Just bear with me.
We'll get started on a little bit of pre game.
All right, guys, Thanks for joining me here tonight.
We got the Bills and the Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
A. J writes about sports.
Thanks for joining the Stream Man s Oh, it's a big game.
Playoff implications abound.
The Bills win this game.
They're in the playoffs, a major accomplishment by them if they're able to pull it off.
Of course, as you can see by the scenery behind me, that's not what I'm pulling forward or not.
I'm pulling for Duck and the Steelers.
Ah, big game for the for duck is, well, who has reeled off three straight starts in which he wins and all of those starts that we talk about the 1st 2 starts.
They were both wins against the number one overall pick the past few years.
He beat Baker Mayfield.
He also beat uh, Kyla Murray last week, But he also beat Philip Rivers, whose first around pick a cz well when his first start way back in the early parts of the season, when he took over for uninjured Mason Rudolph so and not to mention he still be a good UH, a well thought, I should say, Cincinnati Bengals team when he took over from Mason Rudolph.
When you look at what Mason Rudolph did, I mean, he went five and three in his first.
In his eight starts, however, he wasn't able to control the ball.
He wasn't able to get the offense to move through 12 touchdowns.
The nine interceptions and Duck was able to masterly control this offense and keep the ball in possession.
He's only turned the ball over twice with two interceptions.
He's thrown four touchdowns.
Most of those big plays he's willing.
You know, we talked about the strength throughout the season, if your Steelers fan, or even if you are just knowledgeable of what Mason Rudolph is capable of.
We talked about a guy whose strength was throwing down the field, and he wasn't able to get it done as a stealer starter.
So now we look at a guy in Josh Allen who is really coming into his own.
I mean, the last three weeks he's really had to eat it.
He hasn't thrown for over 200 yards, the past three weeks heat.
He had 10 sacks given up in those three contests as well in a three game skid.
Eso As far as that goes, you got the Bills coming in there.
Ah, two and one against the A, F C, North and the Steelers.
Are there gonna be their last opponent in this division? The Steelers are one and one in those contests, so it's gonna be interesting to see how the Steelers approach this.
You, you've got a team who is getting James Connor back in this game? However, when you look at the stats, the overall team stats and I know they're not always, you know, gossip to go by.
But the Steelers are just the number 16 team rushing the football all season in the NFL, and you look at the Bills, their top 10 defense against the run.
So Duck Hodges, for all the good that he does for the Steelers and, you know, as Steelers faithful, you know, I believe in Duck and I think he can get the job done.
But we're talking about a guy who, despite having completed 75% of his passes in his career and and he does have those big plays, but he hasn't really gotten it all together just yet.
I mean, keep in mind, this is a undrafted rookie who played at the F.
C s level at Sanford.
He threw for, ah, boatload of yards and a boatload of touchdowns down there with the Bulldogs.
But even still, you have to temper your expectations.
This isn't a guy that's gonna throw for 300 yards, let alone against this excellent Bills defense.
So it'll be fun to see how this game shapes up if Josh Allen is able to get it to go.
As I mentioned, he hasn't thrown for over 200 yards past three contest, either.
So it's a big game for both teams.
The Steelers wanna hang on to their playoff hopes.
If they win this game, they can move up into the fifth seed rather than just the six.
As I mentioned at the very top, we got the Bills.
If they win this game than they are in the playoffs, Underst or McDermott and Josh Alan so the the methods that they've taken to rebuild this bill's team look like they're gonna be paying off for him? Uh, real soon.
So again, I want to thank you for joining me on the stream.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
This is re sports through SportsCastr this month.
First time calling the Steelers here on SportsCastr.
Ah, Thankful if you followed me from the Army Navy game yesterday.
We had a lot of fun coat calling that game.
It's one of most fun games of the year s.
Oh, yeah, you can follow me on Twitter, my personal account at Jacob Harrison to Jay's Two ends on Twitter.
You can follow re sports, which is a brand new baby of mine.
Ah, at re sports news on Twitter, the same handle on Facebook as well, Re sports is a brand new thing that I have just created for myself, mainly just to get myself out there and ah, kind of build a brand that will really cover the the tops of the top news of the NFL college football, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers in the University of Alabama.
Considering that is ah, where I currently go to school, I'm a senior.
One more semester. Go, man.
I'm looking forward to it.
Ah, but also cover the NFL draft again.
Top news of the NFL and college football.
So I appreciate everybody's support in that.
And for sticking around for the stream.
We got kick off coming up in just a little bit again.
The Steelers home game.
They're gonna be wearing the All Blacks, the color rush uniforms, those beautiful, beautiful uniforms.
Not not so much that they got to become.
You know, the, uh, the primary uniforms.
I do kind of hope those blocked numbers come back, but And as you can see, if you're watching the broadcast along with me, you got the three remain, Uh, excuse me, The three Edmund's brother is gonna be a point in this game the first time in a very long time since three brothers have played in ah single contest, both trains.
Farrell played for the Steelers in Tremaine and its outstanding linebacker for the Bills.
So as we await, kick off once again if you stick with me throughout this stream.
Uh, hey, Yeah, baby, Thanks for joining the stream.
And, uh, if you stick with me throughout this dream of feel free to use the chat live feature, especially during the breaks, I will be happy to answer any questions you have, Ah, football related.
Ah, and we have a lot of fun tonight.
As we await kickoff, Chris balls will kick the ball off to the Bills to get this thing started.
So is the sewers.
Get ready to kick this thing off one of the best that holding teams back in their own territory.
Office special teams.
Roberts gets it up onto the far sideline before he's brought down by a little like Malkovich on the sideline, but they will start off with a flag.
And if this is on the Steelers, the Steelers are one of the most heavily penalized teams in the NFL to penalties the night and they will incur their 1/100 penalty of the NFL season.
So not a great way to go.
Tony Currency, Uh, is our referee for the for the night and through the reverb in the stadium.
The pound He was on the Bills return team for a hold, so the bills will be stuffed back into the air, uh, into their territory.
