cast coming to you, of course, on the SportsCastr network as we prepare ourselves in just a few moments getting off underway here, the Miami Dolphins visiting our New York football Giants with Eli Manning under Senator Excuse me.
And as we get under way here in the game action, we also highlight that we are currently looking at Brian Floors, the head coach for the Miami Dolphins, three and three over his last six games after starting the season.
So they come in here thinking they were getting a little bit banged up, get a couple of receivers back out of concussion protocol.
They're gonna be available in this game so they will bring in a, ah, full complement.
They're gonna have some rookie running backs getting underway for them. They're in the backfield.
But by and large, this is a healthy team taking on a healthy team for the New York football giants as well.
We also know let's focus in on the big picture here, right? Eli Manning at home.
He played last week against the Eagles, got off that hot start in the first half.
We talked about it on the podcast and the magnets and myself.
Inability for this coaching staff to make adjustments at halftime to react to what Doug Peterson did there with his squad at the break and then ultimately, only 24 passing yards in the second half.
Not a lot of ball movement.
Lotte Lotte opportunities for this team to get points on the board, shut out in the second to second half and then also the overtime session there.
And then, ultimately, the defense fades away.
Highlighting here is, well, generous Jenkins.
As we, as we hopefully all know, if not released by the New York football giants, following some, I'll say the very least.
Ah, comments made in poor taste, right? We know where where the culture is now.
And so in our society.
I think we're trying to wean out some that type of language in and around those subject matters.
Jenkins comes out makes that uses that kind of language on social media.
His apology is less than less than stellar.
Of the team sits down and talk with them, he still doesn't get it sold.
To me, the the Giants make decision to cut ties with him in the big picture scheme of things beyond what he said.
Ah, this is a move that if the Giants made in the off season, is the same relative difference, I think we have highlighted possibility that would the Giants consider trying to move him at the trade deadline? I don't think you're getting a lot of takers, right? Is a guy in a big contract, and certainly, even though the Giants would've been eating a portion of that, I don't think anyone was really looking to give up an asset to get him.
So John's part ways Here.
It's positive PR move.
You can slice it any way that you want it.
This was, as they always say, What if this was your number one right? What a sick one.
Barkley made a statement like this.
Would you cut him now? The reality being for us in particular, that's equal.
Barkley wouldn't make a statement like this, right? I mean, that's high character guys, and you talk about that idea of changing the culture in the locker room around the organization.
That can also be a little bit of a PR statement as well, but nevertheless they've moved on from him.
So now as we come into this match up, the starting lineup in this secondary is going to be Sam.
Deal with DeAndre bigger.
And then you're gonna have ah, Ballantine in there at the slot corner position. Starting.
We know that with peppers on I R Julian love, is there a the back end of the safety spot? So now we're talking about effectively, including Sam being on this group because of the injuries.
You finally got healthy on the field this season.
Starting four rookies.
They're in the secondary.
You combine that with Dex.
Dexter Lawrence, they're on the defensive front.
Five rookies getting an opportunity late in the season.
Dexter, obviously having his chances.
But now we're going to see in the secondary, right? What are we made of here? You know? Listen, you want to maybe say this addition by subtraction in getting rid of generous Jenkins, I think that again unto itself, he has been a fairly solid presence for this team.
Had up and down career with us, certainly.
But, you know, this year was a little bit off, remember we signed him at the start of his getting into his prime, and then the giants is a team went the wrong way so you can understand why, Just from a football standpoint, Jenkins was starting to build in frustration.
No excuses for what he had to say on social media and his response to the criticism around that.
But now you get these youngsters and what are they going to do? Are they going to be able to, you know, seeing Baker get a little bit better here? Over the last couple of weeks, we've seen Sandy will be up and down, but have some nice performances.
Julian Love has certainly looked apart.
They're on the back half coming down in the boss, contributing in the run defense.
So you've like what you've seen from him.
We talk about the stymied offense here, you know, And I went over this at length play calling adjustments.
You know, you can say the Giants come out here hot to start in this one, and that doesn't mean that Brian Flores isn't gonna make adjustments at halftime and then stymie this New York football Giants team.
If you're following us on social media, Andy and myself put our picks in today and this is one where I acknowledged I'm going with my heart.
Last week, I wanted to go with my heart fully and call for New York Giants victory, but ultimately being in Philadelphia.
I did not see it being the case, and it and it came to pass that it was not this week.
I do go with the New York football giants here.
Now, if you got a chance to listen to the podcast leading up to it, we highlighted Jake from the in.
The hunt of podcast covers the Miami Dolphins down there in overtime.
A media fellow brethren there, so ah, he is a guy that gave him insights into around Bart Bryant Flores.
And it's interesting to talk about a three win team versus A to win team.
But the conversation and the sense around this organization again three and three over the last six games that they've given a lot of young players opportunities here on this roster.
Some of them have proved themselves a diamond in the rough says as we like to say, we have our own and various Layton, but very positive around, you know, around this head coach and this franchise.
So you know Brian Floor is doing a lot of good things, putting a lot of nice pieces in position here, so you know, it's gonna be competitive.
Um, and again, you know that Maybe just X's and O's standpoint, maybe he has that edge because he has his guys playing at a higher level for May.
I'm thinking that Eli Manning, the New York football Giants, that the players that have been on this team with him that have played with him outside of these rookies, certainly this season out of outside of a couple of games, but that they're going to play this to a high level here when they come back.
And they introduced the Giants and Eli Manning feel for the first time I'm gonna be pumping up.
The volume on my TV screen here is a pure fan.
I want to hear the crowd reaction.
I do want to hear a little bit of that commentary in and around it, so you know we'll get a little bit double audio going as it gets started here.
But I'd like to think that maybe a big spark here, some from some of the guys, certainly from sake one.
Barkley played his rookie season with Eli Manning, Sterling Shepherd.
You know, giving a maximum effort and coming out here and giving the Giants and opportunity to send Eli out in the right fashion with a chance to get this victory before they Ah, you know, before they step away and turn the page fully and completely here on the Eli Manning chapter as a New York football giants.
So I called four.
I scratch my head here for a 2nd 27 23 victories.
What I'm looking for for the New York football Giants Andi Mack.
Oh, it's giving you a 28 to 24 line in favor of the Miami Dolphins.
Here is we get underway.
We'll take a brief pause just in my commentary.
Wait to see as they come out onto the field following the kickoff.
Give me a couple of minutes away here so we'll wait a second.
But, you know, and we talked about this on the podcast this morning as well, I could go either way with that line.
I think it could easily be the other.
The other option there.
They're highlighting here.
Second season games played for for Sam Bill 10 for Cory Valentine, 12 for Julian Love, 13 for DeAndre Baker and then they have a course 206 starts there.
France, along with thing alone veteran left out there in that secondary.
Um, and they also highlighting to Wilson, will be back here for the Miami Dolphins as well.
So they get all their compliments from Ryan Fitzpatrick.
But I think you could go either way, But I'm just hoping for an opportunity for this to be, Ah, Eli Manning's you know, Swan song here, and that's never a great way to pick games, I'll tell you that right now.
We also have expanded our season series.
If you follows on the podcast, picking some other games in those matchups, we each pick one and then go head to head on a battle s.
So I went ahead and I have Seattle coming from the West to take on the Carolina Panthers, laying six and 1/2 in that game.
I think they need this win, so I'm calling for Seattle to get that victory there.
Ah, and he went with the Oakland Raiders because that's just a very friendly match up for him on the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars defense laying seven As we do get underway here in game action, Giant starting off on defense, kick returns, couple of scripts and squirms there, and he gets himself out to the 30 yard line is we will get underway.
Michael Thomas, the veteran on the tackle there for the Giants.
So first starting off on defense will get a look at these young guys we talked about in the secondary and then just capping it off Our highlight.
Andy and I went head to head on the Buffalo Bills visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I love what Mike Tomlin has done out there.
It's Ah, Buffalo plus one.
I love what they've done out there, certainly losing some of those big name players.
You gotta duck underneath center.
As I said on the podcast put, I'm taking the bills and he gets the Steelers in that head to head match, jumps up.
Getting underway here.
Fitzpatrick, out of the shotgun, looks to do a little draw and does a nice job by Dexter Lawrence raging down the line.
And it is Julian love getting down in there in a hurry here as ah, he collapses down there after just maybe a yard or two.
It will bring up a second and night.
So just officially, a one yard gain there, as I look to pull up some additional information in and around this game here second and nine, with Fitzpatrick now stepping under center fakes, the handoff here will look to throw it downfield, goes back to the running back now out of the backfield, A lot of space to work with.
Baker tried to get in there, couldn't quite get him.
It will be Mayo bringing him down just short of the line to gain.
So this will be 1/3 down opportunity here.
Not a bad book, and play there on the outside edge from the Miami Dolphins.
And, uh, we will see opportunity third and one for them to get a stop here course.
Across the front, you got Williams Tomlinson at the nose and Dexter Lawrence alongside Golden Ogletree.
Mayo and Carter highlight this package there at the second level, and then, in the end, the deep backfield.
There we highlighted Baker love buffet and feel third and one.
He squirts right through that line.
There found a nice little seem, so love down your line of scrimmage, couldn't find him there and is layered with a nice job here so far for the Miami Dolphins early in this one, getting a couple of rushing looks and then also doing a nice job out of the backfield as well.
So this is the kind of game that you're gonna, you know, kind of lump in the throat scenario here.
Literally, Uh, you know, it's gonna It's gonna be a tough one.
This is gonna be a difficult game to watch.
Um, from a giant sample because you're going against the three win team has another hand off here on first down and a great job once again highlighting Julian Love, I'm gonna tell you right now, we talked about on the podcast.
I highlighted it here last week.
I think that he is showing you a lot here in the absence of Jabrill Peppers.
This is a player that I think you have to get and can get really excited about.
As you're seeing how quickly he's moving towards that life.
He's playing with a lot of natural instincts and that transition from corner to the safety is certainly going well for for Julian love early on here in some of the, you know, relatively short returns here.
Starting 2nd 12 Now hear Fitzpatrick drops back. He's got an edge.
Rush coming. Gets it away with ease.
Finds the tight end.
See if you stepped out there before he reached.
Looks like he take a look There. Did a nice job.
He reached his hands out there and got it.
That was Baker defending against him there and will get an opportunity here.
And that is, of course, finding that tight.
And remember last week, if you're talking about the New York Giants, obviously one of those ones as Ah, that was Ah, Kosecki who got that first downplay.
He's done a nice job coming on for the Miami Dolphins team now under center goes Fitzpatrick.
He's got the loan.
Setback of fullback goes in.
Motion comes across the line there again.
Pressure from the edge cannot get to him in time.
Baker wraps up quickly there, and that will be short.
They're making a second and one as it was Parker getting that reception here, his first of the game.
Working against bigger.
The replay gets inside leverage. Not bad.
And just a little bit of a bump Jam off there and really create a little bit of separation for him to work across the line of scrimmage and get that.
Oh, no, The in the first down yardage there.
So ah, highlighting him.
22 catches over the last four games so quickly.
Now, another first down just outside of the 33 here and running Play will get swallowed up there.
