What is up, everybody.
How are we doing? Gonna get go live on Facebook here.
All right, well, let's in.
People trickle in, lets people trickle in here online and on.
SportsCastr I'm gonna be talking about Dalvin Cook and Dak Prescott injuries today How it affects real life football how it might affect Spanish football.
How would effect unstoppable? Um, I'm a Christmas celebrator.
I know not everybody celebrates Christmas.
I'm a Christmas celebrator.
So I'm repping today.
I'm gonna stand today because I've been sitting so long studying for boards at my back hurts, which is pathetic, but true.
Um, yeah, my I've been studying for boards.
Me and this book become best friends lately, and incredibly, I probably only gotten through, like, 5% of it.
So that's what is going on in my life.
A few more people coming in here.
So that article I put out on Dalvin cook it is getting quite a bit attraction.
Sort of expectedly, and people have a lot of questions from it.
I'll try to clear up some of the things that might not be as clear in the article.
What's up? Okay, que? Oui.
Sorry. The text.
Um, okay, when we started, so we'll start a Dalvin cook.
Here, take a drink. Water.
I put out on Twitter that he had a, um he had a shoulder dislocation.
It looked like anyway.
And once I went back and watched the video again, sort of confirmed he was laying on his sort of his stomach when he was in pain.
And you could tell just the divot in his shoulder was more than just like his dealt felt toward muscle.
It was a pretty big div.
It that looked like the arm like it's like his arm's dislocated.
I mean, and he was moving it sort of up and down, flailing it like a wing a little bit for lack of better lack of a better description.
And what he what we found out about Calvin Cooke was that he essentially he essentially dislocated shoulder and he's gonna be out for probably this week.
A lot of what Mike Zimmer saying about could play.
He's feeling good today.
He that's all, sort of, uh, it's all sort of ferial.
He could play this week.
But I put out in the article, for example, that he could play.
But based on the research, if he does come back and play, he's got a 47% chance of breach dislocating his shoulder.
So obviously, that's not ideal.
And And what makes matters worse, what complicates things are a couple of things, right? So the 1st 1 being that Alexander Madison's also hurt and his injuries little more ambiguous, to say the least.
Um, the second thing that complicates matters is that because they're down two running backs, the and they're they're in the playoff.
That the Vikings in the playoff hunt.
Which makes matters, you know, even worse to certain degree, because the playoffs and placed me on the line makes teams do things.
Makes team's ah, little crazy.
They might bring back a player when you know it's not necessarily the best.
I think the best example is T Y Hilton.
When he came back in Week 12 to play the to play the Texans, I was obviously proved to be the wrong decision.
But the moral stories that playoffs makes the playoffs make teams crazy, and I think my opinion from an injury perspective from a medical perspective.
Physical therapy perspective.
My opinion isn't bringing back Dalvin Cook this week.
Think that they should roll the dice with Mike Boone? I think that they're gonna have to sling it anyway, because if Aaron Rodgers puts points on the board that I have a choice, and I think that they need to let Dalvin cook rest because even when he does come back, he's already going to be at an elevated risk to dislocate the shoulder again.
So what All that means for fantasy purposes is that even if there's no situation that I would use Dalvin Cook this week, I wouldn't use Dalvin cook if he, um if Alexander Madison was active, I wouldn't use Dalvin Cook if Alexander Madison was inactive.
And that's because the Vikings have shown us that they're not afraid to split the carries between those three guys in whatever way possible.
And we saw that when Dalvin cook there.
I mean, I was in Madison, took a few of the snaps.
I mean, a big chunk of the snaps from um from Dalvin Cook and Week 14.
It was now the second portion, sort of one It's the one beat of the one, eh? Now you have to consider Alexander Madison, right? So let's say that Cook doesn't play cause I think that would be the right decision this way.
That said, Alan Cook doesn't play now you have to look at the second layer.
What are they going to do with him? He potentially has an E version, and he either has an e version ankle sprain, which is not the often think of like when you turn your ankle when you roll your ankle when you're walking with a clumsy like, I am not that so the opposite direction because he had a lineman land on it.
So when that happens, essentially that the strongest limit ligament, the body gets strained and it takes a long time to heal because that's a lot of ah, lot of also doing top Harry, Um, it takes a lot of blood flow.
It takes a lot of sort of time to gain that mobility to gain that strength.
So, obviously, if it's a mild high ankle spring, he's definitely not coming back.
But even if it's a mile the version spring, he's still on on the fence about whether, in terms of his health, whether he'll come back.
So then the third layer is obviously Mike.
The only cir***stance in which I'm using the Vikings backfield for fantasy football purposes is this week is if Mike Boone is the only active well out of those three out of Cook Madison Boom.
The only way I'm using the backfield is it.
Boone is the only one active, and that's just unfortunately, it's just the way that it is.
It makes no sense, because Calvin Cooke is probably the reason you're here.
If you picked up Alexander Madison insulated yourself that way.
Because hopefully you got my boon by now.
If you're If you're waivers around tonight, though, if you have ah, late waiver run, then make sure that you are that you're putting in for my boon putting in for Mike Boone tonight.
Um, so that's that summarize.
I don't think Cook will be active.
Um, I think that I was gonna Madison has a slightly higher chance of being active compared to cook.
Ultimately, I think that it's gonna be the mic Boone show, but there is a chance of the Vikings risk it for the biscuit and play Dalvin Cook, which I would not recommend if I were their staff.
But obviously that is not me.
I'm not a part of staff.
So moving on Dak Prescott talk a little bit about back in the Cowboys.
I was just texting my buddy, my co host for one for the pocket only podcast I do with the fancy free agents Ben, and he's a big giant Eagles fan.