They'll start things first in 10.
In the shotgun at their own 10 yard line to blue collar teams is Ah, Alan takes the shotgun to start things off, and he almost throws an interception.
But instead he gets it to Dawson Nicks for a first down throw, a gain of 11.
Dawson knocks the rookie tight end really come on and get a good player for the Bills throughout the season, and he nearly a the Steelers lead the league in turnovers.
Joe Hayden was very close to that.
Vince Williams was playing some good coverage, but that's just the arm strength of Josh Allen to squeeze that one into that tight window now under center.
It's got Frank Gore behind them.
Fakes the ball to him, and he gets it over John Brown over the middle, who may have coughed it up towards the end, but they'll mark him down after a gain of about seven to bring up second down.
If you're watching along on the broadcast, they're bringing up Josh Allen stats right now. Josh Allen.
He doesn't have a ton of touchdown passes it, but a counterbalance is that with his rushing attack, he's one of the quieter Russian quarterbacks that Singletary gets to carry here for the first down.
Excuse me, that was Frank Gore on the carry, the wily old better.
And Frank Gore, the Hall of Famer, might I add, as they introduced the Steelers defense again, tops in the NFL in sacks, one of the best teams exposed to run and the past tops.
And turnover is just incredible season, not as a Steelers fan.
It's not exactly what we expected.
We expected to Seymour out of Bud and T.
Watt, who had monstrous seasons.
And what swats that a one away imitating his older brother.
What a defensive player of the year candidate starting this game off strong TJ.
What is one of the best edge rushers all by a society? Eats that cut block and sticks that Paul up there and knocks it away.
What could have been a A good gained a Singletary on the bubble screen? Steelers defense won't have it.
Second and 10 now from the 32 Singletary back in the stock shotgun with Alan, they set up another screen, but Alan has to throw this one under the dirt because T.
Watt was all in his face again.
You pretty back there as well.
You talk about the Steelers defense just a bit, Maur Not since James Harrison and Lamarr Woodley have the Steelers had this type of EJ rushed Handem.
And those two really led the Steelers defense into the Super Bowl 43 championship over the Arizona Cardinals about a decade ago and what may have jumped into the neutral zone, The Bills reacted to it, and we're pointing.
They're discussing it could be a false start.
Instead, it will be a neutral zone infraction against T.
What you know, to be one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
You're gonna get a few of those called on you trying to get that extra half step to get into the backfield.
Alan is all alone in the backfield, A wild formation only TJ, what with his hand in the dirt.
He loves this one. A single, Terry.
But Mark Barron is there to wrap him up.
He doesn't bring him to the ground, but the Ford progression will be stopped.
It won't be enough.
And that will bring up fourth down.
The Steelers type defense stiffens up and stifles the Buffalo Bills first drive of the night to force a point.
And Mark Barron, I mean, I've been very critical of the guy all season long.
He hasn't played particularly well.
I know a lot of guys praise him, but he's really had a good few weeks now as Deante, Johnson will now be deep to receive the pot.
Johnson coming off of a huge career game, really, against the Cardinals.
One was a punt return, but he'll fair catch this one at about the 15.
So we'll get our first action with Duck Hodges and the returning James Connor and just a bit Dodger blue.
Steph, Thanks for joining the broadcast, man.
I really appreciate it again.
I just want to reiterate if you're with the stream with me tonight to Ah, I'm sorry that if you're with the stream tonight that you use the chat live feature and during the breaks we can chat about football or about the Steelers, the playoff picture, whatever it may be, it helped these Ah commercials go buy a little bit smoother.
Have you? I life.
So as we wait for the commercial break, Thio wrap up.
Let's talk about the Steelers offenses.
They have won their seven of their last eight this by averaging just 184 net passing yards.
That's the lowest average in any eight game span since 2010.
Ben Roethlisberger missed half of those games and 2010 do to us his suspension.
Ah, and you know, of course, this season has been sidelined with the injury.
So I talked a little bit about in the pregame.
Hodges. You know, he's played well.
Mason Rudolph didn't particularly pay bad.
He just couldn't get the offense going.
Hey, played in Spartz, which wasn't beneficial to what the offense is trying to get done.
Well, you know, over the past few years, when we had Antonio Brown, we had Levy on Belle.
The passing game was really the focal point of this offense, and now it's got to turn to the run game and the Steelers.
You know they're just 16 to 16th or 17th or middle of the pack in rushing, but Benny Snell had a big game.
James Connor is back, and Connor will get the first carry, and he'll take this one for a first down at the far sideline over the 30 yard line before he's brought down by prior welcome back. James Connor.
Connor played very well in the last game that he appeared in, but that shoulder just got reaggravated.
And it's too close to the playoffs and having the ability to get in a nice block there from James Washington, who's had an incredible season so far.
And Connor himself is, really.
He had a rocky start to the season, but he really came into his own as the season progressed.
He's just had to battle that shoulder injury over the past few weeks.
Hodges, still in the shotgun, gives this one corner again.
In that time, he'll get swallowed up by Phillips at the line of scrimmage, maybe a gain of two.
And as they finish up the player introductions there stealer sporting one of the best offense of lines and football veteran offensive line.
Half these guys actually had a day off in practice, as that one is too far ahead of Deante Johnson, the first pass of the night for Duck Hodges.
But that offense aligned for the Steelers, you can't really.
In all accounts, the Dallas Cowboys probably have the ah, the best offensive linemen pound for pound across the board, but the Steelers were right up there.
You can't ask for a better line, especially in the running game.
Blue Step for the whistle.
I really appreciate it.
Samuels, now in the backfield to the right of Duck Hodges third and eight bunch formation to the far side.
Nick Vonette is the end on the near side.
Hodges is gonna slide to the left before he throws that one over to Deante Johnson, who goes up in traffic and brings it down inbounds for the first down.
Deante Johnson, 1/3 round draft pick, wide receiver out of Toledo.