We're talking about Leonard Williams moving down the line there nicely, giving himself an opportunity to make that play and stopping them after minimal gain, their second and nine once again coming up for the New York football Giants.
Oh, this is gonna be interesting to see here.
Opportunity for them, the Giants defensively to hold this offense of Miami to a field goal, opportunity.
And really, you know, we talk about this third down, please.
But you saw the last the last set of downs, second and 9 to 1/3 1 Right now you're talking about second and nine holding here.
Keep him in 1/3 and long, and then you could do some things defensively.
Plenty of time in the pocket looks to lay it out of the backfield rate into his mitts, and he just takes his eye.
Starts to look up field a little bit prematurely there and now A great opportunity here for the Giants.
They're out of 32.
Could be a very long field goal here, nine yards to go.
But again, we have seen a couple of looks.
They're coming from the edge here, trying to blitz Fitzpatrick.
The pressure has not been getting to him yet, and, ah, they are highlighting as well.
19 drop passes going back to early in the season, fourth most in the NFL of for the Miami Dolphins.
So big third down and nine plate coming here looking around the stadium scene, a lot of empty seats Now.
It is the opening drive, you know.
So maybe some people just taking their time getting there out of the shotgun with layer and on his left hip is Fitz Packard.
Patrick and just the play just gets it off in time, throwing down the sideline and broken up nicely.
There. That will be Michael Atomics against.
There and he does.
A good job gets sticky.
Excuse me There's a nice job.
They're trailing him.
He's caught behind the play a little bit, doesn't over pursue, doesn't get his hands and on the body and really just allows that ball to get in there and then starts to move those limbs around and fight that one out of there.
So a pretty good job by Thomas, you're seeing him getting used, Utilized here on a key third down play.
He comes up with the stop, and now they will line up here for what will be a 49 yard field goal attempt here.
Ah, as he had a franchise high seven last week was Sanders.
So we'll see if he connects here.
And if the Giants get away early and they dio wide right goes the field goal attempts so the Giants will get on the field here.
Gonna go ahead and turn of this audio and see the reception that we get for Eli Manning and it will be the will be a break before they come back into itself.
Uh, listen net result.
They're obviously aided by the fact that layered out of the back fields could not quite get that bull from Fitzpatrick had some room out in front of them so would have at least made it 1/3 and relatively short, if not a first down there.
Instead, you hold them to a long field, going, as we know for the New York football Giants fans in Ma was a metal and what was it Now the metal lands east for the first stadium, you know, in East Rutherford, winds are swirling there, so you know you're going to get the opportunities on.
Some of these long field goes to get impacted.
It's certainly early in the game.
You probably prefer for either side of this team to be able to get some of those easier chip shot field goals.
So you can kind of get a sense of what the winds doing even from that 15 2025 yard range out.
And then, if you have a 49 yarder, you're trying to make those adjustments so you can prepare for that.
But first kick here after probably Pretty game or Monster.
Sanders goes wide after going seven field goals last week, and the Giants get away with it right? So now we get over the offensive side of the ball.
What are we gonna look to do here? They're gonna try to move it through on the ground with, say, Kwame Barclay.
A lot of people feel like he's ready to pop here.
I think again we saw last week some success and opportunities for Darius Slaten, but we were highlighting this in our conversation with Andy MCA wits, you know, on Lee.
Four catches for us.
Certainly Shepherd just 28 yards.
Golden Tate, one reception there.
So not a lot of action for this team in that in that last game against the Eagles, in spite of ah depleted or underperforming secondary for Philadelphia still were not able to get anything going there.
So that's something that I'm gonna be curious to see how you try to find that rhythm.
And then, as I have been beating the drum about this Ah, this offensive line for the Giants, it has not been great for me.
And actually, I should I should've double checked on this.
I thought that anger and would be out, and he is right.
Ellison remains out when Goldman remains out.
Obviously, you know, Jones will be out in this one.
But then Zeitler is going to be out here as well, so we'll look to see who replaces him.
We have seen a couple of different pieces getting used there.
Maybe Gates will come in at that guard spot and see what that looks like in this game. Slave.
The backup guard is also out as well.
So I'm gonna have to shuffle something on the offensive line.
Gonna be without at least a tight end weapon here.
But for me, personally, I just feel like it has been, Ah, an opportunity missed in terms of getting sick on Barkley back into a rhythm as he continues to get healthy here by not having strong, consistent play.
Here we go, Mrs First and 10 here.
Just getting some that live big broadcast coverage in the background to see what they do.
Sequined Barkley on the run will pick up about three is he rolls over top of the tackle there on the outside.
Safety came down to meet a nice place.
You know, top seven completions, passing yards and touchdowns.
I just you know, I know that people knock him over all here, but I you know, it's a later stage of his career.
I know that he was an iron man.
Some of stats are based on being able to be on the field and available, But I love him.
Thank you. You like.
As he goes over the middle, there would have been a first down catch looking for Sterling Shepherd.
Nice ball. Shepherd can't bring it in.
Drop past there for Ah, for Sterling here.
Well, I had a nice little pad of the ball.
Got that one down there, a little wobbly coming out, but rate into the number and the chest there of a Sterling Shepherd he's got to make that play would have been a solid 12 15 yard pickup.
Instead, we find ourselves early here with 1/3 down look.
We seen, you know the third down percent is just 21% over the last three games for this team.
They were up near 40 in those 1st 10 games.
So big third and seven here early for the New York football giants.
As Smith moves in motion, out of the shotgun goes, Eli drops back time to throw looks, pulls it down and then can't get anything happening.
They're not really big opportunity.
We'll take a look at There is a flag down on the place.
See if there's a penalty on the defensive side of this ball.
The Giants staying on the field offensively here, so thinking it will be against the day and it is so illegal.
Contact on Ah, Needham there.
And I believe that's one of the players that Jake was highlighting for the in the hunt podcast young player that they like.
And there it is.
You just you know what? I think Sterling Shepard was maybe going to be falling down anyway.
But, ah, he reaches across and pulls out.
If I didn't need to do it, and it's a bit of a bail out there on 1/3 and seven, you have tight coverage.
Allow the play to get made.
Tackle him down.
It's one of those things that you made me feel like.
And by the way, penalty yardage assessed to the Dolphins.
They just highlighted here on the broadcast, fifth fewest in the NFL.
So they are Flynn team Barkley up the gut here is gonna grab 345 yards almost there, rumbling up the middle in and behind Hala Pio.
There We'll see if they highlight the starting unit and confirm who is next to AA members on the inside of his gates.
I can already tell 65.
So he's gonna get a run here.
You wonder if he shows you enough.
Talked about him.
Previously on some of our broadcast and what we think he can do Does he have an opportunity to compete for the tackle position on the right side next season as the Giants come up here? Just a three. Our game. Wow.
Well, could you move that ball of hot a little bit further, But just a three yard gain on first down and we now we'll see a second and 70 lie out of the shotgun.
There was Sterling Shepard, Eli with all the time in the world.
And then we'll fire deep downfield and connects with Starling Shepherd coming back there.
Nice job by Eli Manning A flag on the play here and it looks like they may call offensive pass interference Now on Sterling Shepard trying to get space against needles.
So this will be a bit of a and it is so unfortunately, there we'll get a look at this replay.
Sterling Shepard tryto work downfield.
Eli Manning had time.
Good pocket presence.
Ah, good protection from this offensive line.
And unfortunately, though, as you see him work downfield Wow.
I mean, you want to call that a makeup call for what? They called against Miami, But I do not believe that he has his hand on the back of Needham and listen, you want to keep your hands away from him? But I did not see a move there.
By the way, Giants penalty yards per game, fewest in the NFL.
So they have done a pretty nice job for themselves.
In spite of the record, this is, Ah, young team trying to get better and playing relatively error. Free ball.
Eli Manning back down a second in 17 will get Sterling Shepard working across the line there for just a yard.
That, and it's going to bring up third and very long here for the New York football giants.
Do not didn't didn't love that play call there, but listen, when you're ah, you're bad teams, right? You're bad teams.
You're not going to get the benefit of the doubt on some of these.
So big third and 16 here now is the highlight.
The defensive line up for the ah, Dolphins.
They've got a baker of their own at linebacker, actually.
And then need them.
Is that youngster? They're out at a cornerback, Not safety.
Excuse me of for the Miami Dolphins.
So out of the shotgun.
Ah, five wide receiver for wide receiver said, Excuse me as a shepherd comes in motion to the bottom of the screen, and we'll see here is Eli does not have a lot of time and quickly goes down just nowhere to go there. Pressure brought.
And unfortunately, in these situations, right? What are we talking about? Listen objectively, right, Eli Manning, Not very mobile.
Can't get out off the edge here.
But you're talking about a little stunt.
Their offer the right side here, off the left side of the line, though, as Nate soldiers gets bumped away again there and does not pick up the additional block.
Ah, highlight that and mark it down as being one of the first of probably a couple of times here.
Now, I'm gonna be looking at that side of the line there.
That left side soldier, you know, shucks his man.
Once he kicks inside, Hernandez picks him up.
And then Soldier just does not do a job of, ah, of walking up the man that works around his edge there.
So Ah, this just go down a long laundry list of issues that I've had.
With Nate Soldier, we will wait for the next drive to get underway for the Miami Dolphins.
Understand? Take a brief step away here and get myself a little beverage here.
Maybe a nice cup of Joe as, Ah, this action moves itself through for the New York football giants.
And, ah, just a shadow.
Thank you for joining in there.
Hi. I'm calling for you guys to win.
You're coming cross country, and I'm looking for you guys to get that w against the Carolina Panthers.
It's a big part of your season.
Ah, and then just that, you know, Thank you for anyone else that joined in here on the broadcast right now.
Give me just one moment here, and then we'll come back in live on that action as the Giants defense will come back out with another opportunity to continue to look.
Let's necessarily about the results and what happens in this game.
We could get a look at Baker at, feel at Love and Valentine and see what we're what we're seeing from them out there in that secondary and how they're playing against.
Ah, some a guy like Parker's certainly a talent on that side.
They got Wilson back as well, so not like last week.
We didn't have a lot of competition out there.
This is a reasonable matchup, and certainly they should have opportunities to make some big place with.
Patrick is going to be willing to grip it and rip it here.
So hopefully uh, we continue to see some stout defense here, although they don't get lucky on this field goal.
But you did Holden there on that third down play back in just a moment, right back in their first down run and got them four second and six, able to find a hole and look like a little bit of a possible slight zone defense.
There from better saw Mayo trying to drop back in over the middle and is unable to keep his eye on that receiver connecting for a nice pick up there.
Oh, they back that one up there. Ah, Sorry.
After another incomplete start, second down in 10 here.
Stepping away for a minute, dispatcher drops back.
Pressure comes there, up the gut.
There will be a penalty here.
See if it's a possible holding his Ogletree snuff out the ah screen attempt There they have a holding call and you're watching the Giants.
And Ogle Tree goes against the defense.
And that's why they were looking so intently at what that Cole was going to be because I felt like they were going to disagree.
So, just like that, you feel like you're snuffing out of play opportunity there and blowing one up in the backfield instead.
Ah, the Giants surrender a holding penalty.
Try to look inside here and see where you're gonna get it. Oh, yes.