It's hilarious, because What's up, Mobile Maga? Not sure how to say that.
Shout out to you on SportsCastr.
Um so deck Prescott.
I tweeted out what happened to him.
It looks like he took a sweep around the edge around the right side with, like, eight minutes left in the first quarter last week and got taken down, landed boom, right on top of the tip of the shoulder.
So he got taken down.
Defender was on this side of them, landed here.
Generally speaking, that is an A C injury.
When you think about a C injuries, you think about James Connor.
Who else is having a C injury today? I think at one point TJ Hawkinson have an a C injured Rizieq Romeo curricular, where you're clavicle meets your shoulder and you get a little bit of ah, separation here of the ligaments.
Not ideal, obviously, the problems that even if it's a great one, which we're all assuming since he didn't practice today, since Dak Prescott didn't practice today that it's a great one, then that means that overhead, anything overhead mobility is rough for him.
Um, it's difficult, it's painful.
And we saw that because Cooper rustic first team reps today.
In case you were wondering in case you didn't know Cooper Russia first team reps over Doc today, Doctor in practice.
That's because overhead, like I said, motions Anything above 90 degrees here throwing the football obviously, um, pump fakes.
Anything that is not just a handoff or a pitch is gonna be painful for Doc right now.
This is a beautiful I mean, the bottom rises to three week injury.
Um, which sucks because doesn't make sense that this was I mean, the universe just works that way.
What are the chances that the cowboys need this one against the Eagles and Dak Prescott hurt his shoulder.
So, for example, the way I'm thinking about Dak Prescott right now, so I'm not using them for D. F s lineups.
Maybe maybe you'll use them in like a tournament.
Play here, there if he's active, Um, given the cir***stances, given that they need to be the Eagles, given that, you know, this is sort of their playoff lot life on the line, I I would assume that Dak Prescott is probably going to give it a go, but he's extremely volatile.
He's extremely volatile this game.
I'm not using him.
India Best cash games.
If you're in the your fantasy championships, don't do it.
It's not a good idea.
They could shoot him up with drugs.
But that doesn't mean drugs like his shoulder like numbers, drug numbing drugs.
Um, it's not gonna take away from the fact that he's one play a way of getting landed on again and obviously needing to come out of the game.
And then you have Cooper Rush committee.
Um, that's not obvious.
That's not That's not ideal, but I'm not using.
I mean, I have back press.
I'm not in my fancy championship in the league, but I have back.
But I picked up.
I think Fitzpatrick Ryan fits magic, and I think I admit, Strabinsky, just in case, Uh, I'm not necessarily saying that that Jack will be inactive, although that's a possibility.
But I do think that he's gonna be extremely volatile this week, and I would not be surprised if he if he takes a right hit if he gets ruled out.
So obviously, I hope that doesn't happen.
That's not ideal.
I don't want that to happen.
But it's a possibility this week and considering that he's had finger injuries, considering that he's had a wrist injury in the last two weeks.
I mean, this dude is banged up, but he's seriously banged up.
And if they have to move the ball against the Eagles, which they might have to do because the Cowboys defense has just not been not been doing their job lately, Missing tackles? I mean, maybe not.
Last weekend's arranged, but other than that, it's gonna be a problem.
It's gonna be a problem getting Baltimore Cooper so that also obviously in turn, um, lowers the ceiling for Mark Cooper, lowers of stealing for Michael Gallop.
And to be honest, it helps Zeke Elliott, because even if Jack is playing the shorter the past, you know, the easier it's gonna be on his shoulder, the less painful it's gonna be.
So that's the deal with that.
Prescott, super volatile, still has a chance to play because Wednesday's early, um, people don't necessarily.
Wednesday's don't necessarily like to do or die time for practicing.
But you know, if he doesn't get in at least one practice in a limited capacity before Thursday before Friday, even Friday ish, then he's not gonna play.
And that's just the bottom line.
I mean, he could play, but the likelihood is is reduced the same thing with Alexander maps and the same thing with Taliban Cook.
If these guys don't especially Alexander Maps.
And if Alexander Madison doesn't get a least a limited practice by Thursday Friday, they play on Monday.
If he doesn't get one in by Thursday or Friday that I'm not again.
I'm staying away anyway.
But if you're thinking of it or if you're in a bind, I'm not confident in that at all.
Especially if he doesn't.
If he doesn't, uh, get a full practicing.
Obviously this is the worst time you could possibly have these injuries fantasy championships.
You probably playing for a lot of money.
Some of you, um, it's just the way the cookie crumbles.
So what I would recommend for Cooked Alan Cook owners to summarize, I only use my **** if Dalvin Cook and Alexander Madison are not active.
Otherwise, don't use any of the dudes.
If Alexander Madison is active, don't use Alexander Madison.
Don't use Dalvin Cook.
These snaps are probably gonna get split up among all of them if they're all active.
So again, only use of Vikings running back.
If it's Mike Boone with the other two ruled out with Deck Prescott, it's a little easier to replace a quarterback.
But if you are in an absolute pinch, an absolute bind, I think that he'll be active this week.
It's not a slam dunks, not a guarantee, but watches practice reports.
Check back with me.
Let me know if you have questions.
Take me up on Facebook.
Hit me up on Twitter FF student. Look on Twitter.
That's where I'm the most active.
We're gonna have to monitor Dax.
Dax is a little more fluid at this point.
I think that I sort of have a better idea of what's gonna happen to the Vikings backfield.
I don't think either of those backs will be active, but Max is a little more fluid.
Like I said, I don't know if you have questions.
Let me know if you if if what I just said didn't make any sense.
But that's it for now.
So let me know again, if you have any issues peace out at if of student, Doc, make sure to follow me there.
