Hey, what's up? Everybody's Jerry Bailey.
The Unwrapped Sports Network.
Um, so we start off yesterday with my big five of the week.
Two games were in that Slater was Houston in Tampa Bay, which I had Houston minus three.
And then I have Buffalo plus six and 1/2.
So about the best start yesterday to my slate of games, but still going to this week 12 for in one of the past three weeks.
Not a horrible month that we've had in terms of Bendix, will you? Three games from today, they should look to make a move on from the betting.
I will start in Los Angeles, where the Oakland Raiders are 7 1/2 point underdogs at the Chargers.
I would bet Oakland plus seven and 1/2 against the Chargers.
We know the black hole's gonna travel Well, um, the Chargers have probably the worst home field advantage in the NFL.
Reports came out.
They had to use a silent count last week at home against Minnesota.
That's how many Viking fans were there, um, outnumbering their own home fans.
So, um, I don't think the Chargers have done anything to warrant being 7/2 point favorites against Oakland.
They got blown out at home last week by Minnesota.
Oakland hasn't had the greatest month, either.
That kind of fallen out of the playoff race still have a minuscule chance of getting in.
But I've been playing their best bubble as of late, but still, just Jacobs is probably going to the offense of rookie of the year.
Derek Carr has been somewhat inconsistent.
That was well this year, and questions about his job have been floating around as well What Jon Gruden wants to do next year, but defensively, their pass rush has been surprisingly good at times to share a very young pass rush, that is, but the charges haven't done anything to impress anybody.
Obviously, they have the more talented team on offense and defense.
But, um, seven and 1/2 is a lot to give, so I would take Oakland plus seven and 1/2.
I still think that the Chargers, um, just having a more talented team is still going on win.
That said, I think that Open keeps it close from 7/2.
That's a lot of points to give.
Detroit in Denver another game where Detroit seven a half, so I'll take Detroit plus seven and 1/2 again Denver and consistent this year.
Um, have Andrew Luck.
Quarterback has been a nice upgrade.
Obviously, last week in the snow against Kansas City was, um, kind of his first big test.
But the elements kind of.
I think that's the best of them.
And Drew, like, didn't play that great the offense to play really great, either.
I mean, despite all the things that they've gone through this year, they've put up fights against us about everybody that they played.
So I think that I'm Detroit seven and 1/2.
I would bet the truck plus seven AP against Denver, although it is in Denver.
Um, I don't think that that really warrants.
Um, I don't think that Denver, much like Los Angeles, done anything to warrant being in almost eight point favorite this week.
So obviously, playing in Denver will give a whole new element and itself, but I'll take Detroit plus seven and half this week.
I like a lot of underdogs this week.
Arizona's eight and 1/2 at Seattle plus eight and 1/2.
I'll take Arizona plus eight and 1/2 this week, Um, in both games against the 40 Niners, they very well could have one they kept within one possession.
I think you're a much better team than Seattle.
I think that their defense is far better than Seattle's.
So I think that Kyler Murray is gonna have a solid day.
It is on the road, but that said he didn't seem to miss a beat when it came to facing the 40 Niners really this earlier this season.
So Cuyler Murray has had a very good season as well.
Very underrated season.
3000 passing yards, 500 Rationalizing the quarterback in the NFL to do that so far this year, and no one's really talking about it.
So, um, the number one overall pick showing that that offense works for him? Um, I think that once he gets this year under his belt, I think going into next year you could take a very big leap.
I like what I've seen from them so far defensively.
Yes, they still have a lot to desire, and they just let go to roast subs for whatever reason, Um, so I think that Arizona plus eight and 1/2.
I think their offense is good enough to keep it closer.
I think that defensively Seattle was Seattle's defense is better than Arizona's, but nothing too much better than theirs on itself.
I would say Arizona plus eight and 1/2 against the Seahawks this week, So give a quick recap of the three Oakland Plus seven a half Detroit plus 7/2 and Arizona plus eight and 1/2 our bets to look for this week.
Let's take a look at the current playoff picture in both conferences because each year, yes, obviously, there's gonna be six from each conference I go, but I think we can break them down into three separate categories.
So we'll start off in the NFC Um, one through six.
San Francisco Green betting New Orleans and Dallas, very current division leaders and then Seattle in Minnesota.
The five and six spots.
And then Philadelphia endows, always gonna battle for that four spot today in Philadelphia and then the FC um, Baltimore, New England, Kansas City in Houston.
They all have their divisions wrapped up.
They will be the division winners that kind of fighting for position right now in terms of New England sells an outside shot of getting the one seed Kansas City style is an outside shot of getting the number two seed, but Houston's kind of locked into that number four spot on Buffalo's locked into the five spot and then Pittsburgh, Tennessee.