Oh, old trinkets to tackle because he held him right around the hip there, spun him around the ball, still gets to him, and then he brings him down.
So ah, now all of a sudden, a few.
And at least penalized yardage A in the NFL.
Couple of these penalties already on each of these first couple of drives.
Mayo flashes as the Blitzer up there, and the gap will see if he still continues to come. He does.
They go with the run and in his mail that gets through that line and wraps him up behind the line of scrimmage. There.
Williams helping move that pile.
But to get Mayo into the back field brings up a second down and 11 here for the Miami Dolphins.
Remember, Devante Parker was one of those names we talked about.
A free agency wide receiver that maybe the Giants would look to get after here.
Club option for Miami is Jake was highlighting our crossover episode.
Certainly you'd like to see there'll be an opportunity there, uh, to maybe get in another another.
Another weapon, right? Are they keeping Golden Tate? Will they move on from that contract? So many questions around this team Fitzpatrick scrambles out of there is pressure Combs, and he gets there and gets the first down marker again.
We talked about it when you're playing against a veteran quarterback that feels like on a team like this, given Wednesday, the season is he's not gonna give up anything he's not gonna protect himself at any point here.
And certainly you seen that from fifth Patrick throughout his career.
Commitment to going for it gets up.
The field sidesteps Ogle Tree, and by the time it looks like that is, Valentine comes in to make that tackle.
He's already got himself in a great position to pick up that first.
Fitzpatrick always does just enough.
Early results there.
Nothing with the rushing touchdown for Carson in that game, giving them the early lead.
So hopefully, if you're following along on social media, you can start tooting my horn here as I look to build a dominant lead over Andy MCA wits.
I will also be calling for two seasons.
Siri's going Andre, the Giant season.
Siri's were all locked up at 10 and three, looking to see if I can get the edge here with the Giantsvictory.
Renzo Carter, completely at a position there, doesn't even realize that Patrick had that ball rolling out of the pocket.
He will connect with it.
Looks like Parker there again, and then a joint after Julian Love and ah Ballantine out there on the wrap up first down for the Miami Dolphins.
So far, what we're seeing is ah, on the on the Giants defensive side of things.
Plenty of time here.
They roll out, and you really Like I said, you saw Carter just completely by in honor of on a very loose, you know, light play fake.
They're from Fitzpatrick there.
The running play here on first and 10 from the 19 picks up about a yard so they'll still have a second and long coming up here for themselves.
Well, just frustration.
I'm more, you know, again, I got to do I gotta do is the right way.
I gotta look at the positives and how to find the silver lining in some of these places because right now, just a little bit of frustration for me as I think about this secondary.
And then But it is sometimes linebacker Plato to that Lorenzo Carter play.
It really bothers me right now.
They go down to the end zone there, and it is a nice job by DeAndre Baker.
So on Parker here on this play is a good job.
Once again, we talked about Baker starting to get into a little bit of a rhythm for himself, starting toe fine his identity here, Maybe a little bit.
He's out there on the edge.
He gets his head around, looks back and then gets that hand in there.
That's a quality play on a black shoulder.
Look here from Fitzpatrick trying to find Parker.
That's a great job.
Now that ball could have thrown a little bit higher, possibly.
But Baker is a great job again.
Most importantly, get your head around.
It's how you avoid some of those penalties that are easy for referees to call and easy for offensive players.
So look for especially down around the red zone here, 1/3 and nine.
Now, Fitzpatrick out of the shock on steps back, fires over the middle, avoid the tackler, and then it will be gang effort here, and they will stop him. Just short.
We're gonna mark him down just outside of the 10.
Here, So will be 1/4 and one.
Be interesting to see.
Maybe if it's Patrick and the ah, the Dolphins will look to go for it here on fourth and one.
It seems like that will be the case.
Three and 10 verses to an 11.
Why not go for it so they will line up? It looks like to go for this one here on fourth and one.
Wouldn't be surprised if they go the route of a Q B sneak from Fitzpatrick.
As we mentioned, he's a pretty sturdy body, and it gives you some good, uh, good movement and Aaron behind the pocket.
So under center, he is stout line here.
We'll see what the Giants looked to do.
They go with the run play and a nice job by the New York football Giants defense wrapped in that one up.
Don't know where that offensive lineman is pointing, but that's a great job there, highlighted by the effort of Tomlinson right in the middle of it all, blowing that play up from the onset here.
No chance as it was.
Thomas and works right over top of that center avoids the hole that he was trying to give to him.
Love down in there as well.
Beautiful play from this defense.
Beautiful play from Tom wants in a guy who, as we've been talking about, was this one of the pieces that gets moved on from when you brought in Leonard Williams.
I have been getting swung further back in the other direction.
This guy's making a statement that he deserves to be here on this roster and potentially for the long term.
Think back to the Lindvall Joseph days, right where he was able to walk away and signs with Minnesota.
This is a guy that I think maybe needs to be looked at as combining him with Dexter Lawrence.
And then you can make your judgment call about how you feel about you know, about a Leonard Williams and the choices like that that Ah, Dave Gentleman 1,000,000 etcetera, etcetera.
But coming on consistently here over the last handful of games, I have really liked what I have seen out of Dalvin Tomlinson on a game to game basis.
Let's also go ahead and take a look.
Here's one of the ones that we've been doing consistently over here.
I'm bringing some of these numbers into the podcast as well.
When we talk about an immaculate tonight in the pro football focus ratings, I'll get there in just one second as I check in on one more stat line here.
Okay, so diving inside these numbers, we Ah, we take a look and say, Let's get over the pro football focus I've been close enough in on the on Ah, the week to week basis kind of numbers here in and around this offensive lines were gonna highlight their first.
Um, you know what? Let's go with my gut here as the Giants get to turn over on dancing.
The offense will come back out here momentarily, but let's go inside this roster, right? Let's get inside that defense and let's talk Taliban Tomlinson.
Coming into this game, we highlight him.
2 pro football focus rating.
22 solo tackles, 17 assists, three sacks and one forced fumble.
Nice little tackle for a loss there as well.
We just saw on that place.
So he's had a silent season.
I think that this is a nice talk about building that rotation of players that you wanna work so to keep everybody fresh.
It's a different look then we're used to in the 43 now in the 34 though you have to feel like it still gives you a chance to have some success and I stand by the defense now, Eli Manning out under center for the New York football giants, needing to find a rhythm here.
See if Pat Shurmur can get creative fakes.
The handoff looks downfield.
He will connect with Kaidan Smith, the tight end.
A nice job there, A very quick play.
Quick little fake hand off their looks, upfield and up that seem there was kidding.
Smith found a nice little pocket against that defense.
Good connection here and move that bowl of field and trying to give yourself some rhythm.
And also get this Miami defense backing off the line of scrimmage a little bit, as you don't want them crowding there and preventing sake.
One Barclay for maybe having some easy looks on.
Two out of those three linebackers, bit down in the other one tried to step back there on his own and a nice touch pass there from Eli Manning.
Last three games for Smith has 13 catches.
This is another thing we talked about.
Would you think about training a guy like Evan Ingram? I'm not saying Smith is that Go on.
Nice move on the inside, breaking it back outside of Sequana Barkley picking up that first out for the New York football giants.
You gotta like that.
And that was a great little move, as we've seen from sake one over the course of his young career.
He takes this handoff inside, cuts back out to the right side of the line there, and then Jaws puts the man on skates.
He has got that young man need him out there looking sloppy as he gets to the outside edge.
Picks up 11 a first out of the New York football giants back to back first downs here, starting this Dr and so important after a turnover like that to get yourself in that field position battle, Here's another hand off.
Say, Quan goes right over the top.
There picks up about two little bit of hand checking in there around that line.
Now, as we will ah, get this one.
Reset here on a second and eight.
But, you know, you've already reset that Linus field position.
Excuse me? Battle where? You know, you get that turn over on downs, but you're at your own 10.
If you go three and out.
Now you're still talking about giving Miami short field here After two quick plays nice connection with Smith, followed up by, say, Quan Barclay there on a good run.
And now you get him.
Ah, you get him into a better position out here in midfield, Steve, already, you've already done the thing that you wanted to accomplish following that turn over.
Now you gotta look to get some points on the board here early.
I feel like you're seeing Saeko on Berkeley.
We talked about it getting healthier each and every week out of the shock on drawing a steak.
Want Barkley dances a little bit and then cuts up inside, picks up another two, maybe three yards and will bring up 1/3 down and five now for the New York football Giants rate around midfield, as we will wrap up the first quarter does not look like the Johnson this playoff before then, down to 10 seconds will come back.
Start the second quarter here with a big third down play for the New York football Giants.
Checking in with Annie Mack.
Let's hear I apologize for looking away from the screen for an extended amount of time.
We won't try to do what we did last week as well.
Get a little live look in with him.
If there's an opportunity.
And as we go back into this pro football focus rating, let's dive into the quick numbers that we've talked about time and time again across this offensive line.
3 now for jalape o still trending in the wrong direction there, let's take a look at made soldier quickly.
5 is actually a tick up, slightly in a better direction there.
The problem that we've really hunt Highlighting about him, though, is as you have 10 sacks allowed now on the on the season.
Excuse me is that his mistakes come in the biggest moments on the big third down conversions.
At a given point in the game, when you want to sustain the drive when you're trying to make a comeback, whatever it is, that's when he's giving up.
That's when the pressure's coming and he's giving up those looks.
So we'll see what they called on that other sack there in the first quarter on Eli Manning as well.
We talked about rumors he's been playing in and around.
4, slowly trending in the wrong direction for himself over the course of this season.
Ah, let's get inside.
Where is my boy? Where is my boy? I can't find all their issues.
Well, Hernandez, that's my man.
And he is down now to a 59.
So he and this last week trended again, further in the wrong direction as well.
So these are the kind of things that concern you in and around the New York football giants when you talk about offensive line play and the last one will highlight just to give you guys a sense of it, you talk about Nick Gates.
I'm not saying he's been lighting the world on fire, but is played to a 71.
1 pro football focus rating on Lee 95 snaps.
So you're really only talking about, you know, about two games worth, but he's going to get a long run here at the guard position today.
So coming out of this game, we're going to get a better sense of where he is in terms of his rating and how he has been performing once you get to know, you know now, this full game as well dug in a three full games worth of offensive snaps.
That's something I think you can hang your hat on and really know what.
You can quantify him as now, whether or not you think is he's getting runs here.
The guard position.
Do you think that you want to get him out there into a tackle spot? Or do you look and say, you know, again, site was gonna be here next year? He's performed pretty well for you, so if he's gonna have an opportunity at a starting role, you think the tackle spots and then certainly, at the very least, you know you have solid depth with him on this offensive line.
They're trying to get Golden Tate on a quick cut across the field, and that one is swatted down so forth.
And five will come here for the New York football Giants again, though.
Nice turn over on downs by the defense, and then here as we watch again inside.
A nice defensive play there by that cornerback.
Got his hand in there, reached in and extended it.
Eli Manning wanted that play, obviously to go there and just has to kind of deal with it.
Now you're here for you would say, right.
They're gonna be pumping here from the 44 yard line.