He had to fight over Tevin Jones, Levi Wallace and Johnson there on the sideline, but he still managed to get control of the ball and two feet down.
No question about it.
The bill sidelined wantedto to go against that one, but to no avail.
Five wide empty backfield.
They're gonna have to call timeout.
Duck gets it away, though.
Can't get it to Tevin Jones Over the middle, he was covered by Tremaine Edmonds and an excellent Bills defense that they're introducing right now on the main broadcast, one of the best in all of football.
Pull up their defense of stature, the third ranked defense in terms of yardage given up in the NFL.
Five seconds on the play clock, James Connor will take the snap off this Wildcat formation, and he'll fight forward for seven yards.
But there's a flag on the play.
Hodges never got set as he motioned out to the wide receiver position.
Hodges not sure exactly what he did wrong there, but no doubt about it.
And moving in motion in the ball gets snapped well before he ever stops.
And that's an illegal motion that will bring it to second and 15.
Hodges now will go under center with trips to his right.
James Conner, still the back in the backfield, fakes to Connor.
Gets into him anyway, out in space in the flat, credible spin move.
But he doesn't get any yardage out of it.
Picks up half a yard.
If anything at Oliver was over there, as well as Tremaine Edmonds.
So third and 14 it will be interesting to see now what they want to do with Hodges.
They got Deante Johnson, James Washington, No juju, Smith Schuster in this ball game is he still battles an injury, comes out in the shotgun.
Jalen Samuels to his right bills only bring four.
He slings it deep.
He's looking for Washington under throws them and it's intercepted.
True, Davis White, one of the better corners in the league, doesn't get mentioned enough.
The young man out of L s U that one just it hung in the air too long, floated to the outside.
James Washington lost track of it, and that was an easy interception for the corner.
All right, guys, we take another break here in the first quarter.
The score is still tied. to.
Thank you all for joining the stream here.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
This is re sports on SportsCastr.
Feel free to use the chat live feature to talk football or or anything else of that matter.
And as the commercial is set to come back relatively soon, let's look at another one of these insights.
The Bills have lost the last 60 meetings with Pittsburgh, tied to their longest active losing streak against any opponent other than the Patriots.
Buffalo has not beaten the Steelers since 1999 It has lost eight straight regular season games in Pittsburgh since winning there in 1975 but the Bills did win a 1992 playoff game there.
So in all reality, I'm 25 years old.
I've never lived to see a Steelers loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills.
That's a meet little nugget. There's.
We await the broadcaster return where it will be.
The Bills ball at about the 25 yard line after the interception by trade, a devious white Mike Tomlin winning name.
Duck. Hodges the starter.
He said that Duck just wouldn't kill us.
Well, if you're all things being equal.
Mason Rudolph, through 12 touchdowns to nine interceptions, was five and three as a starter.
Probably could have been six and two had he not gotten knocked out against the Ravens.
But should it go toward it? Now Duck is four touchdowns, the three interceptions.
So take that what you will.
Don't get me wrong, which can't loft it up like that.
Singletary will get Carrie and he'll take it about four yards on the inside zone Play.
It's a second in six upcoming.
This is the Bill, second dr of the game.
The 1st 1 looked promising to begin with, but it's stymieing out after TJ what made his presence felt strong.
I formation Alan back to pass.
Gets it up to Brown, close enough for a first down that might give it to him.
Looks like they do so.
Pass out the John Brown on the comeback road.
You see this arm strength of Josh Alan on that throw? He earned that 99 throat Lorraine in Madden's wanting first and 10 now in the shotgun.
Feels the pressure.
Cam Heyward gets him, but he still picks up a yard to bring up third down.
So second and eight now tight formation.
Bunch to the near side.
Allen under center.
He gives it this one to Singletary again.
Devin Bush is there to stop him for a three yard gain to bring up 3/3 and five Devin Bush.
An electrifying defense, a player.
The rookie out of Michigan.
You put his name in the hat for defense of rookie of the year.
Not sure he'll win it over Nick Bosa, who's have one of the greatest rookie seasons on the defensive side of the ball we've ever seen in the NFL.
Third and four now, just over halfway through the first quarter of 6 24 left to go, Alan back to pass, feeling the pressure from TJ What gets rid of it dropped.
Cole Beasley on the Steelers midfield logo.
That brings up fourth down so they can't take advantage of the interception.
But your devious White and Steelers will get the ball back.
If anything, this is gonna hurt the interception, they survived it.
But it's still gonna hurt filled position that the bills can get off a good point there.
Here, TJ, what fighting and almost got there kind of rushed.
The past just avoids the contact.
Their Deante Johnson fair catches this one at the 16.
So the seers will get a chance to redeem themselves off the interception after the defense holds.
So during the commercial break.
Just want to remind you guys Ah, big.
Thank you for joining me on the stream.
My name is Jacob Harrison on ah re sports on SportsCastr.
Feel free to use the live chat feature to talk volunteer on the brakes.
Ah, whether this game or anything else related, whatever's on your mind, you can follow me on Twitter at Jacob Harrison to Jay's two ends.
Follow re sports on Twitter At re Sports news.
You'll also find re sports on Facebook.
Just the same for all the latest top news in the NFL college football, particularly that surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Alabama Crimson Tide, plus a little NFL draft coverage.
So it looks like, uh, as far as the flow of this game goes, and I know it's still early, but the Steelers getting a bit of an advantage in the rush category.
James Connor to Carrie's for 17 yards.
Duck, of course, through the interception.
He's just too, for five and 11 yards.
The incredible catch by Deante Johnson.
Accounting for all of that yardage, as it stands for ESPN, is win probability Calculator.
Steelers Air Still a 55.
4% chance to win this ball game years, so Pittsburgh will take over first and 10 from the 17.
Call it the 18 yard line.
Duck under center sends both of his tight ends to the far side.
It's got Benny Snell behind him in the back field.
Give is to Snell, and there's nothing there for him.
You get squashed effort, er, gain of just one and see.
