus Edwards run goes are about to as we get under four minutes.
Third night now for the Ravens, 3 32 g o.
This one is kept by RG three.
He'll pick up the first down with these, for he's tripped up and he's earned the right, destroyed his stuff after that.
First down, he has played a great game to this point.
He's been very smart with the football.
He's made plays with his legs.
He's been, uh, hasn't been incredible, throwing the ball.
He's been very subpar in that department, but he's made plays and he's protected the ball.
Which is the number one thing you want a backup quarterback to do.
Preserve his job in the NFL for as long as he would like it.
Showing he has the ability to play one of the NFL's best defense is, uh, bar none and come away with the wind And RG three took a very ugly on sportsmanlike kit on that play.
But the zone read gives but do prithee the authority to do such a thing.
What that will take him to the two minute warning.
Just two minutes.
It's two minutes left in the Steelers season.
Pretty sure the Titans toe finished off.
I can't get any scores to pull up.
And oh, Lord, been a rough season.
Kind of ready for this one toe wrap up was right for it a while back.
And, uh, just chaos ensued and made everything even force on the Steelers.
Jordan Barry, bobble the snap and ah ended up fumbling it once he recovered it.
And that resulted in a touchdown that air Jordan Richards fell on it in the end zone.
And then the Steelers couldn't handle the kickoff return either.
Is that went over the head of Carat white and he got pounded at the five yard line.
And then duck Hodges.
They ran a screenplay, couldn't complete it to Jalen Samuels.
And they Hodges got debt that the in the end zone again and got called for intentional grounding.
And that was the safety.
And that brings the score 28 to 10.
It's been an ugly fourth quarter.
It's been an ugly game.
Uh, just been up ugly all together for the Steelers.
So hopefully this still the Ravens show a little mercy and just ah, pick up a first down here and run this clock out.
CPS she Really? So the 2nd 8 give us the gust Edwards He gets wrapped up by Cam Heyward.
Only picks up to was an ugly way to go down but gets up to this fine Steelers won't be calling a tight end tight and a time out.
Cares third and six for the Ravens.
They do need to pick up first down Thio completely run out the clock associates.
Give us two Sneed.
He won't pick up the first down, so the Ravens will likely pump this one away.
Titans have officially beaten the Texans.
Includes that six seed.
So the Ravens will call a time out right here before they put it away to eat up as much clock as possible.
Six years, right.
So the Ravens offense is back out there.
Don't know if l b uh, kneeling owner.
What? Running one last play.
Try to keep the ball away from the Steelers offense and any tomfoolery looks like they will run a play.
RG three stands at his own 50.
It's fourth and five, and he's gonna throw gets that one off.
It's intercepted, huh? Joe Hayden adds one more to his total for the season, and RG three, wishing that one never got thrown after he got batted up in the air puts Ah, Astra.
Pick on his score line is stat line.
Today, a word gets a big park.
And, uh, Hayden doesn't catch it cleanly, but he rolls over on top of Jalil Scott and is able to haul it in and add one more to his impressive total.
Not sure how, exactly how many that is, but he he certainly leads the team.
It's like many Snell get the final carry of the game and he'll bounce it outside.
Pick up 10 and, uh, that takes him rather close to 100 yards.
But he will fall short, and that is the end of the Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 season.
They will finish 88 the Baltimore Ravens there 1st 14 win season in franchise history, the first time they've ever cliched the first the top number one seed in the A F C playoff.
So the A F C playoff is completely set.
Tennessee will head to New England next week, while Buffalo will head to Houston.
Baltimore will await the lowest seed remaining, while Kansas City will await the, uh, higher seed.
So let's talk stealers.
They fall to eight and eight, and it waas and ugly one throughout.
You know, they had the big yeah, the big winning streak there for a little while and, you know, things look promising that they may be ableto finagled her way into the playoffs.
But at the end of the day, they couldn't overcome the injuries.
Ben Roethlisberger goes down, and we, too, with a weird elbow injury on his throwing arm.
And then Mason Rudolph comes in and he looks like he could be the savior.
He could just be the game manager that the team needs to take advantage of its excellent defense.
The and that turned out not to be the case.
Defense played lights out the entire season, though.
I mean, uh, TJ, what could very well be the defensive player of the year make a Fitzpatrick? Probably a top five candidates for that ward is well, he's played out of his mind, really cooled off here in the last few weeks, though Joe Hayden played excellently all season.