This is 43 yard line, actually, that this is a scenario where I'm the Giants, I'd be going for it.
You know, me personally, I'd be thinking we should be going for this pollution going for here.
As Dixon does a nice job getting this one to check down just outside the tent took an unfriendly back 10 11 yard line here.
I'd love to hear from Andy on that one, and we'll see if he has an opportunity for a live check in here.
As we make sure I get myself Ah, pen out here, Get my news and notes down now from their own.
I will call it the 11 here.
The dolphins will get underway, dropping Bacchus Fitzpatrick fires to the outside.
And, of course, old tree.
Unable to make what would have been a zero gain overruns his coverage there.
And you're gonna end up with the net result of the first down in a nice pick up there.
And these kind of things you highlight about why Ogle Tree has been not listen, has been terrible.
But why? He's a problem of the price tag you're paying him.
You see him just completely overrun.
I don't know where you could be thinking what you're thinking about giving the sideline, pushing to the sideline.
He's gonna have less room to work with.
Instead, it's a big pickup on first out.
And just like that, we see, Ah, the Miami Dolphins.
Do a nice job getting themselves out to their 26 yard line and remove some of that concern about playing close to the shadow of your own goal line.
Handoff here gets grabbed immediately by Tomlinson and DeAndre Baker coming down in there as well to help out on the tackle.
Maybe one yard there dispatching drops back here, has time.
Rolls out of the pocket, scrambles back inside.
Williams lost in there in the back field and he will run, lowers his shoulder, and we'll pick up a solid first down there and what is about a 12 13 yard gain.
So if it's Patrick's legs, remember leading rusher for the Miami Dolphins.
Ryan Fitzpatrick has done a nice job here and again.
You talk about mobility, right? Even a veteran quarterback like it's Patrick gives you so many other opportunities.
Did you see is he takes this snap.
He's going to go and get flushed out of the pocket, then get flushed back inside with the pursuit of Leonard Williams.
And once he loses him there now, it's just getting down the lane right up the gut of the field there and picking up an easy first down run.
From now, the 41 yard line it goes and this one will get blown dead.
Should get Pollstar cold here on Miami.
Ah, as we go as you like to be the incentive anybody does want to get involved on a live chat Here.
You do it on social media as well, but and he is gonna be checking in with his briefly.
So there's anything you want to touch on.
The one question I'm gonna have for him is that fourth down and three plate.
Do you feel like you want the giants to go for that? They're your over midfield.
43 yard line. You're too.
Why aren't you going for it? More off.
Seems like the perfect scenario there.
I understand you're inside the Florida.
You probably made me feel a little bit better about it.
As with, Patrick connects over the middle, Male loses his man on the inside, he turns in Iran and gets himself up field there.
After the first and 15 penalty, though, Wilson will have a nice job.
They're turning this bull upfield and getting a good chunk here, getting them back into a second down and reasonable second more than reasonable second and four to go here.
Some of the things that were highlighting now remember we said maybe it was done a decent job for this team.
But again, you're seeing where that lack of athleticism of the hip rotation on the inside their local true that over pursuit on the outside, you're seeing how it started to take its toll here when they're getting wide receivers in and around that secondary level.
That mid level against the linebackers, getting a nice run after catch opportunities across the board so far out of the shotgun with a four wide receiver set fires outside a nice job on the tackle, thereby Cory Valentine.
But Ford makes that connection and picks up five to move the chains here as we come upon 11 37 rain.
Now to play she's name By letting scores around the league, McCaffrey gets a one yard rushing touchdown, bringing the Seattle Seahawks game.
They're closing their gap 13 7 now.
And of course, this is a battle between myself and any Mac.
What's on the podcast? I need to keep an eye on this kind of place.
Mayo doesn't nice job.
Get in the back fields here.
And this is what we're talking about, right? Maybe there's a good job there against the run, you know, and that is a gasket on that carry their nothing doing, really, you know, he's solid against the run.
Big body can move those guys around on that offensive line.
Likewise, for Ogletree lost a little bit of Shelby's, but it does a good job in run defense run defense.
The question now is who's gonna help you out from a linebacker position in coverage, and that's where you're seeing so many issues off for this team.
We talked about that idea.
If you move on from the old country, maybe kick Lorenzo Carter inside like Hindi, kind of that run stuffer for you gives you a little bit more flexibility there as the catch is made by the time and get sticky with love.
There in coverage will bring up third down of about, uh, I'll say three, maybe to third and two.
Here's another opportunity.
This giant's defense trying to get a stop here.
Remember, of course, that the Miami Dolphins did go for it on the fourth and one.
So you're always gonna have to have that in the back of your mind here, third and short.
See that? Do you stick with the run play Giants? I've done a nice job in run defense, blowing up some of these please in the back field at the line of scrimmage.
So we'll see if they may be trying to get Ah, get Patrick out there on the edge and give him a chance to use his legs if you so choose, is five on the clock here.
Out of the shotgun, man in motion for water.
Seaver split two apiece.
They get the same exactly they just had.
And then love Mrs The Tackle here, and Wilson then blows rate by Antoine Buffet.
A nice job by DeAndre Baker Thio.
Bring him down there and stop it at least.
But love, unfortunately, a little bit late, getting over the second time.
They forced him down along that line of scrimmage there.
And you're just using this speed of Wilson and then just taking them off as we watch that rub outside and really isn't a bad job.
Everything that love does there is fantastic.
Just got to go lower, wrap up those legs and bring him down to the ground.
It's a little bit high on that tackle around the shoulders, allows him to shuck it off.
They pick up that first dam, and the Miami Dolphins will now be working from just on the fringe of the 20 year out of the shotgun.
Once again, three wide receivers said running backs split to the right in the backfield.
Fitzpatrick drops back.
Has time looks, fires over the top of great strike.
There in the end zone, Ballantine looks like he is the one that gets beat in coverage.
Might be wondering, as Fitzpatrick will celebrate here, Uh, whether or not over the top help should have been there from the safety position will take a look at the replay here.
Nevertheless, a seven nothing leave as we are getting in into about the midway point approaching starting fortune midway point of this second quarter.
There it is, Antoine Buffets, the man highlighted over the top.
He basically gets caught in absolute no man's land.
So once again, Antoine Buffet, you know you can beat up.
You can beat up Cory Valentine this on this play if you want to, he does get burned over the top, but nobody is there.
Antoine Buffet is the single high safety in that scenario.
He has Mayo over the middle of that linebacker roll there.
So you have to make his choice.
Are you going to drop back and pick that play there over to the left hand side of the right hand side? Your choice.
But you have to help out something, and the fact that you find yourself trailing on that reception over the top in the end zone is just unacceptable.
And again, it doesn't speak to his a***en but me.
I will say on that particular play, though it felt a lot more like, Hey, you're not recognizing where you need to be on this, have to make your choice, commit to it and then move, because if you're playing over the top coverage there at that linebacker spot, you're going to be in a great position there, too.
At least contest that opportunity or about that ball away.
And by the way, if you've gone to the other side of the field and offer double coverage in another area, I'm not gonna knock him for not being over there to help out with Valentine.
But right now, what I'm seeing is that this is a guy who doesn't make a commitment one way or the other and gets caught in no man's land, effectively covering no.
And then that's how you get it over the top, noting that the conversation with Annie Markowitz we could go ahead and just take a little scan around the league here and see what we've got going on around the NFL.
New England, trailing though in possession here, trailing the Cincinnati Bangles 10 to 7.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers up Big 14.
Nothing in the ah second quarter.
They're starting second quarter already up 14 nothing over Detroit Lions, Chicago, trailing seven nothing against the Green Bay Packers, Houston and Tennessee in a deadlock at zero apiece here, although Tennessee at the 18 of Houston right now, Kansas City up nine.
Nothing over Denver in that second quarter as well, and then the Philadelphia Eagles in a bit of a battle, 10 7 over the ah Washington Redskins Division matchup there.
If you're a Giants fan, that's we're rooting for.
You're running for a Washington to come back in that one.
Get that victory, give themselves another W.
In that way, it makes the result of this game potentially even less impactful, though.
As of right now, you know Johnson, let's try to get back on the offensive side of things here.
We've seen a couple of nice things, a couple of good runs from, say, Quan Barkley.
Unfortunately, though, a couple of missed opportunities in that passing game a dropped pass it well on offense.
It pass interference cold against past there as well.
And I was a drug past nice contested defendant past there, looking on that third down conversion for golden tape.
Parker on that touchdown touchdown reception.
If I did not highlight in there, and that, of course, will be probably a big piece that will be looking to secure a long term we go inside the box score here is this kickoff goes clean through the end zone.
Fitzpatrick 12 of 16 or 148 passing yards to this point of the game with one touchdown, a 1 24 rating.
Eli Manning just two of four for 28.
So not a lot happening there is given up that saca's well for a 10 yard loss.
Ah, in the running game, five for 23 has been, say, Qanbar.
Commissar, you like what you seen so far? 4.
6 average Certainly getting him back to those usual numbers we anticipate from him.
On the other side, though.
Layer just seven for nine.
But the killer has been a Zeeland drops back to pass with lots of time fires over the middle.
Nicely tip there at the linebacker position and what I was looking for that sure who's looking for there but a good job on the defense for Miami Gaskins.
Just three carats for four yards.
The big killer for the Giants has been two runs from Ryan Fitzpatrick for 24 yards, and the I think both of those came for first down runs as well, so converting right, highlighting Haskins, your five for five and a touchdown.
There are over 100 yards passing against the Eagle secondary under center handoff to Barkley.
Gets eaten up in the backfield immediately.
Gains maybe half a yard.
Now Boil boy and again highlight this lack of creativity by this by this coaching staff.
I know they're saying split after the season for Sherman to get fired.
Maybe it's just symbolic.
You know what? I get it.
Run out the string with him, but I'm so fed up with Pat Shurmur and what he's been doing from a play calling standpoint on a week to week basis.
It, uh, it's disheartening.
I'll put it that way.
Eli Manning out of the shock on three wide receivers, set here on 1/3 and 10.
No time to throw, gets it down the sideline in a hurry, tried to connect with Darius Layton, and they will throw the flag there.
So Darius Lee and trying to bring that one in.
And it looks like maybe he was just held back as he reached out for I was gonna say You want to bring that catch in Let's take a look at this replay and see what they had.
It is the pass interference against the defense.
We get a look at this replay and working at the sideline, little hand checking, little hand checking and then grabbed the arm there extra at the end, pulling away his right arm.
Otherwise, I think, as you see it gets in their early pulls out that arm.
If he has both hands available, I'll tell you that.
Darius Latent probably connects there on that reception.
So first downplay here.
Named Brooks on the penalty, Giants get another first in 10 and a fresh set of downs after what was an ugly first couple of please.
They're on the series but renewed as they pushed towards midfield.
Eli Manning, three wide receivers set out of the shotgun, drops back.
Looks time fires over the top, caught Golden Tate on the scramble.
Their gets it done.
Any of the end zone, backpedaling for a touchdown flag on the plate.
We will look and see what they call here could be a beautiful touchdown in a nice grab on the other end there from golden tape.
Boy, I'd like to see what we can glean it against the defense, wave it off Eli Manning to gold and take on a great play there as ah, Eli Manning grabs that bull here.