And that's an interesting stat right there.
It's something that a lot of Steelers fans kind of overlooked is that out of his 80 pass attempts on Lee, 19 have actually went over 10 yards downfield.
So while he's efficient and he has made big plays when they've come to him, can he create big plays with his arm? And And that remains to be seen again.
Just his fourth start.
Justus six times seeing game action and he's undefeated For what it's worth, that one gets stuffed as Johnny Houlton caught the screen pass.
But today, devious White was there to make it a two yard loss on the play.
So now Davis White is on the ground well, like he was up celebrating after he made the play.
But now he's on the ground.
I didn't see what happened in the broadcast will take a break, so I will is well.
So as we await the commercial break and come back as they check on trade a V ous white after he made the tackle for loss again.
Delvin Hodges completed 75% of his passes throughout the 1st 3 starts of his NFL career.
Uh, notwithstanding this game in which he has not done done that, he's the only quarterback in the Super Bowl era with a high with a higher completion percentage in his Excuse me.
The only quarterback in the Super Bowl era with a higher completion percentage in his 1st 3 NFL starts was Chad Pennington with 77.
So what that says.
You know, Chad Pennington was a guy who was known for not having the strongest of arms, and I know that that's AH thing that's going to go in against Devlin Hodges as he starts to rack up the snaps.
He doesn't have the strongest arm he's made plays downfield, but there's a reason all of his passes air happening within the line to gain marker.
So as the broadcast returns, let's keep that in mind as we move forward, especially with her debut as whites injury.
He's already had an interception and a tackle for loss in this game.
Well, he wasn't celebrating.
He was telling somebody he got hurt and they just told him to go down to take the time out and get a kid ready to come in and take his spot.
So now it's third and 10.
Looks like Connor in the backfield with Hodges.
It's Jalen Samuels who gets hit as he froze, and it gets it out to his tight end.
Looks like Nick than that it was, but it went for no gain.
Now it's fourth down.
So the Bills that was Shaq Lawson on the pressure.
The Bills have really brought the house in order to get to duck. Hodges.
You know, they bring six right there, and you know there's not so much you can do about that, especially when you're an undrafted rookie.
You to make those quick decisions.
It's not easy, and Duck again stands right at, if not under six feet tall, making that challenge even worse.
So very stands in his four yard line set to put this one away, and this is a sky high point.
Not sure he got much on it at all. He doesn't.
It bounces inside the 40 and back.
Jordan Barry could have fielded himself terrible and mind bottling bo it straight up.
Yeah, just a shocking play.
There's not much ****ysts todo into a point, but when one shoots up and only goes 22 yards downfield and you're not at your 40 yard line, that's incredibly disappointing.
But this one will be a sack.
Four Steelers in the area, Vince Williams, a Lulu and, I believe, T.
What? We're all in the backfield to bring Josh Alan down for a huge loss.
The first sack of the game for the Black and Gold Instruments.
Alumina Lou and T J.
What were the first ones there? Vince Williams Help clean it up.
They're the best defense in the NFL at getting to the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage.
That second and 18 now play action.
Fake Alan rips it across the field, and it's almost intercepted by Stephen Nelson.
It was too far out in front of John Brown there.
So now third in 18 thanks had at Brown.
Not got a hand on that.
It would have went right into the gut of Stephen Nelson really dodged the bullet there that Josh Allen go to thrown his ninth interception of the season right then empty backfield still tightly bunched.
Allen drops back, hitches up, and he's got room to run, but he'll be brought down to hell.
Edmund's Forces of Fumble.
Stephen Nelson's got it out of bounds.
Are they gonna call him down? He's rolled down.
They may take a second look at that, and he definitely was down.
Terrell Edmund's on the stop.
Steven Nelson was right there to make the play had it been available to him so forth.
Josh, Alan and the offense is still out there.
Devon Singletary to his left, and he motions out to the near side to his left empty backfield.
What, on the pressure.
He was the only one with a hand in the dirt.
And that one's too John Brown for the first down.
A gain of eight, and he's driven out of bounds.
But Stephen Nelson as we dip inside two minutes to go in the first quarter.
The Bills make a gutsy decision, and it pays off for him.
Incredible route there by John Brown to get the out against Steven Nelson.
John Brown's already racked up three catches for 24 yards tonight.
This one is given to Singletary, A looks like, and he'll be brought down by Bud Dupri after a gain of one Vince Williams help clean it up as he went to the ground.
As you watch the broadcast, you can get a glimpse at how incredible the Steelers defense has been this year.
16 points allowed fifth and yards allowed, first in takeaways and sacks very reminiscent of the Steel Curtain.
Their stats line up with them, but Dupri is on the pressure.
Alan has to get rid of it.
He finds his slot receiver, Cole Beasley, for a gain of eight.
So now 40 Sot, 49 seconds to go in the first quarter of the third.
And a few Josh Allen has played a very good ball game so far to this point, has been smart with the football third and one as the clock ticks, and he didn't really want to give that one, but instead it turned out to be the better decision, as I believe that was Singletary, who picked up the first down and that'll close out the first quarter.
As you see Jordan Barry, who's 22 yard punt despite the Steelers.
I mean very well played defense.
They stopped him on 1/3 down but gave up the fourth and had him to third and short there.
That point really put the Steelers and in a bad situation.
So that ends the first quarter.
It to playoff implications on the line on Sunday Night Football.
So, guys, been a minute since we took our first break.
Uh, just want to say thank you for joining me on the stream here on SportsCastr.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
Feel free to use the live chat feature during the breaks or any time during the broadcast.
The top ball help the commercial breaks.
Go buy a little bit smoother.
Let's look at some game stats while we wait for, ah, what should be a bit longer of a game break? Look.
Doc Hodges for for 79 yards and the interception that was caught by, uh today obvious white duck has not played particularly well.
Josh Allen has then rather above average.
He's been smart with the ball.
Six of 10 for 42 yards is a strong arm has gotten in his way just a bit, but his top receiver, John Brown.