You're doing it out for the six spot, but it looks like that Pittsburgh will ultimately get that.
Depending on what happens in Tennessee.
They do a tough wrap up to their schedule as well.
So I think that we can break down each, UM, we could break down.
These playoffs seems into three different categories.
That starting number one is the true contenders, the teams who are the best all around teams of a bunch of the best shot of getting to the Super Bowl.
I think that that has four teams.
I think the true contenders to be the Chiefs.
I think that defensively, they've been very good the past month.
They're allowing the least amount of points since Thanksgiving.
Patrimony is looking great as ever.
I obviously did miss a few games early on in the, uh the injury, but their defense is playing great, Tiger Matthew showing what a great edition he was to that team.
And I really love how their offense is playing right now.
We know about all the weapons that they have, And, um, last year there were missing a defense, and right now they've got a much improved defense from last year.
So the Chiefs are true contender, the New Orleans Saints as well.
I think that they playing with a chip on their shoulder from last year, Drew Brees looks as good as he's ever looked defensively.
The secondary does have somewhat inconsistent issues that they need to deal with.
Marshawn Lattimore is great, but they do have a lot.
Um, maybe not a lot, but Mom Belle in the secondary, um, at safety, they do have a little bit of a whole, but overall, I think that the front seven very good Cam Jordan is one of the more underrated pass rushers in the league.
So I do like the Saints a lot.
I think that they, on both sides of all, are one of the more well balanced teams in football.
I like the 40 Niners.
I have said that all year long.
Um, I don't think that they're gonna be miserable, because this is their first year being very good.
And like I've said, it takes teams at least year to kind of be good and then kind of rebound and then try to make a running thing.
So they're obviously gonna be a playoff team.
Um, I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the NFC championship game, but I don't think they're quite gonna make it to the Super Bowl.
Same thing with Baltimore. True contender.
The way they played this year.
Um, matter definitely contender in the A F.
That said, I like to chiefs more than them, but I'd be surprised if they made it through Super Bowl per se.
I wouldn't be surprised if San Francisco made it, but I think they're still about a year away.
Now the second category goes to seems that I wouldn't be surprised if they made it in.
They could make it, but they're missing something that doesn't make them quite a serious contender will start off with the Green Bay Packers.
I thought about how much I love the Packers all year long.
Um, but they're missing something on both sides of the ball.
The defense has kind of taken up X Step back since they had that solid first, about month and 1/2 of the season.
And then ever since then, they really haven't been too much to desire.
Secondary wise, they haven't been good.
Obviously, their pass rush with precedents of Jerry Smith have been good of secondary.
It's very young secondary.
Adrian Amos is good, Um, sa***e from the rookie from Maryland. He's been good.
Ah, bunch of young guys who need to kind of put it all together on and they've been dealing with was making young player mistakes.
Aaron Rodgers, obviously a Pro Bowl guy.
I would've put Kirk Cousins in that spot over Aaron Rodgers.
Their offense hasn't been as good as it has been in passengers this year.
So a little bit to be desired with Green Bay, Minnesota.
I love what Kirk Cousins has done this year, but I've never seen him in a playoff game.
So I think that that's the one thing that would turn me off to Minnesota with the fact that they have a quarterback who's never had playoff experience leading them into a playoff run.
So that's the one thing that would keep me away from thinking.
Minnesota's a true contender.
I love their offense defensively.
Dino hunters. Great.
Here's the Smiths great.
They got a really good defense as well.
So I think the one thing that really just turns me off to Minnesota is the fact that their quarterback has no playoff experience and this will be his first rodeo in January.
So we'll see how Minnesota does.
But the one thing that turns me off of them is Kurt Cousins, even though he's on a great year.
Their defense isn't good.
They rely too much on Russell Wilson.
Win games when you're playing the best teams in the NFL, Um, that's not gonna.
That's not how you win games.
Need to be a balanced team.
Defensively, they're not good.
So I think that relies too much on Russell Wilson.
The run game just isn't there all the time.
Um, Chris Carson's okay, I don't think he's I don't think he's among the elite.
Um, just really have a lot of help. Russell Wilson.
Um, I like Tyler Lockett.
Metcalf but they rely on the past game too much, and there are They rely on Russell Wilson.
Too much defense isn't very good.
I'm keeping out of the Pretenders now.
Like I said, What? It shocked me if they made a no, because Russell Wilson's that good.
But I just think that they have a lot of problems on defense that, um, you're gonna exploit another Patriots.
Defensively, we know that they were incredible the first half of the year.
Then they kind of taken a big step back since the bottom or game offensively we know about there was they have no weapons other than Julian Edelman on.