Listen, that could be an indication that this is one of those last opportunities, as he wants to take every ball that you can away from this game.
A great job over the top, at a guy pulling around the shoulder there, that was need men who tried to turn, ah, turn the shoulders of golden tape.
Yet the concentration from the veteran wide receiver re gathers, spins off a tackle and then worked himself to an end to the end zone there.
And the extra point is through and good for Alec Rosas, and we find ourselves 77 at the 801 mark here in the first quarter.
Fantastic for Eli Manning.
Hands in the air like you just don't care what a great connection there and just going to see Eli Manning doing well.
And also hey, this offense and quick strikes against some bad defense.
That's what you need to do if you want to have success in games like these.
Sorry, I got got, got got engaged, got engaged.
My bully here, Andy.
MCA wits highlighting it well, and it wasn't really a lot to talk to her, so but it's still a great job.
But, you know, I made a great job there, had a little bit of time that you had a little bit time that pocket there, the previous play with that penalty.
Ah, not a lot time that pocket had to make his choice and then release it here.
He gets a little bit more time to let the play develop.
That's the biggest part about this.
I don't care if it's Eli Manning, Daniel Jones, Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Brady meet.
You know Aaron Rodgers, right? You give a quarterback timeto let the routes developed.
That's what allows you have a limitation with.
The life course has always been the legs, and you know whether or not he can extend plays out of the pocket inside the pocket.
And that's where a guy like Aaron Rodgers in the Mobile Russell Onda like can extend plays outside the pockets yoke Daniel Jones can do for you.
But you see when rats have a chance to develop, that's when you can get some good looks.
And in spite of the pass interference, pulling back that shoulder, Golden Tate shows a high level of focus.
Their pulls that one.
And I will say he enjoys celebrating early before he gets down there into that end zone.
I wish that he would just go ahead full steam ahead there and get that one locked in and getting tackled back into the end zone, but nevertheless a great play of for the New York football Giants and just one more memory there for Eli Manning.
As we talk about this being the potential swan song, you know what? Why don't they stop doing that as a fan? I'm gonna keep highlighting things he's doing well, but I'm not gonna believe that point.
That's what they do on these broadcasts.
And I really don't want to be one of those guys.
When it comes about giving some commentary around the Games, right, we don't need to believe that.
Point all. I know the situation.
Let's just engage in this game on our own and see ah see what the results are.
And then we can wax poetic on back in as we get a little bit of action here on Twitter, letting everybody know what a great job Golden Tate.
There, there, kickoff underway here.
That's why I'm just holding my breath as it goes in the end zone. Touchback.
Touchdown for touch back there.
Come out here the 25 looking over some of those with Shula on the sideline.
They're trying to see what they can look at from a matchup standpoint, and trying to expose that again on the next drive they're getting held was down.
The Tom Listen, it doesn't matter.
He's still with the one arm is he gets pushed away.
Grabs Fitzpatrick down to the ground.
They're nice sack play there for of Salomon Tomlinson.
We're highlighting him again as he continues to do some good work on the interior of this defensive line.
Watch how it goes.
You, let's see, takes on the guard off the snap, and actually, really, the guard pulls there so really gives Hellman's in a free free look there into the quarterback.
But, hey, you got to convert those opportunities and he does there.
2nd 15 now for the Miami Dolphins.
Tomlinson five tackles on a forced fumble last week against the Philadelphia Eagles blitz off the eyes does not get their over the top.
Nice pass to get sticky.
They'll bring that one and tackled down by Sam Beale, who I want to make sure he's okay.
There looked like he was reaching for his hand like you may have Janice Singer.
He's all right, and that will be another first down here and you're seeing, though.
Good, quick, decisive decisions from Fitzpatrick.
We highlight as the tight end round comes off there, Sam Bill drops back into coverage, so they switch it up there, and this is then Love goes out of that wide receiver, and then it's feels job to pick up that tight.
And if he gets there but a lot of ground to cover on that play call, and it's just late getting over to pick up the tight end.
First down now and 10 from the 44 yard line hand off, trying to get to the edge, bottled up.
Once again, Mayo in on the tackle they're bringing down that is Gaskin again.
They're bringing him down for no gain on the on the play there, and we will move over to a second and nine here and see if the New York football Giants again, though, and they've been doing this consistently, right? Good first, downplay that.
Second down, please.
Giving some looks, giving some scrambles.
And obviously, the passing attack Right now, 172 yours are ready for this.
Patrick here with six minutes to go in the first half.
This is a guy that could be going for a pretty, pretty nice chunk of change for himself that he has had big career days over the length of his time in the NFL.
Find it over the middle there, connects with Wilson.
They'll bring him down two yards shy.
So it will be 1/3 and two here for the New York football giants.
Another opportunity to try to stop this offensive drive here for Fitzpatrick and give you my Manning.
This offense. Plenty of time.
Wilson may be coming off the field a little bit, gimpy there following that play total yards to 12 92 77 That's what happens in with bad teams playing right.
Even though you're out, you're out gaining your opposition.
You can't manage to get out of your own way and Miss Field goal obviously helped that as well.
Four or five wide receivers set out of the pocket fires across the field in a nice job there again buying DeAndre Baker, looking for Parker, Baker and coverage.
Want to get a look at this reply at one all the credit in the world to go to this young man.
If he's doing a good job, just want to check to see where Fitzpatrick Place that bull and, frankly, on 1/3 and two had some room to step up and run for that if you wanted to.
He puts this one a little behind, so the little behind Parker.
But it gives enough room there for Baker to get his hand in there and once again, a nice pass deflection, though for DeAndre Baker.
He has certainly been a guy that I have been enjoying on a week to week basis over these last couple of weeks, and watching a young man improving again is what you talk about.
If you're a New York football Giants fan, you want to look at these guys and watch him do well, right? I mean, you want to see them develop and I think sometimes, especially early in the season.
This bull takes a bounce at the 10 and then is the beautiful job there by the coverage team there.
That ball takes a very friendly roll for them.
And, ah, he picks up there, Ray the one and just ushers nothing out of bounds.
So it's gonna be a 99 yard field for the New York football Giants when they come back out.
A great job there took a friendly ******* and even the perfect job waiting for it.
This could actually even be even tighter that maybe at the half yard line.
We've seen the Giants have issues with this.
Pat Shurmur, his play calling.
So we'll take a look and see what they try to do here just to give themselves a little bit of re breathing room out of the end zone.
Let's talk about that young gentleman there.
Where is our men? Mr.
Which my head a little bit in terms of where pro football focuses had him.
So, you know, I want to give him credit where credit is due, but these numbers are difficult.
He's rated very low right now.
Let's put it that way.
Let's go with Was this? We're gonna be here in week.
Oh, that would be our still.
Let me see if I can get this up.
I want to take a look at where he ranked.
You know where some of the Giants will be ranked last week in that secondary they have.
I want the postgame coverage and how they looked.
I don't think we get too much that insight that I want there to be able to quantify.
But again, we'll go back inside these numbers.
We talk about DeAndre Baker and how he's performed.
But the bottom line is, what you have seen his last couple of weeks is he's been knocking down some passes right from preventing some catches from happening.
He's been in better position.
We saw him the night that touchdown opportunity for Parker there in the first half, denied A couple looks here in the second quarter, so you know more positive than negative and what's interesting as well, though I'm seeing where some of these balls are going right, love getting caught out a couple of times.
Then it was saying deal that needed that's transition over and didn't get there in coverage.
So interesting to see where the Dolphins are trying to attack the defense of the Giants, which would indicate not necessarily that they won well, boy, the matchup per se.
But maybe they think they can have better success in a particular area as opposed to another on so far.
And we've seen some good chances from a lot of different players.
Julian Love again showing his prowess and around the line of scrimmage.
And then, so far when they've targeted against Baker, he's come up big for them.
So rated about that one yard line.
Let's see if the Giants can give themselves a little bit of breathing room here, and it is just the Barkley goes right up.
That gut gives him a couple of yards and ****ysts, That's what you want.
You want the offensive line to be able to just give you a little bit of a push there and get yourself moving in the right direction.
You know, I'm Manning so far.
Is there highlighting him here? Three of six has taken some shots downfield, right? Got the pass interference call on the Darius Leighton look.
Ah, last five. Big highlight.
One for 1 51 yards.
1st 2 drives, just two of five for 28.
But you got the pass interference cold there with Certainly mattered.
And now we'll see on this drive here for 25 to go.
A long way to go.
But maybe you can get something going here and try to find a little bit of a written A.
Once again, we'll go to say, Quan Barkley.
He goes off the right side and gets pulled down nicely there by Needham, just short of the first down marker.
But it will be 1/3 and one little bit less.
Maybe, and the Giants again.
This is what you wanted to do, I think, at the very least, getting yourself out away from your end zone.
If you can get this first down here and then pick up another handful of yards, move that clock down a little bit.
It least accomplished the first goal of this drive, but again, there's no reason not to take some shots here.
Right Cubes with 40 plus passing yards of 50 yards or more passing touchdowns.
Rather, Eli Manning, with 41 behind the list of Peyton Manning Tom Brady on Brett Far there, another running play on third down Bond that will be a picked up here.
Converting it over, say, Kwame Barclay.
Russia's Get that first out.
Move those chains.
And now think about opening of this offense a little bit.
Be curious to see if Pastor Mercan book a little bit.
Give some glean of optimism here around this team remains 10 7 Cincinnati over New England right now.
That would be the upset of the Century Chicago seven.
Nothing against against the Green Bay there now, with just under five minutes to go there in a second.
And it is a travesty highlighting in nine and 12 but just for 49 yards.
So high percentage low results, jobs, back time.
Fires connects with Sterling Shepard on Lee about a four yard gain there.
So a little chunk of change and shepherd is up.
Looks okay there.
May I tell you what in around one of the wide receiver court being and breath each and every time we talked about this before, you might as well get into it a little bit.
You know evidence room we talked about.
What kind of value is that guy offer you in terms of assets? You could get back if you were to move on from him.
I'm not saying that he's not valuable and you don't know you don't like having him.
But also look at and think you've seen the fence has had some success, has a little bit of blocking prowess, and it's shown enough in the receiving game that maybe you feel like right we can get somebody else.
You don't necessarily need to appetite in the first round, as very few teams make that selection there, Eli.
Now connecting with sake, want Barkley out of the backfield.
He will come just shy here, less than a yard to go third and ah ah, short yard will call it and the Giants once again it will hit the ball out of bounds there, so the clock stops love an opportunity to convert this first.
And how did you get it running again? There's gave him forward progress on a two minute warning will sound here.
The Giants will have a big third down and one here, and with all three timeouts ready to go for them.
This is an opportunity there questioning it right now about why they weren't out about why didn't have that clock stopped there.
But the Giants have a second.
I started third down in 12 minute warning plenty of time here for the Giants with all three time outs to make something happen going to be interesting to see how they approach this year, assuming that they convert.
Then when do you take a shot here? Probably at some point.
If you want to get yourself a least in the fuel going range before you head in the half time back, right, we'll get here in the halftime.
I'm gonna take a nice big step away, get a little reprieve, catch my breath year and then kind of make a decision about how one approach the second half in terms of coverage.