Three catches for 24 yards has really led the way.
The Bills just converted 1/4 down to keep this drive alive than there inside the red zone.
Looking to put the first points of the game on the board again, Buffalo wins this game.
They're not gonna win.
The division would be very hard pressed.
I mean, there's still a chance, but it'd be very hard pressed to get that one off of New England.
But if they win this game, they are in the playoffs.
If the Steelers win this, they could be in position to take over at the number five seed of the A F C playoffs.
So I a big game here on Sunday night.
Football is the first opportunity the nation is getting to see Josh Allen in prime time.
The first nationally televised game he played was Thanksgiving against the Cowboys, and he absolutely balled out.
Now the Cowboys on a great team.
Another got a big win against the Rams.
But the Steelers defense is is a much better coach defense than that when he saw in Dallas, and he's seen that so far to this point.
He's already eaten a sack, and he's felt the pressure from T.
Watt and Bud Dupri in this game already, and he's nearly thrown a couple of interceptions.
They've been really close.
They thought that there was a fumble on the play, but he was down after a Tremaine Edmund's Excuse me, a Terrell Edmund's tackle.
It's going to be fun toe.
Try to keep the Edmunds in balance as Tremaine place for the Bills and Trey and Terrell play for the Steelers.
So first and 10 from the 15 yard line, this one is given to Singletary, who has a little bit of space.
He picks up the first down.
He might muscle into the end zone, but he's drugged down at the one yard line.
They had a fight around his own blockers and find what little space was there on the outside, broke a tackle and got his team down to the one yard line within the one yard line.
They'll spot it, so now is a dangerous predicament for the Steelers.
You're watching the broadcast, and if you can hear it, Cris Collinsworth just mentioned just what happened.
Josh Allen, a major threat in the red zone.
That's his ninth rushing touchdown of the season.
The Bills take the lead.
And there's the culprit right there that they just showed on the broadcast.
That was Jordan Barry.
He had a 22 yard in which straight up in the air landed inside the 40 and the Steelers defense played well.
The Steelers defense played well, got him to 1/3 and long situation.
Josh Allen scrambled, made it about 1/4 and six, and they converted on that and were able to keep the player the drive alive.
And now the extra point stands by House CA to make it a seven point game at the start of the second quarter, Bills are out in front Duck Hodges as to get it together and move the offense for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What so as they return to the broadcast, we will is well.
Josh Allen, at the beginning of the night was just 61 rushing yards shy of giving Buffalo three players this season with 500 plus rushing yards.
That's Devin Singletary and Frank Gore joining him.
He's already gained 15 yards, plus his touchdown there, just a few moments ago.
It would be just the third time in five years that the Bills have had three players run for 500 plus yards.
No other team has even done it once since the 2011 Carolina Panthers.
As White brings this one out to the 28 yard line.
Yes, he's just It's so the broadcast is reporting that today obvious.
White is reported as questionable to return after that tackle for loss on Johnny Houlton.
But as you can see on the broadcaster, Davis White is in the ball game.
He had a major interception early in the ballgame, however, the Steelers defense was able Thio stop the Bills offense from taking advantage from the 28 1st Intend Duck back to pass.
He's got a pocket.
He'd lost this one over to the near side for James Washington, who hauls it in.
And that's what James Washington has done so well all season.
Get behind the defense, be the depth deep threat that he was in Oklahoma State with Mason Rudolph and catch it over the top of the defense, finds a space in the zone, gets over Micah Hyde and holds that one in despite the pressure put on by the talented safety, A perfect pocket for Duck Hodges makes it an easy throw, an easy pathway to see where he's got to put the ball well designed.
Not sure what happened there.
Duck didn't get the snap well, but there's a flag.
Jordan Phillips, defensive tackle.
Yeah, he was Jordan Phillips was offside, and he was right over marquees Pouncey and hit Pouncey before it looked like the ball had even gotten to duck cottages under center.
What an incredible stat that is that they just put up on the broadcast, five for five when throwing to James Washington downfield.
So they come out the same formation and said in his first on Fire, likely run.
The same play is White gets the ball down to the 30 one and 1/2.
You may have picked up the first down.
White, the undrafted rookie from Florida Atlantic, his head coach while he was there.
Lane Kiffin is now the new head coach of the old Miss Rebels or land sharks, or something like that, right? It's so that was first down.
Jalen Samuels in the pistol as a wildcat quarterback and he gets Howard through.
But Murphy, it's remain ahead of Edmund's not sure what Samuel saw what he thought he could do.
He kind of just skipped to his right and tried to jump over the six foot eight Trent Murphy.
And it didn't work at all.
So second and 13 now for the Steelers offense.
It's been a struggle so far form as they face the number three defense in terms of yardage of the Buffalo Bills and James Washington, like James Washington, may have stumbled out of its stance, but instead, it's a time out by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
1st 1 they've taken tonight, so it's still second and 13 as Duck comes to the line.
Zach Banner is eligible.
He's on the right side of the formation.
Nick the net next to him, James Washington comes in motion to join him.
Hodges drops back Bill in a way that gives up a man.
Hodges has the let it float, and it's too short for James Washington Bill in a way that couldn't handle the pressure and couldn't help him out on the second man who followed after Shaq Lawson.
The colleges has had pressure in his fate all all night has not been able to overcome it whatsoever.
Although the Steelers are in plus territory, they're facing third and 13.
They've had a couple of big plays, an 11 yard reception by Deante Johnson that was a spectacular catch as the play clock falls.
James Washington had a big catch to set up the field position.
The Steelers Aaron now Hodges in the pocket throws and he doesn't find anybody looked like Deon Cain, and either James Washington or Dante Johnson were in the area of the past.
Will flood route combination, but it doesn't find anybody on the route, so we'll see if the Sealers think that they can get a field goal here with Chris Boswell, who has really had a redemptive season 26 of 28 this year.
His percentage is fourth in the NFL.