And then it's just a bunch of guys.
You're being plugged into roles each week and got a rotating.
And they're trying to fill these stopgaps, whether it be a receiver, whether it be a tight and they use a running back black committee, Um, pages just don't have that go to guy other than Julian Edelman.
They don't have a big guy like rock anymore who they concerns.
Right now, it's Tom Brady and Julian Edelman, and whoever they put in that week, McKeel Harry has been dealing with injuries all year long, and since he's come back, he hasn't been very good.
They traded a second round pick to get Mohammed's knew who hasn't really panned out to do much, either.
So, um, if they can get those guys more involved and they start to step up, then yes, I think they could be, you know, obviously, put in that treatment center place.
I don't probably gonna regret that, because why would I doubt the Patriots? They've been and a trillion Super Bowls in the past 20 years, so we'll see.
But this is probably the worst Patriots team off this decade.
I would say they're still sitting at 12 and three, so we'll see what happens.
But I think that they have a lot to be desired on offense.
Defensively, they're taking a step back, too, and now the final group is playoff teams that are gonna be there.
But they very well could be one of Dunne's.
And I don't think that any shot of making Super Bowl one team being Kurt Thomas.
Sir, I apologize to you, buddy.
I love you, but the Buffalo Bills their defense.
I like them a lot But do I see them beating Kansas City now? Do I see them beating Baltimore in Baltimore? They gave him a run for their money, but no.
Do I see them? They haven't beat New England yet this year.
They gave him a run for their money both times, but I don't see them beating Baltimore, either.
Um, so now the fact that I hate Josh, I don't hate Josh Allen.
Jocelyn's made tremendous strides this year, Um, one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in football.
Their defense is great, but I think they're still.
Alan used to progress more to a better accurate passer.
For me, it's a believing them is true contender.
So there'll be a playoff team.
They earned that, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were a one and done.
Pittsburgh. Another team.
They have no quarterback play whatsoever.
Colleges make some rough.
Whoever the hell they put in there, they're not good enough to win playoff game right now.
They would go to Arrowhead.
I think that would lose that game by 15.
At least I love their defense.
Obviously, it's one of the best in the league top three defense.
But, um, their offense can't do anything, definitely just threw four interceptions.
Last week, you threw four interceptions.
They still lost by a touch on trust that shows you have good.
That that defense is, um, I don't have a quarterback.
Um, I don't really have a run game.
I don't have a fast game.
They have a defense who they need to rely on way too much, and they will be a one and done team if they get in, um, Tennessee.
On the other hand, if they do get in, I've been Tennessee is a far better team than Pittsburgh is overall.
Offensively, they're obviously a much better team than Pittsburgh.
Derek Henry's been great.
Ryan San has been playing really good defensively.
Their secondary's been playing really well as well, so I think that the Titans are a better team in Pittsburgh.
I think they just waited a little too long to put in Ryan Santo and I could cost them in the end.
It's got so much is your schedule to finish off.
If the Ravens win today, they wrap up the number one seed, so expect Robert from the third to start next week get Pittsburgh, which make their double out easier as they just need a win.
If it wins both their games, they're in.
But if they only win one, um, how they could lose the last year as long as Tennessee was their last two and they would be in.
So, um, Tennessee goes up against the Saints today.
It is a home game for them, but I wouldn't be so I don't think they're gonna beat the Saints, and then they wrap up in Houston next week.
Now, I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Houston because Houston's one but weirdest teams in the NFL for me, Um, and that brings me to Houston.
I think that they're going to be a one and done as well, No matter who they play right now, they will play Buffalo.
Um, I think the Buffalo overalls a better team than Houston.
Defensively, they're better than Houston.
Offensively, dish on.
Watson's better than Josh Alan, but that offense is far too consistent.
He doesn't get protected enough.
Kind of makes him dumb mistakes as well.
Um, so I think that right now I would take Buffalo over Houston.
Houston, Just way too inconsistent, and I don't even I don't know if they're truly a really good team.
I know that Shawn Watson is good, but he doesn't get protected.
I know that that defense is very inconsistent with J.
Obviously, they played great yesterday against Tampa Bay, but they didn't take advantage of the turnovers that they got on offense.
So, um, right now it's like Buffalo over over Houston.
Um, but Tennessee.
I think I went a little bit too long to go with Brian Sandoval.
I think they're a better team than Pittsburgh, but I think that the Steelers ultimately get in and then Dallas in Philadelphia.
Whoever gets in there, they're not winning a playoff game.
Philadelphia has two healthy wide receivers right now.
Dallas has one of the best washers and football, but their coaching is terrible.
Jason Garrett will be gone.