And I'm gonna leave Ah, and just kind of maybe sit back and absorb.
If this one remains a close game going into the fourth quarter, there is a chance that I will go ahead and shut down coverage on SportsCastr and allow myself to sit back and just really soak this game in as a pure New York football Giants fan and Eli Manning fan.
If that is the case, you can follow me over on Twitter and Instagram.
You try to be as active as possible over there, but there is a part of me is the only reason why I'm here.
Doing Giants coverage on SportsCastr is because I want You have always been a pure fan first.
So, uh, you know, we'll see what decision I have to make their If the Giants continue playing a tight game as we move towards halftime here, um, I just want to be caught up.
As you said, it's gonna be caught up in the nostalgia of this moment.
So we'll see where it goes here and then even if I do leave on it, though, I'll come back in with a little postgame coverage before stepping away for the remainder.
Oh, you think once again, here we were highlighting Eli Manning not exactly letting the world on fire, but on the now, including his drive.
Plus another pick up there five of 8 88 yards and you're seeing two.
Why mean and listen? By the way you know Daniel Jones, you want to talk about that a little bit, too.
I know that if you said you were replacing Daniel Jones with again a top echelon quarterback, but with a difference.
See? But you are also seeing a limitation.
You only have about 103 offensive pass, please offers enough time for the quarterback to look, let route develop, let rats developed excuse me and then get the ball downfield against the receiver's hands.
So that's why you don't see big numbers from sake of sorry from Daniel Jones.
Nice job, I say.
Quan Barkley gets caught over the line for a second.
Shovels to the right, cuts up to the left, and it's a big first down pick up their moves.
The chains and Barkley will dance his way across here as we highlight there on the edge.
It was. We'll see if we can highlight.
I'd like a chance to quick, quick. Back in the offense.
They go shock on play.
Three. Wide receiver set the lifetime.
Swings it over to Barclay.
Barclay, going upfield.
Head of steam gets a nice 89 yard pickup and steps out of bounds, stopping the clock, maintaining the three time outs for the New York football Giants and a buck 30 to go here.
Barclay looking for a little bit of a reprieve here.
We'll try to give him a breather before getting him back in and having him available for them as they move down, we'll hope for its mid field.
I want to get that run, play and see if you can highlight Smith and what he did on that block from blocking standpoint again talking about what we've seen here from him in terms of time and receiving and also run blocking past.
Walking past protection 20.
12 of them have been through Barkley shotgun dropping back outside.
They're caught immediately behind the line of scrimmage.
Not a great look.
Flagged down a cz.
Well, we'll take a look at they call a holding penalty here, as they were bringing some pressure quickly, There may be a defensive holding.
We will see holding on the offense goes against Ah, 71.
Will Hernandez there So they will now replay this second down.
Be interesting there.
Ah, little surprised.
Maybe if you were the Miami Dolphins that you wouldn't think about taking the result because a second too was gonna become 1/3 and six.
Now I know they'll back it up in a lot of being a 2nd 12 though.
So another opportunity here bad job there on the outside is trying to reset their as they look to get a little screen set up.
Doing three penalties apiece for these teams.
34 yards for the Dolphins, 25 for the New York Giants.
At the shotgun once again, 2nd 12 from their own 31 1 26 to go.
You like drops back fires and right into the hands.
They're easy interception for the Miami Dolphins and Sterling Shepard miscommunication, it looks like with Eli Manning setting the New York football star, the Miami Dolphins up here perfectly with a minute 20 to go.
Very ugly play there.
There's nothing you can say about that.
When he just stopped, he just dropped back, look and fired.
And it was, Ah, bagel that came up with this interception here, just looking.
And it seems like Sterling Shepard sat down, and I don't know if you like him to continue that route across or not, but ultimately a turnover and a deflated new York football Giants Fan trying to maintain about broadcast here on SportsCastr uh, boy, that one was just brutal.
No two ways about it.
Bad interception, bad look, minute 27 7 game.
And now Miami has an opportunity to establish themselves that moving the ball fantastic through the air, all three of their time outs to work with.
And they can kind of try to eat up this clock a little bit ourselves into a good look here to be up at halftime.
I would expect that Probably try to push the temple a little bit, just in terms of, you know, don't get yourself bogged down and have to settle for a field goal.
You're in prime position here toe.
Let Fitzpatrick keep working.
Keep looking toe to pick apart this defense a little bit, and if he gets the right look, you can certainly send this one out to, Parker said.
It's a Wilson problem.
Houston Wilson Getting run after catch opportunities would be a chance for them to get themselves that touchdown after missing a few ago.
Also in that first quarter.
Oh, that one's done.
Oh, that one stung.
I'm trying trying to move past that.
Ah, you know, finally, this before, too.
There's been times when, even when he was the starter, were saying about communication about where rats supposed to go.
At a certain point, you know, we've always highlighted about Eli.
Is the smart quarterback knows the playbook inside, announced that sometimes we see his miscommunication.
Maybe, you know, at some point had to say Could go either way, though, right? And, ah, and certainly on that one there it looked like two different things were expected because either it is once you things either relax with something different.
Research Shepherd or completely did not see that linebacker there, and he's thinking that he has the coverage in behind Sterling Shepard.
He's in a great position, sitting down fire to the outside and then just right there.
The only has half a step away in a perfect position really throws right into the valley.
So, God, that stinks.
You just want to see Eli Manning with the chance that have a nice, clean game here, uh, nevertheless, and then, more importantly for this game's purposes 77 and an opportunity for the Miami Dolphins to get a lead going toe halftime Giants will get the ball to start the second half, so they can always They're going right this ship here a little bit.
But fortunately on that secular play, just not an opportunity there to make it happen first and 10 now for Miami from the 28 following the turnover fakes, the handoff fires over the top there drops loving coverage.
But he had an opportunity there.
That was Ah, that was the tight end as he tried to look for the name here.
Woolford had his hands on it but could not pull it in a good job, at least by love, getting his hands in there after the fact.
But on the replay there, right in the midst, you think he's gonna bring that one and at least give yourself a chance to catch it? Love there in coverage might be able to break it up, but chance for a quick first down there and get themselves inside the 22nd and 10 Now Fitzpatrick in the shotgun, three wide receiver set looks fires out to the running back out of the backfield and a nice play there.
That is a big man.
They're careful you don't get hit with a with a flag there for taunting after the fact.
As Buffet comes over and has a little conversation with Buchanan, the other veteran there, on this New York football drying team signed off the street.
He read that one quickly, got himself down field in a hurry and put his is a shoulder rate through rate through the running back there out of the backfield.
Bring up 1/3 and 10 and now the Giants will use that first time out.
Here is so unlike last week, right end of the first half.
I didn't wanna risk Pat Shurmur.
I didn't want to risk playing a game.
They're trying to discourage them from trying to move the ball or thinking that they get something done here.
Instead, he calls a quick time out with 105 on the clock, and we will now see 1/3 and 10 and a big play.
Get off the field here.
Even if you surrender the field goal, then you'll still have the look with at least one time out.
Maybe even, too, if it's an incomplete pass for the Giants to get back out here on offense and try to take a shot again.
You have nothing to lose here.
So if you do get back out on the field with a minute to go on a time out of reverence stands.
Might as well grip it and rip it.
Try to take some looks downfield.
We saw pass interference, calling a touchdown.
The tapes saw past the interference called looking on the sideline, Thio Thio sleeping.
So there's no reason not to try to put this defense in positions to get cold on penalties and move this ball down the field from the 28 13 10 109 Few seconds put back on the clock there, out of the shotgun, five wide receivers said.
Empty backfield look.
Fitzpatrick looks, fires and connects, and it will be Sam Bill pushing Parker out of bounds.
But they convert, and now, with five and three times and the Giants looks and maybe just get out of here giving up the field, it's not a bad deal.
Listen, it's on a bad look.
It's just, you know again, it's a good route, runs up the field button hooks back down towards that sideline, and if your deal.
He's trailing and coverage and just has no pivot and get downhill in a hurry and, uh, passed away giving up, right? I mean, in that scenario, I'd almost rather play a little bit tighter and coverage.
Be willing to maybe give up the over top.
Look, if you're going to surrender it here, they try to go over the top and a nice job there this time. Sam Veal again.
So a good job here by sand deal.
We're highlighting the positives that we can find on this giant secondary.
He'll find himself in one on one coverage at the pylon here if it's Patrick with a decent bowl.
And again, this is Ford here.
I'm gonna get the look from the other side.
Where does this hit forward? It's four in the face mask, and actually so I mean, like, deal is there and coverage.
But this is a ball that maybe four would like to have another chance to pull in their second intend now minutes ago.
Ah, Giants again trying to hold here from the 15 Fitzpatrick will have an opportunity out of the shotgun.
Three wide receiver set with Ford moving in, moving in, Ah, motion here now three wires shoes at the top of the screen.
Fitzpatrick drops back, looks tries to step up, and he will fire that one down into the ground.
We'll see if they called that already down or incomplete, that was so they're gonna call it incomplete.
So 55 seconds to go here.
Nice pressure from the Giants.
That is Leonard Williams getting to a Fitzpatrick as he tried to step up and buy a little bit of time in the pocket, flushed out of there by Golden by Golden's pressure and then goes right into Leonard Williams.
And this fires that one off of the ground looking for his running back on the outlet again.
This is Williams in five games, seven Q B hits, two tackles for loss.
So you're seeing what he's put on tape for them when you talk about the off season and what they're gonna have to make a decision about.
From the standpoint of offering him a new contract.
Third and 10 they are three of six year on the day, averaging a little under six yards to go, so this is a longer one for them three wide receivers said again, Plenty of time looks fire.
They're just shy the sticks so they will hold him of short eyes.
Going to be just about 1/2 a yard shy here.
So will bring up fourth down, a nice job, thereby feel closed in a hurry.
Listen, catch was made, but he's right there to meet him.
And then this is one of those things is not a knock on Parker, but you always say right? What do you want? To see your team? Your players do get past the line the game and then come back to make that play.
Always give yourself an extra cushion because otherwise you end up leaving yourself open to the potential of that exact play, where you take a little bit of a step there in behind those sticks, and then a sound tackle prevents you from getting across the line and converting over for a new set it down.
Looks like Miami may go forward here and again.
He'll have to be wary over the top, and that was that was not Parker on that. I apologized.
That's going to be trying to read that name there we'll see.
But Forbes again is Flora's.
Jimmy is going to go for it here.
Fourth and one Giants have a big opportunity.
Still have one time out so they can get this turnover on a stop and give themselves a chance.
Obviously, Miami, having three time outs, can convert and get themselves off the field year.
Another big play for the defense.
Let's get a little background audio and they will call the time out.
So looking at maybe draw someone off signs there they don't get Tau happen doesn't mean they can't go forward again here, as Fitzpatrick has a little bit of fun there with Leonard Williams and at the line of scrimmage s so they could still try to go for it again if they wanted to.
But I would assume that they're going to bring in the kicking unit here and give themselves an opportunity to go up 10 7 with what will be 47 seconds left on the clock.
They will kick away and again if you're the Giants and I am.