This is a 49 yard field goal, and it is good.
So the Steelers finally get on the board here in the second quarter with 11 26 as the time Marker 73 in the Bills lied in Pittsburgh.
So as we take another break with the broadcast, thanks again for sticking around on the on the stream here tonight, guys and allowing me to be your play by play for the Steelers game against the Buffalo Bills at Heinz Field.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
This is re sports on SportsCastr, so Pittsburgh has committed a turnover and 20 consecutive games.
No other team has an active streak longer than eight straight, and it is the Steelers longest streak since having a giveaway in 23 games in a row between the 90 and 91 season.
So you know, it's been a struggle.
Even when Ben Roethlisberger was the quarterback for the 1st 1 and 1/2 games.
Turnovers were abound throughout the Steelers season, and it didn't get any better with with Mason Rudolph as the quarterback, he turned the ball over nine times through the air duct.
Hodges has thrown his third interception here tonight to drain a devious white after lofting a ball really not safely into coverage.
So when you talk about that, I mean with the Steelers, with their defense leading the NFL in takeaways, it really hampers what their defense is able to do as a collective unit.
When the Steelers take the field on defense.
They know that they have every opportunity to take the ball away.
But when you're playing a team that is well coached and is studios and really is coming off of three of their worst games of the season and a season where they're having a great season in the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen has been incredibly smart with the football.
He's not gonna allow the Steelers defense to beat him because he knows that his defense is fully capable of winning him the game just as well.
The score could very well stand for the rest of the game.
That's the kind of offense and defense is we're talking about in this ballgame.
So again, this is gonna come down to the running games of both teams.
James Connor has not had to carry since the first drive of the game.
So I'm very disappointed as a fan, but also as an ****yst of this game to see Duck Hodges continue to drop back and pass.
When James Connor really came out of the gate strong, he ran the ball two times for 17 yards and as it touched the ball sets, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense from fan perspective or from an ****yst perspective, either.
And it's really hampered the team to this point.
But now the bill's lead 7 to 3 11 26 to go in the first half, buzz will set to kick this one away down to Seth Roberts.
Roberts will take it out of the end zone, brings it up past the 20 yard line where he's tripped up and he falls at the 23.
Another incredible stat presented by the broadcast Mike Tomlin wins this game brings the Steelers to nine and five.
He would tie Marty Schottenheimer for consecutive seasons without a losing record and to think their fire Tomlin haters out there in the Twitter universe, one of the greatest coaching jobs we've ever seen Mike Tomlin perform is Hall of Fame quarterback goes down.
The backup isn't the answer.
The offense really has sputtered all season, but it's been this defense, which is given up an eight yard past there to John Brown.
John Brown's had his way with Steven Nelson so far tonight.
Mike Tomlin should absolutely, even if the Steelers missed the playoffs, it absolutely still be in contention for NFL coach of the year just for what he's been able to pull off.
This defense wasn't very good over the past five years.
I mean, that's what kept the Steelers from advancing to a Super Bowl.
Was their defensive play, particularly in those Patriots games? Didn't have great cornerback play T J.
Watt, but Dupri weren't what they are now.
As this rush is taken by Singletary, it looks like you may have rolled over Vince Williams for the first down first.
So first intend.
Now for the Bills.
Frank Gore behind Josh, Alan and the single back formation.
Two tight ends to his right.
He looks for his receiver.
Looks like John Brown again catches Stephen Nelson with an en route there and a gain of about five or six.
John Brown has absolutely had his way so far.
Early in this game.
Five targets for or excuse me six targets now.
Five receptions, 39 yards. He's at a big game.
Josh Allen been very efficient with the football.
Eight of 12 for 57 yards.
Allen gives this one to Singletary, cuts up for the first down.
Hayward wraps him up and stops his progression, but not after the six yard game picks up another Buffalo Bills first down, so the Steelers haven't been able to sustain any drives.
The Bills have had rather long drives, even the unsuccessful one that ended in a punt to start the game.
They've all been relatively long drives, so you gotta wonder if, as we get closer, the halftime the Steelers defense just a bit more tired as a result, I formation now from the Bills gives this one to Singletary, and he falls forward for a gain of two before his meant by Chick alot and big Dan McCullers, who's actually played Rather.
All right, all things considered, he's had a very slow start to his career, was 1/7 round pick, six foot eight over £350 as a nose tackle.
He's really found a spot as a run stuffer on the defense so far of the season.
Won't flash you with numbers or with any sort of possess.
You won't get many *** or make many plays in the passing game, but you've seen his name.
His number called after a few tackles on a few short run plays this season, Josh Alan back to pass again.
Any overthrows Cole Beasley on the far sideline.
Third, Nate Now, and we've seen it several times.
Most of his incompletions tonight have been Josh Allen's Just not being able to pull the reins back on that cannon of an arm.
It's one of the most explosive arms we've seen in the NFL since.
Maybe JaMarcus Russell to Josh Salads. Credit.
First of all, he's much more mature player, much more mature, human being to that fact.
But he's also been a much more accurate passer.
He's been smart with the football.
He's just gotta learn to pull the rope a little bit.
But Dupri gets instant pressure, and that forces the past the throne just a bit faster than Josh Alan wanted to.
Cam Heyward got his big Paul is up and stopped that 1/4 and eight now for the Bills.
Steelers will get another shot at putting points on the board.
You see Bud Dupree on the edge, just instant pressure and loses balance is he tries to go round the block, but it's still the pressure was enough to get Alan and throw the ball much quicker than he anticipated.
Cam Heyward didn't get pressure.
It also he stopped, watched the quarterback, got his paws up and knocked it away.
The second batted ball tonight by the Steelers defense, TJ What had a big one on a bubble screen earlier? Deante Johnson gets a little bit of space before he takes that one out after a good gain 7 57 ago in Heinz Field Free family here.
So guys got to say it's been a much more ah, fun game to call.
Then it was the Army Navy game.
Nothing against the Army Navy game, but so many commercials kind of made that one difficult, but and we're working through it.