You know Devin Bush, defensive rookie of the year candidate.
Hey, certainly won't win it.
That's going to Nick Bosa? Uh, most obviously.
But you know, the Steelers offense, I'm gonna say, First of all, let's get this out of the way.
Steelers going eight and eight is remarkable.
They had no business going 18 8 with way This offense played the entire season, even with the help that the defense created defense led the league in sacks and turnovers.
And, uh, you know, that's that's incredible when your offense can't move, the ball can't put the ball in the end zone can establish a running game.
Just Connor leads this team with rushing yards and four hundreds and juju Smith, Schuster, Dante Johnson, Uh, James Washington.
Those guys have, like, 40 catches apiece, and I think James Washington leads the team with about 700 yards on.
That's because he's a deep for it, So ah, overall wasn't impressed with Mason Rudolph this year.
I was not impressed with Duck Hodges whatsoever, and you know what I look forward to next year with Ben Roethlisberger.
He'll be coming back.
But, you know, you've gotta You've gotta settle down that second spot and the Steelers that don't have a first round pick.
So they're not gonna be able Thio, you know, out the gate.
Count on being able to draft bends you server.
Uh, but I'm going to stake my claim right now.
They need to work on something to trade into the first round.
You might have to trade, but Dupri, I'm not sure.
Uh, you got to do something to get into that first round.
I think you got a target, too.
It's under my lower if he comes out if do it Song about Lola enters draft.
I think that is the best situation for everyone involved.
Um, Based off the way the offense is built and the fact that 21 needs time.
If he does come out, it is probably not gonna be ready to play by next year.
And Ben will be back.
It'll be one more year.
He'll probably understand what's going on.
Um, but, you know, I wouldn't be mad if that doesn't happen.
I do think the Steelers need figure something out of court back though.
Um for life after Ben Roethlisberger.
I'm proud of the team as much as I'm disappointed in them, but ah, hats off to Mike Tomlin.
Man, I I can't imagine him not being the head coach of this team.
Shame on anybody that thinks that he shouldn't be toe.
Take that team that offense t eight and eight by creating that defense.
That's an incredible coaching job, and I'll end with this.
Randy Fichtner should be fired.
Um, still, his offense look terrible against the Patriots, and that was with Big Ben.
They looked terrible against the Seahawks before Ben got hurt.
And, ah, they have not looked good sense.
They don't create plays for their playmakers.
They don't take into the place, don't take into account situations, don't take into account how players are playing.
It certainly doesn't take advantage of who's playing well.
James Connor, too.
You know, the and that Bills game was laying out of his mind, and we, you know, just refused to feed him.
So, uh, all those things considered I don't think Randy Figure should be back.
Now, here's the thing is raining.
Fichtner is really good friends with Ben Roethlisberger.
They have a great relationship, so who knows? But this team couldn't put up more than 10 points in the past three weeks, and it wasn't just because of Duck Hodges.
I mean, you've gotta put that quarterback in the situation to succeed and asking him to throw the ball 30 some odd times a game and deep down field all the time when you know that's not his strength is not how you get that done.
So uH, yeah, I hope that Randy Figure is not the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers next year.
That doesn't mean that I have a preference on who it should be.
That doesn't mean that I think that the team should stop trying to throw the ball so much and relying on power run game.
I do think this is a team that is ingrained to run the ball first and past second, but if your strength is throwing the ball, the by all means do it.
You know, that's what brought the Steelers such success over the past few years, when Ben was healthy and he had a bee in a and juju and left Belle and all those things.
So uh, but moving forward.
I think the Steelers have an opportunity to make playoffs next year, especially with some quality moves in the draft and free agency.
I think you've got to find some veteran leadership at wide receiver.
Everybody in that wide receiver room is just too young, Um, and you need somebody out there that can help Juju become a number one wide receiver because a B didn't do that for him.
And this year he it wasn't it, man.
He finished that game with two catches for six yards, and one of them was for a loss of six.
So I think that's something that the Steelers have to look out for next season.
And, uh, hopefully they do.
But you know, that's the end of the season.
They finish eight, mate.
Hopefully, the Ravens don't go on to win a Super Bowl, because that would break my heart.
But in all seriousness, it's been fun calling the Steelers games.
But now it'll be onto the Alabama Crimson Tide next week for the Citrus Bowl versus the Michigan Wolverines.
That's when I'll be back for some more play by play again.
I'll do the playoffs.
Some more bowl games in the national championship.