If I'm a Giants fan, I want Pat Shurmur going for it here.
When you get this pullback with one time out and 41 after the kickoff, 45 40 seconds on the clock.
You can use the entire field, get a first, get a completion, run up, spike that bull, get down, get give yourself an opportunity on second and 10 look to make some deep place, use a time out a second, Siri's and give you give us a chance for a long field.
Why not? The lack of commitment to taking risks by Pat Shurmur has certainly been an issue for them over the length of the over the early run of the season.
But that was a close one there.
That thing was trying to hook back outside.
As you see for the ah, for the Miami kicker there gets it to slice his way through 10 7 we will have the kickoff.
So much like we've highlighted when Daniel Jones to quarterback here for the Giants turnovers, leading to opportunities and certainly almost, you know right now almost could've been disastrous. Equipment.
14 7 Nice job by this defense again, highlighting that they played pretty strong football last handful of games on.
Unfortunately, turnovers lead the point opportunities, and you saw that here for the Miami Dolphins with 44 seconds on the clock and a kickoff coming with one time out of their pocket.
What will the Giants look to do here? Will the offensive line yet? Little holdup? Now again, one of those things about want to take chances or rest is asking the Giants to do something on the offensive line.
Prevent those looks from the defense trying to bring those blitz packages and give a quarterback in the minor who it is on opportunity.
Get the ball downfield so we'll see what they come out with here to get things underway.
As we move towards halftime, I'll do a brief look in and I'm gonna like to come back in.
Just recap what we saw in the first half.
From a stat line standpoint, we know that Patrick has been having excuse me a lot of opportunities here.
Meanwhile, the Giants, stymied under 100 back passing yards so far out of the end zone will come.
Cody Latimer slices around the edge there, gets himself up to about the 25 we will have 39 seconds left to go.
Yeah, and again, here is a highly that interception That's what Eli Manning not seeing, because it showed it from behind the line of scrimmage.
He thinks he's got that coverage behind, and he completely misses the linebacker on that place.
So nothing, nothing.
They're beyond state by Eli Manning.
And that was Ah Mei Mei's first career interception against the Miami Dolphins.
A highlight on the broadcast.
Their 35 Eli Manning out of the shotgun jobs back has time looks fires on Lee to Kevin Smith.
There for pickup of about nine.
See if they hustle up here second down and 1 25 25 seconds to play.
Just run this play.
Used the entire field.
Maybe try to call a time out.
Let's see what you get out of the shotgun again for wide receiver set drops back.
Looks fires over the middle of the steak.
Want Barkley? He'll give himself a handful of yards and then rumble down there.
Called the time out here with 10 seconds, and that will set them up here on a first and 10 from Try to see here.
Uh, other games here.
27 now Seattle up over Carolina, 10 of 1380 yards and two touchdowns for Russell Wilson.
So we'll wait to see here. You.
Well, you get here with 10 seconds left.
Not a lot of opportunities.
You're only about the 40 45 yard line.
Is the only chance you have is to try to run an out route to the sidelines here, pick up 10 to 12 yards.
And at that point, you're still not gonna be in a position where you're really looking to accomplish.
Here is a chance to maybe have ah, hell, Mary, look down towards the end zone.
They find themselves setting up a rate now at their own 45.
So you can again.
You can pick up 10 to 15 yards on an out route past.
Obviously, it has to be where you're getting a chance to get out of bounds.
You assume that Miami will be playing a soft prevent defense here as well.
You let drops back fires down the sideline out of bounds, looking for golden *****.
Just six seconds to go.
Now you see there it only took five seconds to get that playoff.
So you still could run a little out around here and it begs the question to see for me.
I don't mind it.
Either way, you're taking chances.
You're trying to move the ball downfield, but I wouldn't hate with 10 seconds the quick out route for five yards take 34 seconds off the clock.
So yourself again, maybe you can squeeze in that extra play there and pick up five yards, five yards and then a position to heat that ball down the field.
As you see, everyone in Miami will drop all the way back.
Just the three down linemen here.
So with six seconds, you know again, do you take the chance of just running that quick out route and letting someone get out of bounds? You can give yourself two plays, er if you want, and it looks like fancy here.
Timeout by Miami's a timeout by Miami there, and I think if you're Brian Flora's, you're probably considering I would think the way you have the wide receivers set up there.
They're sitting on the outside at every opportunity just to throw a quick little out route, pick up 67 yards and still leave one or two seconds on the clock and an opportunity to give yourself a look at an easier deep throw down the field.
7 to 10 years, 57 yards doesn't make a bit of a difference there in terms of getting yourself set up to throw to the end zone.
If you're Eli Manning difference between can you feel the ball 60 yards in the air? Can you throw the ball or 55 right now? Can you throw the ball 50 47 48 yards down the field? So we'll see here again as they dio they bring some of these.
President brings some of their cornerbacks a little bit closer lives.
Humans are all playing about 10 yards off, but they were about to have an opportunity for a quick 10 yard out rap that's still left. Time on the clock.
Drops back, has time.
Looks, throws deep down the left sideline interception again here for the rookie need men and now gotta be careful opportunity to return this thing.
He works himself outside a nice job by the offensive line to wrap it up.
We will get out the door here at the end of the first half.
You know, I'm manning sales that bowl there, just trying to make something happen now.
Second interception here in the first half.
Eight and 3916 yards.
One touchdown, two interceptions.
200 yards on 17 and 25.
Touchdown running attack.
Nothing moving on the needle from we said earlier, too.
Big runs from Fitzpatrick for them, say Quan.
Barkley has looked strong with 10 carries for 46 yards in the first half.
Just speak of the high man is Jaden Smith with two for 36 then barking out of the backfield with three catches for 25 yards.
We try to go inside the numbers here on anything across that offensive line.
They won't give us that stat line here per se defensively.
What did we see? Pass deflections.
Two for DeAndre Baker, one for Michael Thomas, and those were the highlights on that side of it.
Q B hits, though unable to get to the quarterback of one time there with sack for Dalvin Tomlinson, and that includes his tackle for the lost.
There, too, for Julian Lovas.
Well, stopping that run Game four there, so we head into halftime in 10 7 game here for the New York football Giants trailing, getting the ball to start the second half.
We step away and take a break, and then we'll come back in on the action as we get under way there in there third quarter and see if the Giants back on offense, chance to reset themselves and find a bit more of a rhythm there on the offensive side of the ball.
This, as always, has been the one giant podcast live on SportsCastr will be back in about 10 15 minutes following the halftime break back here in the second half.
A game action underway as I just finished communicating with my girlfriend off camera that the Giants have been struggling and you live through a second pick there.
One of those, you know, throwaway kind of picks.
But right here out of the gate first downplay their votes to go deep downfield.
Take their shot breaks out of his route.
Nicely is Darius Layton connects with Eli Manning there from Eli Manning on that passed and just like that big chunk play to start off the second half of This is what you talk about when this offense just give, give your quarterback enough time to have some looks inside.
Draw here to Barclay on first and only goes for a yard.
So we'll see here.
Not a bad Not gonna knock that too much.
You just come off that big play to start the start to drive off.
So a nice look again, This is a second day that's susceptible for the Miami Dolphins.
Remember, it's where the second interception there is clearly trying to push the ball down the field.
Uh, and Aiken again make my case about what I think you could be doing with that limited amount of time there in the second half of the first half.
But you know, we saw this last week against the Eagles.
What were that? What were the Giants unable to dio? Effectively move the ball through the air and it goes back to offensive line playing.
How much time you're giving your quarterback, but it just seems like, and we're talking with Jake from the in the hunt podcast on our cross over.
No, he was talking about how the Giants will have some opportunities to move this ball high scoring game.
You know, relatively high scoring game I think you called for it in the twenties.
24 That's what for he knew that he was gonna have fully healthy receivers there as a sleeping comes off the field here for a beat.
Don't know if he's dinged up it all. Just taking a breather.
It looks like, but 3rd 3 now will come up here for the New York football Giants from now inside.
The 40 of Miami from the 37.
So nice opening drive here, but you need to convert and get yourself on the board with a touchdown.
You gotta drop back.
Fires over the mill connects with Golden Tate.
Nay, Chloe Latimer Finally making an appearance on the receiving end of things and a nice quick three step drop.
Find your receiver fire to make that connection.
Move the chains here.
So the Giants we talked about adjustments.
Looks like they've made some here, firing on all cylinders as coating.
Lander gets down inside the 22 about the 16 yard line here, and the Giants quickly find themselves in the red zone against Miami looking to get themselves right back into this thing.
But you want to punch it through for a touchdown.
This is again a situation where I found the Giants and you get down to 1/4 and short.
I'm going for it.
There's no reason not to be trying to get yourself the points when you have the opportunity to do so.
You don't know how many looks you're going to get over the second half with the up and down play off all of the units on this team.
First down, draw straight running, play. Go to, say, Quan Barkley.
He takes a little sidestep, gets up the field there, will pick up a solid five, maybe even six yards.
Flag on the play will see if this comes back.
You saw Golden Tate on the outside.
They're kind of pumping his fists a little bit.
Ah, and they will call it against the defense.
Here is all the Giants are celebrating so good.
Look there and we will see it was hands to the face on the defense they call.
So a couple extra yards add it on to the back end of this one could convert you to a first down, or at least very second shorter for the Giants.
But whether It's going forward on the fourth down here, you have everything to play for in terms of getting on the board and taking the lead.
You have nothing to lose because you're too.
I mean, is the kind of games you want to keep competing in AA and really keep your foot to the floor here and then not let up against a bad defense, right? You're a bad defense.
So were they your stymied offense that can struggle.
So are they both these teams for the passing yards that we've seen Miami give up on the defense side? And so if we offensively, you can't seem to ever find a full rhythm.
And you see that going both ways so far in this game fakes the handoff.
Eli looking looking plenty of time fires to the back of the end zone.
And it is the rookie Darius Slay and touching those toes down, getting himself in the end zone.
Eli Manning, now with his second touchdown of the day, and the Giants, will take a 13 soon to be.
We assume 14 to 10 lead here early in the third quarter.
Six play, 70 yard, three minute drive, resulting in the New York football giants getting back out in front.
I figure it's a good a time as any mind checking on your fantasy lineup.
Maybe you're a guy like me who was smart enough to go ahead and put in getting a waiver, claiming on Darius late in a handful of weeks ago and benefit from them.
And then you're also probably, though clumsy enough to not have started in last week when he had 33 points.
But get it this time.
He did it this time, friends.
So, just like that, as I I won't tell you where I stand in terms of how many points I put up or what my status is in my fantasy league, that's neither here nor there.
Wins and losses don't matter.
A nice, nice drive here from the Giants, and Eli Manning finds Darius Lane, who got lost there, basically in the back of the ends of wide open, trailing away 14 to 10 11 53 to go here in the third quarter.
So a nice looking dr right, let's get inside those numbers.
Remember, we're highlighting you lied Throne for just 116 yards and then already now upto 1 74 off of that dr 12 of 18.
The stats of the staff's what comes to the two picks.
Really, it's been a to a two touchdown, one interception day for him having a nice performance.
And just like that, the balance here with his extra drive, all the sudden, it's evening things out in terms of the yardage here and then the secondary element of this is primarily through the air.