Thanks, guys, for sticking with me on the stream here tonight.
My name's Jacob Harrison with three sports on Sports Caster.

We've seen two teams that have not really been able to ah, get much going on the ground.
I mean, the Bills have done a better job of it than the Steelers not to take anything away from them, but it has been more of a pass oriented game.
Not exactly what I expected.
A Eric Talk Sports.
Thanks for joining the Stream, man.
The Steelers air playing close with the Buffalo Bills in a big playoff game we've seen.
Now it's been several passes that John Brown has been absolutely torching Stephen Nelson on the outside with quick routes.
So as the game progresses, it will be interesting to see how John Brown continues Thio work against Stephen Nelson.
If he gets in out up to really burn the Steelers, I mean, John Josh Allen has proven in this ballgame to the to the national audience, you know, this is his first game on Sunday Night Football in prime time.
He's really showed off that arm strength.
It's gotten in trouble a few times, has overthrown a few receivers.
But these quick routes have been money for John Brown so far in the game.
So if he's able to get a double move on Steven Nelson, I hate to say it a Steelers fan, but it could mean big things for the Bills offense.
I know that we're nearing halftime, but James Connor has only touched the ball three times.
One reception, zero yards to carry 17 yards.
And really and truly, that's been the story of the ball game.
They've relied too heavily on the arm of Dark Hodges, who is five of 10 throwing the ball so they instantly give the ball to James Connor.
And, of course, he has brought down for no gain Johnson employer in the backfield to stop that one.
Just just the sixth rushing attempt by the Steelers tonight.
Again, a disappointing stat.
These Air two teams that air good at running the football, the Bills much better team in that regard.
As Connor gets this outside power, Carrie and again get stuff for no gain Jordan Phillips there to stop him and bring up the third and long.
And this is where the Steelers have had tremendous trouble tonight there not sure how many times the Steelers that face the third down and don't see it right off the bat, but they haven't done well in the regards of converting them.
Duck has not had a great game to this point.
So third and 10 now duck in the shotgun.
James Connor beside him.
Instant pressure from Tremaine Edmunds.
He rolls to his left and can't get the Nick Manette.
Had he done it anyway, it wouldn't have been a first down.
And that's been the story.
They haven't gotten anything done.
On first and second down, it's forced.
Third, longest remain.
Edmund shoots the age gap as he has all night and gets instant pressure.
He's a short guy, can't see over.
The pressure has to get away.
Thank goodness he's athletic, but he has to get away.
And when that happens, he cuts the field in half and can't find a man with potential to pick up the first down.
So Jordan Perry, his last punt, went for 22 yards straight up in the air.
Let's see if he corrects the mistakes from the last one, and he does, in a great way, puts that one inside.
The 20 may have outkicked the coverage a bit as Seth Roberts bobs and weaves for a gain gets it up to the 36.
There is a flag on the play, right? So very comes back up to the 22 yard punt and makes that one a 58 yarder.
However, Seth Roberts almost picked up just as many yards as the previous punt with a 21 yard return.
Looks like there may be a block in the back or some sort of holding on the bills to negate that yardage, however.
Okay, and that will be an illegal block in the back by the veteran Lorenzo Alexander, who's coming off of a career year just a season ago.
And as the broadcast takes a break, I will as well, guys, thanks again for joining me here on re sports.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
Feel free to use the live chat feature to talk ball during the breaks.
Uh, and if you get a chance and feel led to do so, feel free to go follow me on Twitter at Jacob Harrison to Jay's two ends, so I've talked about it a little bit here.
During the game, Buffalo is rushed the ball 12 times for 56 yards touchdown.
They've had a long 14.
On the flip side, the Steelers have run the ball seven times for 21 yards and along of 15.
That was the first carry by James Corner to start the game.
When you look at the average is Buffalo is far away, doing much better.
They've averaged 4.
7 yards a carry to the Steelers three, and, as I said just before we went to break, the Buffalo Bills have been able to get at least something on most plays, right? You know, there's always a few plays here and there that they do get stuffed or there's an incomplete pass.
But most plays, they're picking something up or they're getting some sort of read off the defense with with the Steelers offense, you're not seeing that much.
They're not getting anything done on first and second down, and they're getting stuffed in the third.
Long's where the Bills were able to bring pressure and they got big, fast guys like at Oliver and Tremaine.
Edmonds and Carl lost and these guys are doing incredible things against the Steelers offense and it's really pressuring colleges.
He's not able to get much done in regards to trying to throw the football down field.
He stands five of 11 43 yards, and he threw the interception to Troy Davis White in the first quarter is quarterback rating in abysmal 18.4.
So UH, not great things so far from the duck, a gruesome 76.
Thanks for joining the broadcast man and SportsCastr.
Thanks for free Tweet me, man, and letting the people know that I'm out here trying to do a little bit of play by play.
I really appreciate that, guys.
So as we return its first and 10 and this give is to Singletary, who takes the power rush to the right for a gain of about three.
And as they talk about the stats between the Watt brothers, you have to recognize what TJ what has done so far this season for the Steelers.
Sure fire defensive Player of the Year candidate will be a tight race, as this give is to Singletary, and he's brought down ferociously by Devin Bush, who has had an outstanding season in his own right, as the rookie out of Michigan has.
He's been around the line of scrimmage.
He's been all around the ball season one of the leaders on the team in terms of turnovers as well of tackles, and he doesn't even play every snap.
He only plays in certain situations.
So is to bring him along right a bit slower than you usually expect out of players in the NFL.
That's just the way they do things in Pittsburgh.
But that brings up 1/3 and eight empty backfield for Josh Allen.
Mark Barron stands is the Mike linebacker instant pressure mark.
But do Pretty got there immediately.
There is a flag.
You may have jumped offsides, but he got a Josh Allen for the sack on third down if he wasn't offsides and he waas one so third and three instead of bringing up fourth and long after Dupree's offsides penalty.