Um, now the season ended today, Uh, it would be Dallas facing menace. Our Seattle.
They'd be hosting the Seahawks.
I think that Seattle would roll over the Cowboys.
I think that they would roll over the Eagles as well.
So, um, I don't think, um, they either of them get a playoff win um, now, if I could guess, I don't think that the play officially changed too much in any conference.
Um, just to recap, um, different categories.
I think that the true contenders who have a shot of making and Super Bowl, I think thes of the four teams that, um, have the best shot of making it in that be the Chiefs, the Saints, 40 Niners and Ravens.
There's my true contenders, um, and then teams that could get in, but they're missing some big, um, not a word.
This, but they're missing something that would give them an edge over other teams.
And I think that that's the Packers too inconsistent on defense.
Not a lot of help on offense.
The Vikings Kirk Cousins never been in a playoff game.
The Seahawks a bad defense.
The Patriots, Not enough weapons on offense or defense has taken a step back.
And then playoff teams that were kind of just their Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Dallas or Philadelphia.
Whoever gets in in Houston, Um, I think it'll be one and done.
So, um, now, in terms of the playoff pictures, I don't think that it changes too much.
I think that San Francisco holds on the number one seed.
I think they beat Seattle next week.
Um, now I think that Minnesota beats Green Bay tomorrow night and I could change things up a lot because of Minnesota wins their last two.
And I think of Green Bay lose their last two.
Minnesota takes over the NFC North, and that was saying Green Bay down to the six spot.
So Green Bay could go from the two to the six in a matter of two weeks.
Now, if that happens, Green Bay would be heading to New Orleans.
Um, for the wild card weekend, that'd be a really fun game to watch between Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers gonna duking it out the dome.
And I think that the Saints would win that Same for my Super Bowl pick from the NFC and the Chiefs.
I have You had him making it from the A F C.
And I don't see that picture changing up really at all.
I think that this sixth out of there right now, that's pretty much how it stays.
I think Baltimore is gonna win today and wrap up the FC New England.
They're gonna win next week against Miami and hold on to the number two spot.
So those were the two teams of the Vise.
Kansas City in Houston will stay put and on Buffalo, Pittsburgh will also state puts.
So if I'm guessing right now, so the way it would go, it would be Houston hosting Buffalo and then Kansas City hosting Pittsburgh.
Um, I'll take Buffalo to beat Houston, and then I'll take Kansas City to be Pittsburgh.
So that would send Buffalo to Baltimore for their second match up of the year.
I'll take Baltimore and I'll take Kansas City to beat New England.
And then I'll take the Chiefs to beat Baltimore, which would be in Baltimore.
Um, so I'll take the Chiefs and the Saints.
Um, I went through a of semis will go the amnesty to see how the Saints would get there so they would host.
Um, um I mean, I think the Hose Green Banks.
I think Minnesota's gonna overtake the Packers.
So it'll be Minnesota Green Bay.
And that will be Dallas.
Or that was for Philadelphia.
I'm gonna take Philadelphia just cause I believe in their coaching.
More so to be Eagle Seahawks.
Well, car weekend So it's like Seattle and I would say New Orleans and then that would leave.
What, actually wait. Hold on.
What actually could happen is the fact that New Orleans could get bumped up to the number two spot if Green Bay Foster Minnesota because they would have a better record than the Vikings would.
So it actually be Minnesota Green Bay for the third time this year, and that will be in Minnesota now when it comes down to that.
Do I trust Kurt Cousins to be Aaron Rodgers in January? And I don't know if I do this, so that changes a lot of things.
I think I would actually take the Packers to beat the Vikings and wild card weekend as the six seed over the three San Francisco New Orleans get the two buys.
So that would leave still, Philadelphia in Seattle.
I still think Seattle wins.
That's maybe a five seed.
They would play San Francisco for the third time in San Francisco.
I think I like the 40 Niners to win that game and then the number two seed um, who was New Orleans would play Green Bay in the dome and then new Orleans will win, so we'd have a, um, New Orleans San Francisco NFC championship game.
We'd have a Kansas City Baltimore A F C championship game, which I would go with Kansas City of New Orleans to win.
And then I think that the Saints I might.
I'm kind of up in here about that because I love the Chiefsoffense.
But I think the Drew Brees is just in for one.
Just one more because of Drew Brees wins this year.
I think he retires, I think rides into the sunset.
And that's changes up a whole different thing for Teddy Bridgewater, which we'll get into when the off season comes.
But a lot of stuff could happen, but I like the Chiefs and Saints in the Super Bowl right now.
Um, we'll wait and see how each team plays in the playoffs to see hell I like better.
Um, yeah, yes, and right now I'm gonna take choosing the stance.