On that drive connections with various Slaten on the first play, then found Cody Latimer for nice game.
Then ultimately, Slaten again.
They're in the back of the end zone.
But you know, now you've given some balance here.
You've shown that you can do it.
So now that balance of the run and pass attack can pay dividends on the next drive because you can look toe, hopefully run some wide receiver sets there.
We spread them out a little bit and then still work a draw.
Potentially Thio sake want Barkley and continue to look to get him involved, certainly in the passing game as well as he had those now four catches for 31 yards, including one here.
Start off of the second half.
You know, you gotta look Darius late in his 1st 2 catches of the game for 31.
In that touch, he spread the ball around a lot.
Has Eli Manning with Smith having a couple of good catch is there in the first half.
A CZ? Well, you know, get some opportunities here.
Maybe look to get, uh, still, Barkley involved through space First rookie draft in the fifth round or later, with eight plus touchdown reception since 2006 is Darius Leighton marquees Colton of the New Orleans Saints.
Completing that feet, this has been again, like you said, breakout season for Darius Leighton.
I think you automatically identify that he is value for you.
And I was thinking about this yesterday.
I'll see if I can get it pulled up on Twitter here because we were just highlighting one of the ah, one of the other things we're seeing on.
Twitter was noting where they think the Giants need to go here next season.
I'll be hard pressed to probably figure find this again.
They were listening to some of these assets and I think when they got to the wide receiver.
I think they listed to being needed there.
You know, you could say you want to bring in new receivers, but the relative one for one of Cody Latimer or some of these back and receivers.
But I do think you can identify Sterling Shepard and Darius Late is being quality pressure in the face of Ryan Fitzpatrick as they get underway there.
That was golden.
Williams, also contributing on the pressure, has to throw it away early.
Wild past goes out of bounds away from his receiver, Second in 10 Patriots is the highlight here.
Game looks looking looking was Tom Brady finally fired and was able connect to the back of the end zone there, so New England gets themselves back out on top.
Members trailed, Ah, 10 to 7, and this one is now 22 7 They're 21 3 Tampa Bay over Detroit.
I think you would expect that terrible defense for Detroit, and even with the mistakes from Jameis Winston, they've had an opportunity tohave some big games.
This one goes over the middle.
They're looking to connect with Wilson.
Saw the defender got in there, got a hand in on that ball.
We highlight the real replay here to see as he looked for Wilson, who got his hand on that one may have been, we'll see if it was actually buffet.
Let's take a look.
Nope, it's going, Oh, yes, It was so nice job by buffet on that particular play let out a little bit to the right side of the field and then darted back over the middle following Fitzpatrick size, able to get a hand on that one and deny the opportunity.
Now Fitzpatrick up to the line to adjust.
Coming out of 543 on the play clock.
They do get it off in time, scanning the field.
Pressure coming, Williams rushes him out of the pocket.
He will scramble.
He is on the move, and he doesn't take a shot there from Ogletree, and this could be a fumble recovery by the New York football Giants.
We will take a look and see hard shoulder thrown in by Alec Ogletree right there, and it looks like Giants wanted Giants call for it.
Referees sifting to the bottom of this pile be a big shift here, and New York football Giants get this recovery here? Some of that, like me, said Devil may care attitude from Ryan Fitzpatrick.
When he's going on a run like that, he is not going to sacrifice and go down on the sly.
He's going to sacrifice his body and trying to move forward for that first down, Olga, through the monster hit there.
And then we'll take a look at who got that recovery.
Watch this beauty of the hard shoulder to shoulder last time back, and then Williams really, really little bit elbow flick in there.
That ends up bringing that ball out.
And then I still don't get to see who we saw on that fumble recovery.
Baker was not. He wasn't around.
It was not there on it.
You see Michael Thomas coming in behind this plate, so he may have been the one that got down on top of it.
Initially, he's the body that gets down there for the New York football giants, and I wonder if he was able to hold on to it either way.
Nice job by Leonard Williams flushes Fitzpatrick out of the pocket and then just lay in the wood was the veteran Ogle tree right there and then down inside that scrum locked up and brought back.
And just like that, the New York football Giants have an opportunity here to get up big with 11 33 in the third quarter.
This is under review to check.
We watches that shoulder was lead.
Fitzpatrick's knee starts to maybe go down is like it's bent underneath itself.
So double check to see when that ball comes out here.
Love to find out that it is a fact that fumble recovered by the Giants but nevertheless still a really strong play getting pressure in there as we take a look at this replay now not down.
His knee is down there, so his right knee does touch down near the other angle here to take a look and see where that ball is, because it's pretty easy to tallies in the wide open space as the shoulder gets laid.
Oh, boy, it's a bang bang play.
But I wouldn't be surprised if this gets overturned, is it? Looks like maybe love is the one who ultimately got that fumble recovery.
We'll see if they're giving that stat line right now.
You still have to talk to the knee is down, Boy, it's starting to come out Or is it not come out yet? So that's the interesting part.
I would say that they're going to overturn this year.
But remember, it is definitive knowledge knowing that the ball was not starting to move as Leonard Williams sweeps that Armin and that's really what starts it.
The knee goes down, the ball starts to already be squirting out.
This is really gonna be a tight one.
Yeah, the decide whether or not and that was who was getting that recovery for them. It could be corny.
Ballentine maybe on the back side of this, getting that recovery potentially.
Ah, so they were going back to silent.
The knee is down, the ball is there.
But again, is it coming loose or about to come loose? So this bang bang play it feels like it's almost at the same time and they're gonna have a heart will be hard pressed.
I think 2 may be overturned.
If it was called down on the field, I don't think they'd turn it over to be a fumble.
And likewise, I don't know if they overturn this back the other way.
Giving what? The play was cold initially on the field.
The ruling on the field stands as called.
And again, this is one of those things where it was going to be ruled down.
It would have stayed rule down if it was gonna be ruled a fumble.
It was going to stay a fumble.
So the turnover is complete.
The New York football Giants will get an opportunity now here with the first turnover that this defense has brought up.
And we highlighted this, we thought maybe some opportunities for some defensive interceptions on the back end of this one or more accurately, in this game.
Just, you know, because Fitzpatrick is willing to take those chances, even running the bull coughs it up here and the Giants will have it on the 33 of Miami going in.
You know, I understand. It is the two wide receiver set.
They move him in, motion the handoff instead, Barkley straight up the gut, he goes bursting through, gets that second level, and we'll pick up eight yours on a first down run here, bringing up a second short and with the way this game is trending.
I probably as I was highlighting in the first half, probably gonna step away here at some point and just go ahead and allow myself to sit back and enjoy the remainder of this game on.
I'll finally touch back out on the nostalgia.
You know, I'm Manning and ah, and just what he's going to be able to do.
There is highlighting fewest points off takeaways both the Giants and Miami at just 27 2nd Downplay is gonna come up short here, but 1/3 and one from inside the 25 just about schooler comes across the Diallo Kansas City, now 23 to 3 up over Denver.
In case you're wondering on but, yeah, I'm gonna step back and enjoy the remainder of this game.
Just allow myself tow.
Watch the swan song here.
Whatever the result, maybe I'll carry this through this possession, and then I'll step away based on what we see as we move through.
Then this third quarter into the fourth quarter, maybe I'll hop back on.
But this is an opportunity as a New York football Giants fan for me that kick my feet up on the couch having adult beverage and just enjoy what I get to see here.
Third and one, they go with the past play.
Eli Manning looking firing, throws the interception over the middle.
Linebacker's gonna get this pick off here, and he is going back the other way.
Finally pushed out of bounds as, ah, Eli Manning.
Just, you know, listen, so I admire the opportunity there and saying, Let's go ahead and go forward here instead of running in fear you're gonna get stuff.
Unfortunately here, Eli was looking.
I don't know if that was Slaten or possibly a Sterling Shepard deep there, but again, pressure in his face.
And just like Fitzpatrick, he's got nothing to lose here.
So he throws one up there and it ends up getting picked off, so we'll be going the other direction.
That feels like as good a time for me as they need to step away here as we see 14 10 game Giants up now back around midfield will be the Miami Dolphins, and this kind of feels like what a two and 11 team taking on a three and 10 teams should feel like in a game right back and forth.
Not sure what's gonna happen next.
A lot of mistakes on both sides of the bull from Eli Manning perspective.
Wish that he wasn't having some of these turnover.
But it is what it is.
I'm gonna go ahead and step away, have a little snack again, crack of beverage and just enjoy myself for the remainder of this game here.
As we send a farewell wish over to Eli Manning, the Giants defense has been playing pretty strong.
Even a veteran like Ogletree has done a nice job for those in that shoulder. Gets the turnover.
Ah, you like what you see in the secondary.
DeAndre Baker has had some solid plays breaking up a few passes.
Love contributing down inside in the run game.
Even Sam Beale on the back end There I had a good look.
Preventing a touchdown ended up going off Ford's face.
Max in the first half is in a great position, had his head back looking for the ball.
So some good highlight.
Please hear from this defensive secondary in some of the young players, and that's probably just want to keep watching for over the remainder of this defense once again step up and get this, do you think? But the New York football Giants team was gonna galvanize around Eli Manning.
I think the defense has certainly done that.
We've seen reasonable play from this offensive line, giving some looks for, say, Quan Barkley, couple of stuffed in around the line of scrimmage, which we come to get used to this year.
But I think they've done enough.
And now maybe, you know it is the wear and tear and the the age of Eli Manning coming to bear here as he's had again.
One completely inexcusable interception, the one at halftime.
You kind of walk away from knowing what that was.
And then this year, as the pressure comes in, tries a little bailout throw there and just does not get enough underneath.
It picked off going the other way.
You can't continue to follow us on Twitter and Instagram will have a couple of little news and notes.
Maybe as we move through the remainder of this game.
As always, get on there and listen to the podcast will have that bonus content interview with Jake from in the hunt.
That'll be coming up tomorrow just to get some insight in and around the Miami Dolphins franchise.
It's not really focusing on this game.
Will talk about the coach, the culture, the quarterbacks moving into next year, what they're looking to do in around the drafts or some nice insights there.
If you want to check that out and then we'll come in on Tuesday or Wednesday this week.
Reset what we're talking about in terms of the draft and everything included there with it, and I don't know if I'll be back on here is, well, doing some news and notes as we get into the week talking.
Ah, player reactions following this game.
Great big run there on the outside for a huge game.
One of the first big break out runs there for layered in this one getting the Miami Dolphins raid in here into the red zone and an opportunity to give themselves a good look.
As they move forward, they hide the new highway interception here will see its don't meet in, so it's a nice job on the line backer.
He dummied down in and then released a nice, rangy play.
Step back 10 yards reached up, but that one out of the sky there, so nothing you can do about it bad play a lineman and shaking is having the sidelines watching.
It wasn't the result is a result, so enjoy the remainder of the game.
I'll see it, possibly the back end of this one.
At the very least, we'll go ahead and come in with you at the beginning of the week and start to do some news and notes.
Player reactions around the result of this game.
Thank you so much for joining us and, as always, a continued healthy and happy holiday season throughout the month of December, from myself out of Margaret and the entire one giant podcast group.