So look for the short routes to John Brown.
That is what's eaten up the Steelers as there's a bunch formation on the near side, Josh Allen in the shotgun.
Singletary goes out on a wheel route, but this one is thrown on an out route, this time to Seth Roberts instead, and it goes for a first down.
These quick, out and ends have really burned the Steelers all knights of this point in the first half.
There's been no answer.
You know, the Steelers have played much better in man coverage this season.
Of course, they've been one of the best defense is in the NFL.
But as faras natural man coverage, those those man beaters, those slants, those ends, those outs they've really hurt the Steelers, really throughout the season.
But especially here tonight in this ball game against the shorter, more agile receivers, Frank Gore gets another Carrie and this one he will not give up.
He's been in the league far too long to just let it play.
Die five yard gain.
So Frank Gore, a guy that you have to appreciate as a longtime player in the NFL.
He doesn't get enough credit at all, but he is the third all time leading rusher in the NFL over 500 yards so far this season as well.
So second and five now, Alan in the shotgun, Dupri is out on the slot receiver on the far side, and Cam Hayward's antics looks like it may have been what startled the left tackle to false start, and it does so second and 10 now, despite Frank Gore's rush, Dawkins jumps on the false start.
We're under three minutes now to go.
In the first half.
The Bills lead seven 23 They've got a second and 10 upcoming as they come out an I formation.
Frank Gore in the backfield and they'll fake this once.
A Gore. They're looking deep.
This one goes, It's intercepted.
Steven Nelson and he's gonna try to take it back.
He's got an inside the 20 cuts back down at the 19 by Frank Gore.
Once again, I said it earlier in the game.
His arm strength is its his biggest weakness as much as his biggest strength.
He overthrows his receiver, it bounces through his hands and the ever opportunistic Steelers defense, which leads the league and not in interceptions but in takeaways.
Stephen Nelson right there to get the ball off of Colby's Lee's hands, and he brought it back about 35 yards and puts the Steelers and an opportunity to take the lead just before half to 28 to go before we reach halftime in the shotgun.
White next to him, draw play to White, makes one guy Miss can't get around Edmund's Gehna one.
He's still in the field of play, so the clock won't stop except for this penalty that is coming, which could be some sort of helmet to helmet or personal.
Fell on the defender by the looks of where the flag was thrown and they call the face mask on Tremaine Edmonds.
And I got to say, when you're a bigger defensive player and you're tackling a much smaller defense are much smaller ballcarrier.
It can be difficult to not grab the face mask, but I've got to say during no instance of that play that remain Edmund's grab the face mask.
Bad call all the black on the Steelers uniforms.
You can kind of tell where the where the referees may have made the mistake.
It's at night, but bad call their The Steelers will take advantage.
They won't give it away first and 10.
Excuse me first and goal, but there is a time out now.
As we reached the two minute warning, guys, thanks again for joining the Stream.
My name is Jacob Harrison again.
Feel free to use the chat live feature.
Deering the brakes Steelers got a prime opportunity here to take the lead.
We'll see how it goes for them.
You know, it's been a struggle trying to get anything going in the passing game, so we'll see if they lean on James Connor to push this one in Conner four carries, just 17 yards, and 15 of those came on his first rush.
So a lot to improve upon for the Steelers offense.
Few shameless plugs.
Just a reminder for everybody that ah has maybe popped in a little bit later in the broadcast.
My name is Jacob Harrison.
This is re sports on SportsCastrs is just my second game calling play by play through SportsCastr.
So still a big thank you for SportsCastr in the avenue that they give young reporters and broadcasters.
Ah, the opportunity to do some fun stuff live digitally over the air as well.
So, uh, re sports is a brand new baby of mine.
It's gonna be a website that's kind of coming up soon.
To try to build a brand for myself is I get readyto graduate from the University of Alabama Roll Tide re sports.

Two days, two ends.
So wildcat formation.
Connor gives it to Deante Johnson and fumbles it away.
Never got a clean hand off.
Johnson. Fumbles it away.
Boyer comes away with it, gallops down the the field man.
The Steelers cannot get out of their own way tonight.
It was a low snap.
Connor tried to keep it, and that juggled the hand handling of Deante Johnson.
And when the ball popped up in the air and finally came to the ground, there was only white shirts and blue pants around it.
Trent Murphy was there to help aid the ball, getting away from the young rookie from Toledo.
Frustrating first half for the Steelers.
Three turnovers in this game, two of them against the black and gold.
So now Josh Allen will give the draw play to Devon.
Singletary cuts around up the middle before bouncing it outside for a gain of five.
He does stay in balance of the clock.
Tick ticks down below 1 40 a minute and 1/2.
Now to go, they don't appear to be in much of a hurry in trying to get anything out of this drive except protecting the football so the clock will dip down below five and they're actually gonna call a time out as play clock got just a bit too far.
So a minute five to go in the first half.
I want to remind our least let it be known.
I guess I haven't said it yet, but that be this dream will end at the end of the half, and I'll take a break during halftime.
But the second, the second half stream will be live just before the second half kickoff takes place.
What? How much? That's so second and six now just turn around.
Give it a single Terry.
See if he could make something magical happened and he's still showing that blue collar mentality of the Buffalo Bills, and it's been president all night.
Fights forward for the first down, it was what? So there'll be one more play here before we go toe halftime? Well, it said they'll call it third and inches he did not pick up the first down won't matter much in the grand scheme of things.
This one is given a Singletary again.
But do Pre was there as well as a few other Steelers, and that'll close out the first half the Buffalo Bills very much in charge.
The score doesn't really indicate how close this game has been because it hasn't been the bill's lead 7 to 3 with a playoff clinching opportunity on the line.
Doc Hodges has not played well.
The running game has not been there for the Steelers.
There's much to be changed as they go into the locker room for halftime.
Once again, guys, my name is Jacob Harrison.
This is re sports on SportsCastr.
I'm gonna end this stream, but I'll be right back just before halftime for the second half.
